This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is,
getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is,
getting a new one put up in its place.
I'm Akela Hughes, and Rebel Spirit season two is about both of those things.
As I was watching these statues come down,
I was thinking about what it meant that I grew up in a majority black city,
in which there were more homages to enslavers than there were to enslave people.

Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
Is everyone lying to me about who they are?
I felt such desperation.
I felt it was what I had to do.
Listen to deep cover the family man.
on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Hey, enjoy your Easter weekend, your Passover.
If you celebrate, bringing the fun here.
I think my dad's going to kiss any keister this weekend?
Because he always says, yeah, kissing keister for Easter.
Perhaps.
Now is the time to do it, I guess.
What does that even mean?
I don't know.
It means kissing ass.
That's what it means.

NBA, we're going to talk that this hour.
Jackson Dart, talk about him a little bit.
There's an interesting move he's doing for the NFL draft,
and we'll play some games.
But I got to ask everyone in the studio,
are there celebrities that you mess up once in a while?
Like, oh, they look alike, so I mess them up.
When I was a kid, I would always, again, when I was a kid,
I would confuse Larry Dallas from Three's Company with Neil Diamond.
Oh, used to think Peter Drummond from,
No, I used to think Mr. Drummond was Peter Gamens.
I thought they were the same guy.
I used to think Patrick Swayze and Kurt Russell were the same guy.
That's a good one.
Yeah, when I was little, when I was little.
Same kind of hair.
Same hair.
Yeah, I know.
I mean, obviously, I'm a grown-up now, so I know the difference.
Now, like, Josh Lucas, Matthew McConaughey.
That's the one I was thinking of, too.
But there was a TMZ tour in L.A.,
and this was on social media today, went a little viral.
They were having one of those cheesy, like,
Let's go to the celebrity's houses.
If you look to your right, that's Tom Hanks's house.
And oh, my God, everyone look out the right side.
There's John Stamos.
And it was Rob Lowe.
And Rob Lowe's like jokingly frustrated.
Like, I'm not Stamos.
That's a really funny moment.
But then again, they're both 61 and oddly.
They don't look alike, but maybe they're cut from the same cloth in a way.
It'd be like oddly overly handsome for an older guy.
And great hair, great hair.
You know the two always confused.
Amy Adams and Ila Fisher.
It's a good one.
Kavino back of the day, we used to confuse Manu Genoobli and Balkei from Perfect Strangers.
They have to be the same guy.
Don't be really digulous.
But there's a lot of them, yeah, cut from the same cloth.
You always see doppelgangers.
Stone Cold Steve Austin and Mike who runs this place.
Who?
No, you mean an old Stone Cult?
That's Mike.
How about Jamie Presley and Margot Robbie?
Oh, my God.
There's like two or three other blondes who look exactly like them.
Dude, those are all good ones,
but I just thought that was funny to bring up for a second because...
How about Javier Bardem and Jeffrey Dean Morgan?
That's a damn good one, too.
A lot of these guys are the same.
Benicio del Toro and Brad Pitt are cut from the same cloth.
Said Pinicio got some darker features.
So it's a funny viral clip.
You'll see it later on.
Roblo is like, what?
I'm not John Stammer.
Roblo's great.
Yeah, it's really funny.
They're both, and they're both not only ridiculously handsome.
They're both really charming, funny guys.
I love how Roblo's kids make fun of them on social media.
That's also a lot of fun.
Anyway, let's talk a little NFL draft.
We're less than a week away.
I see all the guys, the editors in the hallway, talking about who's going where,
who's picking who, what's going to happen.
We got the big Fox Sports Radio, NFL draft show that's happening Thursday night.
And Jackson, from what I understand,
Yard, is winning Jackson.
Is pulling an interesting move, which is he's not going to Green Bay to be there live.
for the draft.
And it's an interesting thought.
If you were a young kid, college kid,
that's about to have your family's stars be changed,
you're going to make it to the National Football League,
the money, the fame.
Your family could be middle class or struggling,
and now of a sudden,
again, your family's future has been changed forever.
Would you want to be there to awkwardly brohug,
Roger Goodell, get up on that stage and hold up your jersey,
or do you want to spend that time in your living room
with like your cousins and friends
just chilling out on the couch?
It's a great question.
I think it's more trendy,
especially this year,
to not go for whatever reason.
So he's not on the attendees list again.
Jackson Dar,
Ole Miss.
You got to go.
He's projected,
what, bottom of the first round?
Exactly.
Yeah.
He could be a team that could jump up.
That could jump up towards the middle.
You know, someone that high,
I think you should.
These are once in a lifetime things
And I get it
Well, you could say then you should be there
With your family
I think if you're more bottom down
Then I understand
But this is a major event
Are you a top or bottom?
Of the draft
These are spectacles nowadays
We talked about the evolution of the draft
For you not to go
It's like the guy who doesn't go to his prom
It's like, why not?
Why wouldn't you go?
The guy that doesn't go to the company
Christmas party and you're like
Well, why didn't you go?
Devil's advocate
Do you want me to be Keanu?
or the guy who's receiving an award, he doesn't go because, what, didn't mean anything to you?
I get being with your family is a big deal, but you should be there for that moment.
Let me play devil's advocate.
Do you want me to do Kianna or Al Pacino?
How do you feel about the guy that wins an award and doesn't go?
That is lame.
Okay.
Then why would this be any different?
Let's say, hoo-ha.
Devil's advocate.
Let's say, you're Aaron Rogers, and you think you're going at the top.
and then you embarrassingly sit there
pick after pick after
pick. Didn't that also happen to
who else was it? Like, there's
another quarterback in recent years that
was sitting there like a putts.
You don't want to be that guy.
Yeah, you don't want to be that guy, but you also
don't want to be the guy who doesn't show up to
receive his Academy Award because he's
too cool for it. So on behalf of
Jackson Dart, I say thank you.
I look at it this way as well.
It's an opportunity
to showcase your style
And I know that doesn't mean a lot to some, but what are they featuring?
You're going to see this in the NBA playoffs this weekend.
What are they going to show all pregame?
The players walking in the tunnel and what they're wearing.
Their quote unquote drip.
Honestly, this is going to be like, look at that jacket.
Look at those sneakers.
Look at that.
Style is a big part of the NBA in the NFL.
I feel like, you don't think there does an opportunity to be like,
yo, look at my jewelry, look at my suit.
I get to strut up there, hold up my jersey, bro hug, the commissioner.
and it's your first real introduction to the casual fan.
Johnny Mansell had to wait until 22.
You know, I was going to say Manzell,
and then I'm like, I thought if I was wrong,
you guys would make fun of me.
Yeah, he had to wait.
We made fun of you no matter what,
so you should have went for it.
One thing I've heard Covino's certain players say
is my dream forever has been to be up there on stage
in giving Goodell a hug
because that means they made it to the NFL.
Yeah, it should be an honor.
That's my point.
And I feel like you're snubbing the honor.
I know that's not the intention.
The intention here is to spend it with their family,
but here's what I have to say to that.
I get it.
Family's everything.
And they got you to this point.
Without their support, you'd be nothing.
And you want to share that with them.
Guess what?
How about you go up there and receive this honor?
And then you celebrate where your family.
You could bring your mom.
How about you could do both?
How about you could go up there and do your thing
and you could slap Goodell in the ass if you want
and put the hat on and show your style
and then leave and go party with your family.
You know, no one's saying you can't party with your family.
So for me, I just feel like you're being late.
about it and you're just choosing not to go.
Nothing makes me smile more than on draft night.
When some of these moms who, you know, sacrifice so much for their kids and they see their
son get drafted, it's a beautiful moment.
And what's even a more beautiful moment is when some of those moms push away the scandalous
girl that's hanging with their son, like, this is not your moment.
And I think you regret it too, man.
How many people pass on big moments?
Like, I mean, I know he didn't pass on it, but you always hear how Dwight Good and
didn't make the parade, right?
And just you live with that the rest of your life.
There are so many New York Mets in 86 that were drugged out and allegedly drug from the night before.
Like I said, who didn't go to his graduation?
Rich, didn't you not walk?
That's such a weird thing.
I don't regret it, though.
Yeah, but I think you should.
Like, you accomplish something and you don't show up.
To me, that's just, well, then what was the point?
My program director told me.
Just because he told you it doesn't make it right.
No, but it stuck in my head.
He goes, you went to college to get a great job, right?
I go, yeah.
Yeah, that's call him.
manipulating you. He said, you're on the air in New York City. You got the best job.
What are you going to do? Do you need to go back? And I go, you know, I don't really feel like it.
I think he just got in your head. I think it has a weak choice. I think you walk proudly and make
your family, but you do it for your family, man. They want to see you succeed. You want to see you
walk. They wouldn't have went. Some people don't walk. Some people don't go to their
graduation. Some people don't show up to retrieve their award.
For me, this is an honor that I think he'll regret missing out on because he could still party with
this family. Don't give me the family stuff.
And it's a lame-ass
look. You sit there with your jean shorts on like
Brett Farve. And everyone's
going to criticize this stupid couch
you're sitting on. They're like, that's the couch
they have. And we all get to
judge their girlfriend or wife
sitting next to them in the relationship
between the mom, of course. Yeah, you're
putting your family in an awkward spot too because
they're all sitting there in their crocs. The famous picture
of course with Russell Wilson in his
first. Yes. And that cringy face
his girlfriend's making. And I always remember
C.D. Lamb, remember his
girlfriend at the time was like looking at his
phone and stuff? And you're like, oh, this is
over. In
defense of Russell Wilson, it was his wife
at the time. It was. I said his first.
We always say that. I know it's his wife.
But, you know, what do you do? You're looking
at their decor and you're like, oh, they must shop
at Ashley Furniture. It's
awkward. I don't like that. Go
there and leave it up. That was the only
benefit of the
20-20 or 21 draft
during COVID was, was I love
getting a glimpse inside every coach's house
at every draftee's house.
I thought that was sort of cool.
So here I am saying, you know,
there's a little something fun about each.
Got the camera in the living room.
So funny.
So I think it's an honor.
I think you go, Rich, I do.
I think you go.
But it seems to be more of a popular thing to not go.
I got to ask you legitimately.
Because apparently there's a bunch of names
on the not attending list.
I am a huge NFL.
in fact my favorite sport
love talking about it more than anything here on Fox Sports
Radio and I know we got the first round coverage
during our special
Dollar Shave Club is sponsoring that
on Thursday night
after the first round
is it nerdy to watch
I mean just keep it on the background
meaning like I if there's a player left on the board
there's intrigue to be like ooh
they slipped when are they going to go but I feel like after
round one. No day two is fun
Rich I think it's when you get to the
sixth, seventh round, and I'm still getting
text messages from my older brother saying
see who they got in the six.
But I'm a Niners fan, but if you tell
me the Niners in the second round or third
round with the pick, you know,
87 took and it's a guy
I don't know, so I'm just going, oh, go, good.
Here's the thing with me personally. I can't
really get into
other programming or like Black Mirror
or White Lotus or whatever show
until the sun is down anyway.
I really can't. I can't focus
on a show that way.
I just can't get into that zone or into that mood.
It's like sexy time.
I can't get into that mood and the sun's still out.
Wait, you only get it on with your girl during the night?
I'm just saying, I'm not in that vibe, right?
Respectfully.
So, like, to have that on in the background is perfectly fine.
You don't have to be glued to that.
Okay.
DB.
I do think that the draft changes and obviously the schedule has changed because for years it was a two-day event,
Saturday and Sunday in the first, second, and third rounds would be on the first day
and then they'd have the rest of it.
But I do think like the first two days, the Thursday and Friday,
are really about the players and the teams.
And then I feel like four through seven are more about names in college
that you kind of knew and guys that could be going unique places
and different stories.
And then looking back on the first three rounds,
that's kind of how the coverage ends up going.
Because it isn't pick for pick.
They're just putting up graphics of people who are picked in the sixth and seventh round at that point.
But hey, it's a different vibe.
It's also just great indicator that, hey, before you know it, a new football season will begin.
Baseball's in full swing.
NBA playoffs in full swing.
And it's crazy to think by next week, by Thursday, does Aaron Rogers have to make a decision?
It's my daily Aaron Rogers mentioned Danny.
You could hit me later.
By next week.
Yes.
No, no.
He's just straight up being disrespectful at that point.
Yeah, you got to.
You know what else is fun to piggyback off of what,
was saying on the weekend, you get a lot of former players of the team coming up to read the pick.
And a lot of them smack talk.
So they're going to be in Green Bay, right?
So you're going to get a cowboy up there talking smack about how the cowboys run the world and all that.
All the booing and the back and forth.
That's fun.
I like when the ex players mix it up with the crowd.
Do you guys remember this moment?
J-E-J-E-Jets.
That was from the draft.
I love that.
Mispelling Jets.
They've done that with Eagles, Jets.
Any other fans or personnel or mayors mispronounced misspelled teams?
Not that I remember.
But yeah, it's a fun atmosphere.
So I say you got to go.
That's my side of it.
And good luck and congrats to Jackson Dart and everybody else.
Cove I pointed it out.
I pointed it out when we filled in for Dan Patrick earlier this week.
I would say the NFL draft is top three things in our lifetime.
that have evolved to something completely different.
And the top three, and if you think we're missing one, top three,
if you're a kid of the 80s and 90s, let's say you're roughly 40-ish years old,
in our lifetime, top three, the NFL draft,
which went from a bunch of people in a boardroom with landlines,
with the, you know, 80s wood paddling walls.
And cigars.
And cigars and cigarettes, like, yeah, who are you taking the first round?
Who are the Bears taking?
It's like a little league draft.
Honestly, it looked like the Little League draft where a couple dads get together.
It went from that to...
I'll take Bobby McMillan.
Wait, he's turning six or seven?
He's seven, but his mom's hot.
I got Bobby.
Okay.
That's how it was.
And now you pick a city.
It gives a little boom to the economy.
100,000 people go to check it out.
Fans and lights and cameras.
Didn't 200 go to Detroit, like both days?
It was like 200,000.
So top three things that have changed in our lifetime.
I'll say from 1980 until now, the magnitude of the NFL draft.
Number two, mixed martial arts and any type of fighting.
It went from like the backyard thing, like people talked about like, oh, like, well, like
jujitsu or karate or something?
I mean, you saw the whole sport evolve.
Yeah, it was actually just different styles, fighting different styles.
Now it's actually mixed martial arts in the octagon.
You were under on that number, Covino.
Detroit saw a record breaking 775,000 fans.
over the three-day event.
That's insane.
Yeah, I mean, it was oceans of people.
We all remember that.
And, you know, the third being something that you're going to witness this weekend.
It's not just one day anymore.
It's a weekend.
It's WrestleMania weekend.
When we were kids or your grandfather and dad would talk about wrestling,
it was like old hairy dudes and singlets like Bruno San Martino.
And now, WrestleMania is going to be in Vegas, multiple-day event,
billion-dollar industry.
Just the graphics are.
alone are ridiculous, the special effects, the pyro,
fireworks and everything, you're right.
The atmosphere.
So I think in our lifetime, from 1980 until now.
Any announcer way hotter than Finkel was.
Oh, yeah, I went that again.
You know, like the baldow look with a mustache?
Yeah. Coming down the aisle.
But NFL draft,
mixed martial arts and wrestling,
top three things that have evolved in our lifetime.
If you want to add to that list at Covene-en-Ritch.
Now, coming up, we're going to play a fun little game,
give away a prize if you want in.
87799 on Fox.
Is it Steve Kavino or Bill Belichick?
We created this game because we realized Kavino and Belichick,
both grumpy guys that date younger women named Jordan.
So we'll give away a stainless steel swiggy.
Oh, it's a good-looking Swiggy.
A little Fox Sports Radio Prize.
So again, 87799 on Fox.
It's the Swiggy that gives you the swaggy.
Plus a little preview of what you need to watch this weekend.
We call weekend hobnobbing and involved in the weekend hobnobbing.
A hell of a lot of NBA players.
playoffs to get to. So that's all coming up right here.
Kavino & Rich on Fox Sports Radio.
Let's talk about Dollar Shave Club.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas brothers. And guess what? We have some big news.
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
the four Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Last night, a blown call changed the game.
This morning, the internet lost its mind.
Highlights are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
That's where Sports Slice comes in.
I'm Timbo.
Every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the plays, the controversies,

We go straight to the source, the athlete themselves.
Their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to hear.
The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real.
From viral moments to historic games, from buzzer beaters to controversial calls,
calls, we break it down, give you context, and ask the questions everybody wants answered.

The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis.
And I know firsthand because I competed there myself.
I'm Renee Stubbs.
And on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast, I'm breaking.
breaking down everything happening at Roland Garris, every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on Clay.
Jenchen win.
I mean, she went down at three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lina Rabakina is arguably the best player in the world right now, and I actually can win on any surface.
Because if she's serving, well, good luck.
Consider this your court-side seat to the French Open.

It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the
athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

They'll be in Syracuse, Rich, hanging out with your orange.
Getting some dinosaur barbecue?
Yeah, so not only holiday weekend, again, happy Passover, happy Easter weekend.
going to turn your Good Friday
into a great Friday. You got some live
shows kicking in because it's that time of the year.
Then Limp Biscuit and Pantara
end up in
I think Toronto and then Limp Bizkit
joins them. They're calling it Limpalika.
But yeah, that's a good summer show, man.
So enjoy some live shows this weekend.
And thank you for enjoying our live show.
Coveino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio

I think two of your coolest pieces of sports memorabilia
are your Kenny Powers
Danny McBride sign baseball
La Flama Blanca. I love Kenny Powers
Eastbound and down. And the fact that you got Fred
Dirst to sign a Red Yankees hat. That is true.
That's a sort of a cool move. It's in our

perfect all right let's do this let's play a game it's right now come on steve kovino and bill
bellichick has some things in common bill bellichick's the man they both have younger girlfriends
named jordan hey man if that was my daughter they both have a powerful presence in the sports world
Look harder so you can do that when you're 72.
You tell us, is it Steve Kavino or Bill Belichick?
I'm not mad at him at all.
I want to know what it is.
I'm telling you, Danny, this game's getting more confusing because I don't know if you know this.
Camino now makes us see his girlfriend on all our emails.
Yeah, I bring her to work with me sometimes, too.
Yeah, and a happy birthday to Bill a couple days ago he turned the big 7-3.
Jesus.
So that means he's only five years older than Steve Kovino.
Is that odd to some people when they realize, like, my dad's 73?
I don't look at my dad and Bill Belichick is like, would they be friends?
All right.
Let's meet our contestant on the studio line.
He's looking to win a CNR stainless steel swiggy.
And then I'll quickly explain the game.
Mark in Carson City, Nevada.
What's up, Mark?
Hey.
Hey, Mark, what do you do for a living there?
I am a instant car delivery driver.
Nice, man.
All right.
Keep us on while you're driving.
rubbing around. Appreciate that man.
Sounds shady to me.
Yep.
Mark here is how Covino or Belichick works.
I've done extensive research on coach and Covino and their young girlfriends.
They're basically the same guy.
Each member of the crew is going to read a fun fact.
And then you got to tell us, is it Steve Covino or Bill Belichick?
You have five chances to get two correct.
All right.
You ready?
Yep.
All right.
Rich is going to read the first fun fact.
Okay.
This guy, whether it's Cavino or Belichick, has
talked about his love for NFL films.
This guy's talked about his love for NFL films.
Who is it? Kavino or Belichick?
Kavino.
Bill Belichick.
That was Billy.
Yeah. I mean, I love NFL films. I never talked about it.
Okay.
All right, it's okay. You still got four chances to get too correct.
And Dan Byer is going to read.
D.V. Go read the second fun fact.
Kavino or Belichick. He was seen on the TV show Hell's Kitchen.
Oh, that's easy.
Oh, it was a lifetime ago with my ex, but they did show me.
I even had a line on Hell's Kitchen.
Oh, what's your line?
It was a, it tastes like a work boot.
Someone made something, and it was horrible, but they kept showing me at the table.
It tastes like a work.
Yeah, so I was actually had dinner.
You ordered your meat well done.
I had dinner at Hell's Kitchen, man.
Yeah.
All right, Mark, it's all right, but the pressure's on a little bit.
You've got to get two out of these next three, okay?
Spot has the third fun fact.
This is a tricky one.
All right.
His Jordan dressed up as a mermaid for Halloween, 24.
Is it Kavino or Belichick?
Oh, my God.
Oh.
Yeah.
Yes.
He's on the board.
And I confirmed his, actually,
Cavino's girlfriend, didn't dress up as anything for Halloween.
Yeah, but it was a true question because I dressed up as a merman.
Merman.
Merman.
All right, so halfway to a swiggy, Iowa Sam has the fourth fun fact.
All right.
Samuel L. Johnson.
Sam is very confused.
So nervous.
It's frazzled.
I'd clear my throat there.
All right.
He refuses to play the game Jenga.
He refuses to play the game Jenga, Covino or Belichick.
That's a good one.
I want to say one, but I'm a...
Covino?
Dude, it's just a thing.
And thank you.
Let me explain with you, man.
People bust out these corny games at a party.
That's the end of the party.
I don't want to play this nonsense.
Get out of here.
What am I,
the college kid?
It's not into it.
No, I'm not into Giant Jenga.
Yeah, he hates Giant Jenga.
Get out of here.
You're in a bar that has like the Giant Jenga.
Yeah, the fun's over at that point.
I was having fun talking and hanging out and you busted out stupid games.
He equally hates Giant Connect 4.
If you've ever been to a bar that has that.
By the way, fun fact.
And then it topples over.
Everybody laughs at you.
That's a stupid game.
Get out of here.
How insecure you that you'd be mad about losing Gengga?
You know what?
It all worked out because you got it right.
I don't play Jenga, man.
I don't Jenga.
Back against the wall.
Didn't matter.
Mark walks away with a CNR Swiggy in Carson City.
I was nervous from Mark for a minute.
You pulled that off.
Congratulations, buddy.
We're going to mail out a CNR Swiggy to you.
All righty.
Hey, enjoy your weekend, buddy.
Wow.
And we continue to be the same guy.
Happy.
Happy NBA playoff weekend.
A lot going down.
In fact, someone's got a Swiggy in their Easter basket.
You know?
I think a Swiggy is a perfect Easter basket gift.
Hey, if you want to qualify for one without playing a game,
we play games every day.
But all you have to do is follow our podcast on Apple Podcasts, Covino and Rich,
and leave a nice comment.
Say something nice.
If you follow already, just leave another review.
And if Danny G ever emails you, you qualify, you could win a Swiggy.
So there you go.
Now, before we get to weekend hobnobbin.
what to watch in the world of sports and entertainment.
There's a lot of appointment watching with NBA playoffs
and some great stuff that's streaming.
So we got a lot to get to with weekend hobnobics.
So I want to save time for that.
But I do want to ask you one thing, Kavino.
I saw you're a big fight fan.
I sure am.
And there's speculation about Jake Paul's.
Oh, no.
There's no speculation.
Is it official?
I mean, in today's world, you never know, right?
I mean, we saw all these women go into outer space this week
and people are saying it didn't happen.
So I don't know what to believe.
But there is a rumor slash official word that Jake Paul's next opponent is who?
Is Julio Cesar Chavez?
How old is he?
Not the father, junior.
Oh.
Not the dad.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Who's 39 years old, I believe.
I'm surprised to see he's 39.
Didn't you say that he was a critic?
You know, I'll explain.
Yeah.
All right.
It's going to go down at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, Saturday, June 28th on DeZone
pay-per-view. So MVP promotions, which is Jake Paul and Golden Boy, De La Jolla,
joined forces to make this fight happen. And you have to remember, Chavez Jr. does have a bad
reputation, but he's a former champion who's battled Sergio Martinez. That was a battle. Didn't
get ca-oed by Canelo. Some people say he lost every round, but, you know, he showed up out of shape,
and that's the criticism. The criticism with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is that he was born with a
silver spoon in his mouth. His dad, legendary fighter, fought his way to the top. His son,
sort of lazy, but he has a good jaw and he's a strong puncher. And when he's committed and he's
not on the weed when he's not smoking and out of shape, he's actually a really tough fighter and he's a
tall big dude. So I don't know what weight they're fighting at, but he'd have to beef up a little bit
hoping that he comes in shape because he could beat Jake Paul, no doubt. Well, I look at. I look
get Julio Cesar Chavez. Like you said, he's 39. He's 54, 6 and 1 career. He's, I was going to say,
he's had 62 fights. So the kids fought a lot. Yeah. And Jake Paul's 11 and 1. So again,
the only criticism here is, is that Chavez Jr. hasn't fought in a minute and he's known for being
lazy. If, and it's a big if, if he shows up in shape, Jake Paul's got his hands full with this
dude. And by the way, you know how much pride is on a lot? You think Chavez Jr. wants to show up
with that legendary name in front of all these Mexican fans.
And it's kind of a cultural thing too because he represents Chavez's dad in Mexico, right?
Yeah.
And Jake Paul, they call him El Gio, Jake Paul.
He's got that Puerto Rican backing because he lives in Puerto Rico.
Well, he lives in Puerto Rico now.
And there's that rivalry there between Puerto Rico because they embrace him and Mexico.
So there's going to be a lot of fans excited about this fight.
I'm Team Chavez Jr.
If he's in shape.
I wonder if I'm excited about this.
I haven't made up my mind because at first I thought it was senior and I'm like, he's going to fight an old man?
No.
No, no, no.
He's fighting again, a bona fide former champion who had tons of potential and a guy who just got in his own way for being lazy.
I mean, it sounds like another sham to me.
He fought Yeriah Hall a year ago.
Sham.
He fought Cigarra.
He fought Cigna.
You know, Chavez Jr. fought a lot of big names.
Well, keep him on.
Because he's a big name.
Keep a mind.
He lost to Canelo Alvarez.
Yeah.
He went the distance with Canello.
So this favors Caesar Chavez Jr.
But that was in 2017.
And a lot happens in eight years.
That is true.
And Jake Paul's active and, you know, training all the time.
He's a big dude.
I'm looking at his, you know, fight history.
He's fought some good fighters.
But again, this is a long time ago.
At one point, Cesar Chavez Jr. was 40 and O.
And then the wheel sort of fell off a little bit.
And, you know, we'll see what happens.
But if you're a fight fan, Jake Paul, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June.
Stop picking old guys.
He's not that old.
He's not that.
He's older.
I mean, you thought it was his dad.
That would have been fun.
That would have been fun.
And Louleos Caesar Travis in his 60s.
Come on.
Doesn't Jake Paul have to fight guys that are close to Social Security or now?
All right.
Let's go to Dan Byer for an update.
And then we got weekend hobnob and what's up, Dan?
Guys tonight, two playing games for the eight seeds in the NBA playoffs.
Heat and Hawks get going at the top of the hour.
Then it's the Mavericks and Grizzlies.
And Grizzlies guard John Morant is expected to play tonight against Dallas.
He received injections in his injured ankle on Thursday.
Didn't practice then is officially listed as a game time decision.
But ESPN reports Morant has told people around him that he expects to play this evening.
The Lakers have given general manager Rob Polinka,
a contract extension and a promotion.
He's now the Lakers president of basketball operations.
While San Antonio Spurs,
head coach Greg Popovich is at home and resting
after he was taken to a local hospital
on Tuesday night after an incident at a restaurant,
according to ESPN.
Speaking of hospitals, Dodgers star Shohei Otani,
not with the team in Texas.
Don't worry, though.
He's going to miss the start of their series of the Rangers.
Otani stayed in California awaiting the birth of his first child.
Yankees infield of Jazz Chisholm was suspended one game,
game for violating Major League Baseball's social media policy with the post that he made on X soon after he was ejected in their game against the raise.
Chisholm is appealing that one game ban. Cubs outscored the dominobacks 13 to 11. Cubs blew a 7-1 lead.
We're down 11, 7 in the 8th and then scored 6 in the bottom half of the inning.
Crazy Day at Wrigley with the wind blowing out. Carson Kelly, Homer twice for Chicago.
Ian Hap had a grand slam.
Johaniel Suarez had a grand slam for Arizona.
but the Cubs win today, 1311.
Justin Thomas leads the RBC Heritage at 12 under par after two rounds of play.
And former Ole Miss quarterback Jackson Dart, something you guys talked about,
along with former Georgia edge rusher, Michael Williams, will not be attending the NFL draft next week.
Guys, have a great weekend.
Hey, you too, Dan.
Happy Easter, happy Passover.
Enjoy that time with friends and family.
Very important.
We're good to watch some NBA playoffs this weekend.
And we're going to talk about exactly when and what games you need to watch.
We'll get to that.
and other things in weekend hobdobbin.
All right, so stick around more Kavino and Rich next.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And we were thinking I'm originally calling it.
one of the early names of our band
before Jonas Brothers
was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing,
a bit for the podcast
where people could call in and say,
Hey Jonas.
And then I wrote down
on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title
for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.

Today's Friday.
Today's Friday.
By the way, Chris Tucker better be part of that new Friday deal that Ice Cube's got going on.

And you know this, man.
Today's Friday.
We're live from the top of the time.

Get ready for the next hilarious PayPal campaign with Will Farrell singing his rendition of Fleetwood Max,
Go Your Own Way.
Wait for it in a bathtub.
Check out the teaser that dropped yesterday and the commercial on Saturday during the basketball game this weekend.
That's the second time you've done that.
I don't get it.
All right.
What I'm going to do it already?
Will Ferrell singing his rendition of Fleetwood Max, go your own way.
Wait for it.
in a bathtub like it's supposed to be
suspenseful. Oh man, you're the best, Rich.
I mean, I'll give you a high five.
Oh, National High Five Day. It was yesterday.
I like how you say bathtub, though, you know,
like I feel like I'm sitting in the middle of Times Square.
Yeah.

And the Express Pros,
pro the week, goes to playing Jimmy Butler.
Play in Jimmy.
Yeah.
Feels like a week ago, like a lifetime ago.
It's been a long week.
Yeah, it was Tuesday.
And we were filling in for Dan Patrick earlier this week.
So it feels like such a long time ago.
He scored 38 points.
I think he had six assists, seven rebounds,
over that 121, 116 win over the Grizzlies.
So congrats again, it's his time of the year.
Playoff Jimmy's back.
Congrats to play in Jimmy for being our Express Pro's Pro of the Week.
And now it's time for weekend hobnobbin.
Kavino and Rich, let's go.
Living for the weekend.
Your winning bets for talking points if you get stuck socializing.
You ever done anything dangerous?
You ever dance with the devil and the pale moonlight?
That is dangerous.
Friday brings us.
Weekend Hobbit.
Novi.
All right.
So this is what you need to watch in the world of sports and entertainment.
Apparently you got to watch this Will Farrell commercial.
Wait for it.
Wait for it.
In a bathtub.
So do I have to be in a bathtub or is he in a bathtub?
I think they want you also in a bathtub.
Well, that's why I'm confused.
With Will Ferrell.
But I don't take baths.
While you're watching.
Well, in the world of sports and entertainment, here's what you need to know.
So that you know what's going on come Monday, right?
It's a holiday weekend.
Happy Easter.
You've got to make time for some of the.
this happy passover i got to finish black mirror it's been out for a few minutes but here's what i've
learned so far black mirror is available on netflix it's like the modern day twilight zone
black mirror meaning like your phone technology how technology gets in the way of our lives
i hear it's uh like dark and creepy i'm like hesitant to watch to be honest dark and creepy yeah but more so
than ever but it's season seven here's my advice skip episode three
agree. Because that's where I stopped and I can't get through it because it's so boring.
So I hear it's great. One and two are great. Skip three and then continue on with four.
Black Mirror. Ryan Coogler's the Sinners comes out this weekend. And they're saying it's going to rival Minecraft.
They're wondering, is it going to be number one in the theaters this weekend.
Yeah, it's that or like is that Minecraft. That's Michael B. Jordan and Mrs. Josh Allen soon enough,
Halley Steyfield. Yeah, but Coogler's teaming up.
Cougar's known for directing Black Panther and Creed.
This time the sinners reunited with Michael B. Jordan again.
So the sinner's weekend is bound to be a big one.
What's up, Sam?
Sorry to get you guys off topic for weekend plans,
but have you guys seen the trailer for 28 years later?
Yes.
Holy cow, that looks amazing.
It's a great franchise.
I never saw the first, too.
I'm starting to see a lot of ads for that.
So good.
Well, you got some time now, Sam.
I do.
You know, use this weekend to go back and watch the first couple.
I could, but I feel like I could watch
28 years later, it's just standalone.
It'd be fantastic, but it looks really good.
Anyway, back to this.
And you got to check out our latest installment of Overpromise.
That's our bonus show.
But it's a show you could watch and enjoy.
OverPromis debuted yesterday, episode 88.
We talked about the best athletes of our lifetime, of our life, current day.
Yeah.
a la Travis Hunter, who wants to play both sides of the ball.
Best athletes, we talk baseball cards and some of the greatest pulls in the world of baseball cards.
Actually, basketball cards as well.
Basketball cards, to be precise.
And friendly wagers in how they make sports more interesting.
Overpromised episode 88.
I would recommend throwing it on YouTube on your smart TV,
watching us all big screen style.
That's on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page.
Thanks again for checking that out.
And let's go Yankees.
They take on the raise this weekend.
I'll be watching that.
You guys recommended it, and you were so right.
I was hesitant to watch Love on the Spectrum
because I thought, it might be a little too emotional.
I didn't want to get all emotionally caught up.
I'm like, eh, my nephews on the spectrum.
I watch this.
It is the most lovable sweet show I've seen in years.
These kids are rock stars.
Tanner and Connor and honestly, Danny G.
It's done so well.
Don't skip out on James, man.
That guy's funny.
Oh, and James, so yeah.
Love on the spectrum, fantastic.
Like you said, Black Mirror, if you're not hesitant.
If you're a guy Richie fan, he has a new documentary,
I know you're a documentary guy.
It's called The Diamond Heist, based on a true story about people doing some
robberies. So if that's your stees, the diamond heist trending on Netflix. And the life list,
a movie also on Netflix with Sophia Carson, I think is worth watching. And my kids are really into
Sonic right now, and you can now stream the third one on Peacock. So Sonic 3, so that's going to be
exciting. And Danny J. I know you got all the times for the NBA games. I think the one to keep
your eye on, obviously besides the LA teams, Sunday 630 out here on the west side, that's the Warriors
Rockets game.
Can't wait.
Can't wait.
I know, I think it was Spot that brought this up last week.
John Hamm's new series on Apple TV.
Your friends and neighbors,
so damn good.
In fact, I was looking here at different articles.
Movie Web says they think it's John Ham's best role since Mad Men.
It's getting a lot of good reviews so far.
So is it like season one, it's really good?
It just started, yeah.
I'll give it a shot.
Martin's here and he loves John Hamm because I see him posting social media posts about John
him so he's really enthusiastic. Oh, I believe Martin more than you guys. So yeah. Thanks, Martin.
So we're about to tip off in Atlanta, Miami at the Hawks, and we got the Mavericks at the Memphis
Grizzlies. That's the end of the playing tournament. And Saturday's the big game. The bucks at the
Pacers, the Clippers at the Nuggies, the Pistons at the Knuggies, the Pistons at the Knicks, as we call them,
the Wolves at the Lakers. Yeah, so yeah, that's a great NBA this weekend. I'll make sure to text
you, Danny, go Lakers, and then text our boss. Go T-Wolves. I know you will do that.
Play both sides.
You know what else?
I'm going to be eyeing up this weekend all weekend.
Those Cadbury crack eggs, those candy-coated eggs of crack that you can't resist.
You know those new ones?
Not those gooey ones we grew up with.
No, no, no.
Yeah, those mini ones.
I'll be staring at those all weekend.
Just trying to resist them.
Like Eminem's like to the 10th power.
Anything else before we go?
New movie.
I mean, if you're a fan of Yellowstone, Ransom Canyon, it's kind of like that same vibe.
but it stars Josh Dumel and Minka Kelly too.
Want some handsome and some hotness?
Check that out.
There you go.
Happy holidays,
happy Passover,
happy Easter,
everybody.
And we'll see you guys back here on Monday.
Arriva there you,
baby.
See you in the Promise Land.
Today's Friday.
Hey guys,
it's us.
The Jonas Brothers.
I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called,
Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well,
we didn't invent it.
We just contributed.
First people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it, but, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.

Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover
that your dad has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
