This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy. Not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel. Help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.
Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Will Ferrell's Big Money Players and IHeart Podcasts presents soccer moms.
So I'm Leanne.
Yeah.
This is my best friend, Janet.
Hey.
And we have been joined at the hips since high school.
Absolutely.
A redacted amount of years later, we're still joined at the hip.
Just a little bit bigger hips.
This is a podcast.
We're recording it as we tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey.
With all the snacks and drinks.
Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer?
Oh, they had a bogo.
Well, then you got them.
Listen to Soccer Moms on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, I'm Deanna Maria Riva, and on my new podcast, How Hard Can It Be?
I call on my Gen X squad from Ohio to Hollywood as we navigate Midlife's most fantastic BS.
Unfiltered conversations from night sweats to fupas to scheduling sex.
Wait, what sex?
Is it just me or does every woman my age want to look at Pinterest instead of having sex sometimes?
They say we can't polish it turn.
but we're sure going to try.
So let's get blunt with laughs, tears, or tears of laughter.
Listen to How Hard Can It Be with Deanna Maria Riva
on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm CJ Toledano.
It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast point game, the playoffs.
We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season.
And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments.
If we didn't talk ever again, I was hiring.
You just understood.
That's how personal it got.
Wow.
Then after that game seven,
I keep coming until he's like, you know I love you, dog.
You know, it's all love.
This was just playoffs.
This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, thanks for listening to the Covino Enrich podcast.
Be sure to catch us live every weekday from 5 to 7 Eastern, 2 to 4 Pacific on Fox Sports Radio.
Find your local station for Covito Enrich at Fox SportsR.com or stream us live every day on the IHeart
Heart Radio app by searching FSR.
Oh, yeah, buddies.
On Fox Sports Radio.
And we got David Benavita as the Mexican monster
fights this Saturday night, fights David Morel on standby.
So stick around for that.
We'll be talking to him.
We'll be heading to Vegas tomorrow for the fight.
And then next week, New Orleans for the Super Bowl.
Right now, broadcasting live in L.A., live from the tire rack.com studio.
Tyraq.com.
I'll help you get there.
An unmatched selection, fast free shipping, free road hazard protection.
Over 10,000 recommended installers.
tire rack.com where tire buying should be.
And don't forget, after the show, Overpromised on the Fox Sports Radio YouTube page.
You could watch. Listen, if I were you, I'd watch. It's a great listen.
But we put it together where I'll be honest, I think it's better than some TV shows on ESPN, Fox, CBS.
We do have a hell of a job spot. Your video package is great. I said video.
But hey, overpromised after the show. We're going to get to a bunch of stuff we don't get to on today's show.
Exactly. A brand new episode. And speaking to,
great shows, great radio shows.
Back in the 30s, see?
Yeah.
As a spring in my step and a nickel in my pocket.
When you had that nickel in your pocket and that springing your step,
a lot of families got together around the radio and they listened to the Lone Ranger on this day.
It started in Detroit, 1933.
By 1939, it went national, and over 20 million people were tuning in to listen to the
Lone Ranger. That's like Joe Rogan
numbers. I mean, it's ridiculous.
They're all sitting around the radio, too.
So there's so many questions, so many thoughts that come
to mind. We didn't grow up with that
obviously, but one of our callers said,
yeah, man, for us, that was like listening to the ball game,
and it really was. You had it on.
You just had it on. Family
would listen, listen to the car, you'd listen to
your yard, listen all the time. The personalities
involved in radio, the bits
involved that captured our attention.
And then we posed a question,
what TV shows today are so well written that they'd actually translate on the radio.
And we've come to the conclusion that it's a lot of the narrated shows that we enjoyed growing up.
Narrated shows.
True crime type of shows that are narrated like a Dexter.
Yeah, because you hear his inner dialogue and everything, his inner monologue.
Yeah, that would be great on the radio.
And observational comedy shows, like a Seinfeld or something like that.
And that baseline and a laugh track.
Yeah, you can picture that.
Those are now the, you know, podcast transitions, right?
Exactly.
All right. Bill, Miami, wrapped this, and we'll get into David Benavides.
I see the Zoom signing on, so let's go.
What's up, Bill?
You know, Rich, awesome.
Love hearing you guys.
Thank you.
Full last, man.
Love it.
Hey, I'm going to talk about the Lone Ranger, Kimosavi.
I grew up on black and white, and back in the early 80s when I was a young military man on radio
watch. If you remember watching
some of those movies of the old radio, the
Prick 77, PR-77,
the old-fashioned radio from
Korea, Vietnam,
we used to tune that thing on
to a frequency and
listen to it with our squad
at night, listening to the
Lone Ranger. That's
an odd one. That's wild, man. Let me
tell you. I know the
conversation started about people
would gather around the radio and speak.
radio which we've spent our career in, right?
We've done TV, podcasting, video, different things.
But radio's the base of what Kavino and I love,
and I know we both fell in love with it in different ways.
Right.
And for different reasons.
They say this, and I agree with it,
that radio is the most intimate medium.
Because most of the time when you're listening to the radio,
a podcast music, you are by yourself.
So you feel that one-on-one connection with the show you listen to.
And if you're listening to headphones like most people do,
it's right there in your ear.
It's like we're whispering right to you.
So it is very intimate.
You watch movies in a theater with a bunch of other people.
You watch shows with your wife or kids.
Radio?
It's usually a very intimate one-on-one thing.
Like what you're hearing right now.
And I see him.
He's on the screen now.
Going to see him this weekend in Vegas, Kavino.
That's right.
The WBC NWBA Light Heavyweight belts are on the line.
Let's welcome WBC Light Heavyweight Champion, David Benavides.
Oh, what's up, my man.
How are you?
The Mexican monster.
Good to see you.
I'm doing good, man.
I'm doing really good.
How are you guys doing?
We're excited.
We get on our plane tomorrow morning.
We'll cover the fight.
See you win or what?
Are we feeling confident?
My feeling confident.
Did you not see the press conference?
Dude.
I'm 100% confident, man.
Like I said, David Morel is a good fighter.
That's why I picked them to fight because I know when I get in the ring with good fighters,
a great David Benavitas comes out.
And we've been selling this fight really good.
you know, the promotion has been really good.
And the good thing about this, and none of this is fake.
You know what I mean?
This is all real.
You know, we have a genuine dislike for each other.
And I think the track record shows in history when you get two fighters like that
that really dislike each other, the fight is amazing.
Okay.
Well, I'm glad you're 100% confident.
Are you 100% healthy because you battled some injuries with your hand last fight?
So no excuses this time around, right?
How are you feeling health-wise, man?
Yeah, well, I mean, I'm feeling really good.
I didn't have any excuses last fight.
I won the fight, you know, even though.
Oh, I know you were.
I just told you guys that I had injuries, but there's no, there's no injuries now.
You know, we're 100% good, injury free, and we're looking to put a great show for the people.
And you said you dislike your opponent, David Morel.
Why is it exactly?
Is it all the trash talk?
Is it what he said about your family?
What is it about him that you dislike so much?
And does that work to your advantage here?
Yeah, it's just the trash talk, you know, just, um,
Just a trash talk and then just seeing him face to face and those both talking about each other.
And then also, you know, at the end of the day, when you're a fighter, this comes out.
Especially if somebody says something to you, you know what I mean?
It's eventually going to come out.
And like I said, I understand this is a business too.
I want to sell as much pay-per-views as possible.
So, you know, we cranked it up a little bit.
You said you genuinely dislike that guy.
And you said that that's good for the fight.
Does that change your emotions or is it like just an opponent's an opponent?
Do you really, is it, does it, you know, making contact feel even better when you hate that guy's face?
Yeah, so when you have emotions like this also, I mean, obviously you have to control the emotion.
Yeah.
If you really don't like somebody, that emotion could lead you to possibly wanting to knock this guy out or inflicting as much damage as possible.
And I've, you know, I've dealt with emotions like this in my previous fights.
And as you guys can see on 29 and 0 with 24 knockouts, so it's worth pretty good for me.
No doubt.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
both undefeated fighters going at it this weekend.
And you mentioned that you're going to break his jaw.
So it's not just about beating this dude.
You want to hurt this dude.
Is that right?
I want this fight to leave an imprint on the rest of his life.
And I want him to remember me for the rest of his life, too.
I want him to when he thinks about David Benavides,
I want him to think like, oh, man, I can't even believe that I ever thought I was going
to beat that guy.
That guy is a monster.
Now, you obviously have your personal expectations.
You also have a reputation of being a monster.
as Mike Tyson named you, the Mexican monster,
so you have that to live up to.
You're fighting for Mexican pride.
How do you view it as far as Mexican fighter versus Cuban fighter?
To be honest, I felt like the Mexican and Cuban rivalry has been really good.
We've had some great fights,
but I just feel like the Mexican fighters all around, they have,
they're, you know, they're more, they go after you.
We don't try to box.
We try to actually go in there and stop the fights,
and we try to, you know, knock the fighters out.
So I really have that in my blood, you know what I mean?
I fought like that my whole career, so I'm expecting to fight like that until my career is over.
Is it cool that Mike Tyson calls you the Mexican monster?
That's got to be cool, you know, growing up.
Mexican monster.
It's Mike Tyson.
Is that cool?
Oh, it's great.
Yeah, it's amazing, man.
It's really, so like I want to put in perspective for you.
I watch Mike Tyson my whole life.
So when him blessing me with a nickname like that, it not only doesn't make me happy and it makes me motivated,
But it kind of puts, like, my thoughts when I was a little kid,
thinking that I was going to be a world champion,
watching Mike Tyson.
And Mike Tyson giving me my name.
It's like, oh, wow, like, you could really manifest whatever you want
if you work hard to your dreams.
And right now I'm in all bliss because I'm living out my dreams right now.
We're here with David Benavides, the fights this weekend.
We're going to be out there.
We're so pumped, man, so pumped to have you on the show.
How are you feeling fighting at 175 now?
Because you were so dominant at 168.
Do you really feel the power difference from your opponent, from yourself?
Like, what has been the biggest difference for you so far?
To be honest, with you, I didn't really have a, not that I didn't have a good experience,
but I didn't really get to fill my 100% myself because of the injuries I was dealing with.
Right.
This time around, I'm expecting to fill the power from myself because I'm, you know,
I'm 100% good right now.
But as for opponent's punching power, I don't think like that.
Once you go, once you're a fighter and you're a warrior, you don't think like, oh, is this guy going to hit hard, this and that.
You just go in there, you do the work, and that's it.
You are 29 and O, like you pointed out, 24 of those coming by knockout.
Would you be shocked if he lasted all 12 rounds?
You know what I mean?
I wouldn't be shocked because this is boxing.
You know, sometimes these people, you know, they move around a lot.
But I'm not trying to let it go to 12 rounds.
Like I said, every single round, I'm going to be in there putting as much pressure as possible.
to make sure I get that chaos.
You know, let me ask you this.
Ring entrances.
We've been going to fight together now.
Kvino for like 20 years.
Yeah.
They're getting more intense, you know, more elaborate, more fireworks and songs and, you know,
musicians, rappers, bringing people down to the ring.
Do you put a lot of thought into your ring entrance?
Yeah.
I do more like a Mexican artist because obviously I have most of my fans are Mexican and Latino and stuff.
So I definitely do put that in my past.
my last fight came out with the artist
so this fight I'm planning on doing
coming out with another artist as well
but obviously you know at the end of the day
this is a show you know and you have to give the people
what they want to see so every fight
every fight it's going to get bigger and bigger
so I am adding artists to
all my fights now and I love that
because you know it's all about entertainment
and this gets them hyped up and I say this
with all due respect David Benavitas
but the cleanest the tightest ring entrance
I've ever seen was
Felix Chavez, your brothers in Creed 3, man.
That was pretty cool, dude.
That was dope.
How was that for you, man?
And your brother's on this card, too.
So does that make it more nerve-wracking for you?
Are you just so confident in him?
So tell me about him on the card and tell me about seeing him in the movie.
No, so we're really confident because over here on this side, we work our asses off.
And we know exactly what we have.
You know, we know exactly what talent we have.
So once you put the talent with the hard,
hard work, you know, and there's no stone on turn here. You know, we're not messing around.
So I'm going to have 100% confidence for my brother. It does give me a little bit nervous,
you know, because obviously it's my brother. I love my brother. But I'm sure he feels the same
with me. He gets a little bit nervous when he watches me fight. But as to his, uh, his entrance
in the movie and just seen him being in the Creed 3, you know, it's just, uh, like I said,
we're just living out our dreams. You know, we're two kids from Phoenix, Arizona. We weren't
really expecting much. And now, you know, multiple titles, multiple belts won, and he's in
creed and you know it's going to keep getting bigger and better so like I said man it's
with all the hard work and dedication anything can be manifested.
David, I was going to say when you were growing up in Phoenix with your brother, could you have
ever imagine when you guys were tussling wrestling in the living room throwing pillows at each other?
Would you ever imagine that you guys would both be at this level?
Like was there any signs early on like yo we got skills bro?
Yeah, well my brother, he was one of the best amateur fighters in all of Phoenix but when
we were younger kids, no, we weren't expecting nothing like that.
that. So like I said, we didn't expect that, but we were working towards that. So just the hard
work and the dedication led us to here. Like I said, now that I get here, now that I'm here,
I'm just reaching for the stars. And I want bigger and better things because I know it's possible.
So I'm just, you know, like I said, I'm really, really happy. I'm really blessed with everything
that's going on in my life. And we're happy for you, man. You're talking about the manifesting.
So let's talk about it. When you win this fight, man, when you win this fight,
better BF also fights BVol what in February 22nd February right the winner of your fight should fight the winner of that fight how do you see that panning out yeah I feel like honestly I felt like Bvall won the first fight I think he's going to win again and so you know we're 100% focused on this fight Saturday but honestly we're if we get that opportunity we should be the number one in line to fight Baville
So, yeah, man, it's going to be great.
We've got some great things coming our way.
And, you know, like I said, stay tuned because, you know,
greatness will be achieved.
Now, personally, I really do want to know this.
That would be a huge fight, a great fight.
Those are great fighters, right?
But personally, would you rather fight the winner
of Better BF Bival or Canelo?
Because everybody still brings up Canelo,
but, you know, are you past that at 175?
Are you not looking back?
What are your thoughts on that?
To be honest with you, those are two completely different fights.
I think the one would leave that there.
Don't think that.
I think the one with Canelo is the bigger fight, obviously,
because, you know, it's more hyped up.
Mexican versus Mexican.
Canelo, he's achieved a lot.
But I think that's the easier fight than Beauvoir.
Honestly, I think I beat Canello easier than I beat Bevo.
I think Bevolo is a tough fighter.
But I think the Canelo fight is bigger than the fight versus me and Bevolo.
A lot of people think the Morel fight this weekend is,
tougher than a Canelo fight.
Yeah, we'll let you get back to what you're doing.
David Benavides on Kavino-Ritch.
One last thing.
You're a favorite in Vegas, minus 2.30.
Do you ever take a look at that stuff?
Do you want to know how much your favorite if you're an underdog?
Do you care about that even a little?
Does that motivate you?
No, to be honest with you, I don't really care looking at that stuff.
And also a thing that I hate when people tell me is like, hey, I bet I'm betting on you.
I'm betting on me.
Now I'm supposed to win or like, right, right.
Right. Right. No. But I don't really look at that, you know, because, you know, sometimes I don't really like to pay attention to that stuff because a fighter, in my opinion, every fighter is dangerous and every fighter is good. So I got to stay my mind focus. You know, I don't try to, I don't try to, you know, get stuck up on being at advantage of nothing like that. I just try to stay focused on the fight until the job is done.
And actually, I got one last question, too. We're obviously very pumped about your fight and what's next for you.
What's a fight you want to see?
Just like an all-emboxing?
Yeah.
Me versus Canello will be good.
So I would love to see, I would love to see Devin Haney versus, I mean Devin Haney.
Ryan Garcia versus Tank, too.
I think that would be a really good fight.
But with no weight close.
No weight close.
All right, man.
Hey, well, we're wishing you the best and thank you for your time.
We'll see you this weekend in Vegas.
There is.
David Benavino's.
Thank you, my friend.
Thank you, man.
The Mexican monster, named by Mike Tyson.
The dude is nasty.
And let me just put this in perspective, too.
Everybody wants to see this Canelo fight.
And it would be a battle because Canello's tough, right?
Yeah.
But Canello didn't translate at 175.
He lost to Bevel, right?
He says the power wasn't the same.
Canello's five foot seven.
I'm not saying that matters, but he's a smaller dude, right?
Who fights at 168, 5'4.7.
El Monstro here is 6'2, and he walks around at 200 pounds.
So he's a much bigger dude.
Keep that in mind. Benevides, 6-2-200 pounds.
I mean, he's fighting at 175, you know, but he's still a bigger guy.
But Canelo Alvarez, because you see him against other fighters, sometimes you lose that perception of height.
He's 5'7.
Yeah, exactly.
So it's going to be a battle, and don't sleep on David Morel.
It's not a warm-up fight.
It's going to be a battle, and they dislike each other.
And we're going to be out there this weekend from Radio Row at MGM.
starting tomorrow. So tune in, Kavino and Rich. And if you want to see the fight on Saturday,
ppv.com or premier boxing champions.com. Benevides, Morel. Well, we got a lot of NFL. We're
going to get back to some football, some NBA. And Danny, Spott, you guys, Kvino, are you guys doing
laundry tonight or what? Why? I just know, I just realized, like, we have to pack.
Oh, yeah. We have to pack for a weekend in Vegas. You only have a few chonies left?
No, I'm just saying. You got to pack for a long weekend in Vegas and then a week plus in New Orleans for the
Super Bowl. So I'm just reminding you guys
clean your choney and then pack your
nice shirts. Oh, you're right. I actually dropped off
some things at a dry cleaner just a few days
ago. Yeah, so don't forget to pick that up and
we'll be back. We're going to talk some more NFL
next as we are what? A week
and a couple days away from Super Bowl 59
in New Orleans. More, Kavino
and Rich next. Now, we're not

Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, new?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called,
Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
and then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy,
not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smigel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and Headwere
writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between
songs banter. Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast
Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs
without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever
play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before. And he knows. Without
Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game. We get a player's perspective on the
challenges of the playoffs. I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they
don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard
Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis
on offense. And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history
too.
Steve Nash will get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running up the court,
licking his fingers why he got the ball.
Like, you go through a training camp
with that Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Oh, yeah.
Get your ass up and down the court,
and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the Iheart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This week on Crimless,
we're joined by our first ever guest.
Sorry, our first ever human guest.
I don't think I could be in the same room with Shamrock the parrot.
I'd be too nervous.
That's right.
The very funny Will Ferrell joins Rory Scovel and me, Josh Dean,
for an episode dedicated to the many crimes committed by people also named Will Ferrell.
They called to his fellow officer for the nippers.
What are the nippers?
Very good question.
No, I was thinking, would that be a good name for like a salad dressing?
Simple assault.
And it's a play on word, salt?
Maybe not.
I say we invest and we see.
There's only one way to know.
This did not amuse the cops.
By the way, normally the cops are amused, but this did not abuse the cops.
Will even comes clean about some of his own crimes.
I didn't get caught. You know why?
If you don't want to be suspected of anything, you whistle as you walk.

can show up fully and be heard. I wholeheartedly think, you know, you hit 30. You shouldn't have to share
one with anybody. Mm-hmm. From navigating friendships and healing to setting boundaries and
prioritizing your mental health. These are real honest conversations. We don't always get to have
out loud. Totally unreasonable with different parts of life, right? Like, oh, have all
three meals and make sure you're mindful during all of them?
Absolutely not.
During one meal, I'm standing.
I'm standing and handing my children food.
Because healing, empowerment, and resilience aren't just ideas.
They're practices.
And this Mental Health Awareness Month, there's no better time to pour back into yourself.
Listen to cultivating her space on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.

studio. Rapid radios are the walkie-talkie for the big game. There, push to talk, offering national
LTE coverage, no subscription ever. Perfect for instant contact with your friends. We use them on the show.
Go to rapid radios.com now for up to 60% off and free shipping. We'll be using him in Vegas.
Rapid radio. Hey, where's Rich? Oh, he's at Rulet again. I'm here, guys. Red 16. Hey, where's
rich? Is he at the Spearmint, right? Now, where to hell Rich go? Don't tell anyone.
So we'll be in Vegas for the fight, using our rapid radios and then New Orleans for the Super Bowl.
You're going to go on one of those gambling boats in New Orleans, Rich?
You know what?
You never know.
You're in a city.
Oh, no.
There's the casino right there.
There's a casino right off Bourbon Street.
Oh, I know there is.
There's also some boats that sit out there that have gambling on them.
A little riverboat action.
Yeah, Riverboat.
Riverboat.
Ron.
Riverboat Ron.
Richie.
I want to thank again, David Benavides, for being on the show and giving us a reason to be out there in Vegas this
weekend. So listen out starting
tomorrow. You never know who's going to stop
by the show live from Vegas for
Benavides Morel. That's this weekend, Saturday
night. David Benavides looks pretty
confident, man. He looks like he's in great shape.
Again, big dude slims down
to 178. He's hard to
beat. He's beat some big names.
Andrade,
Caleb Plant. He's beat him all. I think
he would beat Canelo. I really do.
It'd be a great fight
and a lot of pride on the line. I'm excited to
see him. I've seen him on pay-per-view. This is going to be the
first time I see him in person. The Mexican monster. And Rich, you know, back in the day,
on his come up, he used to spar at Triple G. I wanted to ask him about that. But if we see him
in Vegas, maybe we'll talk to him about it. But again, the winner of this fight gets the winner
of Better B.F. Bival, the rematch. So thanks again. If you missed any of it, catch the podcast.
And because we had Benavitas on the show today, we don't have a whole lot of time. So whatever
we don't have time for us on overpromise. That's our bonus pod and a new episode debuts
today right after the show in about a half hour. 4 p.m. on the West, 7 p.m. on the East. Overpromised
with Kavino and Rich. I can tell you right now, we're going to talk about the evolution of
sport trophies and logos based on that Bill Belichick story. Saying that the Vince Lombardi
trophy should be renamed the Tom Brady trophy. So we're going to go over some other maybe potential
possible changes in trophies and logos.
We'll go over the Super Bowl logos.
We talk about how, well, the NFL seems to do everything right,
it's one of the few things the NBA has really nailed recently.
Because when you think about all the NBA awards now,
they pay tribute to Bird, Jordan, Magic, Kareem, everyone.
So we'll get to that on Overpromise.
That's Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page.
A half hour from now, we go live, join it live.
And there's a live chat and everything.
So if you're listening, check it on the YouTube page.
And we'll also talk about the most important piece of sporting equipment.
Think about it.
Because we're not going to fit that in today's show.
What's the most important piece of sporting equipment?
You won't.
You're not even going to guess.
You won't know until you hear it on overpromise.
And we'll talk about Kelsey and the Super Bowl and more, okay?
Yeah, yeah, sure.
All right, buddy.
Now, when you think about Super Bowl 59 and you think about...
Licks?
Like I said, tickets, seven plus grand.
New Orleans,
great party city.
There is a part of you
that wonders,
and this is something
maybe we'll get into
a little more
and overpromise as well.
Will Travis Kelsey,
is it even,
you think it's even on his mind
at all like how to handle Taylor Swift?
Because there's a prop bet.
What do you mean how to handle her?
Like how to,
like,
because there's a lot of people saying
maybe they'll get engaged.
I mean, we don't even know
if that's really
on his,
radar or if the timing's right.
But if they're really on that page, I think no better time.
Is that a selfish move?
Does it take away attention?
Selfish move is what Cam Newton's saying.
I was going to say.
He's not a Cam Newton.
So I don't see him taking away attention from his teammates like that.
It seems like when it's high school or college kid doing it, like I'm going to get engaged
my high school sweetheart.
That's adorable.
I think this would be an attention grabber.
Well, you know what?
Yeah.
We'll discuss it on overpromise.
right now let's talk about Carl Anthony Towns
of the New York Knickerbockers
Uh huh
Yeah she
There's just bringing my step in a nickel in my pocket
Gonna buy a ticket to Nickerbocker C
Guess who bought a ticket to see the Knickerbockers
Guess who
Biggest star in the world
Willie Walker
That's right
You're right
Oh Timothy Oliphant
Shamanamad
Did I say Timothy Olfant?
You confused me
I think you were a joke.
Timothy Shalame.
My man.
Shalame.
Wrong.
Shalame.
Wrong Timothy.
Shabbado.
Sorry.
Wrong.
Mad Dog Rousseau's best friend.
Timothy Shalmy?
Yes, that guy.
Bob Dylan.
Timothy Shalame.
And Contany Towns gave him the jersey.
That's a cool movement.
And Shalame, again, just continues to prove that he's such a dude, such a bro, such a sports fan.
We thought he was some sort of theater nerd.
right? Like this Holly weird sort of guy that we don't like, some little dwebis who's good at acting.
And then he's like, no, man, I'm just a cool dude. And he changed everybody's perception of him in a matter of like three months.
You know, it poses an interesting question. Kavito that just popped in my head.
Are there people in the sports? I'm sorry, not even sports. Are there people in the music and acting world that you had them wrong?
That you had them wrong. They won you over because you're like, you know, you're a hell of a lot cooler than.
And I thought because the same way...
We had him way we're like...
Oh, Timothy Shalame?
Like, isn't he sort of like an artsy?
I don't know.
Seemed that way.
And then it's like, no, he's like a...
He's a dude.
He's a sports fan.
You saw him on college game day?
Yeah, it was the college game day appearance that really changed everybody's perception
because he was way knowledgeable.
I was like, man, this guy could really bro it up.
He could really dominate in like a barbershop setting.
I got a few examples of guys who's...
I got one guy that comes to mind for me.
I hope I don't take your answer.
I think you're going.
But I got a couple that I really changed my mind on just based on interactions with them and watching them.
Nick Lachey.
That's a good answer.
Of love is blind of 98 degrees.
You know, you could say boy band frosted tips in his hair, him and Jessica Simpson in the 2000s.
Now he's with Vanessa Manillo, Lechay.
He looks scared of her all the time.
Yo, he does look scared for.
It's not that he isn't cool, but he's way cooler.
Yeah, a dude that hosts a popular show
and he's married to a beautiful woman.
He's kind of cool already.
But he's even cooler when you realize
how passionate he is about a sports team.
You didn't realize, like, every time we've hung out
or talked to Nick Lachet interviewed or anything,
all he wants to talk about is Cincinnati sports.
Cincinnati sports for sure.
Bengals, Reds, you name it.
So Nick Lachet is one of those guys
where you'd be shocked that he knows as much or more
than you about sports.
And, you know, because a lot of times dudes
in that pop world, people assume like, oh, how cool could you be? I got two other pop world guys,
but they're not my answer. And I don't want you to take my answer. I was going to say, to me,
when I saw guys like Bieber or Timberlake play basketball, I'm like, yo, they're way more
athletic and, you know, way more in it than I thought. Two more pop guys to just stay on that
theme because it was unexpected. Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, he's way into his sports,
way into rock music.
You mean the boy band, dude?
Love to bro it up when we talk to him, Rich.
Yeah.
Was way into sports.
And Chris Kirkpatrick, we were on his podcast recently.
That dude is all about his Pittsburgh teams.
All about him.
But you know what that makes?
And I would have never known that.
And that's all he wanted to talk about.
All the proofs is that you guys like me, who would think that?
No, it's guys like you that think people that are,
into more mainstream pop stuff.
I grew up in pop radio.
You think I've created the stigma for them?
No, but I'm saying it's guys like you, though.
No, it's guys like them that put all that other stuff forward,
therefore we don't know the other side to them.
That's not my fault.
I'm saying it's boneheads like you that are like, yeah, rock music,
a guy that likes pop music, can't like sports.
You think I've created this stigma?
Are you out of your mind?
You lean into it.
No, or that they lead us to believe these things with the goofy stuff.
stuff that they do. Why? Because they sing a pop song instead of a rock song. You don't think
they could ball more than you? Then why is this surprise? Then why is a surprise for Nick Lechay to be
all about his Cincinnati? Stereotypes of people like you that they create. I don't create the
stereotypes, dude. Thanks for giving me all the credit. Dan Byer? But another one,
Dan Byer might be one of the most knowledgeable guys I know in sports, but you know what Dan Byer
also likes? I'm pretty sure he likes like pop music, boy band stuff and Vanderpump.
Yeah. Dan Byer, Dan Byer, true?
Not Vanderpump. It's the real housewives. Yeah, you guys got to get that straight.
I got to get that right.
Yes.
But it's not just pop guys.
Yeah.
Billy Corgan was my answer.
You just brought up pop.
He's the one that brought up pop dudes and made it about me.
Yeah.
What a Goonberger.
Do you listen to this guy?
He's the one that brought up pop stars that have a stigma.
It's all your fault.
And then somehow turned it on me.
Because I was going to say Billy Corgan, who's a rock star.
I would have never thought that weirdo was way into his cubs the way he is.
I always thought Billy Corgan was a weird guy.
The world is a vampire.
I loved him as a musician.
you talk to him.
All he wants to talk about is old school wrestling
and his Chicago Cubs.
And he talks about how good he was at baseball
and all that sort of stuff.
He's a way cooler dude than you think he is.
And I'm not saying being a rock star or a pop star isn't cool,
but you really didn't know there was that side to them.
But anyway, to back up my point,
guys like Steve Kavino.
Yeah, I guess.
Assume that if you grew up and you're more into pop music than rock
or you're more mainstream,
there's a...
How many men you know?
Into pop music, bud.
Into boy bands.
How many men you know into boy bands?
So now you're admitting that you assume that if someone's into that,
they're not as manly into sports.
I'm assuming that because I'm not into boy bands.
I'll give you two.
But I didn't invent the stigma.
I'll give you two.
Mr. Romcom, Lance Romance himself.
Paul Rudd never misses a playoff game of his teams.
Paul Rudd's wanting to hang out with the team.
He's a chief's fan, isn't he?
Yeah.
And on top of that, a guy that's into.
college football way more than me. And a guy
that's into all his sports
is a guy that played
a gay guy on television. Eric Stone
Street from Modern Family. Yeah.
I remember that. If you didn't know, because his character,
he plays a very feminine, homosexual man, on television.
In real life, he is a sports fanatic.
Yeah, he is. So is your guy
Ty, what's his face, from Modern Family?
Ty Burrell? Ty Burrell. Remember he's all about his Mets.
I'm not saying he's
a nerdy guy or anything, but you don't
know the side of them because you only know the actors that or the characters they portray.
You guys didn't bring up any actresses. I read that Margo Robbie is such a huge NHL fan
that she put her audition for the Wolf of Wall Street on hold so that she could make a New York
Rangers game. Is that true? Yeah. Oh, wow. Yeah. See, so you do see a different side of them.
You're like, oh. So you know what it does too? It normalizes these people. Like, oh, okay.
So you're not just some, you know, guy dancing around, some weird entertainment person.
You know what it is? I'll back up Kavino on this.
There's a lot of Hollywood and people in the music scene that are, you love their music,
but they're weirdos.
So when you see the guys and the women that are like cool, regular people that enjoy a team
or have favorite players, that's sort of cool to me.
You know who's a big Steelers fan?
Joe Mangonella.
Oh, big time.
Big time.
We met him with Antonio Brown.
Magic Mike himself.
Yep.
So the other part of the story is this.
Timothy Shalomey is there.
Shalemy.
He's courtside.
I guess they're at the garden, right?
Oh, Shalami.
Oh, Shammie Lama Dingdon.
And he gets the Carl Anthony Towns jersey, and they're posing for pictures.
Mutual respect.
That's always fun to see, right?
And Danny G. was right.
Wonka, I saw it on a plane.
Oh, it was great.
I would never have watched it.
I hated the original.
I love that one.
I would never have watched Wonka by choice.
Same.
But I was on a plane, and I'm like, you know what?
I got a couple hours.
I'll watch Wonka blown away by his talent.
It was great.
You hated the original.
I never watched it.
I didn't hate it.
And it really was a Willy Wonka kind of kid.
Gene Wilder was magic.
Yeah, but Timothy Shalomey was really good.
I didn't expect anything.
I'll put it above the Johnny Depp one.
How about that?
Okay, yeah.
By the way, Kat not only gave him the jersey, he signed it.
Yeah, signed the jersey.
For his man cave.
Based on that, and so cool, like I said, the mutual respect is always fun to see.
Based on that, we go to you, Fox Sports Radio Nation.
If there's other examples you want to share of people you changed your mind on, that's great.
That's grand.
That's wonderful.
Do that.
87799 on Fox.
Can I share a quick one?
Yeah, sure.
Quickly, sorry, this is not sports related, but when I, you know, Twilight and all like, Robert Pattinson
was in Twilight and I'm like, I'll never find anybody from this, these movie series cool.
And then I saw a movie called Good Time that he's in, and I'm like, wow, this guy can really act.
This is not just some fluffy, you know.
Just a different role.
Yeah, it was.
He still strike you as a weenie, though?
I mean, he's in a movie.
He was also Batman.
I just saw this movie, Good Time.
I had no idea about it.
it and it was like this amazing thriller
and I just thought I'm like this guy is really
a good actor. He played a cool guy so maybe he is
cool. He's a cool guy.
He's a cool guy. He's a
impression of it. Yeah. But based
on the
autograph and jersey given
to Shalameh. We
open it up to Fox Sports Radio Nation
and everybody here. The coolest thing
you ever received from a
celebrity, maybe it was at a game, at a
concert, you know, you caught
someone's drumstick. This is your chance to
brag about it because those moments are kind
cool because in a sea of 55,000 people, you were the one person that snagged X, Y, and Z.
87799 on Fox. I want to hear about it. I have arguably the best answer to this.
I have a few stories. I have the best answer to this.
The best. What I tell you, Donald Trump?
My answer is the best. There's no answer better than the one.
Wait to hear my answer. Your answer is very good and everything. I love your answer, but mine.
My answer is the best, and I'll do the old school radio tease. I'll let you know what it is.
Next, but first we go to Dan Byers update.
What's up, D.B?
Hey, Dan.
Guys, NBA All-Star Game Reserves being announced.
The Eastern Conference Reserves are in,
representing the Cleveland Cavaliers,
Darius Garland, and Evan Mowgli,
Damian Lillard of the Bucks,
one of the reserves, as is Jaylen Brown of the Celtics,
Tyler Hero, Ced Cunningham, and Pascal Seaccom,
round out the Eastern Conference Reserves.
Again, the All-Star Game
is going to be your traditional East and West.
It'll be three, eight-player teams,
broken up from the 24 All-Stars plus the winner of the Rising Challenge
Rising Stars challenge game playing in a tournament bracket
in San Francisco next month.
One other NBA note to pass along, Grizzly's Guard,
John Morant, doubtful for tonight's game against the Rockets.
He was downgraded while the Wall Street Journal says the FBI
is looking into heat guard Terry Rozier.
It dates back to March of 2023 when Rozier was a member of the Hornets
and the FBI is looking into Rozier's actions.
during that game connected to the game connected to the New Orleans Pelicans,
as Rozier left early with an injury.
In the NFL, former Stanford head coach David Shaw,
joining Dan Campbell's staff with the Lions as their passing game coordinator
under new offensive coordinator John Morton.
The NFL says the number of concussions in the 2024 regular season
were the lowest since the league started tracking data in 2015.
Eagles opened up the 21-day practice window for defensive end Brandon Graham,
who's on I-Rour with a torn triceps muscle.
The big story of the day, Ravens kicker Justin Tucker denying allegations he exhibited inappropriate sexual behavior with multiple massage therapists from 2012 through 2016.
The NFL says they are investigating the matter as it was unveiled by the Baltimore banner who spoke with at least six massage therapists who claimed Tucker exhibited inappropriate behavior.
One final note and a follow up from what we talked about earlier, those Utah hockey club nicknames.
Yeah.
Apparently there has been a change.
Buddy Eric
tweeting in saying
The Utah Hockey Club
announced within the last 90 minutes
They tabulated some numbers wrong
And the Wasatch are not a finalist
Outlaws is
So it's either the Utah Outlaws
The Utah Mammoth
Or the Utah Hockey Club
Those are your three nickname finalists
That you can choose from
I'm going Mammoth
You're going Mammoth
I like the Outlaws
Yeah I think I like the Outlaws
Too Outlaws
But you think Utah's an outlaw
You like Outlaws
It's like jazz
It's like jazz
Giving a jazz in your time?
It goes with it.
All right.
Thank you, Dan Byer.
Appreciate you, buddy.
Thank you, bud.
We got more Kavino and Rich next.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to our first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember
I think it was on a call about what we should call it
And we were thinking I'm originally calling it
One of the early names of our band
Before Jonas Brothers
This is how you guys remember it going down
Yes I have a very different memory of this
We were talking about a thing
A bit for the podcast
People could call in and say hey Jonas
And then I wrote down on my little notepad
Hey Jonas and offered it up as a potential title
For the podcast
But thanks for remembering that guy

Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel.

Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast, Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game.
His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before.
And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series
because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid.
He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us
on the night-to-night bases on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson,
we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash would get that thing.
That man, hell get to fly.
He running up the court, licking his fingers,
why he got the ball, like,
After you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

I wholeheartedly think, you know, you hit third.
You shouldn't have to share one with anybody.
Mm-hmm.
From navigating friendships and healing
to setting boundaries
and prioritizing your mental health.
These are real, honest conversations.
We don't always get to have out loud.
Totally unreasonable with different parts of life, right?
Like, oh, we'll have all three meals
and make sure you're mindful during all of them?
Absolutely not.
During one meal, I'm standing.
I'm standing and handing my children food.
Because healing, empowerment, and resilience
aren't just ideas.
their practices.
And this Mental Health Awareness Month, there's no better time to pour back into yourself.

This week on Crimless, we're joined by our first ever guest.
Sorry, our first ever human guest.
I don't think I could be in the same room with Shamrock the parrot.
I'd be too nervous.
That's right.
The very funny Will Ferrell joins Rory Scovel and me, Josh Dean, for an episode dedicated to the many crimes committed by people also named Will Ferrell.
By the way, normally the cops are amused.
But this did not.
It was the cops.
Will even comes clean about some of his own crimes.
I didn't get caught.
You know why?
If you don't want to be suspected of anything, you whistle as you walk.

And then we head to New Orleans. But join us tomorrow.
live from Vegas. Right now we're talking
about Carl Anthony Towns and how
he gifted Salome that jersey.
And we're going to your phone calls.
The coolest thing you were ever handed
by a celebrity or
an athlete. Or you caught it at a concert.
I want to hear about it. I mean, clearly
my T's didn't work because I said I had the best
answer ever. You don't even care?
Well, is it better than our buddy
Keto 5-0, Eric Reynolds? He said
he caught a ball from each euro.
Each euro threw him a ball.
And when he made the Hall of Fame, he was like, dude,
and I still have it. It's awesome.
My daughter at a concert
full of 55,000 people caught a guitar pick
from corn from Monkey himself,
from the band Corn. Oh, good for her.
I mean, out of all those people, that's awesome.
All right, what do you got?
The year was 1988.
88.
What do you have, like, Keith Hernandez's mustache hairs?
What do you got?
I was at Nashville Coliseum on Long Island
at a wrestling event.
And Georgie Animal Steel ripped open the turmbuckle, and he threw all of it right at me.
That's the number one answer on the board.
No, I have, as a kid, in his eaten turmbuckle foam.
In a Ziplock bag as a kid, I'm not a joke.
I had turmbuckle from that.
What a wrestling nerd.
George the Animal Steel.
I'm glad we waited for the number one answer.
Oh, stop it.
All right.
Go to Montana and Mike, rapid fire to wrap the show.
What's up, Mike?
Gentlemen, good afternoon.
What you got?
Long time, first time.
I got two quick ones.
One, I was living in New York in 2012, and a friend from high school was engaged to the engineer for the Black Keys.
Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys was doing a show at the Brooklyn Academy of Music with Dr. John, whose record he just produced.
She got me the backstage pass from her boyfriend.
I got to go back, meet everybody, fanboy to Dan Auerbach, shake his hand.
I'll never forget it.
No, that's awesome.
That's good.
Yeah, that's really cool.
Andy and Mississippi.
What's up, Andy?
Yeah, thanks.
Because the Jackson Mets won their Texas League Championship, and they had an anniversary at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame.
And I got to meet Daryl Strawberry and got his autograph for the picture.
I love that.
That's nice.
All right.
See, everyone's got their own story.
Vegas, Mark.
What's up?
I appreciate you having these kinds of topics.
It makes you reminisce on some old times.
Nice.
I got one that's a little different.
It's a tremendous answer.
Tremendous.
When I was a kid.
I'm 50, so back in about 82, I was six or seven, eight years old.
And we see Sigfrid and Roy.
And I don't even know what these guys are yet.
But my mom is like, oh, that's Shigford and Roy.
So as a kid, I just yelled out, hey, Sifred and Roy.
And they came over and gave me a hat.
And it was a black and white stripe like Tiger Hat.
Dude, you bet you win.
I don't even know if I want to take another call.
We win.
We said the coolest thing you were ever given.
This kid got a Sigfrid and Roy, Tiger hat.
I thought they were going to give him one of their tigers.
Wait, hold on. We're going to put you on hold because Rich wants to offer you money for it to match his t-shirt.
You know what? Everyone else, you'll go to Ray real quick.
Ray, in Northern Cali. Wrap this up, Ray. Beat that. What's up, man?
Hey, I was at a comedy show, and Chong was selling his bongs, and I bought one, and he dry-hitted.
Oh, okay.
Oh, that's great. A used teaching Chong-Bong. A chong. That's perfect.
Like that. Hey, all your feedback and we couldn't get to you at Covino and Rich.
And we'll see you live tomorrow from Las Vegas.
And coming up next, anything we didn't get to, our bonus pod over promised.
We're going to get to a bunch of NFL stuff there as well.
That's live.
Join the live chat on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page and join us live tomorrow from Vegas.
Until then, have a great Thursday night.
And again, Super Bowl week all week next week in New Orleans.
Arirvederechi, baby.
We will see you in the Promise Land.
Goodbye.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your

They say we can't polish a turd, but we're sure going to try.
So let's get blunt with laughs, tears, or tears of laughter.

Will Ferrell's Big Money Players and IHart Podcasts presents Soccer moms.
Oh, they hit a bogo.
Well, then you got them.
Listen to soccer moms on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
What's up, fam?
It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano.
It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast point game, the playoffs.
We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season.
And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments.
If we didn't talk ever again, I was partying.
You just understood.
That's how personal it got.
Wow.
Then after that game seven, Marquis keep coming to him.
He's like, you know I love you, dog.
You know, it's all love.
This was just playoffs.
This was just basketball.
So listen to Point Game on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed human.
