Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.

Well, he was the first person.
It was on Monday night during the game that Jordan Schultz broke the story
that Jerry had contacted Dion Sanders.
Edwarder advanced the story today that Dion would take the job.
So let's get down to the skinny here.
Wurder knows what he's doing.
Did Jerry get a hold of Dion on?
on your Monday report?
Yes.
Okay, so that's how it initiated.
Yeah, so what happened was during that week-long process in limbo with Mike McCarthy,
Jerry's now thinking, I might need to think about a viable candidate moving forward,
and the name Dion Sanders gets brought up, and Jerry gets excited.
We know Jerry loves his flash.
Yeah.
Especially during the playoffs, this is his opportunity.
We're not in the playoffs, but we could still have some fun.
We can be relevant.
So he calls Dion, and Dion and him have a really good, positive conversation.
It wasn't even a formal interview, but it's the relationship over the last three decades.
It's the fact that Dion maybe more so than anyone else understands the gravitas, the cachet,
the prestige of the Dallas Cowboys Collin, and the fact that Dion in many ways has run his program at Colorado.
I know you've talked about this, much like an NFL team, much like the Cowboys.
They have become the focus of college football.
It didn't matter that they weren't in the college football playoff.
But I think Jerry really respected the fact that they go from four wins to nine wins.
And the fact that in many ways, Dion Sanders is like the type of person that can come to Dallas,
even without any head coaching experience, and get it from day one.
And maybe more importantly, be able to relate to Jerry on a personal level.
And that matters a lot.
Now, Jerry doesn't historically do buyouts.
Correct.
But he would have to do one here.
He would have to do it.
It would be substantial.
I don't know the exact number.
I would imagine it would approach somewhere around $10 million.
It would be a big number.
He would have to do it here.
But they backed themselves into a corner.
I talked about this.
It was a self-inflicted wound if you're a Jerry Jones.
I don't understand what over that final week with Mike McCarthy, Colin,
do you not know from five years with the guy?
And because they didn't fire or extend Mike McCarthy,
they do not have the opportunity this week to interview an Aaron Glenn,
to interview a Ben Johnson.
And if they are going to get those slips permitted, it will have to wait until next week.
So as a result of waiting with McCarthy, the Cowboys are behind the eight ball.
So was it McCarthy and Jerry Jones?
I don't, it probably wasn't feisty.
I'll tell you, I theorize.
McCarthy's using Don Ye as an agent.
Correct.
Same as Tom Brady's.
Once Rable signed with New England, Don Yee.
said, you're the number one candidate. Ask for five guaranteed years. Jerry won't give it to you. No way. Never.
That's right. Jerry won't give you five. No. But it will allow you to interview for jobs.
Correct. So my guess was right. I think there's, I think there's something to that. He also has Mike McCarthy does a real relationship with Mickey Loomis in New Orleans.
And I think it's been made clear to me that for all intents of purposes, the Chicago job, and I haven't said this publicly, but it is a,
two-horse race between Mike McCarthy and Ben Johnson.
Oh, it is, it is.
I think if Brian Flores goes in and wows him, then he is still in that mix.
But right now, I think McCarthy and I think Ben Johnson are the two leading candidates for Chicago.
And it will be really interesting to see what Chicago, what type of direction they want to go,
because in many ways, the franchise is Caleb Williams, ideally for the next decade plus.
So they're going to get Caleb said yesterday, or the day before, on Amaran St. Brown's podcast,
I'd prefer an offensive coach I can grow.
Totally get it.
So they're going to give him that.
They're going to give him an offensive coach, I believe,
but he's not going to have a say in the hiring.
Yes, he's the number one pick.
Yes, he's the franchise.
He's the cornerstone, but he's still a second-year player.
It's not like he's going to Kevin Warren and Ryan Pohl saying,
give me Ben Johnson.
He's not going to influence the decision in that capacity,
but they also recognize the Bears do that they have now had Matt Eber Fluse,
Luke Getsey, Shane Waldron,
all of these coaches that have not connected to their players,
especially this year with Caleb and Waldron.
So they're desperately in need, in my opinion,
of an offensive coach and innovator that will help get Caleb from point A to point B.
And if you look at Mike McCarthy, he's not a perfect coach.
But one thing he has done very well is help develop in Aaron Rogers,
helped develop a Dak Prescott.
I think in theory he could do the same thing with Caleb.
Although if I'm the Bears, my number one choice should be Ben Johnson
because of how he's resurrected Jared Goughlin.
So let Ben Johnson apparently is the Raiders primary target right now.
Can you validate it?
Have you heard it?
Can we just have a Raider update?
I'm not willing to go so far as to say that Ben Johnson's the favorite with the Raiders.
I know the Raiders really like him.
I know that he has multiple options, including Jacksonville, which is a really good job and the Bears.
And we know he interviewed with the Patriots.
And the reason he did that was so that he could have a trial run knowing that it was
most likely going to be Mike Brable, and that's exactly what happened. So he interviewed on purpose
with New England first, but the Raiders are in the mix, and we've talked about this. Tom Brady's
a big factor there, as he should be. But if you're Ben Johnson and you have your pick of the litter,
you're going to take a long look at where you can win and where you can develop. And the Raiders,
although a lot to be said about that franchise historically, do not have a quarterback,
and they do not have the roster, quite frankly, as a Chicago or Jacksonville.

What is the key to the Jets job?
Last year, if you had to hire a guy last year, it would get along with Aaron.
I don't think that's the key anymore.
Yeah.
So I have to be careful here because our friend here with the J-MAT gets a little sensitive.
This is still a marquee job, the marquee franchise, and an owner in Woody Johnson, who will give you time.
He gave Joe Douglas six years, Colin, six years without a single playoff appearance.
That's almost unheard of.
So executive GM candidates are looking at the Jets.
Like if I go there, not only can I build, but I'll have the time, I'll have the runway.
And there's a lot to be said about that.
But I think, I believe the Jets will name a GM within the next week, maybe a little sooner.
and then you'll have the head coach,
and then you can have the Aaron Rogers discussion.
But that's a fluid situation in the sense that
if the new GM comes in and believes that Aaron is a viable bridge quarterback,
there's a possibility that Aaron comes back next year.
Most people around the league believe that Aaron is done.
They do.
Most people, but I'm not willing to say that necessarily,
because if the GM comes in and says,
I think Aaron with this roster can win us 10-11 games
if we keep him upright,
that's possible that he comes back.
I think it's also possible.
And, you know, there are a lot of scenarios, a lot of teams that are desperate for a quarterback.
I know we want to talk about Sam Darnold.
I know we want to talk about what direction does Pittsburgh go?
I'm not reporting this, but hypothetically, what if someone like Aaron becomes available?
Does Pittsburgh look at him?
It's not just the Jets.
He played well enough down the stretch of the season to have another option.
Let's talk about the Steelers.
They're in the same predicament they were in 2022.
They need a quarterback and it's a bad quarterback class.
I would take a swing.
My take is
T.J. Watt, George Pickens,
two first round picks.
Can you get up to Shadour Sanders territory?
If you could, I'd think about it.
Wow, that's a colossal trade.
I don't think I'm giving up T.J. Watt.
Okay.
And as good... Pickens is great, but we know
that he has had issues there
and that they have had to discipline him.
They really believe in his talent,
and you wonder whether or not they would move him.
I'm not willing to go there.
But to your point about Chidor Sanders or Cam Ward,
it's considered a two-quarterback draft.
I wonder if someone were to slip, could Pittsburgh then move up?
That's what I'm saying.
But I'm also thinking, if I'm the Steelers,
were four and two of Justin Fields,
two and O against playoff teams,
do we give him another look?
Russell Wilson, six weeks ago,
they thought he could be the quarterback for the next two or three years.
Are we willing to move off that completely?
But I think what happened is when Russell struggled against better teams,
Justin Fields, you're not going to have to pay him as much, I would guess, as Russell Wilson.
So why not?
If we don't know if Justin's the future, let's give Justin the job next year.
And then next year we make our big run.
I like that.
Because next year's quarterback draft class, I'm told much better.
Yeah.
And listen, I think the Steelers, I'm not, it's still too early, and I think they're going to take their time.
They're not going to be rafted.
They know they have an opportunity now with a very good roster.
a lot of pieces there
if they were to have the right quarterback
and we thought it was Russell Wilson
but they're going to take their time
I would say out of all these teams looking for a quarterback
it wouldn't be surprising to me at Pittsburgh
waited until the end and waited until the draft
Sam Darnold
I think it's fairly clear
that they're going to give J.J. McCarthy a shot
he elevated and
rebooted Donald's career
you picked the quarterback early
you gave up picks, go let him play
Darnold has a market.
I kind of feel like it's a Baker-Mayfield market.
Give me a team.
I think the Colts is the play.
I'll plant my flag on this.
I like Indy's roster.
Quarterback, I don't think it's close.
I could argue in Seattle, and I love that roster,
Gino for another year can win us nine games.
I think it's untenable in Indy.
I don't think that's an NFL starting quarterback.
I thought for a year it was fun.
It just doesn't work.
Donald Colts, will they be in the running?
You're saying go to Shane Steichen, who did wonders for Jalen Hertz.
And Justin Herbert is a rookie.
Right, that's true.
No, Steichen is a really good quarterback guy.
They drafted Anthony Richardson in the top five.
I know they love his talent.
But he's hurt a lot, and the accuracy stuff is...
He's so young, though.
Yeah, I know, but...
22 years old.
Name a quarterback who was really wildly, historically inaccurate.
Josh Allen was the guy coming out.
That was inaccurate.
But by year two, he wasn't getting hurt, and he was jumping over linebackers,
and he was putting up running and passing numbers that were redeemable.
Yeah, Indy could be in play with Darnold.
There's quite a few teams that could be in play.
We said last week if Darnold struggled again.
You said it, yeah.
That his runway with the Vikings was probably up.
I would say most likely he's played his final game in Minnesota because the tag is going to be right around 40.
There's no reason for Quasi to say in KOC, we're going to tag you now and pay 40 when his contract's not going to come into that number.
The Baker-Mayfield, $100 million over three, is probably about right for Sam Darnold.
He played so well the second half of the season, but what happened the last two games, nine sacks, a record against the Rams.
He's awful two picks, was really bad against Detroit.
And then you have Minnesota thinking, not only do we draft J.J. McCarthy, but he was excellent in the
preseason. Someone there told me
as the season was getting going
that we have our, like there's no question
J.J. McCarthy's the guy. Then he has
the meniscus surgery and he has to miss the
season. They really believe in him. They also
brought in Daniel Jones in a very small
number. So I wonder
if Minnesota just decides
to let Sam walk, which I think is more
likely at this point. Then
they have McCarthy healthy and
Daniel Jones go out and battle it
battle out for next year. So Jerry
Jones, let's pivot back to
Cowboys Dion Sanders. Jerry, by the way, the story breaks during a game that I'm interested in Dion.
I just show J-Mack. I got 400 unread text right now. I'll show you after the segment. 400.
From what? Well, after that D-A-on, after we dropped that D-on report, the phone went crazy.
Because not only is it Dion and the Cowboys, but everyone wants to know how real is it.
Now, what are people on your phone say? Well, it's a lot of teams saying, is that real?
It's a lot of executives, it's a lot of agents saying, is this a push to get more money?
I don't think it is.
He has too much respect for Rick George, the AD in Colorado.
And I think also, Jerry being so excited about having Dion return to the star and what that would mean for the Cowboys.
So it's a lot of question marks.
I'm going to show you some of these texts that you'll be like, wow, that's crazy.
I can't play.
But I believe, should Dion, it's been made abundantly clear to me, should Dion,
want the Cowboys job that he will either be at or certainly near the top of the list.
And that means it's very real. But he has to want the job. And I still think we're figuring that
out. But because he has the relationship with Jerry, that's why he can call up the Dion Sanders
and not even scheduled a formal interview. And I think to a degree, a much lesser extent,
he has some of that with Kellyn Moore. That's why they waited with Kellyn Moore. He knows him.
He's been in the building. But I believe that Dallas is absolutely hell-bent on getting this
hired not only right, but having it
have some pizzazz, some panache, some
splash. And if it's not Dion, Callan Moore
is another name that makes a lot of sense, but they,
Robert Sala, it needs to be someone
that understands that market.
For the record, my staff did a good
job. So we were comparing Josh
and Anthony Richardson. So Josh Allen came in
of the league completed 53%.
His rookie year or in college? Rookie year.
Second year, he was close to 59%.
Third year, he was close to 70%.
Yeah, that was the huge jump. Okay. Anthony
Richardson, almost
60% is a rookie, dropped to 47%.
So I could argue
Josh had a lot more starts in college and grew
in one direction.
The more video you got on Anthony Richardson,
who was hurt more than Josh, the worse he got.
It's as if the league went, yeah, he's got about two things he can do,
cut those off.
So whereas Josh, it was like, ooh, he's good.
Oh, wow, he's really good.
Uh-oh, we can't stop him.
With Anthony, it's like, there's something there.
How he solved the puzzle?
He's limited.
How about the Rams, by the way?
For what?
The Rams.
I mean, what a story?
Do we have two minutes?
Have they missed the last three years on a defensive draft pick?
They're all great.
How good is Jared Burns?
I mean, this kid's unbelievable.
How well have they drafted?
Think about this.
They're one and four.
They have not only Cup and the Kuahurt,
then they have the two linemen hurt of Ela and Jackson.
Their defense is decimated.
Tyler Higby, the tight end wasn't available.
The tit didn't even play most of the same.
season, it was told to me that
week eight was the pivotal point.
They beat Minnesota on Thursday
night. Had they lost that game,
I think, and I think most teams believe,
it wouldn't have been a fire sale, Colin,
but it would have been, the Rams
would have been open for business. That doesn't
mean they were going to trade a cup, but they were going to be open
for business and realized that this season was
over. They beat Minnesota. They rattle off
10 of 13. The defense over
the last four games, under nine points allowed
with all their starters in play.
And when you think about Matthew
Stafford, unbelievable, how well he's played.
Finally has a healthy O line.
The O line, there it is right there.
And I think Matthew Stafford is all the famer, almost 100 wins, Super Bowl champ,
comeback player of the year, fastest ever to 60,000 passing yards.
There's so many factors with Stafford.
But the connection with McVeigh, and then taking a step further,
a few years ago, the Rams did something that very few teams want to do,
which is realize we're not a player or two away.
We are multiple guys away.
So they ripped the Band-Aid off, and that's when they move on from a Bobby Wagner,
a Leonard Floyd, Avon Miller, Jalen Ramsey, and then they start to retool.
They start to hit on the draft.
Last year was the rebuild year, and they made the playoffs.
And Aaron Donald retires.
I didn't.
We said probably about two months ago, six weeks ago, that if the Rams could somehow get healthy,
that that's the team not only in the NFC West, but potentially in the NFC that nobody wants to play.
And I know how good Philly is.
We all do.
Yeah.
But if you're Philly and your Thilly and your Thiele,
thinking, we really got to deal with the Rams now. This team is as hot as anyone. They have as
good a coach as anyone and a quarterback playing about as well as anyone. So that's an
if I'm a Rams fan, I'm sad. Jay Mack. J-Mack said, so I picked the Rams to win the division.
And old J-Mack said, you can't replace Donald. And I said, well, that's true.
I mean, you can't. He's after Reggie White, the greatest defensive lineman I've ever said.
But I said, they've been planning it because Aaron Donald was up front with the organization.
Aaron said, I got a couple years here. Yeah. And so
they started drafting the defensive line two and three years ago,
and they've hit on all of them,
and now their pass rush is equal to Donald and Vaughn Miller,
but they're not paying anybody yet.
It's unbelievable.
Yeah, yeah.
And if you've watched them,
and the first month they had eight sacks,
they had nine against Minnesota.
You're watching,
it's like you're watching the Rams in the last month grow.
These guys,
like by next year,
it'll be a top three defense in the league.
They're all,
they haven't missed on anybody.
Yeah.
And they are, I would say, arguably the best one of the best one-two punches at receiver
and now a healthy offensive line with a quarterback who's upright and comfortable
and one of if not the best play callers in the NFL.
Pretty exciting.
Jordan Shultz, good stuff.

And on my new podcast, Hope from a Hypocrite, I'll be changing lives, helping people in

Blazing 5 tomorrow on the show.
J-Mack has his picks tomorrow on the show as well.
Here's J-Mack with the news.
No, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
We're going to revisit Ramsbills.
So if you remember, back in week four, Baltimore dismantled Buffalo, 3510, just a beatdown
Josh Allen got pulled late in that game
It was over
Josh Allen also knows
things are much different
this time around for both teams
I feel like we've grown quite a bit since that game
I've learned a lot from
those moments
going back and watching it obviously wasn't our
best effort
you know felt like we didn't play our best football
but again that's
they got a really good team too
that they're playing this week for a reason
their defense the last really eight to ten weeks has been superb their offenses fantastic as well they got a lot of
studs over there led by lamar obviously and it's a it's a tough team to play regardless
got some numbers for you look at this buffalo offense in that game column not great but that was
rock bottom sometimes you got to hit rock bottom before you bounce back and again this is i mean
that team did not have a marie cooper you know this is a that team had a
Keon Coleman in his fourth career game. Keon Coleman's emerged as a player.
I don't think we're going to see that.
You think there's a high-scoring game, a shootout, a low-scoring game?
There's going to be points.
The totals up there.
I think the Rams Eagles is low-scoring.
Washington, Detroit's going to have points.
By the way, this story just came down.
Zay Flowers, Pro Bowl receiver, Zay Flowers, is the only Ravens player not practicing today.
He hasn't practiced.
since injuring his knee in the regular season finale 12 days ago.
So Ravens play at the bills.
So I just cancel Zay Flowers out.
Well, from a prop perspective, who takes his spot?
And I saw that Isaiah likely, the tight end?
Now, he's interesting.
Shifted him outside into the slot.
You can move him around.
He's a twitchy guy.
I would be looking at props for likely.
And they just don't have receivers that scare you.
I think Buffalo loads the box and says, hey,
we dare you.
LeBarbeat us with Rashad Bateman over the top.
You think Derek Henry's going to have that kind of
game again? I don't see it. I feel like this is maybe a footballer shootout? Yeah, it's like the Rams
after that perfect Bill's performance. Weren't as good the next week. The Rams are not going to play
that well against Philadelphia. Cold weather, much better defense, more pressure. Kyron Williams
banged up. All right. Let's get to the next story, Colin. That is Chiefs Texans. That's also a rematch,
not getting a lot of pub. They met in week 16, which was what, like a
month ago. Casey did win 2719 and it locked up the number one scene. It wasn't a blowout though.
It was not nip and tuck, but it was it was within the spread for a while.
C.J. Stroud says the familiarity of facing the defending champs less than a month ago is beneficial.
He definitely got to go back and see you know things that work things that didn't work, you know,
and I think that definitely helps playing them so recently, but you know, they also have that advantage as well.
So, you know, we got to be able to, you know, still have a new game plan and do things that are, you know, new.
But, yeah, it definitely does help to see a familiar team again.
And, you know, they do a lot of great things.
And, you know, we didn't really see a whole bunch of it.
I think of the exotic thing.
So, you know, I wouldn't be surprised if that stuff started to show up.
So, yeah, but it definitely does help that we see them not too long ago.
All right.
McVan, read extra time.
Forget about it.
Well, so if you remember that other game,
which was also in Casey.
Tank Dell caught the touchdown pass to tie it,
except he got injured on the play.
There was a long delay, and they missed the extra point.
All the momentum out the window.
Casey kind of takes over from there and then tacked on a late.
But it's different.
Houston and the weather's different.
Houston cold weather, Rams, cold weather.
Do not like the Texans and Rams this weekend.
It's a different ball game.
Nico Collins really the only threat?
I'm telling you,
Without Diggs and Dell, they just don't have the horses outside.
Yeah.
You can defend a team much differently when you don't have to worry.
I mean, I'm surprised.
Maybe this is just the state of the Steelers that without Zay Flowers,
the Ravens are like, so what?
We'll rush 15 straight times.
You're not doing that against Buffalo.
Yeah, I don't.
Because you're going to have to throw the ball to beat the bills
because the bills are going to drop 28 on you.
I did drop a little bit on Texans' first half plus six under the guys that basically
the chiefs have had three weeks off, by week, week 18.
I think since Christmas is the last day Patrick Mahomes took a snap, Colin.
So maybe they start slow.
Houston momentum from last week.
You've got to figure slow it's coming out aggressive here.
You can't come out with Joe Mixon dives into the line of scrimmage.
This is an empty-the-playbook kind of game, right?
And I think Houston shows up in the first half.
I don't know how Houston wins this game.
I can't see it.
I just can't, I can't picture it.
All the Andy Reid by Houston and cold weather.
Patrick Mahomes.
I just can't.
I just.
I saw that divisional.
I think you had it earlier.
He's 6-0, but then I dug a little deeper.
16 touchdowns in this round, zero picks.
Mahomes is just a different beast in January.
Chiefs fans who hate, do you think I hate them?
I'm saying nice things.
All right, final story, Colin, we will wrap up with Rams Eagles.
Kellen Moore getting a lot of attention as a head coaching candidate.
Now, we talked about this during the commercial break earlier.
Kellyn Moore's doing three job interviews in the next three days.
Don't love it.
Per league rules, the interviews must be virtual.
and cannot last more than three hours.
He's talking to the Cowboys, Jags, and Saints.
Listen, best I can tell, no Rams coordinator is interviewing for anything.
I haven't seen any reports.
They're locked in on this game.
Kellen Moore's got three job interviews?
This is first year.
Right with the Eagles is the offensive coordinator?
It's not like he's been here like five years.
By the way, did you notice earlier, Jordan said,
if they don't hire Deion, Kellen Moore would be some flags.
I wouldn't be excited about that if I was a cowboy fan.
Would I?
I was trying to read about why.
I don't know.
Is that exciting?
Why did they run off Kellyn Moore?
And some people were speculating at the time that McCarthy was a little, they liked this guy too much.
Let me get him out of here.
Remember they had a bad playoff loss and a play calling was on that?
I'm asking, does Kellynne Moore excite cowboy fans?
That doesn't feel big to me.
I'm not a cowboy.
I mean, if you're going to go get a coordinator, go get.
go get Ben Johnson
I don't think
I think Ben Johnson though
I mean when you think of Ben Johnson
They missed the window
Because Jerry messed around with McCarthy
They missed the window to set up an interview with Ben Johnson
Yeah but I can call him
I can say
Ah this is Jerry
I must spend a lot of money on this
Why don't you just hold off here
And come down to Texas
Okay here we go weather report in Philly
High of 36
80% chance of snow
But only one area
Okay. It's over.
It's over for the Rams? You're calling it?
80% chance of snow.
You know Les Need is watching.
I love him, but 80% chance of snow.
But only one inch. That's not a lot of the...
One of them's a run team. One of them needs Stafford a deal.
If they win, my bad.
Who's the biggest upset chance of the big three spreads?
You need...
Who's went more...
Commanders.
Rams?
Commanders.
Oh, commanders.
Over the Super Bowl favorites?
I'm not saying it's happening.
saying, but if Jaden Daniels, you know, the downside to be in a favorite, especially off a buy.
Bys don't help.
We think they do.
College football, every team that had a buy loss.
Now, that is college.
But there's something to be said about.
You're rusty.
I don't think buys matter.
I think buys matter for an old NBA team, an extra day off is like a big deal.
Like LeBron off an extra day and a half rest is a different player.
But I don't think in the NFL, like, like, there are, like San Francisco last year was
getting old. Like, that's a team that could take
an extra day. By the way, Stafford's a little
older, Havenstein,
the Rams Cooper Cop.
The Rams are a team, like, on
extra rest, they're good. Now,
they're on short rest, and they travel
cross-country. That's another thing.
Like, the Rams' offense is old and spots.
Agreed. Jay Mack
with the news. Well, that's the
news. And thanks for stopping by.
The Hurd-Lie News.
Tomorrow is blazing fire. I think we're
going to line up on the, I think we both like
Buffalo.
Hello? You're trying to talk to yourself into the Rams. I can see it.
Here's the thing.
Is that this was a year in college and pro for favorites.
So usually, generally speaking, the wise guys slash sharps take points.
And so for years and years talking to Chad Millman and guys who do this, I would say I'm an underdog better.
I was terrible this year.
You figured out very early the Rubik's Cube and you did more.
favorites. I had a terrible year on Blazing 5. I had a winning week last week, and I really
like my picks. But I think it's easier now. The variables, I mean, you kind of know what you get
when you have a good quarterback. I feel like I kind of know what I'm going to get from everybody.
I thought we both thought Donald could struggle a little. By the way, both you and I said before
the Rams Vikings, it wouldn't be a quarterback game. It would be O-line, D-line. We thought the Rams
D-line would be punitive, especially if the Vikings fell behind and they could pin it.
their ears back.
The reason I think the Eagles, just some trepidation, I'm on them, I have them in teasers,
money line parlays, everything.
The Eagles' offensive unit has struggled at times this season, okay?
We know that.
A.J. Brown starts pouting, you know, Jalen Hertz limited in the pocket.
If they somehow bottle up Sequin Barclay, like, there's a world where that Eagles' offense
struggles.
I don't see the Lions being stopped by Washington.
I just don't see that happen.
I don't see the Texans defense, which is good.
shutting down.
You're saying which
underdog has a chance.
Well, I'd argue
Buffalo's an underdog.
No, no, we're not doing that game.
Forget that.
That's a toss-up.
That's a pickup.
But I think...
I can see a world
where the commanders
win the opening snap
and take a 7-0 lead
and the Lions,
you know,
drive down the field,
cough it up or miss a field goal.
Commanders now 7-0 ball again
and start kind of struggling
to deciphering.
quite how to work a defense to stop Jaden Daniels.
And then you get a little tight.
Let's say the commanders go down to kick a field goal, it's 10-0.
And all of a sudden you're like, okay, time out.
Now this second drive is really important.
So I don't think that's going to happen.
But I could see the commanders winning the –
like if I'm the commanders and I win the toss, I'm taking the ball.
I am taking the ball.
My shot in this game is get ahead.
and get into Detroit's head.
Which can be done, because Dan Campbell has a history.
We're going for it.
I'm dead set on I'm doing this.
Nobody could talk me out of it.
I mean, Goff threw five picks in a game this year.
Now, he's not going to do that again.
It was to Tampa at home and scored 16 points.
Like, things happen.
It's the NFL, you know.
Now, Lions will probably beat him 3410.
I think Lyons probably top.
I just think I can see the commanders taking a lead, being hyper-aggressive.
do not want to get into a close game with the commanders.
They're great at it.
Bizarrely, strangely great in close games.
Lions haven't been in a lot of close games.
