This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey, guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy. Not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel. Help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.
Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, I'm Deanna Maria Riva, and on my new podcast, How Hard Can It Be?
I call on my Gen X squad from Ohio to Hollywood as we navigate Midlife's most fantastic BS.
Unfiltered conversations from night sweats to futas to scheduling sex.
Wait, what sex?
Is it just me, or does every woman my age want to look at Pinterest instead of having sex sometimes?
They say we can't polish a turn, but we're sure going to try.
So let's get blunt with love.
laughs, tears, or tears of laughter.
Listen to How Hard Can It Be with Gianna Maria Riva
on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano.
It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast point game, the playoffs.
We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season.
And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments.
If we didn't talk ever again, I was crying.
You just understood.
That's how personal it got.
Wow.
Then after that game seven, Marquis come in to you, he's like, you know I love you, dog.
You know, it's all love.
This was just playoffs.
This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Thanks for listening to The Heard Podcast.

Now let's get this party started
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio
Oh yeah, it's the herd
Fox Sports Radio
LaVar Arington
Brady Quinn
Jonas Knox with you here
Filling it on this Wednesday
for Colin and company
As we take you
All the way off
Trying to breathe through it
What that body shot from Brady
I can't believe he took a shot at me
That was real low
I just said he was bad at picking
plays rough man
I mean, that one, you're going to hit me with Pell at the end.
I just, I didn't really know what you're expecting.
I mean, the Brady I know from Thursday in New Orleans would not have done that to me.
He would not have gone that low.
That was pretty low.
That was ankle.
I'm trying to be a dual threat quarterback.
That's all.
That was all I'm trying to do.
That was more than a dual.
That was like multi-dimensional threat.
That was bad.
Okay.
You know, anyway?
You know it was a dual-threat quarterback?
Oh, who, Justin Fields.
I thought you was going to say Jonas Knox.
No, definitely not.
I mean, y'all kind of comparable.
Me and Justin Fields?
I wish.
But unfortunately, Justin Fields, you know,
maybe the Pittsburgh Steelers aren't the only place
that might have some interest in retaining him.
According to Jeremy Fowler v.SPN,
the Jets and Justin Fields have mutual interest.
The Jets like the idea of, quote,
a dual threat quarterback.
and Fields has looked at the roster
and sees some intrigue there.
So, if this is a long-term play,
I kind of get it.
If it's just a short-term play,
I don't know how this is a better option
than Aaron Rogers would be on a short-term.
I just don't.
No, I mean, I look at it, too, and think to myself,
again, I've said this to you guys earlier this week.
I like continuity.
So if you're Pittsburgh, for example,
you know, you know Arthur Smith's system, if you're Justin Fields, you know the personnel.
Your best bet is to try to, you know, win over that team to be the guy and be a part of a franchise that's had a ton of success.
And with a coach who's had a ton of success with Mike Tomlin, to me, like that's your best path forward in trying to resurrect and being a starting quarterback in the NFL.
When you start jumping from team to team to team, they're all looking for a quick fix.
And it's so rare that it happens, and it's so rare that, you know, guys have the talent and the ability.
And there's some luck involved.
Like, let's be honest, there's some luck involved.
I don't care if we're talking about Hall of Famers either when they've transitioned from different teams.
There's always a little bit of luck involved so that it ends up working out.
I mean, if you think about Peyton, like Peyton was coming off a neck injury.
That's why the Colts moved on from them.
They ended up stinking that year to go get Andrew Luck.
but when he got to Denver, there was no guarantees he was going to be able to physically be the same player that he was.
He had a perfect team. Greek, who's the trainer there, Greg Roscoff, who does M-A-T, all these other people who were around.
Dr. Leahy did ART.
There were so many different resources there with the Broncos that if he was going to have like any shot of ever being what he was during Indianapolis before the next surgeries, that team, that roster, everything else was there probably gave him the best.
shot. And I think he knew that. So, you know, there's, there's a little bit of luck. There's a little
bit of, you know, everything else that went along with that eventually led to him, you know, winning
into the Super Bowl playing an extremely high level. But in regards to Justin Fields, the grass can
always look greener somewhere else. I mean, look at the roster, look at some of the town on there.
Okay. Well, what do you know about the offense? What do you know about the play caller?
You know, do you have any experience with that? Do you want to learn a new system? So there's so
many things that play a factor or role in that. And I think what's interesting about it is,
you know, Arthur Smith likes having a dual threat style quarterback. Well, you've got your guy right
there. Because in the same report where we're saying Justin Fields likes the Jets, meanwhile,
he's just spent a year with the Pittsburgh Steelers, there's another report that comes out and says,
well, Daniel Jones looks like he could be a fit in Pittsburgh. And they really like him. Why?
Well, because he's got some dual threat ability to him, right? And Arthur Smith likes that.
It's like, you've got a guy there. Like, would you rather have Daniel Jones or
Justin Fields. I personally would rather have Justin Fields. To me, I don't care when
anyone wants to show with Danny Dimes. I think Fields has more upside. So it's just, it's kind of
ironic that we hear all these reports, things floating around. And it's like musical chairs of
quarterbacks. But like, dude, just stay put. Like grow in the place you're at me. I keep watering
that area, that garden. Yeah, that one doesn't make any sense to me. The, uh, and that was
Andrew Philiponi's report from the fan in Pittsburgh who said, yeah, they, they like
the idea of Daniel Jones in Pittsburgh.
I just, I don't know why if you've already got to your point, a guy in Justin Fields
who's been there who reportedly, if you believe some of the other stuff that's come out,
there were a lot of people there that preferred him over Russell Wilson, that it was Mike Tomlin
who ultimately made the call, but a lot of people that wanted to see them stick with Justin
Fields at quarterback last year.
He got along much better with Arthur Smith than Russell Wilson did.
Why not just stay there?
And instead, we got the Jets being thrown out,
Daniel Jones being mentioned in Pittsburgh.
It just, some of these just don't add up to me.
It doesn't make sense.
I'll say Justin Fields was protecting the ball
and his starts for the Steelers.
I think he only had one interception during his time starting.
But there maybe were only one or two,
performances where you would say
do you
trust that he can come in
and be the guy that
leads your offense?
Is it
a decision
that you make bringing him into
New York where you do
say it is your
personnel that would make it
easier on him? You do have a
breeze hall in the backfield that can run the
that could take a lot of pressure off of Justin Fields having to throw the ball.
And by the way, if you're able to implement the type of read pass option like you've done in Philadelphia,
I mean, having Lazard and Wilson, I doubt Adams will be back, but you never know.
Maybe he comes back.
but you do have a really, really fine group of receivers
and a fine running back in Brees and New York.
I do think personnel-wise,
Justin Fields, if used correctly,
would have a better opportunity of having more success than what he would.
In Pittsburgh, where I like Najee,
I like Najee Davenport, or Najee Harris,
but I just do not feel as,
though he's that difference maker that we thought he would transition into being into at the league level.
We have the conversations about pickings.
You know, the other guys, you got Van Jefferson, Roman Wilson, Mike Williams.
I mean, you have guys that are serviceable guys.
Friermouth is a guy at tight end.
You can depend on Friamuth, but I just don't look at this personnel grouping as one that was conducive to,
Russell Wilson or or Justin feels having having proper success or adequate opportunities to have success.
So to me, I know it's not always greener on the other side and you do have one year under your belt being in Pittsburgh.
But if I could get to a team like New York and they're going to take a chance on me, this is probably his last chance to really legitimately be a starter in this league anyway outside of any type of.
extraordinary circumstances,
I might take the chance
on seeing what I could get done
going into the New York market
and plan there
with that personnel.
I mean, Pittsburgh just feels like
they're Dallas AFC.
They'll be
contending for a playoff spot,
and that's just about it.
There's no serious threat
that they're going to make a run.
In that division, in that conference,
there's just no real threat
they're going to make a run.
You don't have a quarterback.
If you're questioning,
who your quarterback is right now,
how do you have the ability to compete for it
in one of the toughest, if not toughest divisions in all of the NFL?
I mean, this is going to be three straight years Pittsburgh
is going into the season with a brand new starter.
Like it's, you know, it was Kenny Pickett,
then it was Russell Wilson, Justin Fields,
whatever last year was, and then this year it looks like,
you know, if you believe this report,
if it's not going to be Russell Wilson, if he's gone,
then there goes your continuity out the window
because you've got a new quarterback
that's going to be taken over.
Pittsburgh just feels like a pass.
I just don't know what that continuity is led to.
And now I think that again,
I thought that the seat was warming up
for Mike Tomlin this past season.
I think it gets really, really hot
if they don't have more success this season,
which is crazy to say, because what's more success,
they win and they make it to the playoffs,
but I just think that winning and playoffs may have run its course
in terms of a justification for Mike Tomlin as a head coach.
And there's now starting to be a little bit more criticisms levied towards Mike Tomlin
and his ability to lead this team, what that looks like moving forward.
And I got to say, maybe even as an analyst or maybe even as a fan,
I don't know which one falls under, but I almost feel like it's getting to the point where it's warranted.
Like, you got to find stability and what it is that you're doing.
I thought it was an interesting...
Oh, you want him fired.
No, I don't.
I thought I thought it was...
Can we run with that, Lee, on Twitter?
I thought it was an interesting, an interesting experiment to do what you did with Justin Fields and Russell Wilson.
But I also, in some regard, I feel as though you chopped out the legs from under both of the
of them in this scenario.
I don't know that either one of them had a fair opportunity to be successful under the
circumstances of knowing that you brought in a former starter from a different team and
you guys are on prove-it deals this year.
I just don't know.
And it didn't turn out that it was positive.
I mean, they didn't go very far.
So I don't know.
I think the hot seat is, the seat is hot this year for Mike Tomlin.
It feels like teams hedge.
And in this case, that was essentially what they did by bringing them both in.
Even though, I mean, all along it sounded like Mike Tomlin knew Russell would be the guy when he was ready.
And then he had the calf injury, which occurred what in preseason, like late in training camp.
Yeah.
And at that point, especially when you could see him kind of out moving around for some of the pregame warmups.
Like I remember first seeing him going, like there's no way he's anywhere close to playing at this point.
I mean, it was going to be at least a month, if not more.
and it happened to coincide with maybe a downturn for the Steelers
and what they're looking for, an uptick in their offense.
And look, it worked.
I mean, say whatever you want for that period of time
when Russell Wilson came in and started.
All of a sudden, the deep ball came back,
as Pete Priscoe would call it, the moonball,
whatever he wants to say, it's effective.
And it felt like he gave that offense and that team a spark.
Now, that crashed at the end of the season.
And for whatever reason, I mean, again,
there was other reasons other than just quarterback play.
You know, pick and struggle.
to consistently play a role and impact like I think he can.
But when you go back to the initial conversation,
it's almost like going into the whole deal.
They were trying to attack it in two ways,
kind of a young, promising guy with upside and fields,
but then a proven veteran and a guy maybe who has a chip on his shoulder,
who they could get for cheap as well.
Instead of just putting all their eggs in one basket,
they kind of hedged on it,
and it's kind of how their season went, really, in a nutshell.
Would you guys take wherever Aaron,
Rogers ends up
because obviously part of the discussion was the Jets
and them have an interest in Justin Fields
would you guys take next year
team to finish with a better record
the Jets or
whatever team Rogers ends up with
because I'll take whatever team Rogers
ends up with
that's not saying that
Aaron Rogers is going to start where he goes
if he's a starter
would you next year
who's a better team yeah
Rogers wherever Rogers goes
because the Jets may be interested in Justin Fields.
I know this one fact about the Jets.
Whatever decision they make is going to be the wrong one.
That's what's funny about this, though, is LeVar in a year where like you get Rogers back healthy,
they have another year to make the roster look better, this team brings on Devante Adams.
At no point did LeVar ever want to get on that bandwagon because he kept preaching dysfunction,
he was right. He was right. Ultimately, he was right.
but now you're actually pausing and giving this some thought
that somehow the jets
have ridded themselves
of the dysfunction that you talked about for so long
and they don't even have a quarterback
I'll say this I do not rid them of the dysfunction
they were a 5 and 12 team
I said they would finish less than 10 victories
I think they finished with less than 10 victories
this upcoming season as well
but there's the chance that they may
that Aaron Rogers may catch on to a team that is in just as poor condition as, well, the way the Jets are being ran.
That's all I'm saying.
I don't necessarily think that it's based upon the Jets ridding themselves of anything.
I think Aaron Glenn has his work cut out for them for certain.
But there are teams out there that he can end up with.
that could possibly be in poor condition, poor conditions,
then the New York Jets.
I'll tell you this right now.
Tennessee is one of the worst teams in the league.
If Rogers ended up with the Titans,
I would take the Titans to have a better record next year in the Jets.
See, I don't.
There's certain teams.
I'm just not.
I'm not.
It's like we're on escalators in a mall,
and Brady and I are going in your direction going,
hey, we're here, and you're going the other way now.
Like, what's happening here?
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry. I don't think that it's responsible to say that they're going like whoever you're taking.
I think the Cleveland Browns could stink again next year, stink even more epically than what they did this year.
By the Rogers on Cleveland would be sweet.
I think New England could stink even though I like.
I like Rable. They could stink definitely Jacksonville.
They could stink really bad.
The Vegas Rams.
They could stink or the Vegas Raiders.
They could stink.
I mean, the Carolina Panthers could stink.
Any team in the NFL.
I'm not.
I'm not.
Any teams outside of the top 10 teams picking in the draft, the Chicago Bears on down,
I would say they stand the chance of having a worse season than the New York Jets.
Yeah.
I will take that bet.
Now, anybody outside of that first 10?
Yeah, I'll take them.
I'll say they'll have a better year with Aaron Rogers.
but like, okay, Sam Fran,
they could have a really, really fine year.
They add Aaron Rogers.
Where else are you adding Aaron Rogers?
The Colts, they could have a finer year, 100%.
Where else is he going?
Where else?
Where else?
I mean, where else is he going?
Pittsburgh is a potential landing spot.
Pittsburgh would have a better year.
Some speculation maybe if Stafford and the Rams part ways,
maybe Rogers to the Rams could be.
They would have a better year.
Now, that's more.
specific and they would have a better season. I'm saying I don't care who it is. It could be
the stampeters. No, I ain't doing that. I'll take Rogers. I'm not doing that. You took Rogers this
year. Yeah. Yeah. That's right. Okay. And look where it got us. Five wins. Look where it got us in a
United States. Do you want to use Notre Dame now too? Because I'm going at you. Yeah,
you want to leverage Notre Dame. Let me tell you something. Our support of Aaron Rogers got us
got us in a Netflix documentary, okay? Well, that is true. Not us. I mean, you,
Yeah, that is true.
You're really, I mean, no one really knows that until you bring it up.
Episode three.
Enigma.
What exactly did you say, Jonas?
I guarantee you'll know the quote.
I really don't.
I don't know.
It was something about him working out and the criticism of Rogers.
Mushrooms and keyboard.
Who did you pay off to somehow include yourself as part of that documentary?
I didn't even know.
And nobody told.
There was something that happened.
There had to have been some.
favors that were done or something.
I mean, I will say this, where he was working out, the facility he was working out in,
was in Westlake Village, which is the neighboring town to Thousand Oaks where I reside.
So just, I think it's just coincidence, but I think the support of Aaron Rogers from us has
gotten us in a Netflix documentary, which we, that should be thrown on the IMDB.
Lee, your big, speaking of that, didn't you say like you started like an adult film somewhere
around there and then you segue it into sports talk radio yeah with big difference between chatsworth
and then westlake village like there's a huge difference um and i don't know if any of that work
uh would be included in an i mdb either i thought you had to start at like one level or one
no side of that work and then you get to go to the other side eventually is that what it is yeah
that's what you told me yeah okay here's all right let me go ahead you we'll toss up the alley hoop i was part of the
clean up crew and then we'll go is that we start there and we just slowly build that's where the
resume started and Chasworth.
All right.
This is just, again, this is the
unprofessionalism that really
is troubling from time to time.
Lee, you're one of these loser
Hollywood movie fans.
Thank you. Yes.
With the Oscars coming up,
which will be eating up
way too much time on our show during the week
in our normal time slot.
But IMDB,
can you go in there and edit it yourself?
Like, can you create one by
yourself? Is it like a Wikipedia or
is that? Because I would like to go in there and
everybody from our show be able to credit Enigma on Netflix as part of our IMDB page.
There is a process where you create your own IMDB profile and then you get approved by
the administrators and they let you work on certain projects. They let you edit your
page. See? All right. There you go. So let's start efforting that. Get an IMDB boys.
I'm working on it. I mean, Brady's and Wendy's commercials. Lovar was in a car commercial,
a famous car commercial back in the day.
You do?
You got one?
Yeah, I have a page.
Hell yeah.
Yeah, I have a page.
Birthplace, Stick City.
What movie?
The Gentleman's League,
WWE Raw,
NFL Monday Night Football,
NFL on Fox.
I'll kick the covers.
I'll make it on that.
I don't know.
I guess I've done a lot of things.
That's when we were,
we didn't have our name.
We were filling in for,
for Clay Travis
when they were making the decision
on the permanent replacement for the show.
I think that's what that was from.
Oh, okay.
Maybe that's what it was.
What does it say there?
We ended up taking it.
It doesn't have Jonas Knox on there, though.
Undercard for the Jonas Knox show right there.
That says 2021.
We've been together that long?
Undercard for the J.K.S.
Right there.
It doesn't say that.
It's been a long time.
It doesn't say that.
Yeah, so to the foolish dude that
tweeted yesterday that I had to turn out of us off.
I don't like...
to know her, but I definitely didn't like listen to those guys.
You can kiss my ass.
Your son, bitch.
Kiss my ass.
All right.
Thank you.
All right.
Okay.
That is not a dumpable offense either, by the way.
I know my rules.
I mean, I tow my line.
I know my rules.
And he is that.
Ryan and they are just trying to hold their breath for three hours after what Ryan did before the show in the other studio.
Well, he likes toss salads with jelly.
A salad with jelly.
I use ranch, sir.
Apparently, Chris Rock does.
I'm going to.
It is The Herd here on Fox Sports Radio, LeVarayerington, Brady, Quinn, Jonas Knox, in for Colin.
Coming up next year, though, we do have a money-making opportunity, potentially in the NFL involving two new coaches.
We'll get into that for you right here on FSR.
One more herd?
The herd streams 24 hours.
hours a day, seven days a week within the IHeart radio app.
Search heard to listen live or on demand whenever you'd like.
Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember
I think it was on a call about what we should call it
And we were thinking
I'm originally calling it
One of the early names of our band
Before Jonas Brothers
This is how you guys remember it going down
Yes I have a very different memory of this
We were talking about a thing
A bit for the podcast
For people could call in and say hey Jonas
And then I wrote down on my little notepad
Hey Jonas and offered it up as a potential title
For the podcast
But thanks for remembering that
guys listen to hey jonas on the iheart radio app apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcast just listen
we don't care where you hear it another podcast from some s nl late night comedy guy not quite
unhumored me with robert smigel and friends me and hilarious guests from bob odenkirk to david
letterman help make you funnier this week my guess s n l's mikey day and head writer streeter sidel
help an acapella band with their between songs banter where does your group perform we do some
retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever
you get your podcasts.
What's up, fam?
It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves, I gather.
manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the
lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nasree.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He run up the court, licking his fingers, why he got the ball like.
After you go through a training camp with that, I said, you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, I'm Deanna Maria Riva, actress, mother, lover, and a Gen X woman walking through life one hot flash and hormonal crying jag at a time.
You ladies know what I mean.
I'll bet you a paramed impassal chin here you do.
So let's talk about it.
Join me on my new podcast.
How Hard Can It Be with Deanna Maria Riva, where I call on my job.
Gen X squads from Ohio to Hollywood as we navigate Midlife's most fantastic BS.
All of a sudden, I'd had hanginess happening on my own.
I was like, what the hell is that?
I was married when I had her, so I didn't even consider how empty that nest was going to be.
Mood swings, night sweats, fupas, sex drive.
Wait, what sex?
Dating at 45. How can it be getting naked at 50 with the new guy?
That one's kind of hard.
Well, that's lighting.
They say we can't polish a turd, but we're sure going to try.
So let's get blunt with laughs, tears or tears of laughter,
and dive into it unfiltered and unbothered and ask,
How Hard Can It Be?
I cannot believe I'm about to say this out loud in public.
Listen to How Hard Can It Be with Diana Maria Riva
as part of my Cultura podcast network available on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
It is the herd here on Fox Sports Radio.
LeVar Earrington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you,
in for Colin. Coming up here a little over 15
minutes from now. We will have another
edition of the Heard Line News starring
Lee DeLap, who
is yet to give us any information
about exactly
how yesterday went. It was a big day
for Lee to Laugh, and apparently it's going to be
a big day for one of the greatest of all time.
He could be on his way to the NFL.
So we've got some details for you on that.
Now, you can go
on to a fine
establishment, a fine place like
Draft Kings, if you want.
You can go on there and you can find all sorts of peaks into the future when it comes to money-making opportunities.
Like, for example, to win the MVP next year, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, neck-and-neck at plus 550.
If you want to look at comeback player of the year, Aidan Hutchinson at 2-1 coming off that injury,
Christian McCaffrey sitting at 3-1, and then he can also go to Coach of the Year.
For right now, Mike Vrable and Ben Johnson are your current.
favorites at plus
750 to win coach of the year,
which feels like
pretty decent
return, Mike Vrable and Ben Johnson.
It feels like a pretty decent
return at plus 750
if you think those guys are going to be the answer
to fixing whatever the mess was there
in either New England or Chicago,
and they've got the young quarterback to do so.
You might want to jump on that here pretty quick.
This was going to be my question.
Is this more about
the faith in Nemis coaches
to get both these teams turn back around.
Or does it have to do with their roster
or more importantly, their quarterbacks?
Because they both have young quarterbacks,
promising young quarterbacks.
And that's what I really feel like this is about.
This is about Drake May, Caleb Williams,
taking that next step in their second year
based off what we've seen so far in their rookie years
and having that sort of improvement.
Where you look at Jay Daniels season,
had a great season.
Obviously, there's still room for improvement.
But, you know, Drake May and Caleb Williams
if they improve, you know, they've got a little more room for improvement.
So it would look like a bigger jump, I guess.
And that's what I think these odds are about.
It's more about the quarterback play on both those teams,
more so than it is anything that Mike Vrable or Ben Johnson will do.
And I think the other thing, too, on that note,
is that it's a bit unfair that, like, guys like Andy Reid and Siriani,
who you'd say, okay, like, Siani's got,
they've got some guys who they'll lose,
but they've built up rosters,
how he Rosasman's done a great job.
they'll be right back competitive,
probably the favorite to win the Super Bowl,
or the favorite to win the NFC.
Same thing for Kansas City.
And yet you don't hear Andy Reid
and Nick Surinati's names at the top of these lists.
And that doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Yeah, I agree.
I don't.
I do, to answer the question,
I definitely think it has to do with both.
The biggest factors are they do have
a franchise caliber, high drafty quarterback,
but it's also the coaching
reputation of both that makes them front runners in this scenario.
But I just got to be honest with you.
When you look at these teams and what they have, like, okay, I like, I like what the
Chicago Bears have.
Caleb Williams did not have a bad season.
I continue to say that.
It's almost like we're looking at Caleb and it's like, well,
you know, he could have done better.
Like, I don't know how he could have done much better.
His numbers are very comparable to Jaden Daniels,
who won rookie of the year, offense rookie of the year.
He's off on a couple, like maybe total yards or whatever it may be.
But, I mean, I feel like his stat line was pretty solid.
He set a record.
I mean, he threw for the most yards ever for, what, a rookie quarterback?
and Beard's history?
I just, you know, well, I mean, that's not.
That's not saying much.
It's like, you know, well, he threw for a lot of yards,
but I just don't, I just don't think that it gets these situations
that these two franchises have found themselves in.
I don't think the situation gets rectified in year one by either one of these coaches,
no matter how good they are, no matter how good Mike Vrable has been,
No matter how good Ben Johnson has called games,
that's not, you're not going to be in the same situation.
Even though you're in the same division,
you're not going to be in the same setup that you were
when you had the comfort and ability to just call plays in Detroit.
But to be coach of the year,
there's also kind of an underlying prerequisite for the most part.
Like, you had to have sucked the year before.
And New England and Chicago both qualified.
They were bad the year before.
They just fired their previous coach.
And so those guys stepping into a roster with talented quarterbacks and with, you know, talented pieces around them.
Yeah, that's why it would make sense.
Because if you really wanted to hand the award out for best coach, like, I mean, you could find coaches who had made deep playoff runs.
Like, Stefanski won it twice.
Well, he won it twice because the year prior they weren't good.
And so I just, I feel like the coach of the year off.
is kind of skewed towards, yeah, to Brady's point,
like it's a team that wasn't very good,
and often the guys, because of it's,
you're just used to it or you've got fatigue by it,
are kind of overlooked,
because if that was the case,
Belichick should have won it 15 times
during his run of New England.
Well, yeah, but that's the problem when you have Tom Brady
or if you're Andy Reid and you have Patrick Mahomes,
is you never really get all the credit, right?
I mean, those players can win MVP's,
those players can win, you know,
offensive player of the year awards.
But you can't share in that as a coach?
Like that's kind of the crappy thing about it.
And I think it's kind of like Phil Jackson.
Like Phil Jackson is obviously a phenomenal coach.
And he is because of the success that he's had,
but granted he's had some of the all-time greatest ever,
obviously Jordan, Kobe, etc.
But it's not like that's easy to keep all that together.
You know, all the different egos, everything else that we heard.
That's a harder job, I would have said.
Yeah.
I'm all thinking about it.
I mean, even Steve Kerr was the different, you know,
that they had in Golden State
and the different person
he had on that team.
Just because you've got all those weapons,
all that talent, all that skill,
that doesn't mean they're all going to be able
to put it together
to be able to equate to success.
And there is something to the coach's impact on that.
So I don't know,
I just,
I hate when I see odds like that that come out.
And immediately we just kind of point and turn to,
well, their team stunk last year.
They've got young quarterbacks.
They just took over these places.
So they should see the biggest jump in improvement.
It's like, well,
Okay. I mean, oh, we're just going to discount then teams that end up going, what, 15 and 2?
Or a team that goes 16 and 1, right? I mean, we wanted to give it to Dan Campbell.
He should have got it this year. I mean, let's be clear. Dan Campbell, with what he overcame to get to where he was ultimately at, one game away from the divisional championship with all the injuries.
I thought it was hands down that Dan Campbell should get it. Now, I get what happened in Minnesota was amazing. I get that. I get that.
getting a couple other places is amazing.
But Dan Campbell clearly showed a resiliency as a coach,
the ability to be able to be flexible and adapt to what his given scenarios were as a coach.
And what?
He doesn't get it.
I just don't understand again.
The whole of the year awards, I'm totally thrown off and confused by the approach of it,
by what the voters are looking for and what they want.
I guess the point
what I'm saying is
it doesn't go both ways.
We don't look at the MVP and go,
he's got a hell of a coach.
I mean, should we really,
should we really,
you know,
be thinking about that?
But we look at a coach that way.
And maybe you say it's like,
well,
because, you know,
the coach is the one
that's going to receive the most,
you know,
I guess appreciation from the talent
that he has around.
That's fine,
but he still plays his role too.
Just on the note of odds
that you can find
for these awards on draft kings,
just like honest question
for a comeback player
of the year
why is J.J. McCarthy on the list
at plus 750
he hasn't played yet
in the NFL.
Like he's never took a snap.
So what is like coming back from what?
Well he's on a team. He got hurt
and he did play in the preseason technically.
Yeah but he never played a regular season game.
He's battling through not playing, Jonas.
Okay.
That's what he's battling.
Anthony Richardson at 35.
to one. What's he coming back from?
Taking a knee and opting out of a game?
Yeah, I thought out of some
seriousness, but yeah.
I just, like, I don't know.
There's just, yeah, some of this stuff doesn't exactly.
There needs to be more of a defined
a defined
criteria for whatever that is.
Well, you want. For comeback player of the year.
I think for any of them. It's too great.
I think for any of them. Which ought to tell you
how great Joe Flacco was, that he
won over Damar Hamlin, who almost
died on the field.
the year before.
DeMarne Hamelin was still up for the award this year, correct?
Probably.
I think he was.
Come on, man.
Like, when has enough time going by?
Will he be up for next year?
Residuals, you know?
Come on, man.
Jeez.
Come on.
I don't know, man.
Because the whole awards, I told you, my whole rundown on the awards this year was
trash, man.
The awards were trash this year, period.
All I know is Lee DeLap and I walked by where they were having the awards at that theater in New Orleans.
And it was, I think, two days before the event.
And they looked like they were not ready to go at all.
Like they had scaffolding out.
You had people loitering outside.
People sleeping on the streets in New Orleans.
Beautiful place, though.
Let's not miss the real story.
What was Lee drinking with them while you guys were walking by the venue?
That was actually after we went to hand grenade?
No.
Did you have hand grenade?
No, nothing at all.
because remember we went to dinner that night
at the Italian place
where we saw Howie Roseman,
what the hell was that name?
Domenica.
Yeah, that too.
Wait, I thought you said
you didn't go out with him after that.
No, we went back.
No, we walked back to go see that church
that was nearby.
There was a church nearby.
I wanted to go see it.
So we walked over around the corner
and then as we walked back,
it was like, oh, there's that theater
where they're going to have the award show
and it was not built.
The bigger story here is what Lee is doing
in the control room right now.
That is the bigger.
store. Payback from yesterday. Oh,
payback from yesterday. He's going a little overboard.
Okay, I got to be honest. Hey, man.
What did you eat?
Dang.
Mess with the bowl, you're going to get the horns. Oh, wow.
Welcome to the big leagues, Brian.
I mean, there is a lot of suffering going. Like half the Lysol can is gone now.
You know, it's bad when you can't take your own cologne, your own scent.
You need a man pawn. That's what you need.
Dang.
Dang.
It's bad.
back there. Taco Tuesday yesterday.
Lee will get flagellants
of the year award. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah, that helped.
You did get banked up yesterday, huh? I did
a little bit. With Todd.
Yeah. How'd that go? Tell us how that went.
Well, good. We went for Taco Tuesday. I skipped
the movie because I had already seen it. They went to go see Captain
America. And then, which was awful,
by the way. And...
Well, that wasn't actually... Good for you, Lee.
Why was it awful, Lee? Lee, why was it awful? Yeah.
Oh. Did that the new one?
Yeah. With Anthony Mackey? Why? Because Captain America, what?
Why?
It's boring.
Oh, he was boring.
A different B word.
What else is he?
What else is he?
He's black.
Damn.
He's black.
He is black.
Yeah.
It's also boring, humorless.
It was bad movie.
It was Captain America.
So wait.
Yeah, you went to Captain America for a comedy?
Like, what's wrong with you?
It's a Marvel movie.
There should be some comedy in there.
It should be a little bit of lighthearted.
It took itself way too seriously.
Dang.
Why would you watch Captain America?
We watched Captain Morgan for...
How was the Red Hulk?
Right.
Was the Red Hulk good?
in the movie?
Yeah, he was
but he only,
he was five minutes
at the end of the movie, yeah.
Exactly.
But the Red Hulk was good.
It was good.
It was good.
It's not a good movie.
Anyway, yeah, we,
I skipped the movie,
had a few drinks while they went to the movie.
How many rotten tomatoes are you giving it?
50%.
Dang.
Interesting.
Not great.
I actually got up and
I liked that.
When I went and saw it the first time,
I got up and went to go get a drink.
That's how bad it was.
Although I'll do that anyway.
Yeah, the same people
Don't like that movie are the same people that didn't like the Super Bowl halftime show.
They look exactly the same.
Oh, wow.
They're not like us.
They're not like us.
They're not like us.
Dang.
Up top, bro.
Up top.
So Lee, you skipped the movie and you just went to Taco Tuesday and got throttled.
Yeah, it went to Taco Tuesday.
I think we went to an arcade next door afterwards.
Did you fish for ducks?
Stop skipping over what you drank.
Tell us what you consumed.
What did you consume?
When I was out, I did you consume?
When I was out, I just had a few beers, but, you know, I had a few homemade cocktails before I went out.
What do you mean?
What were they?
Vodka.
What are you so hesitant for?
Because there's more people out?
Yeah, it was vodka and grapefruit juice.
Wait, did you black out yesterday?
No.
How many times did Danica call you?
Oh, no.
I'm giving out names.
How many times did you get called about the misses?
My bad.
A couple times.
Like, like twice.
That was it?
Yeah, she was out with...
Like twice?
Twice.
She was out with her girlfriend and she headed back.
So you didn't get calls because she was occupied too.
She thought I was at home.
She's like, are you home?
Nope.
Where did they go?
They went to go see Wicked.
She didn't come find you?
Nope.
She was in bed when I got...
They didn't go to the same movie theater you went to?
Nope.
How far apart were you on?
Well, I didn't go to the theater.
I didn't go to the movie.
Oh.
I don't know.
I don't know which movie they went to.
or what theater they went to.
Wow. So you guys really are on like good terms.
Yeah.
Yeah, good times. Good times.
I give it until Friday.
Whatever.
All right.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to a podcast.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your
podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert
Smigel and Friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, I'm Deanna Maria Riva, actress, mother, lover, and a Gen X woman walking through life,
one hot flash and hormonal crying jag at a time.
You ladies know what I mean.
I'll bet you a perimen apostle chin here you do.
So let's talk about it.
Join me on my new podcast.
How hard can it be with Deanna Maria Riva, where I call on my Gen X squads from Ohio to Hollywood
as we navigate midlife's most fantastic BS.
All of a sudden, I'd had hanginess happening.
my own. I was like, what the hell is that? I was married when I had her, so I didn't even consider
how empty that nest was going to be. Mood swings, night sweats, fupas, sex drive. Wait, what sex?
Dating at 45. How can it be getting naked at 50 with the new guy? That one's kind of hard.
Well, that's lighting. They say we can't polish a turd, but we're sure going to try. So let's
get blunt with laughs, tears, or tears of laughter, and dive into it unfiltered and unbothered and ask,
How hard can it be?
I cannot believe I'm about to say this out loud in public.
Listen to How Hard Can It Be with Diana Maria Riva as part of My Cultura Podcast Network
available on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
His IQ is at a level that we've never.
ever seen before. And he knows. Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs. I think Joker's going to be exhausted
this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like
Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives
us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson,
we dive into some playoff history too. Steve Nass would get that thing. That man.
man, hell get the flying.
He running the court, licking his fingers why he got the ball.
Like, you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
It's the herd Fox Sports Radio, LeVar Arington, Brady Quinn, Jonas Knox with you here.
Coming up top of the next hour, a little over 10 minutes from now.
A fun little chat, fun little visit with our buddy, the old P.
Petros Papadakis, that'll be yours here.
Again, a little over 10 minutes from now
if you've not heard Petros when he's on with us
every single Wednesday morning.
We really don't know where it's going to go,
but the conversation takes several twists and turns,
and next thing you know, you look back and go,
are we allowed to say that?
So Petros will be here again.
Petros knows it.
A little over 10 minutes from now.
He's on top of how outlandish he can be
with the things he says.
I don't know.
I mean, he's been on a long time.
You know who's the worst?
on our show at that?
Who, Jonas?
Me.
No, me by far.
I feel like I've gotten dumped more often than not
for not having any idea what I can and cannot say exactly.
It's not, it's okay.
I mean, you know, Petros really, really does push the envelope.
I mean, it's like- Oh, he does.
It's like playing, like, paper football.
You know how you get the touchdown?
Like, he definitely gets touchdowns with the paper football.
Yeah.
Because this paper would be like over off the edge, you know,
it's touchdown.
Like, boom, touchdown.
Yeah.
Oh, there you go.
That's true.
Well, I do know this.
Can't wait to see that.
You're listening to us now.
Did you know you can also see us?

Just search Fox Sports Radio on YouTube.

No, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the Heard Line News.
All right, Lee to Lab.
What do we got?
Man, I haven't thought about paper football in a while.
It's pretty good.
This is a fun game.
Get a game going.
Guys, Lee, you still gassing things up?
I am. I just let one go.
Dang, he's back there destroying the air.
I'm going to stab you.
Dang.
Dang.
Guys, Floyd, Money-Mayweather Jr.
He wants to get in the NFL business.
He's putting together a partnership group with Meyer Orbach, real estate mogul,
in the realm of $700 million for a 10% stake in the Giants.
Orbach already owns 17% stake in the Timberwolves.
Giants right now estimated to be.
about $7.5 billion.
Yeah, so it looks like they're coming up short, about 10%.
But also, those estimations are such crap.
Because if the New York Giants came on the open market,
they would probably be closer to 8, 9, maybe 10.
I mean, you're talking about the New York Giants,
a team in New York.
You know what I'm saying?
That's the hard thing about all these estimates we see.
We talked about it the other day,
like the Bengals, like a $5 billion franchise.
And that might be a, you know,
a little overestimation, but it's an NFL
team. They're one of, you know, 31,
excuse me, that you can own. You can't own the Packers. They've got a different
ownership structure. But,
one, I would love to see
Floyd Mayweather play a role or part
in an ownership group. That'd be awesome to see
like what exactly that would entail.
How's his strip club doing?
Anybody got any...
Sure, it's going well. Details on that.
But you think that's where he got the cash from?
I don't know. And what you assume it's doing well?
It's a good start.
He's estimated.
to be net worth $400 million, Floyd
maybe we'll agree with him.
I would think that
his gambling habits might also
be a deterrent from wanting him
to be involved in the NFL, but, you know,
hey, whatever
it takes, what else you got, Lee?
Well, somebody who does know a little something about
owning part of a team, Tom Brady, he's taking
heat, being called disrespectful for the change
he's made to his autograph. He started including
HOF 2028
to his autograph.
What's wrong with that? That's an inscription.
That's not a part.
That's not your autograph.
It's just an inscription.
That's what you get paid for that.
Hasn't been, he hasn't been inducted yet.
So what?
If there's somebody, is that the year he goes in?
That will be the year he goes in.
Okay.
So somebody has a problem with that.
That's going to be a more valuable inscription.
Don't be a douche bag.
Jeez.
Like the dude on X today.
Geez.
You're a D bag.
What happened now?
I don't know.
I just like taking shots at people.
That's all.
I don't know.
They tell Brady and I, we sound great.
Hey, Brian, what's the problem, man?
I'm sticking up for us, B.
You know what I mean?
Come on.
Come on, Brian.
You heard, Jonas?
Hey, guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers.
I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called,
Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We have the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions,
because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it,
but, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.

Yeah.

Hey.
And we have been joined at the hips since high school.
Absolutely.
A redacted amount of years later, we're still joined at the hip, just a little bit bigger
hips.
This is a podcast where we're,
recording it as we tailgate are youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey.
With all the snacks and drinks.
Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer?
Oh, they hit a bogo.
Well, then you got it.
