Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel

I'm Michelle McPhee, and I've been unraveling the strangest criminal alliance I've ever reported on.
A Mormon polygamist and an Armenian businessman.
Multi-million dollar house, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, a billion dollar fraud.
But how long can this alliance last?
Tell me what you're.
know is somebody coming after me.

All right, let's bring in the main man.
Chris the Bear Felica.
I've known this guy for many years.
He is a Jets fan, but we won't really talk Jets.
here because who cares about the Moribun Jets?
Chris, first of all, how's your offseason going from college football?
No, we're doing pretty good in the offseason here.
We're just wrapping up from getting a couple of brutal beats there in the elite eight
with Texas Tech and a brutal beat in the championship game with Houston.
But yeah, we're starting to dive into the college football schedules and certainly the NFL
draft for sure.
Yeah, Chris knows as much about college football as anybody I've ever met.
And he's the perfect guy to talk to about this draft.
So let's just assume Cam Ward knows number one.
I'm kind of sort of obsessed with the Browns.
Everybody knows you need a quarterback.
The Browns don't have one.
It's Chador.
Let's just assume there's no tradeback.
Shador, which might be too rich.
Or it's Travis Hunter and like maybe we trade in for Shador later.
Or we take Jalen Milro, your favorite quarterback later.
Or we go after Kirk Cousins.
Chris, first of all, what do you think is Shadour and then B, what would you do if you're advising the Browns?
I think he's fine.
Like, do I think he is a lock, guaranteed franchise changing quarterback?
No, I don't.
But I do think you need to keep in mind with what he did in Colorado.
Two years ago, they had one of the worst offensive lines in the country.
And last year, their offensive line wasn't that much better.
I mean, I do think he's a dynamic player.
I don't know why I'm still hung up on Cam Ward at number one being a lock.
I know I'm not kind of avoiding the question here,
kind of circumventing it,
but if you're the Titans
and your Tennessee and your front office
and your coaching staff is in place
and you've gotten a new stadium,
I would still think about long and hard
about taking Abdul Carter number one,
knowing that next year there's a good chance
you're going to stink again
and you're an enemy in position
for either Nussmeyer or Archmanning
who would be far and away,
the number one pick this year.
But I think if Ward does go number one,
I think if you're the Browns,
what I would do,
I would take Travis Hunter number two, knowing you've got an impact, receiver,
defensive back, whatever you want, and then trade back into the end of the first round,
potentially to get a quarterback or take a quarterback at the top of round two.
All right, so Chris, you know, you and I watch a lot of college football.
You're at games every weekend.
All season, we see Shador Sanders, and he's kind of crushing it.
I mean, 70% accuracy.
I know he's a checkdown artist.
But like you said, no offensive line, no run game.
And all season, we say, oh, he's got to go one or two.
he's definitely one of the best places.
And now here we are with like three months to chew on it
and, you know, get in our own heads.
And suddenly he's like, according to Dane Bruegler,
he's like the 34th best prospect.
I saw Leacher Report at him as like a third round pick.
Daniel Jeremiah has him is, I think, the 19th best prospect.
Talk about the disconnect between what we saw all season
and then what we do in the off season with the film.
I really don't know what it is.
You hear like one thing with the team.
I mean, maybe I'm not going to interview or don't want to go there or whatever it is.
That kind of bothers me a little bit because I am so big on what we saw on the field.
Yeah.
And I don't know how a guy can go from being the favorite to be the number one pick,
which he was back in lock October or November, to being picked, talked about where he's going to go now.
Like, if you look at his over-under, where he's going to go in the draft, it's eight and a half.
So obviously, the people setting these odds aren't really overreacting to what you hear about this guy might go 20 or 21 or 5.
out of the first round completely.
I still do think he's going to go very high.
I think we're going to have him is going to go
or will go higher than where most people think he will.
I think Jackson Dart will go higher than where most people think he will too.
Because again, it only takes one.
Teams love these quarterbacks.
And as a lot of people in the industry say,
like, you'd rather take the guy and miss than pass on the guy
and have him turn out to be great, whatever percentage chance,
that it will be great.
But I can still see Chador going potentially very high.
Even the Giants, I think, could be in position to take him.
Because clearly with Russell Wilson and James, you don't have long-term answers at the quarterback position there.
Yeah.
Let me ask you, you remember a few years back, well, maybe like five or six or seven years,
Mitch Trubisky, who had one good year, vaulted to be a top five pick.
There was another guy, Kenny Pickett.
Nobody had ever heard of him.
He has one good season.
He becomes like the 20th overall picket.
I don't want to put Jackson Dart in that category of like coming out of nowhere.
But Chris, I mean, listen, all season in the SEC, I saw a good quarterback.
I thought mid-round.
Now there's this could he sniff the top 15?
And I just, again, I have an issue with what I watched all season and then where the pundits are putting him now.
Yeah, I think the biggest issue, like you said with Dart, is people who watched that Florida game
on the road where all Ole Miss had to do was beat a Florida team that was down in the dumps at
that point in the air, and they would have been in the college football playoff. And he struggled
immensely in that game. But from everything that I have heard, he's tested off the charts. His
interviews have been fantastic. If you're a team like the Steelers, who are, again, are going to
be in need of a quarterback. The Steelers are never really in a position to, they're never bad enough
where they're taking a quarterback at the top of the draft, and they're never good enough.
where they're contending for a Super Bowl.
So I think Dart, where the Steelers are taking,
and that could be something interesting to look at his draft position right now
with 24 and a half.
I bet the under on that for as much as I could,
because I don't think there's any way he falls out of that top position.
And 24 has also been a position in the draft where that's viewed as like a trade
possible type position with the Vikings who have their quarterback in the future,
maybe a team like the Browns and someone else
might want to trade back into the first round with the Vikings there.
All right, I wanted to warm you up before I just tee you off on Jalen Milrow.
Again, for the Millrow haters out there, go turn on the Georgia game,
and you tell me he's not a potential stud.
Then, after you're done watching that, go watch the Oklahoma game
where he vomited all over himself.
I mean, Chris, those interceptions were just like,
what is he, what's he looking at?
Is this guy a high school quarterback?
So, Milrow, but I can't, you go run that 40 tape,
and he looks like an Adonis.
He looks like he could be low.
Well, that's the thing.
You run the 40 tape, but I mean, that's not what the quarterback position is.
Even in the Michigan, you watch the ball game, too, where we just looked lost.
And who knows?
I mean, he got putting in an offense this year, which was different from what he was used to when the coaching transition took place from Nick Zabin to Kael and DeBore and the new offense there.
It's hard not to be enamored with the athleticism there.
but he's not someone that I'm going to be rushing to take in the first round
or even high in the second round.
Maybe there are quarterback gurus out there and offensive coordinators
and schemes out there that can make something of this.
But to me, it looked like you're looking at a quarterback whose best work is done
where he's just kind of throwing the ball deep to wide-open receivers running around to the college ranks.
I don't see him as a first-round quarterback.
Am I rooting for him to succeed?
I root for all these guys to succeed.
But I'm not quite there.
But the fact that he got invited to Green Bay
leads you to believe that there's a little bit of smoke,
there's fire.
And the NFL obviously must have some getting some win there
that he will be a strong consideration for the first round.
So that would lean toward you'd be over two and a half quarterbacks in the first round?
Absolutely.
Oh, I am absolutely over two and a half.
And I know they posted a big price out there.
you've got to lay like $3 to win $100 on over 2.5.
Because you're going to get Cam Moore, you're going to get your door,
you're going to get Jackson Dart, and get a fourth,
somebody get frisking and take a Jalen Miller or a Tyler Shuck?
I don't know.
But if you could get over three and a half at a nice plus price,
I'll never deter you for making a bet like that.
But yeah, we're absolutely getting free.
If memory serves, Greg Roman was the guy who was hired in San Fran,
to be the OC for Kaepernick? I think that's what it was. And then he was also the guy in Baltimore
with the other Harbaugh brother who spearheaded Lamar Jackson start of his career. So isn't there
a world where you find an offensive coordinator who can build an offense around your athletic quarterback?
Because, again, he's not Lamar Jackson. But remember, Lamar Jackson coming out of Louisville,
nobody was thinking two MVP awards. And Kaepernick, I know he only had a couple years of prime,
but like, again, that was a guy who was like, holy hell, this guy's got some game. So is it
Isn't there a world where you take Milro and build the offense around him?
Yeah, but again, it's just a question of how high do you want to go?
I am always a guy who likes to take the immediate impact player or the guy who you know has a much higher chance of succeeding,
whether it be a pass rusher or an offensive lineman or a DB, like kind of a meat and potatoes type draft analysis is kind of how I view by team building.
Whereas you got a guy who maybe there's a five,
percent chance he's elite but there's a very high bust rate so like if you're a team that's got a
lot of draft stock and you've got a bunch of second and third round picks and you can afford to
take a quarterback like this in the second round and maybe take your chances and and you hit boom then
great but if you're a team with minimal picks and lots of needs I certainly think there's a way you can
go about it doing it better all right you're a jets guy I'm a jet's guy um justin fields is the band-aid
this year. Let's just say
Chador's on the board when the
Jets are drafting. Chris,
do you have to at least consider
Shadour Sanders at 7? Or is that
too much noise and it's going to put pressure
on Justin Fields and the New York
media and all that? Your thoughts?
No, you absolutely
have to consider it because again,
this is a quarterback who had
a ton of run and the
Bears and the Bears cut the cord knowing that he
wasn't the answer. The Steelers
had him last year and the Steelers let him
go. The difference between what the Steelers got him for and what the Jets gave up to give him,
to get him is ridiculous. This is a guy who's not the long-term answer. He's a great guy to
have as a backup quarterback. Quarterback gets hurt. You need to come in. You need to play a game
or two fine. But he's not your long-term answer. I think you would absolutely have to consider
him if you're the Jets when he's on the board. Ideally for the Jets, I think you're looking at
either Tyler Warren or Colson Loveland. Last year, they were very very,
close to taking Brock Bowers.
And we saw the impact that Bowers had at that position.
You've got two guys in Warren and Loveland who can be instant impact players on offense
with the quarterback like Fields who is going to need someone to kind of be a security blanket
on the underneath stuff, make catch and run after the catch type of plays.
I think both of those guys can be obedient impact players.
I'm the Jets.
I'm thinking long and hard about taking Tyler Warren or Colson.
Loveland with that pick.
But to answer your question, if Chudder is there, I would consider it.
Did you say Loveland at 7?
I'm just saying, like, I know Joel Clatt has him rated extremely high on the board.
I wouldn't think Lovelin would probably fall much lower than the Colts.
But Warren, for sure, I think is more than worthy of a top 10.
All right.
Real quick, Ashton Gentie.
I'm sorry.
I just don't see it at six to the Raiders, but it seems like, according to the gambling odds,
he's going to be going that high?
I don't see it either.
If you're the Raiders, with it so much need, I know Pete Carroll's an old-school guy,
why would you take Ashton Genti here when you know in the back end of the running back group,
you've got Treveon Henderson, you've got Quintan Judkins, you've got Dylan Samson,
you've got Camp Scataboo, you've got Caleb John,
you've got a bunch of guys who are going to be there
at the top of the second round.
So I think taking whatever you want to do
with six, offensive linemen, pass rush,
or D, whatever, and then the top of the second round,
you've got a couple of running backs who Chip Kelly's familiar with
from his days in Ohio State there.
I think the bang for your buck is much greater doing that
than taking out running back in six
and what a lot of people think is the deepest running back
group there, but I bet
I bet under 9 and a half at
plus money on Ashton Genty.
You give yourself a little bit of a wiggle room.
If the Raiders don't take him, the bear's pick at 10,
and that's probably the next logical
spot where he would go.
But you can still get over 9 and a half
at plus money on Genty.
So that would certainly be the way I would go,
because I agree with you, Jamack.
I can't see the Raiders why
you could take him at 6 and be good with that.
All right, so earlier this week, I did
over unders, four bets.
like this season. Now it's early. We haven't seen
the order of the schedule, which matters, or
the draft, but I had Falcons over
7 and a half. Lions under
10 and a half. Lyons schedule is
arguably the toughest in the league. Seahawks
under 7 and a half. Commanders under
9 and a half. Anything you love
there or hate, and if you have one, fire
away. Yeah, I like
the way you're thinking with the Vikings under
seven and a half now with the rookie quarter of,
or the Seahawks under 7.5.
But you're bringing Donald
who left Minnesota.
Offensive line is shaky.
You'll lose D.K. Metcalfe.
You know the Rams are going nowhere in that division.
The diners should be back this year.
Maybe not there.
Not 13 and 4 good, but they'll be better.
Cardinals are what the Cardinals are.
They're a frisky team.
Like under 7.5 for me in Seattle, I like the way you're thinking there.
I want to see Darnel do it again without all of those weapons on offense
and that head coach and that scheme.
The only over-under I have bet so far is Giants under five and a half.
I just don't see how in that division with that non-divisional scheduled as well that they're getting six wins.
Interesting.
All right, I'll get you out of here on this one.
I heard you say earlier next year the rounds could take Archmanning or, and I thought you said Nussmeyer.
Is that the kid from LSU?
Yeah.
Oh, my gosh.
Come on.
Anyways, Archmanning spoke today about wanting to be at Texas.
I'm just curious.
Chris, and I don't mean to say.
slight Archmanning. Do we know if
he's good yet? We know about the bloodline.
We don't. I don't think we know.
We don't know if we believe
what we hear from
Texas and in Texas practice
from people that I have spoken with.
The team loves him. The team gravitates to him more than they did
yours and he's been great
and looks the part in whole.
But until he goes out there for him, the sample
size that we got last year, he certainly looked
like the potential was there. But I would
think this year we will certainly find out one way or another.
But again, that's all part of the thing with these quarterbacks.
It's kind of like drafting Shador or Jalen Merrill.
The hope and the hype that these people are going to pat out is great in the allure.
The good thing with a lot of people in college is you're going to get a full year now
of Archmanning to prove it or not.
And the other thing with Arjus, we don't even know for sure he's not going to come back.
Like he's a guy that's
But that
Peyton stayed all four years
Eli stayed all four
Like it's no lot
That he even comes back
It's a good point
Or comes out rather
Yeah I just
Do you are you gonna have an
Arch Manning Heisman ticket
Just like the way like
I'm gonna have a Caitlin Clark MVP ticket
I'm just going to
Just for the fun of it
Arch MVP
I probably will
Just because
If Texas is as good
As they potentially could be
If Texas goes
10 and 2
and wins the SEC, he's probably going to win the award.
But I just hate the price on it.
I did bet Carson Dexter win the Heisman.
Oh, stop it.
Oh, my gosh, I had the ticket last year.
Ripped it up in like September.
Don't look at last year.
Look at the year before.
Last year, he had no wide receiver help whatsoever.
He had offensive line injuries all year long.
Now he's going to be in the ACC with an easier schedule with me.
He's got a neck.
I forgot.
I am a Miami guy.
He's got a game right off of the back.
that, but at the price you're going to get Carl Carson Beck a 20 to 1 to win the
Heism, but why not bet that right now?
That was my thought process last year with Travis Hunter.
Pick off good numbers that they're going to do nothing but potentially go down during
the course of the year.
But 20 to 1 potentially, if Carson Beck goes out and has a great game week one and they beat
Notre Dame, his price is going to be half that.
Great point.
Chris, the Bear Felica.

So how did we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Oh, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

I'm excited for that. Alex Curry with the news.
No, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
Well, Jay Mack, we've done a lot of draft talk today.
We're going to keep it going with the quarterbacks because the Steelers are continuing their quarterback meeting Carousel as they welcome Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord for a visit.
Now, Pittsburgh also plans a visit with Shador Sanders.
And, of course, the team has been linked to Aaron Rogers all offseason.
Now, the Steelers still need a quarterback.
And my question, though, is how serious are they with these young quarterbacks and drafting a quarterback?
Or is this a move to try to kind of lie to fun?
fire for Aaron Rogers and let them know.
We're not afraid to date around and maybe find a younger quarterback.
But they got to do something.
They got to figure out something.
They need a quarterback.
Yeah, it's interesting.
Look at that how it looks on the screen.
Steelers are hosting Kyle McCord and Shadour Sanders.
Shadour's probably like, bro, what am I doing with this guy?
Yeah.
So Kyle McCord's on the NFL draft quarterback prospect.
He's at seven.
Yeah.
If I'm Shadour, I'm like, bro.
No, I'm a top five pick.
He's a second.
He's the second.
Yeah, yeah.
He's number two.
Ohio State didn't even say,
we want you.
They were just like,
you're not the starter next year.
You can look elsewhere.
He goes to Syracuse and crushed it.
Yeah.
But, you know,
Cowherd's a big believer in McCord.
I don't, I mean.
That's kind of the position
the Steelers are in.
They don't have a high first round.
I don't think that Shador is going to drop to the Steelers.
Yeah.
So it also goes into the belief of
maybe Shador is like having the meeting
just in case, but...
But you think this is maybe a nudge to Aaron.
Hey, Roger, we're going to bring in quarterback.
Yeah, also, like, we're, like, no pressure, but pressure, you know?
Like, we need a quarterback.
We need to, like, fill the most important position on the team.
Is it poop or get off the pot?
Stop sitting on the fence.
Decide?
Just, like, make a decision, bro.
Come on.
What do you need another darkness retreat?
Sorry, I know.
Aaron Jones, who was in here early.
He's great earlier this week.
You know what?
He's boys with Rogers.
You do have to credit Rogers, because every single single.
former teammate that has come in and talked about Aaron Rogers sings his phrase.
Well, so the ones that we've had come in, the one that we've had on the show when I've
been in and hearing him talk about it, they all love Aaron Rogers and say that they've done
a lot for their career, not only as a veteran, but this was as a rookie. Like, he's the reason
that like Aaron Jones got pulled in. He said it was literally Rogers like going, hey, I want
him in, put him in now. And that's how we got a shot. I'll be nicer to Aaron. Yeah.
Sorry it didn't work out with you and your jets.
I know you're bitter.
Putting it very mildly.
But he's also like, he is not the same caliber MVP player he was,
but he is still a great quarterback option if you don't have anybody.
So it's just like, is he, where's you going to go?
We're still on Rogers watch.
It's going to Malibu.
Once again.
Well, we know that.
He's listening.
He's looking at the ocean, watching the dolphins and his AirPods.
Okay.
Let's move to Arizona because Mark,
Marvin Harrison Jr.'s rookie season didn't quite go as well as some as predicted.
Four rookie pass catchers had over 1,000 yards, and Harrison was not one of them.
His quarterback, Kylo Murray, talked about how Marvin, as he prepares for a second year.
He said he didn't have the season he wanted to have regardless of the expectations.
I definitely think he could have had a better season and believes that too.
I think something that is underrated is people don't understand, you know, from each level jump,
whether it's high school to college or to the NFL,
there's a level, there's a period where the game has to slow down for you.
But it was also kind of a historic year for rookie pass catchers.
You have four rookies with over 1,000 yards.
I mean, he wasn't too far behind.
Marvin had 885 receiving yards,
but he also wasn't the number one target.
Like all of these other guys that had over 1,000.
yards, they were their number one targets on their team.
Their tight end, Trey McBride was the number one target for the Cardinals.
So, Alex, look at that quote.
Definitely think he could have had a better season.
If you go do a radio show after this and they're like, yeah, how was the show today?
Well, I definitely think Jason could have had a better show.
I'd be like, calling him out.
Excuse me?
It's calling him out.
Calling out the Rook?
Yeah, it's tough.
Well, you did Kyler was awesome and slaying Dragons this year?
Come on.
No, I mean, we know how you feel about Kyler.
Yes, I should.
You went off earlier today.
No, it's okay.
I still think Cardinals are trying to find their identity.
They haven't figured it out yet.
And they're in a tough division.
Like, Rams are going to be great.
We don't know what Seattle's going to be now with Darnold,
but they have Cooper Cup and him,
and maybe it'll work out, both of them in new places.
And the 49ers, like, again, don't know what they're going to be,
but I don't think they're going to finish fourth again.
Like Cardinals are, it's still kind of feeling like they might be the fourth team in the NFC West.
It's just
We haven't seen it yet from
Kyler Murray
Didn't quite have the
I guess you want to say live up to the high expectations
of being that high of a draft pick
because he was drafted fourth
He was the first wide receiver taken
And all the other ones behind him
Had those thousand-eared season
So I mean
That's going to happen when you're a high draft pick regardless
But it's a good player
He grew up in the game
Dad's a legend
So it's like
He's going to figure it out.
He's going to figure it out.
And hopefully him and Kyler can figure it out.
And he becomes his top target because that's also going to help him get the yards and more catches, obviously.
Okay, let's end in the NBA.
The Sons have been a disaster and it's not getting better.
They've lost eight games in a row.
Kevin Durant is hurt.
And there's no real way to get better unless they make a massive trade.
Now, Devin Booker has been committed to remaining in Phoenix, but probably has the most trade value on the roster.
I mean, the writing's on the wall, right?
Katie's going to be traded this offseason.
There were the rumors at the trade deadline,
which I'm sure didn't help with any chemistry
and didn't help with his emotions around staying with the team.
But, I mean, they've only won one playoff series
since trading for Katie against the clippers
and then got swept in the next round against Minnesota.
I mean, they got to do something.
They got to do something to mix it up.
Do you think they should trade?
Booker?
I would keep Booker and do whatever I could to move off Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant.
Booker's a guy.
They drafted him.
Yeah. He wants to stay.
Yeah.
He wants to stay.
Durant's not long for the league.
But he would have the most, he'd have the most value.
Yeah.
So you're going to get the most bang for your mouth with him.
You think Kendall Jenner wants him with the Clippers or Lakers?
I had to get into Kendall Jenner reference.
Well, I'm not doing TikTok really, but someone sent me a great Kendall Jenner TikTok from like two years ago.
And I'm like, that's cool.
I need to get on TikTok more.
That's about the extent of my debit.
talked about this. You're on Instagram, so you'll see the TikToks like two weeks after they
trends. Yeah. All right, Alex Curry with the news. Well, that's the news. And thanks for stopping
by. The Hurd Lie News. All right, Alex and I are symbiotic, I don't even know if that's the right
word, in that we don't like to totally go on social media during the show. You've got to stay
locked in, laser focused, can't be dissuaded by these, you know, keyboard warriors yelling at you.
So earlier in the show, we did top five players.
in the NBA under the most pressure in these playoffs.
Okay? And we'll get it here on the screen in a moment.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call.
about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it
one of the early names of our band
before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast
for people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Another podcast from some SNL, late night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smigel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis, and I know firsthand because I competed
there myself.
I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs Tennis podcast, I'm breaking down everything happening
at Roland Garris, every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on clay.
Jen she went.
I mean, she went down in three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French, me.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lena Rubakina is arguably the best player in the world right now
and I actually can win on any surface
because if she's serving, well, good luck.

Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports.
Truth be told, I came into work today.
Jason Tatum was not on this list.
We were floating names,
and Jason Tatum lands on the list.
And I am, weirdly, the Jason Tatum defender in this building.
He gets so many people taking shots at him from Coward,
the guys on the facility in the morning.
I think Nick and Broussard and those guys,
I think they're not on Tatum.
And now I'm getting yelled at, as I, like an idiot, took a peek
because a buddy of mine who is connected to a Celtics player sent me,
the Lincoln is like, bro, Tatum?
And again, I love Jason Taney.
I think he is an alpha.
I think he's a top five player in the league.
Yes, top five player in the league.
He's going to be all NBA, top five MVP.
Again, led the Celtics in points, rebounds, and assist in the playoffs, and in the finals.
I do kind of sort of by, hey, man, what happening in Olympics ticked him off, you know?
He wants revenge on Kerr and Curry.
They beat him in the finals a couple years ago.
Kerr ends up essentially benching him at the Olympics.
I know there's a, it's a who do you pull out for him?
I mean, play everybody, dude.
It's the Olympics.
You guys are rolling, you know?
I don't want Tatum thinking I'm not a fan, because I am.
And I do take this stuff personally when real good dudes, good athletes, great players.
You know, Tatum is one of these guys, Alex, on IG.
You can't tag him.
He don't want to hear about it.
Smart.
So Kevin Durant, you could tag him, and he'll basically reply to you instantly.
A lot of other players you can tag.
You can't tag Tatum.
He just doesn't.
And I think, and this is a bigger discussion, Alex,
but there are some guys who just don't care what the outside noise is.
And I'm not going to lie to you guys.
There's a world where I'm in that group.
I've been called all the names.
Yeah, I get tweets like Jason Wackintyre.
And I'm like, oh, that's what I don't care, block.
It's done.
You know, I don't mind that these gremlins come after me and say all this stuff.
My wife calls me the unbothered king.
I don't really get rattled by people saying stuff.
or, you know, I'm getting yelled that, I just don't really care.
I'm kind of in my own world.
And I think that could be what's going on with Tatum,
because I don't know that he totally cares about not being the finals MVP.
Do you think he actually cares?
No, it's great.
Listen, if you're not going to ask for advice from these people
and they're not people you take advice from, why would you listen to their feedback?
Who said that?
Somebody said that recently.
It's something I've lived by since getting into this industry and social media
was such a big thing because it's hard when you first get into it.
It's very loud and you have to learn to kind of put your blockers up and stay in your lane.
Paige Bukers, or Buker, she's the one who said it this week.
Yeah, it's ignore.
It's really, it's a smart thing to do.
But also, I don't think it's a big deal saying that he has the most pressure in the playoffs.
You're not saying.
It's not a bad thing.
It's not a bad thing at all.
It just means there's going to be a lot of eyeballs and high expectations on it.
They're not trading.
And he's still great.
Yeah.
He's got nothing to worry about with the trade.
By the way, I still believe my, if Janice asks out, I would give up Jalen Brown and pretty much whatever else and get Janus with Tatum on the Celtics.
Now, that day, I think was one of my spicier takes in the last couple months.
We'll see if Janus ass out.
It was a trending that way.
Pretty decent Thursday show, Alex.
I mean, red hot.
It was solid.
Red hot?
Yeah, we'll be back tomorrow, hopefully.
See you then.
