This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey, guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.

Radio. Played in the NFL for 13 seasons. All these breakdowns are so good on the internet, NFL
network as well, made the playoffs three times. These are that cowboy team that reached the
NFC championship back in the 82.
Brian Baldinger, our friends joining us
live. So I said this.
McCaffrey
touching the ball 27 times
to me, it's just way
too much. I don't like it at all.
And I also think running back's the only
position now in football you can hit from any angle,
anywhere, any time. What did
you make of not pulling him? He had eight
carries and eight touches in the fourth. What did you
make of not taking him out?
Especially up 14 points like
they were, Colin. I mean, he's got 3752
touches so far this year.
Wow.
He still got two games to go.
But, you know, his longest run of the year, Troy Aitman mentioned it last night, 24 yards
into fourth quarter.
Like he seems like he loves it.
He bounces up off the ground.
I know last year he had the injured gear and he had the Achilles issues and he only had 50
carries last year.
So maybe he's a lot fresher this year.
But I don't think he wants to come out of these games.
But if I was Kyle, I would take him out of these games when you have these games.
not save him for the postseason, get him as fresh as possible for the post season.
He's going to get 2,000 yards.
He's going to get 100 catches.
He's going to get over 400 touches.
That's a lot for any running back, especially one that has done that already in his career.
Are you surprised by Philip Rivers?
Yes, I am.
However, you know, this thing right here, this brain of his, the arm obviously has diminished.
He's never run away from anybody in this business.
but he can still breach it with his brain.
He still knows how to diagnose the defense.
I thought it was great last night where they had everybody miced up.
You could hear all the checks, all the signals,
you know, getting the clear outs on third down to Josh Downs,
the touchdown to Alex Pierce.
Like he can still carve you up.
And I thought he's probably the envy of every offensive coordinator at every level
because of what he can do at the line of scrimmage
and what he sees and what he can do to manipulate your defense right now.
The, you know, it's interesting.
I'm watching the Cowboys with George Pickens.
And Flourney has become a really nice little player for them.
C.D. Lam's obviously great.
In your 13 years, and you played in Dallas, listen, wide receiver, D.K. Metcalfe,
Pooka Nakua got in trouble.
It's a very expressive position.
I would say the offensive line is really a unit.
You guys can go camping together.
It's a real unit.
White receiver is a little bit of an NBA player.
It's like, hey, give me the ball.
I'm going to break a guy down.
I get it.
It's an expressive, almost artistic position.
What do you do with George Pickens?
Because he's a matchup issue.
But I look at that position, Brian,
and college furnishes the NFL with about 15 receivers a year that can play.
What do you do with George Pickens?
I would try to sign him if I could.
I mean, you know, you got it like Philadelphia figured it out,
to sign A.J. Brown to sign Saquan to sign Devante Smith, Dallas Goddard. They got everybody signed.
They haven't had an ex-receiver, a guy opposite to tight end, like George Pickens in forever.
And so they've always had a great ex, you know, whether it was Michael Irvin or Des Bryant
or going back to Drew Pearson. And I feel like that's what Pickens is. He's, you know,
he should probably be wearing number 88 in that offense. But CD gets that. I feel like they
still need them. I know it's a disappointing.
season. But he's been a big reason why you want to watch the Cowboys because of his ability
just to be so acrobatic with the ball in the air and then do great stuff with it after the catch.
Did you ever play a team in your career or were you with a team like the Chicago Bears
that can get out played for three quarters? But there is a magical thing. I mean, getting
onside kicks, you know, getting fumble recoveries at the two.
Did you ever have an experience where almost Tebow did this for about a year where you're like,
ah, the football gods are in our favor?
I don't think I played.
I mean, in Philadelphia, we had a team, but we were built around defense when I was in Philly
once the playoff games there.
But what Chicago was doing, I mean, they leave the league and takeaways by a big margin right now.
And, you know, whether it could be a fumbled snap from the center like Green Bay did and they
recovered the fumble or like Washington did at the end of that game where Jay
and Daniels fumbled the handoff and they recovered it and won the game.
That seemed to be the trigger point for this team.
But it's also something about this team where they're never out of it.
And so a lot of that is coaching and a mentality that they have.
But some of the guys that are on that defense, Kevin Beyer is going to lead this league in interceptions.
He's done it before.
You look at Jersey Gardner Johnson.
That guy is a thief, and he always has been.
And so some of those guys are natural.
And Nashon, right, you know, came from Dallas.
And like he knows how to really play that position.
He's beaten out Jalen Johnson.
And so I feel like as long as they keep taking the ball away like they do
and give an extra capacity offense,
they might have a chance to pull off some more of these victories like we have watched.
So I watched Philadelphia, Manhannel, Washington, and really run the ball.
They looked like last year's team.
And Washington is not very good defensively.
But it is interesting.
There are certain players, there's a stat on George Kittle.
This is remarkable.
San Francisco is a losing.
record the last two years when he doesn't play.
And he's worth a touchdown
this year to the offense. And I think a lot
of it's his blocking.
And Lane Johnson's a right
tackle. They're not the same offense.
Is it
intellect? Is it toughness?
Kiddle, Lane John... We don't look at tight ends and right
tackles as a touchdown.
But there is something about those
players, and I'm not exactly sure
what it is. They're different
when they play than when they not.
when they don't.
Well, I mean, Lane is unbeatable, honestly.
Like, I'm good friends with him.
I see him all the time.
Work out in his backyard at his barn.
But he's unbeatable.
Nobody's beating him this year.
I mean, when they would play Dallas with Michael Parsons,
Mike can never beat him.
You know, he just pitches a shutout at right tackles.
You never give him any help.
You never have to slide, protect.
You never have to keep the back in to help him out.
And so the offense is a little bit more aggressive when he's in there.
The quarterback likes to hold the ball to begin with.
It's not a knock on Jalen Hurts.
It's what he is.
But he gets an extra tick when Lane is on the offense and he's got another chance to either run with it or make a throw down the field.
Lane gives you that opportunity.
And then I think when you go in the huddle and Lane Johnson's at right tackle, you just feel like you've got the best tackle in all of football.
And you're supposed to be good.
You're supposed to make these plays.
And I think he gives that whole team, including the coaching staff, another level of confidence when he's out there.
Okay, so you watch a lot of film.
And I suggested something last week.
I said, listen, when you're a bad team, Brian, you have to consider everything.
Free agency, draft, trade deadline.
You have to have meetings with everything.
And so I said, if Fernando Mendoza looks great in his next three starts for Indiana,
and he goes up against Bama and he's just up and down the field.
And Jackson Dart has absolutely in his last four starts,
defensive coordinators have a little tape now.
And he's not quite the same guy.
Now, it may be Scataboo.
It may be other reasons.
He's obviously got some talent.
But don't you have to consider that you can restart the clock, even though it's only a year.
If Fernando Mendoza is blowing through these SEC teams at Ohio State again, don't you have to consider drafting him even though you just drafted Jackson Dard?
Well, I mean, there might be a whole new regime in New York.
You know, maybe Joe Shane isn't there.
next year. And so the new general manager might get a chance to go get their Joe Burrow,
if Fernando is that. I don't know yet. None of us know. But I mean, Jackson Darts got real skills
now. Like the talent around him is awful. I mean, I like to see a receiver that could actually
catch the ball rather than dropping it like Theo does right there. I mean, he's dropped a couple of
them that led to interceptions. I didn't think he saw the field particularly well against Brian Flores
and some of the things that the Vikings were doing on Sunday against those split zero looks at his. But I also
don't think that they prepared him very well for it either.
And so coaching matters in his business.
Just look at Caleb right now with Ben Johnson,
the difference that he is this year.
I'd like to see this kid Jackson Dart
with a really good coach and a team that can build around him.
And I think they're going to be okay with them.
Maybe better than okay.
I think he's got a chance to flourish.
But to answer your question,
should you consider Fernando Mendoza?
Absolutely.
You've got to look at everything in every position.
you look at when the charges drafted Phillip Rivers they had Drew Breeze there
we didn't know that Drew Breeze is going to be a Hall of Fame quarterback but they had a
starting quarterback there and they still drafted you know when they drafted Eli and then
they traded Phillip Rivers but still you've got to consider every position when you're
the New York Giants right now starting with the quarterback yeah you know we were talking about
this past week the Rams special teams have cost them a game against the Niners the Eagles
and the Seahawks the back end
the back end of that secondary?
Not great.
I saw Carolina mow through them.
Are the Rams the best team in that?
If I said to you best team in the league,
it's very hard to be the best team in the league
when I don't trust the back end of your defense
and your special teams routinely loses you games.
Who is your best team in this league today?
Well, it's,
Jacksonville had a very impressive victory in Denver.
I mean, that was a team that won 11 in a row.
They went into their house and they destroyed them.
and that was after Trevor Lawrence got hit
almost every time he dropped back in the first quarter
and they survived the initial onslaught
and they won.
And so they're built the right way.
They play man coverage.
They've got a good front.
This Trayvon Walker had a big old first baseman smit
on his hand for the first for about six weeks
and now that's off and he's terrorizing it.
But I still think the Rams because of,
I still think they're a very good team
because Sean McVeigh's call him plays.
Matt Stafford's probably the MVP.
They might be able to overcome it,
but they lost in Philadelphia because they couldn't protect on a field goal
two times in the fourth quarter, and they lost that game.
But I feel like if you get to Bonte and Puka
and you get the two backs and the healthy offense line of Stafford,
they can outscore opponents.
They probably should have beaten Eagles in the playoff game a year ago in Philadelphia.
I still think they're going to be the toughest opponent for anybody,
despite what you just described, you know,
and the special team woes
and the issues that they've had.
Brian Baldinger, Baldi's breakdowns.
Baldi, have a great holiday.
I see the beautiful tree behind you down there in Florida.
Thank you.
And we'll talk soon, my man.
I look forward to it, Colin.
Have a great holiday of yourself, man.
Happy holidays to you.
Yeah, it is.
I always say in baseball,
you can't win a World Series of the bad bullpen,
but the Dodgers bullpen was bad.
They kind of solved it.
and I look at the Rams special teams and I'm like, I mean, they're moving off kickers and they, it's a little bit of a wreck.
But, you know, the other thing about when you get into tournaments, they may not have to play Seattle again.
Seattle obviously matches it real well with them.
They may never have to play them.
And I don't know quite what to do with Jacksonville.
Be sure to catch live editions of the herd weekdays in noon Eastern 9 a.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio, FS1 and the IHeart Radio app.

Yo, as everybody knows, we're the host of the award-winning Polly and Tony Fusco show.
Yeah.
But instead of us telling you how great we are, here's how Dan Patrick described us when he came on our show.
Quick, knowledgeable, and funny, opinionated.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
What are you doing?
You're interrupting our promo.
Yeah.
He wasn't talking about you.
You took those clips totally out of context.
Oh, yeah, well, after this promo, I'm going to take you out and beat you.
Let me put this into context.
Shut up.
Yeah, anyway, just listen to the Pauley and Tony Fuscoe show on.

Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to a podcast. We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there. But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with the name Hey Jonas, guys? I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say,
Hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is.
getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is,
getting a new one put up in its place.
As long as there's a politics of race in America,
there's going to be a politics of remembering the Civil War.
To get to school, I had to go down Robert Ely Boulevard.
Get to the grocery store, I had to go down Jefferson Davis Parkway.
If you're an historian and you leave out half of what the history is,

I'm Akila Hughes, and Rebel Spirit Season 2 goes deep on both of those things.

We are more than our bodies.
We contain essence.
We contain spirit.

They are just fueling a fire that is really catching.
You'll see what I mean.

Keith Giamonka seemed like a mild matter.
Bernard Suburban Dad, but secretly he became someone else, a master of disguise who went on a crime spree.
At the time, did it seem like a crazy idea?
It seemed very crazy, but I felt so desperate that I felt it was the quickest, easiest way out.
Did you allow yourself to think about how it could go wrong on what that might look like?
No, I didn't want to manifest that.
I was trying to manifest success.
Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
This is going to change my life and my family dynamic forever

J-Mac with the news.
No, no, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
All right, Colin, let's start with Dak Prescott and the Cowboys.
They got eliminated from the playoffs after losing to the Chargers and after the Eagles won.
Dallas, though, they're not sitting any starters and focusing on next season.
Here's Dak Prescott talking about finishing strong.
I guess it's different when you do this.
and no no i'm not firing any shots like
but i've said it over and over like this is our job
like we're blessed you know how hard we've worked
and the sacrifices we've got to even get to this league
i don't know anything else like i'm not going to cheat this game
i'm not going to give this game everything that i have
and that's just that's just how my mind works
he's so good at the podium
he's such a he's such a foxhole guy
you know what i mean you can trust it yeah
anything for you on this will this won't make
Blazance 5 or if it were Sunday, would it make the Blazeman?
I like Dallas, actually.
I think the commanders are so bad defensively.
You look at the PFF ratings when they put them up, like when they play these games and they put up the PFF rankings.
The commander's defense had a lot of guys in like the 60s.
And I think Dallas plays with a lot of pride.
And I think Dallas's offensive personnel is pretty good.
Yeah, I'm with you.
Dallas for sure here.
It looks like Quinn Williams will get back.
They could get no pressure on Herbert at all, so the cornerbacks got cooked.
You know what?
They'll get pressure on Josh Johnson.
I mean, Marriota's not going to play.
Colin, a third string quarter.
I'm surprised, this is only seven.
I think there's a great bet.
And a great teaser leg, down to Cowboys just win.
I know the defense stinks.
Any concern about, like, Dak risking injury here late in the season?
No.
I think, Dak, I think he wants to play.
And I think they, listen, I, you can't ask guys.
guys like DAC are going to show up and grind.
So I think this is, listen, Dallas,
Dallas, this future is better than people think.
I don't love the staff.
But there's a lot of elements here I do like.
They got to clean up the back end of their defense.
Good luck.
Well, I mean, Caleb Down.
We talked about cap hits.
Like, Dak has a huge cap hit.
What do you do with Pickens?
If you nail, the other receiver,
C.D. Lamb and Flournon.
I think he's a pretty good player.
He has looked good.
He got dinged up and a dirty hit by the Chargers.
But I just don't see a path to success next year for Dallas.
They can't get demonstrably better this offseason.
There just isn't a war chest of picks.
There's no money in free agency.
If you went out and got an elite coach and nailed your first two picks.
Oh, we're moving off Shottie.
I'm just saying if they lose the next two weeks, I don't think they're going to,
but they're going to replace Iber flus.
but Jerry, you know, Jerry spends money on a lot of stuff,
and he's usually really good about this,
but he's kind of gone discount on coaching.
Yeah, I don't.
If you ask me, will they make the playoffs next year?
Yes, no.
I would bet no right now.
I just don't see it.
Let's move on to the NFL went and announced some pro bowlers today.
For some reason, they announced six quarterbacks
for both the AFC and NFC.
Stafford, Darnold, Dack, in the NFC,
Drake May, Josh Allen, and Herbert in the AFC.
Herbert.
Herbert.
How about that?
Finally acknowledging.
Look at that.
Look at that.
Justin Herbert, pro bowler.
Cement that.
Embed that in your mind.
All the critics out there of Justin Herbert.
Are there critics of Justin Herbert?
Oh, he doesn't want a playoff game.
What does that mean?
Listen, there's a lot of unintelligent people.
If that's your argument against Herbert,
he doesn't want to playoff game.
Like, what?
Yeah.
I mean, I think there's a credible argument.
He should finish top three in the MVP.
P-vote.
Dan Marino had Don Shula, the winningest coach ever,
and has a losing playoff record one trip to the Super Bowl.
It is hard to win in January.
It is, especially when you're a, I mean, Dan Marino,
warm-weather quarterback, especially if you're a dome or a warm-weather team,
because you're often going into lousy cold weather,
and you're just not, you're not ready, you don't plan it.
Yeah.
How about this?
Oh, look at that stats.
Sam Darnold, back-to-back Pro Bowls.
Oh, interesting.
Different teams.
That's your boy.
How about that?
Sam Darnold, a two-time.
pro bowler.
Yay.
Somebody never quit on him.
Oh, geez.
All right, let's go to the NBA to wrap up, Colin.
Interesting scenario last night,
unfolding on the Golden State bench.
Here's Steve Curran, Draymond Green, going at it.
Assistant coach Jerry Stackhouse steps in,
and then you see a Warriors player get up and step in.
I think that's Moses Moody.
Meanwhile, not seen his Steph Curry on the bench
just burying his head in a towel.
Like, gosh, I can't believe I got to put up with this crap.
Colin, I mean, listen
Let's first, let's go to the sound
Before we go off on Draymond Green
But here is leaving the bench
I know he's your guy from podcasting
But anyways, here's Kerr and Dremond after the game
We had it out a little bit
And, you know, he made his decision
To go back to the locker room to cool off
He didn't play the last 20 minutes
Would you have gone back to it?
No, no, no, he wasn't going back in
And was that a decision by him or you?
Well, he left.
He went back to the locker room
And so we've moved forward.
Temper spilled over, and I just thought it was best that I got out of there.
I don't think there was a situation where it was going to get better.
Two adults there got a little, I mean, Kerr's intense and Draymond's intense.
Leaving the bench and going to the locker room and not coming back for 20 minutes?
That's not mature behavior, Colin, from a veteran leader.
Well, you would hope he'd stick around, but it's long.
season. You'd hope he would stay on the bench as opposed to go to the locker
room to cool off. What is this? A fifth grader getting sent to his room? Give me a break. This is
deplorable behavior. Well, I think that's overstated. I think when you have worked,
when a coach has been an intense coach, Michael Jordan once punched her. He yells. He's intense.
He's, he's smart. He's intense. Those were timeout. Those were teammates, friend. Okay.
This is a totally different scenario.
This is a player going off on the coach and then walking away from his team.
I could argue, Draymond Green quit on his team last night.
He went to the locker room.
You know what, Colin, one time, next time you're here, I'm going to be out and happy with a segment.
We're going to bark and then I'm just going to walk away.
You tell me when I'm invited back to be on the show again.
Well, you got five other players sitting there.
It's not like you...
I don't know.
I think this is easy.
I think this just happens in relation.
relationships. It's, it's, Draymond can be a bit combustible, but it's not, listen, this team's got
way bigger issues than that. They're old, they're small, they're not, Cominga doesn't work
again with Curry. I mean, if you want to say that Drame, I mean, honestly, if somebody, how about this
trade, Draymond, Kamenga, and a draft pick for Anthony Davis? Yeah, please, just get him out of town.
We don't need that toxic personality around Steph Curry, a class act. What are the ambassadors of the league?
I mean, hell.
I mean, it's Draymond.
Really?
It's disappointing, man.
There was a time when I liked Drayvon like, I don't know, eight years ago.
I can't believe you're actually defending him even a little bit.
I would just say that you don't want to overreact to these situations.
The NBA, Major League Baseball, these long seasons.
Something's going on with Drayvon.
Because earlier this week, we saw him get into it with a guy on the Suns,
and he was yelling at it.
He, like, kind of shoved him in the head and kept calling him white boy.
I think it was Gillespie.
Yeah.
I was like, what are you doing, Dremont?
Not great.
Like, sometimes you don't know what people have going on off the court.
That's right.
Maybe there's something.
But this behavior, this is just embarrassing.
I don't want to see them on the court on Christmas Day.
They got Cooper Flagg and Steph Curry.
Okay, these are ambassadors of the league.
Cooper Flagg could be the future of the league.
I don't need these sideshow acts mucking it up on Christmas Day.
No.
J. Mack with the news.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Hurd Lie News.
Uh, yeah, I mean, the Golden State, I think it's very difficult.
I think after that went over the Celtics, they should have kept Curry and moved a lot of the parts.
Uh, they're just, the West is too deep, too young, too athletic, and that's part of the frustration, in my opinion.
It's the herd.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And we were thinking I'm originally calling it.
One of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
people could call in and say, Hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy,
not quite on Humor Me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

your podcasts. Last night, a blown call changed a game. This morning, the internet lost its mind. Highlights
are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where
Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo. Every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the plays,
the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines. We go straight to the source,
the athletes themselves, their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to
hear. The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real. From viral,
moments to historic games, from buzzer beaters to controversial calls, we break it down,
give you context, and ask the questions everybody wants answered.
SportsLice brings you closer to the action with stories told by the people who live them.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is.
Getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole.
whole lot easier than it is. Getting a new one put up in its place. As long as there's a
politics of race in America, there's going to be a politics of remembering the Civil War.
To get to school, I had to go down Robert Ely Boulevard. Get to the grocery store, I had to go down
Jefferson Davis Parkway. If you're an historian and you leave out half of what the history is,
you're not doing your job. I'm Akila Hughes. In Rebel Spirit, Season 2 goes deep on both of those
things. The fights, the politics, the people who won, and my personal campaign to add something to the
Kentucky State House that's actually worth the wall space.
We are more than our bodies.
We contain essence.
We contain spirit.
How do you represent that?
They are just fueling a fire that is really catching.
You'll see what I mean.

Keith Gianmanca seemed like a mild-mannered suburban dad, but secretly, he became someone else,
a master of disguise who went on a crime spree.
At the time, did it seem like a crazy idea?
It seemed very crazy.
But I felt so desperate that I felt it was the quickest, easiest way out.
Did you allow yourself to think about how it could go wrong
and what that might look like?
No, I didn't want to manifest that.
I was trying to manifest success.
Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
This is going to change my life and my family dynamic forever,
because everything that had existed prior in my reality is now untrue.

Yeah, it's funny.
I mostly stay off all the social media stuff, have people do it for me.
But occasionally during the football season, people make good suggestions on topics,
and it's all kind of scam through it sometimes because people have good ideas on stuff.
And I remember about four or five, six weeks ago, somebody, it's like, Colin, I mean, what is this, the Chicago Bears show?
Folks, one of the great watches in the league.
The quarterback's incredible.
Their games are all close.
They're all come from behind.
I thought the Bears Packers game honestly may have been the game of the year in the NFL.
Seattle and Rams have played a couple of beauties.
But by the way, Chicago, San Francisco next week is the game of the week.
So it's like when I was in L.A., you're like, well, you're very favorable to L.A. teams.
Well, let's see.
The Rams and the Chargers will both make the playoffs.
The Lakers are pretty interesting.
I don't know.
the Dodgers are the best baseball dynasty, arguably since the 75 Cincinnati Reds.
I mean, what do you want me to say?
L.A.'s got great coaches.
They got good owners and great coaches.
The Bears are fascinating.
I mean, it's a fascinating watch, full of personality, winning late, close games.
And, you know, when you're playing the Packers and the Bears, doesn't that sound big?
That sounds like a big game.
Bears, Niners, that sounds like the game of the week.
Here's Nick Wright earlier on the continued development of Caleb.
If you were to ask me, Colin, here are 15 traits that make a quarterback,
you make up a NFL quarterback.
Pick one that is most fixable, I would say not great at layups.
The stuff he is great at is not, not only is it not fixable, it's not teachable.
And so give me the guy who has the inherent greatness in him and then pair him with someone like Ben Johnson, whose job it is to help him with the other stuff.
I know the other thing we talked about the Bears is we had a graphic earlier.
It's crazy.
Of the eight division leaders, the kind of nerdy, mathy, cap hit reality, if you look at the division leading quarterbacks,
the highest cap hit.
I do apologize to the radio audience.
There's a lot of numbers on the screen,
but here's the easiest way to digest it.
Of all the division leading quarterbacks,
eight of eight,
have a cap hit of 16th or lower,
most in the 20s.
Your quarterback of fortune,
good luck.
I mean, Aaron Rogers deserves credit.
He had the Steelers over a barrel.
Mike Tomlin was getting heat and he's like, no, I want better weapons.
Well, he told the Steelers, it's not about money.
Here's the number I'm looking at.
That allows them to go get D.K. Metcalfe, Kenneth Gainwell, who didn't cost a lot from Philadelphia, but he's a great weapon.
The untold story of Rogers that's not getting a lot of play is his cap hit is $14 million bucks, and he's playing great.
And I do think as you age and you've got $150, $200 million net worth.
I do think, I've always said this, don't chase money in my business, chase good management or good bosses.
There's money out there.
There's not a lot of great management in all my years doing this.
I've been very fortunate for the record.
But I think in the same thing, when you're an older quarterback and you've made your money, don't chase the money.
Now, Matt Stafford makes good money.
He's a big cap hit.
But it's not.
Remember, the Raiders offered more for Stafford.
And he's like, no, no, no, I'll take less.
and live it in California, you're going to make less than 50 cents on the dollar.
I mean, you are anyway.
So, I mean, that's just the reality of the tax situation in California, good or bad.
So only one quarterback in this league is a major cap hit and is a playoff team right now.
And that's because he has maybe the best coach and a roster where they have stolen talent,
Puka fifth round, Kyron Williams, fourth or fifth round.
They don't miss on defensive draft picks.
that is the mathy part of football that nobody discusses.
Yeah, the team building that we love.
So you talked a lot about Caleb Williams.
Let me ask you a question, Colin Coward.
Of these seven quarterbacks going into the playoffs currently,
who do you have the most faith in?
Not based on skill.
I'm just talking about playing football this season.
Every quarterback.
In order in the NFC.
Sam Darnold of the Seahawks.
Caleb, Jalen Hertz,
Bryce Young,
Brock Purdy,
Staffordy, Stafford, and Jordan Love.
Stafford.
Stafford would be one.
Okay.
Where does Caleb Williams rank?
Just trust.
I'm not talking about his...
Okay, you're talking NFC.
I would go...
Let me write this down.
I'd go Stafford, number one.
I don't disagree.
I would probably do Jordan Love number two.
I like Jordan Love a lot.
I do two, but...
Okay.
Number three?
Give me the quarterbacks again.
Let me...
So you have not done Darnold.
You haven't done Hertz.
You haven't done Bryce Young, Brock Purdy,
or Caleb.
Donald.
Darnold.
Darnold above Purdy.
Okay.
Fair enough, whatever.
No, I would put, you know, remember, it gets cloudy in the playoffs.
I do, um...
Not in Santa Clara.
Actually, it doesn't say, I would say, I don't even know what to do with Jalen Hertz.
I really don't.
I honestly, it's like, I would probably do, I would probably do Purdy 4 because of his coach.
And if Kettle is healthy.
So then Hertz would be five.
So Caleb Williams, of the Bears, would come in sixth ahead of
Bryce Young, correct? Well, dude,
it's his first year with his staff. That's what
I'm talking about, man. I feel I'm worried about
the Bears. So if you do the AFC,
it's the same thing. I like Bo Nix. He'd probably
be four or five or six. No, he'd be six or
seven. Aaron Rogers and Bo Nix are at the bottom for
sure. Well, I, you know, I trust
Aaron would be fine. I mean, Aaron's limited. They have one receiver
I like. Aaron may have more playoff appearances
than all those quarterbacks combined. I would trust
in this, I would trust.
Allen will play well. Herbert will
play well. I like Drake May.
I like Drake May a lot.
You guys, I told you thought I was crazy.
You and I, when we disagree on a pick, you've often had a better success than I have.
I think you've come to your reality on Drake May.
I'm the dope who liked Drake May over Jane Daniels.
And all last year I got it thrown to my face repeatedly.
You were right.
Now, remember Drake May in North Carolina was awesome, man.
That guy threw a deep ball.
He was just raw.
Remember Belichick didn't like his feet.
He was raw.
but his comp, and it was really accurate, was Justin Herbert.
Gerard Mayo started last season.
It was like, we're playing our best quarterback.
And it was like Jacoby Brissette or something.
And Drake May is sitting here on the bench.
Like, May's awesome.
But again, I think Bo Nix is probably six or seven here.
But that sounds like a criticism.
But Bo Nix and Caleb, they're just kids.
I mean, they're young.
I get it.
So that's why I'm nervous about them.
I know you're gassed up about those two.
it's going to be a really rough go for May,
Knicks, Caleb, a lot of first-time
quarterbacks in the playoffs.
Bryce Young, the track record is brutal.
The lights are bright.
There's tons of tape.
The defensive coordinators are elite.
I mean, this is going to be a very interesting playoffs.
I have no idea who's coming out of the AFC or NFC.
None.
I would feel confident about the Rams, but after that.
I am really, you know what really is interesting to me?
Everybody loves Rable.
We all know Drake May is good.
their receiving group, which everybody thought was a weakness,
go look at the data on their receiving group.
Solid.
Oh, solid.
Above average.
It's top three in big plays in the league.
Yeah, against the weekend schedule in the answer.
Paul Williams, Hunter Henry, Matt Collins,
uh, uh, booty.
Booty.
I love that.
I love booty, that kid.
I love that kid.
I love booty too.
Hey guys, it's us.
