Thursday, it's the hurt. Wherever you may be, however you may be listening. IHeart Radio, Fox Sports Radio, FS1. J. Mack, Greg Kosell in a couple of minutes. Lincoln Riley next hour. Lincoln Riley, how are they doing? USC surgeons. Well, they're winning a lot of games.

They're one play in some interesting officiating in Salt Lake City away from being undefeated. They're 40 seconds away from being undefeated, well? I think that Utah scored that two-point conversion. Well, I congratulate Utah. I was a little sketchy officiated. USC led that entire game. Yes, I thought USC was a better team. I want to see them in the playoff.

That offense, Lincoln Riley, like three weeks to prepare. Lincoln Riley and Caleb Williams, coach of the year, quarterback of the year, there are holes on that roster. It's a coaching quarterback story. Have you given Lincoln any notes on how to stop the UCLA run game? because this could be like a 250-yard effort from the Bruins. Bruins love to run, and USC struggles to stop it. A little bit.

And USC is really good out in space, and the Bruins' defense isn't great in space. So it's going to be a wildly entertaining football. It could be one of those last team of the ball scores. First to 40 wins, maybe? Oh, first, no. I mean, you could get there first. It doesn't mean you'll be the last. It doesn't mean you'll be.

I think it's got 46, 43 written all over it. So you'll be in the stands for that one, huh? No, I'll be at home with a big party. Oh, I was going to go to it. I don't like... I didn't see my invite. Well, it's very exclusive. Goodness gracious, the disrespect.

By the way, we were talking about this. According to NFL research, the Broncos lead the NFL in scoring defense, and our last in scoring offense, that hasn't happened since the 1946 Steelers. Yes, this Bronco team is historic. It is interesting. I was just saying this to Peter King. Even great organizations whiff on coaches. Jerry Tarkhanian got hired by the Spurs.

He lasted 20 games. The 49ers hired Jim Tom Sula. It was a wreck. The opening press conference was a disaster. The Red Sox had the Bobby Valentine hire, where he got into a fight with Dustin Padroy in spring training. Kentucky basketball had the Billy Gillespie year or two. Alabama had a lot.

Mike Price who never actually coached the game because he got caught in a strip club. Nathaniel Hackett is a good guy, but he's a coordinator or a consultant or a quarterback coach. You can't go into a game off a buy and introduce nothing new. Here was Hackett yesterday on Facing the Raiders. Somebody's got to win this game. I mean, it's been a lot of one-point scores between, or not one-point, but one-score games between both of the clubs. know, it speaks to, you know, they're a really good football team. I know everybody looks at records, but in the NFL, I believe that everybody's really, really good.

And somebody's going to have to make that final play to be able to make it that, you know, who comes out on top. Oh, boy. I got a headache. Greg Kossel, 43 years, NFL films. If I don't have to talk about Denver again for the rest of the year, I'll be fine. I'll be fine. So I want to talk about when I watched Tampa beat Seattle, and I was like, oh, okay, they do have a run game. And they have some rookie running back white that ran for over 100 yards.

Do you believe watching him and watching their own line? Because if they can run, now they're a threat in the NFC. Do you believe he can be implemented as a real threat going forward in that run game? You know, just to answer that one way, and then I'll mention White because I really liked him coming out of Arizona State. There's a lot of coaches who believe that the run game is more about the back than the O line. That our back makes a run game more than an O line. And I think White, he is quicker. He's more short-airy explosive than Four-Net.

He's smoother. He's got better lateral agility and change a direction. He just has more juice. and I think that white should be the feature back if they're going to really consistently run the ball because even after last week's game, they still rank last in the NFL through the first half of the season. Their first down rushing yards per attempt, Colin, is the worst in the league. So when they run the ball on first down, which everybody does, of course, they're last in the league. So Fournette is not a feature back.

Fournette does not have the skill set to be a foundation. back. Fournette does not turn three-yard runs into seven-yard runs. White can do that. He's a better runner than Four-net. Wow. Speaking of a run game, Dolphins got Jeff Wilson. It's like, oh, boy, oh, now they're going to start really looking like that 49ers offense. What do you make of that run game? Well, we know, and I know Mike McDaniel, I was fortunate enough to spend time with him a couple of summers ago, and he's a fascinating guy to talk to. I don't know if you've ever, you know, I've talked to him, but he's a fascinating guy. Obviously, he wants to run the football, and he's going to run the football.

And Wilson is a good back, and they've got a pretty good offensive line, probably better than people think. They've got one of the best left tackles in football in Armstead. Yeah. And their old line is, again, Wilson is a very good back. You're seeing him here. He's got some juice to him. He was really the best back in.

in San Francisco, obviously, until they got McCaffrey, and that's why he's with Miami. But they will run the football, and they're still playing at a really high level with the past game. Everything is quick rhythm. Ball comes out. Two is sees it. Two is playing at a very, very high level. He's very comfortable in this offense.

I know you talked about it. He needs to be in a specific kind of offense. That's exactly what Mike McDaniel is running. And with Waddle and Hill and the fact that they're not pressed and the fact that they use motion so they get free access. There's no disruption of routes. So therefore, there's no disruption of Tua's timing on his quick drop plan set. So interesting tonight. Really going to be, I think it's going to be a low scoring game and coaching and situational football is going to matter. The Titans that can get a pass rush with just four are going to put some heat. We're going to put

some heat on Aaron Rogers. So I would imagine Green Bay would like to, this is the third straight topic, run the football. What did Green Bay do offensively against Dallas that was perhaps different or certainly more effective than the previous month. They ran the football. How about this when Aaron Rogers is your quarterback, Colin? They had 37 called runs, okay, and 23 called passes. That's what they had in that game. You rarely see that in an NFL game.

So even with Aaron Rogers, and obviously they're not trying to hide Aaron Rogers. It's not like a rookie quarterback where you don't want him to drop back. But think about that. Jones and Dylan combined for 37 rushes for over 200 yards. And Aaron Rogers only dropped back to pass 23 times. Now, my guess is that can't be the formula every single week. But I think they want to run the football. They've had a lot of turnover on their offensive line. It seems as if it's a different group every single week.

We know offensive linemen would rather fire off the ball than pass protect. Rogers obviously not super comfortable with his receiving core. Dobbs will be out again. So I think this is ideally the way they would like to play. Plus, they've had a lot of injuries on defense. And the one thing running the ball tends to do is it shortens the game. Your defense does not have to play as many snaps. Okay, so the best game of the weekend was Minnesota and Buffalo.

And listen, Josh Allen, last three weeks has made some mistakes. but you get all the tape, you see all the film. Are you freaking out about Josh Allen's turnovers? What does the film say? I'll tell you exactly what the film says. And there's no question that he needs to clean up a few really, really bad mistakes. No question. But Josh Allen, in that game against Minnesota, played at a really high level,

really high level. And then he made, you know, obviously mistakes that have to be cleaned up. but he played really, really well. When I put the tape on and watched it, I turned to my guys here on the matchup show and said, wow, he is playing really well. You know, they don't run the ball. There were a number of situations, Colin, in that game,

and again, I don't rip coaches because I just don't do that because I know how hard I work and I know how hard they work. But this is not a team that runs the ball. They don't run the ball in situations that you and I would probably say, hey, you got to run the ball in that situation. They don't do that. So they obviously have their reasons for not doing that, but they don't. So really, Josh Allen is asked to do everything for that team, and more often than not, he succeeds.

But he does have to clean up those really bad interceptions. You can't turn it over in the red zone. This week it was fourth down, the one that he threw. So that's, and he even admitted that he said, hey, look, I'm not going to, I'm not going to throw it away. I'm not going to take a sack. It's fourth down. And the last one, I thought Patrick Peterson actually read that.

beautifully and knew what the route combination was, probably based on formation. He's a veteran corner. But other than that, Alan played at a really high level in that game. Okay, so standalone games like Monday Night Football, we overreact. But Philadelphia, so we kept asking the question all year, what happens when they trail? You know, what happens when they're, you know, because quarterbacking in this league is a lot different when you have a great run game and you lead. You know, Baker Mayfield looked really good with a lead and a great run.

game. All of a sudden you have to throw, that's when Mahomes looks great. So let's start with Philadelphia's offense. What did you see with Philadelphia's offense that didn't click? Well, first of all, they didn't have the ball very much in the first half. They only had the ball for six minutes and ran 21 plays, so they had no chance really to get into any kind of rhythm. And their first possession was off a turnover, so they only had a short distance to go and they scored quickly. So they never got a chance to get into any kind of rhythm. This is a schemed offense, Colin, more than a personnel offense. Obviously, they have really good personnel, but this was a highly schemed offense.

In the second half, they did some good things. But when they scored their first touchdown drive, the way they got their offense back on track is they ran the ball. They didn't ask Hertz to be the guy. They ran the ball. Their TD drive that ended with Smith's touchdown, the first play of the fourth quarter, they had seven runs on that drive. So, you know, we still don't know the answer to your question because their offense didn't move the ball in the second half, but they did it running. It wasn't really put on on Jalen Hertz.

So that's probably still a question just because that offense is it's built to present Hertz with really defined reads and throws. Yeah. Which, by the way, that's what coaches should do. Yeah. Now, let's talk about their defense. You know, J-MAC brought this up earlier. They're missing one of their defensive linemen on the interior, and it looks like you can kind of pound the ball a little bit against that defense,

which maybe you couldn't a few weeks ago. Well, you know what? That was fascinating to me. This has been a big conversation here in Philly. Do you know that they gave up for the game three yards per rush? If I told you going into a game, hey, my defense is going to give up three yards per rush, wouldn't you say that's pretty good?

Yeah. So yet when you watch the game, game, both on TV and on tape, it appeared that the commanders were kind of controlling the game, because obviously they were getting first downs. But perhaps the more important stat, and the one that I think that, I don't think we should be worried about it going forward, but the first 14 third downs, the commanders converted 12 of them for first downs. Wow. That's a ridiculous number. Now, I must say that a number of those were third and one and third and two, and if you're in third one and third and two as an offense, you feel pretty good.

So we'll see about the Eagles run defense. The numbers are pretty good with their run defense. They obviously just signed Linville Joseph because they put someone on injured reserve. I don't know when Jordan Davis is back. You know, Davis plays about 20 snaps a game and he's not really, he can't play more than that because he needs a lot of work to get in better shape. And that's what he is right now. He can play about 20 snaps a game.

And they're all basically run down snaps. So we'll see. but they gave up very small pieces of yards, but it just didn't look good. All right. So the Vikings host the Cowboys, and this will be one of the more entertaining games. A lot of great offensive players, some great pass rushers as well. So I want to break this down. Let's first of all, you know, we joke about this.

Minnesota in the one o'clock window, Kirk Cousins in the one o'clock window, unbelievable. And you would watch that game, and he made a couple of throws to Justin Jefferson, where he kind of threw him open and he let it rip. And I've never seen him as sort of a let it rip guy. So what did you see from that performance and that offense against Buffalo? What did the Viking film say that you liked? Well, I think you nailed that I think Cousins was really aggressive throwing the ball.

I don't think he's gotten enough credit at times. This offense this year, because of the new coach, it's been kind of a work in progress, Colin. They have not necessarily been great every single week, even though they're, is it eight and one? They're eight and one, right? They're high. Right.

So even though they're eight and one, and I think they won seven games in a row. But there's been a number of games where their offense hasn't quite clicked. But for the most part of this past week, I thought that Cousins played really well. He made some really tight window throws. Now, he's obviously very,

very comfortable throwing the ball to Justin Jefferson. And we all understand why. Jefferson is a great receiver. But a little bit along. Austin Jefferson's great performance was that Cousins really made some aggressive throws. And, you know, Cousins is, as you say, Cousins plays really, really well. And then he gets into games that are sort of marquee games. And people just assume he's going to fall apart based on his track record.

I guess we don't know that again until maybe he plays in some more. But he's playing at a pretty high level right now. He's an aggressive thrower. He turns it loose. He stays in the pocket. His offensive line knows where he's. going to be. This is a really important point. His offensive line knows where he's going to be, and they protect well. The left tackle Darasaw, who was a first round pick out of Virginia Tech,

I think, last year, he's a really good player. I want to talk about Dallas. So Dallas is going to go to Minneapolis. Dak Prescott on third down and fourth down throws this year has really been bad. The numbers are pretty bad. And there's no getting around it. Tony Pollard now is there one back. Zeeke's there too. I love CD Lamb, but I feel like they could use some more juice at wide receiver. Yeah. When you watch the tape on Dallas, now they go up to Minnesota, can this team win a shootout with Minnesota?

Because that may very well be a shootout because people are struggling to stop the Vikings. Yeah. I mean, Dak obviously has a track record where he's played in shootouts and he's performed well. He threw two picks last week. One, I thought was on CD Lam, not on Dak. the one he threw in the red zone. You obviously don't want to do that. But you're right. I think Lamb, Lamb is kind of their movement motion receiver. Yes. He lines up in multiple locations within the offense. He's not a pure outside receiver like let's say Jefferson is.

And they don't really have a whole lot more right now at the wide receiver position. So it's really Lamb. Lamb had 15 targets last week. That's a lot for a wide receiver in a game. So I think as much as they want to throw the ball. And Dak, at this point, his career for the most part due to injury and just probably experience getting a little bit older, he's essentially a pocket quarterback. He's not really going to do much beyond that. And there's nothing wrong with that. But when you're that way, you have to be really, really efficient.

And he can be. And he may have to be. You know, the Vikings defense is not talked about because of cousins and Jefferson, but the Vikings defense has played well this year. Yeah. So, you know, the team in the league that I think. think's the most talented. I compared Miami to San Francisco earlier.

I said they both have a great left tackle, lots of weapons, same offensive system, a quarterback with an injury history that has a ceiling but is really accurate when he has time to throw. I do think the Niners have much more talent on defense. That's fairly obvious. So when I look at San Francisco, I said this, I'm going to throw something at you. And I may be crazy, but tear me apart if I'm wrong. Tell me apart if I'm wrong.

I said, I think my knock on San Francisco is that they actually, in a weird way, underachieve in the second half offensively because Shanahan tends to be so brilliant on that call sheet and play design that he gets stuck on it. And at halftime, sometimes you got to move off it. They are 24th in the league offensively in the second half. And I always feel like in the first half, play design. game plan is excellent. But I do feel like sometimes Jimmy Garoppolo's earned the right to occasionally with those weapons, let it rip. And they feel tied to the, they feel tied to that sheet. That's what bothers me about the offense. I see all the talent and I look at the numbers and I'm

like, 22 points against the Chargers. What's wrong here? Am I way off here? It's a hard thing to know because we don't know for sure, you know, what he's calling. and why he's calling it and the game plan meetings throughout the week. So we don't, we can't answer that for certain. All we do is we have access to the results and we feel like the results should be better. Yeah. So therefore we think something isn't, isn't working correctly. I would say this about that.

He knows Jimmy Garapolo extremely well, Colin. They've been together a long time. Maybe he feels, and I'm speculating just in some ways as you are, that Garapolo is not that guy. that Garapolo needs everything to be within the structure of the offense, which, of course, as you said, and is true, is so well-schemed with motions, with the use of personnel, that maybe he feels that's the best way that Jimmy Garapolo can play. And if you step outside of that, that the efficiency will drop and perhaps you'll get turnovers, which obviously is the bane of all coaches.

So since we don't know the answer to that, that's just a guess on my part. But they certainly don't open it up. that's not the way they play. Right. Everything is rhythmic. Everything is on time. And I think you'll see them continue to do that. So I thought it was interesting.

We're going to finish our big play with Mahomes is that, you know, this is why Andy Reid is so brilliant. And Mahomes deserves credit. They get Tony from the Giants. And immediately they work him right into the offense. And it's like, that's so Andy Reid, right? Like they just, they rebuilt their defense. They rebuilt their O-Line. They rebuild their receiving core.

And Andy just figures out how to do it in a week. So let's go to the, let's, let's, let's, finish it with Mahomes against the jazz. Well, you know, I just got to say this. You know, I watch Mahomes every week. And he's just really good, Colin. I mean, you know, he's so comfortable moving. And there will always be plays in which he moves out of the pocket when there's no reason to.

But that's just part of his game that will not likely change. And you don't want to coach those instincts out of him. He just sees things. I think he sees things exceptionally well on the field. You never get a sense that he's playing fast. or frenetic or chaotic. And the term natural thrower, as you know, is so overused. But with Mahomes, it absolutely fits.

He just throws the ball so easily from any angle. And he's truly a natural thrower of the football. So we'll go to this play. This was a touchdown from a week ago against the Jaguars. And again, Mahomes moving probably didn't need to, but that's just the way he plays. And he's a master at it. So you see him in the gun here, and he's in the gun a lot, obviously.

And they're going to be in a two-by-two set, very common, three-by-one, two-by-two. This is what teams do. And they're going to get a single high-safety look from the Jaguars. Yep, yep. But you're going to get Valdez Scaling and Watson, and they're going to basically run mirrored over-routs. And then Smith-Schuster and Gray, the tight-in, are going to run shorter routes. Now, this corner here, who is over Watson, he runs. with him. And that's really interesting because now what happens is when you get Valdez Scantily running

his over-out, there's no one to play it. So it's possible there was a mistake made here, but Mahom's everything. And he sees everything when he's supposed to see everything. And there may be no better quarterback that we've seen recently who sees things when he moves. Because when he moves, yes, he'll run sometimes, but I don't think he moves to run. I think he moves to run. I think he moves to throw, and his vision on the move is absolutely exceptional. Yeah. Greg CoSell, NFL Films, as always great seeing you, Greg. Thanks, Colin. I appreciate it. Yeah, Mahomes is he and Alan, and I throw Burrow into this.

I think Burrell's just different. Sometimes guys, you just say, they're different. Mahomes is sort of separated now. There was always this argument. Brady was the goat, but Aaron was more talented. Now it looks like Mahomes is the best quarterback, and it's due to his talent. But he has some of Brady's coachability. I mean, they throw new receivers, new offensive linemen, coachability and the ability above the shoulders cognitively to figure stuff out quick. Like Mahomes figures stuff out really, really quickly. They have rebuilt the old line. They've rebuilt a receiving car. They've had different backs. I mean, it's like this kid is above the shoulders, Mahomes. You can throw anything at him, rebuild anything.

picks it up like that. That's a big part of this sport that we never talk about. Fun to watch him. I'm sure it helps that he has Andy Reed in his corner. That does not hurt. Justin Herbert's picking up everything. And you look at his OC and the guy's like, ooh, not to slam the kid Lombardi.

They got a tough one against the Chargers this week. There's some scuttle butt that maybe Keenan Allen is back, but I've been hearing that for like two months. Mike Williams and Keenan, I believe, are both practicing. That's what I read yesterday. Yeah, Mike Williams, that would surprise me, but a lot of money coming in on the Chargers against the Chiefs. Next up, Justin Jefferson, quickly becoming one of the best receivers in the league. over a thousand yards in each of his first three seasons. Cowboys have a tough task trying to slow him down.

Mike McCarthy said he's not surprised that Justin Jefferson's already the goat. I love the way the guy play. I like guys that can play inside and outside, you know, and they do something else too. Like, see that you can put him in the backfield. In Jefferson, Destro in high school, I mean, I just know the kid's background, multi-sport athlete, you know, I'm not surprised at all. He's having the success that he's having.

So we were very, very impressed with him. He's one of those guys you sit there and hope, you know, because, you know, after you draft the CD, you're hoping he falls a little bit, so you can try to have a chance to go up and get him to, but I don't see that last long. Now, CD's pretty good, too, by the way, but I think CD's more, CD's not earlier classic sideline guy, maybe not, more inside guy? He's dominant in the slot. So we got a great stat here.

Justin Jefferson, most games with 100 or more receiving yards in the first three seasons. Colin, look at that. number one in the history of football. And he's still got like, what, two-thirds of a season left here? Or maybe one-third of a season left with the Vikings? He is unstoppable. Do you have Trayvon Diggs follow him around, slot outside? What's the move if you're down?

Well, in our lifetime going forward, if the rules remain the same, it's quite possible we will never have another bad, wide-receiving class out of college football. I mean, seriously, because the way the sport is now played, and by the way, they're not only coming into the NFL good, They're good instantly. Like many of them are good instantly. So there's a corner shortage in football. You ask any GM.

You're dying to find a second great corner. I mean, you start looking at Cincinnati and you start looking at some of these teams. If Chris Godwin could stay healthy, it's Mike Evans, it's Chris Godwin. They have an old Julio Jones. There is so much wide receiving talent in football today. It's insane. Even at the college level, USC. I got like four different guys I like in college.

The best defense for Justin Jefferson is getting to Kirk Cousins. And the big injury, you're not going to talk about this. A lot of shows aren't going to mention it, but Christian Daryasau, the left tackle for the Vikings, who's been unbelievable. Pro football focus has graded him now. It's the number one tackle in football. Got a concussion against Buffalo. If he's not able to go against Micah Parsons, it's going to be a long afternoon for Kurt Couss.

Just keep an eye on that injury with Derisow. That kid's been incredible. Virginia Tech guy. Oh, no, no, he's been terrific. Yeah, and Micah Parsons is coming off the worst game of his career. zero pressures against Green Bay. Micah Parsons, Cowboys. I think we're going to probably pick that game tomorrow, right?

That's one of my picks. Indeed. Okay, final story. Oh, how about this? The weather forecast in Buffalo. You love talking about the sunny and 65, 70 out here in L.A. Buffalo is calling for a snowstorm, the magnitude of which I don't think we've seen in a couple years.

They're multiple feet of snow, Colin, being called for in Buffalo. Over the next few days, it's unclear if there will be snow falling. on Sunday during the game, but bottom line, it's going to be one of those games where it looks cool. Like, listen, that looks cool to me, Colin? I want no part of it. I do not like this. I'm sorry, but Nick Chubb, ground game, the O line for the Browns on the interior is fantastic.

This weather is the Cleveland Brown's best friend. You watch them because the Brown's guard, center guard are unbelievable. Chubb's unbelievable. Just slow it down, eat the clock, pound the football, 45 runs. The total has gone down by like six or seven points. What's the total? I think I saw 42 this morning. I'd bet the under.

Under? Oh, I think it's going to, yeah, I mean, I just think there's limitations. If it's windy. Well, that's the key. You kind of got to wait on that. You know, we don't know if the wind, the snow, the Buffalo Lake Effect stuff. Listen, I'm not a big snow guy, Colin.

They're at Lambo. Aaron Rogers, though, is currently 10th in passerating in the league. And 25th in QBR, quarterback rating. He's still very talented, still throws a really pretty ball. But let's be honest. lacks the horsepower of Josh Allen. He's not the playmaker of Lamar Jackson. He's not as coachable or talented as Patrick Mahomes.

I don't think he's as accurate anymore as Tua or Burrow and certainly doesn't play with the guts of Herbert or Burrow willing to throw it down the field at any time, anywhere. I wonder, is Aaron a little bit, and hear me out here, becoming the antique store? You've gone to an antique store before with your wife, your girlfriend, and you're like, oh, look at that. That is awesome. That is so historic.

Should we buy it? And your wife says, well, it doesn't really fit. Where are we going to put it? It's awesome. I like looking at it. But Aaron Rogers now is really expensive and is not really totally committed in the off season and keeps talking about retirement. And we all know this.

isn't even a shot. I'd tell him if he was here. It can be a little prickly. The last three years, the NFL has given us some really talented quarterbacks. Burrow, looks like Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields are just too good not to work. We've got Jalen Hertz, Herbert, Joe Burrow. A lot of these guys are coming in and what do they all have in common? They're cheap.

They're completely committed in the offseason. they're not prickly. You can surround them with a lot of talent. Aaron's paid 50 large a year, 50 million. It's like one of the top cap hits in the league. Tom Brady avoided becoming the antique store because he's always been incredibly committed in the offseason and connected to young teammates.

And because he doesn't want to be the highest paid player at any time in the league. But we've all gone to that antique store. They're fun. You bang around. them for an hour, you're like, man, that is cool, that is awesome, that is great, that is historic. Yeah, they don't really fit. Think he wins tonight, should win tonight, but you start looking around at this league and you start looking around what's happening.

I said this the other day. For crappy NFL teams, here is the good news, is that college football now looks more like the NFL than ever before. You go back on YouTube and look up 1960s, 70s, and early 80s college. football and some of those goofy offenses they ran. But now college football in the NFL, the coaching, the schemes, they look very similar. And two years ago, we got, we got four or five, six, seven quarterbacks in the last two years that have gone college to pro, and they're going to make it.

And they're going to be stars very quickly. History of the NFL, it averages about one quarterback a year, goes. college to pro and is a star franchise quarterback. Fields looks like he could be. Burrow is. Two of this year is. Herbert is. Trevor Lawrence looks like he will be. A lot of town out there. But once you say give me the most money and once you're not committed totally in the off season, once you start bringing up retirement, it's fun to go to the antique store. How much of that stuff actually fits in your house? I know the history is. cool. I know it's awesome. Would you want it in your house? Would you want it on your team?

about USC and LSU. When they get the right coach, they're very good instantly. They're great eventually. And now with the transfer portal, it has allowed LSU and USC to be super viable year one. Even Pete Carroll at USC

was six and six his first year. But you didn't have a transfer portal. and even Nick Saban first year at LSU. He wasn't as good as Brian Kelly. So now when you get these like football factories like LSU and USC, and you get the transfer portal, which by the way, in 20 days that opens up, the second transfer portal,

now you just have jet fuel to LSU, jet fuel to USC. You can bring in 25 new players, and they're all ready to. play. They've already had other programs. So LSU and USC that the transfer portal makes those rebuilding jobs at that top six or seven programs. It's not a three-year

process. As Joel Klatt said yesterday, it is a one-off season process. USC and LSC are really good. Next year they'll both be great. If you put Colin the PAC 12 and the Big Ten next to each other and look at like the top 10 teams, thanks to the transfer portal, I'm telling you this is truth.

The PAC 12 is better and deeper than the Big Ten. So the PAC 12 is now the second best conference at America this year. And the transfer portal. UCLA leading on it heavy. USC leaned on it heavy. Arizona. Arizona heavy.

Washington got their star quarterback. No, I mean, it literally turned around three or four programs in the PAC 12. Coaches in the PAC 12 much stronger. Like, it's happened quickly. I'm not a knock on the Big Ten, but the Pac-12 is loaded this year. It is. Of course, USC and UCLA are leaving it very quickly to go to the Big Ten.
