This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.

That is not the look of an innocent man.
Is everyone lying to me about who they are?
I felt such desperation.
I felt it was what I had to do.

Speaking of, does everybody realize
when we say tire rack?
We're doing Coach Lou Brown for Major League.
So rest in peace once again,
Harry Doyle, Bob Euker.
We pay tribute to him on yesterday's show.

And we also played a game in honor of Harry Doyle,
the best fictional sports character.
on Overpromised.
That's on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page.
Definitely check it out.
And let's not forget, besides your wildcard games this weekend,
college championship on Monday night.
And the more I look at this at Draft Kings,
I loved Ohio State minus eight.
It's up to eight and a half now,
which shows people are riding in Ohio State here.
I still think they are too explosive.
You know, my heart says,
I know way more people that went to Notre Dame,
like Notre Dame, but,
you know, I'll roll with your brother-in-law.
I love Ohio State.
I mean, I wouldn't roll with my brother-in-law.
I'm just simply brooding for my brother-in-law.
You know, that's it.
So, hey, Ohio State minus eight and a half feels still like the pick for me.
I mean, you might want to say that for weekend hobnob and what you need to watch, right?
So before we get to Pete Alonzo, because I know you have thoughts on former New York Matt Pete Alonzo,
I can't believe I haven't asked you at all today.
Your thoughts on the Supreme Court saying, yeah, TikTok's done.
You think Mr. Beast or Mr. Wonderful if someone's going to come in in the next 48 to 72 hours and saved it?
I heard from my guy, Jack Mack, who's my favorite dude at Barstool.
I don't care about anyone else except for Jack Mack.
He's my favorite.
Rich is always talking about all the women on Barstool.
I don't know any of them.
You know, because I mentioned Brianna Chicken Fry.
And Camino's like who?
He mentions her every day.
Every day.
KFC Barstool is a Mets fan.
I like him.
I like KFC.
But Jack Mack's my favorite.
Okay.
Well, what did he said that?
I'm going to be hungry.
On Monday, Mr.
Trump invited the owner and founder of TikTok to the inauguration.
He's got like a front row seat.
So why would he be inviting that dude?
Right?
If they didn't have some sort of plan on working things through and figuring it out.
So maybe it does go away, but maybe it's just on hold until they figure it out.
Because you think he's going to invite this guy and his dude's going to show up and they're not going to figure something out together?
Well, didn't, this thing ends, though, on Sunday.
Can't they, was there an option for the Supreme Court and President Biden to maybe do a 30 to 90 day, you know, I guess a delay of sorts?
I was saying, you have some insight?
Well, I'm sorry.
I actually wanted to go back to the, I think it's the CEO of TikTok being at the inauguration.
Yeah.
All of the tech.
Oh, he's singing with the village people?
All of the tech CEOs are going to, like, be at the inauguration, like, Google, meta.
Because they've all donated to the.
Trump inauguration fund.
So, like, I don't know.
He's going to be there, though.
He's in D.C. already.
So that's just wanting to offer that.
Doesn't that say a lot to you, though, that there's got to be some sort of resolution?
I think so.
There's too much at stake.
I know for a lot of people just sounds like a stupid app.
Yeah, a stupid app that's worth a lot of money that is consuming us.
There's almost 200 million users in the United States.
Exactly.
And listen, no one wants Chinese shenanigans getting.
you know, messing up our situation.
That's what they'll figure out.
And I will say there's two types of people.
Players and haters, I know.
We know your theory.
Rich builds theories on Taylor Swift's songs.
That's not true, but it's a good theory.
But there are people that are happy for other people's success.
Oh, yeah.
And then there's people that don't like anyone having stuff they don't have.
So you got a lot of people that are saying,
oh, whass, a bunch of influencers are going to lose income.
I look at it like, that's a bummer, man.
There's a lot of younger generation people that make a nice side hustle or money.
Spent years building a following.
Like even a guy like Brandon, Brandon, who works in the editing department.
He posts on TikTok some really great fantasy football stuff.
And he's like, yeah, dude, I made some money off of that.
That's, it stinks for the younger generation that look at social media as a way to make money because TikTok did pay.
So I don't look at it as wha.
I look at it as, yeah, it does suck for a lot of younger people.
And there's people that make not just a couple Hondo or a couple thousand here and there.
There's people that their whole livelihood.
I care.
I sympathize.
But I do think it would be a blessing in disguise if it were to go, right?
To be honest.
You know, like I said to you before, take away TikTok.
It's not like you're going to be like A.J. Brown reading books all of a sudden.
You don't know that.
You're going to just be scrolling on Instagram more.
I'll be reading inner help or whatever it was called.
Inner excellence.
Her excellence.
It's about to be an uptick in real estate agents.
I'll be reading a home.
Self help and Dr.
Seuss books.
Saying all these hot Instagram girls.
and TikTok girls are now going to be selling
selling our brains and our kids.
Chicken brains.
It's so addictive.
So I think we'd find more productive use of our time.
But I don't want to see people lose money.
And I'm hoping that things will be figured out and squared away.
Well, hey, we'll keep you in the loop.
But as of now, the Supreme Court said,
later to you.
As of now, you could still follow us, though.
At Steve Covino at Rich Davis, at Covino and Rich.
and of course, Fox Sports Radio.
It's like watching a show, you know, that's going to get canceled.
Follows on TikTok for the next 48 hours.
Let me ask you this.
I'm a big Mets fan.
You're a Yankees fan.
Before we get back into football,
I don't know if I have my Mets goggles on.
I'm trying to think of a Mets that wore glasses.
Chris Sabeoza-red.
Blue glasses.
I don't know if I have my Mets goggles on.
Didn't George Foster wear glasses at one point?
He did.
like 84. But Pete Alonzo, yes, he had a down year. Yeah, but his down year was better than most
people's years. Yeah, but I want to just throw some numbers at you knuckleheads. You can't say he had
a down year with 34 home runs and 88 RBI. Okay, perfect. Maybe a down year for him. All right,
but now a down year. Pete Alonzo, I don't know if you know how this works. You don't get younger.
You get older. Yeah. Okay. In fact, I know how old he is, you kind of sending nerd.
He's 30.
That's not old in baseball.
So, all right.
He's 30 years old.
I agree.
Guys get big contracts until they're 40.
I get it.
But Pete Alonzo's 30.
He's not the most nimble guy.
You've seen Pete Alonzo rounding third and you're like, my goodness.
He's no, he's no John Carlos Stanton.
But, you know, Pete Alonzo is not the most nimble fella.
Oh, luckily, luckily he plays first base.
But he's a decent first base when he's not a gold glover.
It's not like your, uh, it's like, wait, hold on.
I got to stop right there and at least give you a counterpoint.
Were you ever counting on?
Alonzo to be a base stealer?
No, no, never. I'm saying
he's not going to get faster.
He's only going to get slower and beefier.
Did you ever have him because he was
quick on his feet?
Never. He's always been a big
galute. I'm going to give you
some numbers. And
when you talk about GMs, I'm not a
Sabre metrics type of guy. I'm not. I look
at the number. I think
I'm in between. It's instinct
and numbers together. Anyone that relies on
one of those things
you can't rely on your gut 100%
and you can't rely on numbers 100%.
But home runs
256.
226 total.
Remember rookie year
unstoppable, 53 dingers.
The last three years, let's go last three years, right?
40, 46, 34.
So a career low in home runs.
RBI, the last three years.
Hold on, though.
He also had some very clutch home runs when they mattered.
that is true
when they mattered in the playoffs
that is the next layer of the conversation
save your thoughts but as far as regular season production
home runs
down his lowest
RBI
three years ago he led the league
131
2 years ago 118
last year
88
strikeouts
128
2 years ago he struck out
151 times
last year
172 times.
So what?
He had one down year.
No, I'm saying the numbers are trending away from Pete Alonzo.
Home runs down, RBI down, strikeouts up, getting older.
Yet, I still think three years, $70 million, final offer, I think the Mets are doing
them a little dirty.
I think they're completely doing them dirty.
No what I had in my mind?
They're saying all the right things.
Like, oh, we like them as a guy.
We wanted to work it out.
That's BS.
That's like a woman saying, look, I really love you and I really like you.
But, you know, I just feel the need to see other dudes.
It's like, well, then you don't love me that much.
Listen, in my mind.
The Mets could say all the right things.
They don't love them enough to give him what he wants.
They gave Juan Soto 765 over 15.
They just signed Winker.
They just signed A.J. Mentor for $22 million for two years, your new lefty reliever.
And they signed Manaya starting pitcher, Lefty, who did great in the postseason.
They gave him, got this, three-year, $75 million.
And that's where it rubbed me weird, because I know that pitching is more important to get that rotation going.
And Manaya really clicked last year.
I just think he's a homegrown dude.
He could have been a lifelong met.
That would be on the brink of breaking lots of met records.
I think he has a good relationship with the fans.
I think the fans like Pete Alonzo.
He's the guy that started.
Let's F and go.
Yeah, he's a little goofy.
And I think, you know, because he's grown up in Cityfield,
we've accepted him as the goofy met guy,
but he puts up big numbers.
I really saw him as the next David Wright,
like the next guy that could be the face of your team.
All these other cast of characters, yeah, they're big stars.
but they're not Pete Alonzo.
I mean, listen. And I think New York needs
a guy like him. The Mets have to keep up
with the Braves, the Phillies, the Yankees, the Dodgers, the Padres,
the elite teams,
the Astros. Dude, I wish the Yankees would get rid of Goldschmidt.
I wish there was away and then scoop up Pete Alonzo.
Seriously, because he's a first...
You don't need him to be limber and agile.
He's a big lumbering, power-hitting first baseman.
But as the off-season carried along,
I thought the Mets were not going to give him six or seven years.
I thought the Mets were going to give Pete.
I thought the final contract offer would be four years, 120.
I thought they were really going to give him 30 a year.
And Monsie has breaking news in the baseball world.
What do you got, Monsie?
Let's hear it.
Oh, my goodness.
Breaking news from Fox Sports.
I mean, you guys aren't going to care as much about this as Danny G and I, guys.
but Roki Sasaki, who we have been waiting for, right?
Like it was Padres, Blue Jays, Dodgers.
Officially, he is signing with the Dodgers on his Instagram.
He broke the news, posting a picture of the Dodgers.
Wow.
Let's go.
It's happening.
He said it was a very difficult decision,
but I will do my best to make it the right decision
when I look back after my baseball career.
Obviously, this is translated.
I want to slip my sleeve on the Dodgers uniform at the opening conference,
thanking everyone who has supported me thus far.
This was translated, so it probably sounds a little funky because I press to translate.
But yes, a 23-year-old right-handed pitcher coming to the Dyer's.
Can you translate it from yen to dollars?
What's the...
I don't know.
Do we know the numbers yet or what?
We do not know the numbers.
We don't know.
Everyone is literally going off this Instagram picture that he posted seven minutes ago.
Wow.
I'm not surprised.
So the rich get richer.
Rich get richer.
Bring it.
Wait, so you mean to tell me he's joining the team that has
Shohei Otani and that just won a World Series?
And Yamamoto.
And Yamamoto.
That's right.
That's going to pay him.
And I heard he just donated $600,000 on fire.
There we go.
And also, I do think the Mets are not doing right by Pete Alonzo.
They're not.
You know, Monsi, I'm curious what your thoughts are because you and Danny,
West Coast, Dodgers fans, you're more in sync with Padres, Dodgers, Giants.
When you look at the NL East, before you met me and
heard me talking about Pete all the time.
Was your impression that he's a premier power hitter?
Yes, and also I'm just big on loyalty.
And I just feel like the Mets and should be a little bit more loyal to him.
And what he did, especially, like, if we're like,
what have you done for me lately?
Well, I helped you win in the playoffs.
Yeah.
Three-run, home run off of Devin Williams,
one of the premier closers in baseball.
If not for that Pete Alonzo home run,
all those theatrics against the Phillies and the Dodgers series,
that doesn't happen if Pete doesn't hit that home run.
And yeah, I really feel he was a met through and through.
That's your guy.
That's your dude, right?
And now you throw him away like yesterday's diapers.
And I do think it takes away from the Juan Soto deal.
What made the Wonsoto deal so awesome for you guys is like you're adding him to the team that made the playoffs.
And that was the team that involved a power hitting Pete Alonzo.
I've heard.
I've heard.
So it's like, well, now you're missing a major bat at first base.
I don't like that for your Mets.
I've heard a lot of my Mets fans friends.
the Soto deal feels less.
Yes.
Because if you told me, add Soto to Alonzo, Linder, you're stacked.
Vientos, Nimmo.
Now a sudden the Mets have a lineup.
It's not the Dodgers lineup, but it's getting there.
You take away Pete, you're right, you're taking away a guaranteed 30, 40 or 50 home runs.
But I think my-
And you're banking on Vladie Guerrero.
My big takeaway is that they're banking on getting Vladian to trade this year
or signing them next year, which I think Vladi is.
is better than Pete, but that's, that's a, now you're hoping.
Right. Pete Alonzo, I think it's the low ball offer of the year.
Three years, 70 mil final offer because they knew he didn't have a lot of options.
You know what I thought.
And that's kind of weak for a team who emptied their everything for Soto.
Yeah.
But they can't give their guy just a few, just to make it right.
They're taking advantage of the fact that he didn't have the options.
Can I tell you?
What does it say, though, that no other team wanted Pete?
I'm not saying that it means he has no value,
but you're not a little curious that Pete didn't get more offers?
It's not that.
I think all the slots are filled.
Like we say all the time,
there's only so many spaces.
For a lumbering first base.
But with the market in baseball,
the market in baseball right now,
you don't think Pete Alonzo,
someone will take them, dude.
It's just not going to be anyone that matters.
It'll end up on Toronto or something.
Usually my instinct on these contracts are pretty close.
Toronto, he'll end up somewhere.
No, Toronto's an option.
Toronto and the,
the Red Sox are two options.
I think that I'm usually pretty accurate with the numbers.
Like, oh, that guy's a 10 or 20 million.
Oh, they'll give that guy 30 or 40.
When I tell you, I thought the Mets are struggling because I thought Boris wanted like 40 million a year.
And the Mets are like, no, we're going four years 120.
When I heard three years 70 under 25 million a year, I think it's a little insulting to a home run champion.
At first I thought it was just the amount of years that they were scrambling over.
Yeah, I was thinking maybe the three or a hundred million is satisfied.
him that way? I don't know, but hey, your thoughts
about polar bear peat and
we hear from Dallas Goddard
next right here, Kavino
and Rich on Fox Sports Radio.

Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers.

What's the news, new?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to us.
First people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how did we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, hey Jonas,
and then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Last night, a blown call changed a game.
This morning, the internet lost its mind.
Highlights are trending, opinions are flying,
and nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
That's where Sports Slice comes in.
I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise. Breaking down the plays, the controversies,
and the stories behind the headlines. We go straight to the source, the athletes themselves.
Their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to hear. The laughs, the drama,
the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real. From viral moments to historic games,
from buzzer beaters to controversial calls, we break it down, give you context and ask the questions
everybody wants answered. Sports slice brings you closer to the action with stories told by
the people who live them. Listen to SportsSlice on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is. Getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is. Getting a new one put up in its
place. As long as there's a politics of race in America, there's going to be a politics of remembering
the civil war. To get to school, I had to go down Robert Lee Boulevard.
bar. Get to the grocery store. I had to go down Jefferson Davis Parkway. If you're an historian
and you leave out half of what the history is, you're not doing your job. I'm Akila Hughes,
and Rebel Spirit season two goes deep on both of those things. The fights, the politics, the people
who won, and my personal campaign to add something to the Kentucky State House that's actually
worth the wall space. We are more than our bodies. We contain essence. We contain spirit. How do you
represent that? They are just fueling a fuck.
that is really catching.
You'll see what I mean.

Keith Gianmanca seemed like a mild-mannered suburban dad,
but secretly, he became someone else,
a master of disguise who went on a crime spree.
At the time, did it seem like a crazy idea?
It seemed very crazy,
but I felt so desperate that
I felt it was the quickest, easiest way out.
Did you allow yourself to think about how it could go wrong
and what that might look like?
No, I didn't want to manifest that.
I was trying to manifest success.
Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover that your dad
has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
This is going to change my life and my family dynamic forever
because everything that had existed prior in my reality is now untrue.

All right, CNR, Kavino and Rich, your best bugs that you never asked for.
Now, we still have weekend hobnobbing this hour.
I want to remind you of that.
Weekend hobnobbing, what you need?
need to watch in a world of sports and entertainment.
We do it every Friday. So you have
things to hobnob about like Rich Davis in the
hallways on Monday.

Now, before we catch up with Dallas
Goddard, let's take one quickie. I don't want to leave
him holding. Andy in Mississippi.
Pete Alonzo, Polar Bear Pete, is he being disrespected?
What's up, man?
I believe so.
I've been a Mets since the 80s.
We had the Jackson Mets double A team, and I got to see Nell Strawberry, Mookiee Wilson,
Hubey Brooks and all those guys, and it was awesome.
But, yeah, I hate that because he just got the power and at times clutch.
But I did want to ask Rich something.
what is the difference in cyber metrics and saber metrics,
which is what you referred to?
I don't even know.
Did I say the wrong word?
Did I say the wrong?
Cibermetric.
Just say you're doing it on purpose like Cors Light.
Yeah, it's doing it on purpose.
The people is.
Coors Light is refreshing.
The workers in the office.
I thought it was Sabre when they got bought out by Sabre.
Oh, Sabre metrics?
Sobra.
I'll just call it that.
Sabre.
Well, listen.
That's a little baseball.
back to football, divisional weekend,
most exciting weekend in the NFL.
And we got to catch up with Star Tighten,
Dallas Goddard a couple days ago.
A little preview of this weekend,
and here's how it went down.
All right, it's Kavino and Rich,
and his content is brought to you by O Tesla,

Beast, Dallas, Goddard,
an actual O Tesla patient who has been compensated for his time.
Welcome, Dallas. How are you, man?
I'm doing well.
Doing well. Glad to be here
with you guys. I was like I said. You got a big smile on your face. You should because you
rumbled into the end zone, 24-yard touchdown. You were stiff arm and take us through that play.
And how does that feel? Especially in the postseason. Yeah. Touchsons always feel good.
In the postseason, they feel even better. It's definitely up there for one of my favorite
touchdowns in my career. But, you know, it was early in the third quarter. The offense has kind of
been stolen out lately. And it was time to make a play. It was a one-score game. And they brought a cover
zero. Jalen made a check, got the balls in my hands quick. And, you know, I saw a cornerback and I never
want to get tackled by a corner. So, you know, I lowered my shoulder on him, pushed him off me.
He kept chasing me down and I just kept pushing him away, got in the end zone. It was really cool
because the entire stadium got super loud. All my teammates were hyping me up and it was just a really
good feeling. And like I said, getting in the end zone is always fun, but it's always even better
in the playoffs. Do you got that ball or what? Yeah, I got that ball.
You know, I decided this year I'm going to save all my touchdown balls.
I'm going to save all more jerseys, you know, start stacking that memorabilia for sure.
When you in the future picture that touchdown run, do you picture it first person or have you seen the highlight so many times now that you actually picture the highlight?
I actually picture the highlight.
Even though you lived it.
You know, I lived it.
Everything happened so fast.
You kind of just forget about it.
And then you watch the replay obviously more times than you do it because I only get to do it once.
And I've seen it so many times.
I'm just, it's honestly like it's a third person, wherever the camera was.
That's my view that I see it in all the time.
It's so funny.
We always wonder that.
Does the athlete remember the three-pointer, the touchdown, knocking someone out,
or do they picture the highlight?
Yeah, highlight.
Yeah, I would imagine he sees it through his face mask.
And he's like, ah, is it like, ha.
It should be like that.
They need to get little gopros in a.
Right.
Yeah.
Oh, that's coming up.
That'll be sick.
Now, you got the ball.
You got in the end zone.
But if you were Seekwan Barclay late in the fourth quarter on his breakaway run,
would you have taken an ear or gone the distance?
Ooh, that, that's tough.
You know, you always want to say you want to play the situation is really smart, do the right thing.
Happy that we got the first down and we're able to end the game.
But if it was me running the ball, I think I would have taken it all the way to the one yard line and then
taking a knee.
Get those yards, right?
I don't need the touchdown, but I need all the yards I can get.
Yeah, I even saw Devante Smith was like, why didn't he go?
Were your teammates saying like, yo, Sequin, you should have just went.
Yeah, everybody was saying that, but I think he understands.
He's already got 2,000 yards on the year.
He's been racking him up.
So he's like, I'll save my legs for next week.
I applaud that discipline, man.
Yeah, that's tough.
After Jalen returned from the concussion,
you guys, the passing attack hasn't been,
you know, I guess you would say fully in sync.
What's your plan going into this game against the Rams?
We played the Rams earlier in the season.
We were able to get the win.
What I remember the most about them was how good their front was.
They got two defensive ends that play really physical.
They're really good.
So that'll be our biggest challenge going against them is their fronts.
But having last week growing, you know, it's been a long time since our offense played together this year between me, A.J., Devonte, and Sequin.
I think we only played one game together.
And that was the first game of the year and then this playoff game.
So just getting us all back in, figuring out what's going to work, how we're going to attack the defense, what the defense is going to do to take away who they want to.
And that all plays in a fact to it.
But I'm really excited with where we're headed.
And it's going to be a fun game on Sunday against the run.
Rams. Well, you sort of clobbered him last time, 3720, and you got to figure the Rams are
going to make some adjustments this time. So how do you combat that? It'll spend a lot of time in
practice and meetings. The coaches are breaking down the film now. We'll look at it. We'll see things
that they did against formations that we bring out, try to give them different looks, make sure they
don't know what we're running, just kind of tweak little things like that. But after you win that
first playoff game. It gets really excited. Everybody just locks in a little bit more because
you know, each one you win, you get closer to the main goal. So I know the team's super excited and we're
going to be ready going into it. It's going to be a tough matchup. The Rams are playing really good
football at the right time. And so are we. So looking forward to a great matchup. Yeah, the defense got
a lot better since then. Since then, they put up some good numbers defensively. You guys, almost 500
yards against those Rams last time.
Sequin got to be licking his chops.
That was the game against Rams where he put up
255 and two tutty.
So they're going to make adjustments, obviously.
Yeah, for sure. Obviously, last time
they played, Seekwon broke the Eagles
record. So that was a cool day
for all of us. And we're not going to take
that lightly. And, you know, the good
thing about our offense is we can win in so many
different ways. If they want to load the
box and take away Seekwon, we got
two star wide receivers on the outside.
And we have so many different ways.
to win and we got a bunch of unselfish people on the team that whatever role they're asked
of playing that game they'll do whatever they decide to take away they can take away but we have so
many weapons other places that we can rely on let me give you some advice man just keep practicing
that stiff arm in the mirror you know yeah and keep watching that highlight man yeah just keep doing it
I was like saying fired up all week I'll be ready to go not only that maybe read uh inner excellence
have you guys been uh busting a j brown chops at all based on the whole reading the book thing that's like
the big story now we've done
around with him a little bit. Obviously, we've seen him do it multiple times. He's done it when
he's had really good games. He does it when he has bad games. It's just something that he does.
We have a few people that have been contacting the author of the book. We're trying to get one
for everybody on the team. And maybe next week you'll see all 48 of us on the sideline reading
the book. I like it. I got to ask, we're banged up a little bit this year like everyone.
I remember Emmett Smith once telling us, after week one, no one's 100% healthy.
Was it important for you to get back in their week 18 just to tune up before the playoffs?
Is that important?
Yeah, obviously getting back out there, knocking a few of the cobwebs off, see how my leg feels.
You can't simulate the reaction that happens in games at practice.
You can't simulate getting tackled in practice.
So it was really cool to get back out there, catch the ball, see what it feels like to get
tackled again, see kind of how my knee feels doing everything.
And, you know, it felt great.
So it was, just gave me a lot of confidence going into the playoffs.
I got to ask Eagles, they got those sweet throwbacks.
What uniform do you like wearing the most?
Do you like those old school Randall Cunningham looking 80s throwbacks?
Do you like the all black?
Do you like the road whites?
Like, what do you feel the coolest in?
Man, it's, it's tough to beat the Kelly Greens.
It's something that you see, you know, Reggie White.
So many different players had such great careers in them.
So when they brought those back, that was, you know, a dream come true,
being able to wear those for the first time.
They always look super sweet.
And, you know, I definitely like them as an alternate.
I don't think they should be our regular jerseys
because the Midnight Greens are so cool, too.
They just look clean.
And all the jerseys are great.
But I would say my favorites are the Kelly Greens
and the all-blacks.
How do you not feel like a badass in that all-black one, right?
Which one do you think you look the sexiest in?
You know, they always say blacks
is slimming color, I believe.
So, you know, you got to just kind of help something.
my figure a little bit. Now, you've had a great season. Again, Kavino and Rich here with Dallas Goddard,
but Saquan Barkley had an incredible season two. Does he get your MVP vote? I wish he would
have played week 18 with me so we could have got the all-time rushing record, but I'm definitely
giving Saquan my MVP vote and him getting a MVP's, you know, a true team award for us. So,
you know, I know the O-line would give him the vote too. And me being a tight end, I block for him
here and there, too. So he obviously did so many special things this year, things I did. Things
I've never seen on a football field.
So he definitely gets my vote.
And, you know, I'd be proud to tell my kids one day a block for him as well.
Nice.
You're one of many badass tight ends in the NFL.
Are you pals with Kiddell, Kelsey, Leport?
Are you friends with some of these other badass tight ends?
Oh, absolutely.
You know, I think the tight end position has the coolest people in the NFL.
Agreed.
You know, I go to Tidon University every year put on by Kittel, Travis Kelsey, and Greg
Olson. So just try to learn ball, chop it up with them. And we just spend three days together,
all its tight ends and just have a great time with each other. And it's cool because everybody there
has pretty much the same personality. They just want to have fun. They care about each other.
And then once you meet all these people, it's cool because no matter who we play, I always know
somebody on the other side of the ball that I can talk to after the game, pregame.
We're trying to keep growing the tight end position. And, you know, the more plays that we make,
the better it is for all of us.
Well, you're fired up, the divisional rounds.
What do you do the night before?
Do you have trouble sleeping or do you sleep like a baby?
Like, what is the night before a playoff game like for Dallas Goddard?
It's different.
You know, I have no problem sleeping before a regular season game.
But before the playoff games, your mind races a little bit.
Your heart's beating a little bit faster a couple days before the game.
But I just try to focus on my breath work and try to keep myself as calm as I can for as long
as I can.
So I don't waste all my energy just thinking about it being.
excited for it. But yeah, I just sit in the hotel, do my breath work, and just try to relax,
maybe put on a good movie, something that can just keep me calm. What movie you're picking?
Are you a rom-com guy? You an action guy? What does Dallas got her watching to calm down?
Dude, it's a little bit of everything. A lot of the times it'll be one of Adam Sandler's movies.
He's got so many great ones, and you can kind of get so many different, whether you want a comedy,
he's got some action sports one if you're feeling like that. So he's kind of got it all.
so it's probably usually Adam Sandler flick.
You pumped about Happy Gilmore, too?
Oh, I can't wait for that.
I'm super excited about that.
Shout out, you know, Trab made that one.
Yeah.
I can't wait for that one to come out.
Dude, a couple more stiff arms.
You'll make the third one, bro.
Hey, Dallas, we recently saw your Instagram post about your struggles with plaques psoriasis.
Can you tell us about how that impacts your life as a football player?
Yeah, so plaque psoriasis is an autoimmune condition that makes my skin itchy and scaly.
I've been dealing with it since I was a kid,
and sometimes I just want to cover it up on and off the field.
so people won't see my plaques.
I'm assuming with all the football equipment and gear, that's tricky for you.
Especially in the locker room and during summer conditioning when the rest of the team have their shirts off.
I'm the one who's going to leave my shirt on and then I'm uncomfortable because I'm hot and I'm itchy.
We also hear you finally found a treatment for your plaques foriasis that fits your lifestyle.
You're taking OTesla. Can you tell us about it?
I've tried lots of treatments and I've been using different topicals over the years,
but they were greasy and felt so uncomfortable.
They were also tough to apply on those hard-to-reach places under my gear.
doctor about other options and she told me that Otesla is a pill that might be a better
fit for me. How is Otesla different from other things you've tried before? Topicals only treat
the flaky, scaly plaques on my skin, but Otesla is a pill that works inside my body where
plaques psorias begins. There's no mess and unlike topicles, I don't have to worry about getting
all greasy under my gear or sweating it off while I'm playing. With Otesla, I can get clear
skin after just four months and there's no more grease stains on my jersey. Otesla is a prescription
medicine used to treat adult patients with plaques psoriasis for whom phototherapy or systemic
therapy is appropriate. O-Tesla can help you get clearer skin after just four months.
Don't use O-Tesla if you're allergic to it. Get medical help right away if you have trouble
breathing or swallowing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat, or arms.
Severe diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting, depression, suicidal thoughts, or weight loss can happen.
Tell your doctor if any of these occur and if you have a history of depression or suicidal
thoughts. Talking to my doctor about a pill was a total game changer.
sounds like a Dallas. Thanks for sharing your story. And if any of you listening are dealing
with plaques psoriasis, talk to your doctor to see if O'Tesla could be right for you.
Visit Otesla.com for more information or call 1-844 for O-Tesla for prescribing info,
info about cost and more. Good luck this weekend, divisional round. Congrats, brother.
Thank you, man. Thank you.
Dallas got her. Thanks to our pals at O Tesla and Dallas. Hopefully he has a big game this
weekend. Nice guy. Nice catch them up earlier this week with Dallas
Goddard. Hey, we're going to get into some weekend hobnobbing what to
watch in the world of sports and entertainment this weekend. Other than
the divisional round of football, we'll get to that. But first, Manzi Palanoos
with an update. What's up, Monzi? Great interview, guys. Well done.
Thanks, buddy. Yeah, New Jersey League Baseball guys. The suspense is over, even though
we all knew what was happening. Japanese star 23-year-old right-handed pitcher
Roki Sasaki announced on his Instagram.
that he is signing with the LA Dodgers.
No details on the contract yet.
NBA News.
Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler will make his return tonight against the Nuggets.
After serving that seven-game suspension,
he's expected to be in the starting lineup.
786 star, Joel Embed, who missed the last six games with the sprained foot,
is now experiencing swelling in his left knee,
so he's going to be reevaluated in seven to ten days.
This man has played 13 games this season.
That is it.
Don Staley will now be the highest-paid college women's basketball coach,
in the history of the sport after her contract extension with South Carolina
that will keep her with the school until 2030.
Divisional round, you guys just mentioned it.
Ravens wide receivers,
A. Flowers, Delfold for that game against the bills.
Eagles wide receiver, A.J. Brown was removed from the injury report.
He will play against the Rams.
Lastly, here, the Sun Belt Conference is fining league member Marshall $100,000
for opting out of the Independence Bowl.
It's because they lost a lot of players.
They lost their coach.
They're being fined $100,000.
Back to you guys.
Hey, Moncie.
Jiz.
Being a Los Doyers girl.
Jiz.
You and Danny G.
He's my other Dodgers girl.
That's right.
Give me your percentages for when a Japanese pitcher says, I'm going to the Dodgers.
Is it Los Angeles is representative like what a beautiful weather place to live or someone out of the country?
Or is Otani's influence drastic?
I would be lying if I didn't think Otani's the big difference maker here.
But being in L.A., they do.
They do say that the flight from Japan to L.A. is actually really easy.
So they do really like L.A. for family and for traveling purposes.
I heard East Coast might have been off his radar because it's a significantly different.
Exactly.
Like, that is a real thing, which is why the Mariners sometimes have been in conversations of possibly signing a Japanese player.
It's just because the West Coast is easier for them.
Quicker commute and the, like you said, the influence of a guy like Shoha Khan.
Yeah.
And he said he didn't want to go to Toronto because he's not down with Drake.
I heard that too.
I heard that too.
All right, hey, we got more commute on rich
some weekend hobnobbing.
That's all next right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Now, we're not TV weathermen.
Right?
But man, your ass looks like you, Nick Garcia.

Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast.
podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is.
Getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is.
Getting a new one put up in its place.
As long as there's a politics of race in America, there's going to be a politics of race in America.
There's going to be a politics of remembering the Civil War.
To get to school, I had to go down Robert Lee Boulevard.
Get to the grocery store.
I had to go down Jefferson Davis Parkway.
If you're an historian and you leave out half of what the history is, you're not doing your job.
I'm Akila Hughes.
In Rebel Spirit, Season 2 goes deep on both of those things.
The fights, the politics, the people who won,
and my personal campaign to add something to the Kentucky State House
that's actually worth the wall space.
We are more than our bodies.
We contain estes.
since we contain Spirit.
How do you represent that?
They are just fueling a fire that is really catching.
You'll see what I mean.

Keith Giamonka seemed like a mild-mannered suburban dad,
but secretly, he became someone else,
a master of disguise who went on a crime spree.
At the time, did it seem like a crazy idea?
It seemed very crazy, but I felt so desperate that I felt it was the quickest, easiest way out.
Did you allow yourself to think about how it could go wrong on what that might look like?
No, I didn't want to manifest that. I was trying to manifest success.
Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
that is not the look of an innocent man.
This is going to change my life and my family dynamic forever

Today's Friday. Today's Friday.
Bill Belichick saying UNC is the real deal.
Really staying there, huh?
Today's probably.
A speculation of him coming to the NFL?
That's all nonsense.
I think I've already said that.
His college girlfriend probably told him is cool to stay.
It's probably best if you stay there.
Don't you want to hang with coeds?
I just brought powder blue yoga pants.
My sorority sisters are all going to the game, so maybe you should stay.

The Express Pros Pro The Week goes to Dallas.
Gotter.
You know why?
It's a nice guy.
a swell fella.
Because he was nice to you.
Yeah, he really was, though.
Honestly, when you do things like that, do these interviews,
sometimes athletes could be stiffs.
And he really wasn't.
He was very personable, nice dude, six foot five beastadon.
And he had a pretty sweet stiff arm for real.
And we'll be rooting for him this weekend, him personally.
Yeah.
You know, when you grow older and when you work in his business especially,
I can only speak for myself.
I start rooting for people.
Yeah.
Less teams, more people.
I mean, I will always root for.
for the Niners to crush anyone,
but as we interviewed people over the years,
there are certain players that stand out.
And then the worst feeling is when you meet someone
on your team and you don't like them,
and you're like, oh.
Oh, oh.
Like, Pookin the Kua is my dude.
Like him.
We've interviewed him a few times, and he's great.
I'm a Niners fan.
I hope he catches zero catches against the 49ers.
But other than that, I'm rude for Pook and the Coahuah.
Really nice fella.
All right, let's get into some weekend hobnob,
but let's do it.
for the weekend.
Your winning bets for talking points if you get stuck socializing.
You ever done anything dangerous?
You ever dance with the devil and the pale moonlight?
That is dangerous.
Friday brings us.
Weekend Hobnob.
All right.
This is what you need to watch this weekend.
Of course, you have your divisional round of playoffs and we'll be talking about it.
But what else is going on?
I'm going to watch every baseball fan that's not a Dodgers fan figure out how the hell you could beat that team.
Not only in the regular season, come the podcast.
postseason. Your sixth starter could be
another team's one or two. Yeah, it's gross.
It's disgusting. It really is. And I hope
they all get food poisoning in the playoffs. Thank you.
Gross.
Weekend hobnobbing. So if you want to go
to the theater, I saw Nosephiratu. I liked it a lot.
The whole monster movie genre
is making a big time comeback.
You know how like superheroes became a thing again?
Well, guess what? Lockness Monster,
Frankenstein, Dracula.
It's like the renaissance.
About that time.
of all these characters.
So based on the popularity of the invisible man,
the critically acclaimed,
Wolfman's back in his back in theaters.
And Rich, your girl, Julia Garner is one of the stars from Ozark.
Julia, remember?
You thought it was Justin Timberlake, remember?
Oh, that's right.
Yeah, at first.
She had Timberlake in sync hair.
And Matilda Firth, Wolfman, is out this weekend.
I've enjoyed him so far.
So I might check that out.
Beyond SNL, if you ever watch Saturday,
Saturday Night Live. There's a four-episode
docu-series starting this weekend
celebrating their 50 years, but
interviews from all sorts of cast
members, supposed to be great.
That's obviously on Peacock,
Beyond SNL, and
overpromised. I hear that's pretty good.
Episode 76, that's our bonus show.
It's on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page.
We play a game. Name that
Playoff Star, NFL edition.
Star, before they were stars when they were kids.
And we pay homage. We
Do a little tribute to fictional sports characters in honor of Harry Doyle, Bob Euchar, rest in peace.
Oh, and by the way, UFC 311 this weekend, enjoy it.
I do a great Julia Garner impression.
You want to hear it?
Did you watch Ozark?
Are you ready?
Here you go.
Marty.
Marty.
Oh, my God.
Sounds just like her.
I thought it was her.
You know what I saw to watch last night because my wife fell asleep?
And I was like, I'm going to start this without her.
Forget her.
I watched a little bit of Gabe Iglesias, his new stand-up special,
legend of Fluffy.
That's been around for a second.
Any good or not?
You know, he keeps it very clean.
There was a point where he definitely took a turn
like I'm going to be family friendly.
He starts the show by saying,
I've been doing this 27 years,
so a lot of you saw me as a kid
and now you're seeing me as an adult with your kids.
So Fluffy, we saw that he's one of the top billing comedian,
so he's doing well.
The Jerry Springer documentary,
I'm finally going to get around to it.
But you know what I want to tell you guys about?
Because I don't even though if we've talked about this.
The one who lives,
the ones who live,
Walking Dead.
Oh, yeah.
We forgot that this show still went on.
Rick, it's the one with Rick Rhymes.
Like, what happens to Rick?
Remember when he got picked up?
When the bridge blew up and everything?
Do you even make it to that point?
Nope.
Well, anyway, too much.
Rick Rimes, the Walking Dead, the ones who live,
it's the story of Rick Grimes where it picks up with him.
And he's in it, Andrew Lincoln?

I know it's all about NFL playoffs this weekend,
but Sunday night, the Lakers visit the Intuit
dome against the Clippers for the very first time.
