You can argue McCaffrey more than Mahomes is the most valuable player. McCaffrey has to play well for the Niners to win.

Mahomes and that defense could be, that defense could decide the game. A turnover and interception. Hard to see the Niners winning if McCaffrey is bottled up. Hard to see that. Define bottled up. What if McCaffrey has 70? 42 yards rushing and 25 yards receiving. You think is that?

That's okay. To me, he's got to get into the end zone. He's a touchdown magnet. He's got to have about 135 total yards. Oh, wow, okay. But that's not, I mean, that's 88 rushing and a couple of, peels off one screen for 30 yards. I mean, it's...

How is this anybody but pretty? If he's making mistakes the way he did the last two rounds, they're not going to win the football game, right? That's basic. And this defense is better, and the game's bigger. But if he's playing like he did in the regular season when he was slaying left and right. against inferior teams that aren't good enough to get to the playoffs.

Removing the Baltimore. I just remember he got out dueled by PJ Walker. Stop it. The kicker shanked a field goal at the end or we're not even mentioning that game. By the way, rookie kicker drafted in the third round for the Niners against what's his face for the Chiefs who's been to like four Super Bowls. No, Chiefs have. Wait until we get to the end of the show and you start matching up units. I think you'll be surprised.

So why San Francisco favored? I think it's the run game. I honestly think it's San Francisco's run game, Debo Christian. That is the primary weakness of Kansas City. And I can see a game in which they control the clock. What would worry me about Purdy is he's had two bad halves. Those are the scripted halves. He's been better late.

You wouldn't think a young guy in the seventh round would be better late in games. He would be better on script. Jordan Love this year was better on script. Young quarterbacks are. So it's hard to, it's just hard. to kind of get your brain around that Purdy's been better at living than he has been on Kyle's script. I don't know. I don't have an explanation. Busy time. Always appreciate their support. Albert Breer in Vegas, Monday morning quarterback, joining us now live. A lot of things going on in Vegas. First of all, there's a lot of talk about this whole Andy Reid retirement. I don't necessarily buy it. Also, Travis Kelsey acknowledged this year that regular seasons are adding up. He's had 10 surgeries.

I'm not sure if that's the exact number. think it is. What do you make of the, like there are, we saw this with Gronk, he gets older. You see other players that Gronk was eventually talked back into it. If I said to you, Kelsey or Reed retired, which one would you pick and kind of broaden this out for us? What do you know? I think, yeah, I think Kelsey's more likely to retire of the two. You know, Andy Reed, he's at the age now and it's been coaching for 25 consecutive years as a head coach in the NFL. There's a toll that that takes. But everybody that I've talked to that's worked with Andy, that knows Andy doesn't see it happening at this point with Mahomes there with the team being in the

position that it's in there's a lot of young talent on that roster still and I mean one anecdote that I keep getting over and over and over again from column people is no matter how early you get there or how late you leave in that Kansas City parking lot there's Andy Reed's car so that's not a guy who is burning out you know what I mean he still enjoys the work and he's obviously got a great quarterback. You know, as for Travis Kelsey, he's done a phenomenal job turning it around over the last couple of weeks. He's played great in the playoffs, and that's a credit to him. But you can certainly see over the course of the 17-game regular season that he wasn't quite the same. And the injuries had kind of started to pile up. And I know other teams felt like he wasn't the same guy, which is

why the Eagles or why the Chief's offense struggled a little bit through the year. And one reason why they've come on is because he's been able to summon something over the last couple of weeks, but doing that's a lot different than getting ready to play an entire NFL season. I think this would be absurd, but the Niners haven't won a Super Bowl since 94. They've had arguably the best roster the last six years, five years in the league McCaffrey only added to it. If Shanahan loses, any pressure, or do we just say he lost to Mahomes? How do you feel about a Niners lost Kyle again in a big spot just short? No, I mean, I would say no.

I think they feel really good about where they are organizationally from the owner on down. You know, it's funny, Colin. A lot of teams, I think, want to try to become the Apple of pro football, the Microsoft of pro football. You see the new owners, David Tepper, Josh Harris. These guys want to become that, right? The Niners have achieved it organically. I mean, one of their top guys is, I mean, arguably the original football analytics guy in Parag Marath. John Lynch has done a great job as GM.

He's consistently replaced scouts in his department. Kyle Shanahan, of course, one of the best three or four head coaches in the league. He's continued to replace his staff. And, you know, the roster's going to go through some turnover over the next few years. There's no question about that as the core ages out. But I don't think there's any question that the guys at the top of the Niners organization, and in particular, Jed York, feel like they've got the right people leading the charge. You know, we said this, you know, we always do this segment tomorrow

headlines today we try to kind of predict what's going to happen and I did say that we've never just we've never said Russell's better than Jordan despite the fact that Bill's almost got twice as many titles right like it's not just Don Shula has the most wins he's not really in the discussion of best coach although he's respected Chuck Knowles got all sorts of trophies but Don Shula's kind of viewed historically a notch above noll perhaps I don't think it's a LeBron MJ thing where like there's no chance, you know, they're just people that are die-hards

on Michael, the shoes, the apparel, the image. If Mahomes wins another, do you think Monday the discussions are, forget the number of trophies, that's the best thing we've ever seen at quarterback? It depends on the context. I think if you're talking about, like,

legacy, no, he's not close. I mean, Brady has seven. It's hard to beat that. And I think that's one reason why Montana was regarded that way for so long because he had four. So just as far as like the total legacy, all of it, Brady's still the king and Mahomes has a long way to go. If we're talking about the peak of their careers, though, and what they meant to their

teams, that's where we could be talking about something else. That's where I think Mahomes is creeping into the discussion. And then the question becomes, will he have the longevity to challenge the legacy piece of it? And, you know, I had an interesting conversation with Matt Nagy after they beat Baltimore in the AFC title game. And Nagy said to me, he's like, you know, everybody looks at Patrick as this happy-go-lucky guy who loves to play football, and he is all of that. But he's got this dark side.

And it's this super competitive, I can't lose. Like, no matter what, I'm going to will my team to win. And you saw it in some of the individual plays in the AFC title game, obviously the one to Kelsey on that third down where he's falling away and finds a way to get the ball to him. That competitive piece, I think is what could get him there from a legacy standpoint. point because that's what Brady had. If there's one thing those guys have in common, I think it's that, is that competitiveness

that just won't let it ever be enough, you know? And so, I mean, I think Mahomes got a lot of years to go as far as the legacy goes, but when you're talking about the peak of his career, versus the peak of Brady's career, that's where we can have a discussion. So, I had talked to people in Caleb Williams' camp

last week, I think, they don't want to be viewed as anti-Chicago. And listen, you have a dad with a big personality, you have a son who is tremendous. There's a lot of people talking, and I have some proximity to that. And it's not ideal. Chicago can't get quarterback right in my entire life.

The Justin Fields, though, I think they're going to draft him number one. Is there, I mean, Schifty goes on and says they could get a one for him. I'm like, take it now. Three and twelve in division, fourth quarter, passer rating, completion rating, lowest in the league.

you think there's any chance Chicago says we're going to run it back with Justin Fields the only way I could see that is if they were somehow forced to trade the number one pick if like Caleb Williams were to put his foot in the ground and say no I'm not playing there and pulled an Eli Manning from 2004 maybe in that scenario they're not in love enough with Drake May or jaden Daniels where they would say like yes we're going to invest in this guy and go and trade Justin Fields I just think Caleb Williams is on another level like Caleb Williams is seen by talent evaluators that I talk to. And I'm not saying he is these guys now, but just as far as coming out, what he is

is a prospect, Elway, Manning, Trevor Lawrence, Andrew Luck, like he's that type of prospect. Once every few years, a guy like this comes along. So I think having the number one overall pick gives the Bears the unique opportunity to get that type of guy, which is another level from all these other guys we're talking about. Maybe it becomes a little bit more of a discussion if it's Fields versus Drake Mayer, Fields versus Jane Daniels because the bear is traded down. And then you have to consider that Marvin Harrison could be part of the equation too. It's really interesting to look at this like from three dimensions because I do think

that there's a lot that's going to go into it. And I think Fields will have some trade value. I don't think you'll get a one for him. But teams I've talked to think the Bears would be able to get maybe a day two pick plus a day three pick for him maybe from one of these teams that's drafting and the teams that needs a quarterback that isn't in position to trade up and go get one of the top three guys. Rex Ryan Cowboys, D.C. reportedly interviewed. Do you buy that?

I thought, I think it'd be fascinating. Is Rex Ryan a viable Cowboy coordinator? Well, from a content standpoint, it'd be fantastic, right, Colin? Yeah, I think if you look at Jerry Jones's history over the last 15 years, he has almost uniformly put very experienced defensive coordinators in place, right? go back to the beginning with Jason Garrett, Rob Ryan, Monty Kiffin, Rod Marinelli, then Mike McCarthy comes over, Mike Nolan, Dan Quinn, three of those guys have been head coaches.

All of them had been defensive coordinators before, and then you look down the list of who Jerry's looking at. It's Mike Zimmer. It's, again, Rex Ryan. It's Ron Rivera. So his tendency has been to go with experience and pairing an experienced defensive coordinator with an offensive coach. So I think, you know, having the discussion with Rex Ryan makes sense,

whether they go through with it over somebody like Zimmer, I have a harder time seeing. The Jones family, I'm telling you, Colin, the Jones family loves Mike Zimmer. They had him there from 2001 to 2006 as their coordinator. I'd say he's one of the five or ten favorite coaches that that family has had over the last 20 years. So if Zimmer wants it, I think Zimmer probably winds up as the defensive coordinator.

Good stuff. So he thinks they could get a couple of picks for Justin Fields. Like a second and a fourth? What do you? Robust market for Justin Fields. I know. Second and a fourth more likely than our first. I don't know what Jeffter's talking about.

I would be stunned. I went down the standings. Who's giving up a one? Like certainly nobody in the top 15 is giving up a first for Justin Fields. That's not happening. I'm thinking somebody way late. And those are the good teams that have good quarterback. Yeah.

The further you go in the first round, the better the quarterbacks you have. I mean, who, I'm trying to think, I don't have the draft order specifically, but who needs a quarterback in the bottom six? Bottom six? Nobody. I mean, your last, your last sever. Pittsburgh is lingering. Are they giving up a one for Fields? I don't know.

I don't see that. Is he that much of an upgrade over Pickett? Well, athletically he is, but winning he's not. Jay Mack with the news No No no no Turn on the news This is the

Max Mad Max spoke about How chasing down Mahomes saying he runs to create Time and Opportunities down the field You have to prepare to hunt For four quarters You need everyone on that same type of energy.

I'm just curious. This 49ers defense has not looked great. Bosa has had a pretty good postseason. Chase Young, not great in the postseason. If people are paying to take, Kansas City's defensive front all year, nine more sacks, 26 more hurries than San Francisco.

Chase Young hasn't delivered. Armstead depends. Bosa O is great, but can be doubled. It's not what you think. Kansas City's defensive front. And Kansas City's young linebackers, they may not be Fred Warner, are outstanding. And they have a better secondary. Kansas City has a better secondary, super athletic at linebacker, and a better pass rush. People just don't realize it.

So the Ravens are loaded at linebacker, right? Roquan Smith, Patrick Queen, and then they have Kyle Hamilton, the safety. They could not slow down Kelsey at all. He had like eight catches in the first half. Do you think Greenlaw, Warner, do you think they can slow Kelsey? because if not, Mahomes is just going to run around and pick up yards on the ground. I think Kansas City needs to run the football. San Francisco has to run the football to win.

Kansas City probably needs to, but doesn't have to win. I think their defense is going to create a Brock Purdy turnover. I think they have better special teams. I think there's a way San Francisco has to win. I think there's several ways Kansas City can win. I don't see San Francisco's sort of average pass rush this year by their standards. I don't think it's, although I will say Kansas City's tackles are not elite. So maybe that's the secret sauce that Bosa just has a three-sack day and terrorizes Mahomes.

Well, Wilkes, historically the Niners defense under Demico Ryan's, under Robert Sala. They don't blitz a lot. They want to get home with four, drop back into their, you know, curious little zone coverage. They're not going to blitz. It feels like it's going to be Bosa and Young getting home or not. If Thune comes back, the offensive linemen for the Chiefs, big edge there in the trenches? Because we know San Francisco's offensive line has not been great.

No, they have a great lack tackle. Other than Trent Williams. That's it. So we're the edges for the Niners. I'll ask for like the 17th time this week. Why are they favored? Well, I think it's the run game. I think they see, I think Vegas and wise guys see a veteran team,

much more big game experience outside of Kelsey and Mahomes. Chris Jones, big game experience up and down the roster against a bunch of kids. Rishi Rice is a kid. The defense is mostly kids. And I think in big games, but I will say this, will we have a feeling out first. All those Patriots Super Bowls was a feeling out first quarter. Brady didn't get into the end zone. It was all field goals.

We have two super creative coaches. Are we going to have a wild first quarter? Like, because these two teams, wild meaning offensive explosion? Their creativity, I can see Shanahan saying, we're facing Mahomes. We've got to have some explosion plays here. We've got to have some fireworks. And I can see Mahomes saying they think, you know, we don't have receivers. Remember the last time we saw Sanford, the Kansas City and the Super Bowl against Philadelphia?

They were doing red zone stuff. That was all sorts of creative. You know Andy's got, you know Andy's got a trick player three. I think the buy week will slow the momentum, right? The Chiefs have been so good in his postseason. I think this by week slows things down. The Niners can recalibrate, fix those early mistakes. So that's one of the reasons I bet San Francisco first half.

Next up, a lot of hype for your chargers. I'm going to call them your chargers from here on out because I got your guy, Jim Harbaugh, and his introductory press conference, Harbaugh talked about winning multiple Super Bowles, something franchise has never done. and new GM Joe Hortez echoed Harbaugh's goals at his intro presser. I've had a couple chances elsewhere. He's always been at the top of my list as a guy I wanted to work with. And we've talked about that.

Before I got the interview here, we talked about Batman and Robin, and certainly that's the way we're going to operate. The only thing is I'm not wearing tights, all right? I may put a cape on, but I'm not wearing tights, all right? And we're going to get those multiple championships. We're going to do that. We're going to bring you a trophy, Dean. We're going to get it done.

I got four boys. I got two rings. We're getting the other two at least, and we're going to keep trying to go. Well, that's pretty out there. I mean, that's a pretty big swing there. Not one, not two, not. That's a big swing.

You know what? I think the Chargers need it. I don't think they have a lot of swag. I think Harbaugh gives them attitude. And they don't have attitude. Philip Rivers, about eight years talking trash was their attitude. But they don't have a lot of that. And in football, Baltimore's got it.

San Francisco's got it. Rams have it. Philadelphia's got it. A little swag. A little swagger. I think Jordan Love's interesting player. He's got a little bit of it. Really? Yeah, I think I think LeFleur is understated. I think Jordan Love, once he starts putting up Ws, he'll have a little edge to him. I like it. I think football you can get away with it. You got the Packers in the Super Bowl next year? I think they're, I think they're very viable for the NFC championship. I did my I did my, I did my, no, no, I've already done my standings for next year. I got Green Bay. Wait, wait, you mean pre-draft, pre-free agency, right?

Well, I'm waiting until all the coaching hires are done. They're done. So, after the Super Bowl, probably Tuesday, I do my first introduction. Then I'll do one after free agency, after the draft, and then I'll do one before the season. I do four in the off-season. Have you looked at a certain AFC East? Who do you have winning that yet? Just that to ask.

Final story is... Buffalo. Former Boston College head coach Jeff Halfey. surprised a lot of people when he decided to come the Packers' new defensive coordinator leaving a head coaching job in the ACC. Colin, we talked about how the NIL has impacted the sport. Halfly admitted it was a big factor in his decision. A lot that goes into it that being a head coach that you just, you would never think about. And now that I'm also the general manager and you're trying to manage the cap that you really know what the cap is and your fundraising.

And, you know, there's a lot of things. I mean, I want to coach football. I know. I mean, I said you earlier, like, I want to coach more defense this year than I did last year. And now it's just prioritizing, like, how am I going to not do this? I got to coach again. I miss coaching DBs. Yeah.

But how am I going to do that? Yeah. And that's what I need to figure out. Hmm. No, I, no, I, coaching DBs versus managing the NIL salary cap? I don't know, man. I think I, now, B.C. is not a great job. It's not a top 50 job.

Yeah, there's no pressure. They're not firing you if you don't make the playoffs. But he's probably making two bills a year. Maybe he got the same. at Green Bay, but I would say, like, Chip Kelly, at some point it's like, if I don't have a collective in the Big Ten, if it's the eighth to ninth biggest collective,

it's in line with Rutgers, then it's not realistic to be able. Build a collective. That's fun. That's not a coach's job. A job is to recruit and develop players. I have to sit out and develop. A coach's job used to be. Yeah, then you're going to lose a lot of guys.

Harbaugh by, Sabin, by, J. Wright, by. You're going to lose a lot of guys if you ask him to be, administrator first, coach second, see ya. I would have no interest in it. If you made me sell this show, part of my job, it's a much less attractive job. I'd rather have a sales force. Well, I don't know that that's an apples to apples comparison because...

It's mostly phone calls. tedious, annoying. You could hire someone who do that for you. Well, so could an athletic department. But you're asking coaches to be like literally manage the cap. Yuck. You're a college coach. an NIL salary cap manager.

That's in new positions, new jobs, things are changing. A lot of... Bro, podcasting was not a thing 10 years ago, was it? Not a handful of podcasts. Now it's a billion dollar industry. Joe Rogan getting big deals. You got your company. Like, there's a lot of money out there.

New jobs. New is not the worst thing. You just got to get on top of it and beat the competition to it. Well, but I think college football coaching over the last five years, I think two recruiting periods, transfer portal, NIL, I think it's, I think it's a lot of at some point it'd be nice if these guys could spend three weeks with their families. NFL coaches get like six weeks to literally chill with their family. Does this have a whiff of, what is this car?

I just want my horse and buggy. I don't want to upgrade to afford. I don't want a car. There is a line. There's a line in the sand for all of us. You and I have these discussion. Quality of life matters. I'll sacrifice a lot if you're highly compensated.

But I want to spend time with my family a lot. And so if you're not allowing more than two weeks a year for a vacation, NFL coaches get better pensions. They get pensions. They get six weeks off. There's a downtime. They don't have to worry about personnel if they don't want. That's a way better job. And I used to be college over NFL as a job.

Not anymore. You know I'm a big adapt or die guy. Yeah, so am I. But sometimes I don't want to adapt. I mean, I'm serious. There are some things I'm not going to adapt. I'm not going to adapt to everything. There's some stuff I'm going to be.

push back and go, no, I want my peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I don't want an extended life if I eat liver twice a day. I'm not going to adapt to that. If there was new information, if you eat liver twice a day, you extend your life. I'm not. I'm going to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I'm not adapting to everything. I'm just a peanut butter guy if you're asking.

Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it. Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill, waxing all about crack in the 80s. To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.

I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so y'all know. I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack. So I'm starting to see that there's a through line. We also have AIDS on the table right now. Thank you for finishing that sentence. I don't think there's a more important year for black people. Really? Yeah.

So J-Mack just told me that we both believe in adapting as often as possible. He doesn't like TikTok. So that's his thing. He is not going to go on TikTok. That and skiing. My family's trying to go on a ski trip.

Oh, your family wants you to ski trip. I said, go have fun. You know, enjoy. I'm not, I don't want to. So you're not adapting to a lifestyle choice by the family or TikTok. I said if you want to go to a beach in Jamaica or Cabo, Hawaii, I'm in. I just don't want to go on the ski trip. I'm just not sorry.

Ann doesn't give me a lot of choices. So he says we need to adapt on this. I adapt. I got a basketball career going on. I can't be going down the slopes. If Ann wants me to adapt, I adapt. Good man, you are. Well, it's, you know, just she's usually right more than I am.

So when she's right and she says, stay current and do this, do that, if I go against her, about a year later, I'm like, that was a bad call. But what's the line? Happy wife? No, well, the life, is that what it is? The life is take good advice, and she gives good advice, so I listen to it. I mean, not all of it's good. I know it.

That's right. Some of my advice is superior. All right, here we go. We're going to call it. Take your pick. You give me the unit, and we'll size these teams up. Who's got the better grouping? All right.

We'll start with the toughest grouping. Which team is the edge quarterback. Mahomes. Highest gritted quarterback this postseason, the PFF. Best quarterback talent ever. 14 and 3 in the playoffs 3 and 0 is a dog 2 and 0 in the road Chiefs not particularly close Which team has the edge at running back?

I would say Christian McCaffrey I think is one of the three best running backs I've ever seen Walter Payton I think it's maybe the best I've seen Barry Sanders Leads the NFL in scrimmage yards scrimmage touchdowns 100 yard rushing games catch run I think he's just an absolutely all-time phenomenal talent Okay, which team has the edge at receiver? I really think San Francisco's receivers are underrated.

I think IEUK is a top 6-7 receiver, minimum in the league. I think Jennings is a great role player. Debo Samuel is the most unique receiver in the league. I think there's an argument, not Miami, but San Francisco has the absolute best receiving. I got a deep threat. I got a chess piece, and Jennings' size is hard to cover. Now, you can go with a push. Who has the edge at tight end?

I would say Kelsey because of the combination of Mahomes and Kelsey. When Mahomes targets Kelsey is 144 passer rated. So if you're going to judge a tight end, the question is, does the quarterback get it to him? And I don't think we've ever seen anything like they have the most 100-yard combinations, Mahomes and Kelsey in NFL history, surpassing Brady and Gronk, who had a few. This was close, the offensive line who has the edge. Well, if Joe Tooney plays, it's not close. So the highest-graded playoff center, Creed Humphrey, Kansas City.

Donovan Smith, the left tackle, hasn't allowed a sack in the postseason. And that's against Baltimore, Buffalo. I love Trent Williams is the best offensive lineman. But I think if Joe Tooney plays, I have three pretty high-end offensive linemen. I would go Kansas City. Okay, slight edge, Casey. What about the defensive front? Which team has the edge?

I think it's Kansas City. First of all, Chiefs led. The NFL, 63 sacks this season, including the playoffs. They had nine more sacks for the Niners, 26 more, 26 more hurries. And I think Chris Jones was the highest-grended interior defender in the NFL this year. I think Chris Jones, if you don't follow Kansas City, you're a casual. In a short list of the best players that nobody talks about in the league is Chris Jones. You know this. He's unbelievable.

I like when they line him up on the outside. He can play anywhere really on that defensive line. All right. In the secondary, who has the edge? Chiefs have the best corners. Trent McDuffie, Legerius Sneed, Justin Reed's a good safety. I think it's the weakness of the Niners. Now, Funga was healthy

that he is an elite young safety. But I think this is, though, the biggest mismatch is wide receivers for the Niners and secondary for the Chiefs. Chiefs secondary is far better. The Niners' receivers, total mismatch with Kansas. This is always a big one. Special teams, who has the edge?

edge at kicker. Kansas City, Harrison Butker. So most field goals made by any kicker this season, perfect seven for seven field goal attempts this postseason. Again, I don't, I do not think they'll play a big role because I think San Francisco is going to go for it on short yardage. And I think Andy Reid has a history. Two offensive coaches who respect each other, I don't think they're going to settle for field goals. I don't. I think you're going to see, I think San Francisco believes when you play Mahomes, it makes you go for fourth down more than you probably should. And I again, he reads DNA is to go for it.

Yeah. And finally, which team has the edge at head coach? Well, Andy's got the trophies. I think he's arguably in a class of the greatest coach of all time. Shanahan's very good.

Can get a bit dependent on his play sheet. So if you stack it all up, and San Francisco's favored by two, wide receiver, huge edge San Francisco, running back, significant edge. Tide end, you could say,

as a wash, but I think quarterback, secondary, kicker, big advantage is Kansas City, and if Joe Tuny plays, I think they have a big advantage on the offensive line. So, I mean, you're breaking it down and...

Am I wrong? I'm going to ask for now the 18th time. If Casey has the edge everywhere, except the fantasy football positions, why is San Francisco... I don't get it. I don't understand it. So somebody knows something I don't, and I, you know, usually, if I don't understand, stand the line. Vegas is right and I'm wrong. Do you think this heads toward pickum over the weekend

when everybody descends upon Vegas and starts, you know, big money, dumb money, whatever you want to call it? Just starts coming in heavy on the Chiefs. Kansas City probably comes in a day later. Niners fans, cheaper flight, get in a day sooner. A lot of San Francisco fans in Vegas. Kansas City starts flying in like Friday. You know, they stay Friday and Saturday night. It might be coming in Thursday to avoid the crappy weather in Kansas City. So I think once Kansas City gets in the town. We'll see. I mean, it's Kansas City travels well. Those cold weather Midwest cities, they travel well, college or pro. I just think the better story last, Shanahan finally getting a Super Bowl taken down Reed. Reed says, I'm out. I had a good run.

I don't want Andy. I got nothing left to prove. Reed retires. And then the AFC opens up for teams, like, I don't know, the Jets, Miami, Cincinnati. It opens up for the Jets? Well, I mean, if Andy Reed departs, hell yeah, it's a wide, I don't want to say wide open, but it certainly opens up, you would agree with that, right? No. It opens. Here's something I've never thought of in my life. Annie Reid retires. That opens it up for the Jets.

That is not, those two don't, that's tune efficient ice cream. They don't go to get it. Well, let's see who they were, I mean, if Nagy's the guy. You know who it opens it up for? Everyone else? And Justin Herbert. Harder certainly. Okay. Now it's Mahomes with a significantly less dynamic coach.

How about the Harbaugh brothers dueling in the AFC championship game next year? John versus Jim. Like, that could be in play with Andy Reid out of the mix. If Reed stays, it's kind of boring. It's like, all right, Chiefs are going to be back here next year. I mean, honestly, if Andy Reid retired, just throw this out there. That'd be awesome.

Who in God's name would you hire? I think they'll just promote from within, right? No. Zitz knows all those guys. No. Belichick? Vrable? Vrable.

They've gone with a lot of defensive coaches. Vrable would be my hire. Ryan Day? No. I'm higher on him the most. I'm hiring a guarantee. I'm not rolling the dice. There's no guarantees in life other than...

That's like when Howard Stern left and they gave it to David Lee Roth. How about hiring a radio pro? That didn't really happen, did it? Yes.
