Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Hey, guys, it's us. The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe. I'm Kevin. And I'm Nick. And guess what? We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
Starting point is 00:00:12 We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions. Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it. But, you know, tired and sick. Tired and sick.
Starting point is 00:00:26 Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you. you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an
Starting point is 00:00:49 a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the ice. Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Will Ferrell's Big Money Players and IHeart Podcasts presents soccer moms. So I'm Leanne.
Starting point is 00:01:09 Yeah. This is my best friend, Janet. Hey. And we have been joined at the hips since high school. Absolutely. A redacted amount of years later, we're still joined at the hip. Just a little bit bigger hips. This is a podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:19 We're recording it as we tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey. With all the snacks and drinks. Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer? Oh, they had a bogo. Well, then you got them. Listen to soccer moms on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano.
Starting point is 00:01:39 It's our favorite time of the year on our podcast point game, the playoffs. We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season. And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments. If we didn't talk ever again, I was funny. You just understood. That's how personal it got. Wow. Then after that game seven, Marquis' keep coming to her.
Starting point is 00:01:55 He's like, you know I love you, dog. You know, it's all love. This was just playoffs. This was just basketball. basketball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Thanks for listening to The Heard podcast. Be sure to catch us live every weekday on Fox Sports Radio in noon to 3 Eastern, 9 a.m. to noon Pacific. Find your local station for the herd at foxports radio.com or stream us live every day on the IHeart Radio app by searching Fox Sports
Starting point is 00:02:23 Radio or FSR. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Senior National writer, Fox Sports.com, Fox NFL kickoff. NFL kickoff Sundays in the fall on Fox. I think he replaced me. I think that's what happened is bosses came down and said, Shregor, get rid of coward. That's what I remember. You kick me to the curb gladly, and he's joining us. Peter Shregor is now joining us.
Starting point is 00:02:50 That's how I recall. That's what I remember about it. They upgraded the show. If I recall, they needed to make an upgrade information guy. So, you know, we were talking about this. all, it doesn't matter if it's a small market or a big market. There's fatigue. I lived in Connecticut.
Starting point is 00:03:08 I love the Patriots. I love fall. But after a while, I was like, I get everybody else getting bored to death. Do you think there's a chief's fatigue setting in? It's the biggest topic of the week, which is interesting because if we're so fatigued by it, why are we still talking about it? And it's funny because the ratings came out on Sunday, and it was 57 million people tuned into CBS to hear Nancy Romo call that game.
Starting point is 00:03:29 I would say they might be wearing a different hat this time of bound. It used to be this wholesome Midwest story of Clark Hunt's family with Lamar the dad, and they finally win the AFC trophy first time in 50 years, and they're going. And then it was, okay, we like this guy, Kelsey. And now it's like people are sick of seeing Kelsey's brother and Kelsey's brother's sister wife and the mom and the dad and Swift's mom and Smith's dad and Andy Reid doing State Farm commercials, Bundle Ruski. I think there's that. But I also think this happened with the Patriots also.
Starting point is 00:04:02 And it's okay to wear the black hat as a team, and they're leaning in. You had Andy Redon yesterday, and I don't know if you've spoken to any other people in that building personally, but like they kind of like this role. Come and beat us. Come and beat us. And it reminds me the old Howard Stern movie, private parts, where pig vomit, played by great Paul Giamatti, is, how come everyone, how come the ratings are so high? And he has a research guy do it.
Starting point is 00:04:26 And the research guy says, well, people love him. And for the people that love him, we asked him, and a million people said, they love to hear what he's going to say next. And he goes, okay, but what about everyone else? And they said, yeah, yeah, well, two million people chimed it and said they like tuning in because they want to hear what he has to say next. And it's the two million people who don't like them. So this is just what comes with success.
Starting point is 00:04:46 And to put a button on it, we had Brady on obviously. I work with Grank and Edelman on Sundays. We've got Belichick on every media thing that can imagine. And even the McCordie brothers have jobs. like we're going to come full circle on this thing too, and you'll see that a lot of these people who are a part of the Chiefs, five, ten years from now, they're going to be lovable, warm, embraced characters,
Starting point is 00:05:06 even if they're hated right now. You know, the Eagles, I think, have the better roster overall. It's getting better for the Super Bowl, is it not? There's a little window now. So Brandon Graham is their leader, and he has been missing for most of the season, and it was all but assumed he was done for the year. But this little window emerged that he could be activated,
Starting point is 00:05:25 And this could be the storyline of Super Bowl Sunday if they can get him up to speed despite his injury and get him on the field for the actual Super Bowl. This was not even a consideration earlier in season, but he has been recovering. And they would love to at the very least have him to be a part of this team running out of the tunnel. Of course, Brandon Graham, not only on the last Super Bowl team that played Kansas City, but the Super Bowl hero that stripped Tom Brady in 2018 up in Minnesota. So the Eagles are hoping not only do they get Juergens healthier and they get everyone on that offensive line good to go, but they might have their defensive leader. Even if he's just playing a few snaps, to have him dressed and in uniform and ready to go,
Starting point is 00:06:01 it would be huge for the Eagles against the Chiefs. So the Senior Bowl has been happening here in Mobile, Alabama, and there's a lot of draft talk. The sense is it's not a great draft at the top. It's not very good at quarterback draft. All your sources in the NFL. I mean, this is the positioning time. I mean, you've got new coaches, new staffs,
Starting point is 00:06:22 draft picks getting discussed. in this kind of off week before we get to Super Bowl week. What are you hearing around the NFL, the Shrine Bowl, the, you know, down in Mobile? It all starts now. There's a bowl game tonight.
Starting point is 00:06:37 The Shrine Bowl is down in Dallas, and then on Saturday you've got the Senior Bowl. But what happens is the entire front office for teams descend upon Mobile, and it's not just, let's watch the players, it's gossip season also. You start figuring out your boards because there's group think.
Starting point is 00:06:52 And, okay, well, this guy's, better than this guy and this guy's better and this position group's better. The big takeaway I've gotten, having not been in Mobile but talking to everybody, is one, not a quarterback draft. So every year we see the quarterback get bumped up, and in this case it would be Cam Ward and Chodor Sanders. Will they get bumped up enough to be one too despite the fact that guys like Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter and Tyler Warren are objectively viewed as much better prospects in this year's draft class? But we see the quarterback position because of how important it rise. That's going to be a storyline. Also, the running back class is absolutely loaded in this
Starting point is 00:07:30 year's draft. And you say, well, we don't value running backs anymore. So you won't see them go, do we not value running backs anymore? Is that going to come full circle based on the impact that we've seen from Sequin in Philadelphia, Derek Henry in Baltimore, of course, Josh Jacobs in Green Bay. Then the young guys, Bejohn Robinson and Jemir Gibbs were both taken as first round picks two years ago, and both those guys are two of the top 10 offensive players in the NFL. So the running back position led, of course, by Gentry, who's the kid from Boise State, but it can go five, six deep. I just think it's a really interesting draft, and that the positions that matter are not
Starting point is 00:08:04 necessarily the positions that are going to be the best in this year's draft. So defensive tackles rich, tight ends rich, and running backs rich. Traditionally, those are not position groups you see go in the top three, four, five. Yeah. By the way, what Super Bowl week looked like for you? obviously there's executives down there. What's it look like for you? It's going to be cool because I think for me it goes full circle.
Starting point is 00:08:27 I started off in 2005 covering it for Fox Sports.com. And on Monday night on Fox Sports One, I'm going to be hosting the Fox's Super Bowl Opening Media Night and it's going to be simulcasted with the NFL. But it's that event where they first see the teams and all the media is welcome to come. And it's that kind of Monday night, let's break through the ribbon and let's get out there. I'll be hosting it with Carissa and Mark Sanchez and Cooper Manning will be with me down there in New Orleans. And then Super Bowl Sunday, Colin, I'll be a prominent piece to it. I'll be working with the big show.
Starting point is 00:08:58 And that's with Strahan and Howie and Terry and those guys. But we've got like a 10-hour pregame show. And I'll be at the Eagles Hotel before they even wake up. And I'll be stationed there and I'll be giving you all the latest updates all the way to the road to the stadium. And then right up until kickoff. So really excited. Obviously, I'll be doing stuff for good morning football in the morning. but I am pumped to be a part of the Monday night and then, of course, Sunday,
Starting point is 00:09:21 and then I'll be there post game on the field interviewing the players of the winning team. And this year, unlike others, like, I think it's a pick-om here in this one. This is really close between these two teams and you can go either way. So we'll see if I'll be celebrating with Kevin Hart or Paul Rudd. We'll see. Great seeing you, my man. Peter Schreger, Fox Sports. Thanks, buddy.
Starting point is 00:09:41 Love being on. See, Carl. Yep. And, of course, the losing teams fan base will blame the officials. You can just chalk that up to that's what's going to happen. Be sure to catch live editions of the herd weekdays in noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio, FS1 and the IHeart Radio app. Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what? We have some big news. What's the news, news, huge news?
Starting point is 00:10:03 We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it. We're the first people to do podcasts. Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there. But this one's extra special. So how do we actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys? I honestly don't remember.
Starting point is 00:10:22 I think it was on a call about what we should call it. Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band. Before Jonas Brothers was... This is how you guys remember it going down? Yes. I have a very different memory of this. We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas. And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential.
Starting point is 00:10:47 title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that, guys. Listen to Hey Jonas on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it. Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, fam, it's Isaiah Thomas.
Starting point is 00:11:30 And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed. And finding ways to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before. And he knows. Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game. We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:11:53 I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Steve Nass would get that thing. That man, hell get to fly. Man, he running up the court, licking his fingers why he got the ball. Like, you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick. Oh, yeah. Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This week on Crimless, we're joined by our first ever guest.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Sorry, our first ever human guest. I don't think I could be in the same room with Shamrock the parrot. I'd be too nervous. That's right. The very funny Will Ferrell joins Rory Scovel and me, Josh Dean, for an episode dedicated to the many crimes committed by people also named Will Ferrell. They called to his fellow officer for the nippers. What are the nippers?
Starting point is 00:13:04 Very good question. No, I was thinking, would that be a good name for like a salad dressing? Simple assault. And it's a play on word, salt? Maybe not. I say we invest and we see. There's only one way to know. This did not amuse the cops.
Starting point is 00:13:16 By the way, normally the cops are amused, but this did not abuse the cops. Will even comes clean about some of his own crimes. I didn't get caught. You know why? If you don't want to be suspected of anything, you whistle as you walk. Listen to crime lists on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. J-MACC with The News. No, no, no, no. Turn on the news.
Starting point is 00:13:45 This is the Heard Line News. All right, let's start out with SIG. Sequin Barclay, who's obviously been tremendous all season. Now, some of us saw this coming, including this show. However, one of our teammates here at FS1, Chris Broussard, believes that Sequin Barclay has had more of an impact than Christian McCaffrey had on the Niners. Y'all laughed at me when I say he's going to have a Christian McCaffrey-type impact.
Starting point is 00:14:13 He's gone way beyond Christian McCaffrey. That's true. And what this shows you, they've always had a great run game. You put an elite back behind that offensive line in Philadelphia, and this is what you get. And so let's just enjoy it. And he's going to do this for the next few years.
Starting point is 00:14:35 Yeah, you know, it is interesting. Not all players are the same players based on where you put them. Sequehuan with the Giants, I mean, he would get contact at the line of scrimmage. Sequin with the Eagles often doesn't see contact for four to five yards, sometimes more than that. So like McCaffrey with Carolina is one player. McCaffrey with Shanahan and the Niners is a much better player. And that is when you take, that is what the best GMs do, is that you spot great players not in great situations. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:12 And they're undervalued. I mean, again, we thought it was obvious with this old line. And A.J. Brown is such a big component to this because you can't cheat as a safety against the Eagles. You have to shade your coverage to the sidelines, which means if he gets through the first line, how many big runs is he had in the last six weeks? He feels like a 60-yard touchdown every week, yeah. So it's just there, I mean, McCaffrey was always good. And then you watch him when he was healthy with the Niners. It's like, oh, Shanahan doesn't lose with him.
Starting point is 00:15:39 And it's the same with Barclay. You're like, is he a top five running back of all time? Yeah, the numbers on the screen are 20-22. His first season with the Niners. That was the year that Brock Purdy got injured in the NFC title game. So the numbers are down a little bit. You look at his numbers last year, and they're like Sequin in the postseason. I mean, just unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:15:56 I hope Seaco could do it in the Super Bowl. You think there's a – would you bet him MVP? Oh, I'd have no problem doing that. Because earlier I said Kelsey. Well, no, no, no, I didn't predict Kelsey. I said, do you think it's possible? This is a very good tied-in game. Between Goddard and Kelsey, you're talking elite tight-in.
Starting point is 00:16:13 I mean, like, there are – These are the two best teams, and they're here for a reason. These are great rosters. Kansas City's great, and nobody quite gives it the credit. Philadelphia is great, and we all know it. Detroit Lions fans right now are upset with you. Yeah, their roster's good, too, but they're not as elusive at quarterback. We'll be talking about them in headlines shortly, and not in a good way.
Starting point is 00:16:33 All right, let's move on to the next story as the New England Patriots, your team of destiny. Next season, I know you love them, Colin. Vrabble's now at the helm. He brought back Josh McDaniels as OC to help Drake May. in year two. With the return of McDaniels, former Patriot and three-time Super Bowl champ, James White has chimed in.
Starting point is 00:16:52 He believes it was the perfect hire for New England and Drake May. From what I've watched from afar from this offense over the last couple of years, it's been a lack of details and a lack of execution, and that'll be the two things that Josh will emphasize the most.
Starting point is 00:17:07 You know, the meetings, it's got to make sure you're attentive in there, the walkthroughs, make sure you're attentive and there. On the field, he's going to make sure you're attentive. there and doing the right things, he doesn't miss a beat. You know, for Drake May, I think it's perfect, too. You saw he did for, you know, Mack Jones in his rookie year, had a great rookie year.
Starting point is 00:17:24 You know, then, you know, Josh ended up leaving that became a little bit more difficult after that. Very, very interested. I'm going to call my friend Vrable at some time, maybe sit down and chop it up on the personnel. When are you going to hang? Are you going to bring all these friends to the set at the Super Bowl? You're going to set up a gathering, if you will. Can I get in on that action?
Starting point is 00:17:44 I would say that a lot of times my friends. friends are insiders and they don't like to be in the sun. They've worked their power in the shadows. Unbelievable. Final story is Shedur Sanders. Shocker, he's not participating in the East West Shrine Bowl today, but he did meet with a lot of quarterback needy teams who are at the top of the draft. Then Shadur met with the media and was asked how his experience at Jackson State and
Starting point is 00:18:08 Colorado have helped him prepare for the next level. It is definitely a truly grateful experience. going there and experienced that and knowing that's my foundation and going to a power five and experiencing that also. So we went, we changed the program of Jackson. We went to Colorado, changed the program, and we did everything. People didn't think we was able to do so. That's why I know I'm the most guaranteed risk you could take.
Starting point is 00:18:35 I'm the most guaranteed risk you can take. Well, I think he's a good solid quarterback prospect. Good solid B-plus. Cam Ward B-plus. I think Cam's more athletic, should do her is a better. Who did you like more coming out? J.J. McCarthy or Shadur? I think they're both B prospects.
Starting point is 00:18:52 Pennix or Shadur? Pennix throws a better ball, but Shadur throws a really good ball, too. I would say there are very few A prospects, and a lot of it's not on their college stats. I mean, Shadur didn't win a ton of games. That's not why it. Josh Allen was an A prospect. Mel Kuyper called him top ten prospect ever a quarterback. So Elway was.
Starting point is 00:19:12 I don't know that everybody realizes how tough it is for GMs when you. you've got a quarterback. Essentially, if you draft Shadur, you are linking yourself to him. The same way the Jets drafted Zach Wilson and the Bears drafted Justin Fields. You fail on a top first round pick at quarterback, and there's a good chance you're out of a job in three years. The amount of homework involved in digging into Shadur, his background, his skills, his abilities, it's beyond just watching tape him carve up Colorado State.
Starting point is 00:19:42 Like, that doesn't really mean much. This is a tough decision. It's, I don't, you know, maybe he does fall to six. There's a chance. That's why the Rams with Matt Stafford, if they wanted to move him, would get a first and a second, maybe a third. Like, you can get, it's not, there are no guarantee. I'll say this, I would not be surprised if a quarterback taken in the second round is the best quarterback. Well, he's probably going to a decent team at that point, right?
Starting point is 00:20:11 As opposed to a dumpster fire, like, you know, Tennessee or the Jets or, you know, There's going to be a quarterback, I think I know it is, going mid to late second round, and he's going to go to a good team. Just go ahead and say, you love this guy. You guys, are you, is he going to come on the show leading up to the draft like your boy Bo Nix last year? I only bring winners on. I think I can fit him in. Trash talking is just reaching Jordan levels here. Goodness, please.
Starting point is 00:20:35 Jay Mack with the news. Well, that's the news. And thanks for stopping by. The Heard Lye News. We'll put the Tom Brady interview on the podcast if you want to listen to it. I did think my, I was like the thing was the first question I asked Tom that I really liked. He went into detail about, you know, I said, two weeks to prepare for a game. I'd be bored out of my mind.
Starting point is 00:20:58 You've looked at how much film. And he said he liked the extra prep for the Super Bowl. One of my best kind of memories from the Super Bowl, 2014, we're playing the Legion of Boom. And it's Friday night before the Super Bowl. and I wasn't feeling great about the red area package we had. And I went in and Josh McDaniels is in the staff room. And I said, hey, we got to go through the red area. I said, it's just too hard down there.
Starting point is 00:21:27 They play too much zone. And if I look to the left, Earl moves to the left. I look to the right. Earl moves to the right. So we install three plays on Friday night. After two weeks of preparation, all the practice is done. And one of the touchdowns is to Jojo Lofel, the first one of the game. and the second one is to Danny Amandola
Starting point is 00:21:45 later in that game. And we hadn't practiced them at all for 11 days. And it was just, I like to use every minute of prep going up into those games because they're the hardest ones to win. Yeah, I mean, it's interesting. A lot of teams who are solid with maybe like a great quarterback,
Starting point is 00:22:04 the Colts with Andrew Luck, can get to a conference championship. You don't have to be a great team to get to a conference championship. You have to be really good. But the hardest two guys, games to win are the conference championship in the Super Bowl. So, you know, you got a 17-game, 18-week schedule.
Starting point is 00:22:19 They're going to add another game. And at the end, like the final exam is much tougher than the midterms and the weekly tests. So every little ounce, I mean, you go back to that Seahawk Patriot Malcolm Butler Interception, it came down to a play that I literally, reaction, prep, luck, fortitude, whatever it is. J-Mack, he's got his headlines. He's ready to roll live from Los Angeles.
Starting point is 00:22:51 It's The Hurt. Be sure to catch live editions of the HARD. Weekdays in noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific. Hey, it's Steve Kavino. And I'm Rich Davis. And together we're Kavino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio. You can catch us weekdays from 5 to 7 p.m. Eastern, 2 to 4 Pacific on Fox Sports Radio
Starting point is 00:23:07 and of course the I-Heart Radio app. Why should you listen to Kavino and Rich? We talk about everything, life, sports, Relationships, what's going on in the world. We have a lot of fun talking about the stories behind the stories in the world of sports and pop culture. Stories that, well, other shows don't seem to have the time to discuss. And the fact that we've been friends for the last 20 years and still work together, I mean, that says something, right? So check us out.
Starting point is 00:23:29 We like to get you involved, too. Take your phone calls, chop it up, as they say. I'd say the most interactive show on Fox Sports Radio. Maybe the most interactive show on Planet Earth. Be sure to check out Kavino and Rich Live on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeart Radio app from 5 to 7. 7 p.m. Eastern, 2 to 4 Pacific. And if you miss any of the live show, just search Covino and Rich, wherever you get your podcast and, of course, on social media.
Starting point is 00:23:50 That's Covino and Rich. Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers, and guess what? We have some big news. What's the news, name? Huge news. We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas. We invented a podcast? Well, we didn't invent it.

Starting point is 00:25:40 And he knows. Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game. We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs. I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard
Starting point is 00:25:55 guys like Nas Reed. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too. Steve Nass would get that thing.
Starting point is 00:26:09 That man, hell get the flying. He running the court, licking his fingers why he got the ball. Like, after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick. Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Agency, the ability to know that we're the experts in our own body. Starting point is 00:26:41 I wholeheartedly think, you know, you hit 30. You shouldn't have to share one with anybody. Mm-hmm. From navigating friendships and healing to setting boundaries and prioritizing your mental health. These are real honest conversations. We don't always get to have out loud. Totally unreasonable with different parts of life, right? Like, oh, have all three meals and make sure you're mindful during all of them?
Starting point is 00:27:03 Absolutely not. During one meal, I'm standing. I'm standing and handing my children food. because healing, empowerment, and resilience aren't just ideas. They're practices. And this Mental Health Awareness Month, there's no better time to pour back into yourself. Listen to cultivating her space on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Next week, we are headed to New Orleans.
Starting point is 00:27:30 The herd and the entire FS1 lineup will be live from Bourbon Street. On Thursday and Friday as we get ready for Super Bowl 59. And next Friday, we have a Super Bowl special at 4 Eastern on Fox. We'll be joined by special guests all week long. Can't wait for Super Bowl Week on FS1. You know, it's interesting. You grew up in the East Coast and have never been to New Orleans. Is that really a shocker?
Starting point is 00:27:56 Yeah, great food city. I mean, it's like being from the West Coast and never be into Vegas. Oh, stop it. Come on. New Orleans is not that close to. I mean, L.A. to Vegas 45 minutes. It's not that close to it. I was northeast.
Starting point is 00:28:07 So a little different. I don't know, New Orleans, like a top 10 city in the country for partying, would you say? I think, yeah. Yeah, I think it is. It's known as a great, not only has it got great food and drink, but the quality of service is amazing. Like, it's a really, they treat you the restaurateurs and the staffs. You mean, every time you go to New Orleans and you go to dinner or lunch, you feel special. Have you locked up any Michelin Star Restaurant?
Starting point is 00:28:31 I don't do Michelin Star Restaurants. I don't do French food. No, you don't do French food? What? You could talk me into a cocktail and some oysters at noon. That part I'm willing to go. Okay. Sounds like a plan.
Starting point is 00:28:43 We can have some fun here. We? That's cool that you want to hang out with me. You know, I know you like to keep your distance when you're around the important people like Tom Brady. After Moskopf drops 40 on you tonight, you'll be so beaten down. You'll need a friend. All right, we call it tomorrow's headlines today. J-Max's doing it on Thursday.
Starting point is 00:29:01 Best of her tomorrow. So what's the headline going to be for the team without a coach? in New Orleans to Saints. So we're trying to tackle some coaches and outlooks for the season.
Starting point is 00:29:10 In New Orleans, they seem like they've zeroed in on one guy. They punted on McCarthy. The headline will be. Saints hire a coach yet
Starting point is 00:29:18 more or less. Yeah. Kellen Moore, it seems like he's ticketed to New Orleans. I said earlier this week, I think McCarthy dodged one here.
Starting point is 00:29:26 I don't think this is a great job. Colin, I'm looking at the breakdowns. They are negative 70 million in cap space. Oh, no, they're in big trouble. That's brutal.
Starting point is 00:29:33 There's four straight losing seasons. I mean, if you look at their roster, one of the best players they had this year was Taysam Hill. He's 35. And they're probably going to have to move off him for financial reasons. Carr was a bit of a disaster.
Starting point is 00:29:44 They are 3 and 20 against playoff teams since Sean Peyton left. That's shocking stat. I mean, basically they are a mess. I can't find any positives here. They need basically everything. Like you look at the offensive line. They could lose two guys. It's a total rebuild.
Starting point is 00:29:59 A complete rebuild. I don't see why Kellyn Moore is leaving the Eagles for this. It's like you're literally going. penthouse to the outhouse. And I think it's a uphill climb for him. All right. How about this one? Tomorrow's headlines today. This is an interesting one. Let's
Starting point is 00:30:16 look at the headline for Aaron. I've actually kind of pivoted to a positive Aaron just because I thought he played well the last two months. Smoke and mirrors. It's very fascinating the way the wording and the messaging from Aaron Glenn on Aaron Rogers. It was not
Starting point is 00:30:32 an overconfident. He's our guy. We want him back. Blah, blah. It was more like, hey, this is about the team as such, the headline for Aaron Rogers will be, now you conspiracy me, now you don't. Rogers vanishes to Vegas. Interesting. I know. This is a bit of... I think the Raiders have to get interesting here. Like you said, Pete Carroll's 73. He's going to want to win now. Yeah. They're not winning now with, with Aiden O'Connell or, you know, probably going to move on from the mid-year. However, there is a situation where Aaron Rogers goes there, and I don't know if you remember, but him and Pete Carroll had a showdown in the
Starting point is 00:31:04 Pac-12 way back. Might have been the Pac-10. I remember that game. I remember watching that game. It was Rogers and Marshawn Lynch against Pete Carroll, Matt Liner, and that stacked team. And Rogers had like an amazing game. He did, like 18 straight completions. Yeah, I remember that game.
Starting point is 00:31:18 I watched it at a wedding in Oregon. I was on a side TV watching it. Yeah, very good game. And I just wonder if there's a world where, hey, we can rekindle something here. The Raiders actually are in decent shape. However, I did look this up. Their defense has some issues. We'll get to shortly.
Starting point is 00:31:32 But I just wonder if Rogers goes to Vegas. Feels like his kind of town comes closer to the West, gets away from the New York media. I think he could fit there with Pete Carroll. Yeah, I don't think that's bad. I think, and by the way, they've got both tackles, a great target, and a center. They need a back, a quarterback, and a receiver. The offense is potentially pretty interesting. Tomorrow's headlines today.
Starting point is 00:31:59 So Pete Carroll is the new coach of the Raiders. What do you make of it? So Pete Carroll and Aaron Rogers, how would they fare? together in the toughest, maybe second toughest division in football, the headline will be. Darkness repeat. Rogers and Carol fall into black hole. I'm sorry. Had to have fun with that. I thought they did a good job. Like I said, with the Raiders defense, they have 10 defensive free agents, Colin. Seven are starters. Five of their front seven, all free agents. They want to keep the safety morrig. He's very good. But like, I mean, in that division, you lose a bunch of defenders
Starting point is 00:32:34 facing Herbert, your guy, Bo Nixon-Payton, and then, of course, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. I don't see a path to success, whether it's Aaron Rogers, Aiden O'Connell. Pete Carroll has an uphill climb. Now, like you said, the offense is good, but the defense, which is what they hung their hat on last year. Defense was good, statistically. I think they got some work to do.
Starting point is 00:32:52 I don't see this as a playoff team in 2025. Now, I want you to be objective on this next one, because I am predicting this next team is the Washington commanders of this year, which is they're my surprise playoff team. Tomorrow's headlines today, Mike Vrable returns to familiar stomping grounds, the New England Patriots.
Starting point is 00:33:17 I like how you've planted your flag in this team for this coming season, and I got some bad news for that flag. The headline for the Patriots will be ready, willing, but not Vrable. Pats can't reach 500. I don't see it, Colin. Now, let's start positive. You like this team. 91 million in cap space.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Fourth overall pick. Those are the good signs, and obviously Drake May we'd like. But I looked at some numbers, Colin, researching this. Yeah. They had the worst offensive line in the NFL the last two seasons. Pass block win rate, one of the important stats, dead last. Like so many different combinations on the line, that's bad news. Now, you probably invest in an offensive line at four, and you've got the cap space,
Starting point is 00:33:56 you've got to go sign. Maybe they get in a bidding war for the kid from KC, who the bears are interested in. And then you look at the defense. And they could not get to the quarterback last year. Like no pass rush. I like Gonzalez in the secondary. But I'm just, I'm being real. You stack this roster next to some of the other bottom feeders, including my jets.
Starting point is 00:34:15 I don't think they've got the talent. They're still, I think, a year away. It's going to take some time for Vrabel to dig out from this ugly situation. And, yeah, I don't see 500 in the T-leaves. Now, this next team is interesting. So before the season started, I went out and I said the Cowboys and the Niners are going to progress. And I don't think it was some amazing take, but they both did. I thought Denver and Washington would be much better. I'm much more proud of it. So I'm taking New England as one of
Starting point is 00:34:45 my launch teams. A team I think is going to pull back. Now, they're too good O-line and running back. They're too good to fall into the abyss. But I'm, I, this is interesting. Keep your eye. The Jets have poached, you know, their defensive coordinator. The bears have poached. The bears have poach, their brilliant offensive coordinator. Tomorrow's headlines today. What's the headline going to be for the Raiders? Actually, we're doing the Lions.
Starting point is 00:35:13 Oh, the Lions. My bad, my bad, my bad. The Lions. Here's the tough spot. I love this Lion's story the last two seasons, but they've had long excruciating seasons ending in just brutal defeat. To the Niners and then the Washington game and now you lose both coordinators, the headline in
Starting point is 00:35:29 Detroit will be, no Ben's, no wins. How the Lions lost their roar. I do see a major pullback. Remember, the division got better with Ben Johnson going to Chicago. We know the Bears are on the upward trajectory. I don't see the Packers going anywhere. I like the Vikings. Colin, I think there's a world where the Lions, I'll hint it to this this week, 10 wins. I think they could even drop further back. We know Washington's on the uptick. NFC's very difficult right now. And I just, they could not pressure the quarterback. After Aidan Hutchison, it was like, we can't get to the quarterback. Let's just
Starting point is 00:36:01 Blitz. And then you leave your secondary on islands and they get cooked. Think how good Philadelphia's roster is. When they lost their two hot coordinators to head jobs, they were a mess. People forget this. Dan Campbell is not, I don't think this is crazy. Dan's not a scheme guy. He's a walk-around culture builder. You know, there's nothing wrong with that. But the offensive guys, like LaFlewer and Andy Reid and Sean Payton, they're scheme guys.
Starting point is 00:36:31 So they can lose an offensive coordinator. It has no effect on McVeigh and Andy Reed and Sean Peyton. But when you get culture guys or defensive coaches and they lose their offensive whiz, and then they just bring somebody in-house up, Ben Johnson is a much higher-grade coordinator than the young man replacing him. So I don't think this is a hot day. We also think Green Bay will get better with time because it's a young team. If J.J. McCarthy's as good as he was in the preseason,
Starting point is 00:36:58 and we know Chicago. So this could argue, you could argue, all three of the teams below Detroit will be, I mean, it's hard to say that Minnesota will be better. They'll all be viable playoff teams. 100%. And Eagles and Washington going nowhere. I think we like Pennix as a starter next year in Atlanta. I wouldn't rule out Baker Mayfield keeping this train going.
Starting point is 00:37:17 Chris Godwin's coming back. Like, I mean, San Francisco's not staying down forever. Somebody drops off. What do you say? Every year two teams fall out of the playoffs? I mean, there's seven new playoff teams on average. And I mean, let's just talk about this out loud. So I think, I think, this is my take in the AFC,
Starting point is 00:37:35 is I think Philadelphia, I think Indy is going to go after Darnold. And I think if the Colts get Darnold, they're a playoff team. Okay, I think, I think there's a bunch of picks and cap space. I don't think New England's going to bring in six to eight new starters in the draft and in free eight. They got a lot of money. So you got Pittsburgh falling out? You got Denver maybe falling out? I have, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:37:57 I've got Pittsburgh falling out for. sure. Chargers have cap space. I don't think they're falling out. No, I don't either. But I can see a couple of teams emerging. I would say, Bengals with Burrow.
Starting point is 00:38:10 They're coming back. They're not really going. I don't have as much promise as you do. I don't think, I think the next six, seven years for them are going to be very frustrating for Joe Burrow. Oh, Dolphins-ish with Dan Marino. Don't buy it. Oh, yes, a little bit like that.
Starting point is 00:38:25 Got to the Super Bowl early and then could not get back? Well, we know there's going to be teams that regress. You and I both agree with Detroit as a team that we think will pull back. Yeah. Yeah. And I would think this. I think Chicago's going to make a big jump. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:41 And I think the Niners are going to come back pretty hard. They have too many smart people in the building. Yeah. And I think they're also going to be, I think in the free agent market, moving people, accumulating draft picks. Seattle's a potential team to watch you, had a DK Metcalfe. take that was kind of a little spicy? I would move D.K. Metcalf. I would get another number one pick because in a weak draft,
Starting point is 00:39:03 in a strong draft, maybe you get a two with him, maybe you can get a one. I think Seattle needs to take a swing at quarterback. I mean, how many years can we do the Gino thing? Let's take a swing. What about a D.K. Metcalfe, Nico Collins combination in Houston? Still got the quarterback on the rookie deal? Tank Delke, I don't think Seattle's fine at receiver. I think
Starting point is 00:39:21 Seattle needs to move up or use it to get a darnold. I just think they have to take a swing. Jalen Nell-Row. That's my in Seattle. He did not look good down in the senior bowl practices. Did not look great. Not a practice player. You know who did look great?
Starting point is 00:39:37 Riley Leonard. Tom Brady came on earlier today. I think this is the, I think this Super Bowl is great, regardless of what anybody says and not because it's on Fox. I think it's the best roster against arguably the best coach of all time and Patrick Mahomes, the current best quarterback. Tom Brady on his thoughts and why he's looking forward to it. To me, the two teams that have been consistently great all season long that are in this game,
Starting point is 00:40:03 which is exactly how it should be. And the outcome of this game is going to be determined by a few plays, and no one knows which plays those are going to be. That's why you've got to be on it from the moment that you walk into the stadium. This is a great matchup for a lot of reasons. There's a lot of stars. There's champions. There's coaches.
Starting point is 00:40:26 There's tremendous scheme, and then there's tremendous players that have played well under pressure. And it all kind of culminates in this great performance played out in front of the whole world. And all these players that get to be involved in it, this is a highlight of their life. And it's going to be a highlight of my life being there to call the game. Yeah, I think you have the best roster in football with an underrated overall roster, Kansas City, and the best quarterback in the game with at times an underrated quarterback. quarterback in Jalen Hertz. So, I mean,
Starting point is 00:41:00 if you had to put the 10 best players, I was doing it in my head, I have 10 best players, I'm not going to tell you, I'd have six Eagles and four chiefs, but number 11's also a chief. So I think it's, I think it's closer than you think. You've probably got two chiefs offensive linemen, Chris Jones, and Patrick Bones.
Starting point is 00:41:16 Trent McDuffie is a top 10 player. He's arguably on any given Sunday the best corner in football. They moved up to get him for a reason. Trent McDuffie is great. And you might have Kelsey at 11? Huh. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:41:31 Maybe I would... I would go 7-3. Eagles. First of all, Mahomes, Chris Jones, McDuffie have to be in it. What am I doing with Joe Cheney? What am I doing with Joe Cheney? McDuffie's excellent on the Blitz. He was not as amazing as he was last year.
Starting point is 00:41:47 He was very good. Is he better for sure than anybody in the Eagles secondary? Again, historical or just this season? No, I mean, I'm basically saying coming up in the Super Bowl, who are the Den Best Players? That's what I think. I think McDuffie, because of the Eagles, two receivers, going to be on an island a few times with Spags blitzing. AJ Brown will cook him. Be careful.
Starting point is 00:42:11 He's not brawny. This is not Tyrese Maxie. I mean, this is, McDuffie is an elite corner. Very good. Elite. You're used to that word. We'll see you Monday. Hey guys, it's us
