And Watson is back indoors. That's why it wasn't the Blazing Five. I just, I'm a little leery of, I think Green Bay is going to be better Thanksgiving. By the way, now that Elon Musk took over Twitter, a lot of people are complaining about it from what I can tell. I can't tell the difference. People are saying they can tell a huge difference. I can't, can you? Not yet, but I don't have a good feeling about where it's headed.

Yeah, well, a lot of people, I mean, I, I shouldn't be too glib, but I tend to think he's a smart guy and he's trying to figure out a way to monetize it. A lot of people think he bought it before the elections and he wants to Yeah. Well, advertisers are bailing. So now he wants to charge money to everybody to use it. He's like, let's go free speech. And it's like, okay, fine, free speech. Great. Everybody loves free speech. But when you have 15 million followers and you're shouting insensitive, you know, trying to start fires everywhere, that's just not good. Yeah. I am, I'm, I'm, I don't know the difference. I'm not on it enough to be an expert at it. I don't see any difference. Lucky you. Yeah, well, I mean, people are.

complaining about it already, but my takeaway is I haven't noticed an appreciable difference. I don't, good or bad, I haven't noticed it. But people are, you know, I tend to like change. I like when things get changed and things are a little bit uncomfortable and everybody's expecting it to be perfect. As somebody that now has a small company, you're constantly changing and fluid all the time to just new information, new revenue, losing revenue, gaining people, losing people. The bottom line is my guess is it's going to take a year to implement all the stuff. That's my My favorite part is the media is writing about this a lot. None of them have ever owned any companies.

You and I sitting here, we have had companies. We've run P&L reports. It is very difficult. It's not easy. Yeah, and it's not going to, two days doesn't mean anything. Give this thing like six, eight months, and then you'll see some, like, different. I don't know. I haven't noticed it.

People are already claiming it's radically different. Who knows? Gerald McCoy, six Pearl Bulls, 11 years in the NFL, nine with the Buccaneers. By the way, Tampa, I want to talk about Tampa for a second. Tom Brady obviously had a very difficult situation in. his life, absolutely. And Gerald, in your life, if, I mean, you guys are all in that locker room together and people go through divorces and breakups and there's financial situations. In your career, did when guys go through that, did it affect winning and losing? Did it affect

performance in your years? I believe it can. I believe there's a way to compartmentalize it, but me being married almost 10 years, having five kids at the house, one home is not good. things don't go well at work. You could try your best, but it's really an escape from the real world when you're at work, but you can't help when mama's not happy at home and the house is not happy. It's hard to go home and try and focus and study film and be locked in because it takes a lot to be at the level that Tom Brady is or to be at the peak of your game and stay there. It takes a lot of film study.

It takes a lot of focus, a lot of sacrifice. But when you're at home and you're trying to fix your house, it takes away from your preparation for the game. And you just can't be at your best when you're trying to fix your house. So, yes, it can affect you at work. You know, Miami-TUA put it out there. He said, I think we're a Super Bowl-level team. Did you like that or not? How's that land for you?

Yeah, I heard the sound bite. For him, what he said is, you know, in training camp we've seen type of team we had in the off-season we've seen. type of team we had and around here we're not afraid to talk about Super Bowl. We're not afraid to talk about the playoffs and winning playoff games. Well, and how I feel is, duh, when you got drafted, as high as you got drafted or anybody who gets drafted, they bring you in to win Super Bowls. They bring you in to get to the playoffs. Every opening team meeting, I'm pretty sure every head coach says, hey, we're here

to win a Super Bowl. Well, now it's starting to be more realistic, bringing in Bradley Chubb. He got the huge deal. He was already playing great. They were kind of a middle-of-the-packed defense, but having him sure's up, the defensive side of the ball. You got Tyreek Hills, who's on a historic pace. Tua has won every game that he's finished.

It's realistic, but I don't think that anybody in the building should be up in arms. It's more of a media thing. Like, oh, he said the word Super Bowl. Yes. hey, newsflash, all teams say Super Bowl. And then when things don't start going the way they're supposed to go, then you're like, okay, let's pump the brakes. But they're right in the mix.

So, yeah, he should be saying Super Bowl. So you've been in this league for over a decade. And it's interesting. The Eagles, the Chiefs, and the bills to me just look better, not just the records. I think San Francisco's close, but they're never healthy. But I watch Philadelphia and I buy into it. lot of people are saying they haven't played anybody look at their schedule they're not playing

elite offenses they get leads on these bad teams and play downhill that could absolutely be true schedules do matter Kansas cities played a much tougher schedule than Philadelphia when you watch them with all your experience do you see the elements to put them in buffalo's class today and put them in Kansas City's class absolutely I believe they are in their class I think the first time we've seen actually any blips or slips from Philadelphia was last night. The Texas were missing their top two receivers. So as a defense, you know, hey, we stop the run, get out of the field, it's going to be an easy game for us.

They couldn't stop the run. Right. And that's alarming versus a team like the Houston, Texas, if you can't stop the run knowing they don't have nobody to throw to. Right. And then people have been saying this is the best officer line in the league. They showed a little weakness last. night. Jayla Hertz was getting touched up. So I think because it wasn't so clean, now people

are starting to speculate. Maybe they're not as strong as we think. Yes, they are one of the top three teams in the NFL, but we have something we believe in NFL locker rooms. Real football is played in November and December. We will start to see who's who over the next two months. So I want to ask you about, so teams like Dolphins get Bradley Chub at the trading deadline and Ravens get Roquan Smith and Chase Claypool to the Bears at the trading deadline. So it's interesting when you bring a new guy into the locker room in a season, you know, coaches want to get him the ball, you know, GMs want to make sure the trade works. So there's kind of this Eric Mangini said earlier, when people make big moves, they want to make

sure they work and is Chicago going to force the ball to Claypool? I don't know, but you've been in this league. players that come in in the trading deadline, Gerald, is it a little overrated? Does it take a while? What do you make of it? Do you think, like, does Bradley Chub going to make an immediate impact in your opinion?

Well, it depends on the position. I believe that one thing that a lot of fans will know is, yes, the players do get excited. If you get an acquisition like a Bradley Chubb, you see Tariq Hill's reaction, you know, he was playing Fortnite and you see him lose his mind. You know, people do get excited when you get, because the goal is to win.

And if you know you really have a true shot to win, or let's say your team's been struggling, and then you bring in a piece like Bradley Chubb, yes, you're going to get excited. Yes, if you bring in a Chase Claypool, you're going to get excited because he walks in and you say, hey, he's better than anything else I got in this locker room. And so for a player like Justin Fields,

who's trying to make that second year jump, and he has been playing better. To make it easier on him, you have to put pieces around him so he doesn't have to do so much so early. Let him get established in the league first. Let him get his feet wet, start figure out the game. How do you do that?

You give him a number one receiver. That's who Chase Claypool will be for him. The evidence of how this can work with what a number one receiver can do for you, look at the Philadelphia Eagles. Look at J. LaHertz and how A.J. Brown has made life way easier. Yes, Jaila Hertz has put into work. He's already already been great at running. the ball, but now look at him.

He's throwing the ball well. He's not making as many mistakes. You know why? Because he has a number one receiver that he can rely on. It's opening it up for everybody else, and that's what Chase Claypool can do for Justin Fields. And Bradley Chubb, when he comes in as a defender, you don't

have to know as much. He's an outside linebacker slash D.N. They're going to simplify it for him and say, hey, go do what it is we brought you here to do, and let's get the quarterback. We'll teach you coverages and drops and all this stuff later. This week, go get the quarterback. Finally, Gerald McCoy, 11 years in the NFL six-time Pro Bowler.

Dallas Cowboys, when you look at them and look at the people they'd have to beat, the Minnesotas, the San Francisco's, Philadelphia, do you buy them? Do they have enough firepower offensively? Do you buy it? I do buy it with Dallas because of the defense, though. The defense is playing really, really well. They're going to have to tighten up on the run, but they're one of the top teams were getting after the passer. Now, if you flip back to the offensive side of the ball, what they

did with Cooper Rush when there was this Cooper Rush uproar, and there was a QB controversy, all they did is they simplified the offense. Let's get back to what we do well, run the ball and play action, and then it opens everything up. I think they need to stop trying to

put so much on Dax's shoulders. Yes, you paid him a lot, but when you pay a guy like that, you pay him to win, games. So you make things built around him and how they're supposed to be to help him. Dak is not just a sit in the pocket and beat you with his armed guy. He needs the run game. So simplify, give him the same game plans that you gave Cooper Rush. And the difference is, though, Dak can go win you a game. I don't believe Cooper Rush could go win you the game. Gerald, great seeing you. He's going to be on first things first after our show. thoughtful commentary, buddy, good seeing you. all right thanks family great seeing you great to see you he does make a good point it depends on the position like bradley chubb we lead fourth quarter go get their quarterback although i will tell you weren't i was a little surprised last year by game two how important obj was to the rams i thought you know wide receiver but they already had cooper cup they throw their tight end you know i mean sean's offense is probably semi-complicated offense.

OBJ, by the second game, I don't remember the numbers, but he started catching, he started in the red zone being like a force. I was like, wow. Christian McCaffrey, first game, he got like 10 touches. I was, I got there like Thursday. It was on the internet like viral video Thursday, I arrive in town. Sunday, touches the ball like I think it was eight to ten times. Smart teams, smart coaches.

They know what the McVeigh and Shanahan, two of the best. I want you to check out this weekend, because I won't. I refuse to. I want you to check out Twitter and tell me my Monday if it's changed. Because everybody in the media is climbing, it's just bad now. Well, I'm going to pull out my contract here. That is not in my contract. I do not have to go on that vile social media app.

I do go on it during games. It's fun to just, you know, joke around and get fired up about the jets and stuff like that. on the floor. Yeah, but they're losing to bad teams, like the Orlando Magic. Their defense has been weak. They're losing, yeah, they gave them 130 to Orlando. They lost to Charlotte the other night. It's like, come on guys, but they did have a long playoff run, right? Yes, good point. And then I think they went to Asia for some tour this summer.

Good point. So, you know, that'll wear you down. I think they should be all right. That's a good get. Those are not excuses. Why are you want me on the show, bro? Yeah, that's right. Come on. That tour over there, yeah.

All right. Next up, team, we both like this weekend. Washington commanders, they're not officially for sale yet, but the suitors are starting to line up. There's a report that Jeff Bezos and Jay-Z are interested. I'm in. Perhaps together, if Daniel Snyder decides to sell, the commanders could be worth up to five Billy. That's $5 billion. I would love to see those two on it. That'd be great.

Bezos? Yeah, well, and Jay-Z, it'd be fun. I think it would be fun to own it. Well, I mean, also, let's be honest, addition by subtraction, get Snyder out of there. He's the worst owner right now in pro sports. I would need a moment, but he's certainly up there right now. He and the guy in Phoenix, Phoenix, Sun Guy, Robert Sarver. Yeah. I don't want to say, is Sarver gone yet? I don't even know.

I'm sure people are going to yell out of social media for not knowing. Sorry, I don't know what every owner's status is in every professional. But I think, I think Sarver's, has put it up for say. I don't know. He's got to get, he's getting dust. Somebody, is it in the process? In the process, yeah. So somebody's buying. Probably the Rock or someone like that. So, Colin, do you think a Jeff Bezos-J-Z partnership?

How good is that for the league? That's fantastic. Yes. Fantastic. Great news. Yeah. All right, let's wrap up with the World Series Astros pulled off a win last night. They're up three, two.

Jeremy Pena's three hits. Strong performance from Justin Verlander. Shout out to his brother who works here at Fox, Ben Verlander. a really good dude. Verlander needed that first world series win. And then how about this catch in the ninth inning? Oh, that was great. I see it going to the wall.

Up against the wall. He goes up. Really nice grab. And Houston goes home. One win away. Listen, not a lot to cheer about in Houston with the Texans being a dumpster fire. So this morning I went to Greg Tooey. He's from Houston.

Oh, yeah. He's on the staff here. And I said, Greg, where did you guys get all your pitchers? It's incredible. Yeah. And he went and found me an article that came out, Tyler Kettner of the New York Times, who's a terrific. He's been, yeah, he's been.

And they have an article today, and they talk in great detail about the Astros and they're pitching. It's a fascinating article. Analytics, rolled the dice. I mean, it's just, he just got, like a seven-man rotation. It had seven starters at some point. They could, at some point, they could use seven different guys as starters. Yeah.

Wow. Not bad for the team who was busted cheating by the league. Now, let's, a lot of that is just speculation. Speculation. Okay, it wasn't. Game 6 of the World Series. Tomorrow, 630 Eastern, 3.30 Pacific on Fox and the Fox Sports app. Go Phillies.

He makes his picks. He's a former newspaper guy, so he creates the headlines. he predicts we'll see Sunday night or Monday morning. So tomorrow's headlines today, commanders rattled off three straight, host of Vikings. Yes, this is a fascinating game. I think you picked this one earlier, Colin, and I may be with you.

The headline will be. Cousins gets his heinee kicked. Give me Washington to win at home. Listen, Taylor Heineke, all he does is cover spreads, right? Eight and two against the spread in his last 10. Washington, top five run defense. Off defense. Top five in pressure rate. Why does that matter? Because when Kirk Cousins get pressured, he has not performed well this year. Go back and look at that Eagles game. Just throwing ducks up interceptions. Miami got to him. He couldn't do anything. They were able to pull away and beat Miami's backup quarterbacks. But this is a Washington team that's kind of trending upward, Colin. I don't love Minnesota outdoors. They just look like a slower team. I think there's a good win for Ron Rivera at home. I've been good on Washington this season. The one miss was Tennessee at the goal line. Washington should have won that game. But I like Taylor. Heineke to get it done. Very funny headline.

Tomorrow's headlines today. Ooh, this is a saucy one. Two in the Dolphins against Justin Fields and the Bears. This is a must-watch game. I don't know about that, but you were texting. You like one side strongly in this. I'm kind of with you. We talked about it Monday.

The headline will be Fields Five, foe, fom. Justin Poetic under Chicago Sun. Look at you. How about that? Give me the Bears. Now listen, this was going to be a weather game. The total has been pinging around. But now the weather.

there's clear. However, if you look closely, all these weather sites that track stadium weather, 20 to 25 mile an hour winds are being called for Sunday. Bad weather today and tomorrow, and then the winds are going to still be there. That's going to impact Tua. We saw in the dome last week against Detroit. He's throwing, it's kind of short. Tyree Kills got to stop and wait for it. You know, he's checking his watch. Tua, I know people love him, especially at this network. The arm strength isn't there.

Listen, you can see. He is short on default. Everything, yeah. Waddle and Tyreek have to wait for passes. And Chicago's run game, rounding into form. You love the OC. Over 300 yards rushing as a team the last three weeks. Grounded pound, keep it away from Tua and the potential offense. Bears in an upset.

Can I sell you on that? Yeah, why not? That'd be fun. I took the points, yes. Okay. I am starting to believe tomorrow's headlines today. The red hot Seahawks in Arizona. What say you?

Seahawks are the bane of my existence. I have to shave their insignia in the side of my head. You do. Listen, my family's already told me you can't do that around the holidays. You've got to do it after. If they win this game, I'm toast. The headline will be. Don't worry, be happy.

Arizona comes through for your boy. Listen, I think at this point, Seattle, the hype, this is the max of the market for them, right? Everybody's talking about Seattle. I think you've crowbarred them into the show every single day this week. Well, they be good. Exactly. And now they're seeing that and reading that. And now they go on the road.

Arizona let me down last week. Just a brutal ending against Minnesota. It's painful to be an Arizona fan. But here's what scares me about Arizona. I'm just checking the injury report today. Buda Baker missing some practice. They had four offensive linemen down last week, and Kyla Marie got sack four times. Buda Baker's a good safety, baby.

And, like, that would kill me. But, again, DeAndre Hopkins is back, and I watched the Arizona-Seattle meeting last time. Arizona got in tied the 30-yard line five times. And they couldn't kick because their kicker was out. They missed a field goal with the backup. They missed an extra point. We'll move on, but Arizona needs to come through. I'm going to get on the get rid of Cliff Train just because he costs me money.

All right. Sorry, that's hard. Whoever's doing the headlines this week, let's give him a race. Let's get him a race. Let's go. Your money, baby. Bosses, bosses, find out who it is. All right, tomorrow's headlines today, strangely attractive, Raiders and the Jaguars. I hate to give out this is my biggest play of the week, but I think it is. The headline will be Florida Dags dumbfounded at home.

I like the Raiders and I know nobody likes the Raiders. It's my favorite headline in a long time. You know we've talked about it. Teams that get shut out and then go on the road the following week, they've historically done very well. Raiders get shut out, humiliated by the Saints, but they didn't fly back to Vegas. They stayed in Florida, a little bonding kumbaya session.

You know who does this? Kyle Shanahan does his stuff. Bill Belichick does his stuff. I think the Raiders, Darren appears to be back after missing three weeks. Oh, that's big. Devante Adams is healthy. He had an illness all last week. I'm selling my Jaguar stock.

I was in on them. They look good at two and one. Listen, Peterson's got some struggles there. So you, this is your biggest play of the week? I don't like to give that out. But I am a little over extended on the Raiders this week. So go Derek Carr and Josh McDaniels. Okay.

All right. Chiefs, last time we saw them, won it against San Francisco? It was. They beat their doors off. It was brutal. Yeah. All right. Tomorrow's headlines today.

Titans and the Chiefs. Chiefs. Chiefs are big favorite. Yeah, you know, increasingly looking like Ryan Tannahill may not go, so it'll be Malik Willis on the road, Andy Reid off a bye. The headline will be KC Phone Home, Chiefs from another planet. This is going to be a beat down. I love it. The line's going up.

Colin, think about this. Tennessee, I think is 5 and 2, and they're 12.5 point underdogs. Like, what does that say about the distance between KC and Tennessee? Well, if they're playing a backup, that's tough. Well, listen, Tennessee's also played one of the weaker schedules in the league. guess what happened when they stepped up in class and faced Josh Allen and the bills. Do you remember that game? Bill's pulled their starters in the fourth quarter.

Okay. And they won by like 30. So I think this is just a tall order for a bad Tennessee team. I mean, unless Kansas City shows up with no run defense off a by, can't possibly happen, they should lock up Derek Henry and win with margin at home. Okay. Now, this one is not part of my blazing five. I will tell you, I think I would have gone Bengals, but Bengals were embarrassed on Monday Night Football.

They were, and that's... Okay, so tomorrow's headlines today. Panthers and the Bengals, I tend to like what I consider good teams, often embarrassing loss, especially a standalone loss for the whole country season. Was the whole country trick-or-treating or were they watching the Bengals get destroyed? I mean, I watched that. We watched that game. All right, here we go.

The headline will be Burr-Rot-Rot. Bengals win too close for comfort. So I'll go with a close Bengals win. Bottom line, I bet the Panthers in this one. getting seven and a half. Again, you look at the Bengals injury report, Colin. DJ Reeder, their run stopper, he's out. Now, they're down a couple corners.

Their number one corner, Ousier done for the season. Their slot corner, Hilton, he's out. So Carolina with PJ Walker, with the kid Foreman, who I hope you picked up in fantasy. I know you're playing fantasy football. Foreman is running like a beast these days. I'm just saying, this Carolina team is showing me something. They fire their coach, they trade McCaffrey,

and now they're playing spirit of football. They beat Tampa. They should have beat the Falcons last week. very impressive stuff from Carolina. I think they fight and keep this close. This Bengals team without Jamar Chase looks very limited. Did you notice in that game the Browns didn't have to play the two high safeties? They were able to bring one in the box.

Joe Mixon's got nowhere to go. Yeah. Because you don't respect the speed of or lack thereof of Higgins and Boyd. I think Carolina does the same. Their cornerback, J.C. Horn, he's back. He's a good corner of top 10 picks. Really talented. I think Carolina can be feisty on the road here.

I'll give you credit. First of all, congratulations. On what? The headlines. Oh. Do you do them or somebody in back? I do not. We have a staff, like 12 guys, I think guys and girls put together.

From now on, that was one of the all-time. That was a very good set. Which one of them? The one you liked was, was it Florida, Jags Dumpfounded at home? Or Fields Fifee Fum? I mean, I don't know if anything will top the, what was the Robert Salah one? Salahua. That was really good.

We're patting ourselves on the back here for. You noticed we did not pick the jets. two weeks in a row. I had four straight winning weeks with the Jets, Colin. I'm excited. Not going there. I'm excited this weekend. You know, this is week nine is underway. So you start getting to a point. I like where they put the

trading deadline. The trading deadline is week eight. So it seems to me they moved it back years ago. They moved it. Yeah, they moved it back. Didn't it used to be like earlier? I don't know why I think that. But I like that they move it back because the later a trading deadline

is, the more activity you should get because teams come to terms with we're two and six. We can move. So I like, to me, the trading deadline is such a fun time in the NFL now. I'm just going to tell you right now. I know October

is a great month. March is a good month. November, it's officially underway. It's going to be the greatest sports month of the year. We have college football getting big time, World Series this week, NBA, college basketball starts this weekend and the World Cup later this month, Colin.

this month is going to be incredible for sports. Starting this weekend, I believe. A lot of the things that are happening in sports, some of the things that are happening in sports that are new or great. The frenetic, aggressive NFL trade culture is great for us. Baseball's analytics, I think, are bad for the sport, where there's less activity, less hits, fewer base runners. A lot of people don't like the three ball in the NBA.

But I will say this. when you get to the playoffs, even the teams that shoot the three, sometimes you're looking for baskets. And so I think in the regular season, NBA analytics are get up, get down, get the threes. When you get to the playoffs, it becomes much more situational basketball. I like a lot of the trends that are happening in sports. The trade deadline in the NFL, it's just, it was such a bevy. Tuesday's show was as much fun as I've had. doing this show in a long time.

It's good to hear. I mean, it was just a blast, all these teeth and big swings on big players and and we didn't hear any of them. There was no rumors. They just happened.
