I apologize for the lack of energy. I'm focusing on Super Bowl prop bets. This is an actual prop bet. Are you ready for this? Yeah. Who will be shown first during the National Anthem? Taylor Swift or Jason Kelsey. Ooh, are they trying to trick you with the cover? Travis Kelsey.

No, no, Jason Kelsey. He's going to be at the game. He's his brother, obviously. In the audience, who are they going to show? Jason Kelsey or Taylor Swift? I would guess Jason Kelsey. That's one of the better prop bets. See, there's a lot of them.

Do they save Taylor Swift for last? Do they lead with her and everybody's groaning? Not everybody, but the certain audience that you spoke to. There's a lot of these fun prop bets for the Super Bowl. go through some Friday if you were very interested. Let's do that. You want to? So, um, the media does, believe it or not, fake news.

The media does some good stuff. Um, but one of the things that media is terrible at and I try to avoid it. I've done it before, but I try to avoid it is giving small loud groups oxygen. Ignore them. 95% of people think Taylor Swift is great. and I just looked at numbers. She's helping the ratings. There's a 53% increase among 12 to 17-year-olds,

a 34% rise in 35 and up. More people are watching football because of Taylor Swift. Awesome. I remember when the Kaepernick thing happened. And if you didn't like it, kneeling during the anthem, I got it. It was off-putting to a lot of Americans that had served, not served. I understood it. I am not marginalizing you.

I get it. But I rolled my eyes at the Oh, never watch football again. See in a year. What are you going to do in your small town? It's Sunday. You're home from church. What are you going to do?

All your friends are watching. The ratings are up on all the networks, despite Kaepernick. And you didn't say you were coming back. You threatened. I'll never. never capital in watch the NFL again capital a period capital p y'all came back hockey in Canada soccer in Europe and NFL football in America too big to fail it's in our DNA we love it

major league baseball has made mistakes for 30 years the dodgers draw four million people this year over it the Braves draw over three people like baseball in the summer nobody watches hockey in America. NHL in Canada, they haven't won a Stanley Cup in 30 years. I was sitting around like eight Canadians last night at dinner. You know what? Do you see their last TV deal? Huge.

NBA's made some mistakes. Getting very international. They're seeking $75 billion in their next contract, and they'll get close to it. Roger Goodell on Taylor Swift, his thoughts, here it is. Taylor is obviously a dynamo. Everything she touches, there are people following. And so we encounter ourselves fortunate and we welcome it. Having the Taylor Swift effect is also a positive. Listen, both Travis and Taylor are wonderful young people. They seem very happy. She knows great entertainment. And I think that's why she loves NFL football. But I think it's great to have her a part of it. Obviously, it creates a buzz. Stop giving loud, lonely, angry men a tiny percent oxygen. I'll never watch again. Y'all came back.

Football's what we watch on Sunday. It's church with leather, with cleats. It's who we are. It's soccer in Europe. It's hockey in Canada. They have hockey night in Canada. It's actually seven nights a week. In Toronto, they never win the cup.

It's still hockey night in Canada every night. It's okay. But I think we do in the media, we do a disservice to ourselves. Whenever I remember when the Kaepernick numbers came down like 4%, 5%, and I'm like, so 95% of people didn't turn away. That's the story, not the four that needed attention. By the way, if you don't want to watch, turn it off. But you notice how many of the people that threatened not to come back wanted to make sure you heard them.

Right? Like the people, this turns me off. Well, not according to the data. People like it. And if you don't, keep it to yourself. I don't need to know what you had for lunch. I don't need every meal on Twitter. I don't need every opinion on Twitter. Sometimes, angry?

Keep it to yourself. Nick Wright, first things first. He does this on Tuesday. I will say, Nick, I think you and I are going to fall into this category. I am surprised the Niners were not only favored, but have continued to be favored. And my take is, we know their best players. The Chiefs, I think, have as many really good players,

but they're young outside of Chris Jones, Kelsey Mahomes. That's the, I mean, every analytic tells me better quarterback, coach is better on a buy, they've been better in this game. How surprised are you not only named a favorite, but have remained a favorite, San Francisco? up. Well, I'm not surprised at all. I mean, listen, the Niners have been fit. The Niners are going to be the first team in seven years since the 2017 Patriots to be favored in every single game of the season. They're going to be just the sixth team in modern NFL history to be favored 19 or more times in a year. They'll actually be favored 20 times, but that's thanks to the extra game, of course. This is, to me, not that surprising because that's, There has been a concerted media effort for the last four months that, despite my attempts to push against, has been talking about this Chiefs team as if they are broken frauds.

As if they, yes, they have a Hall of Fame coach and the greatest quarterback we've ever seen and a wildly underrated defense. But I don't know, that wide receiver three position has been shaky, so that's why the Browns are a better bet to win the AFC. You right now, Colin, are a man that has been throwing matches and kerosene around a house and you're walking outside and you're like, why's that thing on fire? You, what are you called, Colin? The most trusted voice in sports media?

Is that what it is? The honesty. Well, when that person, America's Odyssey broker, for four months, when the show's on fire getting record ratings is telling people what's wrong with the Chiefs, They're not all of a sudden going to think the Chiefs are great. I'm glad you're coming around. Yeah. But you've done this.

You and your ilk have done this. So let's just make money off it, I guess. I said this before to JMAQ, we got into a heated altercation earlier. I said, I think the Chief's dynasty is great for the league. The Patriots wasn't. It was boring and very provincial. Alabama's wasn't. Tim Duncan crushed ratings.

Not every dynasty is fascinating. Reggie Bush and USC was good for the sport, right? Like that was big for the sport. Michael's Bulls. Yeah, great for the sport. Was great for the sport. Now, and not all dynasties become a villain. A lot of times New England, we were like, cheaters, I don't see the Chiefs as villains.

Do you? Well, so I think that they are disliked while also being really, really good for the sport. So I think they're disliked for a couple of reasons. There's obviously, and I think it's larger than 5%, I think it's probably closer to 10, 15% of people that simply hate Taylor Swift, Travis Kelsey, what they think their politics are and that stuff. But take that out of it. I think the fact that the Chiefs never struggled.

They never, so Jordan's Bulls were not villains, and Brew pointed this on the show yesterday, You saw them for six years. I know the NBA pretends Michael's career was six years long, but it wasn't. For the first six years, you saw them fight, fight, fight, fight, lose. Fight, fight, fight, lose. And then they finally broke through. LeBron and the Heat were hated until they lost to the Mavs,

and then all of a sudden people softened on him. The fact that the Chiefs were instantly awesome with Patrick, His first year, 50 touchdowns, 5,000 yards, they lose an epic AFC title game. And since then, they've played in four or five Super Bowls, one, two, and we'll see if they went a third. I think people, I think that there is a real animosity to the fact that they've been this good. And there's two other factors that I'm curious your take on. One is, I think people, when they traded away Tyreek, they were like, okay, now is going to be the moment. Then they win the Super Bowl.

And then this year, when they struggle throughout the year, they're like, okay, now's the moment, and they're back in the Super Bowl. So they feel like when is it going to end? But the other element, I think, is I don't think people realize, if you're a fan in the AFC, how brutal this last quarter century has been. So from the tuck rule, Colin, until today, if you're in a, here are the AFC quarterback Super Bowl appearance. Tom went to nine, Patrick has gone to four, Peyton went to four, Big Ben went to three. So in the last basically 25 years, there's the random flacco, Rich Gannon, and Joe Burrow. So you have a dozen cities in one conference that are like, you got to be kidding me. We didn't, you know, because we didn't get Peyton, Brady, or Mahomes, my entire, you know,

adult life, my team can't even make a Super Bowl. Right. So I think because it's coming on the heels of Brady, Manning, Big Ben, has made it even harder to swallow for the rest of the fans of the conference. But you make a really good point, and I'll push back on this. Well, not even push back. I'll add a layer to it. But Brady was available to everybody six times,

and Mahalmers was available to 10 teams. So there's a reason the Chiefs and Patriots, they earned their greatness. Oh, that's right. That's right. So it's not like Peyton was taking number one. Nobody had a shot at him. Let's go back on Mahomes.

When did you realize? And I know you're from Kansas City, but he only played one game his first year. When did you realize take the fandom out? Oh, the hell. We may have something like this may be special. So I So it was not draft day They exist somewhere in the Twitter sphere

There is an angry tweet for me That they didn't draft a Sean Watson That exists that's somewhere out there Like because I watched Watson Dominate at Clemson and be so great and special I wanted them to take quarterback I didn't think it would be Patrick

But I came around I was intrigued when and maybe you guys can pull it before the end of the show. The single, and this is according to next-gen stats, whatever it is, the single longest pass thrown ever recorded in an NFL game preseason or regular season is a Mahomes pass to Tyree kill his rookie year in the preseason against Atlanta. It was like 82 yards in the air. And the moment that happened, I was like, okay, well, this is exciting because I've been watching Alex Smith dink and dunk for the last half decade. And then his first year as a starter, it was actually the game, sadly, that Jimmy G. blew out his knee.

He has a play against San Francisco going to the south end zone where he scrambles around for like eight seconds and then throws across his body into the end zone. And I said, okay. And I think the next week he threw six touchdowns against Pittsburgh. And I was like, well, this is the greatest moment of my life. Like, I've never seen anything like it. Like between the Chiefs went 35 years between wins by a quarterback they drafted. It was Todd Blackledge to Patrick Mahomes between wins, a single regular season win. And so, but the point you made about how the Chiefs got Patrick, I think it's really underrated.

They were a perennial playoff team. Right. They had their quarterback. They had the 27th pick. And Brett Veach, who is now the GM, was a scout at the time. Yep. Had been, you know, extolling the virtues of this kid from Texas Tech for three years. That's right.

And then the Saints let leak that at 11 they were going to draft Mahomes. And the Kansas Chiefs paid a super high premium to go all the way from 27 to 10 to move in front. front of the Saints and draft Patrick. And the other part of the story that doesn't get told or remembered is the team that traded away that draft pick is the Buffalo Bills, the team that Patrick Mahomes has now tortured in the postseason. They had the 10th pick, they traded it to Can City. Nobody cares now because they're like, oh, it all worked out because Buffalo the next year

got Josh Allen. Josh is an excellent player. I'm here to tell you when you trade away Babe Ruth, it does not all work out. It works out great for the team that got him. And so, yeah, there was some real foresight involved in then getting him. So it's interesting in almost any other profession. If you were, I'll give you an example near you, Westchester County is over there in like Connecticut, New York area. It's very wealthy.

If you were the third best real estate agent in Westchester County, you would be considered a wildly successful person. Wildly. If you were the second third best real estate agent in Atlanta. Dallas, you'd be the richest person in your social circle. You'd be wildly marketer, promoter, brilliant. But in sports, if you don't win a trophy, I don't know. I don't know, because we have standings. And I look at Kyle Shanahan, and I really don't think less of him

because he doesn't have a ring. And I don't think he's going to win Sunday. And I'm like, okay, he loses to read in Mahomes. Yeah, okay. Will you think less of him? If he loses Sunday, you won't either. No. I think this is now where he becomes a victim of his own success. Because what people will say, and by that I mean this, some will frame it as Kyle Shanahan,

O and two in Super Bowls, O and three, if you include the one with the Falcons. I know that's not on him, but he was the offensive coordinator. I look at it very differently. Kyle Shanahan made two Super Bowls with Jimmy Garoppolo and Brock Purdy as his starting quarterback for the entirety of his tenure in San Francisco. Kyle Shanahan got, Matt Ryan is a good player. They were the eighth highest scoring team in NFL history that year. Matt Ryan won league MVP. And so I understand the end of that game went poorly.

the end of the first Niners Super Bowl went poorly. But there is a level of he, because he is so, I think, great schematically. I think Kyle's scheme plus John Lynch's personnel are the real heroes of this team. And then if we're just like, oh, you lost another Super Bowl. This is where, and you and I are some of the last people, I think, standing strong on this. This is where I get, I feel like the Brock Purcell. discussion, people are being a little intellectually dishonest when they're like, what will it take for you to respect him? And it's like, well, I do respect him. And there have been some

things he's done that have impressed me. But if you want me to say right now, look at their record, look at their stats, how can you argue Justin Herbert's better than Brock Purdy? My answer is, I just don't think you understand football if you feel that way. If you would look at, and so, do I think that the Niners? Would Kyle Shanahan be considered the best coach in the league and be going for a dynasty of his own? If the last four years they have the same personnel

and Justin Herbert on his rookie contract? Yeah, probably. And I don't think Kyle Shanean's less of a coach because he has reached the absolute three levels above the ceiling with a number of very, you know, with a very limited quarterback in Jimmy G and a somewhat limited quarterback in Purdy.

I think it's a testament to him. What are you drinking there? By the way, a lot of people say a good bourbon before a show. I drink. What do you mean? I mean, what are you talking about? What am I drinking here? I drink coffee to keep my energy up. I have all these takes to give you.

You haven't even asked why I'm not wearing a jacket. My sleeves are rolled up, but I assume it's because you watch yesterday's show. It's because, of course, it's never a doubt week. And so every day this week, we got to have this to remind people that while you were out here picking against Kansas City every chance you got, there were those of us that had no doubts. Those of us that never had a doubt. So it's never a doubt week. And it will, of course, culminate. and our annual trip to Kansas City for the parade.

It would be a great time, Colin, for you to make your first ever visit to Kansas City. It's the only major American city you haven't been to at this point. It's a little personal. You've got to get there before the World Cup does. Don't like your airport. Finally. We got a brand new airport.

We literally got a new airport. Not for you, for the drafting for the World Cup, new airport. It's a gorgeous airport. What did you say? What do you say? What do you say? I said it's a hard pass, Nick. Sorry.

Okay, finally. Hard pass? Well, luckily, J. Mack, I didn't know. I don't know if you were listening. I didn't invite you. I said, Colin, come on. You can come to Kansas for the parade. So, finally, got about 90 seconds to two minutes.

Brevity is not your strength, but I love you nonetheless. Here we go. I got a clock there. Okay, here we go. I think people do not understand how bad the Lakers were pre-Lebron. They had the worst winning percentage for five years preceding him. Can you imagine the Yankees? Duke basketball,

Oklahoma football. Yeah, it's the worst team in the sport. LeBron has literally been a life preserver, and if he left tomorrow, it's a hot and cold offensive player in AD, and you'd get a bunch of 19-year-old draft picks. I don't even understand the

trade rumors with LeBron. Don't get them. What say you? All right, well, I love it. Hey, Nick, you don't have a lot of time. we got 60 seconds, fix the Lakers. Okay, no problem. Here's the deal. Here's what I'm bothered by.

LeBron at age 39, year 21, about to hit 40,000 points seems more urgent than the Lakers do. How the hell does that make sense? If there's ever a guy who should be resting on his laurels, it's this guy, he's not, and the Lakers seem fine with being fine. And I don't understand it. and your point that the Lakers were out in the wilderness. And the only thing they did to prevent that wilderness from continuing was being a city that made sense for LeBron James' businesses.

So he went there, he then brought Anthony Davis there, he then brought them a championship, he and AD then willed them to round three last year, and for them to right now be getting another great year out of LeBron, I think an underrated great year out of Anthony Davis, and to be just sitting on their hands with the trade deadline in 48 hours and with the coach that seems to really be struggling is beyond me. But I think that you can make a really strong case that Lakers ownership is Nick's ownership with way better PR, but nobody wants to have that conversation. And so, yeah, I mean, I don't think they're going to do much.

That was as quick as I could go. For the record, I'll add 30 seconds to this. That's your best look. that look today and I'm not some style master he's got a gorgeous wife she's into style believe me the difference she's made in your life is is substantial oh yeah when I first met you I remember one of my first times on your show I wore a sport goat with a with a graphic tea under it and you told me off the air he's like you were like you were like a collared shirt next time so yeah you know life's changed shaved head t-shirts to this no no when I first met you

you wore track suits and smoked cigars you look like a you look like a you look like a low-rent mobster. Now you're handsome. You're like a bohemian hipster. Now I look like a high-rent mobster, which is exactly what I'm going for. I went from button man to like concediarity. He's exactly what I'm going for. I'll talk to you later. See you come. Nobody has benefited from a wife more than Nick Wright, and I love him for that. She's amazing. That's confirmed. That is confirmed. Both of us have done that. Okay. A lot of stuff here today.

I said it on the show yesterday. Remember I said I'm fading Kansas? He is of the many talents you have. The number one is dialing in in February on college basketball.

He sends me these texts. Hey, the Institute of Technology covered against Rhode Island School of Design. And he bets these. I'm not betting RISD, sorry. All right. Jay Mack with the news. No, no, no, no. Turn on the news.

This is the herd line news. Hey, what do you think we abort our Super Bowl plans and just go check out the Kansas City airport this week? Never. It's the only major city I've never been to. I'm not anti-Kansas City, but I've never had a flight stop there. And I usually in the Midwest go to Minneapolis's wonderful airport or Chicago's great city. We should just go to KC for the barbecue one day. For one day?

No, I'm not going to do this. No? No. No. You know, another place I haven't been to a ton of is Denver, which is a beautiful city. But again, I have gone to a lot of Salt Lake. Salt Lake's got for anybody, the uninitiated, Salt Lake's got a great airport. It's a Delta Hub. So if you're flying in L.A. and you want to go to certain places, not L.A., but you can connect through Salt Lake, gets you anywhere almost in the world, flight to Paris, flights to London, flight to Amsterdam. So I don't go into Denver much or Kansas City, and Denver is also at an airport that feels like it's, you know, another county. removed from the city. So I don't have a lot of Denver.

I've been to Denver a half dozen times, but not as much as everybody else. I don't know what's more impressive. Your 1970 sports knowledge or your airport knowledge, I mean, goodness gracious. I know I have a list at home of places to go and not to go. Impressive. There are airports I connect through airports I refuse to.

Okay. Let's go to the lions who are coming off that great season. Just came up short of the Super Bowl. GM Brad Holmes spoke to the media yesterday. Made it clear he doesn't expect another lengthy postseason drought. in Detroit. I don't want anybody to think that this was a one-shot Cinderella magical journey that just happened.

No, it's real, all right? This is exactly what it was supposed to happen. And I understand that based on history from what's happened in the past, like, I understand you have a season like this, it's easy to feel like this was kind of a one-shot, magical, lucky, cute story, which I'm tired of hearing. It was none of the day. Yeah, we've been talking about this. From the coaching staff to the roster, to the front office, this is all real.

They have six players that have been drafted last three years, six that are elite players at their position. Edge rusher, receiver, tight end, safety now, running back, left tackle. like they have hit six draft home runs. Not to mention Jared Goff's really good. Yeah, he's very good. You know, a team I root for, the New York Jets, drafted Mark Sanchez, and I've talked to him about this a ton. They got to the AFC title game in his rookie year.

And then they got back there next year. And we're like, we've got a dynasty. Super Bowl's next. Have not been to the playoffs since the back-to-back AFC championship game. It's not even the postseason, Colin. And they were loaded with young talent. Revis, Mangled, that offensive line. You're forgetting an element.

They were in a division with Belichick and Brady in their prime. Also true. Come on, Jordan Love. They got to face Jordan Love and Caleb Williams. And Kevin O'Cott. No. Okay. This is not a sale you're willing to take.

Next up, the Eagles officially hired Kellynne Moore as their new OC. Nick Siriani now has a capable OC to help get the offense back on track. Brian Johnson, who is Jalen Hertz's guy. He's gone. emphasizing Moore's accomplishments. Siriani said he's thrilled to have him join the coaching staff for next season. So Kellan Moore did not do a lot of damage in L.A. with the Chargers, although you could argue. I'm going to defend him.

Okay. If you have a bad boss, it pulls everybody down. I've been lucky in my career. I haven't. One time, one place, didn't have a great boss. It pulled everybody down. Everybody can relate to this. Brandon Staley can be a coordinator.

As a head coach, Herbert got worse, Kellyn Moore got worse. The left tackle, Star got worse. Everybody got pulled down. The whole organization. That's why we say in the NFL, nothing against Mahomes, but the Hunt family, Brett Veach Reed, anytime Mahomes bad start, bad quarterback, they pull him back in. So this is a crime example of, you know.

So you like this move, Kellyn Moore. I think Kellyn Moore is a very good coach. I think Kellyn Moore showed his talent. In Dallas, he went to the Chargers, situation, everything has a stink on it. He's going to go back, and I think he'll redeem himself. Now, I don't think Siriani's as good a coach as Mike McCarthy. So it may not look pretty, but Kellyn Moore did not forget how to coach. He got a more talented quarterback with a Chargers, albeit he got hurt.

He didn't forget how to coach. We can't quantify motivation, but, man, Kellyn Moore's got to be ticked off. Got run out of Dallas when they had an elite offense. goes to join Herbert. It was supposed to be peaches and cream. He was supposed to be interviewing for head coaching jobs. That's how it was supposed to go for him in L.A. And now he's like, I don't know.

He's an example of strike when the iron is hot, which you have advocated for, and I think it's a very, very legitimate argument. I think Ben Johnson isn't that because Ben Johnson's got golf, a better roster than Dallas. I think Ben Johnson's fine passing, but it's a very legit argument

that Kellan should have struck when the iron was hot. Yeah. Final story is a bit of a bummer. So the Sixers announced Joel Embedneged a procedure on his left knee this morning. Here's the weird part.

They're not announcing a timetable for his return. The team says he will be re-evaluated in four weeks. And of course, because the team's announcing it, there's a belief he could return during the regular season, Colin,

this is just, it sucks for everybody. Sixers fans, especially, NBA fans. Sixers on TV a lot here down the stretch. have lost six of seven. They're now fifth in the east. Yeah, this team, it would be like Milwaukee losing Yannis. You can't lose Mbid on this team. You can't lose A-D on the Lakers and think they're just going to win as many games. They're 10 points better minimum when he's on the floor. Somebody fell on his knee. We can complain about the protocol. He's been hurt his entire career. He got hurt again. Let's stop blaming the NBA having to force players to actually play. Okay, this is a player that's been hurt. Don't let that get lost. He's been hurt every year of his career. First two years, if I recall, he didn't play.

Didn't play. Because of injuries. So, listen, obviously, I feel bad for Embed who was having a monster year. But if I'm going to call Joe Burrow Glass Joe, do we need to start calling him Glass Joelle, M.B? Because he's hurt all the time. And I know it's tough. He's a seven-footer, the pace of the NBA.

It's difficult. But, man. I think players, and I think that's fair. I think with Joe Burrow, I think one more injury, and we have what is a, you have to start looking at drafting another quarterback. That's not, that's, and again, Burroughs a pocket guy. Lamar runs around, so sometimes a runaround guys, they give a little bit of a pass on getting dinged.

Burrow can move, but he's a pocket guy. Now, they haven't done him a solid, the old line play there has been spotty. But I think M.B., similarly, I think this is, I think this is who he is. And there's no replacement, really. They tried Paul Reed, the young kid added to Paul. He's not a starter. They got more bomb on the roster. I mean, they just don't.

You can't replace the production. We just show their stats on screen. You're about six guys in the league. They're gone. You're not the same. You're not. You're toast. LeBron.

Luca. Yonis, Lucas. Six or seven guys, you're just not going to replace. Probably going to go heavy, guard, heavy, wing heavy. Just try to outscore you, 15 to 140 with Tyrese. By the way, is Tatum one of those guys? or when he leaves can Drew Holiday, Horzingas, and Jalen Brown. I don't know the answer.

Sunday on Fox, Caitlin Clark looks to make history and set the all-time scoring record as she leads second-ranked Iowa against Nebraska. Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern 10 a.m. Pacific only on Fox and the Fox Sports app. So Patrick Mahomes was asked last night at Media Night, opening Media Night, about chasing Tom Brady's seven rings, and here was his thoughts. I'm not even close to halfway, so I haven't put a lot of thought into it. I mean, your goal is to be the best player that you can be. And I know I'm blessed to be around a lot of great players around me. And so right now it's doing whatever I can to beat a great 49ers team and trying to get that third ring.

And then if you ask me that question in like 15 years, and I'll see if I can get close to seven, but seven seems like a long ways away still. So it's interesting about that. I think most people that I trust believe that Mahomes is the best quarterback of all time or second to Brady. And he doesn't have close to Brady's rings and probably will never finish there. Bill Russell 11 trophies, Michael Jordan 6. We don't even argue who's better.

Marino Nunn, Brad Johnson won. We don't argue. Eli Manning 2, far of 1. We don't argue who the better quarterback is. It is remarkable in this. Brady's longevity is like Mars-like. I mean, Drew Breeze out of football a year. Couldn't throw football anymore.

It's weird about that. I've always thought this is weird. So, Mahomes will not have to surpass Brady to be called the greatest quarterback of all time in terms of trophies. Bill Russell has double Michael almost. We don't argue it. The only thing we argue is LeBron, who does far more things well than Michael, bigger, stronger athlete. Michael was in his prime about 215 pounds.

LeBron's 255. He would bully him, and he's three inches taller. But it's funny about that. I think Mahomes, we're going to look if he wins another Super Bowl, and we're just going to say that's the best quarterback we've ever seen. we're not saying most productive. Bill Russell is the most productive. Brady's the most productive.

That doesn't mean Tom doesn't have an argument. But I've always found it funny. The one we always pushed back on, and there is no question. LeBron shatters Michael Jordan in every record, shatters him. Does far more things well, bigger, stronger athlete, better passer, as good a leader, can defend bigger players, a better three-point shooter, more range as a shooter, better ball handler, probably argument, a better overall teammate over time. But there's that whole Jordan LeBron thing that people can't let go of.

But it's remarkable, virtually across sports, we don't make it a, you've got more trophies, you're better. We don't do that. We just do it with LeBron and Michael Jordan. And I think a lot of it is based on this. We loved Michael. he was the first tennis shoe superstar had the first mega shoe campaign i mean mega campaign he was good looking the dress chicago it felt big he was tough there was a certain american spirit about him like he was a political he went to carolina then it was the shoes then it was big chicago it was

titles he was tough and it just michael the sign of michael's popularity is he is the one guy, Bill Russell's got double the rings. Michael's the best. It's the only one. It's like, oh, well, Michael's better. Well, I mean, Russell did this. He was the best defensive player. He was the best player for 15 years.

He was the best. So it just, it shows you, and Malmes is popular, but it shows the power of Jordan. He's the one guy that sort of transcends trophies. He's got six. And the other thing, it's six for six. He never lost. And that's just a big thing. But it was funny.

The minute. Brady had more than Joe Montana. The second, we literally forgot Joe. We literally forgot him. I contend if LeBron got four more trophies, it'd still be Michael. And that's just the power of Michael. It was pre-social. You didn't hear about his misses.

You didn't hear about his personal life. But I do think Mahomes falls into what is a typical category, which is we watch him. he looks like the greatest thing we've ever seen plus really really good production too great we don't need him to stack trophies to be the greatest all time that's what we do in everything else that's what we do virtually but there there is something about golf and jack nicholas uh and jordan's popularity you just can't argue people off jack's the greatest of all time and you just can't argue people off you can't argue people off of jordan but you'll be able to argue people off Brady in a heartbeat.

Because it just, you know, not that Mahomes isn't great or popular, but Michael was so popular. Jack Nicholas was so popular, and that becomes this sort of shield that's hard to penetrate. Outward three in a Tuesday. Live in L.A. coming up next.
