But before we continue with bobbleheads, because we got some stats like Dwayne's stats, we got some stats about these bobbleheads. There is a big announcement in the NFL. Yeah, it was sort of expected. So this is not like... But it's official. You know, it's CNN or Fox News says, breaking news?

And it's like, is it really breaking news? If you knew it? Not really. But the Pittsburgh Steelers have made it official that Russell Wilson will be starting game one, week one for the Pittsburgh Steelers. We all figured that. A lot of pressure, though.

A lot of pressure because if he slips even just a little bit, you know what's going to happen. Yeah, how much leeway? How far of a leash does Mike Tomlin have on his quarterback situation? You got to stick what your starting quarterback because it just makes you look like a wavering coach. But is it a like this was a three-week commitment? And then we reassess it week to week. When you need someone to starter in a quarterback battle, if you watch the Joe Montana docu-series, which is fantastic.

I believe it was on Peacock? I think so, yeah. Cool under pressure. You forget that Bill Walsh was like week to week on his feelings about Steve Young and Joe Montana. But to the point where if like someone rubbed them the wrong way, he's like, yeah, we're going to go with Steve Young. Ah, we're going to go with Montana. Ah, we're going to go with Young.

And, you know, those are two Hall of Famers. Russell Wilson was on the way, slipped up, and Justin Fields was supposed to be the guy. And it didn't work out in Chicago. So I don't think it's very Montana Young-like, but I do wonder if Russ has

a bad week or two. You've got to give him some grace if he has a bad week or two. You know, did have a pretty decent season last year he was doing well. Click on the Steelers real quick. On the Steelers? Click on the Steelers. Yeah, click on the Steelers there. Where do you want me to go? Right there. Okay. I want to see their first

three or four. Right there. Gotcha. Let's see their first couple weeks. At the Falcons. Kirk Cousins, good offense. I'm giving them an L. I don't, I don't. I don't. Atlanta's going to be good. All right. I don't want to be the guy looking too much. That's what I'm saying. You got to give him some grace.

All right. At Broncos, this old team. Revenge game for us. like, yeah, F those guys. Yeah, plays a big game there. 1-1. 1-1. Chargers. They have their home opener at Heinzfield. Chargers. Again, an unknown team.

We don't know. So it's it. I think if Russ... Then the cults. Then the cults. Because Anthony Richardson. What the hell doing that? Then Cowboys. Then your Raiders, Danny G. All right, so we're looking at a possible six and six,

if you give or take, right? which, by the way, is the definition of the Steelers, right, a 500 team in your mind? What would Russ need to do to keep the job? Is it 500 or does Russ need to play over 500? Tomlin's known for playing over 500, so I think he has to continue that. But I'm saying, like, music, what do you think? If they are 3 and 3, 2 and 2, if they're just, you know, again, they lose to the Falcons, but then they beat the Broncos, then they win their home opener and get to charge it,

but then lose to the cults. If Russ is playing 500 football, is that not enough? Absolutely enough. It's enough. Oh, for sure. 100%. Because that's really where the Steelers have gotten to at this point, which is staying relatively competitive. Like, the standard that they're supposed to be winning like 12 and 13 games every year has been gone since like Big Ben.

Yeah, like Big Ben, Levyon Bell, Antonio Brown. Like that was when they were still serious playoff contenders. They've almost been applauded by taking mediocre teams and still finding the way to be nine and eight. Exactly. And they've always been known as like a patient organization. So like if Russ is just keeping them competitive enough to where you look at it and you're like, oh, they're in the wild card hunt. They're not pulling the plug on that. Yeah, it's big dreaming to expect anything other, as the kiddies would say. Big dreaming, bro.

No, no, no. Because that's why they hire you because that's what they expect. So if they give them, if he gives them what they at least. expect than his success. You know, I saw that recently. They were talking about Marcus Stroman on the Yankees. They're like he's having a really great season. Meaning, he's doing

exactly what they expected him to do. You know, eat up innings. That's what they expected. They didn't expect them to be a Cy Young caliber pitcher out of nowhere all of a sudden for the Yankees. They expected him to do that. That's successful. They're not expecting I don't think Russell Wilson to be

leading this team to a ridiculous winning record. I think 500, just above 500, like you said, Ryan, is right where he's going to be at. I think it has to be you got to be realistic a little bit. Exactly. And like to your, to the other side of that is he would have to wildly

underperform expectation. Like we're talking like you said the six game mark. They got to be like one in five and the offense is scoring like 12 points in any game. Then he can't even move. Because they're like, this is so bad we can't even deny it. And by the way, Marcus Schroeman is the definition. I know we're going back to baseball, but the definition

of a solid middle of the rotation, eat innings guy. He's 9 and 6 with a 3-8-8-E-R-A. And if you look at all of his previous seasons, that's exactly what they expected to get from him. So he's giving you exactly what you expected. What more could you ask for? That's who you hired.

So if you went through to the-dler schedule. So thank you for taking the bait on that. Let's take a look. What are you expecting from Russell Wilson? That's my point. If he gives you what you expect, then that's, on you. Then good. He did a good job.

Wilson needs to take care of the football. He doesn't turn over the ball the way Justin Fields does. Exactly. And that's probably the biggest difference. We know Fields flashes with some glamorous video game type plays, but he does turn the ball over a lot. So if

Wilson starts turning over the ball, then I think Tomlin would be like let me go with the upside. 100%. And to your expectations point is like the expectations were completely different. in Denver. And that was the problem was he was the guy who they traded all these draft picks for. They gave the huge contract to. And the expectations were, dude, you are the man. You got to be an MVP type

candidate. You got to lead our offense. And then especially when Sean Payton came in and Sean Peyton's like, hey, I coached Drew Breeze. This is how we're going to design the offense to your strengths. We need you leading the way. That's clearly not the case anymore in Pittsburgh. I mean, Colin, one of the most thought-out guys of the game. We're failing for him. Who doesn't love the herd? Colin took the bait for, oh, all they needed is a quarterback in Denver, and it's Russ. It just didn't work out.

You're right. The expectation was through the roof. That was the Denver's defense as elite at the time, and a lot has changed since then. Sure. But I want to take a look real quick again at that schedule, and it really reeks of 500. And you're right. People are unrealistic in certain areas of life. relationships, work, real estate's a big one.

How many times do you see someone? We're looking for our dream home. Here's our budget. And you're like, what do you want the real to do? Make houses appear out of nowhere? Like, we're looking for a house that's newly furnished for less than this. Good luck. You're not going to go to Pittsburgh and be like,

we got an aging quarterback who's not what he was with decent personnel and a good coach. Bring us a Super Bowl. No, you're getting a house that needs a little rehab. You're needing a house that needs a new coach. Kitchen. Atlanta. At Atlanta, we're giving them an L, right? We're going to give Kirk Cousins a win at home in his home opener. Exactly. The Broncos

Bonoenix. That's his revenge game, bonnics. So we'll give him a W. Chargers, I'll be nice and say it's their home opener in Pittsburgh. We'll give them a W. We'll be nice. We'll split them, right? Because the next week they're at Indy and we're saying, all right, Indie will win. That's 2 and 2.

Cowboys and Raiders are the next two games. We'll give them a W and an L. So now we're three and three. Jets and Giants. A W and an L. Now you're at 4 and 4. And guess what?

The quick essential. And Ryan's right. Music's right. You're not making a drastic move on your starting quarterback if you're 4 and 4 at that point. Bro, could I keep going because that's almost comical? Commander is and Ravens. W.L. Now you're 5 and 5.

Here's where it gets a little dicey. Cleveland, Cincinnati, Cleveland. Unbelievable. You might steal one of those. Now I feel like you're looking at six and seven. Then you play the Eagles and Raven. The end of the season and the Chiefs. Oh, and the Bengals?

All right. This team looks like they could possibly play 500 football until the last month or so, five games of the year. And then it could fall apart. And then you might see, could Justin Field salvage this. That's the drama to look forward to Russell Wilson

What a tough finish By the way Can I give you that The official starting quarterback For the Steelers Holy crap If you're a Steelers fan And you're like

Well if we stay 500 Listen to their last three games This is brutal The last three games Where they're going to be fighting For a playoff spot Tomlin Never under 500

The last three games Ravens Chiefs Bengals And they play the Bengals twice too toward the end of the season. Yeah. Yeah, that's tough. But the last three weeks in particular, Baltimore, Kansas City, Cincinnati. That is absurd that we talked about before. Those are your three best AFC teams that are predicted to go to the Super Bowl. And the Steelers have to finish against those in December. As they said in the movie taken, good luck.

Good luck. But also, again, it's a lesson of expectation. How many women marry a schlub And then they expect some dude to be a Mr. Universe He's a schlub when you met him How could you have all these expectations for the guy? He was an average fella You know, that's really what it comes down to What are the expectations for Russell Wilson

They're not what they used to be If he delivers a little over 500 That's all you expect And he's doing his job, they're not going to make a move Can offer a counterpoint here? Yeah, let's do it too. What up, Tui? Okay, you were just talking about last year

The expectations in Denver. Yeah. When he got benched last year in Denver, what do you think their record was? Good point. It wasn't as awful as you think, right? Maybe what? Seven and eight. Okay.

Teetering close to 500. The problem with this is with Russ, they could be 500, but what if he looks awful and their defense is carrying them? You know the fans in Pittsburgh are going to go crazy. You got to get bench him. You got to bench him. There were times when the Broncos were like a three-and-out machine. You don't think you could hear that anyway, though. You watch some of those games and it was like, three-in-out, three-and-out.

You're like, what, they can't, well, they're not even moving the ball. Dude, you're going to, look, Russell Wilson comes with that stigma anyway where people are going to want to be quick to hate on them because of his personality. I think he's going to get that regardless. I really do. You know, that's the tough part of dealing with a guy like this. One last question, because what I hear from all of you is that it's pretty much going to be the same team. And as far as the quarterback position goes, it was almost like a lateral move. so why did they trade Kenny Pickett to the Eagles?

Are you saying Russell Wilson is that much better than Pickett? I think he... I don't hear that from any of you. Maybe just based on what he's done, but maybe currently. I don't... I think they knew that Kenny Pickett wasn't going to be the first round franchise guy. Hometown guy, though, and did they really give him a fair shape? But I think that ended up working against them.

Like, they had to be like, we can't keep dragging. this out and letting people hope that the hometown kid's going to save us and take us to where we want to go because we're not seeing it so we might as well cut bait Kenny Pickett wasn't winning a Super Bowl for the for the Steelers I think that was a general

sentiment. But you're saying Russell Wilson isn't either. No, I don't think he is but I think that there's like a more of an odd hope like what if Russ has some like you know you've at least seen Russ do it it may have been almost a decade ago now but you've at least seen him do it whereas Kenny Pickett

I think they were like, oh boy, the Pittsburgh kid ain't taking us to the promised land. And Kavino's right. There's a lot. If Russ struggles, people love to pick on Russ. And by the way, have you ever had the Danger Witch at Subway? No, I never had it. No, no. But you know what?

We could try one. They're still around? So that's the update, guys. Russell Wilson, the starter. But we started knew that. By the way, that's the beginning of the end. I'm looking back. It was a couple years ago when Russ had his Dangerer Witch sandwich,

pepperoni, salami, ham, and provololol. at Subway and he did those cringy commercials. Those dangerous. Yeah. After that, honestly, since then, nothing. Downhill. The curse. Well, nobody's rooting against them.

You know, we're not that kind of show. I hope he does well. We'll see what happens. All right. So just to wrap up our previous conversation though, because that was breaking news. Bobblehead Day is today. It's like a holiday here in Los Angeles. And you guys get the deal. Look, Otani, by the way. he's slaying it.

So I understand the hype. He could be the first ever 50-50 guy to do it. He's having a season. 50-50. There's like a month left. He's got, what, 41 home runs, Danny, J? Andy's a pitcher. Yeah, Danny.

I was talking to some of the dads at my kids' open house at the school last night. Just small-talking. And by the way, we had that conversation yesterday. If a dad can't small talk about sports, I want to jump out of window. So... What kind of dad is he?

What kind of dad is he? So I was talking to a dad. Are you really a dad? I was talking about how because Otani's been so dominant, and him and Judge are clearly. Who? I'm sorry, I don't follow sports. I'm sorry, I don't follow golf.

Oh, geez. So if we're so hung up on Otani and Judge, you know, Mookie Betts is not far behind, but there's elite players in Major League Baseball Trouts hurt. Otani's doing something so spectacular that we almost do forget. Oh, yeah, he's a pitcher. No, you're right. What he's doing now, add a potential Sy Young side of him that we'd ever even got yet.

The Dodgers are getting their money's worth. You know, just on the offense. Your Mets are trying to make a push that Lindor could arguably be a better MVP choice because he at least is playing a position. Otani's, you know, more of a DH at this point. They're actually saying that he is second in line this season. Yeah, no, he... Otoni is so clearly the MVP is ridiculous.

No, no, yeah, of course. But that's that conversation of most valuable players. versus best player. Otani's by far the best player. If you want to actually talk about MVP, if you took it so literally, Lindor might be more valuable to the Mets because the Dodgers are stacked with so much talent, right?

I just think it's never been more obvious than Judge and Otis. I agree. I'm not the doofest making an argument on my, on behalf of my MET, but if you really talk about value what Lindor means to the Mets, the Mets come and go as Lindor. Yeah. It's hot or cold. And I'm not hating on Lindor either.

In fact, I'm just sharing the story. I think Otani, while he is the best player in the game, the Dodgers is so good that they'd be a playoff team even if he wasn't there. So again. The Mets are, like, the Mets are clinging to playoff hopes because of Lendor. He could be 50-50. Everybody in L.A.'s going bonkers about the Bumblehead. I think it's like the first 18,000 get it.

Dodgers Stadium holds 56,000 people. What's with the obsession? Danny G. has some stats, though. Break it down for us so we could wrap it down. it up. All right. Now, this stat is from late 2018, so you have to add in inflation here, okay? Okay. According to a sales representative at Associated Premium Corporation, which is a preferred vendor of MLB promotional items, a seven-inch bobblehead purchased in bulk exceeding 10,000 units, cost a ball club between three and five dollars each. So let's say five dollars, because we're

in 2020. Okay. Okay. So that's $280,000 to give everybody one. That's a, that's an by that it seems reasonable for a big company. If you want to spot... Bank or whoever's sponsoring these bobbleheads, yeah. It's like, hey, sponsored by Capital One, you tell me they can't afford a couple hundred thousand dollars. And if you make

that bulk 50,000 bubbleheads, give me a break. I think it's like cheap scape behavior. It really is. Supply and demand, we get that, but you got fans paying crazy amounts of money like we already said for concessions and tickets and everything else. And you want to have a good time. That's the thing.

And the kids that don't get one, you feel like a failure of a parent if you're one of those who brought your kid there and they don't have one. Can I give me a... I'll never understand it and I'll never understand the adults obsessing over this nonsense. I just... I'll say this respectfully.

Get a life. Honestly, get a life. If you're an adult and you care that much about it, at least it was respectfully. Yeah, because I'll tell you, I'll be honest. If someone gave me one, I'm very thankful. I have, Eric said this last week to Rich. I have a few at home.

I don't obsess over them. They sit up on my shelf with all my hats. You know, hey, whatever. He prays to the Aaron Judge one. Yeah, like, whatever. But to obsess over these things, ridiculous. I'll do my Kavino impression. But don't do respect, respect for you.

You're a bunch of losers. Well, if you prefaced it that way. It's okay. It's okay. Let me give you one last analogy. Like I said, when we're feeling for Colin, you got to break out the analogies. Oh, stars attract other stars. If I'm going to a stadium and,

And I know that if I'm not one of the first 10 to 20,000 people there, my kid's not going to get the, you know, my daughter's not going to get the hello kitty Dodgers thing. I have that stomachache, like that anxious anxiety feeling like, like, oh, we got to get there. Those are called nervous farts. Yeah, I have that nervous belly feeling. I used to have that same feeling when you used to go to a movie theater and there wasn't assigned seating. When they started doing assigned seating, like I go take my kids to go see the minions movie

or go see the new aliens movie. When you know that, I'll show up. Oh, yeah, I'm Road G. Seat 7. There's no rush. I have alleviated stress. Stadiums, teams, alleviate that stress for all the moms and dads out there. And it's a safety issue.

Remember Domino's had that policy way back on a Wednesday, like 30 minutes or less? Remember our buddy, Mike, who runs this place? Used to work at Domino's. Dude, people were killing people just to deliver that pie on time. Because everyone had those expectations of getting it 30 minutes or less or it's free. Yeah. I have some breaking Dodger news here.

I think the Dodgers organization heard you guys on the afternoon show. They have announced that they are upping it to 40,000 bobbleheads for the second go-around. Oh, wow. So, hey, we're getting there. You're welcome? You're welcome, Dodgers fans. My point was saying, and it goes on what Rich was saying. You're forcing all these people to rush there, track.

fights, nervous farts, accidents, you know, there's a tussle in the, in the stands because someone didn't get one. It's a fender bender because you're nervous, your daughter's not going to get her a little toy. At least now they're giving some out. 40,000, there you go. It's a big night. You're going to hear about it later. So if you leave it, if you are a Southern California resident and you leave your job

I got this at like 6 a.m. from him. He's been waiting all day. We're finally going to deliver. DJ Stroud, his Houston Texans. That's right. Burst onto the scene last year, winning the AFC South. Stroud quickly being anointed as one of the next great QBs in this league after his stellar rookie season. Well, he had an interview with The Boardroom and was asked to describe what Tom Brady was like. Here's what he said. He's the blueprint. Who you would model your game after. You got to be yourself at the same way. So he'll tell you that. He wanted to be a great

teammate and that's something that I want to be as well. It's so funny when we talk about Brady and reflect on it from our armchair quarterback analysis position is that is true. Tom Brady is the blueprint. Like for the most part if you were to boil it down obviously there's a ton of intangibles and great physical attributes that made Brady what's Brady but it was do anything you can to put the team first sacrifice in your own personal life to do put football first. become progressively more handsome as the years go on. Absolutely.

You know, take less money. Like, there is a actual blueprint there. And it doesn't feel like there's that many quarterbacks that actually end up following that blueprint. Well, they chase the bag. They want the money. They want the fame. And I don't necessarily blame them for that. But, I mean, it's like, you do have it there.

And most guys are like, I don't know. Now, a great example of what you speak of. I'm by no means saying that this guy is that level. But Brock Purdy could. very well take a ton less next year. That way the Niners could keep their pieces and they would compete for the next five plus years. Right. But it secures a job and maybe a championship.

But that would be great. Sentiment is that if Brock Brady has another good season, he's going to be right up there with the guys making $50 plus million. Oh, absolutely. 100%. But Tom Brady's blueprint would say take 40 something. Sure, sure. And I wonder also like how many guys, like we know these quarterbacks are all like taking care of their bodies, right? But, like, how many of those guys are like, you know what? I'm buying that TB12 method book and I'm doing the exact same thing.

I feel like I saw CJ Stroud is way into his diet more than ever, like spent a ton of money in the offseason. Sure. So maybe he is. No, but that's why when you see someone following the blueprint, you got to respect it. And I often say, Aaron Judge, look, the dude is creating his own path, clearly, right? But I often say he's following that Jeter blueprint. He's just doing it on a bigger.

mammoth sort of level. No, he's not. He would be sleeping with all the hottest women in Hollywood if he was falling in the cheater of blueprint. I'm saying the way he handles the press, the way he carries himself. And Rich always, you know, you make fun of it. I'm like, well, dude, the guy did it perfect

in New York for all those years. It's laid out for you right there. What I also took away from the CJ Stroud's story, too, was that's how you respectfully talk about your legends, I guess. And that's why Anthony Edwards got so much so much slack about saying that the previous generations this didn't have the skill level. Imagine if he said like, yeah, Tom Brady's

great and all, but he didn't have this, he didn't have the skills that we have today. Right, yeah. But it doesn't rub people the wrong way. Sure. Or right way, I should say. Yeah. Anthony Edwards still taking tons and tons of heat for those comments. All right. The Dolphins have placed Oda Beckham Jr. on the pup list, physically unable to perform less meaning, well, he's going to miss at least the first four games of the season while he deals with an undisclosed injury. Now, the dolphins reportedly were aware of this as a legitimate possibility for OBJ when they signed him back in March. And it's interesting, like, when you really think about Odell and you sort of touched on this rich about like players, the way we think

about them and the brand of the player versus what there actually are at this point. Like, I think a lot of people are like, oh, OBJ. But like when we talk about, the last time he was even remotely actually productive was the playoff run and the Super Bowl for the Rams, missed an entire season after that. And then also wasn't even

productive for the Ravens last year. I can't, I was, while you were just speaking, I was trying to think, Kavino, while music was going over that, to think of another player in any sport who's riding off of, I continue to believe that he rides off of that amazing

catch. You read my mind. His athleticism was like, oh my God, Odell Beckham Jr., greatest catch of all time. He was playing in a big market in New York. And then it's, if he never made that catch, it might, he might blend in with like a, I'd say, like a Robbie chosen Anderson who's trying to make a team. He wrote it off that catch, not to take away from his skills. But, uh, when I heard that. Oh, maybe like Buster Douglas. You would never know the name, but you would never know the name Buster Douglas if he didn't beat Mike Tyson. I got one. I was surprised when I heard that news. Judavian Clowny in college.

That massive hit in the bowl game. And ever since then, it was like, this guy, number one overall pick. But outside of that, like, been productive. But you wouldn't know him as like a household name number one overall pick without that huge play. For sure. All right. Thank you, Ryan. Well, that's the news.

I respect that. Fans were laying into Aeron. I mean, you got to respect him for this being his idea of a quote, ideal date night. But like so many people are clouded him, midweek or major. It's majorly awesome, in my opinion. He's slaying it on every level. He's taking in the sun. He's hanging out with his beautiful girlfriend.

He's watching the game. Probably having a drink. He's living his life. And I respect this so much because, guess what? He loves the game, and that's what he does for a living. It always bothered me. We talked about the Jeter blueprint. It always bothered me that Jeter was the guy.

No, no, no, no. Everything you're saying is grossing out, you bozo. I wrote the dice. I won. Give me my moment. It always bothered me. that cheater said when the season was over, when the game was over, he sort of left it on the field. He wasn't watching baseball all the time.

And it's like, well, how much do you really love baseball then? Aeron loves baseball. That's why he cheated because he cared that much. He loved it more than anybody. So it's the truth. He wanted to be the best that bad. He sacrificed his own reputation to be the best. I love baseball.

I think I could do multiple things, multitask, be at a dinner, hang out, and still have my ear to the game and enjoy myself. He's Alex Rodriguez. He loves the game more than you. How could you be surprised? I respect it. This is the weakest thing on planet Earth.

I get my turn. What would your mom say in the 80s? Gag me with a spoon. Remember that phrase? He must be on quailudes. This is ridiculous. Honestly, it bothers me when Kavino does it. This is A-Rod. Give it a rest.

There's 162 games. It's not 17 Sundays that we need to be zoned in. Honestly, it's almost embarrassing. You know, maybe that's why Jaylow left him. Guy loves the game. It's possible. I think it's cool for him. It's still what he does, by the way.

I like A-Rod. I think he's great. I think a lot of people clown on him for no reason. But this is a reason I want a clown on him. Like, dude, what are you doing? I love his love of the game. He's more worried about going. Labor Torres is at bat than his beautiful girlfriend.

He enjoys it, dude. All right. Next story. All right. Kevin Burkhart. I love KB. We love KB. Friend of the show,

part of the premier lineup of NFL and Fox broadcasting team, is starting to get a taste of what it's like sharing the broadcast booth with, of course, the goat, Tom Brady. He appeared on the Calm Down podcast with Aaron Andrews and Chrisa Thompson. Was asked about his new co-worker. He said,

it's like a circus when you're walking with Tom Brady. He said it took him like an extra, like a extra hour or so just to get from the green room down to the field. Yeah. He said everyone's coming up to Brady wants to talk to him, taking photos with him. You know, he sees the positive of it. He thinks like, you know,

getting this insight from players that want to talk to Brady will be cool. But he also said Brady is very humble and willing to accept feedback from Burkhard. So midweek or major? I think it's a major story because these are the guys that we're going to be watching. Dynamic duo, Burkart, and

Brady. I think Kevin Burkart is the perfect guy to be alongside Tom Brady because we worked with Kevin Burkhard at S&Y. We did our first TV appearance with Kevin Burkart. Have you ever met Rich a guy with more swag who is more, let's say, Mike Shore about himself than Kevin Burkart? And you need a guy like that to deal with the sort of attention and circus like atmosphere that Tom Brady's going to get because you know Kevin could hold his own in this atmosphere. Kevin Burkart working with Tom Brady is like Travis Kelsey dating Taylor Swift

of five NBA stars. They announced the stars as well. It'll be Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards, DeMontas Sabonis, Jason Tatum, and of course, Daddy himself,

LeBron James. Series will be premiering Wednesday, October 9 to coincide with the start of NBA training camps, of course, following the footsteps of quarterback and receiver,

midweek or major. Majorly major. You had me at Butler and Edwards. Edwards, controversial, especially with what he's said recently. about old players not having skills. He's outspoken. Then you said LeBron James.

The guy you're not allowed to call Daddy on the court. That's major, dude. And NBA is great at creating superstars. Now we get to know him on a deeper level. I think this is really cool. It's great for the NBA, great for basketball. Everything he said, I agree. It's major, major because, again, if you're into the NBA,

this will only pull you in more to the great storylines. And again, because I watch receiver, there are players that like, I mean, for instance, I'm on Ross St. Brown. I followed him as a player, but now I feel like I'm invested in him because I really liked his story and his family and everything.

So I think you're going to get a great glimpse into five superstars. So NBA, I love that they're on board with Netflix. Very cool move. All right, I guess when you land a $100 million contract for your podcast, it attracts big guests. So the Kelsey Bros. Welcome to Adam Sandler this week

as part of the season premiere, the Sandman of the New Lights podcast. As you know, Sandler, I think revealed last week. We talked about it that Travis will be making a cameo in the upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel. Well, Sandler, of course, used his time to gush about his love of Taylor Swift, huge in his household. His kids love it. And he's actually admitted that he's afraid to talk to Taylor Swift because he doesn't want to make himself seem like a for his family.

He seemed like idiots. But he talked about how much he loves the relationship between Travis and Taylor. Like everybody. So I guess he's securing an invite to the possible upcoming wedding. Who knows? Midooker Major. I heard Sandler said, Taylor Swift, so hot. We want to touch to Hiney.

It's like in the sports world when all of a sudden you're like, we could talk about gambling? Yeah. You know, but that's my point. I'm glad you said that because think about what used to be taboo in our world, right? It seems to be the norm now, right?

Gambling one of them, like, ooh. Dude, just the other day. Just the other day. Stephen A. Didn't he say, I want to have one of those gummies Mad Dog has? People talk about weed like it's no big deal anymore. Dude, absolutely. Mad Dog talks about his routine.

I have my gummy. And now that's. College football, right? Gummy. So if these are things we used to not talk about, and now we do, in fact, lean into it, in the future, do you think you're going to have more broadcasts where people are just, hey, cheers, man.

I don't know if you get a drunk broadcaster, but I will say we would- Are you serious? It would provide for better content. I don't know. We used to do a bunch of red carpet stuff for, let's say, like, you know, an ESPN party or Rolling Stone or Max. I'm like, we'd go to the big Super Bowl parties.

We'd interview athletes and celebrities And at Series XM there were less rules with that stuff I would have a couple vodka sodas on the red carpet And I think my interviews are better I'm not gonna lie I feel like if I loosened up Kavino and Jokey's like up here comes Rich Davis Well here's the thing I would have two drinks

And I would be super buzzed too Just doing my best to keep it together I think when you're speaking at a high rapid volume Like we are in a broadcast your wheels are turning I think you just get more lightheaded or the buzz hits you quicker or something. I don't know. But I think you'd get better content as a result.

I think you're going to see some changes. There's going to be too much money to be made. Was that Guinness? Yeah. Right? You don't think they got some extra plug and loving out of that, maybe more money as a result. Some wheels are turning at networks now.

You don't think that in the future is going to be like, hey, what's the big deal if they have two drinks? Plus, they're going to be more honest on the air. It's like truth serum. You're going to reap the benefits of it. That's our prediction here. moving forward, drinking on the job. Certain jobs you can't.
