He says, throw those bums out of Yankee Stadium. That's no way for men to act. And I say that's how men do act when you put them in a stadium with other men. That's what they act like. punish them. They're season ticket holders. They went across the street and were interviewed.

I'm surprised the guy when they found him across the street and they asked him about the game. I'm surprised he didn't go out and basically say, hey, listen, it should be Garrig, Ruth, and me in Monument Park. I'm very valuable. I guess my standard is so low for men, but it's like, yeah, this is what happens. I should have a higher standard, but I've been around sports for 50 years. This is what guys do around other guys. Collectively, us men, we've got to get our act together. Yeah.

We're letting it slip, guys. Come on, step up our game. All of us. Yes, that's right. All of us. So Jerry Jones talking about Dak Prescott. I totally disagree with this. And I'll give you a reason why.

But he talks about Dak Prescott. He doesn't want Dak Prescott running anymore. Here's Jerry Jones. You really don't want to see him really take off with that ball. these quarterbacks that run, you know they're going to get injured. And that happens. And happens to the youngest, happens to the best. It's happened to that.

I wouldn't say it's up there's read letters and the practice facility don't run, but I would say that we want him to be smart about it, and he is being smart about it. I don't want to see him. By the way, the Cowboys need DAC to run because they don't have a run room. It's a bad running back group. And I would say last weekend is a prime example of why running does. matter as long as you use discretion. I just don't think Dak can run ever since he broke his ankle. He can't run. Brock Purdy is a great example. Brock Purdy had a really, really rough first half

against the Cowboys. He threw behind Debo Samuel. He was low. It's like an NBA player. He lost confidence in his jumper. But yet in the second half, he was the Niners. He ended up being the Niners second leading rusher. And that got his confidence back throwing. Justin Herbert, four rushes, 49 yards. Crucial in that game because they have no perimeter weapons. And Jaden Daniels has one really good wide receiver. Eight rushes 52 yards. Now, you don't want him to get hurt. Kyler Murray against Miami in the second half. If you can run, run. Trust me, defensive coordinators would love it if mobile quarterback's just that in the pocket, always. Now, you've got to be sitting in the pocket's more important, but between Brock Purdy,

Justin Herbert, Jaden Daniels, and Kyler Murray this weekend was a great example, especially when you get to the second half and you're off script and things break down and you lose an offensive lineman. The quarterback that can get upfield, move the change. I'd go to Patrick Mahomes, a couple of the Super Bowl wins for him. He's had a huge second half run. I don't need nine of them, but I thought this weekend, quarterbacks who were struggling to move the ball, the occasional dart outside.

the pocket is a huge, huge, unscheduled opportunity. And when you have the weakest running back room in the league like the Dallas Cowboys do, I think Dax should move more than he is this year. I just don't think he can't. He's not Aaron Rogers or Kirk Cousins immobile, but he's closer to those guys than Lamar Jackson. And with that, Joel Clatt, the voice of college football at Fox Sports, who's got the biggest game of the weekend. The only matchup between top 10 teams.

This is going to be one for the ages. What's up, buddy? It's going to be Ohio State. I agree with that. At Penn State. The whole DAC take? That was a good one. Yeah.

That was good. Yeah, I spent a lot of time on that one. Well, think about it. Every single quarterback, if you're going to be a great third down team and no average team, you know, is no great team is not good on third down. You've got to have a quarterback steal one or two. Always. Unless you have an offensive line as dominant as Detroit's. Okay.

No, that's fine. There are exceptions. That offensive line is the bat. There's been three great O lines in the NFL in a decade, Dax early cowboy O line, the Eagles before Jason Kelsey retired, and this one in Detroit. Yeah, I agree with that. Even Belichick yesterday on the other place was like, yeah, there's no real way to stop them. Cross your fingers and hope they run out of gas.

All right, so let's talk about this. So I have been on Ohio State. I said they're going to lose to Oregon and they're going to meet them in the national championship. But in the Oregon game, what was troubling is the defense got gashed by a good quarterback, but mostly a college quarterback. I watched them against Nebraska, and they can't run the football, and they beat Nebraska. But if Nebraska's play calling, in my opinion, would have been a little more creative in the fourth quarter, I thought Nebraska could have walked out with a W. Something's, I just feel like this.

It's always something with Ohio State. defense, they can't run the football. Doesn't it feel like they're leaking a little oil? At this point, yeah, obviously. And part of that is injuries. So their left tackle against Oregon, Josh Simmons goes out. And Simmons would have been, you talked to some scouts, they were saying like late first round,

early second round, like that's how well he was playing. And he was next to an All-American Guard, Donovan Jackson. So the left side of their offensive line was the strength of their offensive line. I would have considered them more of a left-handed run team because of that. And when he went out, they have not found the secret code to like reestablish the run game like they had earlier in the season without Simmons in at tackle.

And they tried to play this Zen Mahalski. It didn't really work out. He got banged up. And so now you're kind of juggling. We might see Donovan Jackson out at tackle, which we saw late in that game against Nebraska. So it's patchwork. It's going to be patchwork. So yeah, like leaking oil, I think is an interesting way to put it.

state's a bad team to play. Well, especially there. Yes. When you're struggling on the offensive line, you don't want to go to Happy Valley because the crowd noise coupled with the fact that this is, and the data bears this out, over the last three years, nobody rushes the passer better than Penn State. Regardless of a player, by the way, that's Chop Robinson, Abdul Carter. They've always got a great rush in. They've always got that, and they always utilize their crowd noise.

Remember, this is one of the great environments in all of college. Oh, it's fantastic. And so they utilize that crowd noise to really get after the quarterback. This was, let's just take a step back. Let's go back to last year. Michigan goes to Penn State. Everyone's like, man, they ran at 32 straight times. Speaking of Michigan, right?

Remember that? Yeah. They had to. They couldn't block Chop Robinson, the defensive end, who ended up getting taken in the draft. Because of the crowd noise, because they had a patchwork offensive line, and they had an out. They said, okay, we're going to put extra offensive linemen on the field. We're going to put extra tight ends on the field. And we're just going to

take your pass rush away from you. I don't know if Ohio State can do that. So think about it this way. The last couple of years, it's been a Marvin Harrison show against the Nittany Lions, each of the last two years. Remember two years ago against Joey Porter? He was great with Stroud. Third down, he was incredible.

Last year, they went to him early off and established the offense. I actually think if Michigan's answer to Penn State's pass rush was running the football, I think Ohio State is going to be more passing the football. I don't think that they're going to sit there and try to make it work with this patchwork offensive line running the ball. I think they're going to say, hey, Will Howard, Jeremiah Smith, a mecca, Abuka, go win the game. You know, it's interesting. To go win, if you're a team that goes to Penn State and Wins or Ohio State and Wins or Alabama, this is just off the top of my head, it could be wrong.

But generally, you have to silence the crowd. You have to get the crowd. These are all 20-year-old kids. This is not the NFL. You don't have as good electronics. Like, you go on the road, generally. Let me back this up, right? Am I right or wrong?

What did Georgia not do against Alabama that they did do against Texas? Ran the ball? Got an early lead. Early league. So they take the air out of the building a little bit, right? And you relieve pressure on yourself. What did Ohio State not do against Oregon? They did not own the game early.

Therefore, the crowd becomes a bigger part of it. So you're right. I think that this whole avenue that you're on is correct. So when you go on the road to win, there's a couple of elements that really help you. generally like a first round NFL quarterback, kid with experience, you go on the road, J.J. McCarthy. Yeah. I got a lot of starts.

Yeah. You know what I mean? That's for secondly, offensive line prowess. Yeah, I agree. Nothing gets a crowd riled up like a big sack. And so Michigan went on the road last year and it's like first round quarterback, dominant O line. They made places quiet really fast.

Nine, ten play, boring drive. What do you cheer about? Now you're telling me, and I'm watching Ohio State's own line and run game, you're not going to dominate the line of scrimmage. I think Will Howard's a good player. I don't think he's great, but I like him. This game feels like, to me, you don't have the elements needed to keep Happy Valley quiet.

Well, the big caveat here is that Penn State is also struggling, I guess you could say, or in between quarterbacks because of the injury to Drew Aller, and now it might be Bo Perbula, their backup that is playing. They still don't know if they have an elite wide receiver, certainly not. Stewart elite, which is the guy who burned Ohio State in that Oregon, Ohio State matchup. And so you look at this and, well, let's say it this way. This is going to be Ohio State's second road, true road, top five matchup of the season.

That's unheard of in college football history. Oregon's better than Penn State, right? I believe so. I do too. I believe so. But this is their second top five road matchup of the year. That's already happened this year. happened to Georgia. What can we learn from Georgia

that may be way better in the second roadie? They were way better in the second road game. And specifically their defense and just their overall connectivity in terms of how they were going to win the game. Their offense didn't play great. Carson Beck turned the ball over. Offense didn't play great. They didn't need to why. The defense played outstanding. Gave them short fields, allowed them to build that

23-point lead. The question about Georgia going into Texas is the same question about Ohio State going into Penn State. which is kind of a wonky offensive line. We didn't, I didn't. Had injuries up front? Yeah, Georgia's whole line against Kentucky and Bamma was bad. That's right. So who stepped up, Georgia's defense?

So now you look at, for me, you look at the wide receivers for Ohio State and you look at that defense. Yes, they got torched against Oregon. Guess who got torched earlier in the year before the Texas game? The Georgia defense in the first half against Alabama. And they corrected those wrongs. There's so many parallels for those two teams in this situation. Because, again, I go back to this.

What is conference realignment actually given us? Incredible matchups. We just don't see in the history of this sport, teams at the top end, having to go twice in true road games to play top five matchups. It just doesn't happen. Okay, so I got to say is that, you know, a lot of times in sports, we're all captivated by the sizzle, and then as you inspect it, you don't see a ton of stake.

I will say the first couple of years of the transfer portal in Colorado was a lot of sizzle. But there would not a lot of meet the old sandwich. You're going to be revisionist. You're trying to backpedal. But I will tell you this. They run the ball now. Yeah.

Defensive lines pretty good. Yeah. Now, is Colorado beating non-impressive teams, or is this a team that could make the playoff to you? Is Colorado a potential number 11-12 seed? Can they beat a Utah? Absolutely. Right now.

I mean, Utah is a 500 team right now. I know, but I mean, have you, have you. We look at Utah and Kansas State. The Kansas State beat them. I look at those. I mean, they had the lead in the last three minutes against Kansas State. That's a one-lost team. That's a ranked team.

Colorado could absolutely beat anybody left on their schedule, which means that they could wind up 10 and 2. And depending on what happens in the rest of the Big 12, like let's just say Kansas State beats Iowa State or, you know, regardless, or BYU gets tripped up against Kansas or U.S. Utah. Let's just say for the sake of argument that Colorado finds its way into the Big 12 championship game, they could absolutely beat any of those players in college football. Right now, right now, they've got the best quarterback and the best position player in the

sport right now. And you're right, by the way, about their line of scrimmage. It's not just PR and Sizzle and Instagram. We're not saying they're Texas. No, but this is a real team. Their top 20 and stop rate with their defense, their their offensive line is protecting Shadur much better. Remember now, remember. Two years ago, they lost 11 football games. Those 11 losses were by an average of 29.

29. So what Deon's been able to do in basically a year and a half is pretty staggering. Do you think he'll go pro? No. Do you think he'd go to a better college job? I mean, I'm an alum, so I sure hope not. I will say this. I think that

just as as much Colorado needed Deion, I think Dion needs a place like Colorado. Let's like, I'm an alum. I don't care what he does with our history. You know what I'm like? I'm not sitting here saying like, we've got to have,

you know, he's got to be adherent to our culture. He can create anything. He can create anything at Colorado. See, like, let's just say for sake of argument, he goes to like a bigger, let's just throw one out there.

Like an A&M. Not that he would have a chance to go on A&M. A&M's great with Mike Elko. That's not what I'm suggesting. I'm saying a program, like an A&M. They are so dyed in the wool Aggie fans that they want someone to come in and be a part of their culture.

Like Penn State. And that's what Mike Elko has done. That's right. The uniforms, the traditions, all of the different things, Colin. You're exactly right. So this is why Mike Elko is working in Jimbo Fisher is not because Mike feels like an Aggie. He's come in and he's a part of their culture. See, at Colorado, Deon's building his culture.

It's like, hey, man, here's the keys. 11 losses by an average of 29. whatever you want. No, I like that. For the record, that's what Phil Knight did to Oregon football. Yeah. Washington had all the tradition. I remember once I went to a Husky game, they wore white pants, outraged by the booster. Oregon's like, we're going to have 400 uniforms. Yeah, and more than that.

Eric is like, ah, that's awesome. And that's why they dominate L.A. recruiting. So do I think he'll leave? I don't know. I don't know. I know that he's got it very good at Colorado. Not every place is perfect, certainly, and I'm sure that there's frustrations. I'm an alum, so I'm obviously going to hope that he stays. And by the way, I just, I think it's a good spot for him. And if he can grab a couple of these recruits that they're talking about,

then they're going to be good moving forward. Okay, Oregon number one. Let's see, Joel Clatt, I have Oregon number one. Now, they've had a bit of a scheduling break. Had they gone on the road with Boise State they may have lost. I mean, some of this is they got it, as they scuffed early, they played a lot of home games. That helped.

Yeah, it really did help. And I go back to a conversation that I have. had with Dan Lending over the summer. I like him. Really, I think he's a great... I didn't think a Southern defensive coach would go to Oregon and crush. He's impossible not the route for. He's really good.

I really like him. He's really good. And he's unapologetic about the way that he goes about his business and all the right ways. And, you know, he and I were talking, we actually played golf up at Eugene Country Club. Oh, that's nice. It was a great place. I'm not allowed in there, but it hurt it's great.

That's right. We don't allow you any. He was talking about how it took Bo Nix a while after the transfer to really get it and to really get Oregon. Yeah, get Oregon to get the system, to become comfortable in the system. And he felt like Dylan was just ahead of Bo, but that it would still take some time. And what's happened? Exactly what Dan told me on the golf course back in July, which was it took him a little time. And now all of a sudden you look up and who's getting better,

single week. Oregon. Who is correcting their weaknesses? Oregon. Whose quarterback is playing as well or anybody in the country? Oregon. Whose offensive line has gotten way better since the beginning of the year and is healthy? Oregon. Whose defense is playing better? Oregon, you look up and it's like, yeah, Oregon's the number one team of the country, not just because they beat Ohio State, but because they're playing better football than anybody else right now. And that's a credit to Dan Lannning. Are you still kicking the ball when nobody's looking when you play golf? Because that was the criticism early was it was it the criticism dan's like i thought that you were behind the tree wow that's that's you know like that is uh i mean those those are big accusations so when it comes to

golf i'm not saying you're cheating in the n i'll it's just moving the ball a little it's not that big of an accusation okay you're a baseball guy hey guys in the back give me the yankee stadium uh give me these guys that should be a monument park yeah the guys that grabbed the ball so let's first of all let's put up clats top 10 i don't disagree with any of it. Oregon, Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas. Indiana's got a great coach. I think there's a little smoke and mirrors. They'll meet better teams later. Okay. Okay. Well, I mean, they'll play better teams. Oh, they will. They're going to have to go to Ohio State. Now, that's going to be a big one. They've got Michigan State this weekend on the road. They've got Michigan next week. They're going to have to go to

Ohio State, so they've got a tougher end of the season. I'm telling you, just watch out for Clemson. I like, Clemson is better than Miami. Miami's undefeated, but watch out for Clemson. Miami's going to get beat. Okay. I want you as a former, You played minor league baseball. Yeah. So three seasons. And how many years? Three seasons.

Didn't go well. I had to quit and walk on. What level were you at? I played a couple of double A games in spring training. I hit behind, actually. Do you want a quick story? Do we have time for a quick story? Yeah.

Nothing but time. Okay. So, yeah, I'm sure. I'm sure. 2001, I'm in spring training with the San Diego Padres organization. What year is this? 2001. And they sign a 40, I believe,

two-year-old Ricky Henderson to a minor league contract. And Sean Burroughs, and God rest his soul, was the AAA third baseman. I played third base. So they said, hey, Joel, just go take Sean's spot. His arm is sore for the week and just hit second,

play third base, which is what Sean's job was on the AAA team. So I was like, okay, great. So I'm going, and it's just on the side field, you know, the AAA team. And the next day, the Padres signed Ricky Henderson to a Inter League contract. So he's playing on the AAA team hitting leadoff in front of me. And so I'm sitting and I'm like, this is incredible. I'm a 19 year old. Here's a 41, 42 year old Ricky Henderson

and he would be in the on deck circle and he would look back at me before he walked up and he'd be tapping his toes. You know, he'd be doing his little like Ricky, Ricky shuffle and he'd look at me and he'd be like, three, two. And I was like, what is he, what is he saying to me right now? I don't, understand. And all I could think of, Colin, is I wanted to hit a home run with him on base so that he had to wait at home and I was just going to give him a bash brothers. Because like, why not, right? Like, you talk about it. Three and two mean? Exactly. That's why I'm like, why is he telling me a number? And he'd be on first base and he'd be talking to himself at first base. There's no fans there. It's minor league, you know, baseball in spring training. And so you can hear him

over there and he'd be like, Ricky gets on. Ricky gets on. He'd be tapping his toes and everyone's like, man, this is incredible. So I'm swinging from the heels because I want to hit a home run, man. I want to, you know, I want him to wait there. I'm going to give him the Bash Brothers. I'm just, I'm looking dead red first pitch fastballs just swinging. A manager's nightmare. Yeah, exactly.

So I finally, after a couple of games of him telling me a number every time he walked up. One, two. I finally asked the manager, I'm like, Skip, why does Ricky keep telling me a number? Like, I am totally lost. And he's like, son, that's how many pitches he expects. you to take so he can steal second. And I was like, oh, got it, got it. So he's not happy that I'm swinging from the heels.

Either was your man. No, it was Skipper. Yeah, Skip. And I'm like, thanks for telling me two days ago, guys. Unbelievable. Okay, show the Yankee video of the guys, a couple Bianco, the kid who interferes and somebody tries to wrestle with mokey bats. So this is, and Jay Max, like, throw these bums out of the sport.

Why, JMA? What are they supposed to do? They're called fanatics. What do you make of this? What do you think? It's amazing. By the way, the umpire correctly said, you're out. The stadium said you're out.

Yeah, exactly. So they got punished. I mean, they got everything they need. What do they spot? I love this guy. Look at him. He's like, give me that. Jamack, what's your problem with this?

He wants him to go to the Bronx jail for a month. I said nothing of the sort. MLB is apparently considering whether or not they will let these guys go to the stadium tonight. I know the Yankees are okay with it, but MLB will see what they say. They should walk in late and get a standing ovation from the whole section. People are really reacting to this.

Why? Like, they got what, okay, is it against the rules? Well, they were kicked out of the game. Then they were kicked out of the game. But what are they supposed to do? They're supposed to try to help their team win. Yeah. They're called fans for a reason.

They're fanatics, folks. Like, let's stop J-Mack. Come on. What is this? You're like... How are these meatballs supposed to help the Yankees win? You're like the... the coach from Remember the Titans.

Was it? Denzel? Was it Denzel? Was it, are we having fun now? Are we, is this one? No, no fun, sir.

That's J-Mack. Jay Mac's the no-fund-s-sur-gui. Let's be honest. New York hasn't won anything at a decade. Yes. This is, this is to them,

and they're going to get, you know, they're not winning this series. Who's the best, who's your favorite guy? Is it the guy in the road uniform that, like, is trying to be like, throw his hands up and be like,

no. Or is it the guy in the sunglasses, trying to explain himself, like, no, this is our area. He came into our area. I like that guy the best. That's what he actually said after. They quoted him.

He goes, this is our wall. Well, that's exactly right. He's a Yankee fan. To him, it's his whole section. J-Mack. Walk him in late, bring them in, like, with lights, give him an entrance. You know, have everyone applaud. Why are you so...

I'll celebrate these guys. Come on. Let's know. Let's go a party for it. That's right. Come on. What are we doing, Jay-Mack? Invite him on the Fox set tonight with A-Rod and big poppy in there.

Guys, bring them on the set. Bionco, I got a chair open right now. Bring him on this show. This is incredible. Why are you so angry? Yeah, I know. This is the guy that grounds his kids for a month because they don't do their bed when they leave for school. They don't make their bed. Yeah, that's a big one. That's a big one. No fun in your house.

Come on, Clat. No fun in your house. You make your kids brush your teeth or they just know to do it? I mean, I don't think this is brushing your teeth. You know, when my kids are having fun out and out in the yard, I'm not like, hey, no laughing. No laughing out there. What is this? Oh, he's supposed to have a game right now?

What my friend texts me, he goes, they could have broken Mookie Bat's wrist. Oh, come on. That's like getting pulled over. That sounds like some soft L.A. Dodgers fan. You hear me? Listen, out here, they just throw stuff at you. That's what they did at the Padres.

They just decided to throw stuff. Man, I tell you what. Why? I don't understand this J-Mack take. I don't give it. Try working with him. I tell you what. You get it once a week.

The best argument you have, if you're a Dodger fan or you're really bothered by these players, the best argument is, hey, just don't touch the players. The go for the ball, do whatever you want, spill a beer, just to, well, but my take is, well, you don't want to touch the players, you don't want to throw stuff at the players. There's a lot of lines you don't want to cross. But I think there's a reasonable argument, like just don't touch mokey bets. And it looked like they were monkey and very much monkeying with the glove. And then one of them grabs his arm, that guy.

So Major League Baseball has just announced those two guys will not be allowed in the stadium tonight, at least if the Yankees can control it. In honor of these two, I'm going to have a meatball parm sandwich for lunch because there are a couple of meatballs. And I think in honor of these guys and support these guys, a meatball marinerer sandwich. But I do think there are lines you don't want to cross, but I think fans obliterate them. You don't want to get into a fight at a stadium. There's one every time I go. You don't want to throw stuff. I've seen that happen at Texas and Dodger Stadium recently.

You don't want to touch a player. Well, we just saw it happen. The lines have been blurred so much that it's just part of the world we live in. I've always thought we're going to have a bad incident in the NBA. It's just going to happen eventually. I'm just waiting for this awful moment. But I think there is an argument to be made. Major League Baseball said, you touched a player.

You're out for the game. Come back next year. I don't have a problem with that. That's a good take. J. Mack with the news. No. No. No. No. Turn on the news.

This is the herd line news. Let's go back to the NFL. The Pittsburgh Steelers 2 and O with Russell Wilson under center as they handed their by week. Now, six and two overall. Nobody's talking about Justin Fields anymore. Russ has looked pretty good outside of that first quarter against the Jets. He's done well. He's got a total of 500 yards, three touchdowns, no picks.

And he knows the team still has a lot more to prove. We got great confidence. We haven't done anything yet. You know, we're obviously sitting here at six and two, which is a great thing, but it doesn't mean anything. It doesn't mean anything. When we look back at it all, we got to be making sure that we're staying focused on the next task. And that's to really be, take care of our bodies, take care of our minds, enjoy this with your families and all that stuff, this biweek, because we've got a surge ahead of us that we got to go get. And there's a lot of great games ahead of us, and we're not going to shy away from them. And it's amazing. I mean, just think about Pittsburgh.

We looked at them as a fraudulent four and two team. Now I look at them as a viable six and two team just because of one player, Russell Wilson. I mean, it just goes to show, and we don't think Russell is the elite. But going from, I mean, they were four and two, and we were like, this team is, give me a break. But it does show you that Russell is better than Justin is I look at them now totally differently. They're not going to beat great teams. They'll compete with great teams because of their defense.

But just making an upgrade from a young quarterback who isn't really good yet to a veteran quarterback past his prime, but still viable, really changes the perception. I think it changes Mike Tomlin's perception. The one thing Russell's done, he's gone right for Pickens. Like he is making him target number one. The run game now with Nozzi Harris is better with Russell Wilson in there. I think he has three straight, 100-yard or close games. So I do think Pittsburgh, I have them in the top 10. I don't think they're as good as the top three or four teams,

but I think they can compete with anybody with Russell. So let me look at this the other way. They played the Jets who at the time were 2 and 4. But I mean, hammered them. Then they beat the Giants who were 2 and 5. So Russ has basically looked good above average against two bad teams. And the Jets defense, I don't care what anybody said,

preseason. They're not good. But in both games, they dominate the same. second half. They physically wear down people. So it's not just winning. The second half against the Jets was 24-0. They hammered them. I would blame Aaron Rogers and Gary Wilson.

But anyways, here's what's interesting. So they have a buy this week. Washington has a huge divisional matchup against the Giants. Then Washington has to face Pittsburgh. Like, that's a bad spot. So Mike Tomlin now has two weeks to prepare for a rookie quarterback. And Cliff Kingsbury.

It's a tough matchup for them. Things are just looking good for Pittsburgh. man, it's crazy. I'll stand by it, Colin. I don't think this is a good football team, but the record of six and two you can't. Look at the end of that schedule. First of all, they do too many things well not to be a good football

team. Excellent pass rush. They're now running the ball. They have good special teams. They're not turning it over. I mean, they do too many things. They're not Detroit. Let me take it back. I rescind good. They're not a great football. No, they're not. I'll take that back. They're good. They do too many things well

to not be considered a good. good football team. They're very good at home. They don't turn it over now. They're running the ball. They get a pass rush. They're physical. They look well prepared and well coached. Back-to-back weeks, they've done excellent work post-half. I think they're a good football team. I was wrong. Same with me. Next story is let's go to Kirk Cousins. That is best games of the season against Tampa this year, which is kind of clouding some of the numbers. We're going to show them to you here in a second. Cousins had 79% completions against Tampa in two games.

Last week, 276 yards, four touchdowns. Remember, he had the monster Thursday night game. Rahim Morris spoke about just how good Cousins' performance was earlier this week. That was probably his cleanest game as a quarterback as an Atlanta falcon. And I know it's hard to say when he threw for 500 yards one week, but you know how I felt about stats. But yesterday, as far as being clean,

far as throwing a ball exactly where it needs to go, being exhausted progressions, feeling really comfortable, being decisive, doing all different things that Kurt does well. You can see the confidence

in our offense when he's playing that way and the style of play we want to play them. And for the record, once again, look at that. Listen,

he's basically chewing up Tampa and laughing at them. But that's okay. First thing I have to do in the NFL is win the division. That's true. So, but again,

and Michael Pennix is sitting watching this pro win the division. So for the people that complain about Atlanta, Kirk Cousins and Pennix, it's turning out as we predicted on their show. Atlanta would win the division with Kirk Cousins, and for a year, Michael Pennix would watch one of the great pros, like Mahomes watching Alex Smith. Next year, I think Michael Pennix is going to get more of a run. We'll see in camp. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, clarify that, please.

More of a run? I think they'll make, remember, Michael Pennix this preseason, they pulled him after a game. They're like, we've seen enough. Next year, I think there'll be more of a real competition for number one. Huh. And my guess is, Cousins will win it again narrowly. And oh my, he may have to sit Michael Pennix for two years. Jordan Love did that seem to work okay.

So Couss is feasting on this sad sack division. They have four and O against the Saints, Bucks, Panthers. These guys are jokers. The problem is the schedule doesn't really get tough. And that's why this argument about cousins, maybe not being the guy next year is tough. Collins, they're on track to win 11 or 12 games. That's what I predicted.

I told you I thought they could be the number one seed in the NFC. That was my prediction. They were going to win 12 games. That's not out of the realm. I mean, they're going to need some things to break their way like Detroit to lose this week. And again, the Eagles schedule is off. Saints are now a tire fire. Saints are awful. Well, Derek Carr's coming back this week.

I mean, I know we lost five in a row or something. You're not the biggest fan of him. Six in a row or something. True. But again, the late season schedule, like Vegas, Giants, Carolina, three of their last four. Again, I don't see, if they're able to get 11 or 12 wins and win a playoff game, you think Pennix is going to have a shot next year? Yeah, that's just, I know you love Pennix, man, but, uh... Well, I love cousins.

This is... How can you love both? Okay, I had three. Is that like, like, you're dating a girl, and then you start to realize her roommate's nice, too, and you try to date both of them? I don't do that. You can't like the backup and the starter. You have to pick one.

I can like that. You cannot. That's, come on. That's against the sports fan's rules. I made three predictions this season. One, Denver would be better than everybody thinks. Two, Washington would make a playoffs. And three, Atlanta would battle for the number one seat.

Been a pretty pretty good year. Listen, don't hurt yourself, patting yourself on the back. In week eight, Colin, a lot of can still happen. But yes, so far, some of your predictions are, damn it. Looking really good. Final story is the loss of Stefan Diggs. That's a bummer for the Texans. He's out for the season, torn ACL.

Nico Collins still not back. They're hopeful for next week. So, again, they're playing the Jets here tomorrow night, Colin. And D'Amico Ryans believes the rest of his wide receiver room will pick up the slack. One thing that sticks out, huts, and all these guys, is from our last game, just showing guys winning their one-on-one opportunities. Huts, going to the ground there, making a tough catch, matchy, finding a way to win, in an off-scheduled moment during the game

and come up with a big catch. That's all we ask, is win your one-on-one and make the plays that you're supposed to make. If guys do that, like, collectively as a team, will be just fine. And that's what Houston is. They're just fine. Not great, just fine.

So Tank Dell, someone named Xavier Hutchison. I'm not familiar with his work. Robert Woods, John Mechie. That's the wide receiver room the Jets are going up against. You know, you made a suggestion yesterday. date. Jacoby Myers. He's good. I like that guy. So do I. I'm surprised.

Trade deadline Jacobi Myers. You would keep an eye on him? I don't know. Does he play for a team where you know the GM? No, that's not it. He might. Interesting. Jay Mack with the news. Well, that's the news.

Tonight at Yankee Stadium, they'll try to keep their comeback hopes alive. While the Dodgers look to clinch their eighth championship in franchise history,

coverage of game five begins tonight at 7 Eastern 4. So the two fans in New York that interfered with Mookie Betts last night, Mookie Betts said, no big deal, let's move on. But today, you know, midweek Wednesday show, it is sort of funny. And both the, one of the fans, as we show it again, he claimed, hey, I protect this section, I protect this wall, I'm willing to get kicked out to protect this wall. That's really how he views himself as very, very important. And I think a lot of fans, he's a season ticket holder.

And obviously, you should not touch Mookie Betts. But, I mean, these are young. You know, it's John with the fans. And sometimes players jaw back at the fans. The Padres did that to Dodger fans. The Dodger fans threw stuff at them. So all fan bases have bad behavior. Texas fans throwing stuff on the field in the game against Georgia because of a bad call.

But I think the funniest part is these fans, when interviewed after, they were saying, hey, I'm willing to get kicked out to pretend. my wall. And I really believe that they want to be in Monument Park. And so apparently the Yankees, seeing the value of these two guys, have decided right between a Garrigan,

Ruth, you know, Capo Bianco and his buddy, you know, they're going to be there going forward. Monument Park. They really are an important part of Yankee history. Now, Major League Baseball has swooped in and decided, you guys can't be here tonight, which is probably

the right call. But maybe I'm too I'm too, you know, I think my standard for fans is so low. I had a friend go to the Dodger game the other night and he got great, great seats and he said somebody sitting by him was a total jerk. Young

fan, total jerk. It's like I don't go to a lot of sporting events because of that. Like it's just, you know, I'd rather sit in my little media space, watch it, take notes, have fun, eat soup. Eat soup. So there's been a couple times where I've had good seats at the Dodgers where

like the on-deck guys within like 15 feet of me. Yeah. And you can say some stuff. And sometimes I'll look them up online, the player, and find a joke and say something funny. And the player will kind of look up and laugh, like smirk. Like, oh, that was kind of funny. That's right.

But I'm not like talking trash. My kids are with me. So I'm not like dropping F bombs and saying stuff. I'm assuming these guys were cursing out mooky bets as they're trying to pry open his glove. And the Yankees and Major League Baseball did announce 20 minutes ago that they're not going to be welcome back tonight. All right.

Yeah, I mean, that's, I mean, you know what's remarkable. is how young the crowd is. I notice this when I go to Laker games. Young people are struggling to get work. You've been reading stories about that. Why not go out? I mean, look how young that crowd is? If you're struggling to get work, how are you affording World Series tickets? Because your parents actually work harder than the kids.

Parents have put the time in. Kids are now soft, and so they don't, you know, so the parents are paying for the tickets. You think these guys are going back to live with their parents? They're not going to Goldman Sachs tomorrow. I'll tell you that. By the way, this made me laugh. So I saw this this morning.

The NFL draft order for next year, as of this morning, see if you notice anything on the NFL draft order. Here's the NFL draft order this morning. Panthers, Titans, Patriots, Jets, Jaguars, Saints, Raiders, Browns, Giants. Is that the 2017 draft order or the 2022? It's the same teams every year. I mean, it just cracks me up every year. And I guarantee you.

one of these teams is going to mortgage their future and move up for Cam Ward or Quinn Ewers and they'll be drafted the next seven years in this space. You don't see the Chiefs in there very much. You know what's that? Or the Packers don't, not very regularly up there. Okay. So of these nine, these magnificent nine, who needs a quarterback? Panthers are taking one, right?

Okay, let's do that. But I don't know if the Titans, are we sure the Titans taking a quarterback? Yes. Okay. Just had to check. I know Lovis' Okay, Panthers, Titans, I think the Saints will, Raiders, giants, I think the Browns will.

You skipped over the Jets? I don't think they are. I think they'll take them in the fifth round. They won't take one. Fifth round? No. I think they would offend Aaron. Oh, that's what we've got to placate Aaron Rogers. I mean, he's delivered in the clutch.

He's won so many games for the Jets. You've got to placate him. You've got to, Aaron. You don't, you think they're going to draft the first round quarterback? I would. I don't care what Aaron Rogers wants. He's not delivering wins. They have shown no ability to push back on Aaron.
