This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel
and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
Listen to Superhuman on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, this is Robert from the Stuff to Blow Your Mind podcast.
Joe and I are both lifelong Star Wars fan, so we're celebrating May the 4th with a brand new week of fun, thought-provoking Star Wars-related episodes.
Join us as we tackle science and culture topics from a galaxy far, far away, such as the biology of tauntons and wampas on the ice planet hot, or the practicality and corporate business sense of the Sith rule.

A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career in
sports media.
Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifers Show.
This is a place for raw, unfills of conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that
not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
So let's get to it.
Listen to the Clifford show on the IHeard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

Now let's get this party started.
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
The final weekend of USFL regular season is here,
and Saturday the championship favorite Birmingham Stallions,
look to get ready for the playoffs and the showdown
with the Tampa Bay Bandits at 4 Eastern on Fox.
Then on Sunday, the New Orleans Breakers and the Houston Gamblers
square off under the lights at 8.30 Eastern on FS1.
USFL football, Saturday and Sunday, on Fox and FS1.
When you lose a big playoff series,
unless somebody was hurt.
Like Milwaukee lost a playoff series, but Chris Middleton was hurt.
But if you lose a playoff series,
and a lot of people thought you should have won a playoff series,
it can usually or often change the ideas of the future,
the trajectory of the future.
What if Boston loses in six?
Their offense just doesn't have enough juice.
Chris Broussard is now joining us live.
Co-hosts First Things First.
You know, we all say they're going to stand pat,
but let's say the offense clunks tonight.
And all of a sudden they lose in six, and it's not their defense.
Like, they just can't get enough consistent scoring.
They're not good enough at point guard.
Do you kind of move the deck chairs a little in Boston?
I just think the continued struggle of the Celtics offense makes me think,
well, if Chris Middleton comes back for Milwaukee against that defense,
I don't know if they can get through that team next year.
What happens if Boston loses in place poorly tonight?
Well, first of all, I'll say this.
you're right in that as young as Boston is and as good as they've looked this postseason,
there's no guarantee they'll be back because I'm looking at Janice.
I'm looking at Joelle Embed.
Kevin Durant is still a great player, not to mention he's got Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons
with them now.
So it's not going to be automatic that this team gets back to the finals anytime soon.
However, I wouldn't panic.
They are facing, let's give Golden State some credit.
Golden State, depending on the metric you look at, Colin,
Golden State was the best defensive team in the league,
according to basketball reference.com.
So Boston was two.
We like to say Boston's got the best defense in the league,
but it depends on the metric.
Bottom line is these are probably the top two defenses in the league.
So I want to give Golden State some credit,
and we know they got more offense.
But I wouldn't over, I wouldn't panic.
I would maybe tweak it.
Jason Tatum's 24, Jalen Browns, 25.
A better point guard,
Kyrie Irvin's a better point guard than Marker Smart.
But the team is better with Marker Smart because it's chemistry,
it's role, understanding your role.
So I would bring in some type of role player,
an offensive role player, shooter score,
but I wouldn't panic and break up my core.
You know, if I was the rest of the league,
I would look at Golden State.
You have an owner that's willing to spend whatever it takes.
Wiggins is now like a new player.
Like he's a new weapon.
Clay appears to be getting better, right?
Each series.
And they've got Cominga, Moody, Wiseman.
You know, I like the Phoenix Suns all year.
And now as I watch this team in the playoffs, I think, oh, Phoenix isn't close.
They don't have enough scores.
I mean, if Devin Booker's off, Chris Paul gets hurt.
It's not the same team.
Have we underestimated?
I mean, if I'm LeBron and the Lakers, I look at this and I think,
we're like six players away from this.
I don't know.
I went into this year thinking Golden State was too young in spots and two old in spots,
and now I look at them, they win tonight.
And I'm like, are we going to reboot the dynasty for another four years?
Am I overreacting?
No, you're not.
They're not going away.
the Lakers, even if things work out, let's say they find a way to really make it work with Russ,
how they guard in this team.
And Colin, that's why I picked Golden State in this series because I said, okay,
Brooklyn had Kevin Duran, Kyrie, everyone, two great offensive players,
but their offense is basic.
It's all ISO one-on-one, easier to guard as great as those two are.
Without Middleton and Milwaukee, it was all Janus on the offensive end.
Drew Holiday here and there, but really one great offensive player.
Same thing in Miami because Tyler Hero was hurt, and he's limited.
He's not a great offensive player.
So they had Jimmy Butler or bust.
Golden State, you got to worry about Steph.
You got to worry about Clay.
You got to worry.
Wiggins is a legitimate 20-point score.
People forget that.
Yeah.
Like, he averaged that four times, I think, in Minnesota.
And then you got Jordan Poole emerging.
So I felt like they did have the office.
that would be able to, you know, Boston will have trouble guarding.
But to your point, I've always liked Wiseman there.
I think he's a perfect fit.
He's long.
He's athletic.
I think he'll know his role.
He can protect the rim.
Decent shooter.
Cominga is going to be a very good player.
And obviously, Jordan Pools emerging.
So you're right.
They're not going anywhere.
And Phoenix, to your point, one great score in Devin Booker.
That's it.
Chris Paul is a reluctant.
He didn't score. He don't want to score 22 a night.
So, yeah, Golden State, I wouldn't be shocked if they're right back here next year
because I liked them the beginning of year, but I thought, where's Clay?
Who knows what he'll be like when he gets back?
And I remember, Draymond was hurt.
So he was a question mark late in the season.
But with everything together, yeah, they could definitely be right back here next season.
Listen, I always felt there's very, I was talking to Mark Cuban,
during the bubble season.
We were going back and forth on email,
and Mark's one of those rare billionaires
that will return your caller your email pretty quickly.
And that's why I think most people like him.
And I was talking about, you know, I said in the bubble,
I said, you guys are going to be fine.
You got like six superstars.
And he's like, no, we've got about three.
And it's true.
I mean, the NFL's got Brady Mahomes, Rogers.
We always think there's a lot more superstars than they are.
And I look at the personality of Tatum.
And I'm like, he's a star.
I don't think he's a superstar.
It's not, he's just a star.
He's going to be a 10-time All-Star, but he's a very unselfish, thoughtful kid.
And sometimes Tom Brady talked about it yesterday, he's like, I'm kind of weird, is that superstar takes that kind of makeup where Russell Wilson, you're rehabbing your finger 19 hours a day, which is like beyond being focused.
And it's not a knock on Tatum, but I look at him and I think he's going to be a really nice star player.
I'm not sure if he's your best player.
There are championships.
There's always excellence.
Maybe I'm overreacting to this.
How do you view him?
Well, look, if you think there are only three superstars in the league, then sure, he's not a superstar.
But if you think there are 12-ish, then I'd say he's in there.
Look, at 24 years old, Colin, he has done what I think of you guys who are bona fide.
People think of them as bona fide superstars have not done.
He's led a team to the finals at 24.
Joel N.B. has never even been to the conference finals.
And I think he's a superstar.
Nicola Yolkich, two-time MVP, never been to the finals.
A superstar, I would think, in most people's eyes.
Luca Donchich, to me, a definite superstar and better than Jason Tatum.
But he's never led a team to the finals.
You know, Damien Lillard, a lot of people consider him.
a superstar, never been this far.
So I hear what you're saying.
This is where you really find out about guys' personalities.
Like, let's be honest.
Kevin Durand's one of the best players of all time.
We can't say he's really led his own team to the championship.
And we find out those little things that a player might be lacking intangible
wise at this stage.
So I'm not sure.
I admit this series, you're looking at Tatum and saying,
is he have that dog?
Is he that killer?
Is he mean enough?
Is he obsessed enough?
I get it.
But we've thought that about LeBron in the finals early on in his career.
We've thought that about,
heck,
some people thought that about Magic Johnson in 1984.
He had even won championships already.
So other guys have had these moments.
And I think we won't know for certain from Tatum
until maybe the future, because I'm not going to hold it against him this finals and say he's not
a superstar for leading a team this far. And by the way, Colin, here's a bad finals.
23 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, 45% shooting from three. That's what Jason Tatum's doing
in a bad finals against the best defense in the league or the second best. How do you want to rate it?
So I'm not going to kill him. Okay, so you know and I see it differently. I think Yokic is the
greatest example of just a star. He doesn't change the temperature of the league.
So he changes the temperature of his franchise. I'll give an example.
When KD. went to the Warriors, it was viewed as unfair. Even Adam Silver did not like it.
That's unfair. And that's why there's about three in the league. If you had to put
LeBron in his prime on Golden State, that would have been unfair. Seriously. You could put
Damien Littard on Golden State and you'd be like,
like, damn, they're good. It's not unfair. You could put Yolkich on him. I'd be like,
whew, it's not unfair. If you put Jason Tatum, okay, we'll argue about this. You put
Tatum on the Warriors and take out Wiggins. So Wiggins and Jason Tatum flop. Now, Tatum's better.
They're better. Yeah. The Warriors are better. But I don't think it's unfair. And I love Wiggins.
I don't think it's unfair for competition. I think they'd have to battle to win the title.
Well, I think some of that is style.
Like Kevin Durant was the perfect fit for Golden State,
which again makes it a head scratcher that he left.
But he can fit in anywhere because he's catching and shoot.
He doesn't have to dominate the ball.
Jason Tatum likes to dribble a lot.
And so he would have to amend a little bit of that to fit in.
And that would be, you know, that would make it a little rockier transition.
But I think ultimately he would fit.
He'd be just a better version of Andrew.
Drew Wiggins here. So they would be better. I think Yokic would be unfair in Golden State because
he's such a great passer and he's skill, oh my gosh, it'd be unfair. I hear you though. Again,
if you're saying there's only three who, LeBron, Steph, Yonis, and Janus. Yeah, those are the
I. I still think KD is a superstar. So do I. So do I. No, I think so too. But again,
has KD done what Jason Tatum's done? I mean, he has done.
done this. But he hadn't led his own team to the championship. Okay, okay. So I don't put that,
I don't count that is a qualification. To me, it comes down to this. Do you, a star
changes the temperature of his own team. A superstar changes the sport. Rinaldo, Messi,
Mahomes, Brady, they change the temperature of the league. Literally Brady
forced the jets, dolphins, and bills to draft pass rushers. Peyton Manning
that. Like Chicago builds their defense, basically, because they'll never get a quarterback as good as Rogers.
So they basically draft defense to stop Aaron Rogers. To me, when you start a fact, Nick Saban's
gotten 40 guys fired in the SEC. That's a superstar as a coach. Like Mike Shashefsky,
you know, Belichick, everybody raids his staff. That's a superstar. Literally, you are,
everybody's raiding Sabin and Belichick's staff. So I look at Yokic and I'm like, oh, he changes
Denver. He doesn't even
change the Western Conference.
That's fair.
That's fair. And I would
look, you know my
co-host, Nick Wright, buddy of ours.
He's got his club superstar.
He's got 12 people
in there. I mean, your club
Colin is empty. All right. I mean,
you got a couple of guys. It's pretty dull
in there. There's LeBron. There's KD.
There's four guys. I'm going to throw him one more,
though. Luca.
Luca's a superstar.
Okay, no, no.
Luca is a superstar.
Hold on.
You're not ready to give Luca that?
What, I'm talking about, I don't have a club superstar.
Nick Wright does.
I have a table inside a club, and there's only three guys at the table.
Right.
And Luca, we have a fourth chair.
And we're waiting, we're going to vote.
Janus LeBron, well, we got KD. Janus LeBron.
Who is my last step.
Yeah, so I have four guys at my table.
So Nick's, that's why my club.
My table is better than his club
because he's got a bunch of grifters in there faking it.
That's true.
I'll give you that.
But I'm throwing, Luke is there.
You got to have five at your table.
Lucas is there.
All right.
That's more of a booth than a table.
That's the corner booth at a restaurant.
All right, Bruce, all right.
Great seeing you, buddy.
All right, Colin.
See you.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, it's just...
You're much more exclusive.
I got four.
I mean, I think it depends on how you define Superstar.
Are we defining Superstar?
within the confines of
temperature people that watch the NBA
or are we defining
superstar as you go up to
anyone on the street
mention a sport what's the first
name that's going to come out of their mouth
everybody knows who Patrick Mahomes is
yes not everybody knows who's Josh Allen
is correct I mean you should
see Mahomes literally
are sponsors racing
to attach them to you Brett Fav
literally he could have done a thousand
commercials and didn't have time
Aaron Rogers, Mahomes Brady, every company would take them.
I think it's just the casual, can the casual fan recognize who you are?
That's right, because if you are a superstar, every company.
You transcend things.
You transcend it.
Like Kim Kardashian's a superstar.
She can literally move product everywhere in America she's noticed.
There's a lot of beautiful people in Hollywood who are very rich.
They're not superstars.
They're stars.
Yeah, I mean, it's just a fact thing.
I mean, Nick Wright, he's got like Marty Grau.
Just get some beads in the whole town is a superstar.

Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down,
and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill
waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so y'all know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode
where we've discussed crack, so I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now, so.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
Yes. I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah. For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.

Joy with the News.
No, no, no, no, turn on the news.
This is the Hurdline News.
Chargers made some interesting moves this off season.
They did.
One of them included trading for Cleo Mac, and Joey Bosa said he couldn't be happier to have him on
the other side of the line. Yeah, it's amazing. Just to have another guy like that to lean on.
I think we complement each other really well. We rush really differently. So we've been bouncing
ideas off of each other, just talking technique, because we really have two distinct styles of
rushing. So obviously we're not going to totally switch up what we do, but if we could learn
something here and there from each other and just a guy with experience like that, I'm really
side to just get out there and see what it's like together.
Boy, that's a good roster.
You know, not a lot of holes on that roster.
I think the, I think the charges will be better this year, mostly because they kind of have to.
I mean, you've got to make the playoffs with Justin Herbert this year.
Well, they're good at all the spots we like.
Left tackle quarterback, upgrade corner, pass rush weapons.
Yes.
So they got that Cincinnati thing going on.
Don't love them at linebacker.
But they're good at the five places.
you got to be good now.
The curious thing about them is they finished 12th and past defense last season, 30th and
rush defense.
You got to be better on defense if you have a defense coach.
Their issue is right through the middle.
They're not great at tackle, nose tackle, and they're not great at linebackers.
So that is an issue.
But remember this.
It was Cincinnati.
I don't have the numbers in front of me.
Cincinnati, I felt like you could run on at times, but they had edge rushers,
yes.
Weapons, corners, quarterback, and a good left tackle.
I just kind of think we have this new ingredient to win.
Well, they're going to have to do something this year.
They were 9 and 8 last year.
You've got Justin Herbert.
You made a lot of moves this off season, so they're kind of out of excuses.
I do think they will be better this year.
I think they'll be a little more conservative.
They're not going to take those big swings they took last year either.
You've got to have better game plans than that.
But it's an impossible division.
And when it comes down to that division, it's probably going to come down to health
because you're splitting hairs.
That really is going to, that's what's going to happen.
Rostorses. Yeah.
So after retiring for a very short period of time, Brady is back with the Bucks for another season,
and he feels like this might be the best that they've looked since he's joined the team.
I think this should be, you know, in my opinion, our best opportunity to play our best football
because we've been together the longest and why shouldn't it be?
We know each other.
You know, we know the scheme.
You know, we've been through a lot of challenging circumstances and games,
and now we've got to go out there and execute it as.
as well as we possibly can.
He's coming off a season which he led the NFL in past attempts,
passing yards, and touchdown passes.
They were 13 and 4 last year.
They re-signed Leonard Fernett,
keeping Chris Godbin on a franchise tag,
brought back Ryan Jensen, Rashad Perriman.
They signed Russell Gage, Logan Ryan.
I do think that they're going to be as competitive as they've been.
I don't know if it's their best team.
It's hard to imagine being better than that Super Bowl year.
but this is also Brady's, this feels like it's
last year, whether he's going to, I don't think he's going to say it at the beginning
of the year. Yeah, it's just last year.
Yeah, it's just last year. There are a Super Bowl bubble team, and that's what I know,
and it kind of ends there. I feel like there's, I only, I don't, I don't think there's a lot
in the NFC. I told you this. I think the Rams and the Bucks are Super Bowl.
Even in their own division, there's a lot of turnover. And I think the rest of the
bubble teams for me are all AFC. You could be, think about how good you could be,
and finish fourth in the AFC West.
Right.
That's what we were just talking about.
You have seven pro bowlers.
I think that division is just going to come down to who's healthy.
Who's healthy at the end of the year?
Because it's so close.
So the Celtics are facing elimination in tonight's game against the Warriors.
Jason Tatum spoke about the team's resiliency in elimination games.
We've had some tough losses.
You know, losing game five against Milwaukee, you know, was extremely tough.
You know, just knowing that we had to win to.
going on the road
and losing game six against the heat
was extremely tough
but in those moments
we just responded.
I don't know exactly
what it is but I think just
our will to want to win
just trying to figure it out.
The Celtics are 6 and 5
this postseason at home.
That's so weird.
One of the great home court advantages.
Think about that.
Six and five.
They're 14 and 2 this postseason when they commit 15 or less turnovers.
And they're 0 and 7 when they commit six or more.
So it's like I said earlier.
Golden State's not going to beat themselves.
They're very patriot-like.
They're very spur-like.
Yes, they're flashy.
Yes, they hit the big shots, but they also play fundamental basketball.
You can't give them extra possessions.
Golden State's also so talented offensively that when they have bad stretches, like the other night, they just overcome it.
Boston's not generally gifted enough.
offensively when they have those seven-minute dry spells.
Right.
They're down 11.
The Warriors have scored 103 points off Celtics turnovers.
That's incredible.
You just have to take care of the ball.
Now that being said, as I've said, all show,
Jason Tatum's been amazing in the elimination games this particular postseason.
If you look at the numbers compared to all the other games he's played and then the three
games facing elimination, he steps up when their back is against the wall.
Well, look at his three-point percentage in games like tonight.
Over 50.
So he has been a great, not good, a great three-point shooter when his backs against the wall.
And that's a pressure shot.
So that speaks highly of him.
Yeah.
So I think Jason Statenham will have a big game tonight.
I think Boston will win and it will go seven.
Slash, I'm kind of hoping that because I won a game seven.
Yeah.
But Celtics are favorite by four tonight, according to Fox Bet.
No idea how it's going to go.
It's the ultimate drama for sports tonight in an elimination game.
Can't wait for it.
Good stuff, Joy with the news.
Well, that's the news.

Do you remember when Diana Ross
double-tap Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush
didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush
got to do a little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam Jett.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick it here,
unpack what went down,
and try to make sense of how we survived it.
including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill,
waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 is big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so you know.
I mean, at this point, Mark, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack,
so I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now, so.
Then you're finishing that sentence.
Yes, I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years.
for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
All right, 14 years in the league.
Got a podcast, All the Smoke with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes.
Here we are tonight, game six, where Jason Tatum's been very good in these back-against-the-wall games.
I want to start with this, though.
When the series started, I said Robert Williams will not win MVP, but he's going to be really valuable.
because there's three ways to score in this Lee.
You can score in transition, you can score on the paint,
and you can score from the perimeter,
and he'll eliminate scoring in the paint for Golden State.
Takes a bar stool, leg, and just pulls it out.
Now he just got his knee drain.
So that's never happened to me.
You tell me, knee drain.
Can he perform?
Because I think if he's in the lineup, they are tough.
What do you make of that story, him getting his knee drain?
Can he be 75% of the player?
Yeah, and no.
Some guys can do it, you know,
because you're dealing with a lot of soreness.
And jumping up and down,
the guy type of player, he has a shot blocker.
He jumps up and down and landing on the knees
after getting the drain.
You can't really tell how he's going to be able to affect the game.
But for the most part,
he does everything that you need to do to make money in his league
and be an effective big man.
He catch lives.
He can block shots.
shots and he runs the floor. And that's all you need. And he does a great job better, but not having
them on the court is definitely going to hurt him. Listen, let's say Golden State wins tonight. You know,
they were favored to win in six anyway. So they were considered the more experienced team. The
Celtics were actually a poor clutch team all year in stats near the bottom. They were a mediocre
three-point shooting team. If Boston lost tonight, would you be disappointed, Stephen, would you be
like this is what I thought. Would there be a player that you were disappointed with? Where
will you be tonight if they lose in six? I will be saying I told you so because I said go to
State 6th. We haven't seen Clay Thompson and Stefan Curry have a big game together. We know we call
Clay Game 6 Clay, but if these two stars can come out and have big games together tonight
in Boston, I think this series is over. But if Boston doesn't win, there's no knock on them. First
year a coach. Great job he's done to get these kids to the finals. And they can only grow from
this moment. And I think they will. You know, I, Joey and I have talked about this. If you draft
and develop your players and then their contracts are up, I think you should be able to pay them
whatever you want. And it shouldn't go against your salary cap. You should pay, if you want to go buy
guys from other teams, that should be punitive. That's you not being able to find talent. You can just
buy it. That's what worries me about pro sports
and hurts the small market. But I don't
think you should be punished because you want to pay
Draymond, Steph, and Clay again.
So the Warriors are
$150 million over the cap.
They make so much more money
in the rest of the league. As a former athlete,
does it bother you? Where do you land with them
just literally spending
twice as much as everybody else?
Hey, if you got it to spend, spending,
to me it's about winning. I don't think
it's about nothing else.
If you got the money and you have to
the ability to pay guys to put in a super team and win five, ten championships in a row.
So be it.
It's about winning.
Nobody never said you couldn't buy players.
And nobody said you spend money to lose.
You spend money to win.
That's the name of the game.
Yeah.
So as you look at tonight, I guess the player, let's say Wiggins has another great game.
Joy, what were the numbers?
So Wiggins is averaging what, Joy?
He's averaging like, I think she said, nine and a half rebounds.
you know, almost 20 points.
He's shooting a great, and he's been a great defensive closer.
If he plays great tonight and Steph struggles,
would you consider giving Wiggins the MVP?
Yeah, I would.
And, Colin, I was one of those guys hard on Wiggins earlier in his career
because he wasn't the player we see now.
You know, a lot of me and a lot of people included,
saw a lot of potential in him as a number one draft pick,
and he never really got to that point where now I think he's in a comfortable
position where he doesn't have to be the one or the two guy. He can be the three guy, get his
shots when he can, play defense, and just kind of fiddle it around and still be dominant.
And I think he likes that position. But if he has another game, like he had last game
with 20-something points, 15 rebounds, something like that, and Steph struggles, I definitely see him
being a strong candidate for MVP. You know, Draymond gets a lot of heat, but a couple games he's had
seven, eight assists, nine rebounds. I do think Steve Kerr said last game, he said, he says,
he's been an exceptional defensive player for us in this series.
And as you well know, nobody ever talks about that.
How do you look overall at what he's done?
Well, for the most part, you know, at the beginning of the series,
you know, I was one of those people that said Steve Kurt might have to think about sitting
him down.
And he did at some point, especially on offense, because at one point,
Dremerer looked like he was hurting the team more than helping him.
And I'm one of those guys that I always say,
you're not winning the championship unless you have a Draymond Green on your team.
Draymond has been the toughest person on the court the last two games.
And what he's been doing now and what he understands is how he's going to affect this series
is by being the hardest playing player out there, not doing the most talking.
And the last two games, nobody's played harder on both ends of the ball than Draymond Green.
And that's why the war is in a position to close it out tonight.
Who do you like tonight?
I had the Warriors and six.
I'm still going with the Warriors.
Like I said, Steph and Clay having had a big game at the same time.
I think tonight might be tonight.
man that would be something wouldn't it it really would it's i thought they were too young
i thought comminga moody jordan pool and wiseman are too young and draymond step and clay
between the injuries and age they're too old so i just i didn't think this was a championship team
are you a little surprised i'm not surprised um they got the experience it was just all about
having everybody healthy and guys being on the court together
Obviously, they have a younger core.
They don't have a veteran corps like they did.
They still have Eagle Dollar.
But for the most part, they still have the championship feel around their organization,
and that's what you need.
But Boston, this is their first time losing two games in a row all postseason.
Losing three in a row, I don't really think it's possible,
but I'm still going with the Warriors and Six.
All the smoke with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes.
Great seeing you again, man.
All right, you too, my man.
Have a good one.
All right.
Yeah, I do think if Boston loses tonight, the tweak.
Because I think you should tweak when you win.
The Rams won a Super Bowl, and they said, we're going to take Alan Robinson and move Robert Woods.
I think you tweak all the time, even when you win.
And I think the tweak for Boston is go get an inexpensive, because you don't have a ton of cap room, I don't think.
Get a maybe a veteran point guard that can give you seven, eight minutes a half.
And Marcus Smart is an offense.
They're so good defensively that you don't need a great, like if you could get, you know, not Kyrie, but like a Kyrie,
Can a guy make shots?
A little bit of a liability defensively, but we're so good with Robert Williams.
They had Kyrie.
Yeah, I mean, they had him.
He was literally, it works.
It's just, it didn't because of chemistry.
Yeah.
But Kyrie on paper with, you get past Kyrie.
Well, you're not going to get to the hole with Robert Williams.
I think they need someone who is a veteran who can produce offensively.
And they have more than enough defensively.
How about if Mike Conley for Utah was cheap?
Yeah.
And you know, most teams would love of Mike Conley.
Yeah, Mike.
Come in and play eight and a half.
And by the way, at the end of a game.
game when I need a little offense initiated, not as much defense, like that kind of guy.
I don't know. I have to see how it goes tonight because honestly, there's a lot of basketball
left. If this goes seven, we've got two whole games. Because a lot, the winners write the story.
So say Boston ends up winning this series, which is entirely possible. Then today's show does not exist.
It doesn't count. The race. Burn the tape.
Anything I said today does not exist if the Celtics win the next two games.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.
