This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.

Winning on Clay is an art.
The rallies are relentless.
And at the French Open, only the toughest survive.
I'd know.
I competed there for decades.
Join me, Renee Stubbs, on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast for no-nonsense breakdowns of the

Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports.
I'm Michelle McPhee, and I've been unraveling the strangest criminal alliance I've ever reported on.
A Mormon polygamist and an Armenian businessman.
Multi-million dollar house, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, a billion dollar fraud.
But how long can this alliance last?
Tell me what you know.
Is somebody coming after me?

Hey, what's good, y'all?
You're listening to Learn the Hardway with your favorite therapist and host Kear Games.
This space is about black men's experiences, having honest conversations that it's really not safe to have anywhere, but you're having them with a licensed professional who knows what he's doing.
How many men carry a suit or armor?
It signals to the world that you not to be played with.
And just because you have the capability that does not mean that you need to.

Seriously, congrats, man.
He had the best bracket in the Tractor Supply Fox Sports Radio Bracket Challenge.
Billy finished with an impressive 160, I'm sorry, 176 points.
barely beating two listeners by one point to take home the title.
Billy will win 25 Hyundai in gift cards from Tractor Supply.
Nice.
Billy.
And as far as the host go, Chris Plank finished first with 165,
followed by Plexigal Murs, which second place Tractor Supply knows about a winning season
and what it takes teamwork and it can do attitude.
Thankfully, when you got neighbors, ooh-wee, like Tractor Supply,
you could get things done for life out here,
our good friends at Tractor Supply.
Thanks again, Tractor Supply.
Congrats again to Billy Al and, of course,
to Florida Gators with the big win last night.
Now, not better, as we said in the first hour,
better to have gotten a shot off.
The fact that they couldn't get that final shot off is going to haunt them.
Gotta shoot your shot.
Gotta get that shot off.
Yeah, it's going to haunt you forever if you don't.
And again, I mean that in life and on the court.
Now, what's the difference between?
me and you, me and you. What's the difference
between cockiness and confidence?
Dan Orlovsky, again,
props to him
and his amazing son. His amazing
son. He said,
now this was yesterday, right? Because there's an update.
He says, we can't praise Baker
Mayfield and fall in love with Baker
Mayfield because of his charisma, cockiness, and
self-belief, and then kind of view it differently
with Shador. I do
agree with that. But
what I said before, I'll say it again. You have to
remember.
Baker Mayfield
sort of earned everybody's respect.
He graduated from cockiness to confidence
because when I think about the difference,
yeah, confidence comes with a smile.
Confidence also comes with your back by results.
Mayfield proved to everybody
that he was a bona fide NFL player
and he could ball.
But not only that, he was,
I think he bumped into the iron cheek.
Yeah, because he was humbled.
He won't.
You know, and I know what you mean by that, too, Rich.
And there's so many personal examples you could sort of tie in if you want.
I remember my uncle telling me, I was heartbroken, dude, heartbroken over a girl one time.
And then I think I got, like, fired from a job or whatever, but I was heartbroken over a girl.
Steve's no good, very bad day.
It was Steve Kavino's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, right?
Fired and dumped it.
And I remember like, why?
Oh, and you pet's head fell up, right?
She was the best thing that happened in my whole life.
and I remember my uncle saying to me, I went to my uncle for advice.
What should I do? How do I get her back?
And he's like, do you want to know something?
Let me be honest with you.
He's like, I like you better this way.
I'm like, why?
He's like, because you're humble now.
You've been humbled for the first time.
Because you know what I thought?
Nothing could stop this guy.
I was arrogant and I was cocky and I was backed by nothing and no results.
It was just in my own head and my own belief.
So that's the difference between cockiness and confidence.
The humility.
again, the results.
Yeah, Shadur Sanders is great,
but he still has a lot to prove.
And that's fine.
I'm sure he will.
But I think we need to remember
that we didn't all love Baker Mayfield.
No, he was out.
After all the humility, the humbleness.
And again, proving that he could play in the NFL,
not saying that I'm not rooting for Shador.
I'm a big Dion Sanders fan.
Absolutely rooting for the kid.
But as Orlovsky said, again, today, now here's the update.
He might be one of the hardest QBs that he ever had to rate.
And I understand that based on his-
quarterback to evaluate.
Based on his assessment, and it's because the offensive line stunk.
So.
But he's saying he has elite field vision and everything else.
Yeah.
And also a lot of his throws.
Five yards.
Yeah, right off the line of scrimmage.
Because with a bad old line, this guy was making quick decisions.
You don't really have a lot of looks at Chidor.
But to rep up what you're saying about Baker,
Baker was tested and we saw Baker fail a little bit and fall.
And like you getting dumped and losing your job, old Steve Kavina?
Yeah.
You were humbled.
Humility kicks in.
And I think we got to see Baker, you know, laying on his back.
Yeah, humanizes you.
Humanizes you.
People relate to you more.
And I think we don't view Baker-Mayfield that way anymore because of all that.
So that's the difference.
And like you said,
which before.
Confidence comes with a smile.
Cockiness, you're just tooting your own horn the whole time.
You haven't really proven it to anyone.
There's hosts like that here on our network, ESPN, CBS, Fox,
you name it.
There's people that you look at me like,
why are you taking yourself so serious?
Like the ability to laugh at yourself,
I always say that when it comes to dating as well.
What makes a guy cocky or confident with women?
A confident guy is sure of himself,
but he's also okay being voting.
vulnerable in front of the woman, acting silly, you know, being the butt of the joke if he does
something, you know, goofy, that's confidence. A cocky guy is a guy that if someone even
chuckles or laughs at him, he's like, what are you laughing to me for? It's just really
insecurity is what it boils down to. It's insecurity and it's put offish. And I think that,
again, and there's a fine line of arrogance too, right? So yeah, there's the difference between
cockiness and confidence is a thin line, but there's a significant line there. And I'm not wishing
this for him. But let's say Shador goes.
the NFL, right?
Yeah, dude, we wish nothing but the greatest success for him.
And he follows a Baker blueprint in that, let's say he ends up, I'm just picking
a team, the Giants.
I know they seem stacked in the QB room right now, but let's say he did go there, and he had
a really rough go at it.
And the media was rough on him, and it was like, man, Shador stinks.
And then he got a chance on a second team, and he lit it up.
We'd all be like, there he is.
Like, it's almost like.
Think about his dad, right?
His dad might be the cockiest guy that ever wore it.
His dad during the draft told teams, I'm not going to look at your playbook.
When's your draft pick?
Yeah, but I'll be gone by that.
Dude, I remember watching the Yankees when a young Dion Sanders, neon Dion Sanders, before he was primetime Dion Sanders.
Neon Dionne would get in the batters box and draw a dollar sign in the batters box,
and he was the most flashy dude with jerry curl, right?
But again, he eventually backed that up with results when you realize like, oh, you know,
he's not necessarily cocky.
He's confident and he proves it.
you know, his son is cut from the same cloth.
Will he prove it?
Absolutely.
I think he will.
But I think that's the difference.
That's the difference.
To me, confidence is unspoken.
It doesn't need to be explained.
Like you don't tell people, oh, I'm confident.
Yeah, the results.
Very similar to when you see very wealthy people, like these billionaires.
Like, remember there was a joke.
I know y'all hate him now, but like where we saw Elon Musk's kitchen.
And it was like that old dated 90s wood.
Yes.
Or like how sometimes you see like the CEO of Apple and he's out and he's just wearing like polos and a, you know, khakis in a polo.
And like they're not flashy at all because they don't have to be.
You don't have to prove it.
Because they know underneath they're sitting on near a trillion dollars.
Similar with confidence of cockiness.
Like you don't need to say I'm confident.
You don't need to prove your confident.
You don't need to act confident.
You just are confident.
And you know what people pick up on that though.
That's the thing.
And I think that's what cocky people don't understand is everyone else sees it.
Like, dude, you're full of hot air.
I do want to point out that we can't discount what a cool characteristic it is for a Shador Sanders to be so confident.
Yeah, because he proved.
Because he proved that in every stage of his life.
He said that wherever I go, I will change the culture.
Some people have looked at that and say, who do you think you are?
And then other people are like, I am.
Other people are like, you know, it's hard not to almost admire that level of confidence.
Dude, you know what, though?
He's saying wherever I go, I will bring a winning culture.
And he's a kid.
And if he does that, then he's proven and he's awesome
and we root him on moving forward.
So again, why aren't we treating Shador Sanders' confidence
the same way we treated Baker Mayfield?
Baker Mayfield was hated on the beginning.
Yeah.
So I think
I'm actually very curious way this guy lands.
By the way, I'm not even saying me.
That's sort of the perception, I would say.
If you follow social media or what people are saying on TV
or what you sort of get from him,
it's he's hard to evaluate because he does have an insane level of cockiness
or confidence however you want to look at.
Yeah. And it's hard to tell with these teams what's real,
what's a smokescreen, what they're lying about,
who they're really looking at.
and DB reported earlier that he's going to take a meeting with the Steelers
for one of their top 30 meetings.
Now they pick 21.
So if he slides all the way down to 21,
and does that humble you or does that put a fire under you?
And you're like one of the two quarterbacks we know so well who said,
oh, those other teams made a mistake.
I'm going to show them.
You know, I do love that thought.
Like, you know, it could light a fire.
But let me ask you this.
Do you remember it was on the prime time 30 for 30.
maybe you, Dan Byer, Ivers Sam will remember.
Dionne Sanders told a team when he was, when, you know,
primetime was getting drafted, a team almost offered the playbook and he's like,
when's your draft pick? And he declined because he's like, nah, I'll, like, keep your playbook.
I won't be on the board by then. And I remember people at that time were like,
how cocky could you be? And, you know, let's be honest. If you're Dion Sanders and it's,
you know, 30 years ago, you think you're going to, if you, if you, if you, if you, if,
you got a late round pick you think
you're going to, Dion's still going to be on the board?
I love that. I love that cockiness.
Yeah. In that regard. But when you back it
up by results, man. It's not cockyness. All right.
So that's our take on it.
And again, good luck to him.
And I hope the thing, I hope is meeting with
the Steelers. I almost said pirates.
Steelers goes well. No, if he was like that, he
could play bowl. Yeah. If he was as good as
Dion, he could. You know, and
that's something, well, you know, Otani's the
closest thing playing on both sides of the ball.
I was talking about that with some buddies last night.
Well, he's the definition of the difference between cockiness and confidence.
Shoah Otani, who's smiling bigger than that guy?
Who's having more fun than him?
Is he telling anyone I'm the best?
No, because he's riding straight up on confidence backed by results.
Shohei Otani.
Oh, I'm sorry.
Otani.
Shohay Otani.
Otani.
I was talking to some buddies last night.
I don't know if you've been seeing some of the clips.
We all see the same social media clips a lot of times.
like James Winston playing baseball in college at Florida State
and throwing the ball from the warning track to home plate.
Yeah, it's a famous clip.
Like a 100 mile an hour bullet.
And you do realize that a lot of these guys just have so,
they could have played a lot of different sports,
but we're just never going to see a Bo Jackson or prime time again like that.
And you know what?
As we get ready for a little last one standing,
which is my favorite game we play here on Fox Sports Radio.
Get involved.
87799 on Fox.
87799 on Fox.
We're going to play that next.
I saw a stat that Danny G. hit us up with.
And we talked the other day
about just how tight the NBA playoff brackets are.
We said tighter than your jeans in the early 2000s.
You did say that.
Rich used to wear ballerina pants.
We were saying how more so than ever,
It's like the difference between the three seed and the six seed.
Like there's a lot of seeding still yet to be done.
And it's proven by the fact that there was a chart, Danny showed us,
that 19 of the 20 seeds aren't even locked in yet.
Other than OKC at number one,
every other seed from 1 to 10 in the Western Conference
and 1 to 10 in the Eastern Conference,
of those 19 of the 20 have not been clinched in an order yet,
Meaning depending on how the teams doing the final games of the season,
because they're all within one or two games, it's wild.
Yeah, if the calves beat the Bulls tonight,
then they'll lock in the number one seed for the east.
Okay.
But as of right now, as we're speaking live on national radio,
there are so many seeds still sitting there where we don't know what team is going to be where.
And there's only a couple of games separating so many teams,
especially in the West.
Two games separate six teams right now.
Yeah, that's insane.
And that will affect home court.
That'll affect who you play.
Like there's going to be people maybe positioning like,
oh, maybe we don't want to play that team first.
So much at stake in the final week.
And then starting a week from today, I believe, is the playing games where we, you know,
see 7, 8, 9, 10 go at it.
So NBA playoffs, we always talk about, oh, it just turns up a notch.
So that's one week from today.
We get the NBA.
Is that why the Nuggets fired the coach or what?
And then you heard it.
Because it's so tight.
If they're fourth in the West, 47 and 32, and they won last year.
Two seasons ago.
I'm sorry, two seasons ago now.
Two seasons ago.
Times flying, Stevie.
It's still proven, though.
It's kind of shaky and kind of interesting to think that they fired their coach NGM today.
47 and 32, however, they lost four in a row.
The Nuggets lost four in a row and they're three and seven in their last 10.
is that really the reason why you're a championship winning coach you know it's just two years ago so
you think this is this has to be more than just a four game losing streak this is something that
went wrong in the locker room the leadership of the team uh from the top down to the locker
and there's something going on here that we're not hearing that's really what's stirring the
coolate here the fact that they're three and seven in their last 10 and lost four in row or is there
something else bigger going on behind the scenes.
You know, there's something bigger, and you got to connect the dots on that.
And by the way, Celtics fans very upset.
You forgot that won last year.
Well, you just forgot the Celtics.
It was a pretty forgettable.
That's okay.
It was a forgettable.
Danny G pounced that.
I mean, yeah.
No, but I was thinking like, that was, remember it was Celtics beating the maps?
How could you forget Jason Tatum's celebration?
It was kind of forgettable.
Tatum was all emotional.
But remember Tatum and, you know, did we want to Dallas to put up a
better fight, the Mavericks sort of got shut down pretty easy. But yeah, Celtics,
we don't think we disrespected you. I'll compare it to relationships because that's sort of
what we do here on Cavanon-Ritch. And I think we've all seen this with ourselves, a friend,
or family member. You could be dating someone. And it might be a little different with Mike Malone
because they did win a couple years ago. But you ever find yourself in a position where you're
like, yeah, like, there's nothing fundamentally wrong, meaning like we could exist together,
we get along, we live together. It's all good.
I'm just not in love.
And I just don't think this is what's going to take us to the next level.
And when, as they clip the damn buyer played, when everything is really just based on winning,
maybe the nuggets deep down inside and ownership thinks, you know, we're thankful we won one.
It was carried by the Joker.
Coach is good.
He brought the heap.
Right now, you're thinking to yourself, maybe this, maybe they look at the field and they say,
we're missing something.
And I don't know how you do that with four games left.
That was my point, though.
Four games left?
You did it two years ago.
And you guys liked Malone.
Remember at the parade?
Yeah.
You liked what he was talking about there.
And he had said something about being the Lakers daddy and all that.
Yeah, he was getting a little feisty.
He's appeared on our show a few times because of what he says on microphones.
He was definitely a fiery guy.
But that's why it proves that there has to be something that we don't know that more info to come.
He's a good coach.
And already on Twitter, I saw some NBA analysts saying keep an eye on him to possibly be Coach Pop's successor in San Antonio.
He'll definitely land somewhere for sure.
But this is something where personalities are butted heads.
Yeah, exactly, with ownership.
Because, Rich, I like your analogy.
Like, he's just not the one, right?
I'm not in love with him.
But he was two years ago.
But he was two years ago.
So he's not now?
It's tough to.
It says, DB, I got to ask me.
I guess I'm sure you're keeping an eye on this story all day.
Has it been any hints other than like maybe the Fitch just not right anymore?
I know that's very generic, right?
Yeah, actually there's a lot because Josh Cronkey,
the vice chair of Cronkey Sports Entertainment,
spoke about an hour ago.
We played a little off the top of the hour and then in the show earlier.
But he said a few things.
This, well, there's Josh Cronkey.
This wasn't a decision that was taken lightly or taken as in a reactionary fashion
to anything specific.
You know, having observed that group over a period of time, there were certain trends that were very worrisome to me at different points in time.
But they would get masked by a few wins here and there.
And, you know, in the world of professional sports, when winning and losing is your currency, you know, winning can mask a lot of things.
So he said that, and then he went to this when he gave specific numbers.
We went on an eight game win streak right before the All-Star break.
you know but since then i think we're 11 and 13 um we've lost our last four and we're trending
towards a direction that i thought would probably be a very near end to our season in the near
future okay so i i get the sense of that of that they think come the playoffs right now with malone
in charge they weren't going to stack up against the lakers okayc golden state where they're at and
yeah but you're going to shake it up right now and all of a sudden but i like the
I'm going to stop you both of you.
Because here's the Trump card.
This is where I think people will be like, oh, okay.
We were going to be changing these roles at the end of the season.
From that point forward, I think that, you know, I became comfortable with the thinking of,
you know, let's try to shake this tree and squeeze as much out of this as we can.
So they had made the decision to already move on from both of those guys before the season even completed.
And to their point, well, if we're going to do this anyway and now we're on a four-game skid,
why not just cut bait now and see if we can make anything of it if they were already going to do that.
Now, now here's interesting. Here's an interesting thought. With very few games left in the regular season as you head into the postseason, if you got, I mean, when you have the Joker and you have that team, it's not like you're, you're, you know, wishing upon a star. Like, they could go on a run with the quality of talent they have on that team. So what have you got, you know, the interim in there and they did get hot? So it's not a crazy idea.
Because if you thought, as he said, worrisome trends and currency is winning, it's not a crazy idea when you think about it in that way.
Not at all.
And not to draw parallels, but there's two parallels to the city of Milwaukee.
And I brought this up with you guys when Taylor Jenkins was fired in Memphis.
When the Brewers fired in 2008, Ned Yost with two weeks remaining because they were battling the Mets for the wild card.
They canned Ned Yose because if they didn't make the playoffs, they weren't going to keep them the next.
next year brought in Dale Swain, who moved over and took over as the interim manager.
They ended up holding on, got to the playoffs for the first time in 26 years, and it worked
out for them in that case. But Ned Yost was likely going to be gone anyway. I use the Bucks
as the example of now you've got Yokic and you just can't waste it. Just like the Bucks have kind
of done with Yonah since they won four years ago. I haven't done anything in that time. And I think
that the Nuggets are now starting to feel that crunch of we have to get more out of
maybe this generational player that we've only won one championship with.
That's a great point, DB.
That's a great point.
And you know what?
Your thoughts, if you want to chime in on the nuggets, making changes,
and also if you want to play our game.
And by the way, Dan Byer said Dale Swam.
He means Dale Svium.
Everybody remembers the card to Dale Svium when you got him, right?
Of course.
I remember that baseball card.
Everybody remembers Dale Swim.
We're going to give away a swiggy.
We're going to give away some prizes.

we do that right now.
Last one standing.
You have five seconds to battle for your sports trivia life.
Man.
Oh.
I got it.
Put your electronic devices down and pick your sports knowledge.
It's CNR's last one.
The last one standing.
All right, I have four categories ready to go.
If needed, a tiebreaker.
Each contestant gets five seconds to stay alive in the round.
If you run out of time or you answer incorrectly, Iowa Sam will take you out with his big, bad buzzer.
We keep battling until you are the last one standing.
If you win two of the rounds, you're the top dog.
Here are the contestants, six-time winner, Steve Covino.
You sure is that seven.
It's six.
I don't know, my man.
You know Brady.
I have a chart in my computer.
And in there, the leader, Dan Byer, 26-time winner.
Hello.
This guy is unstoppable.
Trying to catch up to him 10-time winner, Rich Davis.
That's me.
And we're going to go to the studio lines right now to see who's playing for a CNR stainless steel swiggy.
DB, use you for this.
Would you love to travel to beautiful Carson City, Nevada, Las Vegas, Nevada, Lacey, Washington, or San Antonio, Texas.
Let's go to the home of the final four.
Let's go to Texas.
All right.

They got big women there.
Charles Barkley confirmed that a second time last night.
Yeah, that feud is going to go forever.
It wouldn't be the safety.
We're thin.
Rich, what's up?
What's up, guys?
Hey.
What do you do for living there in San Antonio?
I'm a contractor.
A lot of work these days.
A lot of work these days.
Let's go.
What's up, buddy?
Yes, sir.
All right.
And by the way, Spot is the fact checker during this game.
A lot of anxiety.
So stressful.
When I say your name, the clock is going to begin.
Here is the first category.
It's called 12 with at least six.
You have five seconds to name one of the MLB teams who already has six or more wins this season.
All right.
And Covino, you're going to be up first as soon as the clock goes.
Now.
Let's go with the Dodgers and get them out of the way.

One of the most valuable sports teams.
We'll take the top 20 from Forbes.

Wow. The ones left were the Broncos at 20.
Bucks at 19. Cowboys. No one said at 12.
Dolphins at 13. And Pat's at number four.
No one said Pat. I thought Dan Byers said pets.
No, he didn't. No. Son of a biscuit.
That's it. You're thinking backwards and you're trying to fill in the blanks.
It's a challenging game. Great job.
Barrier.
Byer with his 27th victory.
You like the Yankees, dude.
One more, you beat the Yankees.
Stressful, man.
And Rich in San Antonio, thank you for playing the game.
It's up to DB whether or not he wants to mail that off to Texas or not.
100%.
All right.
Give a way.
Give it away now.
So, Rich, we're going to still send you a Swiggy, even though you stunk at the game.
Thanks.
I love your show.
Thank you.
We're going to label it.
We're going to label your Swiggy.
Participation, Swiggy.
Hey, thank you, man. Have a great one.
Let's go to DB for an update.
Damn Byer, what's doing?
Man, that was interesting because it wasn't just non-playoff teams.
There were a couple, you know, the Broncos made it right at that cutoff line.
So anyway, speaking of Denver, the Nuggets making the news today as they fired head coach Mike Malone and general manager Calvin Booth.
Josh Cronkey, who's the vice chair of Cronkey Sports Entertainment, the group that owns the Denver
Nuggets had this to say about the changes.
We went on an eight game win streak right before the All-Star break, you know, but since then,
I think we're 11 and 13.
We've lost our last four, and we're trending towards a direction that I thought would
probably be a very near end to our season in the near future.
To Cronkies point, they're in the fourth spot in the West, but just a half game separates
them, and the eighth spot in the West with those final three games, a remaining
nuggets letting go, Michael Malone, who's their all-time winning.
as head coach and Calvin Booth also out as general manager.
Florida finished number one in the final AP top 25,
men's college hoops pole of the season.
Houston finished second,
followed by Duke at three,
Auburn, four, Tennessee at five.
Multiple reports station or Sanders.
We'll have a top 30 visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers coming up on Thursday.
Guys, we've got a scoreless game in Cleveland,
bottom of the ninth inning between the White Sox and Guardians.
However, Cleveland's got the bases loaded with no one out.
And it looks like it just has ended.
Maybe not. Foul ball. Foul ball.
Oh, bottom of the night.
We thought he was had a walk off grand slam.
Just real close. Real close.
The Riches Mets lead the Marlins 9-5 and the 7th.
Could have been much more. Mets had bases loaded, but a diving catch by a Marlins outfield.
It was an amazing catch.
It really was.
The would have put three home, maybe even four if he doesn't catch it.
No joke.
All the way around.
But the Mets still hold a 9-5 lead.
Kavinos, Yankees fell to the Tigers today, 5-0.
Some sad news.
pass along. Former MLB closer
Octavio Dotel died on his way
to the hospital after he was pulled from the rubble
following the collapse of a nightclub
ceiling in the Dominican Republic. Dotel
was 51 years
old. Rory McElroy T's
the first round of the Masters Thursday at 112
Eastern Time champion
defending champion, Scotty Sheffler at 1015
Eastern time Thursday morning
and the Guardians did walk it off one nothing
win over the White Sox. Guys, back to you.
Thank you. With a walk-off
walk. A walk-off walk. The grand
slam would have been more fun.
The Guardians win.
Wait a second.
Good eye.
How many wins do they have?
Maybe I was right in last one's standing.
It doesn't count.
I don't know.
Doesn't go.
Well, anyway, rest in peace.
Octavio Shh.
Dotel.
One of the coolest nicknames ever.
One of the coolest nicknames and horrible footage.
If you guys haven't seen it, it's out there.
The roof collapsing at that nightclub and he was part of it.
He was one of last I saw like 18 people died.
Yeah.
Yeah.
A bad story.
Hey, Covino.
That's the Guardian's fourth one.
Oh, man.
Really? Wow. Guardian's not getting off to a great start. But hey, nice win. We got more Kavino and Richel NBA, playoffs a week away. And of course, any football news will keep an eye on more. C&R. next right here on Fox Sports Radio.

I just ordered another pair.

Oh, congrats again to the Florida Gators.
And congrats to Rich for, again, crying for the 10th consecutive year when this song is played.
Wait, hear it when he hits a high note.
Yeah.
That's what I played for you.
I wanted to.
That was the moment of the song, the one shining moment.
Moment.
It would be 20 consecutive years, but one year he missed it.
Yeah, during COVID.
Yeah.
So there you have it.
Congrats again and props to Luther.
We're Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio, Iowa, Sam on the ones and twos.

Not only is Danny G. Super producing.
Yeah.
He keeps staring at the photo of Gino Smith at the Raiders facility,
staring at the picture of John Madden, like he's all inspired.
Oh, that's a pretty cool photo.
Gino Smith went to Tom Brady's house.
So, Kvino even said Gino Smith looks cooler as a raider.
He does. He does.
It's even more weird because we're staring at Danny,
staring at Gino, staring at Madden.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's kind of wild.
Yeah, who's Madden staring at in that photo?
Again, we're live from the Tyraq.com studio.

Sometimes.
Hey, Fox Sports Radio, Kavino, and Rich, lock and load.
Now, we're watching the Pirates Cardinals game.
in the background here. Bottom of the first inning, scoreless.
Just watching Skeen's deal on the first inning, that guy's stuff is electric.
As Kavino pointed out, his personality might not be, but his stuff's electric.
And I agree with Spot.
My wet sock has more personality than that guy.
Was it you or Spock, Camino, that said, you know, he just looks way cooler with a beard.
Oh, I did.
I mean, the mustache, I get it. People love the mustachio, but he looks just like a cooler
grown-up.
You know what it is? When you throw 110 miles per hour and Livy Dunn is by your side, you
don't need a personality. You just need a fastball.
And a little scruff. And a sweet
cutter, too. How about... I mean, you see you're talking about this.
Oh, yeah.
Don't put this back of my head, Sam.
Young guy, rewards. Please. It's pretty catchy.
He looks older and better with the beard. But my goodness.
I know baseball isn't a personality contest.
But if it was, he'd be in the last place.
Well, if winning a Saut Young matter, which it does, my vote's still on him.
all that matters. I just watched him.
I mean, I know the Cardinals aren't the most dynamic
lineup, but he just, like,
fastball, curveball, fastball,
strikeout, weak ground ball,
fastball, curfly, he's dealing.
He's dominant. Like, when you see
a true ace, which we talked about,
there's not a ton, recently
in Major League Baseball, a ton of
stars, but there's not
a ton of aces, Zach Wheeler,
you know, there's a few,
Scoob Bowl who shut down your Yanks today.
There's a few. But for the
the most part, you're not seeing the a
aces like we did in other generations. It's a hitter's
game right now, but
that's what makes Paul Scheen stand out more
to me. With the torpedo bats. I know
conversation has slowed down a little bit on that.
That's an old story now. It is helping, yeah.
You know, you're giving a little bit of an advantage
to the batters. So
again, enjoy your baseball.
Thank you guys for hanging out with us today.
I want to remind you about tomorrow.
Tomorrow's the hump day already.
We're going to turn your hump day into a hump night. We do that
with midweek major. The biggest story
in the world of sports and pop culture.
Are they mid-week or major?
We do it every Wednesday.
That's a lot of pressure on me.
Yeah, I know.
It turned your hump day into a hub night.
You've been to freaking delivered tomorrow.
But yeah, you know what?
A couple things we made out of got to today.
What will you always get to it the next day?
A lot of fun.
And, of course, baseball, not only is baseball in full effect.
And we're enjoying that.
One week from today, the play-in game starts.
So we got one week left of the NBA season, then the playoffs.
So let's get ready.
We'll see you guys later.
Until then.
Arriban d'iartee, baby.
We will see you.
in the Promise Land.
Goodbye.
Have a great night, guys.
Goodbye.
