And I know the top four or five teams. You start getting into that 10-12 range, Jets, Patriots, you know, it's tough. Like, I don't know what to do with the Seahawks or the Jets. I do feel like the giants, they are what they are. They do what they do well. So I want to open with Philadelphia. Jalen Hertz and Eagles played the night against Washington. That's right.

You played with Josh Allen as a kid, a rookie. So you played with young guys in your career. Yeah. How surprised are you the leap Jalen Hertz has made from last year to now? Well, I think it all starts with the coaching. I think it starts with the coaching. I thought Nick has done a great job with him and also Howie Roseman, the GM, putting teammates and players.

around them to build that like chemistry and that culture. And it's like when I see Jalen Hertz, he looks like a different player. He looks more confident. The guys believe in him more. He's always had that leadership and even like his running ability. Like he can run, but he's not running a lot like he did last year. He's throwing a ball. I think a lot has to do with like the players. You bring AJ Brown in here and it's like coming from Tanna Hill where everything's not perfect, a big body receiver, catches the ball, break tackles. And it makes a lot easier for the for the player and I love that because most teams and GMs they'll draft the player and just put him in the scheme instead of making the scheme fit him so now we draft this player right they didn't ask to be

here we picked him let's put players around him to make him better to fit his skill set like one thing like Andy Reid I remember when I got to the chiefs and we were just talking about like like um you know coming from Josh Allen he's young guy he's asking about him I'm asking about Pat because Pat arrived to be a superstar he said one thing he did was he went back to his old tapes in Texas tech and seen all the stuff he did well. So he added that, the mixture of that with the stuff he did with the West Coast offense and put it together. I love that because you're going to get things that he did well and implement it until your office draft now. So I love that.

Yeah. I mean, you know, the thing about Jalen, it reminds me a little of Baltimore, where Baltimore took this quarterback that a lot of people doubted, and they said, you know, we're going to, we think it's going to catch, it's going to be hard to prepare for. I think Lamar's hard to prepare for. You don't have a player in your. your roster that can duplicate practice. I think Jalen's hard to prep for. Now, here's the question. A lot of people felt with Lamar, the second time you played them, helped.

Okay, yeah. And I've heard this for people in the NFL. Jimmy Johnson says, what they do is new. It catches you off guard. Yeah. You play them a second time. So do you believe in the second half of the NFL season, people will kind of catch up to what Philly is doing?

That's a great question, right? I just think that it's hard to do, right? because like when people start catching on to what you do best, I don't care who the team is, who the coaches, defense or offense, whatever you do best, when you got to have it as a defense, they're going to do that. Offense, you're going to do that. So I think it's a matter of just, you know, evolving.

Like, I think we'll see different things. I think we'll start seeing more taking shots deep with Jaylor Hurts. So I think it's just adjusting as they adjust. Yeah. I do want to talk about you played with Josh Allen the rookie. I did. Okay. So I remember Greg Cod's,

Co-sell said, Colin, you need to watch this kid in Wyoming. So I watched them against Oregon and Iowa. He was awful. He had a huge arm. And he was playing with Iowa. He was playing with Wyoming. Wyoming. So it was like, you can see how big and strong he was. He was skinny, big, strong kid. But you can see it. Like he had a hose, man. He was just flying things. But I'm like, he is loose. And then it takes Daibu about a year to kind of iron out his wildness. Okay. So then he does. Now Daibu leaves. and I feel like in second halves, he's gotten wild again. Yeah. Is it possible he just misses his coach, the guy that really changed him? Well, you're on to something because when I got there, I remember seeing his kid his first practice. I'm like, whoa. First of all, you see him, he's a big dude, right? He jumps off the screen.

But the thing was more just his accuracy. Sometimes he's very accurate. And then the accuracy was 25 yards down field. You're like, wow. But then there's some plays you talk about where I'm like, whoa, where is this guy throwing a ball? Right. You're right? So his talent was always there.

And then Dayball did a great job. Him and Ken Dorsey, Ken Dorsey was a quarterback coach at the time. Yeah. Well, now he's the coordinator. But the way that they emphasize, you know,

the accuracy, practice over and over again. Repetition. Repetition, for sure. You know, so he looked at good and he got better and better. I don't know if he will say he missed dayball.

I think he's at a level where he's a pro. Like, just sometimes I think, um, as players, especially we're at that type of level and I've been there. It's like, I can do no wrong. right?

You have to go back to the basics. Like, hey, you know what? Maybe I might not try to force things. That's what I feel like. Yeah. It feels like he has to be Superman. I can see that. You know, I do think that last game, I didn't think he played that bad, right?

We talked about, you know, before the show, because like, even like, okay, so the first pick, it was fourth and two. Yeah. I mean, what's he going to do? Like, throw the ball away. So I get that trying to make a play. And then trying to win the game. You're trying to win a game. I would love to see probably a different play or maybe get it back and maybe throw it away.

you know but he's got to take his time a little bit i think sometimes he gets he gets wild a little bit we were talking during the break uh jac was talking with shady and i and we were we were talking about i know that kirk cousins isn't cool but i've said i like my quarterbacks to be a little nerdy i don't want him to me the world's coolest guy right and and i was surprised i said what do you make a kirk cousins and you said you loved him yeah the uncool thing's okay and you can tell like when you watch the videos after the game, right, like the press conferences and what the players say about the player,

about the player, about Kirk, or even on the airplane. When they got the videos, all the chains on, he's iced out, he's showing, you know, like,

that shows that they like him a lot. They care for him and they have a certain bond. And I think it's, it makes it cool because he's not, like, super down cool. That's why I got the jury on him, but I love that about him. Like,

I love a guy that my quarterback that's, he's on time to meetings. He's 10 minutes earlier than everybody else. You know, he sees, when we leave. Even out, he's still watching tape. So I love that at bottom.

I mean, I think that's cool to me in its own way. Yeah. The, you know, it was such a wild day yesterday that one of the things, we talked about this, Salah's first year with the Jets was a mess. Yeah. But he was inheriting an organization that's not historically well run. Yeah, for sure. So Josh McDaniels goes to the Raiders, been pretty bumpy for 20 years.

And a lot of times, like, I watch the Raiders. and I see hope. I'm like, Waller's been hurt, Renfro's been hurt, it's always been a little wonky ownership group. I look at Denver

and I see hopeless. Right. I look at the Raiders and I'm like, Walters never here. Renfro's never hurt. They've had moments. And then Derek,

Derek Carr breaks down at the podium. How do you think that plays to the room? Derek breaking down at the podium? Yeah, see, I will feel that,

right? Because I think the hard work, you know, the time you're put in, day and day out, all the hours, from your family. And then you practice so hard,

you do all these things, and then your results are a loss. Results are a loss. So I feel him, but like he talked about, everybody doesn't go through that. Everybody's not putting them hard hours in. Everybody's not that dedicated. So, I mean,

some people might not even understand his frustration or, you know, how emotionally got and the reason why. Did you get emotional like that at times? Yeah, yeah, especially. I mean, I remember my last year with Buffalo. I was like, like, I think even, yeah, going into that year,

It's like, what are we doing here? Are we trying to win or are we tanking? Like, as I get old, as I'm getting older, I want to win a Super Bowl. I want to win championships. So, I mean, sometimes like, and I think Derek his personality is probably not to go grab a guy and check him. That's right. Or I might, hey, listen, brother, I got to, let's go talk. So I think that's a difference.

But, yeah, I've been like that plenty of times, yeah. So yesterday, Green Bay, finally, we've been saying this for a month, just run the ball 30 times. Right. So go back to your career. You ever been in one of those games? I think, actually, you may have been on Philly. Were you on the Philly team that went to Lambo and ran it down their throat? Yes.

Yep. I remember that. You guys punched them in the forehead. Yeah. When you're in one of those games and you are just physically imposing your will. I thought Green Bay is like, no, no, we're just going to keep running it. I think it's a little demoralizing. It is.

Go back to your time in the NFL when you know you can get five years. yards. Yeah, it's just, and then like you keep running it and running over and over and over again. So you stop it. I mean, and then the best part is like you break the wheel. When like the defense, listen, they don't run the ball the whole game. That's all we're going to do. And you know it. And we're in the huddle. You're in the huddle. You know the next place coming out this huddle is a run and you can't stop it. That's the best thing in football. And you iced the game out like that. Like we watched that game to the Packers. I mean, like, I've never seen an offense, not in the Packers history, that conservative. I think. Aaron had like 11 passes in three quarters.

Yeah. They just ran the ball the whole time. That's how they have to win. That's okay, by the way. That's how they have to win. Until you play a team, like my birds, where we're not just letting you run the ball up and down the field. You have to throw the ball.

Right. Well, they're not going to beat Philadelphia. That's a whole... Do you miss playing for the Eagles? You know what? I didn't really miss plan once I retired, but I just went to the game. They played Dallas, actually.

And that was the first time since I've been retired. Like, wow, I really want to get out of the game. in play. Just the environment, I think the team, the team's lights out, you know, the well put together. So, yeah. The city just loves. Oh, my God. When you were starring for them, you made six Pro Bowls. What is it like being a star for the Philadelphia Eagles? You know, it's a football town. Like, and the cool thing is, like, you've seen that the Phillies were in the championship, right? So, like, imagine playing then and the Eagles are playing now. And they're both playing really, really well. The city's on fire.

You know, I remember even when they won a championship and I wasn't there, the Eagles, on Broad Street, it was crazy. I remember looking on social media, and I was just imagining, wow, if I was on this team, what would it be like? So this is a great time, and I think, like, when both the teams are playing well and do you add in the Sixers playing well, the whole city's on fire, it's a great time.

So I'm not a big fire the coach guy, but off a buy, off a buy. Denver couldn't get to the Red Zone, rush for sick. Yeah, that was ridiculous. So have you ever been in a locker room where everybody in the room knew are coaching it? It's time up. The time is up. His time is up.

I watched on, even before the by week, like different games were the clock management. Like every coach I've been around, especially the good ones, they have somebody that manages the clocks, okay? Even like, so let's say, I don't know, two minutes left in a quarter, going to the two minute, two minute drill,

going to the half. You have a clock guy, to manage that. Letting the coach know, hey, Andy, you know, if we get our kicker is the best at, you know, 40 yards, 50 yards. This is managing everything, the clock and the field position, et cetera. And when I watch his games, they don't have that. He's always not using a time out or one time he had the kicker and position a kick of a field goal, they don't do it. Then he elects to go for it. It's like, he's all over the place. It's time. And then the by week, you have all this time to prepare. And Tennessee had five defensive stars, half of the Tennessee Titans defense didn't play.

I think they also had a defensive player injured during the game. So 50% of their defense is not playing. Yeah, that's ridiculous. His time. And good to guys know it in the locker room? Yeah, I mean, I've been there when we had Chip Kelly. And you knew. Yeah, after later in our first year, going to my second year there, it was time.

I mean, you got like, the guy like Jason Peters is probably the best player on the team. And we had, we're going fast tempo. And there was times where guys, hey, coach, we need a break. Sure. Older players. Older players. Everybody has like a committee, an older group, like the captain committee. Coach, we need a break.

Guys are beat up, retired, et cetera. And he wouldn't listen. And we would sit in that locker room and look at each other like, listen, his time is, his days is numbered. So I understand. I'm sure Denver's going through that. Yeah. All of our days are numbered. I wouldn't want shady looking around at Cowherd.

His days are numbered. I want to do it. I want to do it. But I get it. Let's start working too hard now. Hold up. We need a break. No, I get it, though.

I get it. There's an old saying, Billy Martin was a baseball manager years ago. He said 10 of the players love you, the 25. 10 love you, 10 hate you. Right. Keep the five that are undecided away from the guys that hate you. That's right.

Okay. They don't loosen it up. Like they come in with a game plan and they run it. But in the second half, they're 24th in the league in scoring. Dude, let him breathe. Let Garoppolo throw it down the field. They're tied to that sheet. They treat him like a rookie, like the way they throw the ball with him.

Like a million screens. It's like, you know what I mean? Like, it looks like it. Like, we don't want to throw the ball with this guy. That's, we talked about that earlier. All right, let's get to the NBA. The Lakers were missing LeBron. He did not play Sunday night due to a groin injury.

AD stepped up. Guy Collin wants to ship out of town. Anthony Davis, 37 and 18. I would move him today. Perfect time. They're showcasing AD. He dominated, I don't know, who's that, Nick Claxton. I don't even know who.

Ben Simmons did not play. Kyrie Irving, still not with the team. Lakers got to. win. They are now three and ten, I believe. There you go. Second worst in the NBA. I didn't. I didn't. I just saw highlights this morning. You didn't miss much. Although Russell Westbrook, shout out,

doing a great block of Kevin Durant. I saw that. That's why I saw. And that wraps up our NBA story back to football. And this is sad news. Colin Cooper Cup, injured Sunday in the loss to the Cardinals. It does not look good. Initial testing showing he avoided

a major injury, but there's an MRI scheduled for shortly. McVeigh sounded very somber talking about it. I think the season's over for the Rams, we can agree. They're not making the playoffs. They're not getting a wild card. They now have to have, I think they have to take a big swing and move some pieces. They need to get a first round pick. I think they have a second and a third.

They do not have a first. In the trade for golf, so the Detroit Lions, that could be a top ten pick, depending how long Stafford is out. Because the Wolf of Wall Street, John Wolford yesterday, he didn't look great. I just saw a highlight to this. watch the Lakers or the Rams and I live in L.A. You've got no Cooper Cup. Are you going to sell low on Alan Robinson?

No, I think I'm keeping Aaron Donald, Cooper Cup, Stafford. I'm thinking of moving some pieces. I think the story arc here, it peaked, it's coming down. I think they have to get younger, and I think they have to get faster. Are you looking to shop Jalen Ramsey?

I think you could get a one for him. He's great. my takeaway here is you've got to get faster offensively. They're just not dynamic enough. And I'm watching these teams like Minnesota and Cincinnati and Kansas City and it's like speed guy, speed guy, speeds guy. And they don't have the draft picks. Alan Robinson, Van Jefferson and Cooper Cup, I need a couple of Darius Tonys.

I need some movement back there because they're out on Cam Acre so they don't have a dynamic back. Their tight ends good. but he's not, he's not Kelsey. They just, they need more pop offensive. By the way, Aaron Donald was on a milk carton yesterday, did nothing. Now, I know he gets excited to play Kylo Murray, but it was against Colt McCoy, who's related to Shady McCoy.

That was the craziest thing he ever told me. Anyway, final story, Colin, Eagles commanders tonight. Week 10 wraps up. Eagles 8-0. Average margin of victory just over 11 points. They have not trailed yet in the second half of any game this season. Yeah. According to Fox bet, the line is Eagles.

favor by 11. They won the first meeting 24 to 8. It was kind of a weird game. Eagle scored all their points in the second quarter. Nothing else the rest of the way. I have bet the under in this one. Divisional matchups, for sure. You've got to go with the under. You take an aside or total? Listen, if you look at the games yesterday, a lot of dogs, none of mine, but a lot of dogs cover. I just took all the wrong dog yesterday. But if you're giving me 11 points divisional game, I would probably take Washington in the under. I think they lose by about 10. I was just seeing a couple of reports online. Chase Young not expected to play.

I mean, they've been waiting for this guy for a while, the former Ohio State Star. He's not going to suit up tonight. But Washington's run defense could give Hertz and companies some problems, so it's going to be a pass game. And I think Washington's decent, and this is closer than the experts thing. I mean, if I said to you, it's going to be 28, 23, 28, 20. That's a little high scoring for my liking. Okay.

20, 24, 20 Philly. 27-20 Philly. How about that? About more along, 23-13-ish, 23-10. I don't see Washington scoring a lot. And Taylor Heineke, you know, he cost me money last week against the Vikings' fourth quarter with that interception. So I'm not backing him again.

Yeah, we both lost that win. I'm just taking the wrong dogs. I love my dogs. None of my dogs are barking. This upcoming week, I mean, stop me if you've heard this before. This coming week is going to be insane in the NFL. College football as well, the big matchup you will be going to. USC UCLA?

Yeah. Big deal. It's got to be a huge game. Huge. Could be a playoff ramifications. Absolutely. By the way, I told you the ducks, a little whiff of fraudulence. I told you they were.

Football forecast AFC edition. You ready? Of course. Born ready, baby. Here we go. Let's start with the Miami Dolphins. What's the forecast for the Miami Dolphins for the remainder of the season? I know you're going to think this is crazy.

It's clear skies. Here's why. Tua is 14 and 1 in the last 15 games he's finished. Now, three of the next four are on the road, but the chargers and bills are uneven. The Niners are beatable, and they're on a four-game winning streak. I buy into Miami. I had them as a playoff team.

They're better than I thought. Clear skies ahead. Wow. Okay. Buffalo Bills. What's the forecast for Orchard Park, New York? Well, appropriately, a little cloudy. Yeah.

Partly cloudy. Here's my concern. Haven't scored a TD in the second half since week six. Wow. They are lost two and nine record in one score games since the start of last season. Too many small mistakes. Too many little nuances need to be corrected. still going to be bumpy.

Okay, let's get to a really good team on the uptick. What's the forecast for the New York Jets, the remainder of the season? Little stormy. Okay, here's my concerns. At Patriots, at Vikings, at Bills, at Seahawks, at Dolphins. Five of the final eight are on the road, and they're going to have to score some points in those games. They're facing some pretty interesting offenses. I think you get a little stormy.

They'll be battling to the end for a playoff spot, but a little stormy. Okay, let's get to the Kansas City Chiefs. What's the forecast in Arrowhead? Kansas City Chiefs. Well, I think we have to be honest here. It does appear to be clear skies. What do you want me to say? Second easiest remaining schedule, won five of six.

They're pretty healthy. And they face Denver and the Raiders at the end. So some of their toughest games have already happened, that Buffalo game, which they lost. But I feel very good about where they're going. Boy, they would have to slip up for the bills to get the number one seed. I don't see that happen. All right.

Forecast for the L.A. Chargers for the remainder of the season. You and I have our questions about Brandon Staley. I think it's partly cloudy. Here's what worries me about the Chargers. They'll face the top three seeds in the AFC over the next five games, the Chiefs, the Dolphins, and the Titans. Now, now the reason it's not stormy, Keenan Allen, they're going to get back.

Mike Williams are going to get back. I think a lot of their problems have been the unavailability of their top two receivers. So I do see, and remember, the Raiders are a mess and Denver's a mess. I can see the chargers getting healthier at Whiteout and making a run. The schedule's tough, but they've always matched up pretty well with Kansas City. They play them tight. For all the Herbert bashing, he was down both of his starting tackles and his top two receivers against San Francisco on the road. And very competitive with four minutes to go.

They were in that game. So I see light for the Chargers coming up. All right. I don't know if this is tornado hurricane, but the forecast for the Denver Broncos. Nothing but stormy. I mean, they have two games left with Kansas City. They've missed the playoffs in six seasons. Forget draft picks at the top next year.

I mean, just look at this offense. Say what you want. It's Derek Carr. It's Lamar Jackson. It's Mahomes. It's Kyler. It's Mahomes. It's Herbert.

That's why you got to just give Dom Capers the job. This thing ain't getting better. To be that inefficient off a buy week didn't get a trip to the red zone. I mean, it was just one busted play. You would think in a buy week you'd come out with new packages. Nothing. Nothing new. Nathaniel Hackett is not a head coach.

It's okay. He can be a good coach. He can make a huge living. I mean, this is a big payday for him. He's set for life. but something's missing. You can't come off a buy and give me that. You talk about always getting rid of your mistake quickly.

Listen, if I was messing things up on this show the first month in, you would have replaced me in a heartbeat. Get Nathaniel hack it out of there. So I could stop killing my wallet. If you were giving me nothing but hockey scores for a week, you'd have been out of here. All right, let's get to, boy, if it was stormy for the Broncos, what the hell is the weather for the Raiders?

Well, it's stormy. Listen, only the Texans have a worst record. They face the Niners and the Chiefs to close out the seasons. So the number one scoring offense and number one defense. I will say this. It's going to be bumpy down the stretch because you can just see the teams they play. Now, Rams, Patriot Steelers in a row got a shot. I think they'll win games.

I mean, I think they'll probably win three games. You sure about that? We're the three wins there. Denver, Rams, Steelers. But here's the problem. Pittsburgh get home. It's going to be frisky. They could get doused by the others.

So I do not think they should fire the coach. The Rams won the Super Bowl. They stink this year. It's the NFL. They'll be fine. I would take the Raiders situation this morning over Denver's. Absolutely. I get Devonte, Carr, Jacobs, Waller Renfro.

And I got draft picks. Sounds like Jacobs could be on his way out of town. They did not give him the extension that he wanted. You part with Waller, Jacobs. You're basically resetting the franchise, which might not be the worst thing in the world. The only problem is you're putting it in the faith of Josh McDaniels. But they have a good draft pick. Denver doesn't. That is fair. And so I got a first round pick. I can go get a star. Could be a quarterback. Raiders have whiffed on a few first

round picks in recent years. A few. Like almost all of them last six, seven years it feels like. All right. Let's get on. Let's move on. I don't know. Cincinnati Bengals? What's a forecast like for your Cincinnati Bengals? Somewhere between sunny and partly cloudy. They got a lot of road games coming up. I think they can at Steelers, at Titans, at Bucks, at Patriots, you know, they close out the year against the Bills and Ravens. So they're at home. They face really good teams. The Bengals will be one of those teams.

When they get into the playoffs, if or when, we'll know what they are. Because they're facing a gauntlet of good teams. We'll know exactly. That's what I always struggle with college football. Is Michigan good? I think they are, but they're crushing bad teams. Like Cincinnati's schedule, you'll know exactly what they are in about a month. And my guess is somewhere between sunny and partly cloud.

That Brown's game is against Deshaun Watson, I believe. And we don't know when Jamar Chase is coming back. I have not seen any updates. They need him badly. All right, let's move on to the Browns, Colin. I don't know why they're on this list, but what's the forecast in Cleveland? Partly cloudy, but storm moving in. They've lost five of six.

DeShon Watson comes back. So four of their final six opponents currently have a losing record. do them. If you look at the end of the season, it's Kenny Pickett, Taylor Heineke, Andy Dalton. They could close the season with three wins. Now, they got Lamar Jackson and Burrell before that, but the Texans are on there. And frankly, they're facing Buffalo at the right time. Buffalo played a long, exhausting emotional game. You can see both the Vikings and Bills not quite coming out of the gate next week. So I think there'll be some wins for the Browns. They face some bad teams at the end, and they'll pick up some WUs.

You just gave away one of my early bets. Cowboys Vikings? I already laid it with Dallas. Oh, no, Dallas is going to, that's a... Shh. Don't tell anybody. All right. Let's keep it between us. What's a forecast for the Pittsburgh Steelers? Okay. Rest of the season. Partly cloudy, they lost six of eight.

Nice win yesterday, at home off a by. And they're in last place. But they haven't had a losing season. I would say this. A lot of those games at the end, Baltimore may rest, Lamar Jackson. It's Cleveland. It's Panthers. It's Atlanta. It's the Colts.

I think they're going to pick up a few wins. Here's what I think with Pittsburgh. They're going to go into the offseason feeling like we've got our quarterback. He's going to have a few wins. They're going to feel very positive about Kenny Pickett with limitations. But I think they'll pick up some Ws here at the end. I don't know if that's the best thing for them. All right, Colin we'll wrap up with the, is this right, the Indianapolis Colton, Jeff Saturday.

Second hardest schedule remaining. Very stormy. I love the Jeff Saturday story. But I mean, they face a lot of winning teams down the stretch.
