This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Who's Michigan playing? That's my team now.
Michigan's your team now?
What about USC?
I like USC too, but everybody bangs on Harbaugh, and I'm a Harbaugh guy.
Frontrunner Cowherd.
You just like whoever's good in the top ten?
No, I defended him when everybody was banging on it.
Last time Jim Harbaugh was here, he left me a very nice note.
And his dad watches the show.
Okay.
And his dad made him call me a month ago.
His dad said, call coward.
He says nice things about you.
That says a lot about Harbaugh to listen to his dad.
That's right.
His dad's probably like, what, 85?
I said nice stuff, and his dad said, get on the phone and call coward.
I hope my kid's watching from PE right now, I guess.
Jeff Schwartz, Fox Sports, eight years in the NFL.
We'll get to your Oregon Ducks in a second.
You're still gloating.
I can see it.
I don't even have to ask you a question about that.
It's so obnoxious, whatever.
So let me ask you this.
So Belichick says, hey, we were going to use both quarterbacks.
There's a running back and a receiver that said,
we didn't know we were going to use both quarterbacks.
So let me ask you, would you know,
going into a game if it was a two-quarterback week.
Absolutely you would know because the guys would split reps with the ones.
You get a certain amount of reps in practice, right?
And those reps are taken up by the one quarterback.
It's all the reps with the ones.
And then the scout team is number two.
And so you would know if you're a player,
if you split reps between Zappi and Mack Jones,
that we were doing a two-quarterback system heading into the game.
Maybe Belichick had in his mind.
But if you're not preparing both quarterbacks to play with the reps
in the game plan, what are we doing with the
quarterbacks? Yeah. Okay, here's the
other question. Bill Barnwell
is a very smart guy at ESPN.
And Barnwell suggested, he
said, and you know this, when you start
a business, if you make a mistake,
don't be rigid. Move
off it. You know, don't double down in
your mistakes. And
I think a lot of general managers do. And
Barnwell said, you know, between Brandon
and I, Yook, you could get
some draft capital back because you got enough receivers.
Jennings and Debo, Samuel,
and Danny Gray and George Kittle.
He got enough weapons.
And he also said,
you have to consider moving
Trey Lance.
And I wouldn't move him now.
But if OTAs wasn't pretty
and the preseason wasn't pretty
and he's still completing 50% of his throws,
I would be like,
all right, let's sign Jimmy Garoppolo to a longer deal
and draft another quarterback.
You tell me as an offensive lineman
and you were on the Panthers,
the Vikings, the chiefs, the giants.
Did you know early?
You wouldn't say it privately,
but as an offensive lineman,
did you know early?
Yeah, this young quarterback,
how long did it take, Jeff, for you to know,
got it, don't have it.
Oh, very quickly.
Unfortunately, it's maybe a lot of positions
where you feel that way.
And the guys get better, of course,
but there's little glimmers you see
of young players of whether or not they have it, right?
Like, especially that position when you're putting there right away,
I don't want to call anyone out,
but like, you know, we had Jimmy Cawson and Carolina,
and it just didn't go well.
Like, it just didn't go well from the beginning.
And they put them in an unfair position to really succeed
because they made him start kind of right away and kind of threw him in there very early.
He wasn't ready to play quite yet now.
Could you make the argument that players need time to develop?
Absolutely.
And there are times when you put guys in too early before they have a chance to really get into the NFL system
and feel really good about where they are.
But that's part of the game now, right?
There's no waiting.
You are playing right now if you're a young guy.
You very rarely get the Patrick Mahomes treatment of sitting out an entire season.
Even Trey Lance got to have that most of that treatment in year one.
So you can tell right away whether or not a guy has the it factor.
Now, of course, coaching matters.
system matters, your offensive line matters, your weapons matter,
but you can tell early on if that guy just kind of has that pre-wequisite quality
of being an elite player.
Well, Joe Burroughs is a great example of that,
where Albert Breer was on earlier and his dad tells stories,
he was eight-year-old kid, and you could just tell he got the game very, very quickly.
Ohio State, you know, they had somebody in front of him,
and then LSU, he kind of scuffed his first year.
So to your point, but here's where it gets interesting.
We can all see after six to seven, eight games, Herbert's it,
Kyler's good, you know.
What's interesting is when you get into a situation like now with the Jets,
they're winning, but they're not letting Zach Wilson beat them.
They've taken the ball out of his hands.
I mean, you can see the way the Jets are coaching.
Or the Giants where they're not taking it out of Daniel Jones hands.
They're not.
But there's limitations on what I see.
When you look at the, I think the Giants are a coaching story, not a corporate.
quarterback story. What do you, what would you do if you're the Giants? Do you extend him?
What do you do with Daniel Jones? It is an offense designed around a quarterback. They want to
limit his dropback passing to zero. If they could have zero times Daniel Jones takes a three
or five step drop or seven step drop, they'll limit all of that. It's an offense that wants to
limit all of that. They want easy passes for their quarterback. Also, without any really wide receivers
and interior offense align, but you don't really trust and now right tackle the turn. Like,
they're doing a fantastic job of finding ways to get the ball out of his hands,
quickly find guys open, do creative things with the wildcat, with formations.
There was a point in this game on Sunday when they ran the same play like seven times in a row.
Yes, yes.
Run the ball down Jacksonville's throat.
And I love it.
It's a 100% of a coaching thing.
And they're going to have to make a hard decision at the end of the season.
I think it will be, hey, let's find someone else.
I don't think it's a slight about Daniel Jones.
But you mentioned like Joe Burrow, these guys that are at the top of their game.
And you need one of those guys to win a Super Bowl.
at least to be in the conversation most of the time.
They have an elite, like, what's Daniel Jones elite talent?
Is it running the football?
Well, that's not really a talent you kind of win Super Bowl's with, right?
So he doesn't have kind of that elite talent and elite attributes
where you feel comfortable with him being in third and seven,
seven times a game against a good team and making follow those conversions.
So I think they find someone else in the off season,
but 100%, they had a great coaching staff.
They are doing a fantastic job of what they're given to start this season.
Okay, now another quarterback who's better than Daniel Jones.
The last 12 games, Tua's played, he's 1-10.
I think he's better than Daniel.
I think he's also small and limited.
So what do you do?
It's interesting.
I watch them and I'm like, I've been critical of Tua.
I think the Steeler game is classic.
You script 15 plays.
They score early.
Essentially in the NFL, if you get a 10-0-13-0-lead against an average quarterback,
you win the game.
And that's what they did.
They won the game.
What do you do with T-N-Fleysl?
going in. What do you see with that offense?
I mean, I think you hope that in year two next year that he becomes better, right?
More confident in the system. Again, he's not going to be one of these guys that
you just like have this four-game stretch in the playoffs, I think, where he leads you to a Super Bowl.
I just don't see that quite yet. Look at the AFC conference.
What does he rank as far as quarterbacks right now? Like eighth, ninth in the AFC alone.
He's very good in the scheme. He's very good in this offense.
He threw four balls that easily could have been intercepted by the Steelers.
And that changes obviously how we feel about his game.
But I think in this offense, though, we've seen whether it's Jimmy G, whether it's
a little Jared Gough as well.
Like this offense, you can win a lot of football games with a quarterback like two.
I'm not saying they can't win with them, but is he going to take them to the next level?
I don't know.
But they should let him have another year in the system, obviously.
I think he's earned that right so far.
All right.
You played under Andy Reid.
You know him.
He's smart.
You love your chiefs.
and your brother was a great player for them.
It is interesting watching Mahomes dissect the Niners defense.
I may have asked you this before.
I feel like Mahomes and Josh Allen and maybe Burrough have separated from the league.
They're just simply, the score doesn't matter.
Leading, trailing, it just doesn't matter.
I feel the score matters with almost every other quarterback, not named Burrow, Mahomes, and Josh Allen.
What's remarkable about Mahomes is his coachability, his personality.
He is such a team guy.
He's going to get richer.
He's going to get more endorsements.
Do you think he falls, pray to any of that?
I mean, he looks like you almost knock on wood with him and go,
we literally won the power ball with Mahomes.
Does he have a hole?
I don't think so.
I mean, look at his career so far, right?
He was the MVP in his first full season.
and he started through 50 touchdown passes.
He made a Super Bowl in year two and won that Super Bowl.
He made a Super Bowl in year three,
and last year he made the answer championship game
and lost in that kind of horrific fashion down the stretch.
He came back this year, and he might be better from the pocket.
The Niners game was important, I think, for the Chiefs,
because it was the first game this season
where their wide receivers were kind of the reason the offense were.
Yeah, yeah.
And not really Travis Kelsey, and he was good, obviously.
And, you know, the fly seems to go.
But the wide receivers,
MVS and Juju were the reason why the offense really flourished.
And they hadn't had that yet this season.
And now they go into a buy week and it's great off a buy.
Like this is the first sign, I think, of, okay, we figured out how to use our guys.
Back shoulder fade.
Mahomes didn't throw that his entire time.
He hasn't had to do that.
Yeah.
So he's learning how to play with these bigger wide receivers.
I think that's the takeaway is that they finally found a way to find the wide receivers
in the defense and use them in the best way possible in this offense.
Yeah.
What a marriage made in heaven.
Andy Reed and Patrick Mahomes.
I mean, seriously, the great play designer and the great armed talent.
Okay.
So UCLA and USC ignored you.
Oregon didn't.
You became a duck.
And they crushed UCLA.
They didn't really ignore you.
So here's my thing.
If Oregon runs the table, certainly possible.
Because if they run the table, they were humiliated by Georgia.
Why in the world, am I going to let a team that lost by 150?
50 points to Georgia in the playoff,
even if they go undefeated the rest of the way.
If it was USC, you put him in there, Colin.
Here's the deal with this.
This is obviously discussion after Oregon's win.
I was in Atlanta.
It was ugly, all that.
I mean, teams get better, obviously.
As an Oregon fan, man,
I'm okay with playing like Michigan in the Rose Bowl.
Okay.
Totally fine with me.
Yeah.
11 and 2, 12 and 1.
You're playing a Michigan team that one lost to Ohio State.
like sign me up for that.
This idea that you can only have a good season
if you end up in the playoff to me
is the wrong way to look at college football.
Like imagine you're 13 and 1.
You have been presumably UCLA, Utah,
USC in the Pacto championship game,
and Michigan in the Rose Bowl.
You tell me that's not a good season
because you didn't play in the playoff?
Like I don't understand this idea of playoff or bust.
There are teams like Ohio State, like Georgia, like Alabama.
That is their season.
But for the under 1209,
teams, that's not the season. It's okay to play in a Rose Bowl, be successful. And then obviously,
hopefully next year is more of a playoff run. So I'm fine with missing on the playoff.
Fine with me. If we win the Pack 12, we go play Rose Bowl, we play Michigan, Ohio State.
Totally fine with that. A lot of whee's in there. I went to Oregon. I'm all to say we.
I can say we. All right, Jeff Schwartz. Say hi to your brother. He was on about a week ago. He's
great. Good seeing you, buddy. Thank you. Take care, bud. All right. Good stuff. He made a really good point on
the Chiefs. That's the first time it was a wide receiver chiefs showcase. They burnt that secondary,
good secondary. It's like, uh-oh, watch out. I had them two in the hierarchy. Maybe I should
have had them one. I just think back to the way you defend the Chiefs and the 49ers knew it and
they did not do it. And they gave up the big plays. The bills did it. Chiefs receivers didn't look as
explosive. Be sure to catch live editions of the herd weekdays in noon Eastern 9 a.m. Pacific on Fox Sports

Do you remember when Diana Ross
double-tap Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush
didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush
got to do with Little Kim?
Well, you can find out
on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick it here,
unpack what went down,
and try to make sense of how we survived it.
including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill,
waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 was big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack all day, but just so you all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
Yes, I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important year.
for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
J-Mack with a news.
No, no, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
All right, let's start with the best team in the NFC, Philadelphia Eagles, 6 and O.
Coming off the by week, big 10 and a half point favorites over the Steelers Sunday.
They are at home.
I see you wincing cowherd.
You don't want to touch this game, huh?
According to Fox Bet, they are a favorite in every game left, Colin, in the regular season.
Oh, you told you were the guy that said.
You said this a month before the season.
You said, watch out for Philadelphia.
You said, go look at their schedule.
You were on this early, and I was like, all right.
I mean, I picked them to win their division.
But after they got to be 3 and 0 and you watch out.
Yeah, you're like, nobody goes undefeated.
By the way, they could rest starters if they went like 15 O or something.
But you start looking at this.
schedule. It's a lot of bad
quarter. I mean, look at this.
You're going to go to Kenny Pickett.
Who's the scariest quarterback on that list?
Aaron Rogers.
And Aaron Rogers has lost to the Jets, Giants, and Washington.
You know, you could see a team.
The Giants twice, though.
Giants are going to get one of those.
Giants are going to win one of those.
At New York, week 14.
A game's on Fox.
I think the Dak Prescott game is the one you've got to circle.
It's on Christmas Eve.
The line is the shortest of any Philly spread, Eagles
minus one.
So, listen, I don't like to talk about undefeating the NFL.
It's almost impossible.
But, favored every game the rest of the way, Jalen Hertz, A.J. Brown, good running game.
The defense is nasty.
The one thing about their defense, Colin, they don't have to blitz to get pressure.
Their top five in pressure rate without blitzing.
No, it's a big deal.
So then your cornerbacks can get all the pressure.
I mean, Slay, big play, Slay.
That's what the Niners, when they're healthy do.
They get a huge pass rush and don't bring any extra people.
And listen, the New York Jets are on that with Sauce Gardner and DJ Reed,
but I'm going to stop talking about the Jets.
Bottom line, how long do you think the Eagles can keep the undefeated stretch?
They will lose a game to the Cowboys and the Giants.
So 15 and 2?
Yeah, number 1C.
Number one C.
Next up, let's go to a less heralded team in the NFC.
The PJ Walker led Panthers.
They beat the Bucks in the largest upset of the season by a mile.
Interim coach Steve Wilkes came out and announced P.J. Winkle will remain the starter this week against a falcons.
regardless of the health status of Baker Mayfield or Sam Darnold.
Now, Donald has it, I don't know if he's been cleared to return.
I don't even know.
It doesn't really matter.
This team stinks.
But, you know, I just picked up PJ Walker in my fantasy league.
He's facing the Falcons in that secondary that got lit up by Joe Burrow.
I think PJ Walker could have an opportunity here to stay in the league.
I don't think anybody watching our show cares.
That's just my opinion.
About PJ Walker or my fantasy team?
Both.
Both.
Okay.
So just a quick note, PJ Walker was the fourth string quarterback.
on the Carolina Panthers in August.
Fourth, Matt Corral, they drafted to be third.
This is a good story, Colin.
Give the man some props.
All right.
You don't think anybody cares.
Nope.
Oh, geez.
Is that the move on?
Is that the equivalent of like the music at the Emmys?
Yeah.
Get to the next one.
All right.
Yeah.
Ben Simmons.
He played again last night.
He's played in three games now, Colin.
Yeah.
Ben Simmons, a guy I tried to defend for many years.
He has 17 points on the season and 14 foul.
This is a terrible call against him.
It was awful.
Terrible call against him.
And then John Morant's out there crowing like,
oh, yeah, I got him to foul out.
I mean, come on. That's not a foul on the NBA.
Give me a break.
BS. It's a close physical game.
Some people are going to get hit.
I'm with Ben Simmons here.
This is garbage whistle.
Did Durant? I didn't watch this game.
I watched the first half of the Orlando Magic New York Knicks.
Wow.
Oh, my gosh.
You're watching Orlando Magic in October?
Hey, it was fun.
I hadn't seen the Knicks yet.
Palo Ban Carroll is good.
I watched some of that because I'm a NBA.
Pablo Van Carroll's big.
They're 0 and 4.
I know.
He is big physically.
boys, bad. Anyways, let's get back to Ben Simmons.
Duran had a good game. Kairi had a good game.
They lose. One and two. Ben Simmons is really on the struggle bus.
It's weird. Ben Simmons hasn't played in 17 months.
Looks absolutely terrible.
And then you look around the league. Other guys coming off injury are like,
Damian Lillard had back-to-back 41-point games.
Well, Damian Lillard's a top 50 player ever.
Ben Simmons, isn't it? Well, you guys don't think Damian Lillard's a top 50 player ever?
Look at these people. My staff.
That's not me. That's not me.
Put the camera on the other year.
In the NBA today, in the last five years in the NBA, you need a, you need a three-pointer.
That's the game.
It's Steph or Dame.
That's your only pick.
Okay.
How about this?
I'll go Steph.
Okay, that's fine.
Dame's two.
Dame is two.
In a three-point, in a shooters league in the last eight years, take Steph out.
I need a jumper.
I take Dame two.
He has how many game series?
You're going to tell me he's not a top 50 player ever.
He's going to be.
I'm going to tell you he is.
In the last decade, in a 10-year stretch, if you take out one player in the league, Steph,
he is the best guaranteed big shot guy in the league.
So according to the producer here.
No, the NBA did a top 75 list and they're all drunk.
Well, because Kyrie Irving is on that stupid list.
Kyrie Irving's on the list.
By the way, Alex English led the NBA in scoring in the 80s.
In the 80s.
Didn't Jordan play in that decade?
He didn't make the list.
Kyrie Irving made the list.
For one shot,
Kyrie Irving is living off one shot in the league.
Listen, if you don't think Dame is a top 75 player in the league,
you're not watching the game.
I'm sitting on my treadmill watching the games.
You're not watching the games.
Yes, I would agree.
I'll say, Ben Simmons sat out 17 months struggling.
Zion Williamson did not play a game last year is dominating the league.
Every basket he had is in the paint so far this season.
Nobody can stop him.
Ben Simmons.
Like, what are you going to wake up?
Like, I'm a big Ben Simmons.
guy. Colin, if he's not going to play, this team is going to implode.
Well, Kyrie Irving's going to lose his mind. I don't care about any of his points.
Does he play good defense? Does he distribute? Does he have a plus and the plus minus?
That means he's working. I don't give a rip about his points. I said a guy, if he averaged
for a game but gave me great defense, great distribution, I'm okay. I got points. He's making
like $25 million. You can't have that. What? If I have a one of an elite defender,
an elite distributor, that's not worth 25 large in that league? I think it is.
Well, how was he an elite distributor if Kyrie Irving has the basketball all the damn time?
Well, that's coaching.
That's Steve Nash.
Let's not blame Steve Nash.
You know, we both know him a little bit.
Nice guy.
I don't want you going after Nash, okay?
Okay, all right.
Take it out on Kyrie Irving.
All right, sure.
All right, Jay Mack with the news.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Herd Law News.
This is like one of my life rules.
I don't need everything from everybody.
Some of my friends are party friends.
Some of my friends are travel friends.
Some of my friends are like business friends.
I don't need everybody to be everything.
I don't need Ben Simmons to score.
Defend, distribute, be a good teammate, be coachable.
That's good.
I don't even need you to shoot.
Just hit your free throws if you get fouled.
Give me eight points a game.
Give me eight and a half points a game.
13 assists, best defensive player.
I don't need you to score.
I got Durant and I got Kyrie Irving.
I got Joe Harris.
Do I still have Patty Mills on that team?
I haven't watched them enough yet to know.
They got injuries.
Here's the only problem with that logic.
And I'm largely with you.
if you are not a threat to shoot the basketball at all,
they're not going to guard you the same way nobody's guarding Russell Westport.
You have to guard him because he gets the ball to shooters.
If you're not a great shooter but can get it to shooters,
Chris Paul's not a great three shooter.
He gets it the shooters.
You know, it's just like everything else.
You don't have to be everything.
You don't have to be a great shooter.
But he's a six, ten and a half guy that can put it on the deck,
beat guys off the dribble, either finish at the rim,
which is a high percentage shot, or get it to a shooter.
I'm totally okay if that's his offensive game.
And again, I like Ben Simmons.
We've seen him at the rim pass the ball away because he doesn't want to get fouled because he can't make free throws.
Well, that's a way bigger issue.
That's a psychological barrier that he has to overcome.
You mentioned Chris Paul, Colin.
Have you seen him this season?
No.
I only watch half a game.
He's averaging like seven points.
He can't do anything.
He's getting pulled in the fourth quarter right now in Phoenix.
Well, he is older.
You'll get there someday.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tap Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam J.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick a here, unpack what went down,
and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill,
waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so you all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack,
so I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now, so.
Thank you finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really? Yeah. For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
It's a tough economy, cost to live in skyrocketing, trust legacy precious metals, gold and precious metal investments.
Go to buy legacy gold.com or call 866674 her.
All right, J. Mack, we're going to do buy, sell or hold. It's a game we often play about once every month or so.
What in the NFL do I buy? I think it's a buy.
I buy it. Sell, I don't buy it.
Or let me see a little bit more.
Here's buy, sell, and hold.
Time to buy that for another.
Colin will decide if he'll buy it, sell, or hold.
Now, certainly you've looked at schedules,
injuries, everything taken into account.
Let's start with the second best team in New York City,
the New York Giants.
Buy, sell, hold. Will they make the playoffs?
Hold.
Oh, please.
Okay, they've won. All six wins have been close wins.
Now they've lost right tackle Evan Neal.
They're one of three teams in the league averaging more rushing yards than passing yards.
They're winning on coaching schemes and situational football.
Let's just take a deep breath here.
It's a great story.
They're not a great team right now.
Agreed.
All right.
Buy Sell Hold.
Let's go with the Dallas Cowboys winning.
the NFC least?
That's a sell.
Sell, sell, sell.
They're 29th in total offense, 27th in passing offense.
The offensive line's the worst in a long time.
And right now, Philadelphia is winning this division,
and the Giants look much more buttoned up and well-coached.
Dak, Cooper Rush, it's just, listen, we knew this.
If CD Lamb went down, what's that receiving core?
I think they're very dependent offensively on C.D.
for explosive plays, so that's a sell.
All right, Big Spender, let's get you to buy something.
How about the Philadelphia Eagles finishing with the best record in the NFL?
I buy it.
Buy, bye, buy.
They will not face an opponent with a winning record until week 13.
And here's the thing.
They take the ball away and they don't turn it over.
They look really well coached.
The division's got some wins in it for them.
I mean, again, they just, they do not beat them.
themselves. They've been a little less than perfect in the second half. They're very good on script.
But I don't, I see some losses, but I don't see many of them. You see trouble this weekend against
the Steelers? No, at all. I might. Buy Sell Hold. San Francisco 49ers win the NFC West.
Buy, bye, bye, bye, bye, they're one back of Seattle. Now they get Bosa, Trent Williams back. Now McCaffrey
can be part of the offense. Jimmy Garoppolo, look at the numbers.
has increased his passing yards every weekend.
Now Trent Williams is back for better protection.
By the way, they're 2 and O against the NFC West.
There's a lot of issues.
Theirs are fundamentally solvable.
They've been beat up.
Watch them play really good in the next month.
All right, let's stick in that division.
Buy Sell Holds, Seattle Seahawks, who are four and three.
Will they make the playoffs?
Hate to say it, Sell.
Sell, sell.
First of all, their schedule gets way tougher.
they have the worst yardage differential in their own division.
Their defense is still, despite Pete Carroll, not very good.
It's not very good.
And also, now you've got some tough games coming up.
Giants coming up, Arizona, Tom Brady.
I think they're a great story.
Again, not a great team.
Some of this is sustainable.
I like their offense, their offensive coordinator, their tackles, and Kenneth Walker.
But you can't be bad defensively and keep winning wild games with Gino Smith.
I don't think that's sustainable.
and I do think the Rams are getting healthier and may make a move at the trading deadline.
Metcalf, by the way, looks like he's out this week for Seattle.
I know.
By the way, did you say they are favored by three against the Giants?
It's weird.
All right.
Let's move on to the, back to the NFC.
Minnesota Vikings win the NFC North.
Oh, total buy.
Buy, bye, bye, bye.
First of all, they have a two and a half game lead, huge favorite on Fox Bet.
they're not good enough to blow people out.
They lost all these close games last year.
A lot of them now they're winning the close games.
They're exactly what I thought would come close to, you know, I said, what do they win,
eight last year?
I said, I think they're going to win 12 to 13 this year, which everybody, but I think the
division is, you know, Detroit, Green Bay wouldn't be as good.
So they're exactly what we thought they would be a very good team, not great,
but very, very solid, like the new coach too.
All right, keeping in mind, if you don't sell early enough,
you're going to lose a lot of money.
Buy, sell, hold.
The Green Bay Packers will miss the playoffs.
Hold.
Okay.
Okay.
Because I do think they're considering a move at the trade deadline for a receiver.
But the schedules, you know, now they've got to go to Buffalo.
Here, they've got to go to Philadelphia.
So the schedule, which looked easier about four or five weeks ago,
now some of these teams like Philadelphia, you're like, oh, that's an L.
Aaron tends to figure stuff out.
Remember, the longer the season goes, probably the more comfortable he gets with
young receivers.
He throws to his tight end.
He throws to his running back.
He's just got to get these young guys a little more finely tuned.
I could see them going on a three or four game winning streak.
They're not going to be a great team this year.
That's out.
Special teams, lack of perimeter weapons, but they could be a good team and they could
revert. They could bounce back and be a, you know, a nine win, 10 win playoff team.
All right. Buy sell whole. Tampa Bay Bucks win the NFC South.
Buy, bye, bye, bye, buy. I mean, they were seven and five entering week 13 in 2020 and won the next eight games.
Brady's older. He's going through a personal crisis. I mean, look at the division. I mean, you've got rebuilds everywhere.
Tom tends to figure stuff out. He tends to figure stuff out. By the way, in New England, December was a
month for him. January was a great month
for him. They'll be fine. I just bet the Saints plus
$1,100 to win the division.
Do you think I'm flushing money there? Okay, buy-sell
hold. Buffalo Bill's number one seat
to the AFC.
Buy, by, bye, bye. They're
3-0 against the Rams, Ravens, and Chiefs,
all three on the road. I mean, come on.
They have earned the right to be number one in our
hierarchy. And they've also,
they've started winning the close games,
which I thought was a very, it was
fair to say, they'd lost
like seven straight. They didn't have a run game. They'd get a lead. They couldn't eat the clock.
They have made a point of emphasis being better in close games. And it looks like it's working.
I wanted to save some time for this one. The number 11 team in the herd hierarchy.
By sell hold, the Jets making the playoffs, ending the longest drought in the NFL.
Sell.
Come on.
Okay. First of all, they just lost their best offensive linemen and their best running back.
For an offense where they're essentially hiding Zach Wilson.
And they've lost, here's the other issue.
They have lost 12 of 13 to their divisional opponents.
So Buffalo is going to beat him twice.
Belichick owns young quarterbacks.
And I told you before, I think Miami when Tua plays is a playoff team.
I know it's weird to say because I'm not a huge Tua fan.
He's won 10 of 12 starts.
So you've got to be good in your division.
They're not good in their division.
Forget outside of it.
You've got to win four to five games in your division.
They're not.
And now Elijah Vera Tucker is a huge loss.
He's our best offensive linemen.
We're going to need you at some point to break down the AFC wildcard race because there's nobody good at any rate.
Keep your eye on the Raiders, Slying back.
Who?
The Raiders.
Oh, my goodness.
They're not hiding.
This list.
That's what your staff thinks of this.
The Raiders.
But anyway, buy sellhold.
Denver Broncos finishing the season under 500.
Buy, bye, bye, buy.
It's a mess.
I mean, when you have the worst scoring offense and then you're bad in the red zone,
meaning even when you move the ball, you can't finish the drive.
It's, they lost their.
best offensive lineman their left tackle.
Rumors they're trading Jerry Judy.
It's, hey, I was right on a lot.
I'm wrong.
It's not worked. I do think they'll get better.
But, you know, sometimes you just have to flush stuff down.
You know, I got that one wrong.
I'm okay with it.
The way you answered that, it felt like you're going to go get a danger witch right now
and just eat it quietly and just like stare at the walls.
Well, when I like somebody, I tend not to root for teams.
I root for people.
Like I like Brian Dable.
I have a connection with him.
I like him.
I think he's a good guy.
So it makes me happy they're winning.
I don't know Robert Sala, but I root for, you know, if I know somebody, I root for them.
The team thing, fans root for teams.
I tend to root for people.
You rooting for LeBron?
Yeah, I like LeBron.
Good.
