J. Mack, you know, people are freaking out. We had to draw against Wales. Italy didn't make the World Cup. Argentina lost in the opening match. We're okay. Can you imagine? You live in the beautiful country of Italy. You drink wine and you love football.

And you don't make the world cop. So you think we got problems. We've got to draw. Those are football-starved countries and their team's not even in it. Argentina with that loss this morning is, that's a shocker of the tournament. I think Saudi Arabia was like 25 to 1

at kickoff for that game. Massive upset. Wow. Friday, USA, England. Cross your fingers. That's all I'm going to say. All right. The herd hierarchy,

I don't think it's that difficult at the top. I feel somewhat I've been a Bengal-Niner fan all year and everybody's been selling their Niner and Bingle stock so I'm feeling myself a little bit this morning. Little more intolerable than usual. Here we go.

Heard hierarchy. Time is now, let's go. The top 10 NFL teams according to college. Number 10. Tampa Bay makes the list because I think they found a run game, 161 yards rushing against the Seahawks. Now, they don't get big plays. Forty-eight big plays all year, second worst in the league. So you're not looking at the Chiefs or the bills here. But there is a way to play in the NFC and win games. Aaron Rogers is not going to make the playoffs. It's going to be Brady. They've got back-to-back wins.

They've found a run game. They're getting a little healthier. They're 11 and 2 after their by week since Brady joined the team. So I think they're getting better and they've found themselves bucks at number 10. Number nine. Listen, I've been high on the Vikings, but I've also bet against them for three straight weeks. 29th ranked total defense. Only losses have been against Dallas and Philadelphia, and those teams are combined 16 and 4, so they're losing to the right teams. But I think everybody saw this coming.

They were winning a lot of close games. There are limitations at quarterback. Their defense has a better pass rush than previous years, but number nine is where the Vikings sit this morning. Number eight. The Cowboys. Listen, it's a nice win. It was predictable.

Their offense since Dak returned, he's been giving you 100 plus passer ratings. There's a lot to like. They have now a two-headed monster at running back. Very productive, and their tight end is healthy. They have a legit number one in CD Lamb and a great pass rusher in Michael Parsons. I still believe I think that Dak and the head coach in big spots can be liabilities, these, and that's why I have the Cowboys at 8. Number 7.

Meanwhile, I think the Titans could be the best coach team in the league, not called the Chiefs. Seventh win in their last eight games. The fact they took the Chiefs to overtime without a second half first down is just remarkable. They've missed 160 games. Player games have been missed due to injuries, second most in the league. So they're not even healthy.

They're 8 and 2 against the spread. What does that tell you? Is that they're totally undervalued as a team. They are tough. They're physical. They're the kind of team that could go to Arrowhead and you look up and go, wait a minute, why is Mahomes watching the second half? I wouldn't want to play them.

They're always playing with House money. They never get respect. They're 7 and 3. Titans at number 7. Number 6. Philadelphia. Listen, they've held opponents under 20 points in five of their last six games. They've got a little bit of an interior D-line issue.

And I do think when you face them the second time, you see him. As the season progresses, there are some solutions to this offense. And the real issue is they're not talented enough to give the ball away and win. The Chiefs are. Philadelphia is not. They've had six giveaways over the last two games. They had only three in their first eight games. So they were playing incredibly clean football.

And now, as we've talked about, fumbles are kind of random. Now they're losing them. They're on the ground. They're not getting them in Philadelphia. I have at six. Number five. Miami surprises me, but I had them as a playoff team. They're 14 and 1 in the last 15 games, Tua has finished.

So they're productive. They've got a smart coach. I mean, they don't make mistakes. 18 touchdowns, three picks. They don't make mistakes. Now, their defense, it's pretty average. And that in the end is, I think, this is a flashy, fun, explosive team. But I trust the Bill's defense to make big plays.

I trust Cincinnati's wildly underrated defense in the AFC playoff to make plays, or Baltimore's or Kansas City's front seven. I don't trust this defense dolphins at five. Number four. The bills, here's the good news. Last couple of weeks, they found a run game. Here's the bad news. Now their defense has leaks.

A team that doesn't have a ton of nuance, they have to win by knockout. They don't jab or move well. But I think they recognize their issues, and they have, founder running game in the last couple of weeks. But now you're seeing some leaks on that defense. Listen, they're dangerous, they're explosive. They look like Super Bowl participants look like. They just got to clean up some stuff.

Number three. I think the most underrated team in the league is Cincinnati. So they lose their star receiver, top five receiver in the league. They lose their star running back, top five, six running back in the league. And they've had 400 plus totally yards in three of their last four games. This team is deep, a reservoir of talent. Burrow is unbelievable. And their defense, you just can't name any of their starters.

I don't love their corners, but it's a real defense that shut Pittsburgh down and has shut multiple teams down in the second half. Joe Mixon will come back. He's battling a concussion. Jamar Chase is coming back. But listen, when you can lose your top two stars and put up almost 40 points, that's something. And Burrell remains, like Mahomes, a great quarterback trailing on the road, second halfs and big spots. I wouldn't want to play them. I wouldn't want to play this team in the

playoffs. They're never out of a game. Number two. I love my 49ers. Now they're getting healthy. Listen, you guys were bailing on them all year. They're finally healthy. Pro bowlers in every unit. Now, 63% of Garoppolo's passing yards come after the catch. They don't throw the ball deep. They don't throw it up the sideline. It's death by a thousand cuts. So there's a way they win, but they're 4-0 against their division, each win by 15 plus points. They have, in my opinion, separated, much like the Chiefs from their division. Number one. Kansas City, no arguing it.

We talked about it earlier this week. They're not only the best team that can overcome mistakes, play with a lead, play on the road, play from behind, but they're a really smart team. You know, they figure problems out. I always say, what does a team do on third down? What is a team do in the red zone? Andy Reid piles a lot on this team offensively. And they just, Mahomes is just intellectually twitchy and nimble enough.

New player, new scheme, new plays on the road, trailing leading. They're a true champion. If you beat them, you have to knock them out. Because if it goes to later rounds and you don't finish them off, they'll finish you off. If there's only 13 seconds on the clock, they have separated a little from the league. And with that, Nick Wright is now joining us co-host. first things first. They're pretty good.

That's pretty good. This is music to my ears. Yeah. I mean, if only you'd seen that all year before picking Russell Wilson to win that division. I mean, you know, if only you had a friend that could have given you a heads up. By the way, Colin, I don't know if you saw before the year my preseason Super Bowl pick, Cheats Niners. It's looking pretty good according to the old herd hierarchy, my friend.

Let me ask this. I did think their front seven against the Chargers. I thought it was really good. I was like, wow, they're getting a little healthy. Give me one thing that would concern Nick Wright. Is there anything about the Chiefs you're like, Cincinnati comes to? So they have a very young secondary.

I mean, they've got, of their top seven players on the back end, five of them are rookies. Now, they seem to be good rookies, but that is concerning. You mentioned the front seven. Chris Jones is having the best season of any defensive player not named Micah Parsons in the whole league. He's been excellent. And, you know, another rookie, George Karloff, this has been good.

The defense quietly has been rebuilt via that Tyree Kill trade and via some smart moves by Brett Veach in the front office. But here's the only thing. So during that Chargers game, tell me if you think this is crazy. So after the Keenan Allen fumble, the Chiefs get the ball up three. I'm obviously hoping they drive and score a touchdown, go up 10, and put the game away. But what I am most afraid of is not them turning the ball over like they did. What I was most afraid of is that they would drive, take a lot of time, and then kick a field goal to go up six with like three minutes left.

And the reason I say that is as long as Mahomes is going to get the ball at the end of the game, I never feel bad. The only time I'm nervous is if it's like, oh, wait, the other team's down less than a touchdown. and there's so little time left, the Chiefs aren't getting the ball back. Right. Like I, the, we've seen Belichick do this in the past in, you know, extreme situations, but I think the Chiefs should be playing late game situations once it gets inside of three minutes,

if they're up by less than a score. Yeah. Of send the house every time to either get to the opposing quarterback or let them score a touchdown just so Mahomes gets back on the field. If he gets back on the field, I'm never not confident that he's going to find a way to come through. Yeah, because the real weakness for the Chiefs is secondary, and it just so happens in the NFC.

They'd have a clear path, and I would have no doubts. But Burrow and Josh Allen do make me for a second pause because they're both guys that are capable of playing from behind. Now, the Garoppolo thing's fascinating. They wouldn't give him a playbook. They wouldn't give him a playbook. There were multiple stories they were going to trade him. Tray Lance gets hurt and they're like, okay, it's yours.

I can see bitterness. He doesn't appear, like Tua, he doesn't have that genetic makeup. They're not bitter guys. They're team guys. They're good guys. They're great at the podium. And we know he's not great. But they don't pay him what they're going to pay Aaron Rogers.

So everybody bails on him. I'm like, if they pay him $25 million a year and they're not paying him 50, you get better players around him. Do you, if he leads them to a Super Bowl? Do you bail on Garapolo? What do you do? Listen, if he leads them back to the Super Bowl and they lose, if he wins the Super Bowl, then I guess begrudgingly you have to keep him.

But he obviously is the weak link. You're right that he's a good guy, but they are also the only team in the league. They have a first team all pro running back, a first team all pro tight end, a first team all pro wide receiver, a first team all pro left tackle, and their other wide receivers, Brandon Ayuk, who's pretty damn good. And oh, yeah, by the way, they have the best defense in football. If they had a real quarterback, they'd be one of the best teams in modern NFL history. Instead, they have Jimmy Garoppolo, who twice a game is going to throw a pass with his eyes closed,

and you're going to bet on them with your eyes closed, like, Jimmy, please don't run out of the back of the end zone and take a safety. Jimmy, please don't do something terrible. And so, listen, the guys played six career playoff games. He's been good in zero of them. They have every playoff win he has. They have won despite the quarterback play. And I think Shanahan knows it. And here's the other part of it that I feel like we can't gloss over.

You're right, they tried to trade him. Why were they not able to? Because there wasn't a team in the league that said, we're going to make him our starting quarterback. A team decided to trade for Baker Mayfield. Now they were wrong in doing that. Teams decided to trade for Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan. There was not a team in the league that wanted to trade for Jimmy Garoppolo.

Now, the Niners got lucky on that because Trey Lance got hurt. But I am the general sports media being very fickle on Jimmy G. I was here when he ran out the back of the end zone against the Broncos. I was here when the Chiefs beat him by three scores. And everyone said what I've been saying forever, which is you can't win at the highest level with Jimmy G. Now, he puts up a really nice game against a Cardinals team that has quit in all facets. And people like, oh, I mean, three years, $75 million, why would they not do it?

I wouldn't do it. The Niners won't do it. They're too smart. All right, before we get to another take on the World Cup, because I was very optimistic this morning. Most soccer fans aren't. But before we get there, I would not bench Zach Wilson. Because I don't believe Sala or Joe Douglas, their jobs are not in peril. if the season goes sideways.

Great drafting GM. The defense has the footprint, fingerprints of Sala all over it. You got to see if he can play. I think benching him is waving the white flag. And it's like, oh, that's bad for everybody. What do you make of the situation? I didn't like him out of college,

but, you know, I've been wrong a lot too. What do you make of the situation with Zach Wilson and the Jets? No, he's done. He's got to be done, Colin. I would agree with you that, The development of a young quarterback that could be a franchise quarterback

can supersede the importance of trying to sneak into the playoffs as the seven seed. And holistically, I agree with you on that. But he's not the guy. And it never, in college, Colin, you watch more college football than anyone I know. You ever thought he was the guy when he was at BYU? No, no, I didn't. You didn't. Nobody understood that draft.

We all knew Trevor was going number one. And then oddly, the Jets just decided, and there's no debate who's going number two. And remember, everyone was like, the draft starts at three. And now in consecutive years, he's been the worst starting quarterback in the league. It's back-to-back seasons. And I understand it's the Jets and Darnold had a lot of that too. The guy can't play. And he doesn't seem to have, he seems to have the opposite of the Jimmy G.

Well, at least the teammates love him. He seems to have a lack of accountability. And I do think that the Jets are moving on from him after this year. I think that with certain guys, and listen, I've been wrong. I like Josh Rosen a lot coming out of school. I was dead wrong. But you knew it after a year. With him, you know it after a year and a half.

I would try to claw my way into the playoffs. I can't believe I'm saying this in 2022. But with Joe Flacco, I guess, and see if we can get a seven seed to try to have, you know, some good momentum going into next year. And then, by the way, that's probably where Jimmy Groplo plays quarterback next year, Colin. The New York Jets. Yeah. They have a ton of money.

It's the exact type of team that I think would be like, okay, we just need stability at the quarterback position. They're not going to have a good enough draft pick to draft a guy. That's probably where Jimmy G goes. So I said this earlier. No sports fan base in America is quite like the United States men's national team, fan base because they feel ignored and often bullied as soccer fans in America. And so they lack a lot of self-awareness.

It's always the coach's fault and the perspective is out of whack. Argentina lost this morning. Italy didn't make the World Cup. We settled for a draw and didn't have the best player on the pitch. That was Wales best player. I look at it and think perspective. Play hard against England, lose close, beat Iran. I think we get out of the group stage.

Do you this morning, are you optimistic? I'm certainly not pessimistic, but I do feel like that was a gut punch of a missed opportunity. Because with respect to in Group A, what Saudi Arabia proved by beating Argentina, that anyone from any of these groups could advance, Iran is not going to advance. And England almost assuredly is.

So it's going to be us and whales coming down for that second spot. And had we beaten them, it would have been such a smooth ride, you know, a path to the knockout round, which is exactly where we will determine whether or not successful World Cup. Get to the knockout round. See if you can get to the round of eight, the quarterfinals, for just the second time in 70 years. And see if you can get past the quarterfinals for the first time ever in the World Cup. since the first World Cup. By having control of that match

for the entire first half the way we did and then drawing because of kind of a knucklehead penalty that obviously was a penalty, I don't think all is lost, but I do think it was a potentially devastating missed opportunity.

Because if you get the three points against Wales, it's hard to see how you're not getting at least four points, probably five if you can draw against England and maybe, you know, even more if you beat Iran, which you should. And so it's just that part is emotionally devastating for the fans. It is the player's job, of course, to not let that bother them and to have a good showing

against England, see if they can steal one point against England, and then you go beat Iran and you advance no matter what. Look at Nick Wright today. He looks like he's going to a country club, the blue suit. It's very Pinehurst. First of all, it's green. I mean, this is a Gucci tie, yes. but I didn't think you'd notice that on TV.

I thought you were about to say, look at Nick Wright with his amazing international soccer knowledge. People don't know how much I know about the World Cup and about tennis, which we don't talk about. And I used all that knowledge, Colin, to tie into all of my NFL bets for this weekend to add a little bit of juice to it, Argentina on the money line this morning.

So I'm down about four figures, all before the weekend even starts, Colin. Not great, but you know what? We re-rally and we regroup. That's what we do. Nick Wright, great hosts. First things first. Good seeing you, buddy.

The Giants may have a new quarterback next year. The Giants have a bad O line, meaning OBJ can't get down the field. The Giants playing bad weather. The Dallas Cowboys, apparently because he got paid in cryptocurrency,

Udell Beckham lost millions of dollars. Dallas is a, you know, no-tax state. This is an easy one. Dallas has everything OBJ should want. They're like the Rams last year light. They're L.A. light. They've got a veteran quarterback and adult. They had a number one star, Cooper Cup, and C.D. Lamb.

They have a very productive tight end. Dallas now, their offensive line, like the ranc, is given Dax some time to throw. They need juice. They don't need them to be a number one. They don't need them to win games. The Cowboys need juice. I mean, if it's down to the Cowboys and Giants, I don't see any, any scenario in which I would want to play for the Giants' colder weather, younger quarterback.

Giants have a bad old line. They're a Saquan-Barkley injury away from being a horrific offense. I think the Cowboys have everything you'd want. Dallas just needs like an exclamation point to the offense. they don't need a one receiver. They don't need 200 yards. They just need a playmaker about twice a Sunday. So giants are a lot of questions, very few answers offensively.

The Cowboys have a lot of answers, and now because of Pollard's emergence, very few questions. OBJ, this is an easy one. Remember, Jerry last week was already sending out vibes. Remember what he said? No doubt is someone that we have all the appreciation in the world for what he is as a competitor. I know that the Cowboy Star on that Helman, when he puts it on, could look pretty good. They're pitching him. Mike is pitching him.

Everybody's pitching him. This was an easy one. There are a lot of hard decisions. This is an easy one. They're the Rams light last year. They got all the components. Come in, be a playmaker, two or three times. times a game. J-Mac with a news.

No, no, no, no. Turn on the news. This is the herd line news. But the other team in New York could use O'Dell as well. They have quarterback issues, the line issues too. All right, let's start with the 49ers, Colin. 40, sorry, 38 points last night. Season high, defense showed up shutting out Arizona in the second half. Jimmy Garapolo, he was in awe.

One of the most complete performances they've had all season. Beautiful. When you have playmakers like we have, it allows you to do everything. Just what's the defense going to try to take away type of thing? If they try to take away the run, we're going to throw it. They try to take away the middle of the field, we throw it outside. It's just, you know, we've got a lot of playmakers on that offense and it makes my job easy having them around.

The past couple weeks, we've been putting together some good games. Today was probably our best full game that we put together. But, you know, we've got a long way to go. There's some yards we left out there, even some points that we left out there. And so it's a nice thing that guys are still hungry. It's weird. Some of these quarterbacks come to the podium with their pads, like the eye black, right? Jimmy Garoppolo looks like he took a shower, got a shave, pressed his shirt. He comes out there looking like a franchise quarterback, no?

He should be on like an aftershave commercial. That's what he looks like. Every time I see him. You wouldn't let your wife sit next to him at dinner. No. Of course not. Not being in the same room. Next story, New York Jets. Only 103 yards of total offense Sunday against the Patriots.

We should probably stop talking about the Jets at this point. But after the game, the problem is Zach Wilson did not show any accountability. And some of his teammates were apparently rubbed the wrong way, Colin. Sources told S-N-Y that Wilson was walking around like he wasn't the problem. And that attitude allegedly was frustrating a lot of other players. Now, Albert Brewer has since come out and said Justin Fields went before the Chicago team after the Atlanta game was like, this loss was on me, guys, I didn't play well. And the defense was like stopping him like, no, no, no, you were great.

We were the problem. And I think Zach Wilson needs to kind of wake up in the New York locker before he loses everybody. Well, he's a little reckless and a little lacking in self-awareness. Those are really bad traits for NFL quarterbacks. Especially to have in New York. Feel like that in Jacksonville? Well, yeah, I mean, I think it's fair to say in the big cities, especially north-east cities with larger, louder media. Philly, Boston, New York.

GMs and owners listen to talk radio. They read the columns. The Northeast media has more influence than the West Coast media. I would slightly disagree. I think this show has more clout than any radio show in the country. That's obvious. But I think when I used to live out east in Connecticut, you'd hear WFAN and you'd hear them met fans complaining,

and then they'd go out and make a signing in free agency because their fans were complaining. like Jason Bay the outfielder, and you're like, that's not a good fit for this team. I always felt like poorly run New York teams were influenced by media. The well-run teams in New York weren't, but the poorly run teams were. If you work for the Jets and you're listening to WFAN, you're the problem. Not Zach Wilson. All right, finally, Argentina, Colin, one of the biggest upsets in recent World Cup memory,

losing to Saudi Arabia 2 to 1, Argentina took the lead on her early Lionel Messi PK. I don't know if you saw this, but they had three goals that were scored the first half, all ruled off sides. A lot of Argentina fans are really upset with that, questionable officiating, but it looks like they were all legitimate calls. Yeah, yeah, one was very close. Yeah, they went to the replay on it. At any rate, Saudi Arabia, two second half goals for the win. And after the match, Messi said they are not making any excuses, painful loss. Now, Mexico and Poland are in their group. They tied zero-zero.

So currently, Argentina, last place in their group. Okay? I had them winning the whole damn thing. I have some money on them to win the whole thing. It's early. I'll just say that. It's early. Saudi Arabia looks plucky, though, man. A couple of nice goals. It's very exciting.

It is. I mean, listen, four matches every day. And I didn't wake up at two in the morning to watch Argentina. You did? No. But I might on Thanksgiving morning because, you know, we're not doing the show. Yeah. J. Mack with the news.

Well, that's the news. And thanks for stopping by. The Hurd-Lie News. Speaking of Jimmy G, I was thinking about this. So he's a free agent at the end of the year. year. He can go wherever he wants. How many teams, there's absolutely a market for him, how many teams this morning would absolutely be better if Jimmy G. was their quarterback? And I count these 10. Atlanta, New England, Jets, Colts, Washington, Saints, Giants, Panthers, Texan Steelers. Indisputable.

They would be better if Jimmy G's the quarterback. There are four others that may Maybe, but they're not going to go get him. And that would be Chicago, Detroit, Seattle, and the Jags. Is that they've got young quarterbacks or, you know, they've got a plan. But I do think Chicago, Detroit, Seattle, Jags, there's an argument this morning that Jimmy G. with all his big games on the road, playoff games would be better. That's 14 of 32 teams in the NFL that would be better this morning with Jimmy Garoppolo. And remember, that's why he's going to have a market.

This college quarterback class where Caleb Williams at USC looks significantly better than all of them except maybe Bryce Young at Alabama. Bryce Young looks like a plug-and-play guy. You can bring him in. He's small, but he can come in and play. Everybody else, there are a lot more prospects than prodigies. Protégé. I mean, they're not a lot of great in this college quarterback draft class. Bryce Young is special.

He looks like he could plug and play. Everybody else looks like they need work. So Jimmy's a free agent. They were looking to trade him before the surgery. I would totally get it. But I think there is a reason the Niners went and made that Christian McCaffrey move is that they know they have a dilemma on their hands after the season. But it is interesting when you think about it.

Mostly in the NFL, you have six great quarterbacks. We all know who they are. And then everybody's a variation of like pretty good, sort of good, or you wish they were good. I think Jimmy's in the pretty good. I think Dax's in the pretty good. I think Kirk Cousins in the pretty good. I think Tua is in the pretty good. That's not a terrible place to be if you're not paying them big money.

That's why the Niners can go get Christian McCaffrey. So if you don't have one of the six best quarterbacks in the world, the Burroughs and the Mahomes, if you don't have one of those guys, the next level, the Dac, the cousins, the Garoppolo, the Tua are fine as long as they don't demand top in the market money. because you can go make all these trading deadline deals. I would have a really hard time moving off Jimmy Garoppolo. I'd go back and just say, let's just redo. Hey, Tom Brady never took top of the market, and he was winning Super Bowls.

You go to Garopolo and say, we'll keep you around for two more years. But we're not going to pay nearly close to the top of the market. That allows you to get that second great corner. Christian McCaffrey at the trade deadline, a really good center that the other teams like Aaron Rogers, Green Bay, Russell, Wilson, Denver, they can't afford. DAC and Dallas, now they can't afford that. I mean, Dallas right now has to go to OBJ, you know, for a short contract for their second receiver.

They would love to be able to go and get a big-time star. They're paying DAC. They can't. So, I mean, outside of the top six teams, everybody else is in that sort of, he's pretty good, he's kind of good, we wish he was good. As long as those guys aren't top of the market, you win a lot of games in this league. So is there a scenario, Colin, where a team like the Giants or Jets are willing to slightly overpay Jimmy Garapolo, slightly above market, because you know you've got a great defense. You've got young players around them.

Now, the Jets could because the Jets had such a good draft class. They got four starters. You don't have to pay those guys for three years. Right. The Giants, they got some messes on their hand. They got to get some guys off the books. You know, the Jets feel to me they're cleaner. Wide receiver, cheap, Garrett Wilson, Breeze Hall.

the running back. Yes. They have draft picks. Like, they are, I know people don't want to hear it. They're a quarterback away from being a legitimate contender. Well, a playoff team. A playoff team. I don't.

You went from, you went from like the second floor to the penthouse. They were leading the division last week, Colin. They were leading the division. They've taken down Buffalo. They beat Miami's third string quarterback. They just can't get by Belichick. Well, I thought soccer fans lacked perspective. Oh, Colin.

Come on. You don't think the Jets are close. Wow. All right. With Garoppolo, I think they're in that playoff mix. Playoff bubble, not Super Bowl bubble. We don't do a playoff bubble. We have standards. We're not like the Mets where we put a wild card pennant, you know, on our dugout. It's fair. We're the Yankees. You got to, you know, you got to be. We haven't been to the playoffs in the longest streak. 11 years. The longest of the league. 11 years. You can understand my frustration. Detroit laughs at you. Oh, God. Half the teams that make the playoffs won't. Sounds crazy. Half the playoff teams last year will not make it this year. So the way it works for 20 years. The other thing is eight coaches will get fired, seven or eight. And every year, there's one or two obvious ones. And this year, Matt Ruhle, Carolina, already been fired. Frank Reich Indy already been fired.

but if you look at history, five to six more coaches are going to get the ax. So where are we today? Two down, about six to go. So I would say inferno level, that's Nathaniel Hackett. Let's just talk about that for a second. They got him a clock management guy. He gave up play calling duties. We know he doesn't have anything to do with defense.

We're not sure at this point what he does. He's now starting to defend himself, which is assured. sign that he is gone. So I would have made the move already. I would give it to Dom Capers. I would move on. So Nathaniel Hackett will be the third coach to let go.

He'll be let go. Whether he'll be the third after ruling Frank Reich, I don't know. But I think it's time. Then there's the getting really toasty. That's Cliff Kingsbury. It may not be ideal, but they're trapped with Kyler Marie's contract.

The owner likes the GM. Steve Kime. Kingsbury is, you know, this is a guy that got fired by his alma mater in college, did not have a winning record with Patrick Mahomes. And I think his relationship with Kyler Murray, even publicly is a little broken. So you're not going to, you're not going to fire a quarterback. So that one feels like he's probably going to be a rounding air. The owner writes it off and Kingsbury is gone. Then there's, it smells like something's burning. It's getting a little warm. Dennis Allen with the Saints. He bombed his first head coaching job with the Raiders. It's not pretty. They're a mess at quarterback. Lovie Smith is now bickering with local Houston reporters.

That's a bad ownership group. You never know what they're going to do. Brandon Staley is smart, I'm told, and sounds smart, but you can't miss the playoffs with Justin Herbert for back-to-back years when the NFL is now given another, granted another playoff spot to both. conferences. They're just not, they're just not buttoned up. Why isn't their defense better? He's a defensive leaning head coach. Why has their defense been bad back-to-back years? He's not getting his side of the ball right. And then two guys that were on the hot seat, but I think for the time being our off at, Ron Rivera with Taylor Heineke, probably bought himself some time. Let's see how the season ends. And Dan Campbell's won three straight,

I think two on the road where he was old in 11, and now they're a little healthy. I think Dan's bought himself some time. So that's kind of where we stand today. So Hackett would be a third. Kingsbury would be a fourth. My guess is two of the three smells something burning would make it six. And then you kind of wait for it. Remember, these are impulsive billionaires that they react to what they read.

They react to what they see. I mean, you go on a three game losing streak at the end. then Dan Campbell could be gone. So, you know, you got about six elite GMs in this league, about six elite quarterbacks, about six elite owners. I will say the guy that, you know, it's funny. We viewed Mike McCarthy a certain way. But two factors now have done him well.

One, the erosion of Aaron Rogers' offense. Now you kind of look at that and go, oh, maybe it wasn't all Mike McCarthy, right? That's helped him out. And the second thing is the offensive line, the Cowboys have addressed it and drafted for it the last couple years. A couple of those guys are starting to play pretty well. Dax got time. The emergence of Tony Pollard. So, you know, Dallas has drafted.

You know, they took C.D. Lamb. And a lot of us, myself included, said, what did you do? He's been a hit. Tony Pollard's been a hit. A couple of those young old linemen have worked. They've been a hit. Michael Parsons been a hit. So the Cowboys, as goofy as they can be, Stephen Jones, they've done some nice work in the draft.

A lot of guys have hit. Trayvon Diggs, Michael Parsons, some of the old linemen, C.D. Lamb and the erosion of Aaron Rogers. We look today at Mike McCarthy. Now, we may not put him in that elite group, but like a Jimmy Garapolo as a quarterback, you'd think he could win a playoff game or two. He's got a very spotty owner. He made the playoffs three years ago. No playoffs last year, and they're three and seven.

Kevin Stefanski, Cleveland Browns, is the seat warm at all? I know Deshawn Watson hasn't played this year, but they have underachieve big time. I remember they made the playoffs 11 and 5. Last year, 8 and 9, Baker Mayfield. We know the owner's history in Cleveland, and now they're 3 and 7.

3 and 7 is below what we thought. They were supposed to be like a 500 team we're best. better? Well, they have Jacoby Brissette. Okay. It's a backup. Let's say Deshaun Watson comes back and they don't clean it up and they finish five wins. Kevin Stefanski in any trouble at all. I don't see it. Listen, that's the classic. The organization has such a bad reputation among scouts, GMs, and coaches that you're just better served to give them an extension and just you're sending, sometimes you're

sending a message as an owner to the industry. We're not crazy here. We're not nuts here. Houston looks nuts. So Houston never gets. Sean Payton's on the market. He would not interview at Houston. Yeah.

And by the way, people already think you're crazy on the Deshawn Watson deal. So fans say this all the time. Do you want somebody as good as Sean Payton, who's about as good a coach as you're ever going to get in the sidelines? He would not interview in Houston. He would not interview in Cleveland. Wouldn't even interview. That's why you give Stefansky some more tarmac.

You give him more runway. You let him figure it out. But the fans are like, they just don't, fans can never see around corners. They just see in the moment, the heat, the, the emotion. Stefansky, this organization is like a no-fly zone for the best coaching, scouting executives in the league. Give Stephansky some more runway. three, live in LA, it's the heard.
