They got great music, great food, an emerging food market. It's just a really, really fun city. It's got a southern feel to it, but you got a real downtown, you got pro sports, major college sports, big music scene. It's got a little bit of an Austin, Texas feel to it, whereas a lot of West Coast people are very comfortable moving to Austin, Texas.

A lot of people in the east are more comfortable moving to Nashville. And I think the area code is the area code, plus is no state tax in Tennessee. But I think the area code, is it Eastern or Central for Nashville, Tennessee? I think is it central? But it's really exploding over the last 10 years as a city. And Matt Castle, NFL quarterback for 14 years, lives there. And he lives there. And I just read a story where Aaron Rogers is building a house there.

And my takeaway was, well, that's interesting. It's good for taxes. He's a California guy. He knows about those taxes. And the Titans could, they got to. a really good coach, and that's kind of a loopy, weird division. I mean, I'm kind of connecting. It's also the AFC, if the Packers had a trade partner.

What did you make when you heard that story? You know what? I've known that he actually was moving here for a while. There's a neighborhood nearby, and people like, you know, Aaron Rogers moving here, but so is Randall Cobb. So I don't know if they're a packaged deal like I told you before or not. Like, I don't understand. But it's going to be hard pressed.

When you think about the Tennessee Titans, everybody's talking about that last game, you know, the unfortunate turnovers that Tana Hill had. But at the end of the day, look, Tana Hill's salary is guaranteed for 2022 at $29 million. And if they cut them before June 1st, that's a 28 point something million dollar cap hit. So it's going to be hard press. It would be hard to do. It's not something that's out of possibility. But I don't think he's moving here with just the complete intent to play for the Tennessee Titans.

I mean, that's my take on it. All right. So you played alongside Tom, as we know. When Tom tore his ACL, you stepped in and went 10 and 5. And he tore his ACL, if I recall, in the first game of the year. And you took over emergency quarterback. When I say Tom Brady to you as a teammate, we all know he's a great player. But as a teammate, I see this competitive, fist pumping, arguing with Josh McDaniel guy.

and I also see Belichick is this grumpy guy, but I know Belichick, I know people that know Bill and say he's actually very funny and he's very pro player. What is Tom like at practice? You tell me, day-to-day practice, lunchroom, what's that Tom like? You know what? He's just one of the guys, and a lot of people don't understand that they see what they see at the press conferences and his professionalism, how he really articulates his answers.

But when he's in the locker room, he's this guy playing his music, He loves his rap music. He loves Jay-Z in the workout room. He's a constant banter with the guys talking smack. You know, with me, it was always a consistent competition in terms of how much we could lift, how fast we could run, all that. But as soon as he went on that practice field, that was when you saw the light switch turn on. And there was just a tremendous attention to detail. He was meticulous about details. And he held everybody accountable. And he really raised the level of play for everyone around. around him. And it was this pursuit of excellence on a daily basis. And when he felt like the team was lacking, he was the first guy to step up and be like, hey, guys, we got to pull it together. We got to

get this thing going. And he would tell those receivers, hey, I need this type of spacing. And he would detail routes not just before practice, after practice. He was just an incredible guy, but he also was caring. And he knew how to be a leader with his group of men. And he didn't treat everybody the same because he knew that everybody responded differently to how he led. So he'd treat Randy differently than he would West Welker. Well, he could yell at West Welker, and Wes Walker would run out like a Labrador puppy and do whatever he said. Where Moss, he had the utmost of respect for him

and knew if he just had a conversation at his locker, Randy was going to respond to that much better than if you're going to yell out out on the field in front of everybody else. You know this well because you played for seven different teams, including the Lions, that sports isn't fair. I mean, Derek Carr just got his sixth head coach in nine years. He's had two interim coaches. And I've said before, if you gave Derek Carr the stability and continuity of Belichick or Seattle Pete Carroll,

my takeaway is Derek Carr would have a Super Bowl. There'd be somewhere in there because I think Derek's a really good, a really, really special player. but he has not gotten a fair shake on continuity. So I think Josh McDaniels for three or four years, four or five years is great for him. And I think they'll win a lot of games. But when Matt Stafford, you know because you played for the Lions. And I want you to take your time on this because Stafford, I said, when he went from Detroit to Los Angeles, I said it's not just the roster. It's the culture.

It's a winning. People can't wait to get to work. you were with seven teams. You can name names, you don't have to, but give our audience a sense that all locker rooms are not equal, all facilities are not equal, all environments are not equal,

and that's why I root for guys like Matt Stafford and Derek Carr, because they weren't given a fair shake initially. Right, and you talk about that, and once I left New England, I think for the rest of my career, I had a different coordinator every single year, And that's very difficult. And like you just said, every environment, every culture is different, especially when you're bringing in new coaches.

They're trying to put their imprint and make everybody understand and buy into their methodology and everything else going on. It's difficult to get by and, but particularly for Matt Stafford. I was in Detroit and, you know, I was there when Matt Patricia took over. And again, they're starting over. Year and year out, they're starting over. And there's also this constant pressure that's always on him. And it's highlighted every week in and week out.

and then the fans know it, and they're just waiting for the other shoe to fall, because they know that they don't have an organization that's used to winning, and they're just waiting to somehow lose. It's a tough environment to go into, but he gets a fresh start, which is incredible. I was so happy for him to be able to go to the Rams, have Sean McVeigh, and be able to go out there

and play with a consistent vision, a consistent voice, guys that surrounded him, and allow his talents to take over, because he's one of the most talented quarterbacks. ever been around. Armed talent-wise, there's nobody better than him. And then it's just about getting into the system and letting him go out and play. And you've seen it throughout the course of these playoffs. I've been just thrilled, just seeing him play and having fun and the smile on his face. I mean, he's the ultimate competitor. There's no doubt about that. Yeah, you played with Romo and Brady

and Carson Palmer. You played with Matt Stafford, Marcus Mariotta. So you've been around a lot of guys. we got ourselves a Super Bowl that is, I mean, the Bengals barely outgained their opponents this year by 80 yards. They lost to five non-playoff teams. The Rams only lost the playoff teams, almost outgained their opponents by, you know, 8, 900 yards. So I do think the Rams are a better team. When you have two weeks to prepare for a Super Bowl, it's a whole different ball game. Can you over-prepared, under-prepared? Take me back to your New England experience.

those two weeks, there's the buy week, there's nothing like it, even a buy week as a playoff team. The media is massive. The ask half the time you're at home, half the time you go to the Super Bowl. Take me to your experience of Super Bowl, the two-week period. Yeah, the two-week period is a crazy time period because you have so much time to get ready for one opponent. And really, you treat that first week as you're going to get some real practice sessions in. It's not like a normal by week. Look, you use usually that Monday, Tuesday, get yourself healthier, but by Wednesday, you're going through. Wednesday, Thursday is normal practices, even a Friday practice, and then you'll probably take some time off on the

weekend, but there's so much going on in terms of distractions, media obligations. You know it's a big game, but you want to get a really good head start on, you know, first and second down install, third down. You've got about 75% of that game plan in that first week, and then you're tweaking, you're making adjustments going in to when you travel out to wherever you're going. And in the Rams case, they're at home, which is an advantage to me because there's less distractions. You can sleep at home. You know, you're at your own facility, all those things. But when you travel and go, now you've got the media day and there's all this other stuff.

And you really have to focus in on the task at hand. And then the week leading up to the Super Bowl, it just builds. The momentum builds, the energy builds, the excitement builds. And then all of a sudden, Sunday comes. and for somebody that never experienced it until I got to that first Super Bowl with the New England Patriots when we played the Giants, I mean, it's out of this world. I mean, the magnitude of it, the experience, the fans, and you just know that you're going to play in a game that ultimately will be go down in history. You're either going to be a Super Bowl winner or you're just one of the other 31 teams that, again, didn't accomplish what you set out to do.

No, no, no, no. Turn on the news. This is the herd line news. I'm so obnoxious. I'll allow it. You are very, you're very. unbiased is probably not the right word, but I think you're mostly fair with your opinions. I'm not overly, I'm not really an emotional opinionist.

You're not an emotional opinionist. No, I would definitely not classify you as that. But you're allowed to be excited about you. I get it. I get, listen, for three hours on Saturday, there's one team I really pull for. On Sunday, most of the rest of Saturday. Yeah, it's fair. I'm not rooting, by the way, not rooting against Oklahoma now.

We got your coach. I hope you do well. We got your coach. We are getting some of your players. We. Mouse in my pocket. We. So the Lakers have been struggling,

and that has caused some speculation about LeBron's future with L.A. And one such speculation came from Charles Oakley, who spoke with Sirius XM NBA Radio. You know, LeBron, his legacy right now is he definitely want to win the championship when he retire.

He might have to leave L.A. to get it. I don't know it would be Cleveland. Could be somewhere else. But, you know, you left twice. I mean, you'll leave again. You and I go back. I think his business is so good here. His son's doing so well here.

Here's the other thing. You can't chase. Like, the feeling is, well, if he wins a fourth title with a fourth team, listen. He won a third title with a third team. Jordan couldn't win games with a second team. So you wouldn't move to try to win the MJ LeBron argument. Like if you don't understand the value of LeBron winning a third title with a third team, when Michael couldn't win games with a second team, there's no, but you could do it with five teams.

The Michael people have dug their feet in. He's the best ever. You're not going to win that argument. His quality of life in L.A. is so, I'm told, is so high. Right. That's where win or lose, it's very hard for me. me to see him moving again. Well, the issue that with him moving again to me is, I think we all agreed that this was

mogul phase, LeBron. Yes. And there's not a whole lot of cities you can move to that you can be in that phase of your career while also playing basketball. So you have New York, which, why would he go to New York? What's the point? Bad ownership. Well, I mean, because if there was a team there that it made sense for him to go to, then maybe.

But there's not. Like the Nixon and even the nuts this year where we thought would be much better and they are doing with their own issues. So there's not a place LeBron could just plug in. L.A. is much easier to live than New York. James Hardin is telling you I don't like living in Brooklyn. It's more jam. I mean, easier to live, but also he is involved in a lot of other things. Like there's really not a whole, it's New York, it's L.A.

Like for LeBron at this point, where else is you going to go? Like Dallas doesn't help him in that space. Miami, he's already done. Like there's only so many cities where you're going to be able to maintain the level of, you know, off-the-court business ventures and quality of life. So I just don't see him leaving L.A. for that reason. Now, Oakley also said he thinks that the Lakers are still capable of turning their

season around to win the title. I think that lies more with Anthony Davis than it does with LeBron James. I know what I'm going to get with LeBron James. I know what I'm going to get with Frank Vogel. A couple other players were not quite so sure about on the Lakers roster, but there's a lot of basketball left to be played. There's a lot that can still happen in this. season, but I don't see, I could see this roster looking very different next year, but I don't think

LeBron James is leaving the Lakers. I couldn't see that happening. Also, if LeBron left and left the Lakers and disarray, I don't think Lakers fans would be very happy with that. Like when he left Cleveland the first time, Cleveland was upset about it. And the rest of the country was upset about the way he left. Yeah. upset, whatever. But it was a right decision. And we can look back now and say that was the right decision. And when he left Miami, Miami fans were upset, but everyone was happy, went back to Cleveland, and he proved everyone that he could put that together. Well, now he's in L.A., and everyone seems to be at peace with that as well, and they won a championship. But for LeBron to leave, based off of this roster that he played a major role in putting together,

like, that doesn't really, I don't think Lakers fans would appreciate that, because everyone, LeBron's not making all of the roster decisions, but we know he plays a major role in that. So if you were to put together this roster and then leave, and then they were terrible, that's not great for your legacy either. No, it's not really a Jersey burning town, though. No, there won't be Jersey burning, but I don't think it would reflect well on his legacy if he left. So the temperature last night at kickoff for the U.S. men's national team World Cup qualifier against Honduras was five degrees. I don't even know why they played it. It was great. Congratulations to the guys.

This, it was zero. It's crazy. They did win three nothing. Midfielder, Weston McKinney, headed into the first goal with, headed in the first. goal in the eighth minute. Walker Zimmerman scored a goal in 37th minute and Christian Polisic, who entered the match as a substitute, tapped in a goal in the penalty area in the 67th minute for his 18th international goal. The match concluded in two-degree weather, which is the coldest the U.S. has played on home soil in this century. There's currently second in the Conca Calf with

three matches remaining. They base Mexico in Mexico City on March 24th, Estadio at Estadao Azteca, where U.S. has never won in qualifying. And the final two qualifiers are at home to Panama on March 27th in Orlando, followed by the finale at Costa Rica on March 30th. Hey, listen, 3-0. You get the points closer to locking in the World Cup after that disappointing loss to Canada. Canada is really the story of international. Yeah, Canada is still in first place and undefeited.

Yeah, there's an argument to be made that Canada, who's never been good in my life, is the story of global soccer. the most fascinating underdog. They've never, it's not like, you know, Brazil has been great and then they, you know, or Germany's been great. They get old. They re-tool. Canada's in my life was always a tier or two below us.

They're now as good or better than us. Their first place and undefeated, which means there's only two remaining automatic bids to the World Cup. Still can't. Kassar. Still can't root for him. Canada. I know.

our friendly neighbor to the north, but I hope we trounce them in the World Cup. What's the coldest game you've ever played in? As an athlete. Oh, I played in pouring rainstorms my whole life in Grayland, Westport, Washington. We played a high school football game that was

so cold at halftime we went in, took our helmets off, and turned on the hot showers. And I'm not joking. I played in a rainstorm. It's my, I told you my story about Bob Rocket. Yes. We played Willapaw Valley High School, and it was, my hometown is one of the wettest spots in the continental U.S. So it poured. And we went, this is the game in which my high school football coach, Steve Bridge, went on the bus and kicked like 10 guys off the bus because they were to party the night before.

I wasn't even invited to it. Shows you what a nerd I was. I didn't even get an invite. I was the quarterback. I was the quarterback. So I lost my wide receiver. I lost like my best defensive linemen. And so we go to play like the state champions in a lower level.

We win in a quarterback sneak by me. In the pregame, we were doing push-ups, and my hands just sunk into the ground. That's how rainy and wet and damp. So that game, which we won, I can remember it crystal clear as I was hoisted on the shoulders of young men. I played soccer in Pittsburgh, so you can imagine I played in a couple cold games. but I took a soccer ball off the face once in a game like point blank range from the goalie in freezing cold. And that is a feeling I will never forget. Just a straight, straight to the face.

Not a good experience. So after a reported nine hour meeting with the Vikings, Harbaugh will be returning to Michigan. Adam Schefter reported that Harbaugh informed the school that he'll be returning to coach the Wolverines in 2022. And Michigan is reportedly elated by the news, as they should be. Should be. He had plans reportedly to take the job of Minnesota. So there were questions as to whether the Vikings wanted him. They are now reportedly hiring Rams offensive coordinator, Kevin O'Connell.

Some thought he needed to win the job during the interview with the ownership. Yesterday was National Signing Day. Congratulations, Mason, by the way, my nephew, National Signing Day with LSU. So he's playing at LSU this fall. But Harbaugh is 61-24 at Michigan, won the Big Ten title this season, and the team made their first college football playoff appearance. I think he will coach in the NFL eventually. He's like 58.

Yeah, I don't see his career ending at Michigan, but maybe this wasn't necessarily the right time or the right situation. There could be some jobs open next year that are more appealing to him or make more sense. But overall, I think this is good for college football and obviously great for Michigan. Good stuff. So a lot of times, I couldn't tell you stats for almost every player in the NFL.

I know Michael Strayhands the season. Is he the all-time sack leader? I couldn't tell you the number of sacks and I work with him. So here we go, Tom or False. It's time for America's favorite new game, Tom. Or false. All right, here we go, Joe. All right.

Tom or false? Tom Brady has more playoff wins with the bucks than the Cowboys have in the last 25 years. That is so harsh. More playoff wins with the bucks. Yes. All right. So Washington, Green Bay, Saints, Chiefs. This year, did they win a playoff game?

Who did they beat this year? Oh, Eagles. That's five. Okay, okay. Cowboys in the last 25 years. Boy, that'd be damning for the Cowboys. I'm going to say, I'm going to say that's true.

Corrected. It's Tom. Cowboys have three playoff wins in the last 25 years. I mean, the thing about that. I told you, I'm not buying the Cowboys anymore. I'm not doing it. Sorry, Mom. Can't do it. Are the Cowboys, for all the big brands, Duke basketball, Alabama football, Ohio State. I mean, if you went to the biggest brand in sports, Yankees, Lakers,

are the Cowboys Steelers, Packers, the Cowboys, is there an argument to be made? They're the most underachieving great brand in America. Absolutely. In the last 25 years. Three playoff wins, not three Super Bowl appearances. That is terrible. Three playoff wins.

You should be ashamed of yourself, Cowboy. fans. You had nothing to do with it. But nonetheless, that is... And they're still the biggest brand in all sports. Well, I mean, what's interesting, the Steelers have won multiple Super Bowls last 25 years. The Packers have won them. I mean, Duke Basketball. Lakers. Notre Dame doesn't have a title, I don't think,

in 25 years, but they've won a lot of games and a lot of bowls. And they're on T. I mean, they're pretty formidable. U.S.C. had their run. Oklahoma's had their run. Ohio States had their run. That is bad. We can stop the whole game right there. That is terrible.

ball. Tom Brady has more Super Bowl wins than any NFL franchise. Didn't you say that earlier today? That's true. It is true. Now the Steelers have how many? Four or five? They have six. Oh, my bad. Patriots and Steelers are tied at six. You're right, because four for Bradshaw. And then Tomlin's got a couple? Ben has two. Tomlin has one. The Cowell won the first one. All right. But Brady has seven. That is not as embarrassing because you do get, because there's a lot of people that have won. They just haven't won that many. Yes. The Cowboys stat is literally disband the franchise.

This stat is like we got to do better, but it's not. Well, it's really hard to win Super Bowls. It's why Brady is the best player that's ever played. Green Bayes won a couple of them and, you know. Yeah. Trevor Lawrence wasn't born when Tom Brady was drafted. I think that's real close. I'm going to say, Tom or false?

False. It is false. Trevor Lawrence's birthday is October 6th, 1999. And Brady's draft date was 8. April 16th, 2000. I don't have a friend born in the 90s. Let me say that again. I don't have a friend born after the 90s.

Yeah, that's the right way. I don't have a friend born, like, I mean, a tight, close personal friend. In that decade, yeah. That I would hang out with. Yeah, I mean, I don't have, I mean, nothing against young people, but that would mean, you be 22 years. I would be weird if I was hanging out with 22-year-old guys. You'd like me grow up.

Yeah. Tom Brady made a resume. because he didn't think he would get drafted. That sounds so Tom Brady, it hurts. That's Tom. Yes, he prepared a resume for a corporate job, which listed all of his previous work experience. He found his old resume and posted it on Facebook in 2014.

What did it say? There you go. Oh, my Lord. What was his personal work experience? Experience. Oh, Merrill Lynch intern, Merrill Lynch intern, sales rep for Michigan golf course. Whoa, whoa.

Sales rep for Polo Fields, Golf and Country Club. Boy, that is a shaky donor. Right. You're sure you want to put that on paper? It's called a paper trail, Tom. Yeah, by the way, that was illegal back then probably. But today, you get paid a million dollars to do that as a backup quarterback at, you know, a college.

Tom Brady has played in more conference championship games than 28 current franchises since the 1970 merger. So just conference championship games. Okay, so let's just eliminate the teams than 28. I mean, not good God, that that is Tom. It is Tom. Brady has played in 14 tied with the Cowboys. And the only teams with more conference championship games are the Niners, Steelers, and Patriots. So if you include Landry and Jimmy Johnson, they're tied with Tom.

Yes, since the 1970 merger. Mm-hmm. Yes. That goes back to being embarrassing for the Cowboys. Yeah, it was very underachieving. Tom Brady has more than twice as many playoff wins as any other quarterback. I mean, second prize, Joe and Peyton. That sounds Tom.

That sounds true. He is 35. The next closest is 16. That's Joe Montana. He was wildly considered the goat before that Atlanta Super Bowl. Tom Brady has never thrown multiple touchdown passes of 20 plus yards in a postseason game. Oh, that's got to be false. It is false.

He had one playoff game with multiple touchdown passes of 20 plus yards, though. Only one. Last season's wildcard win against Washington. He's only had one great deep threat in his career, Ranny Moss. I mean, do you guys consider Mike Evans a deep threat? I consider him a great receiver. I just, I don't think, I think of Antonio Brown is a deep threat. Like, I don't think of Cooper Cup, even though he catches the deep ball.

He's an intermediate route guy, mostly. A lot of crossing routes. All right. Tom Brady has more than twice as many playoff touchdown passes as anyone else. I would say false. He has 86. The next closest is Montana and Rogers with 45. So it is false.

It is false. Where's the? The fault. There we go. Brady was in the NFL for four presidential administrations. Okay, so let's think about that. We got this one. You got Biden, Trump, Obama, Bush.

He wasn't around during Clinton. That's false. He was there for five. He was five. That's crazy, huh? You know, he may have been around for like John Quincy Adams. I would go back and look. We could have...
