We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
Starting point is 00:00:30 you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the ice. Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Lots of great games, but there's other things going on. We do it every Friday weekend hobnobbing. So stick around for that. Plus, Kavino or Belichick. We're playing that for prizes.

Starting point is 00:03:46 Hill Lodies each hour and a best of. And yesterday, I know there's a lot of action because of the NFL draft, NBA playoffs. If you missed, overpromised our bonus podcast. It was a lot of fun. We had 30 minutes with the one minute. And a man, KFC from Barstool, Kevin Clancy, really fun hang. So that is available right now wherever you get your pods or on the Fox Sports Radio YouTube page.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Yeah, I missed that and the draft because I was watching the Conner's finale last night. Just kidding. That was two nights ago. Was it two nights ago? And it ends with what, Dan Connor looking at the camera and he's like, good eye in America. I just saw all the highlights. I'm saying what happened to my wife, Roseanne? Let me tell you, I'm not vouching for Roseanne.
Starting point is 00:04:28 I'm sure she said some dumb things over the years. But when she left that show, I thought they had two weeks tops. They dragged that crap on for years with, Roseanne. Like the office. Yeah, who else was watching it, man? I never heard a peep about that show. But, again, lots of fun stuff to get to. We'll tell you what you need to watch on weekend hobnob.
Starting point is 00:04:46 But you were right. The Connors finale, I did see it was trending because apparently every main character, other than obviously Roseanne is in the living room. And they all say, like, good night. Like, they all leave. And then it's just John Goodman there. And then he says, good night. He looks at the screen.
Starting point is 00:05:01 He breaks the fourth wall. He breaks the fourth wall with that. They still have that same blanket on the couch, huh? Like a ass. Yeah, that thing must smell. I think must stank. The stank, stink, stink. Stank it.
Starting point is 00:05:10 So your observations wrapping it up. Everything that you observed last night are NFL draft version of things that made you go, hmm. I said the long runway, the furniture store they were sitting in, and they had to run all the way, tapped the logo. Tyler Booker stood out.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Danny G. pointed that out that he was pranzant through the hall 12th pick of the cowboys but tyler booker running through stood out to me um and no shadora which we're going to talk about in a minute but who else we got here to wrap it up we got sean and sacktown Sean what's up my friend just real quick fellas man thank you for keeping me all through a break too real quick i think you guys can't echo enough how great danny raters have had this offseason man i thought picking up jonti was the perfect ad i know a lot of my Raider buddies up here in NorCal were just relieved. They didn't reach with Shadoor Sanders, which would be a total Raider thing to do in the past.
Starting point is 00:06:04 So you got Pete Carroll, you get an O line up there. And I think they got to make it for a little playoff underdog this year, fellas. Y'all keep it, y'all keep rocking, man. I'll be up here with Rob Parker catching the A's game, man. We'll report back on Monday. Nice. So that's a great place to check out a game. So enjoy.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Genty to the Raiders, I think that's a great fit. And a great night for the short kings, because what is he, like, 5-9, tops? He's a small dude. man, but he's built like a brick. I mean, I'm just repeating what Danny said months ago, but it's so true. You said he's ripped like D.K. Metcalfe, but he's a tiny version. But he's tiny. Like he's like, he, they said the way it was described to me, if you know who Napoleon
Starting point is 00:06:44 Kaufman, former Raider running back super fast, right? Yeah. He has that speed. But then like Bo Jackson, he could run guys over because he's so cut and big. Yeah. So even though he's a short guy compared to other. NFL players, that doesn't show on the field, man. He's like a Sequin Barkley type freak.
Starting point is 00:07:02 Like Kove said, a big night for short, Kings. I did think it was cool, though. You know, a lot of times when there's like product placement, you roll your eyes and look at this trash. It's like eye-rolly. I thought the Lids mirror was a cool thing. I did. I thought it was a really cool way to incorporate.
Starting point is 00:07:17 You know how on like red carpet sometimes you'll have like the shoe cam and women are like, what shoe is she wearing? Watching the guys grab the hat, they changed the logo of the pedestal, and just watching the guy smile putting on his new hat. I thought that was a really cool, I guess you would say, natural way to incorporate a sponsor. Incorporate the sponsor, but also see a little side of their personality. I think that's how they put on their hat.
Starting point is 00:07:40 Yeah, how happy they really were, you know. Yeah, added some fun to it for sure. Speaking of happy, I thought another observation, the fans of Green Bay that were there when Matthew Golden got picked, I thought the owner, the fact that he admitted, like, for the first time in like decades. We went with a wide receiver, wide receiver. Take a listen. With a 23rd pick in the 2025 NFL draft, the 13 time world champion, Green Bay Packers, for the first time since 2002, draft a wide receiver, Matthew Golden, one receiver
Starting point is 00:08:23 and at that point, Aaron Rogers was like, yeah, I know for the first time since. It's the 2000. You know what also happened at that point? Like three-fourths of the crowd left because they're all like local Packer fans. You're like, it's going about 10 o'clock now. We got to get up for work tomorrow. So we're going to head out. I thought the cool part of that was when he then grabbed the mic.
Starting point is 00:08:43 And he's like, yo, we're going to say Green Bay on three. Are you ready? One, two, three. And the whole crowd, Green Bay. So, I mean, it's got to be cool to be drafted in the home stadium in the home city. No doubt. Yeah. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:08:57 It doesn't get bigger than that. So a big night. Lives were changed as we discussed yesterday. The franchises, stars were changed. Any hoties? I didn't see any. There was no like girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:09:11 You know, I thought so much. I thought. Oh, there was a WNBA player that was with Pierce supporting him. But yeah. I thought, hey, maybe I'm into like middle-aged women now. I thought Jackson Dart's mom was in great shape for a mom. Did you see her? Was that his mom who looked like she was like,
Starting point is 00:09:27 Miss CrossFit. Did you see her? I did. I don't know. I assumed it was his mom. I assumed that, but I don't know for sure. I was like, clear. The family stays in shape. Yeah. I assumed his dad was the bald guy and the mom was the like the in shape woman. I could be wrong. What did you notice about Chador and his body language? I think he everything he said afterward, I respect it. He wasn't pouting about anything, which was nice. You know, but it had to be embarrassing for him and the family. Well, as you say, humbleness, and then your mom will correct you and say, Stephen, you idiot, it's humility. Maybe. Like I said, but maybe that's what he needs. Maybe that's a blessing in disguise. Colin Calhurt on the herd today.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Who? You know, the face of our network? Yeah. I think we can only do who with Mike. Stars. Colin Cowherd went on a pretty cool rant. So I said, I just wanted to pull 10 seconds to this. He talked about perhaps prime time and his kid.
Starting point is 00:10:22 humility is a thing and you really have he hasn't played one game in the NFL and what what was the science say in his draft room like legendary yeah legendary well it's part of his motto yeah i know but take a listen to uh and he has that chain and everything Colin earlier today can we just go back in society where hard work matters and humility's not uncool it's humility the worst thing you got to put legendary everywhere how about you play a game one just give me one game and then you can put legendary all over your house I don't care. One game.
Starting point is 00:10:54 He hasn't played one game in the National Football League, and there is something. Listen, no one else had their own room, right? Everyone else was either with their family on, you know, crappy recliners at home or they're all hanging backstage. In fairness, it's like a family sort of model that he's running with, and the motto was be legendary, but he's wearing that legendary chain and legendary has become the model, but it's be legendary. and it's meant to emphasize his aspirations to achieve greatness, all aspects of life, football, and personal life. So it's almost like a family mantra.
Starting point is 00:11:29 I get it. But I totally understand what Colin's saying too, and that's exactly what we were saying prior to this with maybe he rubbed people the wrong way. I mean, there was a lot of buzz about him being a little too cocky and a little too big for the moment. Trust me. Prime is a little sensitive about it. Did you see how he went at Dan Orlovsky? Dan O'Ollowski's been a big fan all along he criticized one little thing like maybe
Starting point is 00:11:53 this is why he's dropped down and Prime went out of him on social media like yo I thought we were you know I thought we were together and I thought you had our back Orlovsky's a nice dude he seems like a fair guy I mean it's fair to speculate right because why didn't he go and we heard a lot of buzz about him being cocky and we talked about the interview process
Starting point is 00:12:14 we know the guy's got potential we know what he's capable of, you know, he has a potential to be great, you know what his dad did. That doesn't necessarily mean anything. And Mel Kiper had number one, right? What we don't know is the interview process and how he rubs people or how he comes across. Well, let me ask you, if some kid came in here,
Starting point is 00:12:31 you know, I hate to say, but we're not kids anymore. Some 20-something year old kid comes into Fox Sports and he's like, yo, I'm going to change the culture here, I'm the man. That can be interpreted, A, yo, I like his fire. I want him part of this team.
Starting point is 00:12:47 or who the F do you think you are? So it really is in the ear of the beholder, the eye of the beholder? Let me ask you guys this, because this is one of my thoughts. In a league that is so dependent on quarterback that we saw it in this draft, where Cam Ward's number one, who is the eighth best prospect by Daniel Jeremiah on this draft board. Throughout the draft process, we've heard that the six quarterbacks that went last year, all would have gone before Cam Ward, you know, in this draft. So what point is it that it's just he's not up to that level?
Starting point is 00:13:22 Like there have always been quarterbacks to that point. And I completely agree like there are things that can rub a team the wrong way. And if you're 50, 50 about someone. But I just feel it's such the total package. And if he can't play and everything else comes with it, then you're going to fall. Like teams weren't even willing. Tennessee took a risk in taking Cam Ward because they feel they need a quarterback. Nobody else wanted to do that in the first round outside.
Starting point is 00:13:46 Giants trading up to try to get Chador. I mean, at some point, you can point to everything, but you got to look within. Dan, that's a great point because we've talked about how, hey, a guy that's been in the league one or two years that has sort of struggled, why are we quick to write him off and automatically think just because someone's in the draft this year? Like you said, they ranked last year six QBs that got drafted ahead of Cam Ward, who went number one. But dude.
Starting point is 00:14:12 When you saw Pittsburgh pass on him. Yeah. and just really fundamental. When they passed on him, I immediately thought, well, man, they must be banking on Rogers. Eggs must be all on that basket.
Starting point is 00:14:24 But also fundamentally, like, to think we have other needs at other positions, and we don't think Shador's the guy. If you're taking a non, when I say sexy position, if it's not a quarterback, running back, or wide receiver, when your team picks
Starting point is 00:14:40 an O-line or, you know, an edge rusher. I think it's a absolutely. Because the team is thinking bigger, right? If you think on the positive side of things, though, maybe that's exactly what Sanders needs, which is a reality check, right? And it really benefits him in the long run
Starting point is 00:14:55 because it forces him to step up in every way. Some humility, some extra work. It's the flashy pick versus the realistic pick. The sensible pick. And I've joked with you about how in baseball, you know what that always happens, when the team has a managerial opening and the team always wants the new manager
Starting point is 00:15:17 to be like a former player everyone liked. And it's like, why do we always think that that's the guy that's going to be able to lead your team? Every franchise in baseball, manager gets fired. You know what they say? Yo, is there someone from our World Series winning team from like a decade ago or so that could lead this team?
Starting point is 00:15:35 That's the pick that, like, today, if the Steelers had chosen, Chidor, we would all be talking about Pittsburgh than the Steelers today. but they said, you know what? That's not what we need in this moment. And again, humility or not. Hey, humility or not, everybody's talking about him.
Starting point is 00:15:52 So he does have that going for it, right? Is there a party that says you do it to yourself, but hey, he accepts that responsibility and that pressure because I said there's two places people wore last night, right? They were all backstage in what looked like an Ashley Furniture Warehouse. Yes. Chilling out together. Or they were at home with their families on, you know, middle class family recliners.
Starting point is 00:16:12 Chador was the one guy that had a special setup. A party room. I mean, aren't you already now in that moment isolating yourself in a weird way? He needed a soundproofed room and a soundman for his concert he put on in there. That's the saying. That's what rubbed people the wrong way a little bit. But that's also who he is. But maybe this is what he needs and this is what puts him where he needs to be.
Starting point is 00:16:34 So like he said a blessing of this guy. Or does he just not care? Because he heard all this going into the draft. and he did rub some teams the wrong way in the interview process. But to DB's point, when you look at his numbers and which teams he played against, it wasn't really comparable to Jackson Dart because of the competition Jackson Dart went up against. And so, Rich, I saw a great article last night that said his numbers match more closely to Brock Purdy than Jackson to Jackson Dart. So, I mean, it's not that Shador can't be a great player.
Starting point is 00:17:09 He's a great athlete. And like your boy said, even though they're coming down on Orlovski right now, he's the one that said, I think he has elite field vision and he's a great athlete. We just don't know enough about him because of the competition and the bad O line that he had. Yeah. Yeah, we talked about that. He's hard to evaluate. It's like a nice way of saying he's an empty fajita. All sizzle, no substance, no meat.
Starting point is 00:17:35 Fahita. You know, a lot of sizzle. We're just a question mark. Like, we just don't know. Why would you call my son of fajita? But I'm not saying he's an empty fajita. I'm just saying that he's a lot of flash. It's like when that waiter comes out with that stills and fajita, everybody looks.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Like, ooh. Ooh, an old fashion with smoke that comes out of him. Yeah. Oh. But, you know, but maybe it's not all that great. We don't know. I haven't had it yet. You know, Daniel Jermaya told the story to the guys on Barstool about Paxton Lynch,
Starting point is 00:18:01 former Broncos first round pick. And he said that he went to the bowl game, I believe it was, that Memphis was playing. and noticed that Paxton Lynch wasn't talking to other coaches or other teammates on the sidelines. It was kind of by himself that there wasn't like this engagement process. We laugh about the draft day movie and the theory of like how many players went to your birthday party, the whole deal. We laugh at the questions that are asked these players in the combine. You know, if you couldn't wear blue jeans, what color pants do you wear?
Starting point is 00:18:33 What animal would you be? But all of that is taken into account. So to also think of everything that comes with Shador, like, yeah, plays into it. Like, it has to. I told you the coffee. Did we hear, or was Mantu, and I talked about how employers, I saw an article about the coffee test where they offer you a cup of coffee during the interview, and they see if you throw out your cup of coffee at the end or you leave it there for someone else to throw it away. Like little.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Quarterback is a super special position, obviously a leadership position too, where, you know, are you the type of guy that's going to run people the wrong way? or either the type of guy that's going to lead by example where the players want to fight for you. And when you're separating yourself, like you're already the superstar, it's kind of hard to be won with the rest of the team. You know, and it puts you in a different place. Like, do you want to fight for the guy that separates himself from the pack?
Starting point is 00:19:24 Or do you want to fight for the guy that's just one of the guys? That's what made me love. That's what's talking about. Maxwell Hirsten, who the Buffalo Bills picked, because not only did he come out with that enthusiasm and, you know, it just seems like such a sincere, loving dude. He was bro-hugging and really excited for everyone else. And there was a part of him that you felt like that's a guy you want on your team.
Starting point is 00:19:48 Yeah. You know, I don't know if anyone else has heard this second shout out to our buddy Michael Yo today listening in Vegas. Is he your ghostwriter? No, no, no. He's a Miami guy, so he's a big Cam Ward. You know what, Rich has had some good points lately. I think he's getting it from Michael Yo.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Yo said he's a big Cam Ward guy. And a big mistake Shador made, perhaps, is that he did a workout with Cam Ward. And a lot of people from that workout came away saying that Cam Ward looked a lot better than Shador in that workout together. So, you know, that's another thing, too. Like, you don't want to go to the bar with a better looking dude trying to pick up women, right? But, dude, let's also make this clear. Let's all make this clear. We all grew up fans of his dad, right?
Starting point is 00:20:31 And we all got excited when we started seeing him play. And I'll be rooting for him. Yeah, I don't think anyone's rooting for the guy. I mean, not rooting for the guy. We're all rooting for the guy. So we're just speculating on, well, what is it then? Because we're all rooting for them. And if I were to say, Rich, I'm not one to grade.
Starting point is 00:20:47 I think the teams that stand out are the Giants. And we said that yesterday. They made some sweet moves. The Giants with Carter and Dart. The Titans with Ward. The Jags with Hunter and Danny G. You're raiders, man. Gentie.
Starting point is 00:21:03 Yeah. You can't, you can't not include your Raiders with some sweet moves or something to be excited about, especially when you think about the other moves they made this off season. So who are you most excited about, Richard? Is there another team I'm forgetting about? I would say Giants, Titans, Jags, Raiders. 49ers took Mikhail Williams out of Georgia. Listen, edge rusher opposite Nick Bosa.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Some liked it, some didn't. So listen, everyone has their needs, right? Yeah, everybody has their needs, but as far as, like, sexy. I think those are the teams that stood out like ooh those are some nice moves Now I was gonna say Brandon who works here Who's a big Niners fan that I'll be I'll be truthful He's more knowledgeable than me when you dig down deeper
Starting point is 00:21:42 Like he's he's a fanat he's a maniac in fact He did not like to pick right I was Sam Yeah no he immediately after it came out he says I hate this pick Ah but then again you know what I saw it float around I put on my Instagram story if you want to see it at Rich Davis The clip of those fans saying Josh Allen We want to Josh Rosen and then there's a clip right
Starting point is 00:22:02 after that attached to the same clip where it's the Chiefs fan saying, Patrick Mahomes, there's no wonder this team will never win. So, you know, every year the swings and misses, people miss, it happens. Rich, quite a few of the mock drafts leading up to this had your Niners going with Will Johnson, the corner from Michigan. Now, if I saw that too. He was injured last season, but aside from that, he is a great defensive back.
Starting point is 00:22:28 He's available right now. That's one of the other things that makes the top of the second round here exciting, because will the Browns right off the bat go with Chador? And once we get then to the Raiders at 37, would they go with Chador to sit behind Gino Smith? Because that's kind of the comp. That was the comp for Chador yesterday on a lot of the shows, was his ceiling is kind of like Gino Smith right now.
Starting point is 00:22:51 You'd be pumped for that, Danny, G, no? I mean, I think the Raiders have some bigger needs. They definitely need some help in their defensive backfield. If Will Johnson is sitting there at 37, I would go that route. I haven't been this hyped about a second round for a long time. Well, you know what, tight ends. Dan Byer is the true first time this many tight ends in the first round? I believe I heard that stat being thrown around.
Starting point is 00:23:13 We had two, at least two. Yeah. Loveland and Loveland, yeah. And there are a couple of other tight ends too in this draft that could be a variety, could be picked in the first 15 picks or so. Mason Taylor of LSU is one. there's some big wide receivers. We've all noticed over the last decade the increased role offensively of tight ends in the NFL.
Starting point is 00:23:37 So, you know, some of these guys looking to make a Brock Bowers type of impact, right? True. And but it hasn't gone to the Jimmy Graham. Like, the more you block, I think is more intriguing now. You love a Swiss Army life like Tyler Warren as well. But, like, you have to, you now have to line up and be able to hit somebody. You want to see a guy like George Kittle mow people over and look like a maniac all he does it. I think, you know, he's obviously been one.
Starting point is 00:24:03 Gronk is obviously the standard bearer, but for sure. Mason Taylor, a very famous father and famous aunt. Do you know who? Tim the Toolman, Taylor. No, his aunt is Joy Taylor. And then her brother is, of course, I'm playing on his first name. Jason Taylor.
Starting point is 00:24:20 Jason Taylor. Jason Taylor, I've been watching for a few years. The guy's really good. Really good. Oh, look at that. Yeah. Talent in the family. Talent in the fam.
Starting point is 00:24:27 So to wrap this all up because we got games to play and weekend hobnobbing. I think Danny G hit it perfectly. So all the things that happened yesterday make today's round two even more exciting. I'm going to sound like I'm the host of The Bachelor. This is the most exciting round two ever. I've never cared about round two as much as I've cared about this year's round two.
Starting point is 00:24:47 So I wrap up the conversation with this question. Look at the beginning of round two. Where does Shador go? What do you think? Danny, where did you think you think you goes? Well, you know there's a lot of speculation too. And a lot of people, I don't know, people just want to see drama, I guess, who think that he might not go at all.
Starting point is 00:25:05 I disagree with that. The Saints are coming up at 40. So it wouldn't surprise if he slips down past the Browns and the Raiders, that would put him the 40th pick overall to the Saints. All right. Round two. We start with Cleveland. Houston's got their quarterback.
Starting point is 00:25:21 Titans, no. Raiders. See, the Browns have two picks in there right away. What about the Raiders at 37? Do you have no interest? He knows, like, is that... It's not that I don't have any interest. If Will Johnson is there, yeah, I was saying I would go cornerback first.
Starting point is 00:25:37 But I'm saying with Tom Brady and his relationship with prime time and the fact that you got Gentie, you got Brock Bowers, you're building a pretty sweet offense under Pete Carroll. And Gino's not getting younger. True. You know. Too many holes on the defensive side of the ball for the Raiders right now, though. I think he's going to go the Raiders, Deney. And I think he fits in with the Raiders nice.
Starting point is 00:25:56 I don't know. He just feels like a... He'd look good in silver and blank, G. I'd tell Danny a month ago, I think the Raiders are destined to take Jalen Milrow. Because that is the Chip Kelly. Yep, that's a good one too. You know, Pete Carroll would always take shots with Russell Wilson. They'd take four or five shots in a game.
Starting point is 00:26:14 But you'd love the mobility of Jalen Milro. I have a crazy question. If somehow, some way, Chidor doesn't go to the Raiders at 37, the fifth pick in the second round. If he, again, goes past the Saints without getting picked, which would seem crazy if he doesn't go with pick 40 to the Saints. Well, did he pay rent for two nights of the party room or no? How does that work? Does he have it? Does he have it booked again?
Starting point is 00:26:39 How does that even work? I don't know. I hope it's not like rental cars where you add a day and it's like triple the charge. Are there New York fans thinking could he slip to pick 42 with the Jets? And the Jets have Justin Field, but that's really sort of an experiment in itself. No? I mean, you paid him for two years, but there's going to be a team eventually that's like why the hell not right i haven't think the 49ers
Starting point is 00:27:08 the pick after that there's going to be a team eventually that's like why the hell not even if it's for trade reasons or something i'm going and danny g already expressed that the raiders have other needs but for fun with the tom brady connection i hope i'm thinking raiders i am just because timing of it i'm thinking raiders i selfishly because we do the show every day danny's big raiders fan so I want to see Danny live and die on the Shador rumors. And is he going to start? The minute Gino has a bad game, it's going to be like, put in Shador. No, don't wish that on me.
Starting point is 00:27:37 I'd rather go Milro out of Alabama. Danny G. But look at the Browns have 33 and 36. You're telling me with one of those two picks right at the top of the second round, they're not going to go Shador. 33, 36. And what are the Saints again? 40.
Starting point is 00:27:50 Yeah, that's true. That could be it, too. And let's not discount. Someone could trade. It could be a team right now that slept on it. Which makes tonight the most exciting round two of the Bachelor. I mean the NFL drafts ever in drafts history. I threw out the dolphins earlier today.
Starting point is 00:28:08 Imagine this quarterback room of Tua, Zach Wilson, and Shador Sanders. Like that's, I mean, that's pick 48. You know, not to be all over the place. And we're running so late. I'm so sorry, guys. But did you see Tommy DeVito has demanded a trade? That's not a joke. He has demanded a trade from the Giants because now that the quarterback
Starting point is 00:28:27 room. He did not get told ahead of time that they were thinking about a quarterback. So now with Russell Wilson, James Winston, Dart, DART, Tommy DeVito, out. So take your Gabba Gould, your fresh Mozilla, and get out of it. Gagabog. You're going to drop him off
Starting point is 00:28:42 at Newark Airport or what? Yeah, but New York has the best cutlets. What's he going to do? I don't know. Gapagoole. All right. So guys, we have Swiggies to give away and it's your chance to win one, all right? The coveted Swiggy, our stainless steel water bottle that everybody's talking about. It's Midnight Black.
Starting point is 00:28:58 It says Fox Sports Radio on it. It's real nice. Your chance to win one by simply playing Covino or Belichick. A game that's a minute. Is it me or him? Apparently we're the same guy. It's multiple choice, easy to play. But a chance to win a really great prize and a nice way to start the weekend.
Starting point is 00:29:14 So the number's 87799 on Fox if you want to play. All right. We'll do that next. But Dollar Shave Club exists to keep grooming costs down and smooth levels high. Starting point is 00:30:26 What's the news, big news? We created our own podcast. Hey Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to a... We're the first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
Starting point is 00:30:39 But this one's extra special. So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys? I honestly don't remember. I think it was on a call about what we should call it. Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band. Before Jonas Brothers was... This is how you guys remember it going down. Yes. I have a very different memory of this.
Starting point is 00:31:02 We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, Hey, Jonas. And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that, guys. Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Starting point is 00:31:22 Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smigel and Friends. Me and hilarious guests. from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel

Starting point is 00:31:53 The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis, and I know firsthand because I competed there myself. I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast, I'm breaking down everything happening at Roland Garris. Every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on Clay. Jenchen won. I mean, she went down in three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted. She's an outsider to win the French for me. And she likes Clay.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Listen, Lerner Rabakina is arguably the best player in the world right now, and I actually can win on any surface. Because if she's serving, well, good luck. Consider this your court side seat to the French Open. Listen to the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Because people scoreboard watch. Life becomes about wins and losses. Steve Burns, Dustin Ross, because you find it important to be a good person while you hear on earth. Starting point is 00:34:37 All right. CNR on FSR live from the Fox Sports Radio Studio. And can we just say we're very proud to be part of the premier sports lineup in the nation. And we're super pumped about the coverage that Fox Sports Radio provided yesterday when it comes to the NFL draft. Look at you kissing ass. That's right. No, the network got a big write-up today in a trade, online trade magazine, and it was just glowing review about the coverage. Yeah, props to Fox Sports Radio.
Starting point is 00:35:05 And thank you, everybody listening for being part of it. Now, for over 40 years, Tyraq has been helping customers find the right tires of how, what, and where they drive. Ship fast and free back by free road hazard protection with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation. Tyraq.com. The tire buying should be. All right. It's time to play. Kavino or Belichick.
Starting point is 00:35:24 Let's go. Steve Kavino and Bill Belichick has some things in common. They do. Bill Alichick's the man. They both have younger girlfriends named Jordan. He ain't the man if that was my daughter. They both have a powerful presence in the sports world. Look harder so you can do that when you're 72.
Starting point is 00:35:42 You tell us, is it Steve Kavino or Bill Belichick? I'm not mad at him at all. I want to know what it is. You know what it is? The similarities are endless. Yeah. The only difference is Bill is like five or six years older than Covino. Not five or six.
Starting point is 00:36:02 Iowa, Sam, Danny, do we have a contestants lined up or not? We are going to meet our contestant in just a moment. I'm going to let buyer pick here. All right, DB, would you love to travel to beautiful Missoula, Montana, Las Vegas, Nevada, West Palm Beach, Florida, or Temple, Texas? Let's go to West Palm. West Palm is Mike. Mikey.
Starting point is 00:36:23 How's we going? Hey! Ready to play? Hey. Mike, really quick, what do you do for living there in Florida? I work at a cemetery. Oh. I mean, Florida, as they say, where New Yorkers go to die.
Starting point is 00:36:36 All right. Here is how Covino. God's waiting room. This is how Covino or Belichick works. I've done extensive research on Coach and Covino and their young girlfriends. Each member of the crew is going to read a fun fact. And then you've got to tell us, is it Steve Covino or Bill Belichick? You have five chances.
Starting point is 00:36:54 to get too correct. Are you ready? I'm ready. Okay, Rich Davis is going to read the first fun fact. All right. This guy, whether it's Belichick or Kavino, their Jordan once had a pet goat named Bac Bac Bac Bac. Kvino or Belichick,
Starting point is 00:37:12 their Jordan once had a pet goat named Bac Bac Bac. I don't know if I know this. Let's go Belichick. No. What? Yeah, that's actually my girlfriend, yeah. She lived on a farm. Are you serious?
Starting point is 00:37:25 She had goats and stuff. Yeah. Hold on. She was from Idaho. Oh, my. I didn't know this. Yeah. She bounced around, but I know she lived on a farm.
Starting point is 00:37:32 She always talked about this goat she had. Wait, really? Yeah. And now she has this goat. What's up? Yeah, the greatest of all time. Goat boy, yeah. Don't worry, Mikey.
Starting point is 00:37:43 You got four more chances to get two right. All right. Dan Byer is going to read the second fun fact. All right. He once said, quote, you get the job done. or you don't, end quote. Oh. Kavino or Belichick.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Bellichick. That's correct. Yes. All right. So you're on the board halfway to a Swiggy. And yeah, Covino has said some very thoughtful things on the air before, but never that line. Yeah, never that line specifically. Great job.
Starting point is 00:38:13 All right. Spot has the third fun fact. I feel like this is going to be as tough as the goat question because they're both equally have huge personalities. He was on a reality TV program in the early to. A lot going on for both of them in the early 2000s. It's a Kavino or Belichick. Kavino. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:32 That's correct. We have a winner. Mike in West Palm Beach, Florida. Two correct there. That means we're going to mail. What was the name of me? Yeah, I was on a show called the Empire Girls. And I was like the only Empire Boy.
Starting point is 00:38:47 And that show aired on Style. And remember Style? It was Style and E, the E network. And now it's on like Amazon. And my daughter's friends find it and make fun. I remember about it. It's horrible. It's horribly embarrassing. I remember your ex-wife was on it, which is why you were on it. And you guys were fighting about moving to New York or in L.A.
Starting point is 00:39:04 And I was like, what premonitions of that going wrong? It was horrible. But, man, we got to win. Hey, Mike. Mike, we're going to mail out a shiny C&R stainless steel swiggy to Florida for you. Okay. Isn't it your ex-wife on the Real Housewives of Encino because of you? No.
Starting point is 00:39:19 No. I don't want to talk about her. Thanks. Yeah. Hey, great job, Mike. DB. What's up, man? Up DB. Smooth transition.
Starting point is 00:39:29 Kavino's ex-wife to me. You brought her up, Rich. I know. You brought her up this time. Right now it's the two ends of the spectrum of loving Kavino. You know, the ex-wife and then me on that other end. You love him. President Trump loves Shador Sanders.
Starting point is 00:39:42 Danny read the tweet earlier, but the president, not a Clay Matthews fake-out job that we saw last night. The real deal is the president took to social media supporting the Colorado quarterback who wasn't picked in the first round of last night's draft. The president stated Chodor has, quote, phenomenal genes and is set for greatness, end quote, while adding he should be picked immediately. When he says phenomenal genes, he's talking Travis Matthew, I believe. Those phenomenal genes, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:11 Not just for golf anymore. Yeah. Super stretchy in light. The commissioner of the NFL Roger Goodell was on the Pat McAfee show mentioning some possible changes that could be coming. Christmas Day is going to have a triple header basically every year. Chiefs wanted to be a part of it every year. The NFL said, no, that's not going to be the case. Thanksgiving Day games will have more of the traditional kickoff times that we see on Sundays of an NFL season. And Goodell also said that the first round of the NFL draft could have shortened time limits coming up.
Starting point is 00:40:39 Right now, each team given 10 minutes to make that first round selection. Goodell offered up the suggestion of possibly seven minutes with the situation, possibly adding two more minutes if teams needed to make the pick. Former Vikings running back Adrian Peterson Arrested on DUI charges early this morning in Minnesota following attending a Vikings draft party. Tonight in the NBA playoffs, the Celtics and Magic will tip at the top of the hour.
Starting point is 00:41:04 Jason Tatum will play tonight for Boston against Orlando. Pacers and Bucks at 8 Eastern, Lakers and T. Wolves, 9.30 Eastern time. Grizzlies won't have John Morant tomorrow in game four against O KC. Thunder up in that series. Three games to none. Family of five-star USC recruit Elijah Arena says the 18-year-old is out. motive is induced Tacoma following a car accident early Thursday. Guys, back to you.
Starting point is 00:41:27 That's good news. Thanks, TB. And by the way, because we talk so much NFL, yeah, at one point, the Grizzlies were like so in the lead of that game. And you're like, all right, they're back in the series. They were up by like 20. Huge lead. 27 when John Moran got hurt.
Starting point is 00:41:41 Dude, I took my mind off it. I stopped even looking at the updates while I was watching the draft. And my goodness, Jaws out, they lose the game. Wild. Down 3-0. So thank you, Dan Byron. the Adrian Peterson story, too. How many times we're going to hear that?
Starting point is 00:41:56 Especially guys that make money. Take an Uber. Take an Uber. What's so hard about that? Hey, Fox Sports Radio Nation. If you're going out partying tonight. Take an Uber home, a lift, whatever. Call somebody.

Starting point is 00:48:33 hobnobbing. Your winning bets for talking points. If you get stuck socializing. You ever done anything dangerous? You ever dance with the devil and the pale moonlight? That is dangerous. Friday brings us Weekend Hobnob. All right, so you know I love me a good
Starting point is 00:48:50 fight, right? We need to get props out. That's Bub Rub. Bob Rub. People realize that. The whistle got go woo. That's the, woo, from the Oakland area. One of my favorite clips of the 2000s.
Starting point is 00:49:02 Whistles go, woo. So Chris Eubanks is fighting Connor Ben, middleweight boxing match on the zone, but pretty decent UFC card. If you like UFC,
Starting point is 00:49:14 you got Gary, Ian Machado Gary versus Carlos Prattes, Smith versus Ming Yang, some good UFC, if you want to see some fights. It's got a little UFC and a little boxing going. on this weekend.
Starting point is 00:49:27 We're all waiting for May 2nd. That's real boxing. I was just going to say, that's Times Square Outdoors. That's Tiafimo, Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney, Garcia headlining that fight. That's May 2nd.
Starting point is 00:49:39 So, yeah, it's all building up for that. I started it last night after the draft. I'm going to continue tonight. Joe Goldberg is back. You on Netflix. And I always look at it like Dexter Light. Dexter Light. And what I've noticed, Rich,
Starting point is 00:49:54 is Joe Goldberg went from like a guy being obsessed with, you know, women, like sort of a stalker kind of guy. Like it's just a straight up murderer now. He's just straight up murdering people like a weirdo. And for whatever reason, we kind of like Joe Goldberg. You, I think it's the final season, if I'm not mistaken. So I always like that show. So far it's pretty deece.
Starting point is 00:50:15 And I'll give ourselves some props. If you missed it yesterday, I don't blame you. Everybody's tuned into the draft. It was an exciting night. We talked about it all day. continues today. You got to watch Overpromised our bonus pod.
Starting point is 00:50:30 That's on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page. You could listen, but we prefer you watch it because we welcome KFC from Barstool, Kevin Clancy. We had 30 minutes with the one-minute man. And we got his backstory, his relationship with Portnoy, how he ended up in his spot. Oh, he just chopped it up and just hung out anyway. He's a really good dude.
Starting point is 00:50:49 So got to know Kevin a little bit better on Overpromised. Check it out. and let us know what you think. I have you also on my list. Might as well finish the show I started back in the day, right? As you said, Dexter Light, you was back on Netflix. If you have Apple TV, which is Cheapskake Kavino's like, I don't have it. Spend the five bucks, six bucks or whatever.
Starting point is 00:51:07 I'm good. You know what? Because there's always something else to watch. The show that I'm so pulled into right now, and there's a new episode today, Danny G, episode four. Yeah. Your friends and neighbors with John Hamm. Ten out of ten. Many people are saying, and I agree, his best stuff since Matt.
Starting point is 00:51:23 Mad Men. He's so cool. There's something so cool about John Ham. The story's, like, so upsetting yet awesome. So John Hamm, your friends and neighbors. Olivia Munn is also in that looking beautiful. And remember from Amanda Pete from a bunch of stuff in the 2000? How about John Ham's Ham? Does it get credit? John Ham does get credit.
Starting point is 00:51:42 So your friends and neighbors, fantastic. There's a show on Netflix. I feel like this is something you'd pass by because it was a cowboy hat. And Camino is very judgmental. Ransom Canyon. Oh, it's so cheesy. It looks so cheesy, but... It's bad.
Starting point is 00:51:58 My observation with my wife, Danny G, is that it stars Josh Dumel and Minka Kelly, who in my mind are both, like, young hotties, and they're both, like, older now. It's like a Hallmark movie trying to have Yellowstone-level drama. It's Yellowstone meets Hallmark. It's torture. But in my mind, I'm like, oh, Josh New Mel, he's like a young stud in Minkett, Kelly, who-hoo! And I'm like, wait, no, they're both like middle-aged now. Is it Timothy Oliphon or Josh Dumel?
