No. I mean, Kanye, being a fan of Kanye is a complicated process. It's a journey. It is. That's exactly what it is. It's not linear.

Like Tom Hanks, I get the same dude for 40 years, it's all good. We're all in this journey together. Big roller coaster with Kanye. Eric Mangini, three championships, Jets Browns,

I could sit and talk music for four hours. Hey, so Alex Guerrero comes out and says, you know, Belichick didn't evolve. He treated Tommy at 40 like Tommy at 20. I don't know if I'd love my trainer saying it, but let's just get to the point, which is, do you buy it? Do you understand where his heart is and what Alex Guerrero is saying? Does it resonate with you? Yeah, I think it's absolutely true. And I don't necessarily think that that's different than a lot of relationships.

where when you come in as a young guy and you work in an organization, oftentimes the people that are senior do you always see you as that young guy because their relationship age-wise stays the same. And that's definitely the case in New England. And I went through some of that. I was with Bill for 11 years and I came in at 23 and I left at 34 and that's even a different age than Tom or younger age than Tom, but I was a different guy at 34 than I was at 23.

And that happens a lot. it's one of those things that you do have to evolve, especially with Tom, who's a dad, who's 40 years old. I mean, it's a totally different, unique dynamic,

and I don't think it, I don't think it did change. What do you make of this whole, like I don't see what coaches see, so I'm always sort of reluctant to say you should start this young guy or that guy. I'm not at practice. So Matt Nagy says, Hey, Dalton,

when he's healthy, To that, I say, be careful because what if Justin Fields is pretty good this week? This Cleveland defense is still figuring itself out on the back end. And Chicago's healthy. So on the defensive side, the bears are a little healthier this week. And we could have ourselves a real football game. And then you come back on, you get back to Chicago and you look at film on Monday and you may be like, Justin, he's pretty good.

So what do you make of all that? I mean, I said this earlier, Nagy's lost the city. You can't lose the locker room. No, and if Fields is good, and then you go back to Andy, do you lose the locker room? What do you make of all of it? Well, you can always change your mind, and coaches change their mind all the time in terms of who's starting and how entrenched they're going to be. When you look at what Justin did last week with the opportunity they had, did he do anything that was that impressive? I mean, there were operational errors with a couple different fall starts through the pick.

There are six completions. He had a 27 quarterback rating. So it's not like he went in and lit it up with that opportunity. if he comes out and does extremely well this week and energizes the offense, then it's a different discussion. But we don't know what's happening in the meeting rooms. We don't know how well he truly understands all the different aspects of the offense and how well he handles those things.

So for a team that's fairly defensive dominant right now, if you want a guy that's going to manage the game, Andy's that guy, and Justin's going to have a great opportunity to make a good opportunity to make his case for changing that decision. But he didn't last week. Speaking of young quarterbacks, Mack Jones, he's only averaging 3.1 yards per air pass. I mean, the ball's, he's not throwing it downfield much, but he's also efficient. He's accurate. He doesn't make a bunch of mistakes. When you watch him, two games in, what do you take from it?

Well, I really like the way that New England's handling it. And people will criticize him for for being boring or not taking chances. But you've got to protect that guy. You've got to protect a young quarterback and give him every opportunity to be successful and not make mistakes. And they have to go through so much transition just as a rookie and then to be a rookie starter and then to deal with the volume of coverage and expectations and all those things.

New England's doing absolutely the right thing. I'd say where his weakness has been the most has been. and tight man-to-man coverage and against pressure. And I think people will see that more and more, and he's going to get healthy doses of that and prove, he's going to have to prove that he can handle those two things. Now, I don't recall if you like Sam Darnold, but I said before. I know you love Sam Darnold.

Well, but he's now playing with a lead and a running game. So it's like, and I think a very capable coach. So I always said this, Baker was a disaster. Then he got a good coach and a great O line, and he plays with a lead a lot. It's a different quarterback. And I've always said, I think he's big, I think he's strong. I do think he's reckless.

But when you play with a lead, you don't have to take big gambles. And so Matt Rule after the game last night was like, hey, man, he made like four big throws for us. What's your interpretation of what you're seeing now with the new Sam? Well, I'm really interested to see the new Sam without Christian McCaffrey and what that looks like. McCaffrey had what, 50% of the touches or 40 plus some ridiculous number of touches. Now with him out not there, they're going to have to rely more on Sam. And the question I've always had with Sam has been the decision-making in terms of the touchdown to interception ratio and taking chances that you don't have to take.

He's got a lot of ability. He's tough. He seems like a really good guy that people like and rally around. But can he consistently make good decisions? A little bit like what James faces going forward, has that problem been for? fixed when the pressure is on him to carry the team as opposed to being able to rely on the running game alone. So the minute he gets Christian McCaffrey, you now want to see him without Christian McCaffrey.

Yeah, that's called the Jets, by the way. Yeah. Yeah. All right. So Aaron's had an interesting offseason. Aaron said this offseason, there's a lot of wisdom and silence. Yet Aaron won't stop talking. He has a press conference every week.

It's like pick a lane, Aaron. You know, now he's kind of trying to control a little bit platforms and opinions, and I think he's confusing opinion with inflammatory. I thought calling your team out at a podium and listing 10 players and telling your bosses to be better, I thought that was inflammatory. That, to me, was way too much. So, you know, be careful about claiming everybody else is inflammatory. What do you make of the more verbal and the more public and the more aggressive Aaron Rogers,

though, this year? Yeah, I don't get it at all. And he's always been one to say things in press conferences that weren't direct, but everybody understood exactly what he was saying. And this year, he took a different tact, and he was aggressive with his comments. And he made certain demands. And he has certain expectations based on a level of performance that he's had. That's all good. And if you want to air things out and go to public opinion, then you've got to deal with it when you don't. don't play well. You can't have it both ways. You can't call out everybody else and not expect to get called out when you don't perform well. And I don't see the value in going on a show and taking shots at everybody. You can't win. You can't win. You're going to speak once a week and everybody else is going to talk about you through the rest of the week. And then Baker Mayfield, he's learned that lesson. He's pulled back and it's been good for him. Yes. No, you're absolutely right.

Baker was very outspoken and said some mean things about me, very hurtful, terribly slept. But I will say, Baker does feel Baker is more in control at the mic and on the field. And I think Stefansky's influence was get out of that space. We're going to manage you on the field. Get out of that nonsense. Like, it does matter. Being an adult, that's always underrated with Brady, the adult part of it.

I mean, like, he was asked about Alex Guerrero's comments. and he's like, I was just grateful to be there. So it was an inflammatory comment, and Tom didn't want any part of it. You noticed that. Yeah, Tom recognized that family is going to get asked questions, and family doesn't have media training, and family's going to react emotionally,

but he doesn't want to blow this up into anything more than it's already going to be going into the next week. And with Aaron, he's just not going to win this fight. And you're especially not going to win if you play poorly and there's no value for him to do it. The best thing he can do is go out and be successful on the field and everybody will rally behind him. And everybody will give him the benefit of the doubt. But doing it this way, it hurts his, it hurts his, not his legacy, but it just hurts his credibility, maybe.

Joy Taylor with the news. No. Turn on the news. This is the herd line news. Well, Nick Siriani is not easing his way into his first game against the rival Cowboys. He was spotted wearing a beat Dallas shirt to his news conference on Thursday. And he's very excited leading into Monday night. I really love the fact that I'm able to partake in this rivalry.

And it means a lot to the city. It means a lot to our team. It means a lot to this building. With the rivalry and it being a division game, I don't know if anyone needs our side, their side needs any more bulletin board material or if it's even going to help because we know how big the rivalry is and how much it means to both sides. That's pretty good. It was pretty good there. I didn't bother me. I think it's kind of fun. I think it is fun. I think I'm softening towards Seriani.

He also said he'd be wearing this all week and he purchased them for his wife and kids as well. And then Lane Johnson got the whole team shirts. and Siriani also showed the team of video highlighting the history between the two franchises according to Lane Johnson. So they face the Cowboys on Monday night and the Cowboys are currently favored by three and a half, according to Fox Bet.

You have the Eagles covering. Oh, I think they're going to beat Dallas. I think it's going to be a very competitive close game. I really do. Listen, I'll say this. We forget this. Three years ago, we loved this offensive line. And then it got hurt.

Yeah. Now they're healthy. They have drafted to elevate it. Their line play, they went toe to toe with San Francisco. They did. They are a very physical team. I'll give them that. They are very.

And I like Jalen Hertz a lot. And yes. And they're young. Jalen Hertz. The Smith, the receiver. Devonze Smith, yeah. And Rieger. Now of a sudden they're fast.

They've added this. They were a little slow and clunky the last couple years. Now they got speed. We also had a ton of injuries. A ton of receivers. So they're a more dynamic from a speed. Greg Kossel told us this two weeks ago. Philadelphia is a much.

faster team offensively today than they were two years ago. So this is the one team in the league I may have just whipped on. I think it could have. I think it's going to be a very good game. I think I'm going to take Cowboys win, but I would take the Eagles to cover. So D.K. Metcalf believes opponents are trying to bait him into losing his cool, and he has to do a better job of keeping calm. I'm an emotional person.

I play with, you know, a competitive edge. And, you know, I'm not trying to lose anything, whether that's an argument or a route or, you know, anything. So I'm just going to compete my butt off. But, you know, like I just said, get close to the line, but don't cross it. Knowing myself and knowing, you know, that they're trying to get to me and trying to, you know, get me to cross that line. But, you know, there's a bigger, you know, prize at the end of the tunnel. So not just falling into the trap and knowing that, you know, I play for a team, not just for myself. Well, yeah, they want to get in your head.

They want you to not think about your route. Well, of course. And especially if, to his point, if opponents know he's an emotional guy, then it's on him to, you know, ignore that. If you're somebody who just doesn't pay attention to the noise, then they can yap all they want. It's not going to affect you. But he's been flagged four times, including once for taunting. So it's, you know, you don't want that to be your rep is that, you know, your opponents can get in your head and it's going to get you off your game. It's going to affect your team.

Like, that's a lot of penalties. And the Seahawks had 10 penalties for 100 yards against Tennessee, which was one of the reasons why they blew a 15-point halftime lead. Now, they do have the Vikings on Sunday. They're favored by two, according to Fox Betts. but Dalvin Cook is a little banged up. So I, these questionable, I know. For Sunday's game.

So I think I would take the Seahawks there. I think so too, but I stayed away from that. I consider that for Blazoned 5, but I do worry because Minnesota, the whole season rests on this. You're not going to make the playoffs 0-1-3. So I feel like you're going to get the single most desperate football team. And they're well-coached and their top six offense. I'll tell you what, this will end up being one of the best games of the week.

I'm not sure. Everybody's going to be watching a couple other games. Yeah. This is going to be a great game. It will be a great game. I just without Daven Cook out there. I know. This will be the, you know, last week. It's just questionable.

He might still play, but. Tennessee, Seattle last week was as good as any game played. Oh, it was great. And nobody watched it because we were all watching Chargers, Dallas. And we're all going to be watching Rams, Bucks. I think this game's one o'clock window. It's going to be a great game. Matthew Stafford, speaking of the Rams, has been a big part of their strong start,

five touchdown passes and only one interception. with 599 yards and two games. But offensive line has a lot to do with that. He's giving lots of time. According to pro football focus, no quarterback has been under less pressure than Stafford through the first two weeks. Matthew Stafford, 20.3 percent. Then Tom Brady, Baker Mayfield, and Ben Rothesberger.

Baker Mayfield sits back there with no pressure. I think this is interesting, though. Well, no, it is. Stafford hasn't faced any duress. On 60 total pass-pass blocking opportunities, they've only allowed 11 total pressures. And one of those was from Sony-Michel. It's so weird. Like, we know Whitworth is good.

They have very good tackles. I like the Rams' tackles. But when I watch them, I don't say dominating O line. Every time I go to pro football focus, it's like a top three offensive line. It's weird. Like Cleveland's, you can just see the holes opened up. I think, well. Colts last year.

Maybe it has something to do with just the, we think of Sean. McVeigh's offense so much as a throwing offense when it really is built around the run. And the O line. Yes. And they're doing a tremendous job, which is a big part of the reason why I think he's going to have some success. Now, again, I remain slightly skeptical of how this is going to go in the playoffs. I agree. We've seen a lot from Matthew Stafford.

Yeah, this is all cupcake stuff. Let's get to the big boy games. Yeah. Once some stuff starts to get a little gritty, then we'll see how it goes down. But they look great, and I'm really looking forward to it. It's America's Game of the Week, Sunday at 4 Eastern on 4th. Fox. Gigantic.

And now he makes big headlines for us on Friday. Tomorrow's headline today, Jason McIntyre. What's the headline going to be in papers for charge of? Chiefs. I mean, there's a phenomenal matchup. We know the Chief's kind of struggling. The headline will be KC gets barbecued by a bolt of lightning. Give me the Chargers and

Justin Herbert. Colin, this Chargers team is phenomenal this year, right? They're moving the ball up and down the field. The problem, of course, is the Red Zone. 31st in the NFL and Red Zone touchdowns. They have as many TDs in the Red Zone 3 as they do turnover. But Casey's Red Zone defense. That's the thing. Colin, you're all over this.

Obviously, I just, I can't trust this Kansas City defense. The football outsiders do some great numbers. Historically through two weeks, the Kansas City defense is as bad as the NFL has ever seen. Tomorrow's headlines today. What's the headline going to be in newspapers for the Bengals at the Steelers? All right, so I know who you like in this one. I know who Joy obviously likes in this one. The headline will be, no country for old Ben. Pretty good movie, a little overrated ending. I'm not going to go into it. But I think the Steelers struggle here in this one, you know,

this is the beginning of the end for Ben Rothesberger. We've seen him just lumbering. He was awful against the Raiders. They started two rookies on that offensive line, and Max Crosby and Company just got after it. By the way, sneaky good Bengals front. Remember, they got Trey Hendrickson from the Saints. and if you watch what they did to Justin Fields and Dalton,

like Bengals were in that until Burrow vomited all over himself and just three interceptions in a row. I think the Bengals can pull this off. Colin, T.J. Watt today saying, we'll see if I'm going to go. That's like, what do we do? DJ Watt, not in the mix. Carr killed them last week when Watt wasn't there.

I'm out on the Steelers. It's a rough one for them. All right, tomorrow's headlines today. Washington at the Buffalo Bill. I think you and I are in lockstep. We did the gambling show Monday. and talked about it. The headline will be.

Bill's Mafia drinks too much Heineke. Give me Taylor Heineken. QB1, I like to call him Matt Saracen of Friday Night's fame. I think he can go into Buffalo and pull off the victory. Now, they were what, the line was nine or nine and a half. It's come down to seven. I got it at eight and a half. Yeah, we talked about it Monday.

We like Washington here. I like the under. And this is Colin the first weather game. You know, as gamblers, we've got to check the weather reports. Buffalo, they're calling for rain on Sunday, and 18 mile an hour wins. Okay. Josh Allen is already really struggling. We know he can't throw the ball deep this year.

Can't really throw it short either. I think the Washington front, which has not played well this year. But it's a good point. I take that as an advantage. Yeah. Great front, underachieved. So this front's too good not to have their moment. And historically, if you look at teams coming off 30-point wins, as the bills are, and shutouts,

there's major regression the following week. So we like Washington here in a close one and a low-scoring game. tomorrow's headlines today, Bucks at the L.A. Ram. Game of the week. A lot of division on this one. I'll tell you what I missed. The headline will be. Bucks get in and out of L.A. with a win. So we do a segment on in and out burgers, and if they're too small, no, we're not going to go into hamburgers.

Tom Brady, big spot against the Rams. The Rams opened his favorites, Colin. Small favorite, and now it's all the money. Public and the sharp professionals all on Tampa here. I know you've talked up the Rams. One thing I missed in my handicap, I was driving in, you know, and I'm going through all the games in my head. I'm like, oh, my gosh, Tom Brady plays the Patriots next week.

I know. His dad is already talking about the game. His trainer, subliminally, is Tom Brady thinking about Bill Belichick in a revenge spot next week? I don't know, but I will say this. Stafford has faced no pass rush. Isn't it about time for Tampa's pass rush to wake up? I feel like Washington and Tampa's defensive fronts are going to be like, like, okay, we took early September off.

I think, I mean, I like the Rams in this game, only because they're at home, but I think it's a, I think it's a crazy game. Just a quick note on the Rams defense, right? They were awesome last year, top 10 unit. Colin, they have been moved on very easily by inferior quarterbacks. Andy Dalton went up and down the field. People forget, like, oh, he threw an interception in the end zone. This is a close game in the third quarter.

And then last week, Carson Wentz, who I think we both agrees kind of a bad quarterback, move the ball freely. This was a close, one-score game in the fourth quarter. and now you get Tom Brady and an awesome bucks offense. I like Tampa here. Tomorrow's headlines today. Hackers at the 49ers. Yeah, you and Aaron Rogers, the continuing bromance.

I really do love that as a media subplot. The headline will be, get ready for an errand of grievances. Listen, Aaron Rogers is going to lose this game. I know a lot of the professionals are like, oh, come on, Aaron Rogers as an underdog and Sunday night footballer. Got to go with Aaron Rogers. I just, I disagree. We've seen the formula so far through two games. How do you slow Aaron Rogers?

Well, pressure. The two high safeties. The two high safeties and you make him beat you underneath. And he's just a greedy guy who says, you know what? Forget it. I can fling it in between the safeties and coverage. And the lion slowed him down. And we saw in the opener the Saints did, San Francisco has the personnel defensively.

I know they're beat up that they can hang around. And they're going to run the football on this defense. Now, how's San Francisco, the health of their running backs? They've had, there's top guys out. but they have anybody now? I grabbed Elijah Mitchell in fantasy. He's very, very questionable. I think the rookie from Ohio State Sermon is going to get to start.

He's a, I mean, he's tough. But, Colin, somebody smart told me, keep an eye out. This could be a Trey Lance game. Remember, Trey Lance in the opener showed up. Oh, touchdown pass. Did not do anything against the Eagles. Is Shanahan saving him for a package in this one? Just keep an eye on it.

Big high-profile game. Kyle Shanahan wants to showcase the guy that he drafted. Just keep an eye on. on something from Trey Lance here on the ground against the Packers. All right, we get a bonus pick. Tomorrow's headlines today. Eagles at the Cowboys. Yeah, you know, you and I go head to head on this one a lot.

This is a difficult game, divisional rivalry. You know, you got what's his name showing up with the Dallas Stinks or whatever t-shirt. The headline will be the Dak Knight rises. Listen, I kind of like Dak Prescott. I've 2-0 backing the Cowboys this year. I think this team is a little undervalued, Colin. Though the defense is a joke and they got lucky against the Chargers with a couple touchdowns called back, but this offense is going to be like nothing the Eagles have seen.

Okay, they saw Maddie Ice in his first game with a new coach. And then last week, they, you know, they did well against Jimmy G at home. Now they got to go to Dallas. Home opener. I think Dak really opens things up. It'll hurt if there's no Armari Cooper. But this Dallas offense really is turbocharged, Colin. They look good.

I'm telling you, my guy, Tony Pollard, I've been hyping him up all summer on the shows. I think he's the best back they have. Well, he's the most dynamic. Now, some of that may be the plays in which he's running, but I think Zeke has his moments, but I don't sense the pop. Yeah. The burst that Zeke had three years ago.

And we talked about it on the Fox Bet gambling show Monday. Couple big injuries in the trenches for the Eagles that happened last weekend. They lost an offensive lineman. They lost a defensive lineman. Both of those guys are veterans, heart and soul of that locker room. I like the Cowboys here. I know the line's coming down against me, but I think Dallas really shows up.

And listen, I know we love to talk cowboys at this network, But Colin, look at that NFC East, okay? It's not very good. I think Dallas really emerges as a team to beat in the division. All right.
