Now you realize why your grandmom's house smelled like moth balls, man. I got out. It's funny. fun of games. You smell mothballs. Hey, Grandma, why? Hey, Nana. Why does it smell like mothballs in here? I got a hole in my sweater, Brady. Dang. Damn. Shooted it up.

I don't know. I think it is a moth. Moss hog. Moth? No. Oh, dang. Came back from the dead. Yeah, no, he can't reach that far. Dang. Yeah, just a... It either looks like moths were nibbling on it or maybe it was in a place where a rodent could get to it.

No, I think it was a moss. I think it was a moss. I think it might be. Yeah. It's crazy, how a moth can just chew through your clothes. Wow, man. A moth? You really think it was a moth. It's possible. Your grandma didn't have moth balls in her closet and stuff?

She did. You remember the whole cedar closet thing? Yeah, cedar closets? Yeah. Here's the thing is, I don't think moths want to eat whatever the hell is in our clothes anymore. Like you read about the stuff. Now, these forever plastics and stuff.

Like even the moths know they should be eating that around them. Jeez. Hey, this is unhealthy. I'm just being honest. They have a one sniff of that. I noticed I got a hole in my sweater and LeVargoes.

Well, that's what happens when we wear the same clothes for 10 years in a row. That was probably more accurate. You got to think, too, like moths in our constant state of fight or flight, right? Like, they're either going to do something

that helps them survive or do something that helps them die. I would think they'd be a good indication of, yeah, we don't eat those clothes anymore. So we shouldn't do it. We shouldn't wear them. Yeah. Probably not.

But how do we know to do the moth challenge? How you get the test? Like, do you let some moths go in your closet and see what happens? Do what they're eating on? Dang. See if they try to get rid of them. Just turn the lights back on. Yeah.

Good call. Dang. The moth challenge. Just light the whole place on fire too. I say we should go to one of our siblings houses and do that. Yeah. Like that just a whole lot of, no, I don't want them in mine. Maybe one of the kids' rooms.

By the way, you know, mothman prophecies? I believe that took place in West Virginia. I'm not saying that's a prelude. I'm not saying there's a prelude. I did see that movie. That freaked me out of it. Yeah, it was a good movie. What is this?

Was it good? Offman prophecies. It's supposedly a real story. The bridge, all that stuff. Don't tell me that. You see that red light. Yeah. It's supposedly a real story.

I'm wondering whether or not Penn State will see that red light this Saturday. That's what I'm wondering. Uh-oh. I'm trying to get them fired up. I have to wait and see me. Trying to get them all fired up. You know.

I got faith in my mob. What about you? Who's your mob? Who you mobbing with Hawaii? Okay. One and O after that big win over Delaware State. Yeah, that was an awful. I mean, first off, they almost lost that game.

What was the spread? 40 points or some ridiculous. Oh, yeah? Yeah. There you go. I mean, listen. That should have been one of your Knox's locks, but probably wasn't. No, it definitely wasn't.

Now, here's the other problem with that, too. Like, it's week zero. I get it. And Brady, you would know more about this being a TV star in the face of big noon kickoff, as you point out all the time during our show. But like... Never. And you're a deep back.

Like if I want to watch Hawaii on Saturday night to wrap up a great week zero, you need like the Team One sports app. Like no network could like throw that game on realizing people are going to be like, all right, yeah, I'll finish off strong with Hawaii. You need like some app that doesn't even work on TVs. It's only on your phone. I blame all you on the West Coast. Why?

I mean, because that's on at a time that's like reasonable on the West Coast. But they look at the West Coast and they look at the consumption habits and they go, yeah, these people don't watch as much football. They don't gamble on as much football. I'm just stating facts. Sorry. That is a West Coast problem. I think we need to get together with Dave Coelho.

I think Great Too, he needs to be involved and start. next year. I agree on Dave. FS1 starts airing Hawaii Games Week Zero, you know, just to wrap up the... Yeah, Kona as a sponsor? Maybe. Listen, you know, open-minded to all that stuff. Now, speaking of, you know,

we were talking about, you know, West Virginia and Penn State and all that. I just want to have a seat on that to that desk. Yeah. I'd love to have it. You would? Oh, man. I'd love to sit next to queue. Yeah. That'd be fun. It'd be wonderful. Yeah, it's cool to get invites to that stuff, huh?

Yeah. We wouldn't know. I don't know why you're smiling, Jonas. You wouldn't travel anyway. You wouldn't travel. What do you talk about? You don't like traveling, dude, too much. You know how many times I've seen Dave Coelho on a plane and he pretends like he doesn't

see me because he knows it's an awkward conversation, be like, hey, LeBar was on set. Why wasn't I? It's like, you were in Ohio when, and I was even fighting the gout and still made it on there. Yeah. My pride wouldn't let me limp on, on. Yeah, Lebar on camera. It was almost like you got that, that. nectar from the guy.

My pride, y'all saw the way I walked into that guy day. Did you get a tweedle shot? No. Lovar's foot looked like a duffel bag and he still made it on to the guy. He broke down the tunnel area and walked on to the field and watched the whole field or watched the whole game with no, no walker. And as soon as the game was over and I knew we were going to lose my, I felt the pain

come back in my foot. And I had to use my scooter again. Yeah. Yeah. It was sad. It was sad watching you use the scooter in general. Yeah, I know. I know.

I was like, I'd go back and watch highlights of you like leaping over the line of scrimmage and like blocking field goals. You got to move around with a scooter. Then I'd look over at you sitting there with a full scooter. Every time somebody say, hey, LeVar, it was like a slow nap. I just don't. I just don't see you in a scooter. I'm sorry. You get.

I would have saw how fast I was scooting after we lost that. Hey. I was like I was like Speedy Gonzalez out of that pair I was flying I was fly I had my hoodie up I had my my hat down I was going so fast

because all I saw was to see Ohio State fast and I had to go through all of them to get to the car Hey you know what though Is that LeVar Harrington? You coming on big new kickoff Maybe bad luck Maybe man

You've been a what, two times now? We lose. The all-timer. The all-timer. I mean, is it two-time or three times now? It's like three times. Three times. That's so awesome.

The stiff arm was the first one. Are you owing three? Yes. And that's why I will not, I'm coming home for a game anyway. I talk to Dave. I won't be in Morgan Town. A, the stiff arm was in all-time. That's got to be, that's up there.

That's got to be up there. I mean, that's got to be one of the club most classic moments. the look on that woman's face how shocked and surprised she was she was Iowa hockey and it was game day she was close enough for my reef so it was Penn State at Iowa it was 2021

we had that game one they heard our quarterback and the bar is brought out and there's Iowa fans that are you know cheering booing him and kind of giving him a hard time on the set of big noon kickoff I remember I'm watching the game on TV and I see did he just stiff arm that lady He almost did like the icky shuffle though when he first came out.

He felt like you made contact. Boom, I sat that joint right to the face. Some moments sit there like cheering on her Iowa hot guys and get you know, T's and LeVar. LeVar gives her a stiff arm and you made contact. Yes. Oh, that's stiff arm. I moved the face.

I didn't punch her in the fourth slap room. But I made contact. Once I safely made contact with the face, then I shoved it a little bit because it went be a stiff arm if I didn't stiff in the arm and move the face. So there was that. Yeah. But we've lost every time I've been on the room. Things are going to change this weekend. Yeah. Well, I won't be there. So we should be all right. All right. Yeah. Coming back. Come check Man Man out. All right. Pretty good last week. What up, man, man. Yeah. All right. So speaking of Pennsylvania, you know, the Pittsburgh Steelers, we mentioned

earlier that the Patriots are they haven't yet announced that Drake May is going to be the starter even though Gerard Mayo said that he's outplayed Jacoby Brissette. Jacoby Brissette's also got a shoulder injury that he's dealing with. Well, Mike Tomlin and the the Steelers, I mean they got to see Russell Wilson in

five snaps in the preseason game. Justin Fields came in. Russell looked pretty good in the brief stint that he had over the weekend. But Mike Tomlin discussed that there's still more work to be done when it comes to them making a decision at QB. We'll make a decision at the end of our work week this upcoming week.

We've got three days of Steelers versus Steelers work, and why not do it then? It kind of minimizes the Steelers versus Steelers work when we start making decisions prior to the completion of that. We've got ample time to prepare for Atlanta and make whatever decisions or announcements regarding divisional labor or pecking orders and so forth. And so we'll do it at the end of the work week. Steelers versus Steelers. Yeah. Determining factor. I mean, I'll let Q have it, but that's, that's.

sounds about right. You already heard my opinion on this. They knew who the starter is. I don't know why they're doing it this way. It just, it bothers me, man. I just, it's almost like this is how you create problems within your own locker room.

Is when you're a coach and you are not more defiant or more outspoken about who your leader is, then when you do face adversity early in the season, it leads to that same question being amongst the dudes in the locker room. I mean, and that's one of the reasons why I'm not against, like, quarterback battles are quarterback battles. The hard part, though, is at some point you have to define who that guy is. And then you have to give that guy every chance, every opportunity to go be the guy. And if you've got him going out there splitting reps in his preparation,

or looking over, I mean, it's just, looking over his shoulder, it doesn't work. It never allows anyone to feel like they're the guy. They can go out there and they can play free and they can make throws and make mistakes and still come back from that. I mean, imagine being in any other position and constantly feeling like,

well, if I miss this tackle, then I'm not going to play anymore. Or if I miss this car, I mess up my alignment. I'm not going to be able to play anymore. I mean, that's the hard part about it. With a quarterback position, there's so many things that you're responsible for.

So there's, you know, a multitude of things you could get wrong on any given play. And so at some point you have to be able to play with a degree of it's okay. It doesn't have to be perfect. I just got to keep taking profits, keep moving the football, keep things going forward because there's all these variables that impact my job. And so when adversity strikes, and instead of sticking with a guy and letting him fight through it and see if he can overcome a bad half of football or bad three quarters of football,

you then have a locker room that's in question too because the head coach wasn't question about it. So that's the thing that I hate. I think it almost sets a tone for how the season's going to go. And you've been pretty outspoken, LeVar, about not being very optimistic about the Steelers this year. Is that fair to say? That is fair.

And I can understand why you'd say that for the reasons you've made, but now even more so like I'm starting to feel that way just because of how they're letting this whole thing drag on. I don't care who it is. Name the guy, let him go be the guy. And then let's see what you've got after eight, nine games. You've got a new coordinator.

You've got two new quarterback. So whichever one it is, there's going to be a learning curve. There's going to be a process of breaking these guys in. Truth. And letting the offense settle in. Truth. I would say this.

I would offer this. If I were Mike Tomlin, I look at my OC, I look at my offensive line coach, and I'd be like coaches. Sit them down. Broderick, sit down. James, Zach, Isaac, Dan, sit down.

You do understand that you are dictating the decision that has to be made for this football team at the quarterback's position. It's your poor play that is forcing me to not be able to say I declared definitively that Russell Wilson is the start. Now we know Russ is the starter. We know we're going to start them, but y'all out there putting for such a piss poor effort that this man is giving the ball to Najee every single time. He's throwing it in the flats, in the flares, every single time, because y'all can't block anybody. And it doesn't look like Russ is going to run. So he's going to try to throw the ball because he wants to be seen as a throwing quarterback.

And he isn't running. Now we got to put Justin in. and Justin's doing the exact opposite. He's holding the ball. He's looking over the field. He's getting chased out because y'all don't want to block. And now he's running all over the place. And we're getting the same amount of yardage that we get

if he throws and Russell throws the ball to Naja Harris. So what are we going to do? Y'all need to step up. Y'all need to drop a set. Act like you know what's on at stake right now. You need to do what you need to do. And that's how I'm going to be able to determine our Steelers on Steelers, being able to say that Russ is our starter.

Because otherwise, y'all putting us in a position where I'm going to put Russ out there. He's going to get sacked like 15 times setting an NFL record, a in-game season record, that's all your fault. It's every last one of y'all's fault. It ain't my fault.

It ain't the coach's fault. It is weird how they're handled. To ever tell you guys a story about how Lovie Smith handled a quarterback situation in camp? Wait, what happens? Is that with the Bears? And I'm glad they asked. What kind of coin?

was it? Rexman, Colorn? What do you do? I'm glad he asked. Well, so what he decided on during the preseason was he was flipping a coin to see who was going to start a preseason game. So, yeah, so there was one of those, you know, one of those situations there in Chicago.

So I don't know if I had ever told you guys that before, but I figured I would have told it. And what happened? He flipped the coin and then it, what, head or tail? I mean, I don't remember what the result was, but I just know that Kyle Orton ended up winning the job. Well, there you go. Yeah. So there you go. End up winning the job.

That might be what they need to do because if their offensive line. doesn't block any better than what they're doing right now. It doesn't matter who's in there. They're not going to have very much often. I still couldn't get over the one clip I saw. This is just how much of like I can't take people on social media serious is they're like, oh, look at Russell Wilson here holding on with the football. It's like the right tackle gets blown up.

I mean, literally takes a step back and is almost getting thrown into Russell Wilson. They're like, oh, that's on Russell Wilson. And it's like, okay, are we just not going to talk about this 300-pound human being flying back into his face? I was like, hey, is that not a problem for Pittsburgh Steelers fans? Because it feels like that's where things have gone downhill for them outside of Matt Canada's terrible play calling. Jeez. Their offensive line has slowly faded away. I mean, that's just the reality of it.

I hate to say us. I hate to say we because I never played for the Steelers. But that is not what we're known for. Stillers. The Steelers aren't known for that. Mike Webster. Dermani Dawson. Leon Searcy.

Pouncy. We're not known for bad offensive line play. We stink right now. That makes it hard. It makes it hard to do anything that you need to do. A running game is anemic because we all have blocking. We can't establish the past. I'm upset.

I'm a disgruntled Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Signed, yours truly. Lovar Erin. What about Alan Fannica? Ross Township. North Hills High School. Northside raised born and bred.

I believe in Mike Tomlin, though. Something has to give, though. I believe in Mike Tomlin. I will say that. That is the one caveat to all of this is that if somebody can kind of pull it together and figure it out, it's going to be Mike Tomlin.

Well, there's a competition going on in the control room. Yeah, I mean. And you know what that competition is, Q? It's a very, very diabolical competition that takes place. Why is there a competition going on?

I mean, it's too late in the day. Well, obviously it is not. Obviously, it's time because Big Gris stood up and said, do not enter this room because the grizzly has delivered. That's all I'm going to say. And Lee's looking for some retaliation. He mentioned that he had

some good ammunition. Wiener Snitzel yesterday. He had some good ammo. And then I was like, oh, was that one over in Burbank by the AM570 studios. He's like, ah, exactly. So yeah, same one. And they serve beer there, and they've always got soccer games on the TV. I'm like, wait,

what? Like, why would Reader Snitchell serve beer? Water brew? Why do they look like They got their own motion? Why does everybody Across the window look like there in slow motion though? You gotta move slow in it. Why would they serve beer?

Why not? Everyone should serve fear. You're right. That's why leaders would go to church. Yeah, fair enough. That makes all the sense in the world. And you guys give me Fleck when we were looking for a place to watch Thursday night football. I told you Whole Foods right next to that, Weiner Schnitzel.

Has a bar in it. And because they're owned by Amazon. They had the Thursday night football game on. It's a great place to go grab a beer and a burger. This is why I don't go to church. They should have beers available for a... God, Lee. Post-sermon, post-sermon beers available in the dining hall.

Oh, what a life, man. Lee, he just says there's like bits of information he's got on some establishments locally that I just would never think of. I would never think to go to Whole Foods to watch Al Michaels. and Kirk Herb Street call Thursday game. I've tried to tell Lee before. He's got to figure something out. I mean, I know he thinks he's got to figure it out,

but we need a life-changing event to speed up some of the maturity stuff. I think you got it wrong, Brady. I think I got it. My brother was telling me, I was talking to my brother the other day, and he's all, man, he's all, when Brady told Lee on the air, Lee, like, you should maybe like have some kids or something so you can, like, settle down and figure it out. He's all I almost lost it.

again because it's just so like I mean today's an example of that like I was testing something out and the way like Lee's kind of nonchalantly hitting me up I'm like hey dude I have a window of time and then I don't like that's that's how the day works and where Lee's like

hey man like I you know like I'll be there like 20 30 or hey man where are you man I'm over here just hanging out man I had my fantasy draft last night I had a great draft that a few beers, few shots.

A few more beers than shots. I don't you guys get it together back there. This is the best. This is the best one going. Hey, man. The best one going. Get it together back there. For God's sakes.

I'm sorry, Brady. Be a couple of professionals. Lee, do better with yourself. I'm seriously going to adopt the child for Lee and get it to him. And be like, it's yours now. This is your child. Lee. And just see how Lee's life changes dramatically.

All right. Well, listen, enough with that and over to this. Dionne Sanders, Coach Prime. The latest is there's a reporter from the Denver Post who has now been banned from asking questions of anybody. That reporter is Sean Keeler. So anybody within the Colorado football program,

he is not allowed to ask questions because they say that he was putting together some personal attacks, sustained personal attacks. He even threw out a couple of nicknames to Dion like the Bruce Lee of BS, deposition Dion. So thus, he had his credential revoked, and he will not be able to. Now, he can attend all of the football stuff.

can't ask any questions. So credential's still there. How does that work? But the microphone is not. If he asks a question, what happens? He's not allowed. He can't. He just ignore him. He doesn't get the mic when they hand it around. Like, it just, he gets skipped. So. He gets to take notes. So Dion was

He's like the guy who comes in shadows, everyone else, were like, you can't do or say anything, you can just sit here. Hey, Brady. You can watch it observe? Hey, Jonas. Can you all ask my question for me, please? There was a guy, I remember being, uh, covering the UFC. They had a, event out here in LA and this is back in 2011 2011 2012 was right when Fox got started their

partnership with the UFC until we were out there covering the event and one of the main reporters for MMA was this guy I think his name was Josh Gross I think it was and he was on the outside of the ropes and wasn't allowed to interview talk to anybody cover anything and I was asking one of the other people there was like what why isn't like he's like one of the main reporters that covers a sport like from its beginning and he goes oh, he gave out the results to a taped event, so Dana White pulled his card, and he's literally banned from ever covering the UFC again.

Dang. It's a little bit different, though. That is the owner of the league. I mean, yeah, but it's like, oh, you want to play that game? Cool. Zero access. Have fun doing your job that way. And so that's what happened to this,

to Sean Keeler here. He's not allowed to ask questions. So Dion was talking with the media and just was asked about his handling of negativity when it comes from reporters, and it sounded like this. I hope that I'm covering you from now through the college football playoff.

I hope so, too. Yeah. I pray so. Yeah. But I'm also known as a person that sometimes asks less than supportive questions or critical questions. I don't know. So if I ask a negative question, will you not answer them anymore? That's being negative right now.

Like, you take an approach that I'm going to be negative. I'm not negative to anybody in here. I will challenge you and ask you why or where it's coming from. So I'm not built like that. I'm not built to hate. I'm not a hateful guy. I'm not a, I come

with love. I think if anybody in here has had encounters with me, I don't come with the bulljunk. I come with the peace and the joy. Now, when you show me where you stand, I might have to change that a little bit. So I'm not going to match your ignorance or whatever. Not saying that you're ignorant, but a person

I'm not going to match that. Well, that's your prerogative. I don't have to where you come where you are because my life is complete i don't like what you say what you do is not going to change my life so there's your former teammate there lavar yeah you want it first cue or you want me to no i actually listened to up on game so i listened to you guys um this this past weekend and i listen to jonas a little bit too so i'm i'm i want this audience obviously to hear how you feel about it i'm just kind of curious if if you feel the exact same is when you guys kind of I don't even remember what I said, but I will say,

once that show's over, I move on. I don't really think about these people and anything that's going on too much. I do know this. I do remember saying something to the effect of a lot of the things that I learned in terms of how I approach things was due to the influence of Dion and how he took me under his wing when I was a rookie, you know, from laying out my uniform. to my preparation of how I looked at film as a pro

to how I conditioned myself as a pro. I've learned a lot of things from Dion Sanders. And the one thing that I also saw from Dion Sanders is he walked around as who he was and has never, he's never compromised it. No one has ever, I've never seen any question of who Dionne Sanders is in terms of the understanding of himself, the standard that he has for himself,

and the way that he feels about it. And I think my assessment of what's going on right now is he's trying to create a culture that fits who he has been and who he is as a person. Now, is that right or wrong for a coach to do that? I would think that when you look at a coach, what they bring to the table is the culture that they envision what they want their

organization, their team, what they want the culture of that place to look like is an extension of who they are. And I don't think that people have always liked how Dion goes about the way he does things, but Dion's never cared about that. He's always been

unapologetically who he is. And I think that's what he's bringing to the table at Colorado. For right or for wrong, I think that that's what he's doing in Colorado. And it's like if you're a player, that subscribes to how Dion is and what Deion brings to the table,

you fit if you're a reporter, if you're part of this organization, coaches and everything. If you don't, then you probably need to move on. Yeah, but to the point you just made about him not caring,

I don't know any of their coach that has it in their contract that it has to be what, mutually agreed upon? Yeah. For them to talk and interview and all. Like, I've never heard of that. That,

that tells me that obviously he cares right sure i guess the thing that i kind of step back and look at it is you know he's deion is obviously one of the greatest players we've ever seen but as a coach he's still building that legacy and i think the difference is like you look at a bill Belichick, even look at Nick Saban, the college level. You know, they handle the media the way they handle the media because they've had a certain amount of success. And so whether you like it or not, you kind of just have to deal with it until they're not. I mean, everyone I feel like last year or even the past couple of years, maybe you'd say

since Tom Brady's left, has tried to take their shots of Bill Belichick. And, you know, obviously Nick Saban, you know, left more on a high. he made it to the college football playoff, didn't win it, but a little different set of circumstances. Now he's in the media. Maybe it changes his perspective of how he deal with the media more. But the general point is, you know, when you have success,

you can kind of do things the way you want and control it more. And I think the hard part is for people on the outside from Colorado probably didn't view last year as a success. I think there's some people who did. There's probably some people who don't. because of the way that the team fell off in the second half of the season or after the first, you know, four or five weeks. Even though if you look at where Colorado was two years ago, it was a huge success, right? Like you more than doubled your return.

You got four wins, and it wasn't even close to that. And some people will say, well, look at conference play. They didn't really improve a conference play. So what? They improved their overall win-loss record. They were one of the most watched teams and celebrated teams, and despite the fact that they were winning. So imagine if they do improve, they continue to win. Imagine what that will look like.

So I'm kind of, I've got a somewhere in between of really curious to see what this year looks like. But at the same time, kind of wishing that when you're in that head coaching role, you just take it on. Like you take a head on, whatever that may be, the adversity, the negativity, whatever it is. because all it does is breed or open up, you know, like a free range on anyone saying whatever they want. I mean, that's the world and society we live in right now. If you don't have a response or something, like someone's going to have something to say, some narrative is going to be spun out there. And then it's out of your control because you choose not to talk about it.

You choose not to talk to that person. Like this individual he's talking about, Sean Keeler, is that his name? Yeah. I mean, he's still going to write. It's like, if he wants to say something negative, he's still going to be able to say something negative. And by the way, this probably doesn't help his case of not writing something negative. So I just look at it and kind of go, he obviously cares, otherwise he wouldn't put it in his contract. And maybe he's just trying to control the narrative.

But either way, it's like, well, it doesn't really change the fact that you're still ultimately going to be judged on whether you would or lose. And you could ask the question, like, does this create more distractions by little things like this off? the field. You know, the biggest thing to me is when I've listened to it and I've looked at it, I think about it from this perspective, right? The one thing that we said the entire time is him, him, him, him, him.

How's he going to handle it? Him, him, him. He has to win, right? And the one thing as, like, a former coach, the one thing that I always thought about is I always want to take the negative focus off of my players and put the negative if we didn't have a good game. and it's local reporter.

This is a small stuff, right? But nonetheless, the approach is the same. I want to say things that say, I could have done better as a coach. I could have done things that helped us out. We could have done better. In this scenario,

my question is, okay, I know Dionne Sanders. I played with him. Paws. We were teammates. I know who he is. I know his character.

I know him as a person, one of the most solid dudes spiritually, you know, grounded. dudes that you'll ever meet. Wants to help everybody out is always there for you support. As a coach, now the question

becomes, does this take the focus off of the players and put it solely on Coach Prime? Or does it make the eye of the media take aim at the players even more? Is it a

whole, is a holistic approach? Are you going after the players, the same way you're going after Dion, because as Dion, you can personally say, you're not doing this. You're banned. You can be a part of this? But can your players handle that? Everybody's not going to be.

I only know of one prime time Dion Sanders as a player or as a coach. I only know of one. You have children, that's great. Shador can play, cool. You know, Shiloh can play, that's great. Bucky is recording. He's killing it on content. Wonderful.

But I still only know. one Dionne Sanders. I still only no one. And I just wonder, can his team handle the amount of pressure that is continuing to mount on this football program? And is it purely on him or is it on

the entire team? And to me, that's the biggest question that I believe is going to have to be answered moving forward into this season. The last thing I would say just really quickly is his approach is so different or unique that there's an element of a lot of people who've covered this sport for a long time and they've never seen someone turn over the roster the way he has or handle things the way he has and it doesn't necessarily make it wrong as I said before like in year one there was an improvement from the prior staff that was there and in year two if he improves again like that's progress so that doesn't make anything that he's done

or his method of how he's doing it wrong. It just feels so different that people are like, well, this isn't going to work or this couldn't possibly work. Well, how do you know? We're one season into this thing. And I mean, based on viewership, based on other things, ticket sales. It's working.

It's working. And so, you know, we'll see this year if they continue to progress and they get the wins and the ticket sales stay there, the viewership stays there. That'll be one of the telltale signs. But that's part of it, too, is like, From the media standpoint, there's an element of not wanting to trust or believe that this way of doing it is the way to do it when you don't really know. Because no one's really done it to this magnitude, the way he's done it.

So that's one of the things I'm most curious to see. Like I know everyone wants to have like a hot take or a fiery opinion. I don't really have one because I'd rather sit back and watch football and watch the game and see like, hey, have they improved as an offense? Can they block up front? Do they have balance in a running game? defensively, you know, can they, have they improved up front of their defensive line? They brought that boy on. Sap ain't fishing. He's coaching right now. I know they're going to improve.

Just off of that edition alone, they're going to improve. Well, you hope, right? You hope. Because as you said earlier, like, you got to have talent. And that's the hard thing is, as much as we want to look at the transfer portal as a place to replenish or get talent. There's also an element of like most of the big boy schools, if they want to keep a guy, they keep a guy. They're going to keep them. So if he left, it's like, well, maybe it's. maybe there was a reason why they left.

We all said it, but like there's only about maybe eight teams that maybe actually can. John Madden said he would bungee court out of the good

year blimp at the 50-yard line at the Washington, then known as the R Skins, made it to the Super Bowl. And I don't remember what year it was, maybe 0-1. Yeah. But he said it. So I thought we were going to make it. Well, I thought he was out of his mind. I thought he was getting older. You know, I thought he needed to retire after he said, we ain't went, we ain't went nothing.

We didn't too much Treduckin. You thought maybe too much Tudan? We were out of running before Tudan's were even in play. So, you know, there's that. His bold proclamation was safe. By the way, I'm such an idiot. I thought, I had no idea. I thought Turducken was like an actual bird.

I didn't realize it was like a combination. Well, don't tell too many people that, man. Like, I'm such an idiot. A turkey, a duck, and a chicken. Yeah, they put them together. Yeah, I had, I just. That's all good, man. But don't think that there was a duck that had like, what, like a, a,

what was that? What are you got? What else we got, Ryan? What else we got, Ryan? The Dolphins season, their season doesn't kick off until September 8th when they take on the Jaguars. Head coach Mike McDaniel announced today Bradley Chubb and offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn, starting the season on the Pupp list, physically unable to perform. Gonna have to miss at least the first four games of the season.

Should we be worried a little bit about these dolphins already banged up to start the year? Yeah, at two spots they can't afford to be, right? The O line and the D line? I mean, that's the concern. That's the weakest part of their team. It is funny hearing people talk about like this week one and how it's going to go for the dolphins and jags. Does anybody actually think they're going to get that game in?

Does everybody think Brian Flores went to a voodoo doctor and got, oh, geez. They got them joints made up where they stick the needles in them and stuff like that. South Florida, week one, that game's getting moved to Monday. There'll be a weather delay. There's going to be some lightning. He's got to be hoping that they don't win, right? You think Brian Flores is rooting against two-uncom?

I would assume he's not going to say it out loud, but I mean, a little bit of redemption, baby. Justification? I don't know. Yeah, it's not, that is not gone well. I just wonder if he's being honest with himself. Is he watching the games like, go Miami. All right, good play dolphins, or is he like, mm-hmm?
