No, I think J.D. Vance is like 39. Who's that? He's the guy. He's the new. Oh, right, right, right, right. The new guy. Yeah, yeah, the Ohio guy. Yeah, he's like 39. I like somebody whose age starts with a three. I'm just for young people. So Andy Reid was talking yesterday.

Nick Wright in about five minutes. Andy Reid was talking yesterday about retirement and stuff. And everybody's trying to get Andy Reid into retirement. Can we stop? I want more Andy Reid's in the league, not fewer. His play calling, his play design. Belichick was grumpy. See you later.

I like Andy Reid. And I thought, what's funny about this sport is that we all acknowledge it is a quarterback league, but it's really a quarterback and a coach's league. And I was just sitting there this morning. I'm not going to count Jim Harbaugh because he's been out of the league for years. Joe Gibbs left the league for years. Took him about a year to catch up. I think Harbaugh is going to end up being a top 10 coach very quickly.

I think his brother's unbelievable. But if I had to name the top 10 coaches in the NFL today, I think this, and it feels the same way. When Belichick was in his prime, there was a big gap Belichick to two. When Jordan was in his prime, there was a big gap MJ to the two. When LeBron was in his prime, when you're really great, it means there's a huge gap between you and the next guy. And that's how I kind of feel with Andy Reid right now.

So let's do my top 10 coaches in the NFL before we get to Nick Wright. I think Andy Andy Reid's an easy one. Experience, play design, play calling. He's got the second most playoff appearances by any coach in league history behind Shula and Belichick. He's been the winningest coach

for two different teams. And I think the league punished him for a long time because it was a defensive league. The minute the NFL pivoted to an offensive league, Andy Reid has dominated it. He's number one. I think Sean McVeigh is the best

culture center in the league. He got a head coaching job in the NFL at 30 years old, won a Super Bowl at 36, and this guy's had eight different quarterbacks play a snap in seven seasons. He's been in a very good division, and I've had other people in the NFL say this. His ability to not only see personnel in college, but develop it quickly in the NFL. There's a reason the Rams do not have a lot of busts when they do. draft. They have a good GM, but his ability to get the most out of every player in a roster is, I think, historically remarkable. And he's a good guy. Number three, the most underrated coach, maybe at my lifetime, John Harbaugh, because Jim gets so much attention. This guy

has a number one scoring defense under John Harbaugh. They always have great special teams, often best in the league, under John Harbaugh. And right now they have the best rushing offense in the NFL under John Harbaugh. All three elements of the sport. Defense elite, special teams elite, run game elite. The guy can flat out coach four-time AFC championship game. Apparent to Super Bowl. Even the Andy Reid's acknowledge, I'm going to let Spags do defense.

Harbaugh does everything well. Drafting, player development, leadership culture, run game, special teams defense. Number four, he's a buddy, but I think Sean Pays. Peyton's brilliant. Nine season was double-digit wins. You know, last year, everybody was banging on Russell Wilson. He got the best out of Russell Wilson. Russell's not going to be that good in Pittsburgh. He's not going to be that good.

It was the Broncos defense. And I think if you look at his history, one of seven coaches with a Super Bowl from the Parcell's tree, he likes the rebuilds. People, the Saints were the worst franchise in the history of the league when he took him over. There was no franchise that it was ever had less talent and less cultural relevance in the history of the Saints when he took him over and they had nine years with double-digit wins. Number five Mike Tomlin. Listen, he's had five different offensive coordinators and I don't trust him with O-lines or hiring OCs, but we've got to be honest. Since he's been coach, only two teams have had a better record, the Packers and the Patriots, and he's done it with different quarterbacks.

Never had a losing record. I think he's the great motivator in the NFL. I think he gets players to play above themselves very well. I also think, why I've also said I thought he would be a great college coach he ever wanted to. He's great in teaching. He's very good in motivation and player development. I don't think he has a touch for offense. I don't think, I don't like his offensive coordinator hires, but I put him at five.

Now, you're going to think I have Kyle Shanahan too low at six. but here's the issue. I love Kyle, but he is very tied to his play sheet, and I think it's hurt him late in big games. He has been outscored 58 to 12 in the fourth quarter and overtime of three Super Bowls. Now, again, I think, you know, he's top six in the league. You can argue he should be higher,

but I think John Harbaugh's history of both sides of the football and special teams excellent is above this. Kyle is very good. He is a Andy Reed type coach, a play designer. Again, he is tied to his play sheet, and there are times late in games where I think he gets out coached. I love him. I love his dad. He'll be a Hall of Famer.

I think he's going to win a Super Bowl. But again, once you get past Andy Reed and maybe McVey and Harbaugh, it's inches not feet. Number seven, Matt LaFleur, 56 wins. in five seasons, tied for the second most in league history as a head coach. I thought last year, the playoff win over Dallas in Dallas with the youngest team since the 1970 Buffalo Bills was a crowning achievement. I felt it took a while, but last year, Thanksgiving on, it felt like Matt LaFleur was now running the franchise, and Aaron Rogers and the ghost of Aaron were officially out of the building.

I think he's a really clever guy, very close. He may not be the culture builder of McVeigh. or the play builder of Shanahan, but his IQ, his ability to get along with players and navigate through Aaron Rogers, I think the guy's really good. Number eight, Kevin Stefansky, the Browns. Come on, man, this has been a tire fire my entire life. Two-time coach of the year, two playoff appearances, one a playoff game with Baker Mayfield. The guy is a really sharp dude.

He and Andrew Barry know what they're doing. The Browns had the worst record in the league when he took that over. And I'm sorry, that matters to me. What do you take over? I don't care if you're a radio host. I don't care if you're a business man. What do you take over? He took over the league's biggest circus, and he's made the playoffs twice.

Number nine, Sean McDermott. He's got the most wins in the league without a Super Bowl title. Again, like Mike Tomlin, don't love his inability to create consistent. run games. Tomlin, I don't like his choice on OCs. McDermott, O-line outside of left tackle's been a revolving door. I do think when they landed Cook, their run game will be now substantial going forward. But we can't keep banging on McDermott without also acknowledging this was a lousy organization. He's a very good leader. He's also willing to admit mistakes. And a lot of rigid older coaches don't. He can be a little tight.

He can be tough on coaches, but he is willing to stand up, be a man, and acknowledge mistakes. Much respect for that. Sean McDermott, 9. Number 10, I know he doesn't have a big resume. Damn, I think D'Amico Ryans is great. I got to tell you something. I was told by people in the building at San Francisco, they thought his second year on the staff, they thought he could have been a head coach.

And he was just out of the league. I'm sorry, but to take a rookie quarterback to be a big. build a staff. When I watch Houston play, I think they squeeze every ounce out of their talent. I don't love defensive coaches. That dude is dialed in. That is a culture creator. You know what? He reminds me of a little bit. He's got some McVeigh. Really young, big energy, looks like he could play in the league, and a culture creator who makes quarterbacks very comfortable. Now, I'm not going to put Jim Harbaugh on the list.

I think he'll be great, but he hasn't coached in forever. Who did I miss, J. Mac? I don't know. I mean, the Shanahan stuff is complete. I mean, that's lunacy, Colin. If you're asking around the league GMs, who do you want as your head coach? Kyle Shanahan's probably at worst third. I'm not a Dolphins guy, but where's Mike McDaniel?

He was 11. Dan Campbell told him. So, D'Amico, this Houston. Texan stuff is out of control. One season, and Stroud is the top seven quarterback in the league. One season, Damico Ryan's top ten quarter. It could be true, but can we, can we see a little more? Just a little. Nick Wright joining me live. Oh, boy. Folks, the disrespect for John Harbaugh, the guy's great at everything. Everything he does, he's great. John Harbaugh. No, John Harbaugh, I'm fine with that. I mean, that was the least problem with your list.

Listen, I see Sean Payton at 4, and I'm just happy to know that if somehow I were to ever become an NFL head coach, at least I'd be high on cowards coaching records. Like, that's real loyalty, and I respect that about you. It's one of the things I find admirable. I don't understand how far you have Kyle Shanahan down because you and I agree on Brock Party. Like, if we know what Jimmy Garoppolo was, they were in a Super Bowl and another NFC championship game, You and I, I think, know what Brock Purdy is. They weren't an NFC championship game and then a Super Bowl. So I would have Shanahan a touch higher.

I have no issue with the hardball or Tomlin placement, even though they don't have a bunch of recent playoff success. They're just always in the mix. Two guys who I think weren't, and you said you had Dan Campbell right on the outside of the top team. Kevin O'Connell, Dan Campbell, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes, so Kevin O'Connell was one of them. And Shane Steichen, I think, is interesting.

It very early, you know what I mean? Just a year in, but it's just a year for Domeco. He had a disaster quarterback situation last year after Anthony Richardson got hurt. I liked what he did. And then one other thing I'm remiss to leave out. What you're saying is Kevin Sivansky is true, but it was also true for Baker Mayfield, who was the quarterback that took over that awful team, and then they made the playoffs, one of his two playoff appearances with Baker, his playoff win with Baker.

all that. I'm just saying. I'm just saying that's true, but I know you've come around on Baker. I like the list in general. I think McDermott's a little high. Shanehan's a little low, and that's my biggest. Hey, let me throw this at you. Mike Garofalo, who does a terrific job, just reported this, that

Brandon I, Yuk, the very talented receiver for the Niners has requested a trade because they're not that the Niners and him are far apart. Now, we have talked about this, is that Purdy's not a deep ball thrower, Iyuk can be a really stretch the field player.

That's not what, and again, if Josh Allen's the quarterback, I think you resign him. That's part of it. The other thing is, I think McCaffrey and Debo and the two receivers they drafted, Iyuk's a weird fit for them. It's like we talked about Julius Randall earlier. Really good player, bad fit for the Knicks, don't resign him. I think Iyuk's exceptional. I get this moved by the Niners if they moved off him.

What's your reaction on this? My reaction is I think this will hurt Purdy a lot. I think that they, listen, what they, they've paid everyone. And they are planning, I think, you know, a year from now to have to pay party. But CMAX is the most expensive running back in the league. They paid Debo. Trent Williams, the most expensive left tackle in the league. They have a Nicky Bose's contract is unfathomable in the way it's going to kick in shortly.

And so I understand you can. and Kittle makes good money for his position. So you have to pick and choose your spots, but I think this will be very painful for them. I also, everyone obviously is immediately going to connect him to Washington because of Jaden Daniels, that makes sense. Yeah. And Pittsburgh, because he and Tomlin have kind of been openly flirting,

it would seem, about a partnership at some point. So that makes sense. But there's a lot of teams that could use Brandon Ayyuk. I don't know that the Niners would trade with the team. They're playing in the NFC championship game in this clip right here. But the Lions who still don't really have that wide receiver too and are clearly all in right now, that makes a lot of sense. You would have to think the Buffalo Bills who right now have a pretty naked wide receiver room,

but maybe their hesitancy would be the digs thing didn't end great and if they're concerns with IUC and paying him. But he is an excellent player. that it's going to be hard pressed to find a team that couldn't use him. And I just don't know if the Niners are going to have a restricted pool of teams they're willing to trade with. But Brandon Ayuk will get your first round pick. And probably a little bit more. He's that type of player.

And I imagine he's going to get traded. By the way, speaking of fits, I had said, the Knicks, Isaiah Hartenstein only averages eight points a game. But he was a great fit for that team because he was a real center who, could defend fives. As the league is getting bigger and the Knicks often play four guards, Julius Randall on a max contract feels like a bad fit. I think he's got value. I don't like this story today that James Dolan loves him. What say you? Well, listen, one of the best things that has happened to the Knicks over the last five years is that the sphere in Vegas was being built and opening. And so James Dolan was focused on that and not the Knicks. He let the adults

and professionals run the Knicks. And shockingly, all of a sudden, the Knicks have a real culture, a real roster, and they're real contenders. James Dolan now seems to be back in the mix. He's, you know, releasing statements about saying how the NBA is going to become more like the NFL as if that would be a thing people think is bad. And now he's seemingly meddling a bit in the front office. stuff. One of the biggest benefits, in my opinion, to the contract Jalen Brunson just took is it allows the Knicks the flexibility to trade Julius Randall, not as like a salary dump or just pick up picks, but to get quality players in return. I think Julius Randall is a good NBA player. He has a brutal postseason resume, but it's a pretty small sample size, but it is really brutal

from a field goal percentage standpoint. But I don't know that he fits fully with this team the Knicks have built, and I think he's more useful probably as a trade chip if they are trying to acquire another center, so it's not just Mitchell Robinson as they're only true five in the front court. I certainly don't think giving when you're going to have to pay bridges, you already paid OG, you just paid Jalen, and even though it's not the five for 270, four for 160,

still significant. All those guys, yeah, I wouldn't give Julius Randall a max extension, that's for sure. USA basketball beat Australia. I don't, I think it's kind of ridiculous that Jaylen Brown's not on the team, but I do think after your top six players historically, Olympic teams get very political. I think Nike has injected itself here with Kyrie and Jalen. And what do you make of the overall rotation of this team and what we should expect? Well, I think, listen, right before we went on vacation on first things first, I gave what my starting five would be, Steph, Ant, LeBron, Tatum, and Joel Embed, and Steve Kerr, obvious longtime fan of first things first, went with that exact starting five,

so I think they're off to a good start. So here is what's tricky. There is a strong argument to be made, Colin, that for the 12-man roster, have eight stars and then four glue guys. Guys who won't care if they don't play, won't care if they don't get shots, are out there for one specific thing, whether it be their defense or their rebounding or their free-throw shoot, whatever, you know, guys like Derek White, who are just happy to be there. There is an argument that that makes sense because why have Devin Booker and he's an excellent player, but as your 10th man, when he might not be happy as the 10th man and he's kind of redundant. My biggest issue with Jalen Brown being excluded is they clearly didn't go with that game plan. They went stars across the board, and I think they made a mistake initially in picking Kauai over. Jaylen because Jalen is better than Kauai at this point and then they

doubled down on that mistake by not replacing Kauai with Jailen Jalen. Jalen seems adamant that it's a Nike thing at this point he seems to have a strong case that Nike you know had a real influence on it ultimately it won't matter because I know folks try to create a scenario where the US is vulnerable the United States is not vulnerable in this Olympic since They lost the one Olympics they've lost since the pros. They have lost one game total. It was in the qualifying round.

It didn't even matter. They win by an average of 12 plus points. And there is not a single team in this tournament that has two players that would make our team. They have, listen, Shea on Canada, Yokic on Serbia, Janus on Greece, we know. But the second best guy on all those teams would not make this roster. So I'm not worried about the U.S. at all because they were up 24 in the second half against Australia, let their foot off the gas in a game that was a warm-up game. Finally, I'm viewed as very overly critical on Aaron Rogers, though I don't think I am.

J-Mack is viewed as two pro-jets. You land in the middle. I have said that I think the jet season will just come down to the offensive line. I think for old quarterbacks, Russell's an advantage of how he didn't have one, and struggled. Brady and Stafford had one. Kirk Cousins, Atlanta has one. I think all three will flourish. Two already have. I don't think it's a great O line. I think it's overvalued by the PFF

and all those kind of sites. What do you expect this year? I think it's a very 9-8 team, and I think the online... Yes, of course. That's correct. It's an 8 or 9-win team. And everyone's going to try to sell you this bill of goods of, oh my God, but they won seven games with that quarterback play last year. That's the argument that we heard a year ago, by the way, when they won seven games with the quarterback play before Aaron got there, then they won seven games again.

And then when you actually look at the games they won, over the last two years, they have four quality victories over actual NFL starting quarterbacks. Everyone else is either a rookie quarterback or a backup quarterback or the quarterback was injured in the game. And as far as Aaron goes, I need someone to cogently explain to me why he will be better than his last year in Green Bay. Thank you.

And the only argument anyone can make is, oh, he cares again. Like what? Like that you're really, that's the argument. Oh, he had chip on his shoulder now. Meanwhile, his last year in Green Bay, he what, was mailing it in? What about the final game of that year? The final game of the NFL season in Lambo against a divisional rival win and go to the playoffs. Wasn't motivated that night?

After the game, it seemed sad, walking off the field with Randall Cobb. Why would this Jets team get a better Aaron Rogers than that Packers team did? remove the Achilles. Let's pretend it didn't happen. Do they have a better coach? No, the Packers have a great offensive mind in Matt LaFleur. The Packers have Bob Sala and an offensive coordinator they tried to replace in the offseason, but they couldn't competently do it. Oh, it's all these amazing weapons. I mean, Garrett Wilson's awesome. Breeze Hall is a good to very good player who last year, even though the Jets tried to game the system in the final game of the year and give him 40 touches, so he get to 1,000 yards.

The coaching staff couldn't even do the math properly, and he finished at 9-92 when the whole game was to get him to 1,000. Like, the Jets don't have elite weapons. They have one great receiver. They don't have an elite offensive line. They just don't have a disaster at the offensive line anymore. And they don't have an elite quarterback. A quarterback who at age 38 was league average across the board,

had the worst season that he'd had in 12 years, and then tears his Achilles does not all of a sudden get awesome. He might get back to that level, and that level is not good enough. So, no, that's a very simple, obvious point. And I understand that the Jets have a lot of fans, which is remarkable because they've been one of the least competent organizations for 50 years across sports. And I think this year probably continues that.

No, it's, I mean, now the Yankees are struggling. Mets, Jets, Giants, you know, it's a net. I mean, it's about to be in Nick's town here, bro. I think the Yankees can turn it around, but the Knicks got the juice right now. There's no doubt about it. Nick Wright, good seeing you, buddy, as always. Appreciate it. See you.

Debo Samuel, a few years ago, requested a trade, and he got an extension. So sometimes, you know, young receivers, young players, they scrub their social media. They don't hear what they want. They did draft two receivers. I think you can get a first round pick for them. I think there's three or four teams. I mean, look at the Chargers. Chargers do not have a number one wide receiver. Can you make it work? Can you move somebody? I think it, you know, the Chargers have two end rushers. in, you know, they've got

Abosa and Kaleo Mack. Could you give one of those up and, and, you know, get some other help? I think there are teams that could immediately use them. Justin Herbert's a big strong-armed kid. I think you could ship him to the Chargers and the AFC.

You could send another edge rusher to the Niners. You know they love edge rushers. Just a thought. J. Mack, with the news. No, no, no, no. Turn on the news. This is the heard line news. So let's start there with the Brandon Ayuk saga.

It's been a nightmare all offseason with this guy. He's now officially requested a trade. And I know you referenced the Debo-Samuel situation, which makes total sense. Someone broke down what happened with Debo when he requested his trade. He did it early in the off-season. So by the time you got to camp, the vibe wasn't super negative and they worked out a deal. Ayuk is now requesting this a week before camp, and it's been like an off-season of noise and negativity.

And it's like, uh-oh, well, okay, you requested a trade. So what? We don't have to do anything. You're under contract. If you don't show up, we'll find you. That's what the CBA allows. So I'll just go on record. I think there's no way the 49ers trade IU.

No way. It makes no sense. I would like to see their young receivers in camp. Their first round receiver and their fourth round receiver. Remember Jennings and. Debo are excellent, Kiddles excellent, McCaffrey's a great receiving back. You have four guys that can do it.

If one of these two rookies can be a 60-catch guy, then, you know, my takeaway. Again, Iyuk is a very good down the field. He was first team all pro last year. He's an elite wide receiver. We're talking about a guy.

You take him off the Super Bowl favorites. And they're not the Super Bowl favorites anymore. He's that good. Time out. Tyree Kill left the Chiefs. They've won back-to-back Super Bowl. Well, they weren't favored to win the Super Bowl. And guess what? They didn't look good all season. They had a nice postseason run. Well, they had a good postseason run. Again, if you trust Brock Purdy, who's this elite talent, you can move off a receiver. But why would you move off a receiver when you don't have to? Because I have other issues that I need to solve.

Their offensive line, center guard, right tackles, not very good. But you're not solving that in July or August. No, you can. Get a trade, trade him, get a starting right tackle and a Third round pick. I don't know. Do they need an offensive line? Offensive line's fine. Offensive line isn't the reason they lost the Super Bowl. You know, I just, there's no point in moving off Ayup now.

Just keep them, find him. Hey, you're making 14 mil? I don't know what you want. Maybe you, I don't know if you could bump them up a little bit more. Is that even possible? But you trade them after the season. You know what they say in the NBA? When a big gets hurt early, they get hurt often.

Yeah. When a receiver is a malcontent early, they're a malcontent often. This is his personality. And that's fine. But guys that are vocal and vulnerable at wide receiver early in their career, that's their personality. And it centers in the NBA that get hurt at 23. I guarantee it 33, they're not the picture of health. You remember how Clay Thompson said he was, quote, miserable during this past season because he didn't get his deal?

He was making $43 million. Miserable. Well, Brennan, you can be miserable all you want. Show up and produce. Oh, by the way, if you don't, somebody going to want to give you that big fat contract that you want next offseason? Is some other team to say, oh, yeah, we'll pay him. Keep your eye on the Indianapolis Colts and the L.A. Chargers.

Well, that all makes sense. I think the Colts, obviously, with the quarterback on the rookie deal. What was the other team? Chargers. They've got two edge rushers. What they really need, the number one receiver. But you got to pay a yuc in a year. Well, you...

He wants like Tyree Kill money, man. I'm not doing that. I don't know. I think 49ers are in fine shape here. And, you know, like you said, they got Brock Purdy. It's all good. You know, one of the best quarterbacks in the league the last season. Since he took over as a starter.

All right. What, he's at 17 and 4 since taking over as a starter? Okay. Led the league in QBR. I mean, what more do you want? I love the spark. A trophy. All right.

Let's go on to Jaden Daniels, who will be under a lot of, lot of pressure after being taken second overall by the Washington Commanders. Love this team. Kevin Durant has now chined in on this. He's one of Washington's most famous fans, and in a recent TV appearance, he compared Jane Daniels to himself. He's like the KD of college football last year with his body type, you know? So you watch him on TV, it's easy to watch their team because of how he plays.

And so hopefully he brings that same type of, you know, enthuthor. To the game, you know, to Washington. You know, everybody's rallying around them. We feel like we got a player that can take us somewhere now. I felt like he pops off the screen, you know, when you turn on your TV, a guy that size that can move that well at that position. You know how I feel about Washington and Jade and Daniels? I think they're going to pop. I think they're a playoff team.

How do you feel about Kevin Durant comparing someone to himself? Well, Karen, Kevin Durant was spindly. You remember he couldn't bench 185, and he was really thin. But he kind of, he's always going to be a thin player, but that was kind of the thing about him. People, durability. There wasn't a lot of questions. Everybody knew KD was going to be a good score in the NBA. But Jaden Daniels is really good.

So I watched them in Arizona State for a couple years. Nobody else, you know, how many people were watching Arizona State football? Yeah. But I love Herm, no Herm, and I watch Pac-12 football, and I thought he was really, really good. And he's put on a little weight. He got better players around. him, Brian Kelly, I don't know, I just, I see Lamar Jackson. That's what I see Lamar Jackson, but at his age, better in the pocket. Not quite as fast as Lamar, but fast.

If you look closely at those highlights, he's carving up some real horse manure teams in the SEC. Oh, give me a break. He's just stat patting against the Vanderbiltz of the world. I mean, you could put up 250 against Vandy. I think the SEC's middle teams are better than everybody else's. No, I'm saying against the bottom feeders and then against the Morgan States of the world. The difference has bottom feeders. Yeah, and that's what he put up his number? Well, you're not going to put up 400 yards against Georgia or Ohio State.

Well, wait a minute, wait a minute. Who was the quarterback who put up 400 yards against Ohio State the national semifinal? CJ Stroud. Thank you very much. C.J. Stroud did it against Georgia. C.J. Stroud was a, yeah. No, I mean, but C.J. Stroud is, again, by and large, baseball guys that hit 300 aren't getting their hits off the Aces and Arenola. They're getting their hits off the three, four, and five starters and relievers.

I mean, that's just the way that Tony Gwyn could hit number ones, but he lived off everybody else in the rotation. So nobody's eating off Mariano Rivera in his prime. Sorry. Diamondbacks had a good ending or two. Nobody's eating. All right. You like James and Washington got it.

A lot. Final story is the NBA. I think we've got to get this guy on the show again, Helen. Not Nicole Yokic, but Nicole Yokic and the Nuggets. could not get back to the finals. And George Carl, the former Nuggets coach, is blaming the Nuggets Front Office for everything that ails the team, losing Bruce Brown last year, losing KCP,

and now chasing Russell Westbrook. Here's George Carl. If you have one of the potential top 10 players ever on your team and you're not doing all you can to help win more championships, you might be messing with the basketball gods. Well, I do think it's an interesting time, so they lost Bruce Brown, a nice rotational piece. Then he lost KCP to Orlando.

KCP is a really valuable shot-making perimeter. I think he's beyond a glue guy. I think he's an elite wing defender. I do think you have to start looking, maybe one more year with this group, but do you have to move a Gordon or a porter to elevate? I do think George Carl's point is, you've got the best player in the league.

You can't keep losing guys in the off-season. You've got to start gaining something. You're right. I did have a Nuggets fan reach out to me and say, I know you guys are calling KCP all this awesome stuff. Go look at the series against Anthony Edwards. KCP could not hold, I mean, he couldn't come close to stop. Well, Aunt Edwards is also the most dynamic young player in the sport.

Guess what? He ain't going anywhere in the West. Like if you can't stop Anthony Edwards, like that's like one of the primary guys. He couldn't guard Kyrie Irving. That's like saying, yeah, you couldn't stop Mahomes. Try to stay in front of Anthony Edwards with no hand check. He can't. Do you see Aunt the other day against Australia?

Come on, man. He might be the best guy. Those guys look like high scovers. He was just flying all over the floor. I know. But if KCP's calling card is the elite defensive wing, and you're getting carved up by Ann Edwards, I mean, maybe it's not as big of a lot.

A lot of good players got carved up by MJ and Kobe. A lot. So anyway, George Carl's ornery, and he loves these hot takes. I don't think it's that hot of a take. Really? Yeah, I think you're good. I think Denver gets one more run with this group. But if next year you look up and OKC knocks you out and Boston's better and here comes Philadelphia,

I think you have to say, listen, Yoke's just Dan, Murray, if he's healthy as Stan, we may have to move the deck chairs a little. I think you run this team back. Absolutely. The staff, it's a very well-run organization now. But I do think you've got to keep evolving on these teams. I mean, good God, Boston was getting to the finals. They went out and got Drew Holiday and they got Porzing. By the way, they won the title.

They brought, I think, all their top nine guys are back. Every single player's back. Well, they shouldn't make moves. They should retain their players. But I think everybody, I mean, the Knicks now are better. Nicks are way better. OKC got Alex Caruso and Hartonstein, so they're better. I think Minnesota, I'm just telling you, I know people aren't really talking about them.

I love their draft free agency was eh. But I think Minnesota could be the sneaky team for me to come out of the West. Well, it's not that sneaky. They got to the Western. Not really that sneaky if Buffalo gets to the conference championship in the AFC. Fair. Jay Mack with the news. Well, that's the news.

But the Colts that didn't have a great receiving course, suddenly Andrew Luck came to town with a bad old line and was throwing the ball down the field. He took more sacks. He threw more picks. And they were 11 and 5 with one of the weakest two rosters in the league. You go to the offensive coaches. By the way, McVeigh prefers Stafford over Gough.

Stafford is more reckless. That is a fact. Stafford is more reckless than Gough. He also takes bigger swings. Big Ben through picks. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady. Like, Brady historically had a pick six in a Super Bowl. doesn't throw a lot of picks.

But Tom had pick sixes in like Super Bowls and big playoff games. So the Caitlin Clark stuff is just, I mean, it's just ridiculous. She plays fast. She's hyper aggressive. I love everything about it. And the all-time leading turnover people in the NBA, it's the Curry Stockton's. Luke is going to be up there, LeBron. I'm okay with it.

By the way, Adam Schaefter reporting. Other teams have reached out already and spoken to the Niners, and the Niners have said they have no intention of trading receiver Brandon Ayuk. Brandon Iyuk is, I could see them moving them. I think they're pretty talented between Jennings and Debo and the two draft picks. You know, I think they got some talent. Also, McCaffrey and Kittle are excellent targets. Nick Wright earlier on the IUC trade request.

I think this will hurt Purdy a lot. I think that they, listen, what they, they've paid everyone. So you have to pick and choose your spots, but I think this will be very painful for them. But there's a lot of teams that could use Brandon Ayuk. The lions who still don't really have that wide receiver too and are clearly all in right now, that makes a lot of sense. You would have to think the Buffalo Bills who right now have a pretty naked wide receiver room. But Brandon Ayuk will get your first round pick.

and probably a little bit more. He's that type of player, and I imagine he's going to get traded. Niners saying no, he's not. We'll see. Absolutely no shot, Cowherd. I'll call it right now, none. And 49ers will win the Super Bowl this year. You can just lock that up.

I'm feeling good about that. Win the Super Bowl. How about you? What, you, Chiefs again? I'll tell you this. The Rams will win that division. Losing Eruddle, the defense is going to get better. right? Yeah.

The problem is I like Stafford. You know, we see him around town. I don't. I do. They're an easy team to root for. McVeigh's awesome. So likable. And they win. Well, not against an I heard. Got a Super Bowl ring. That's right. Yeah, they got a Super Bowl. Guys up north don't.
