What a stunning part of the world.

Makes me want to go there. Have you been there? So, no, I haven't been to Cologne. I think Berlin is one of the great world cities, like an international metropolis, great food. But Germany has, this has been on fire throughout the Eros. I mean, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, Berlin. It's been awesome. Really, really cool.

I just had an Uber driver that was in the military and based in Germany. And I said, how's the food? He said, they're not into seasoning that much. He goes, but the beer's spectacular. The beer is great. You know, he was there for four years. And we talked on the long drive about it. And that's one of the great things when you watch, like the years.

euros, which got incredible ratings. It's a little bit like the travel channel. You're getting to watch different parts of the world. And a lot of Americans travel. In fact, I've been saying this now for a couple of years as people bemoan and lament the economy. We just broke another record. Every plane I'm on is absolutely packed. So what that tells me is the economy is not in the tank, may not be on fire.

It also tells me people like to get out there and see the world, which I think is an incredibly great thing. So, all right, Lane John. I didn't know Lane Jain Jain. He's the best right tackle in the NFL. He's going to be a Hall of Famer. I didn't know he sang. Apparently he was on stage with Zach Bryan. Are you a singer? Did you add Lib? Did you take a drama class, a music class at Oklahoma?

Are you a singer? No. I learned how to read the lyrics before I went on stage so I could know it. Yeah, this whole venture started with the Christmas album with Jason Kelsey, a few years ago, so that's how my singing adventure started. For the record, you know, Kelsey is such a unique guy. He's probably the best center in the last decade, and now he's no longer part of that offensive line.

You are the leader. You're the physical, emotional leader. Tell me, Chip Kelly and I had this discussion over a beer one time when he got to coach the Eagles about Kelsey and about just how dominant he was and how smart he was. Can you replace a guy like that? Not to that caliber. I mean, he's a truly unique player.

I think when you look at his skill set, what he's able to do in space. And really, like you said, how smart he was. He's a guy that can see if a game plan is going to work, you know, Wednesday or Thursday of a week. So, you know, Cam Juergens coming in, a tremendous talent, really played well at Wright Guard Force last year. So he's going to slide to center.

second round pick out of Nebraska a few years ago. So really excited about him. I think, you know, Kel's had a lot to do with us drafting him as far as watching his tape and analyzing what Cam was. So, you know, I think Cam's going to be great in his own right.

And, yeah, we're excited about camp this year, but definitely going to miss the big guy. I know he's going to be working a few days out of the week, but definitely would like to have him in the building a few days out of the week if I did. He's one of the good ones. By the way, Callen Moore is the new offensive coordinator.

What do you expect? What in your mind right now, Lane, what are you thinking about, hey, this is what it's going to look like? What's the adjustment like based on his style? What do you think it is? Yeah, so, I mean, the playbook far as terminology, a lot of similar plays, but I think Kellan does a good job of mixing up tempos. So a lot of times, he likes to press the gas pedal and a fast-paced offense. obviously has different tempos of how he attacks things.

But I think when you look at his body at work, he's had great years in Dallas. And, you know, for him doing what he did as a player at that high level shows how smart he is. So I know watching it from afar, I feel like Dallas has been very efficient, you know, whenever he was there, you know, quick game, times ago tempo and did a good job

of mixing up the running pass. So very balanced point of attack. Lane, from Oklahoma to Philadelphia, those are two of the most intense places to play football in America. The expectations that both are through the roof. It's a lot. A lot of guys, that's a lot of pressure. And those pressurized situations, you in both places have risen to the very top. Oklahoma and Philadelphia aren't for everybody.

I mean, there's a lot of demands. take me to what Philadelphia, what it creates, because I think there is, Philadelphia is different. Now, Green Bay is different because of the small town, there's no ownership. Philadelphia games feel different than other cities and other games. And can you compare it to anything? Take me there. You just feel, you know, bottled up energy whenever you land there,

especially in our football season. It's something that they anticipate all, you know, year-round. discussed a lot during the offseason, and really that's really the pivotal focus. I think they did a survey. They could keep the Eagles or eliminate all the other teams. They would keep the Eagles and eliminate all the other teams they could. I think Philadelphia, Oklahoma, both are very high pressure, but I think as a player, you can use that to your advantage.

It's going to keep you hyper-focused. It's going to demand for you to be a player that you need to be. But, yes, very intimidating walking into Philadelphia. as a rookie. Just, it's hard to describe it. You're in a magnifying glass, but at the same time,

whenever you're winning, there's no place better. It's highly celebrated. And just, the best way to describe it is just very, very intense. You can fill it in the air every August, every September,

whenever we start off. So last year, last five of the last six games did not go your way. It was an ugly end to a season last year. And again, in a highly pressurized place like Philadelphia, sports talk radio,

progressive, relentless media, it gets ugly fast. Take me to the end of last year. In your opinion, what happened? I think we had trouble making in-gave adjustments. You know, some bliss packages, we had a hard time, especially in that Tampa Bay game. I think when you really go and watch that, that was kind of the, you know, last two raw for us,

but it just seemed ugly. I feel like the effort was never a problem, but we were just very frustrated as to why things weren't rolling our way. That's the best way I could to describe it, but it felt like the practice, the effort was never the question. It just felt like what we were doing collectively, obviously wasn't making a whole lot of sense

and really was a tell of two teams. But even when we did have the record of 10 and 1, a lot of these games were very tight games and could have gone either way. But you can look back at some of those games and feel like you left two scores, three scores on the board. And that's kind of how it felt all season.

You're going to get a lot of Hall of Fame votes. Last three years, you've only allowed three sacks. What brings you back to playing? You could stop right now. Legacy set. You've made a great living. Why do you come back and play? I love it.

I love the struggle of football, just the demand that's placed on you every week. I feel like the bond that you create with your guys is so unique. And their brotherhood is what I miss. But I do enjoy the people. that I play with. I enjoy my coaches. And it's something that I've done for a long time. So, you know, when I think about the grand scheme of things, I think I can play a few more years at a high level.

There's obviously, you know, things that you look at every season and you try to make adjustments to become a better player. So that's where I'm at. And I feel good. I think when you see the old line position, there's guys that have played very well in their mid-to-up or 30s. And I think, yes, it's just one of these experiences. you only have a short amount of time to really achieve all you can.

And so that's what I'm doing. But, you know, I've had great mentors, Jason Peters, Kelsey Cox, and had played at a high level for a long time. So, you know, I've had a lot of help. This weekend, you're doing your annual offensive line masterminds event. Explain what that is and why you do it. Yeah, so why I'm doing it, I remember, you know, only played two years of tackle in college.

And so when I was coming into the league, I didn't have a whole lot of notoriety on who was who, how the game was played. I was a skilled position player my whole time. So, you know, after a few years in the league, one of my friends reached out to me, Duke, Manny Weather, and was like, I would love to get the guys in one room and talk ball, especially before training camp. So we started out with 27 years ago in the room. I think there's going to be close to 350 this year. But really, you can get some of the guys that have played the game, the best that's ever been played. and really pick their brains.

And I feel like as a young player as an older player, when you get that amount of wisdom in one room, you can really take a lot in. And that's what's happened. You get guys that talk about how they played their games, you know, back decades ago, some things, how they attacked the run game, the past game. So just really a lot of great discussion with all these guys in one room.

Finally, Sequin Barkley, I just think it works. I think Sequan's never, he's had the miscaron. fortune of not having a great offensive line. And there's not many in the sport. Philadelphia, Detroit, Atlanta, I think,'s got a pretty good offensive line. I think you're going to see this year, I think the Rams have really attacked

the interior guard, center guard of their own line. How does it change lane for you? I mean, Sequin hits the hole faster, but does it matter to you? You obviously benefit. Your PFF grade may go up, but what do you think about when you think of San Juan Berkeley is an eagle?

Just amazed that he's even on our team. I think when you look at him. Yeah, I mean, honestly, when you look at him, he's a generational talent. He's a guy that's 230 pounds, 235. He can flex out wide play receiver, so just very dynamic. But for me, guys like that can make you look a lot better

than maybe than what you are. I feel like we'll find our rhythm in camp. We've already learned a little. they're in OTA. It's kind of his running style. But those guys like that, they can, they don't need much. So I'm excited to get him started this year. And yeah, man, he's just one of those guys that really wows you from the first moment that you see him. So, yeah, I know he's definitely, he's definitely ready for a big year.

Yeah, it doesn't happen very often in the NFL that you steal your rival's best player. Your first react, when the first time you grabbed your phone and saw Sequin Barclay to the Eagles, were you surprised? Yeah, I couldn't believe it. It was one of those things. I mean, I've been to the NFL for a long time. I've seen some crazy things happen. But, yeah, like you said, to get a rival player on your team, definitely going to be exciting.

I mean, there's going to be some two games that I know he's circling. But, yeah, just one of those things. NFL is a crazy business, and the longer I played, the less surprised I am. Good luck against the Packers in Brazil on your opener. Now, I would imagine, Jordan, you've traveled a lot. Brazil can get a little steamy at that time of the year. How many days in advance do you guys leave for that game? Are you leaving five days out?

Yeah, so I think this is a Friday game. We might leave maybe Monday. I'm not sure I haven't seen the schedule. I know when we played London a few years ago, we left only a couple days before. So either way, it's a business trip. I really don't know what to expect. I've heard, you know, to talk about the jersey color and they don't like green there. But, you know, who knows?

Both teams are mainly green, so we'll figure that out. And really, I know it's around a 10 to 12-hour flight. So once we get over that, I would prefer to go earlier in the week just so we can maybe see some things. seeing you. Congrats on everything. Stay healthy and we'll see you against the Packers. Jordan with the news. No, no, no, no. Turn on the news. This is the herd line news. Colin, the bears have had a lot of hefty expectations after drafting Caleb Williams' first overall, loading up with offensive weapons this offseason. The pressure will also be on Matt Iberflus, the head coach, to make things work with all the additional pieces.

And Vegas odds makers have made him the favorite to win Coach of the Year at Plus 800. The rest of the field is also pretty interesting. Robert Sala plus 1,100, Harbaugh, plus 1100, Lafleur, Rahim Morris, and D'Amico Ryan's at plus 1300. At Coach of the Year? Plus 800. Sala? Well, Sala is plus 1100 who's right after him. So your favorite team and your favorite quarterback, I'll tell you this, Matt Eber Fluse, it felt like last year throughout most of the season, was in hot water.

So I'm going to give you, I'm going to, I'll say this, plus 800 seems very, very short. Jim Harbaugh makes a ton of sense, and so does Matt LaFleur, because they have elevated quarterback play. But Eber Fluse has Keenan Allen and Romo Dunzee, and I believe O'Dunzee and Williams is, going to be one of the best young duels in the league from day one. They have a very good defense. They got Montez Sweat and Jalen Johnson locked up. New offensive coordinator. Luke Getsy, no longer there. Well, there's a lot of projecting here. This is a lot of... I'm going to go Rahim Morris, I really like, and plus 1,300 because you got...

Well, his big advantage of that the weakest schedule in the league. Week schedule, but also, to your point, really good offensive line. Year 2 with Bijon. Drake London is prime for a big breakout year. I think a really talented young receiver. Robert Solop. Nothing against him, but plus 1100. That's all about Aaron. That's all about Rogers. That's it. And I mean, obviously the weapons are there. We've talked about Bruce Hall and Garrett Wilson. Kind of. That's weird. Best case in arrow for the Jets. Best case. When the division, win 10, 11 games. No, 10 and 7. Aaron's upright, plays all the games. The offensive line takes a while to get it going. But they establish some offensive identity. They'll have a defensive identity. Most of the good teams, in the league. I mean, that's really what's hurt the Buffalo Bills. They've been talented offensively, but what's

been their identity? Like, I honestly felt... They're just Josh Allen. Yeah, just Josh Allen's talented. That's not an identity. The Rams, Kyle Shanahan, Kansas City, Buffalo, I felt last year, it's like the tight end,

cook the running back. I'm like, oh, they're running the ball now. Here's an identity. The Jets have no offensive identity. Aaron's talented doesn't count. So, to me, if he's upright, in the offensive line, Tyron Smith, let's say, stays healthy, and they're kind of, they're explosive. Aaron's moving, Garrett Wilson, some big plays,

Breece Hall's popping big runs, and you feel like, oh, it's a big play offense. You know, not the best offense, but it's a potentially big playoffice. And there's a little bit of an offensive identity. That's the best. But this is not a 13-win team. It's not a 12-win team. But I do think that the Jets can outscore people. And then with leads, with that defense that we know is pretty much shut down at all three levels.

I mean, they have a great cornerback duo with DJ Reed and Sauce. They have linebackers. I don't worry about that side. Okay, so I'm saying if Rogers plays well, not even great, let's say Aaron plays really well or pretty well. Let's say he's a top eight to ten quarterback this year. Let's say he's the ninth best quarterback in the league. They're 10 and 7. That means they're playing ahead and they have their deal.

defense closing out games, that's a successful team. That's a dangerous team, in my opinion. Middle to the end of that schedule is rough. It's tough. I do think Brees Hall this year sky rockets in his third year. Yeah, I think he's going to really, really take off. The Summer Olympics are around the corner, but there's one sport that won't be featured this summer, but will be added for 2028.

Right here, Colin, in L.A. Flag football. Joe Burrow recently said, quote, he really wants to play for the Olympic team wants to reunite with former LSU receivers Jamar Chase and Justin Jefferson. Burrow also added it would be quote embarrassing if the U.S. did not win the inaugural gold medal. Colin, should NFL players want to play flag football in the Olympics? There's no way in the world.

I'm letting Joe Burrow play flag football in the Olympics. There's not a chance. I like it though. Oh, I mean, did we all play flag football in high school to college or whatever? I mean, it was some of the best college memories outside of cheap beer was flag football. Okay, so here's my thing. If the U.S. doesn't win the gold, if we don't send our best players in 2028, this is like Canada and hockey not making it out of the group stage. It's like France, not sending Mbapé to the Euros.

I think it's important. The Olympics, Colin, we talked earlier about Kauai Leonard withdrawing from Team USA. And Derek White being his replacement. We also mentioned Jalen Brown did not seem too pleased with getting snub, putting out a cryptic tweet with three monocle emojis. Colin, how big of a myth? There it is right there. How big of a miss was not selecting reigning finals MVP, Jailen Brown? Well, he's a better player than Derek White.

So you have three other Celtic teammates. It's just weird. He was the Eastern Conference Final MVP in the finals MVP. You have three other Celtic teammates on Team USA. So I think Jaylen's great. It's a weird thing. Is it a chemistry issue? I don't get it.

I don't get it because I was really happy about Derek White. And then all of a sudden it's just weird. But also. What's the explanation? Well, the explanation to me, I don't know, but I'll tell you this. In October, Jalen Brown talked about how honored he would. He said, this is a quote, playing for USAB, I think there's no greater honor. Being able to participate would be great.

So throw out the whole he wouldn't want to play. Jalen Brown clearly wants to be a part of this. It's so odd. So let's look at the team. Yeah, it's a very good team. Okay, so they have, let's look at the guards. Steph Curry, Booker, Drew Holliday, Anthony Edwards, Halliburton. Okay, so their argument is we've got five guards.

We can't have a six. Yeah, but Jalen Brown is, he can play center for them. He can do anything. It, to me, it's like, it's weird that he got in a, over Drew Holiday, but again, the construct of this is maybe they just want a less offensive player and more of a defensive player in Drew Holiday. I thought Jaylon Brown throughout the playoffs was the best perimeter defender. So by the way, when everybody pushed back on Caitlin Clark on the woman's team.

Right. Well, she's not one of the best players. Well, Jalen Brown's one of the eight best players, 10 bests. He's better than guys on this team. Why isn't Jalen Brown? because Olympic teams you get to the middle and end of the roster it can be a chemistry play

a political play a business decision like if I'm Steve Kerr I want Devin Booker on that team I don't want Devin Booker to think I slide at him is I've got to play Devin Booker as a coach of the Warriors multiple time I want to take care of guys yeah so it's all Caitlin Clark

is not as good first of all she's better than Diana Tarragona She's better right now. At this point. Absolutely. And she's good for business. So go look at the men's team.

Jalen Brown, the finals MVP, the Eastern Conference MVP is not on the team. There's got to be some chemistry thing here or political thing. It doesn't make any sense. It doesn't. Because he wants to be on the team. And not only that, he adds tremendous value. I don't know if there's a more versatile wing right now in the, I mean, he was unreal. Without him, they don't win the final.

He was unbelievable. Jalen Brown was teammates with Steve Kerr's son at Cal. I did not know that. There's another connection. There's more synergy. It doesn't make any sense. All right. To the Euros, where Spain had a monstrous win yesterday over France.

Look at this goal from Lameen-Yimal. Incredible night. That's Galazzo, Colin. It was Yamaul's first goal of the tournament, help equalize things for Spain. And not only that, he becomes the youngest goal score in Euro history. 16 years, 362 days old. Spain faces the winner of

England and the Dutch, which, by the way, you can watch right here on Fox at the top of the hour. The quality of soccer in the Euros? Yes. Insane. Thank you. There it is.

It's like our NFL playoffs. The intensity of it's through the roof. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, what were you doing at 16, Colin? I know you weren't scoring Galazzo's in the Euros. I was doing bad things. Yeah.

On Tuesday, Judge Otani, Harper, and baseball's biggest stars takes center stage deep in the heart of Texas for the midsummer classes. It's the 2024 All-Star Game coverage begins Tuesday at 7 p.m. Eastern on Fox. So a lot of off-season moves. I wasn't here for them, so I'm going to give out my grades, my report card. Jordan will set me up on all the NBA off-season moves. Here we go. All right. What grade would you give Clay Thompson to the maps? Well, they're a playoff team now with big aspirations. I'd say it's a C-plus.

He was a regular season player of note last year. Really, in the last couple of years, has been disappointing the postseason. No longer an elite defender. But the Mavs shot only 31% on threes. He's also a catch-and-shoot guy, which with Luca, that's important because he's very ball-dominate. So it's a good C-plus to B-minus. I like the move. But again, this organization, that was all about the playoffs.

It's not about the regular season. Clay was great in the regular season, but you got to do something in May. How about DeMarter Rosen to Sacktown with the Bean? Well, I'll give it a B. He plays a lot of minutes. He works hard, not much of a defender, more of a mid-range guy. Feels like he's, you know, the game is moved past this type of player. So he's like, he's not going to defend you like a guard like a Jalen Brown and not going to hit a bunch of threes. But he plays a ton of minutes.

He works hard. He's a six-time All-Star. I like it. CP3 to San Antonio. C-plus, I mean, again, you're not going to get 82 games. Can you get 70 games? Can you get 28 minutes? No longer a plus defender.

But actually, his age and wisdom matters. Spurs were seconded the NBA and assist last year, and Chris is an assist machine. So he'll make them better at what they already do well. But, you know, again, I think you're looking. for leadership. That's what this is all about leadership. Showing Wimby the next stage. There are limitations on

his game now in minutes play. Yep. What great would you give Alex Caruso and Isaiah Hartinstein to the OKC Thunder? A good B-plus. You're not getting a ton of points, but they're both plus defenders. Hardinstein is, to me, a greater loss for the Knicks than a game for OKC, but I think he is a good game. I mean, he ranked fifth and offensive rebounds.

Chet Holmgren's, they're big, but not quite as physical. Hardinstein is a culture fit. He's a tough guy. It's a really young team. He's an unselfish player. But I think he's a bigger loss to the Knicks than a gained OKC. Bruce is over 40% from three as well. What grade would you give Buddy Heel to the Golden State Warriors?

A little bit replacing Clay maybe. A C. Yeah, a little bit. You know, good player, solid player. They already have the best three-point shooter in the game. He's a career 40% guy on threes. I thought he would have been a good fit. with the Lakers, because if you play with LeBron, he's going to set you up to succeed on three-pointers,

but it's a good solid C. How about KCP and Tavius Colwell Polk to Orlando? Now, this is an underrated move, so he can hit threes, and the maps are terrible at shooting him. He's also, they have a really good, young group of players that don't know how to win. CCP wins. He won with the Lakers. He wins with Denver. He's a player that used to drive me a little crazy.

I've really grown to like him as a player. Big shot maker, never afraid of the moment, a willing defender, long, it's got a beautiful stroke. Yep, yeah. And again, plays really well in big games. And the other thing about KCP is he was frequently asked to guard the other team's best offensive guard. So he's become one of my favorite, like, glue guys in the league.

I think that's a great get for Orlando. Yeah, not only that, it shows that Denver does not want to spend the money. And I think this is going to, you talk about Hartenstein hurting the Knicks. It's going to hurt Denver. Oh, there's no question. Listen, he left the Lakers. He's a big shot taker and a big shot maker.

This is my favorite. Mikhail Bridges to the Knicks. A-minus, he's not a great player. He's a good player that fits perfectly. They tend to be a small team. That's why I think the Hardenstein loss is punitive. I like him a lot. I mean, the bottom line is Brunson, Bridges, Josh Hart.

Dante DiVincenzo. It's a good team now. And again, if you're going to beat Boston, what do you need? Links. You get versatility. So what's Philadelphia do? They add a wing. What do the Knicks do?

This is a Celtics move. You're not going to beat, if you start looking at teams that are going to face the Celtics, you watch Boston, you're like, dude, we got to get six, seven, six, eight guys in a wing that can defend and hit shots. Quality, classic Villanova guy. I mean, there's literally a term in the NBA. Nova guy. High character, work hard, overachiever, great coachable team guy. Jay Wright created a term. Nova guy. Yeah, I think, I think Mikhail, this is the move that the Knicks fans have wanted them to make for years. It'll be a fun team to watch. I agree. Nobody will play harder.

I mean, and this is your favorite one, I think. Paul George to Philly. I mean, what does that do? A-plus. Okay. Most underrated player in the league. Bottom line, nine-time All-Star replaces Tobias Harris, much better offensive player than Tobias Harris. You know, it's just funny. He's never gotten the love he deserves. So I think when you grade a player, first of all, I grade the player, and then what's the fit? What is he on the defense? Most of these guys that make their money in the free agent, they can score.

This guy I'll defend. This guy has always played on teams with a definitive number one, so he's been overlooked. Carmelo Anthony is the prodigy. I think Paul George would make you a better team. I just think he's an underrated guy. And by the way, this team will be led by Ambide. They were 16 and 27 without Ambide on the floor. So Embed's their best player.

But Embedd misses time. I don't know. I just, I would have a, I could move off Kauai Leonard in 15 minutes. I would have a hard time if I'm the Clippers moving off Paul George. He's a, he's a, Paul George, trust me, it's going to take you about a half of Sixers basketball to go. Oh, yeah, we can get to the finals. There's a dearth now of big threes, and you mentioned PG.

He fits in, he blends. So he's actually the perfect fit for Maxie and Embed, and he won't mind being second or third fiddle on any given night. Yeah. It was interesting to watch the opinionists, you know, their opinions on all these moves. I think KCP is a, to Orlando is a hugely underrated move. I think Hartinstein out of New York is a,

Really tough lost. I know he's an 8-and-8 guy, but he's way more than that. I thought Paul George DeFilly. I'm surprised. First of all, I never thought he'd leave. I didn't think the clippers would give him up, especially with the lack of consistency on Kauai's health. I was shocked.

I'm not shocked much in free agency. That's the one that moved the needle. Wow. He's going to go all the way east as a California guy. All right, Jordan and I are back tomorrow, baby. Yes, sir. Flew through it today. Got the rust off, I hope.
