This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel
and friends on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career
in sports media.
Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not only

On the Look Back at it podcast.
From 1979, that was a big moment for me.
84 is big to me.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick a year, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it.
With our friends, fellow comedians, and favorite authors.
Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s.
84 was a wild.
It was a wild year.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

for us personally because we're here today.
And tomorrow, Nashville,
doing our own show, Kavino and Rich,
from Nashville.
So please join us.
Yeah, we're going to be at the Graduate Hotel, Nashville, Tennessee,

Kvino will buy you some wings or something.
In front of a live audience.
What are you, three's company?
Yeah, it's going to be fun.
Filmed in front of a live studio audience.
Can we bring extra laugh track just in case?
I need that for my confidence.
Well, hey, tomorrow, Nashville, pleasure to be in for the herd.
Now, coming up, I do want to talk about Jake Paul, Mike Tyson, because there are some updates, and I don't want to crush...
I can beat him so eff and easy.
So effing easy.
That is what Mike Tyson said.
So effingy.
It's not even like Jake Paul, the YouTube, he's this little boy.
So updates on Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.
We'll talk some NFL.
But we left off.
Talking about the times you got duped in the world of social media and sports,
because there's a video of David Beckham.
It's gone viral again where he's on the beach and there's three trash cans, three garbage cans, 50 yards away.
They're way out there.
And he kicks three soccer balls.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
Nails him. And people are like, no way, that's fake.
Now, David Beckham has come out and said, no, it's real.
the beach for six hours? Yes, yeah. A reporter asked him, hey, that video, that viral video from
back of the deck. Real or not? And he had a simple answer. Of course. Of course it was real.
He said he spent five or six hours on the beach, so he had a lot of time to practice.
It's like those trick shot videos you see on social media. I assume a lot of them are real.
Some of them probably fake and green screen, but some of the people that take pride in these things,
we see the outcome, but they spent all day, maybe, maybe, you know, days at a time just to make that shot to get that video for the clicks.
It's like when Kobe jumped over the sports car.
Dude, Ryan brought that up this morning.
He said he got duped back in the day.
I was duped so hard.
When I saw that video, I was like, this is the coolest thing I've ever seen in the history of the world.
And then my other brother was like, you're kidding me, right?
And I was like, oh, man.
Dude, my mom gets duped all the time.
Remember that video is like a Japanese baseball where some guy climbs the wall like Spider-Man?
It might even have been a woman.
My mom's like, Richie, did you see that?
I'm like, oh, Mom.
Your mom, I mean, that's just parents in general.
This is a whole like conversation in itself because I remember back in the day when when Photoshop's became easy for everybody to make.
Someone photoshopped Rich's head on like the body of someone in dominatrix.
Yeah, yeah.
Like whips and chains and leather and like nipple.
clamps and someone posted it on
like our Facebook page or the back of the day
and my mom said
Richie, I can't believe you're into that
stuff. Meanwhile
I was like an oversized head.
She thought that was real. So can you imagine
what parents and grandparents are
going to think about all these
deep fakes and AI things
come election time too?
Stephen, did you hear what
Donald Trump? Like mom, that was fake.
It was fake. And you know in their
defense it is hard to decipher. Hard
than ever now. And Rich, you brought up that baseball one that your mom's Dubai. I can't tell you,
till this day, Deontay Wilder style, till this day, people still send me that Evan Longoria one.
Where he saved a reporter's life. Exactly, dude. And it's a great one, but I believe it was
for an ad or something like that where, you know, there's a line drive going toward a reporter.
She's interviewing Evan Longoria. He turns around and he snags the ball barehanded. People
like, yo, man, have you seen this? I'm like, yeah, I saw it years ago.
and it's fake, dude.
So the times you were duped, or let's chop it up, was it real, was it fake?
There was one I mentioned before the break.
If you remember a couple years back, Tom Brady, during the off season, through a football, maybe 20, 30 yards,
and it went into a pitching machine that was shooting out footballs, and he like almost clogged it,
where it went perfectly in and then right back out.
And I'm thinking to myself, man, Brady's got accuracy.
You know, it's another one that I always.
Get sent.
I'm a big fight fan too, so I think this is one I get often.
Yo, Kavino, have you ever seen this one?
And it's some dude who's, like, doing these flips in an octagon.
But it looks like he's in some underground fight club, and all these people are cheering.
And he's doing these crazy flips.
Like, he's some crazy fighter.
And he gets this, like, nasty knockout.
Have you ever seen this or no?
It's like from a, from like a D-level movie or video game or something.
I know which one you're talking about?
I didn't know it was fake.
Yeah, I'm like, dude, that's funny.
make.
A lot of these are fake, or are they real?
Because the David Beckham one, he's saying, of course, it's real,
when a lot of people speculated for years that it was fake.
Now, I've been duped.
We've all been duped.
I'll share one where I was completely duped.
I think I'm duped every week because I'm like,
yo, this alien video is real.
I'm telling you, this one's real.
Dude, it wasn't an alien.
It was cake.
No, it's real, man.
Camino gets duped on Is It Cake every time on that place?
You see those little Mexican aliens, those Peruvian ones?
It's a little a little...
It's real.
You know what?
One of the best dupes.
And I know, Kavino, you remember our buddy's spot
who was producing our series XM show at the time
who's here doing our videos.
We remember CNN getting duped.
That was so embarrassing.
I don't know.
Looking back so...
It's like they swept this under the rugs.
It's so embarrassing.
Yeah.
And again, who cares if it was CNN or Fox?
It doesn't matter.
My point is, CNN got embarrassed
and never spoke of it again.
And a lot of people never saw what I'm about to say
because it was on the middle of a day
when we were on the radio and the TV was on in the background.
But if you were at work, you probably missed it.
This had to be a decade ago, easy.
Easy, but Anderson Cooper was like on site.
Yeah, he was on site, I remember.
And you got to put it in our perspective, like Rich said.
We're on the air and they're doing this live.
So like, all right, let's pot this up and see what happens.
This is like a big deal.
We were invested.
They said they had big friends.
foot.
They had an ice chest.
You know, like, what you have in your garage, like, you know, in your little man cave,
like the freezer that you lift up, like you keep like your kids ice cream in there and stuff.
It was like a lift up freezer and like, we got Bigfoot.
You think Dan Patrick has Bigfoot and his freezer in the Man Cave?
He might.
One of the Danettes, you know, definitely has big.
So they opened this freezer and they realize it's not Bigfoot.
It's a rubber suit.
It was a Bigfoot costume.
Can you imagine, though?
CNN.
They cut to this and then immediately stop talking about it.
A big deal.
Only to find out it was fake.
You know, I haven't been that let down since balloon boy.
I was a, dude, look what I wrote down.
We're sharing the same dumb brain.
But guess what?
You were duped by that.
I was.
Yo, again, we were on the air live.
Again, serious sex in back of the day, right?
So we're doing our show and they cut to like, oh, there's a balloon flying through the air.
There's a little boy on it.
And a little boy named Falcon, remember that?
Yo, I swear to God, I'm looking at this thing.
I'm like, this is stupid.
And I'm more mad at, like, what kind of parrot lets their kid?
I'm just, like, mad about it, right?
Rich, no.
He's in tears almost.
No, no.
They're the little boy.
Spot and Kavino.
Danny, Spot and Kavino were like, this is no joking matter.
Yeah, they were all like, this is hilarious.
A boy that balloon.
I'm like, guys, have some compassion.
Guys, Rich is trying to make us feel bad.
Like, he was so duped, only to find out that it was a big scammeroo.
And do you remember how we, was in the attic the whole time.
Parents knew about it.
We found out that if you don't know the story, think back.
Use your noggin.
Balloon Boy.
There was a weather balloon that took off and they thought there was a little boy in it.
Can someone make a T-shirt for Rich?
I believe in Balloon Boy.
Because you were so into that story.
But I remember being like, guys, I hope he's okay.
Have some empathy.
A week later, when they realized, oh, he wasn't.
First of all, it was, he's not in the balloon.
Oh, thank God.
And then they're like, wait, did they do this for publicity?
No, remember the kid threw.
up. They went on like the Today Show
and they're like, hey little falcon
were you scared at any point
and you can tell the kids
Blah Blah
Like he was so nervous because his parents were
terrible putting him
On the spotlight like this
Forcing him to lie about being in some stupid balloon
That kid's probably so old now
It's probably gonna be on the next season of Love is Blonde
I'm kidding me that kid probably gets so much tail
You know he's Balloon Boy
You think he's at a party like yo remember
Balloon Boy asked him
Women today are like oh my God
You think Balloon Boy gets booty at college?
I bet you wherever he lives, he's like the famous kid.
What's up, Ryan?
I got the ultimate duped.
Maybe in sports history,
everyone with the Manti Teow story.
Oh, man.
You want to talk about major...
The major networks getting duped.
That was wild when that was unfolding.
Ryan, when you watch the documentary on that,
you realize how little diligence
anyone in the reporting news sports world did.
The untold documentary.
The untold doc is great.
Yeah, it was great.
Like, the fact that, and Manteo must have had the most nervous stomach.
As he points out in the documentary Untold, there was a point around draft night, around Heisman night, right?
Around that time, where he knew it's just a matter of time until someone figures this out.
It's like, not to use a terrible analogy, but, like, you know when you get caught doing something bad with your wife or girlfriend,
and you're like, oh, it's going to find out.
I don't know when she'll find out, but she's going to.
find out. Everybody was duped by that.
That's probably the number one answer.
Survey says. Number one.
Because the world was duped.
Danny G. There's a great one from
Los Angeles that went worldwide.
Remember when the KTV
U News reporter? I think that's Channel 2
in L.A.
Got pranked by the Flight
214 pilot names.
Oh, man. Those like
terribly politically, politically incorrect Asian names?
It was terrible.
The worst. Like FCC
Fineworthy.
The worst.
I'll give a shout out to one of my buddies in Connecticut.
It's very wrong.
It was wrong what he did, but I thought it was hilarious.
Ken Kinnif?
My buddy, Chris, who lives in Connecticut, got three boys.
He's super little league coached dad these days.
Okay.
He's always the guy that would do pranks.
He was like, you know, you always have those buddies that are always busting chops and doing pranks.
He filmed his living room.
Do you remember maybe a couple of years ago?
There was a slight earthquake in the New York area?
And it never happens.
Like, you remember the building shaking, I'm so ADD that I'm like, oh, I don't feel anything.
Oh, that one in New York where the patio chair fell down.
Never forget.
Never forget.
I remember that.
It was like just a mild earthquake, but the news were like, wow, a random earthquake in the tri-state area.
My buddy Chris went in his kitchen and his dining room, swung his chandelier, took out his phone, and he's like, whoa, it's happening.
He told all the kids to react.
And he told his kids to run around frantically.
He sent it to the local Fox News Station in Connecticut
and they ran it.
They ran it.
Here's footage from Chris in Wallingford, Connecticut.
This earthquake really happened.
It was like a 0.1 on the Andy Richter scale.
It's named after Andy Richter.
Yeah.
I got a few more.
Again, the times you were duped.
If you just joined us,
were Kavino and Rich, in for Colin on the herd.
I got one for you.
David Beckham said that his viral clip of him kicking those soccer balls
50 yards away into garbage cans on the beach.
You know, three in a row, by the way.
And it looks fake because it looks so impossible to do,
especially if you don't play soccer.
He said, of course, it was real,
but it took him like five or six hours to do.
A few to come to mind, well, look, Rich is easily duped.
When Bobby Valentine came out of the dugout
with the fake mustache, Rich was duped by that.
I thought that was a different man.
Yeah.
But for me, I'll never forget this.
And this is what's embarrassing is you say these things on radio for us,
or just in mixed company for the average fella,
when you say these things out loud,
that's when you realize,
or maybe it was fake.
Because I remember being so pumped about one story,
and the way people were looking at me when I was saying it,
I immediately realized, like, I think I was duped.
So you always have to preface, like,
well, I'm not sure if it was real, but did you see this?
The one Kavino's about to say has stuck with him for at least a decade.
Oh, yeah.
Because he came in.
to work.
We did our little show prep meeting.
It was so well done.
Guys, I got a story that's going to blow your mind.
There was a story.
You guys may have seen it.
And it's still out there on the internet somewhere, but some dude developed these shoes
or whatever, right?
And he was able to run across water and a new thing called liquid mountaineering.
Right?
Yeah, but you can only get so far, but if you have these shoes on those fingertips,
sort of water repellent shoes, he was able to get like halfway through the lake.
Camino was convinced this guy could run on water.
He's like, Jesus, look at this guy.
This is amazing.
And honestly, I believed it.
So much that I brought it up on the air.
But the minute I said it, I'm like, oh, man, I was duped.
I was duped.
You know, there's people with such a skill set that it's hard to know if you're being duped or not.
The example I'm thinking of is just within the last year, like Steph Curry videos where there were like multiple full court shots in a row.
Five full court shots in a row.
Did he say I could do it, but it was altered for the video or whatever?
And then the one we kind of debated most recently, Yamamoto, the new Dodger,
throwing that snowball, which looks like it's going 120 miles per hour.
Dude, the thing is, you just don't know.
He was like Will Ferrell and elf.
Yeah.
With the snowballs.
You don't know.
You don't know.
People could do these things and alter these videos from their phone and make it believable.
So how are you supposed to know nowadays?
Sometimes the story is just ridiculous, though, and we fall for it.
Well, hey, you want to share yours.
Hey, share the videos.
At Covino-Ritch on Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook.
TikTok, well, it's still around.
While it's still here, yeah.
I saw something saying, imagine if influencers had to get, I don't know, jobs like we had.
Like Wendy's?
At Benegans.
So, hey, your videos, you could share them again at Covino-N-Ritch in for Colin on the herd.
Now, coming up, we are going to talk some Jake Paul, Mike.
Tyson. Now, I don't want to break the hearts
of everyone 40-year-older,
but I have a fear on this fight that
and it hurts my heart to say.
We'll get to that coming up.
Jake Paul, Mike Tyson, and there's some new updates
as far as the rules and possible
rumors.
Rumors of the rules. But people are
speculating on what the rules are going to be.
Something apparently leaked, but
much like our previous conversation, don't know if it's real
or not. Could be duped. Right. We'll get to that.
And, of course, a hypothetical about
Aaron Rogers
the Jets and the Oval Office.
We'll get to all that.
Coming up right here, Fox Sports Radio,
Kavino and Rich, in for Colin, on The Herd.
One more Herd?
The Herd streams 24 hours a day,
seven days a week, within the IHeart Radio app.
Search Herd to listen live or on demand whenever you'd like.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
Listen to Superhuman on the I-Hard radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care which I'm saying.
Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from Bathurst.
basketball to college football or my career in sports media.
Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.
And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes,
creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment,
and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music.
The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast.
It's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told,

Look at that.
Look at that. Let's go, boys. Love the fill-in.
That's from Casey.
And a lot of great feedback at Covino-Ritch.
Now, I wanted to turn our attention for a second here on the herd.
To Jake Paul, Mike Tyson.
I hate to admit how excited I am about this.
Because I really am.
Call me a sucker for watching these dumb Jake Paul.
fights, but hey, if you're a kid of the 80s and 90s, Mike Tyson, one of the most
famous dudes of our lifetime. Can I throw it back on a Thursday?
When you were a kid, was there nothing more huge than a fight night when Tyson was the headliner?
King Hippo was pretty huge. Don Flamenco is your favorite.
He was great, yeah. But the rose in his mouth.
I just want to throw this out there, man. 007373-9663. That was the code. We grew up playing Tyson's
punch out, invincible iron mic, kid dynamite, youngest heavyweight champion of the world,
a vicious, unbeatable Mike Tyson.
So that's the image we have.
We grew up in the time of the three Michaels.
Mike Tyson, Mike Tyson, Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson.
So in our mind, yo, of course I'm tuning in because that brings back your childhood memories,
brings you back to those pay-per-view events.
You'd be hanging out at your buddy's house or your family would come over.
You'd be ordering pizza.
You'd make a whole night of this Mike Tyson fight,
and we're getting this opportunity again, only to be let down.
I'm serious.
All of our childhoods are going to be crushed when he's knocked on his ass,
and he's looking for his mouthpiece again like he did in Tokyo.
So when he fought, Pastor Douglas.
I really, because he's 58.
I really enjoy what Mike Tyson brings to the table.
In fact, last time we saw Iron Mike, we were in Las Vegas.
We were doing our Fox Sports radio show from the Blue Wire Studio at the Wynn,
and they're like, hey guys, can you be okay with like a 10-minute delay?
Mike Tyson's wrapping up.
He comes out of the studio, hey, guys.
Hey, guys, good to see.
Hey, Kavino and Rich, hey.
Love you, guys.
He handed me two bags of his edible ears.
True story.
Let me tell you, they knocked me on my ass.
That's why Rich falls asleep looking at his phone and then drops it on his face.
I'm on my Tyson Edibles.
But Mike's always been great to us.
One of my favorite items in my office is my Mike Tyson autographed boxing glove.
Listen, if I think we made the point.
He's an icon of our childhood.
I like Mike Tyson.
One of the most intriguing men in our lifetime.
Not only in sports.
But now that you've had a week to think about it, I do think everyone roughly 40-year-older is living in a delusional bubble.
Are you calling out most of the herd?
I'm calling out me, you, Ryan.
Yeah, to make it clear.
Too E, Danny G. Spot.
That would include us.
If you're roughly 40 or older, mid-30s or older,
I'm assuming you look at Mike Tyson as a beast.
Even the fun stuff he did with the hangover, hangover to his cartoons, the weed stuff.
He's an intriguing dude.
One-man show.
I love the stories from his documentaries and all the...
any documentary or story about Mike Tyson, I'm all ears.
Pun intended.
Evander Holyfield.
Yeah.
And I think we're all going to be really sad when Jake Paul, who's 27.
And strong.
30 years younger.
And he's consistently been boxing.
It's about consistency, man.
It's about getting your reps in.
Mike Tyson's a legend, but he's an old legend who's Rusty.
I'm sorry.
He's like Rusty Griswold.
Listen, I hate to break the hearts of the herd and all the fans out there.
I don't think there's a bigger fan out there than me.
I'm a huge Mike Tyson fan.
I'm also a huge fight fan.
And I'm also realistic about it.
On our show every afternoon when we're not feeling for Colin,
we do a lot of, we do Mike Tyson trivia every couple weeks.
We enjoy Iron Mike.
He's a fun dude.
Love him.
So again, that's where we're coming from.
So let's be clear on that.
But when Rich says anyone in their 40s, roughly in their 40s,
who grew up with Mike Tyson and thinks he's going to win,
delusional. We'll explain. Everybody has a puncher's chance. We know that. In fact, here's the update.
Now that you had time to think about it. The update, as of this week, I saw some reporters talking to Chuck Liddell,
UFC legend. And he said, hey, Chuck, what do you think about it? Iceman, what do you think?
And he said, well, the last thing to go is power. Take a listen.
Tyson hits him and it's over. Last thing to go is power. He hits him and told him. Mike still hits.
I get it.
The last thing to go is power.
And I think what we could all dream for.
But you know what goes?
First?
Your speed.
So there's a video that's like...
You got to catch him.
There's like a video that's like...
Power don't matter if you can't hit him.
There's a video that's like roughly two years old where it looks like Tyson has fast hands and he's still Mike Tyson.
We're living...
What did Mike Tyson infamously say?
Everybody had the plan until they get punched in the faith.
Yeah.
his plan looks good when he's hitting the pads,
but what about when a young Jake Paul's hitting him in the face?
People have this belief
that Jake Paul
is still this YouTube kid
doing his Disney dance moves on social media.
Have he said the memes where he looks like Glesh Joe?
Yeah, and I get it. That's all fun.
But he's really, in reality,
been boxing now consistently
with the best of the best, meaning trainers.
I'm not saying he's boxing the best
in the ring, but he has the best trainers
that money could buy.
he's training constantly consistently and he's young and he's strong and he's hungry.
He doesn't want to be embarrassed either.
So let's make this also very clear.
If this is a legitimate fight, the only chance that Mike Tyson has is if he gets him early.
It's got to be in the first two rounds.
It has to be Mike Tyson comes out there and he catches.
And he puts all his guth dough into the first two rounds.
You know Tyson he fights low and quick.
Like, all it takes
one punch.
But if that one punch doesn't happen
in the first two rounds, I think we're
all going to be really sad. I think it's going to be
like a sad emotional night for, like I said,
most men and women, 35, 40-year-old are where
you grew up and you're like, Iron Mike Tyson.
We argue that in his prime, he probably could have beat
Ali or anyone. There was a moment in time where no one on
planet earth could have ever beat Mike Tyson.
Invincible. Invincible. He really was.
And you're going to see him lose to some
unlikable influencer
who's then going to go on a little speech about like,
yeah, believe in yourself kids and you know.
Meanwhile, Tyson's,
Logan Paul is going to be there with him.
Like, yeah, bro.
He's going to be 58 years old, July 20th on Netflix.
And here's the other update or rumor.
And I want to know your thoughts on this,
because this ruins it for me.
There's a leak of the rules, right?
But we don't know if it's real or not.
At least I don't, as of now.
I'm crossing my fingers that this is BS.
Right.
And it says something about 18.
ounce gloves, which means the big fat
ones. The big fat, puffy gloves, right?
And headgear, which to
me, that takes me out of the game.
That's like, um, it's like
prophylactics for Rich Davis.
Yeah, he's not interested.
You know, like, no thanks.
Like headgear, like protective headgear at a fight is
like boring. I don't like it.
Yeah. I mean, do want to watch a fight, Danny, where
they're wearing headgear? Like a, like,
essentially a glorified sparring
session. Oh, like my cousin had on the bus?
Yeah. I know. Yeah. I mean. I don't know. Yeah. I
Yes, but yeah, like, you know, boxing headgear.
If they're wearing headgear, honestly, that just, like, ruins the fun.
It just does.
So, Jake Paul, Tyson, any of your thoughts at Covino and Rich, at Steve Covino, at Rich Davis, in for the herd.
Now, you don't want the big gloves.
You certainly don't want the head gear.
Now, I see a lot of people saying, like, well, F that, I'm not buying it.
You're not buying it.
It's going to be on Netflix, which you could argue.
Don't let Hulu fool you.
I would imagine
other than maybe a Chappelle special
or the new season of Love is Blind
What could, is this going to be?
You're absurd.
This is going to break all records.
The number one?
This is going to be the most, because it transcends generations.
It's every fight fan, you know, just out of intrigue.
It's everybody that grew up watching Mike Tyson.
So it's like your mom's going to be tuning in, the casual fans.
I mean, even your parents have Netflix.
young people. There's so much intrigue here. Could the old guy get that last to Ra against his young dude?
I'm not saying, listen, I'm not saying I like it best.
Because to me, I think like Apple TV and Amazon and, you know, even like Paramount, certain, there's other streaming services that I think now compete with Netflix.
But I don't know anyone that doesn't have Netflix.
It was like in first. We all have Netflix. Your parents, your grandparents might have Netflix.
Or at least somebody's password. Do you think that this is the number one viewed event in Netflix history?
because it's free essentially?
Oh, yeah, 100%.
I think so.
Yeah.
Like, even the people are like,
I'm not paying for Jake Paul.
Well, guess what?
You're not.
You have Netflix.
I'm trying to think of something
that Netflix has had
that has like this much hype going into it.
They've had like popular shows
and then people are like,
oh, I can't wait for the next season of this to come out.
But a singular event of something
that's coming to be released.
Man, like the new stranger things or something.
I mean, Rich, they did do a love is blind reunion,
live feed. Do you remember that?
And it crashed. And it crashed. Yeah, people
do get as silly as that sounds. People get
hyped about that. The Chris Rock live
special because it was live and it was an event
and people wanted to know what he said about Will Smith.
You know, this is going to trump
all of those things for sure.
It's going to be a star-stop event. Which will Trump
be there? Yeah, he'll definitely be there.
The stars are going to come out. Remember, Mike Tyson
brought out the stars. They're all going to be
there ringside. It's going to be
a hot ticket. We're going to try to get our
RS is there doing a show or something.
Let me say this.
Odds-wise, if you're a gambling man or woman,
if you believe that Tyson has that puncher's chance
and you want to live the 80s and 90s all over again,
and you really feel deep down in your belly,
and your dad-bod gut, that there's a chance Mike Tyson can pull this off.
He's plus 300, meaning you bet 100, you win 300.
Jake Paul is actually a minus 360 favorite.
So significant favorite.
So I think if you're an old head, like I said,
when Tyson was in his 30s and he lost his last few fights.
Dude, I have him right here in front of me.
You want to tell you?
What did he say?
Do you remember what he said, though?
I don't know.
I just don't have the fighting guy.
I'm just not that man.
I'm just doing it for the money.
He lost that fire inside.
You're going to tell me at 58 fighting Jake Paul, he's got it.
And look, I'm excited about it.
I don't believe in fixes.
I don't believe in that sort of rigged sort of thing,
but boxing is corrupt.
and who knows what Jake Paul promised this dude
if they all played along and played nice
I don't believe that
I don't want to think that I was chopping it up at the barbershop
yesterday you know how barbershop talk is right
and I'm there and I'm talking boxing
and I'm like hey guys
we can't let the side show become the main event
there's some big fights coming up
you got Canello and Mungia
we're going to be at to keep them in fight later this month
Ryan Garcia
Devin Haney on April 20th
I love the fight game yeah in fact I credit you
for getting me more interested
but I'm excited about that Canelo Mungia fight.
Yeah, it's going to be great.
But if you think that's May 4th.
That might get 1,000th of the viewership of Tyson-Jane.
That's also the shame of it because like I'm saying, there's fights that matter.
But when you say can't let the side show become the main event?
You can't.
Because like, unless it's a 58-year-old guy fighting a 27-year-old, you know, barely a boxer.
Come on.
To your point about you can't let the side show become the main event, almost every year,
the peak of Super Bowl viewing is the halftime show.
Dude, I know, but that's the proud
Usher, most viewed of all time now.
With idiots in America.
Come on, guys, there's some real legitimate fights,
and I'm tuning into Tyson, too, but
at the barbershop... People like heavyweight, too,
and I'll tell you what, the fight that you
bring up Mungia Canella. Canella's a big name.
Canella's the face of boxing, dude. Not just
the big name. Tyson Fury,
Usick, is the fight that I think...
It's a big fight. That's the fight. That's in May, I believe,
and if Fury wins that fight,
we'll finally get that Anthony Joshua
fight. Look, I get it. There's a lot of
fights out there, but this is the one that everybody cares about.
So I'm at the barbershop talking about this.
And dude, immediately, you know what the sentiment for so many people is?
Bro, it's BS. This is all fixed.
I don't like that.
I hate it, too, but that's what people think.
Look, I don't believe that.
I think you'll be able to tell if they're holding punches, right?
Like, Mike Tyson, have you, if you don't think, people think now that it's much like the WWE,
an orchestrated, planned out thing.
I don't think Mike Tyson's down with that.
I don't think so either, but I'm just telling you what people are thinking.
You know, two quick things, and we've got to get to the herd line news.
Let me just say this real quick.
Tyson's last two fights, 20 years ago, his last two official fights,
he lost to Kevin McBride and Danny Williams.
Who?
Exactly.
So if he lost his last two fights to no names, I really hope he could pull off a miracle here
and beat Jake Paul, which sounds ridiculous.
But I think we're all rooting for Mike Tyson.
and hey, let's hope there's no headgear.
All right.
Headline news.
Heardline news. Let's go.
No, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the Heardline News.
All right, no headgear here.
We get to the hard-hitting stuff.
Let's go.
Well, a quick story to start off Heardline News here is the Falcons are officially done with Desmond
Ritter as their quarterback.
Obviously, we knew that when they went to sign Kirk Cousins.
Grand opening, Gregor.
Yeah, and now they've traded him.
to the Arizona Cardinals.
All right, here we go.
Next story in the NFL,
Baker Mayfield.
Bounceback season,
leading the Buccaneers to the playoffs
and a dominant win
over the Eagles in the wildcard round
that earned him a new deal
to stay in Tampa Bay.
Here is their GM,
Jason Light,
talking about the decision
to re-sign Baker
and what he brings to the team.
He set the tone for this team
with his,
well, for lack of better word,
he's probably one out of ten.
He's a 10 on the...
scale. So, sorry, Nelson.
Thank you. I'll take that.
That's what you want, your offensive lineman.
Baker's kind of an offensive lineman in a quarterback's body.
It's what's rallied this team this year.
Who's a big part of it.
Listen, I get it. Baker has that vibe.
For sure.
I know we can't say that word, I guess, on Fox Sports Radio, but if you're a, you know,
if you're sort of a jerk.
But in a positive way where you motivate people and you have,
there's that thin line between arrogance and confidence.
and I think Baker found the way to tow that line properly.
Early in his career, not so much.
Yeah, 100%.
He's prioritized his career, and he's become way more likable, way more dedicated to the team.
And I've heard Colin talk about it, Ryan, I think he earned this contract, and it's the right money.
He's not 40, 50 mil, he's not 10 mil.
Three years, 100 mil.
Seems like the right, a good deal for everyone.
100%.
And that's exactly what Colin has said.
him and Baker have patched up their past differences.
And as we've pointed out on the show,
Colin actually becoming a big fan of Baker these days.
So no, 100%.
Turns his hat around and everything's good.
We'll wrap it up with this.
It might have been one of the most surprising moves
of the free agency period thus far.
Titans signing wide receiver Calvin Ridley.
Four years, $92 million.
Ridley, solid player, productive,
had to serve a year-long suspension for gambling in 2022,
rebounded with about 1,000 yards,
and eight touchdowns.
for the Jaguars.
Now here's the interesting thing.
The Titans traded A.J. Brown
after failing to sign him to an extension two seasons ago,
where he ended up going with the Eagles for four years, $100 million.
So just barely more than what they've given to Calvin Ridley,
here's the difference.
A.J. Brown obviously completely turned around the Eagles offense,
helping the development of Jalen Hertz.
And he's had just under 3,000 yards and 18 touchdowns
and a two-time all pro in Philly.
Maybe a regrettable.
choice there in Tennessee.
Yeah, sometimes. Sometimes, you know,
hindsight's 20-20 with these decisions, right?
Thank you, Ryan.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Hurd-Ly News.
Well, coming up,
Pierre and Kavino-Rich, in for Colin,
isn't Aaron Rogers hypothetical
that you might think sounds
crazy when I say?
But it has to do with the Oval Office
and the New York Jets.
Well, keep your choney's on. Or take them off,
because Thursday's the new Friday.
Let's get this weekend started because when 50 hits, we go old school.
Old school and 50 hits on the clock and start thinking about this.
The stuff used to do when the parents were away.
Don't it back on a Thursday.
So you're saying when your parents left the house, what did you do as a kid?
When the cats away as your parents are saying.
Do you want me to say this on the radio?
Yeah, why yes.
We'll get to that all next.
Kavino and Rich in for Colin on the herd.
It's Fox Sports Radio.
Be sure to catch live editions of the herd.
weekdays in noon Eastern 9 a.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio, FS1, and the IHeart Radio app.
Hey, what's up everybody? It's me, three-time Pro Bowl of LeVar Arrington, and I couldn't be more excited
to announce a podcast called Up on Game. What is Up on Game, you ask? Along with my fellow Pro Bowler,
T.J. Hushman Zada, and Super Bowl champion. Yep, that's right. Plexico Burris. You can only
name a show with that type of talent on it. Up on Game. We're going to be a show. We're going to
sharing our real life experiences loaded with teachable moments.
Listen to Up On Game with me, LaVar Arington, T.J. Hushmanzada, and Plexico Burris on the
IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast from.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast.
Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes
for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
Listen to Superhuman on the I-Hard Radio app,

A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care which I'm saying.
Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th.

this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.

so we're celebrating May the 4th with a brand new week of fun
thought-provoking Star Wars-related episodes.
Join us as we tackle science and culture topics from a galaxy far, far away,

Oh, yeah.
In for the herd.
Oh, yeah, VIP in full effect.
Word to your mother.
word to the herd.
C&R, Covino and Rich.
This is the show, in for Colin
on the herd. Always a pleasure.
And remember tomorrow,
I'm going to keep bothering people.
Tomorrow live.
I just hope people show up.
That's why.
Nashville, Tennessee.
It's like, you know, throwing a birthday party
and hoping your friends come.
We're going to be live in Nashville tomorrow.
So join us.
Happy hour, guys. Anyone here?
Hey, four to six at the Graduate Hotel in Nashville.
So I hope to see you there.
And if you can't make it or you know where around that,
again, be sure to two.
tune in. We're on 4 to 6 Central, 2 to 4 on the West.
You know, I enjoy filling in for Colin.
Ryan's a good dude. I like to eat. Next time
we fill in for Colin on the herd. I think we've got to wear some sweet, crisp,
light blue button downs and really get into the Colin vibe.
Oh, yeah. That's me, yeah.
You know, some like nice, but they're probably like $100 button down, maybe $200 button
downs. I imagine Colin has a, you know, I can imagine Hulk Hogan's closet is all yellow
tank tops. I picture Colin Coward's closet is all nicely pressed
light blue button-dress wrinkle-free for sure.
Wrinkle-free, oh, without a doubt.
Now, before we get into when 50 hits,
a couple last minute thoughts on the Tyson,
Jake Paul thing I was talking to Ryan
off the air. And Ryan, you have a great analogy.
What you're not,
what you don't want to have happen is you don't
want it to be Fat Elvis.
You don't want it to be the
situation where you're like looking up on stage
and you're like, man, that used to be the king.
Yeah, what happened? And then you
don't want to tune into Netflix. You got
a house full of people. You got
all the drinks, all the snacks, you're ready to go.
You turn it on and you're like,
oh, man, you're like trying to tell like
your kids or whatever.
Oh, he used to be the best. That was Iron Mike.
I'm telling you. Like when you see
current clips of Motley Crew
and Vince Neal's like, Kikstamaha,
and you're like, oh, he's... I saw Guns and Roses.
I saw Guns and Roses at a bachelor party
a couple months back, and
I was sort of bummed out
about how
notes weren't being hit. It was
It's rough, man
I mean, it's also life, but
that's why it's sad. It's like he's
58, so he better bring it.
You're right, you know what? We don't want to see
Fat Elvis. But to wrap it up,
wrapping wrap,
we're not expecting 12 rounds of
1990 Iron Mike Tyson.
You know what we need? I mean, you never got 12 rounds
really of Iron Mike back then. We need 12
seconds. We need one
flurry, one big punch.
90 seconds, like Michael Spink. We just
need that. And as the great
The lake rate, Toby Keith said,
I'm not as good as I once was,
but I'm as good once as I ever was,
and that's what we want from Mike Tyson.
We don't need them to be great all the time.
We need them to show that one moment.
Need him to hit that start button, get that uppercut.
That knockout, little Mac style.
Uppercut.
Little Mac style, yes.
All right, well, let's get into it when 50 hits.
There's a search.
What we're going to do right here is go back.
Back into time.
Throwing it back for a Thursday.
Old school when 50 hits.
At 50 after,
CNN give you the time capsule topic,
and we reminisce together.
Yeah.
We love reminiscing.
We do it every Thursday.
What are you, the little river band?
I am the little river band.
And reminiscences.
I love that song, by the way.
You should see my yacht rock playlist.
I'm not always rocking out, Rich.
Is one of the lyrics hanging in the park with Chanho Park?
He'll be dancing in a lot.
the dark hang with Chanho Park
and reminiscing.
Thought so, thought so.
So, I hate to offend
the herd, but
you get a little old school
when 50 hits in life and when 50 hits
on the clock, so we throw it back on Thursdays.
And Danny G. found this meme,
and I think it resonates
with a lot of people.
It's this
scrambled porn.
Yeah, we talked about this on our show,
our afternoon show before, where
the analog cable boxes, right before they went
to digital. They had the
twist knobs on him, and
my older brother used to take a baseball
card, bend it at half, and
stick it between the space between the knob
of the box. It got to be like a Johnny Grub
or, you know, an old school
Not your Greg Jeffery's future star.
Somebody off the bench. It's got to be
a common. Not your Todd Van Popple
that you thought was going to be worth millions.
Then he would go to Skinimax, and he
would like get it right in between the channel
and Cinemax, and
if you held it just right, it would describe
it enough to see Lady Chatterley.
It says your dad and I leaving for,
here's what the meme says.
It's scrambled porn, basically.
Like, I think I see a, ooh.
It says your dad and I are leaving for dinner.
14-year-old me five seconds later.
You're trying to get that scrambled view.
And everybody had their own technique, Danny G.
Depending on what cable you had.
Like, I remember Playboy Channel and Spice and all this.
It was like 96, right?
So you hold down the nine, and then he hit six.
and you get it just for a few seconds.
Yeah.
Or if you had that box,
you just held down three channels at the same time
and you would get that view.
And, man, you lived for it back as a really horny teen, really.
So, listen, coming up, we are going to talk about NFL fan bases
according to artificial intelligence is a funny story.
A hypothetical with Aaron Rogers.
But right now, we'll go old school for a few minutes.
What did you do?
What is your fun memory of when your parents left you alone,
when you were a teen, a preteen.
The number.
818-907-0062.
Let's get interactive.
Let's get involved.
Chop it up.
818-907-0062 and at Kavino and Rich.
One of my first thoughts goes to when my friend's parents, every Friday night in high school,
they would go bowling.
And the minute we saw the car pull away, that's when we went into their liquor cabinet.
And we would replace their liquor with water.
That's probably the number one.
And I remember years later, one of my friends' parents being like, I get, I think the, I think the whiskey went bad.
I'm like, oh, yeah, it must have went bad.
I guess that's what happened.
We'll take all your feedback next.
Kavino and Rich, in for Colin on the herd, Fox Sports Radio.
