Dallas. I know. Well, we'll play's a couple of them. I'm trying to think how we could be a little bit more discreet about this. a tea in there in the shenanigans and you'll get it. We'll put it this way. There's dueling banjos, so to speak, in the other studio right now. Trumpets.

You know what I mean? trumpet battle. So that's happening in the other studio. And there's people that are caught in the line of fire. And I mean, I'm blown away by who the characters are in this story. So a lot of people recovering or trying to recover from their diets over the weekend for Fourth of July. So what did you eat? What did you guys eat? What did you have? Dogs, burgers. Nice.

Tried to do s'mores. I forgot how bad those are. I love s'm, God. I didn't do any. We did smore's. I didn't do any. I just don't like marshmallows.

Like, I'm not into roasted marshmallows. I realized all these years later. Really? With chocolate, though, on a ground cracker? Just did not taste well. Did you burn it really good? See, I'm with you because they're too chewy.

But if you burn them, like I like burning mine. Like burn them bad boys. I like it. Little Brown, not all the way. Yeah, we get that. Yeah, we got it. You know what I mean? You'd stay away from it.

All right. What are they? Yeah. Uh, but. I actually had a, uh, a revelation this weekend. What did you do? It has nothing to do with food either. Oh, okay.

I had never been to a Costco before. Oh, wow. And it was the most overwhelming experience. I got to be honest with you. I don't think I've ever been the one either. Bro, I walked in there and I was just like, I, I, I, it was like the first time you got a Times Square in New York. There's just like lights.

There's things flashed. There's people. There's, There's cars. You're trying not to get hit. Like, so many things going on. I walked in. I was like, oh, dude, you can get anything here.

Oh, bulk. Which, like, I'm like, hey, less is more or more is less. However we want to describe it in this case, because if I have to come here, like, once a month to grab some stuff, that is a win. And so I'm, like, taking my four kids around, trying to, like, huddle them while I'm being distracted. I mean, I could not get over the, you get a car. You can get a car from Costco. Like, they have, like, a car. a car program there.

There's nothing that they don't have there. I feel like we're giving free advertising right now, but I was blown away. And I know I'm going to get made fun of for this, but I have just not ever had the time or lived like close enough in proximity to a Costco to go to a Costco. That seems like a hell of a good deal. I try and avoid it

at all cost. It's just too I've heard they have good hot dogs too. That was it for me. That was it. I don't want to do it anymore. To Brady's point, there's some people that go there to eat, like the hot dogs, the pizza, It's like they will go there because you can find anything you want there. I've done drop-offs.

I sit in a parking lot and just listen to music. I will not go in. Like before a show? Grocery stores. You know, that is, yes, just like before shows. That's my safe haven.

My vehicle, I sit in my vehicle, no matter what it is. Church, shopping. You name. I sit in the car and wait. I pull in, I see Levar there.

He's just sitting there. Yeah. And he says, like, what's up? But it doesn't really like, doesn't really, you know, preach into a conversation. Yeah, I don't want a conversation. I just go into a student. He's just, he's just, you just hear the music ball.

I love y'all to death. But, but you know what's crazy is Jonas has really embraced it because Jonas will not acknowledge me at all. Nope. At this point, Jonas just, he's head straight. I open the car door one day. I was like, bro, like what? Like, what's up? You're having your time.

I don't want to interrupt. Very true. So I'm respectful of it. But you literally act like I'm not there. Yeah. I'll put my hand up and be like, no. Not right now. I clearly start doing the Sanford and Sun Song as soon as you pull in.

So like, you're getting out of the car. I'm like, dun-dun-d-da-dum. And then you don't even look at me. I'm like, oh, forget you then. Yeah, well. I'll see you in two minutes. Damn. All right.

So there is some optimism for a certain team in the NFL. Ain't the Jets. Yeah. That team would be. No one of this team on this show. Yeah, that team would be the Chicago Bears. Oh. There's some optimism.

Get excited. Now, LeVar's guy, a guy who he called, and I quote on our morning show, and Brady can attest to this. I'm just an accurate quote or not. Yeah, 100%. LeVar said, and I quote, Caleb Williams is the most inspirational player I've ever seen in my life. Inspirational? Yeah, that's what you say. I think you mistook me for emotional.

Oh. It was emotional. Okay, I just wanted. I get so emotional, baby. Every time I lose again So if you take a gander And you go over to draft kings I mean, did he hop in the

And just got here And you made the passage Like you're emotional If I ever was good enough To play I would have done that Would you have done it? Hell yeah I mean, get mom's props for being strong enough to grab him and pull him up, by the way.

I mean, she grabbed him, pulled him up, held him, covered his face. I didn't know how many hands she had. She had like six hands, man. A mama's love, like, you know, they figure it out. Well, you know who's figured it out? Matt Eberfluse, the head coach of the Chicago Bears. All of a sudden, he is the favorite to win coach of the year in the NFL, followed by Robert Sala and then Jim Harbaugh. So Matt Iverfluse with a brand new quarterback.

What is this based off of? Well, listen, I mean, they're just projections. What's the projections? Caleb Williams. Is that it? Damn right. Yeah. Okay.

Hemekyton Allen. CW18. You want to wager on it? You want to bring live bet Jesus into this one? Even though it ain't a lab bet. Putting a wager on. If Matt Iber flus wins coach the year. Yes.

I don't like that bet. I think Caleb Williams is going to win rookie of the year. I think he'll win rookie year. I'll bet that. You know what? I'll give you the field. I'll take Caleb Williams. If you're giving me the field, I'll take that.

Okay. I'll take that. Gentleman's wager or a donation? What are we doing? Write it down. Somebody write it down. Lee's got this. He sources.

Yeah, sure he does. We'll do a $100 donation. Lee's holding on to a different type of people right now. Is he not even in studio? Yeah, you got to be careful when you write on one ply. But so Matt Eberfluse, he's got this new quarterback. He's got this new quarterback. Number one pick of the draft.

They've added pieces around him, not just Keenan Allen, but they went out and added Gerald Ebert. He's going to be there as well, too. They've added DeAndre Swift. He's there as well too. The offensive line, people think, is promising. they've shown flashes. Defensive's pretty good.

Defensively and Maddie Buflu's defensive head coach. My baby, Kwani B in the back. That's right. So if Shane Waldron, the O.C, can get the offense on track, it would make some sense that maybe they would take some strides,

but it's also an acknowledgement that, you know, Justin Fields was maybe holding them back at times last year. I think they end up third or fourth in the NFC north. third or fourth in their own division. So if that equates to you getting coach of the year

and getting rookie of the year, then let's go with it. But I see Detroit winning it. I see Green Bay maybe adging Detroit out to win it. So that would give them a second place. So if you want to flip-flop Detroit and Green Bay. And the only reason why I would say they have odds favor on Minnesota, is because they have a rookie quarterback as well

that possibly that's going to start as well. You got two rookie QBs, but they're going to be battling it out for third and fourth as well in their respective division, if you ask me. So I don't know how you get coach of the year or get rookie of the year, depending on maybe his performances, but, you know, it is what it is to me.

That's how I see it. They went 7 and 10 last year, right? They started off 3 and 14 Hebruflu's first year, 7 and 10 last year, which, you know, really, you could look at the job that they've done on the roster, I think as part of the growth that you saw from Justin Fields, but also around him.

I mean, getting him DJ more, getting him some help, the offensive line plays better. That's the big question, is the roster in a position around the quarterback position? To be able to, look, Caleb Williams could be generational. That was what the word people throw around about them. You know, the only comp you can really make to them, some people look at Rogers as far as the way you kind of throw off platform and kind of the flick of the wrist, some say Mahomes, whatever you want to compare him to.

When you're using those two names as a comp, clearly people think he's special. And so if he is that special, how high could he take him in his first year? I mean, I think he could get them to a winning record. But if you look at the division around them, I mean, Minnesota's probably going to be starting a rookie quarterback. I think it's going to be JJ McCarthy. If not, it's going to be Sam Donald to start off with. And so maybe you feel more optimistic about that. I'm not really sure how people feel.

I think Sam Darnold, with a talent they have in Minnesota, could really flourish, could play really well in that system. We've got to see. Can Detroit replicate what they did last year? I mean, that's a team that everyone's excited about. They're excited to watch them maybe this time around. You listen to guys like Aidan Hutchson talk about getting the Super Bowl now. Like this is their year.

They feel like they're going to get to the NFC championship game, move on, get the Super Bowl. That's where they feel like they're at. And maybe they are. it's really, really hard to sustain that level of consistent success. So I'm not saying they're going to be a playoff team. I think they're going to improve on the 7-10 record. I think they get to 8-9, 9-and-8.

Their schedule is kind of funky. That's the only way I can put it. But it's not the most difficult schedule. The buy comes about halfway through the season. They start off with Tennessee at Houston at Indy. And then they go to L.A., Carolina, Jacksonville. It's like spurts of home and then away. Because they come out of the buy plan back-to-back road games.

That seems like a favorable deal, though. Kind of? I mean, I don't know how you guys feel about that. Like, they will basically play a home game, November 24th. I mean, I know you're high in Carolina, but, you know, I think they might be able to pull that one on the home. I'm not high on the phone. We're going to get to them soon. But hear me out.

Hear me out. They play at home November 24th. They don't come back home again until December 22nd. So that's how their schedule kind of shapes out. It's a weird, streaky schedule. And I think sometimes it's hard when you've got either new pieces, your young pieces, when you have to navigate a schedule like that. It's hard to get into a rhythm when you're back-to-back weeks on the road,

three weeks at home, back-to-back weeks on the road, a couple weeks at home. It's tough to adjust to when you're first year playing. But I do think they'll be improved. I also like how the schedule makers are like, all right, so it's the Bears turn to play the AFC South. How do we want to break this up? We'll give them Tennessee, Houston, Indy the first three weeks. All right, that works. and then we'll figure out everything else after that,

and then they go play overseas, and they've got that buy that you mentioned. So if they're a nine-win team, which would be an improvement over the seven from a year ago, does that get you coach of the year? Like, I look at it, I think Jim Harbaugh at 11 to 1 is the one to watch for coach of the year,

because there's more knowns than there is in Chicago. Like, we know Justin Herbert's a good quarterback. We know that Jim Harbaugh is a good coach. We know that last year, a lot of that had to do, with the Brandon Staley debacle and the fiasco there. Herbert got injured at some point during the season. I look at Jim Harbaugh as being the one to watch for a coach of the year next year.

Because I just think there's more that you can count on there that you've seen. I'm going to go out on the ledge and say I'm looking at a horror ball to be the coach of the year, but not Jim. I'm looking at John. God, you're going to do it again. I knew it. The one seat, let me tell people behind the scenes. This is what happened here. LaBar and I

had picked the Ravens to go to a Super Bowl or make a deep run for years. They keep letting us down. And they always let us down. And then last year... Since we started the show, really. Last year was the year,

I jumped off a bad way. This is the year, though, boys. This is the year. This is the year. But last year was the year that we were finally like, all right, I'm out on Baltimore. They've broken our hearts too many times.

And then they go and host an AFC title game before they melted down against KC. And so now it's like all right, no, no, now we're going to get back. That's why I'm not. That's why I'm not.

That's why I'm not. No, I'm not doing it. I'm not going to reverse course. But you took a horror ball. Think about it. I'll take Jim. I'm going to stick with John. Yeah.

This years for John. Well, I'm taking John. The great Pat Bowling. So, Brady, who's your coach of the year? You got to put your harder and Costco dollars down on some coach of the year action,

who you got. Oh, man. That's a tough one. Because I feel like this is one of the harder award winners in the NFL season to predict only because, you know, you look at a team that suffers a bunch of injuries like Cleveland last year. And then it leads to Kevin Stafantz having four quarterback star for him. That's a great point.

And so it's like you're not anticipating a team battling through adversity like that. True. Oh, man. Because in my head, I'm thinking. more similar to LeVar, like John Harbaugh, a team that finally gets over the hump, get to the Super Bowl, like they win it. But oftentimes it ends up being a team that battles through something. I hear your, you want to give you the odds, the list of names. All right. So Iber Fluse is the favorite on draft kings at 9 to 1, followed by Robert

Sala, LeVar's guy, and then Jim Harbaugh at 11 to 1. And then you've got Matt LaFleur, Rahim Morris, Domeico Ryan's, Jonathan Gannon, Dan Campbell. Demico Ryan's is a good one. If he can have a repeat performance of last year, that's a good one to throw in the mix. Yeah, because, I mean, he was essentially second this year, right? Was he? I mean, he's...

I thought he was next up to Stefanski in the voting. Is that not right? I think so. That would have been who I voted for, otherwise outside of Stefanski. I mean, what a bang-up job he did. If he can do that again this year, dude, man, why wouldn't he get it?

probably and then I got to be responsible somebody somehow he's got to help you change a tire and do something he doesn't want any part of that hey Lee did I invite you to any festivities this past weekend this past weekend no but I always get the invite You know what I'm saying? But I ain't invite none of y'all.

Why do you always get the invite? Yeah. I always get invites. I mean, Levar, I'll put it this way, though. I don't know if he should invite Lee, like, based on his taste in things. Like, he's more of a threat. That is a good point. That is a good point.

I mean, I'll be having people at my house. He'd be all right. Yeah, but he's a potential threat. I'm just saying. Yeah, but he'll take food to go. He's coming over looking to eat. That's good. That's good.

There'll be people that fit his, you know, his category that'd be trying to eat as well. He might get caught off guard. Like, whoa, hold on. They're actually friendly at the Arrington house. Lee, did you tell them that I called you because I was going to liquor store to pick up some booze for a Fourth of July party? I woke Lee up, but he did proceed to give me great advice for the next 40 minutes. Yeah, did I? Yeah, I steered you right.

What was the advice? You got to go Middle shelf, not top shelf, not bottom shelf. We were in the middle gray area, some good stuff. Yeah, he was trying to give me a good value. We're all over the map.

It was rum, tequila, vodka was easy, Berman, I think we went through. There was nothing Lee wasn't aware of. He was very well-versed in all the different sorbts at the liquor store. A little something for everybody. You got to get that good liquor,

Hey, LeVar just, Lovart is dusted off the blowdark gun. I'm telling you bad. There's civilization and we have a window. It's in this studio. A studio of the window is like a game changer here. Like all of a sudden, all of a sudden everything is readily available.

All right, so coming up in about, uh, coming up in about 20 minutes from now, we're going to tell you and you're going to hear some strong words that somebody has for his teammates this summer. So we will get into that for you again, about 20 minutes from now. So stop me if you've heard this before. The Carolina Panthers are moving on from a high-ranking official within the organization.

No, it's not a head coach this time. But apparently, just kind of quietly, the Panthers VP of player personnel, Adrian Wilson, he has left the team. There was no announcement. There was no anything. Somebody pointed out that his name was no longer shown on the website as part of the front office. When pro football talk reached out to get confirmation on this, the Panthers said, yeah, so he's, you know, Adrian Wilson will not continue in his position as vice president of player personnel for the Carolina Panthers.

Consistent with our organizational policy on employee matters, we will have no further comment. He's sure you won't. He just got there a year ago. I don't know. Q? He just got there a year. ago. What the hell's going on? Let me just give people a track record, too, who aren't familiar with Adrian Wilson.

Longtime veteran player for the Cardinals forever, spent a year in New England, I think finished in the offseason with the Bears back in 2014, but immediately jumped back to the Cardinals organization in their front office as a scout, has risen up the ranks, and probably over the past, you know, four or five years. He's been one of those names, that's been one of the hot names looking at taking that leap to becoming a general manager. He's interviewed for a number of those spots. He's very high in a lot of people's radar is in that regard. So very, very well respected and obviously left Arizona as the VP of scouting in his final

years there to take the opportunity to be the VP of player personnel in Carolina. Now, what could happen between now and then in the past year? I've got a couple thoughts. I mean, the first would be, I don't know, imagine having an owner that is so upset with a signed at a local establishment in Carolina that he just happens to pop in and give hell to the hostess or the other of the host

and on top of that make a comment about the hat that particular individual is wearing that's all caught on camera mind you or better yet what was if that same owner happened to throw a drink which I forget what you claimed it was it which did a Molotov cocktails that what you said

Oh minor fluid in someone's face I imagine that it would come from an organization with that sort of ownership. So this to me points and smells like everything to do with David Tapper and the way he's conducted himself since he's taken over this team and not so much an indication of what Adrian Wilson did or did not do. Adrian Wilson will land on his feet somewhere

and will become a general manager one day. Mark my words on that. So basically what it sounds like is it comes down to sometimes it's just, I'm a man first. sometimes it's just kind of like respect the situation where you allow me to act as the position that I

have. And to me that's how I'm interpreting it. Just knowing Adrian Wilson and knowing who he is and knowing the type of person that he is and the type of player that he was, he's a warrior. And there's some people that just, you know, they're willing to handle and shoulder and and kind of deal with, you know,

what we'll call maybe could be distractions, could be unnecessary influencing or conversations. You know, almost like if Adrian Wilson was working for the Dallas Cowboys, right? That might not work, right? You're in my air. You're not allowing me to do what I need to do. and sometimes I was watching

what show was that I was watching Clipped and how the dude the owner would talk to Doc Rivers at times when he'd come in the locker room with the fans and stuff like that and be like oh well it's my team

you know some people just don't really get down like that if you're hiring me to be a part of your organization to do what I can to make your organization a better organization allow for me to do my job You know, so many times we run, I won't say so many times, I'll just say this.

And my experience in the National Football League, my experience right out the gate, you had someone who was really all about flexing and really putting their influence on people of the decision-making positions and the organization. What are you talking about? You know. A little Danny? I mean, little Danny. And I just think sometimes you can allow your sense of value and worth, what your value and worth is you're the owner of the team.

You own the team. Like, relax. Let these guys do it. You get all the credit because you hired them. Relax. But they can't do it. And just there's some guys out here that just don't play that type of game. Like Adrian Wilson, the type of dude, be like, I'm going to.

step down from this position. I'm going to move on. And oh, by the way, if you would like, after you accept my resignation, if you would like to meet me outside in the parking lot, I will gladly handle you

outside. Man to man, I'll gladly handle the situation the way you want. We can handle it like, gentlemen, we could go outside in the parking line and we could thump. Like, that's the type of person that A.D. Wilson is, so I wouldn't mess with him. You imagine Adrian Wilson beating up David Tepper in a parking lot.

He's still yoked up. Adrian is still, still could give you that work. See, that's a celebrity boxing match I want to see. I want to see Adrian Wilson versus David Tepper. He punched a hole in that man's chest. So here, like this is what's interesting because we've kind of laid out on our show in the morning. And then, you know, last time we filled in, we talked a little bit about Adam Thieland's words about Bryce Young and what he's seen, the differences and all that. like the amount of turnover and all the people that have left there,

whether it's Frank Reich, whether it's Matt Ruhl, whether it's David Tepper, whoever's just come in close contact with that organization that is not there and it's a quick trigger. They get rid of guys so fast. Nobody's come out after the fact and like buried David Tepper of the organization. Is that just all part of a keep it quiet and we'll pay you? Just keep your mouth shut.

Is that all part of this? because I'm waiting for somebody to just say, just lay into it. Like how bad it really is there. And nobody's done that yet, but it's clear to everybody on the outside. It's a disaster. Yeah, but think about, I mean,

what good does that do for you? Correct. You're going to have to, you're professional, you're going to have to answer to that with another owner, whether you're going to be another head coach interviewing for that job

or a general manager job, that doesn't benefit you. So it doesn't, it doesn't benefit you for that standpoint, for the future, but also in the short term, if you're getting paid out whatever was owed on the rest of your contract, you don't want to do anything to mess that up. That's right. You don't want to disparage or do anything that could potentially, you know, yeah, I mean,

harm the name of the past organization that's paying you millions. I mean, that's why a lot of coaches, especially if they feel like they're wrong, instead of going in coaching or taking another opportunity because they might have offsets where it'll lessen the impact it has on their former employer, they'll say, no, I'm just. set out. I'm going to make sure those guys pay me every single cent and they feel it until they're done paying out what I was out. Absolutely. They go

do media, right? Go do media stuff. Go do something that isn't in that or that arena. Or consult, right, there you go. I mean, Frank Reich basically said afterwards, yeah, I'll never coach in the NFL again. That's it. Like, you just, you know, I love coaching, love being around it, but my days in the NFL are done. And he took

whatever, I think it was $20 million or whatever he got and he just kind of bailed. Well, it's not that bad of a not coming back. No, I mean, let's take this $20 million. You know, I'm just go live my life. Go fish. You know, go learn how to fish, man. I mean, hey, it is what it is.

You know, it's a hard-knocked life. You know what I mean? I mean, Matt ruled to, how long was Matt Rule out? Just a year long. If Don Martin and Scott want to fire me for $20 million, you know, I can say. I'm getting that. Not me. I'd like to be here.

We love, no, love my job. We know. I'm a hard hat, lunch, a guy. Grateful for the opportunity to be here at Fox Sports Radio. Great job. What station around again? Fox Sports Radio. Fox.

Fox. That's how that goes. But that's why I look at this whole situation with Bryce Young. And I thought about this too because everyone says, well, the Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud comparison. It's like, well, you can't really compare because one's in an awful situation. But Houston was that team for a while. They were turning and burning coaches after one year. Turning and burning.

They had all sorts of issues. You had that weirdos in Cleveland now. who was there and just decided he didn't want to be there any longer. Uh, massage Watson. He was there and he decided he didn't want to be there any longer. And after he signed the contract extension, there was the D'Andre Hopkins stuff. Like Houston went through all that. It's almost like Cal McNair kind of took a step back and realized I got to trust Amico

Ryans. I've got to trust the organization. But they were a high operating organization up until Bill O'Brien took over the GM duties. Won't we say that? Yeah. I mean, he was doing well as a coach. They were doing well as an organization. Yeah.

I don't know what the organizational component is in Houston. I just know that they had great success for an extended amount of time. We're very close. I mean, they were one of the teams. He won the division. Right. Like four of the seven years he was head coached there. The one year, they were spanking the chiefs in the playoffs and just like let them come back.

You know, it is what it is. Let them off the hook. Let them off the hook. We knew who they were. But the thing about it is is that that's a team. that all they needed was that belief renewed and restored and that that came through that came shining through with somebody who was a part of that success as a player in Domeko Rines I look at this Carolina Panthers situation it's very

different because while they did have success it was under a different owner for one it was a different era in time era and you had Cam Newton and you had Julius peppers on one side of you you you had some heckley Thomas Davis heckley you had Tommy David, who was in the backfield? DeAngelo and who was others? And then you had another one in the backfield. You, I mean, you had Steve Smith. They were loaded.

Greg Olson. Yeah, Greg Olson. The point I'm making is that they were able to... Ricky Proll. Ricky Pro! They were able to build a... The Panthers, Rikipati page, Jonas. That's all off the top of my head. Masein Muhammad.

very quickly if he wants to be a good organizational owner of the Carolina Panthers or does he want to run it into the ground? That's what it sounds like. Do you want to be a good store over this organization, this franchise that you've purchased? And why would you not want it to succeed? Why would you not want to be the person that wants the people that come to work for you want to work for you? So you said this about the Jets. You've never seen great players. Offset dysfunction.

I've never seen it. So basically Bryce Young screwed. He screwed. Yeah. Yes. That's just. Yeah. Basically, yeah.

That's what I'm saying. That sucks, man. I like Bryceon. I mean, he's got. I mean, he's been there long enough. There's signs that say there's dysfunction, right? Like, to have a guy just step away of. Yeah.

Every three, four weeks, something pops up. It's hard to, it's hard to overcome. It's like the Cowboys, except they're not any good. They start, I mean, they just don't have the fanfare. Right. I mean, they're kind of on the same level. Yeah, that's too bad. Not really.

But right now, at the end of the playoffs and the way he was playing, trending out. I mean, he was every bit as good as where maybe like LeBron is at this point in his career. You don't think so? So what you're saying is that 20 years from now, Anthony Edwards Jr. will get drafted in the second.

and at this point in his career is every bit as impactful on a game that he plays in as a 40-year-old he's the most entertaining player in the league as well too a 40-year-old is that a shot music yeah a 40-year-old how is that a shot damn because you're calling him old you're saying he compares to the old bird you're right not in the prime lebron james that's on team USA right that's very true because the prime lebron james is taking you to the champions i guess i'm just asking you like is that okay if we're saying anthony ever it's the future face of the league. Like, he already knew that was happening and they were going to get the deal done.

And he was like kind of a nod, nod, wink, wink at Stephen A. Smith the whole time. I mean, isn't this a different version of James Hart and being there? That didn't work. Do they not have like any sort of tampering charges That sort of thing? No, I don't think so. Not yet.
