Thanks so much. I'm Doug Gottlieb in for Colin Cowher. It's draft day, it's draft day, which there's a lot to it, right? A lot to it. The hopes and dreams of so many are coming to forwold. and even more are crushed. It is not the end of the race, but it is definitely a marker for where so many people stand.

It's got to be really interesting. And you have a team that is a competitive playoff caliber team, but very much in a very likely transition phase in the Atlanta Hawks drafting number one overall. But far outshadowing, or overshadowing, sorry, overshadowing tonight's draft was a trade made yesterday with McHale Bridges is traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the New York Knicks for basically as many picks and pick swaps as you can think of. And to me, it's a sign of what I thought, what I thought that Jalen Brunson represented when they signed him from Dallas is the embracing of the culture of Villanova basketball.

And I know culture is thrown around Every meeting you have in your life now When you're in business Somebody will say the word culture You know the culture and the culture and heat culture and whatever But I actually know That Villanova's culture is a real thing Like their practices

When Jay Wright was there Was amazing There was no loose talk no lack of focus no I mean look I'm a jokester even now as I'm coaching my own team but the way in which they were able

to we use the term program guys with just a couple of key phrases most of which is attitude you'd see a player for Villanova and he'd make a mistake and one of his teammates come over and go attitude they just say it to each other and like

snaps them out of whatever funk that they're in the focus was incredible. They played for each other. They played with great toughness. They worked hard. They got more out of themselves than they normally would have. I mean, like, look, Dante DeVincenzo is kind of limited. He's really athletic, but he's not a two or a big time score. He's definitely not a point. But when he played in the NBA playoffs this year, and you know how to use him right, and he's just a shooter, score, athlete, he was fantastic. Josh Hart, I can't tell you how much definable skill he has, except that guy plays hard.

Just plays hard. How else can you be that small and get that many offensive rebounds and new possessions for your team? Even Jalen Brunson, who's their star, he doesn't really go by anybody, but he's so efficient with his footwork, with his moves, dominates games. And now you add him at Cal Bridges, who is, look, if he's your best player, you're probably not very good. If you're your second best player, you're good, but it's a little.

little much from scoring wise of your third best player like okay now you got a chance that's what the next got but to me it's more the embracing of championship culture and a lot of it you can't Villanova was different but there's not a lot of like ways in which you can point out other than you just got to go see it you know I obviously this year being the head coach of Green Bay I won't be able to go out and see other teams practice. But whenever you go and see a team practice, especially like in the middle of the year, like the middle of the year, you're all beating up, everybody's tired. You're tired around and

being each other. Tired of being around each other. When you go out and you see something where guys are clapping and dapping dudes up and they're all super, super into it. And they're only saying a couple of words. And when the coach talks are super focused and they're trying to apply the use of analytics to how they play. Like,

championship teams look different. warm-ups. They look different in practice. They look different when they gather up at the end of practice. And Villanova looked like that consistently for four or five years under Jay Wright. Just an amazing

thing. Will it help him win a championship? In terms of pure talent? I mean, McHale Bridge is a really good player. And I continue to believe that if he's your third best player, you've got a chance to win a lot of games. But I think what it does is it, the more guys

you have all in on the culture, all in on playing for each other, all in on the little things that allowed Villanova to win two championships and all these guys to succeed as professionals. The more guys you have that are bought into that, you're going to have to bring in maybe more talented players, but they'll have to raise their level to their level. I think it's a brilliant move.

Because no matter how many picks you have with the Knicks, I don't think with Brunson you're ever going to be bad, you're ever going to be in the lottery. and oh yeah by the way you know what you have mikhail bridges you know how he fits you know what he can win with and you know how he plays with brunson with divencenzzo and and to a lesser extent with josh heart i don't like i love the move granted o g ananova ananobe he leaves yesterday he's a more talented offensive player he has greater upside um than mcale bridges but bridges is for what he does, he's Drew Holiday.

He's true holiday. He's good on offense. He's very good on defense. And you put the whole package together, and that's where you got something special. That's where you got something special. So, I mean, count me in as I like that as a move to take the Knicks to that next level.

And then you have tonight's NBA draft, which is a complete snooze fest. It just is. It doesn't mean that Alex Saar or others aren't be Donovan Klingin, I think is a great story. It doesn't mean they're not going to be good. It just means we don't have, outside of Klingin, how many of these players have you seen play extensively?

I do think some of that will change, as we've pointed out, gee, the night going away, as more guys are going to stay in college because of the NIL space. But, man, this is such a depleted reserve of town. for this one year. And oftentimes those are the years that produce one or two guys that slip in the draft too that end up having monster careers. But man, this is a depleted year. And the reason it's depleted from college was you had G-League ignite, that goes away.

That goes away. I think you're going to have fewer or fewer, if any, go to Australia to make money. You can make money playing in college. They're going to want to play in college. So I do think that. that by and large will have greater name recognition with some of these players. We'll have greater understanding of who they are as players, who they are as people. And I think that grows their brand.

And that helps us when it comes to the NBA draft. But this is just a really, really, really rough year. Really rough year. Because look, a lot of the American players, if you were senior this year, you didn't have a senior year because of COVID. So maybe you went somewhere that you wouldn't normally go because you couldn't visit your normal school. and you visited somewhere on a Zoom, and that's what you chose. But I look at the Knicks trade as an embrace of Villanova's culture. Does McHale Bridges fit a lot of needs?

Yes. Is he more scoring? Sure. Is he a two-way player? You bet. But the reality is a blind man can look and say four players from Villanova. You must really like Villanova. No.

All right, Doug, we'll get to some NFL, sorry, we will get to some NFL with T.J. Hoosh. We're going to start with some NBA, that is.

You just spent a lot of time talking about the Knicks that trade for McHale Bridges. And another little wrinkle from this, well, you could probably cross them off the teams potentially pursuing Paul George. What once felt like a foregone conclusion that he was going to stay with the Clippers is certainly a much larger question now. according to ESPN, Paul George is seeking a fully maxed four-year deal, and the expectation is several rival teams are prepared to make that offer when free agency officially begins. How about this? Including potentially the Warriors. You did say potentially make that offer. Sure.

Yeah, I mean, that was the wording of this particular report. Right. No, my point is, it's like, it's all. kind of liars poker. You know? Sure. They're potentially going to, no, tell me who's actually going to offer that money. Tell me he's actually going to offer that money.

I think if Clay really wants to be a warrior, the way to handle it is go out, shop, get a number, and then see what you feel comfortable with. It's no different than you want to have, you know, the kitchen done in your house. Like, wow, it's going to cost you $40,000. It's like, okay, so you go ahead and get pricing, and you may get it, go. Somebody may be higher. somebody maybe lower and you're like, yeah, it's about the range I want. So if you wants to be a warrior,

I don't think the Warriors pay them top dollar. You just got to know what is the least you will take and not get mad when you walk out of the door. That's it? Sure. And among other teams out there, other than the Warriors, do you see Paul George as the type of person that's going to end up inevitably taking

whatever the deal is to stay with the Clippers? Or will he seriously be out there considering all options? and free agency. I don't know. I legit don't. I don't know. I'm a little surprised by this,

but I think we're all surprised by the fact that they locked up Kauai long term and not Paul George long term. And now there's the he's not, they're not going to offer them the max. And, oh, yeah, by the way, he's not happy with the offense. I don't know. End of the day, do I think he remains a clipper? I do. But there's a world there where Golden State becomes a plight.

player. You know, Golden State lets Clay walk and he falls into Clay's role and that becomes really interesting. I don't. I would love to say I know, but I don't know. Do you see Paul George as so when he went to the Clippers, obviously the expectations were sky high and there have been a ton of reasons why they haven't necessarily accomplished as much as I'm sure the Clippers were hoping to accomplish when they got both him and Quai Leonard, most notably Quai Leonard's health. Do you see Paul George still as a number two on a true championship team?

Yeah. Yeah. But I mean, like a 1B as much as a 2, I think he's a really good player. I think what Paul doesn't do as a quote unquote great player is he doesn't make other people better. You know? So a lot like Jason Tatum. He just scores.

And if a pass comes up, like he'll make the pass. I don't like he's completely selfish. But it's also not like he's creating shots for others. So I would say the rating was about right And I think that's the logic why All right, let's go now to the NFL The Eagles expect to be in contention in the NFC Once again this year

They made changes at both offensive and defensive coordinator They added Sequan Barkley And they're all pro-tackle Lane Johnson believes They're ready to get after it Here's what he had to say, quote We have a lot of new faces, a lot of turnover But I like the way we drafted We've got some great players

Obviously, we've got to go out and prove things and we're eager to do so. So the Eagles obviously had a great start to last season, got out of the gates very quickly. And then, yeah, things were a bit of a struggle down the stretch, and we've now seen some changes in Philly. I love the answer, though. I love the answer.

It's like, look, we have to answer all these questions. It's because of how we played. We've talked to talk now. We've got to walk to walk. I love it. I don't know if you can do it. You and I have discussed Ryan before. I'm not, I've become a bigger Jail and Hertz guy than ever was,

but I don't think he's as good as he played two years ago. I'm not sure anybody can ever be as good as he played two years ago. I think Water found its level last year. So I'm interested to see what that looks like moving forward. Yeah, and we will wrap things up with this, Doug. Houston Texans, a surprise playoff team last year. and they hope to continue building on that success. They're all pro-corner, Desmond King believes they're ready to do it again.

He said, quote, we were an up-and-coming team, and now we're here to stay. Do you see the Texans continuing on that trajectory upwards, or maybe just sort of one of those surprise playoff teams that sort of finds that? I think they're on an upward trajectory. I think everybody says to make O'Reynes is a real deal. You've got a young quarterback. You know, those second, third, fourth year of those young quarterback contracts,

you can get more talent. Which they clearly capitalized on by going out and getting Stefan Diggs. And there's, who's the team in that division who you feel like, Trevor Lawrence has been okay. He had a down year last year.

Sure. Indy, you're going to throw Anthony Richardson back out there. He's got to learn how to be an NFL quarterback. Yeah, why wouldn't I? I absolutely think they're on an upward trajectory. Obviously, people don't have high expectations. for the Titans this upcoming season. Nope. They're solid, but

an impasse in negotiations. Team has a price they want to pay. Obviously, the quarterback is agent. They want to be paid at the level of Trevor Lawrence and others. If you were in charge, what would you do? Doug, that's

this is a tough dilemma that the dolphins are in and also Tua's representative because if you look across the league, the quarterback position, as Tua said, the market is the market, but the market is only the market if your team or

somebody else is willing to pay you that. And if I'm the Dolphins, I'm looking and I'm saying, will somebody give Tua $55 million? With somebody, because before Mike McDaniel, everybody wondered, was he a starter in the league? Once he

got with Mike McDaniel, obviously we know the answer is yes and he took off. Can he do that with another team and coach? And so this dilemma and his contract is going to be tough because where do you fall? Where does Tua fall in? What are we going to pay him? And will somebody else pay him?

If I'm the Dolphins, I'm not giving to a $55 million because I have to make sure we have a team around him that can compete. And when you start giving a quarterback, that amount of money when he isn't the main reason. It ain't like it's Joe Burroughs, Patrick Mahomes, is somebody else. He isn't the main reason.

He's part of the reason, but he isn't the reason. I agree with you. I mean, you're echoing all of my sentiments. All of my sentiments. Okay, Jordan Love. You're the Packers. Yeah, I'm under contract for this year. You want to get it done.

What do you do with Jordan Love? I'm going to pay Jordan Love. I like Jordan Love. the way he finished that season, the way he played in the playoffs, you got to pay Jordan Love because at a point last year, it looked as if he wasn't a franchise quarterback.

It looked as if the Packers may have made a mistake. And then all of a sudden, the flip, I mean, he flipped the switch, and it was like, whoa, to go do what he did in the playoffs list, be honest, that game against San Francisco, they probably should have won. They didn't, but

they probably should have. And so, when you look at the way that he played in the second half of the season and in the playoffs, I'm paying Jordan Love, and I don't understand why these teams wait. If you

know he's your quarterback, just pay him because the longer you wait, the more you're going to pay him. It's a fair point. Brandon and Iyuk, what do you do if apparently they had a meeting. It went well between the Niners and their wide receiver. But what's his real value? Doug, that's when you're a receiver and your player, just any player,

we always compare ourselves to other players. Okay, I think I'm better to him. I'm better than him. We always think we're better than the next guy. but I'm going to compare myself to a guy that many will say okay give or take they may take him they may take oh the dinners would offer him

Amman raw St. Brown's contract it'd be over but done state offering less than that 29 28 to half done I know this is the fact

not as I'm guessing as fact and so they're offering less than that. And he's looking at the guys that have signed recently and saying yeah, I don't think I'm as good as these guys.

I believe I am. And so that's the impasse. I get it, but everybody thinks they're a little bit better than they are. Now, you answer all the guys that signed this year, would you say IUC is comparable to, they're

different than Armand Raw and Waddle when you look at respectively their teams, what their teams ask them to do. Yeah. Yeah, a lot of similarities there. And so if I'm in Rawls at 30, B.A., you don't think IU can get the 28?

You don't think it's 28? They're not even offering 28. That's crazy. But why? What is it that the Niners, I mean, again, the Niners aren't paying quarterbacks anything. Obviously, they have a bunch of money in some other big-name play.

players, why would the Niners be willing to go to that level? And you mentioned Waddlelake, that's the second best wide receiver on their team. That fits. That's exactly where Brandon is. I don't know. I know the night, this is how, when they drafted Pearson in the first round, first thing that came to my mind was, B.A. or Dibah won't be there after this season.

One of those guys won't be there. Right. And so, they know that. It looks like if they're trying to sign IUC, it'll be D-Roe. Gone. If they don't sign I-Uke, obviously it will be D-A. gone. And so how they figure this, they're looking down the row, okay, we're going to have to play party. They just paid McCaffrey gave him, and they're looking down around.

They're going to have to pay him. They're going to have to pay so many different guys that they're planning for the future. but Iyuk is saying I am in future so I'm the present I'm the present pay me now but there's a lot of moving parts in it because the way party is played you're going to have to pay them they're going to have to pay them and can you do that and keep everybody happy because when you have a great team there's a lot of mouths of feed a lot of guys have their hand out wanting to get paid and it's a gift and a curse when you are good as the is because the great players want to be paid that way.

All right, I got to ask you, you're a huge Laker fan.

What do you think about JJ Redick getting the job? I mean, for... I would say quite a bit of, for some weeks now, the assumption was Jay Jack Redick was going to be the coach. So I kind of, I used to JJ Redick being our coach to do a kind of curveball with Hurley in there. Obviously, that didn't work out. I like it. And I like it because I don't know JJ Redick, but as a player,

and JJ Reddick wasn't, he wasn't a punk. He wasn't taking anything from anybody. And to be a head coach, you've got to demand. respect and you got to make sure you can coach your best players meaning LeBron James and AD sometimes I got to yell at them I got you got to get on their ass you have to because if the rest of the team sees you talking to them like that they're going to fall in line if he can do that you have a chance like you cannot let LeBron be lazy on defense and call it out in front of the team. Now, you're not just going to pick on LeBron. Just going to make

an example out of me once or twice during the season. That's it. And once you do that, everybody else falls in line. I think that is the biggest key. These coaches want to be the friend of the players. Yeah, I can be your friend, but I'm going to coach you. And if you can't do that, then he doesn't have a chance. I'll just tell you how, like, I have, so my best player. I had practice this morning. And he has developed a habit because he's oftentimes better than the guys who are guarding them.

We passed to him and he just goes. And I was like, look, I'm just going to tell you right now, like, you've only gotten nice me. You're not going to get nice me if you do that today. I want you to not shoot on the first touch ever today. Like in transition, somebody throws it up to you, like,

go, go get a bucket. But you tell him, like, you kind of tell him, like, what's coming? And then if it happens, you lay into them, you tell them like, look, just because it's a habit I want you to get out of. So I do think that you can have a good, friendly relationship with a player, even one as dynamic as LeBron James, and still do your job. 100%.

Again, but, and like, look, it's not football. I think football's way harder, but, I mean, you look at Oakland. Like, being a head coach, as long as you get people to do the part that you don't know how to do, and you just lean into the parts that you do know, and then you got to have great work ethic, because it's going to be a lot. Of course you can do it. It's been done in the NBA.

Steve Curry never coached before. You know, you've got to lean into the parts that you know and get higher people for the parts you don't know. I think the question for them is, what do they add personnel-wise? Because now LeBron, instead of being a strength,

is a weakness for them defensively. Reeves is okay. Anthony Davis was, that's as good a year as you're ever going to get from Anthony Davis. He was in great shape. He's a good player. He's their best player. But what do they add to take them to that next level?

For sure, the Lakers, you've got to add players. Like, when you look at the way Boston won the championship, they literally have four guys on the court the majority of time that can play offense and defense. You look at what the NICs have done. Two-way players. You look at what the NICs have done in Adding Bridges. They're going to literally have guys. that can, as you just said, two-way players, play offense and play defense.

And so the Lakers are going to have to add players, and it's hard because if you can get those type of players, they're good players that demand a high salary. They're going to have to find a diamond in the rough, find somebody that we had a KCP, and he went to Denver and played out great defense with three and D got, knocked down the three and would just play great defense hit some big shots and clutch moments. They're going to have to find some bargains and free agency that

you're like, oh, wow, I didn't know he could play like this because they don't have the money to pay these guys, but AD's going to have to have another year the way he he's going to have to play again next season the way he just played. He has to do that. And LeBron's minutes early in the season

are going to have to be managed so that later in the season he can really go. Yeah, and the problem is, can you still win enough games? And this year, I think he played that much because he wanted to set the all-time scoring mark. What about the Bronny thing? Like, I just, I don't know. It's, in and of itself, I think the relationship between JJ and LeBron, you can work through that one.

I'd much rather that than an antagonistic relationship, right? Like, you can work through that. can you work through it while also trying to play his son at a level he's not ready to compete at? I don't, I'm not certain. Let's just say Bronny's on the team. Let's just say he's going to get drafted on the Lakers sometime or second round. Let's just say that's the case. If Bronny isn't ready to play, if he isn't deserving of playing time, you can't play them.

You can't because you're going to lose respect of other guys on the team. everybody's going to when lebron isn't around and he know he shouldn't be playing bro why is they playing him they're going to talk they're going to talk amongst each other you can't do it but if he earns it he earns it like the thing i i i do what i don't like is brine can't control who his father is his father's one of the greatest basketball players to ever touch the court he can't control that and so the spotlight that's the spot like that's on him. The scrutiny that he receives is unwarranted because LeBron is his dad. It's a gift and a curse, like I said earlier about something. But if he earns it, he earns it. But you cannot give

him playing time because he's LeBron's son. The rest of the team will talk about that behind the back of the coach and the players, mainly LeBron. And I think that's how you splinter the team. But if he earns it, he earns it. If I'm the Lakers, I'm trapped in. LeBron, like, I mean, I'm drafting Bronny. Why wouldn't I? Why wouldn't I? You just, but only, you just said, hey, you got to find a dime in the rough. And we can be, you can be critical as you want of, you know, letting Caruso walk or some of the other deals. But they've done a good job for the most part of drafting guys that have helped them.

You know, we'll see if Max Christie ends up helping them, whatever. But they've done a good job in that second round. like no one's going to draft him if you don't draft him you can sign him why would you draft him when you can draft a dude

who could actually help you man because that's a chance you've taken because he's LeBron's son like we live in a world to have and have not let's just be honest like

no no I'm listen I don't know if it happens in football in basketball in basketball it happens a lot second round

there's been favors in the second round for a long time I get it okay my issue has been like why, I don't understand why LeBron's talking about how his son is, you know, can help him more than some guys on their team or some, half the guys. I wouldn't say that if I'm LeBron, but I wouldn't, I would either. I don't, I understand he loves his kid, but like, shouldn't have said that.

But if Brony James is available with the 55th pick, they're going to take him. And I'm the Lakers. I'm drafting them. I'm drafting them because one thing is for certain. He's going to work his ass off to be the best he can be. the best he can be. He's going to work extremely hard. I know that for a fact. Okay, great. He's going to work hard.

You know there's a lot of athletes that don't work hard. I understand. Don't draft him. Don't draft him. Don't draft him. He's worked hard. He's worked hard.

He's just not that good. That's it. No, no, no. And he hasn't played that much. He hasn't. He's not that good because he's being compared that, oh, he's LeBron's son.

you got to take into account. The man had heart surgery. So when you come back from that, in the same season, you're never going to be what you should have been had you not had that surgery. So you kind of got to get back into the field of the game type of thing. But with the 55th pick, I'm drafting them. I'm drafting them because, one, he's LeBron's son.

Like, yeah. We're going to do a little nebittism here, little cronyism here. Like, it is what it is. Like, you're going to do it. But you can't give him a plane time that isn't earned. Okay, so,

okay, so here's a, here's a legit question to you. Legit question. Okay. Do you think Laker fans view LeBron as a Laker? Yeah. Once, once, once, once that championship, we won in a bubble,

absolutely. I don't, I don't, I don't think, I can be wrong. You're a much more hardcore Laker fan. Absolutely. I'm a Laker fan. I know you are, okay? I would say it's 50-50 on, maybe even less than 40-60 on.

Not really. He plays for Lakers. And I know he may end up playing for Lakers longer than anybody else in one stretch. That's exactly what I was about to say. I understand, but they, but I get it, but this is, this is still Kobe's team. Okay. Oh, yeah. Okay.

They'll always, Kobe started and finished with the Lakers. He'll never be above Kobe in that sense. Kobe is a Laker of all Lakers because he started and finished with Lakers. Him, the Magic Johnson's of the world. Those dudes are lifelong, they were Lakers. But LeBron has a chance to play more seasons with the Lakers than any other NBA team in his career. so why wouldn't he be

brought us a championship why wouldn't he be everybody oh it was in the bubble you was in the same bubble you were in the same bubble why couldn't you win it excuses only satisfied those who make them I'm just what my point is

like again if you manipulate this thing too much where they got a son of the team you're not doing great you pick the coach you're not really a Laker I don't I don't know if it helps or hurts long term. Who's your the best, man.

Well, obviously, you're sitting in for Colin today, and Colin's taking some much-deserved time off, but he did chime in on Twitter on a very important note. And this is not what he posted, a short video of him talking about the next trade. This might be even more important than that. Yeah, I would agree.

Here's what he said. Executive decision. I'll be ordering roasted chicken and only roasted chicken from this point forward home or away game. Okay, so what are we doing?

You want to do chicken hierarchy? I think... I think, yeah. A roasted chicken is good, but it's definitely lower on the list of best ways to prepare chicken. Really? Really?

Yeah. I mean, yeah, in many ways, I am like the Bubba Gump, or I'm like Bubba to chicken. You know, I can cook it anyway you want. I can bake it. I can roast it. I can rotisserie, I can fry it, I can saute it, I can grill it, right? Sure. Am I missing any other way in which you can, I mean, obviously you can do air fryer, but I think fried is part of it?

Sure. Baked, roasted, rotisserie, fried, grilled, sauteed. What else? Smoked. You can smoke chicken? I like a good chicken. It's hard to get in the paper when you smoke. Oh, a different kind of smoking.

Sorry about that. Okay, so what is roasted chicken? That's a question to me. What's the difference in roasting and baking in an oven? I'm guessing they're mostly one and the same is what he's referring to here. Big chickens fantastic. I don't know if it's the best. I mean, I would say that most people would say the most flavorful is fried chicken.

like you just like fried chicken. Absolutely. No debate there. The only thing limiting you from liking fried chicken is, well, if it's deep fried in grease and it's not good for you. Right. But if we're just talking flavor, nothing can beets with fried chicken, right? Absolutely. Okay.

I love smoke chicken. I like grilled chicken. I can saute chicken. Rotisserie chicken is pretty darn awesome, too. Rotisserie chicken is, without a doubt, got to be number two on the overall list. I'll go with that I would go smoke chicken three That's just me

I love the flavor of the natural smoke in there Definitely can't go wrong Okay I go smoke three And then are you going Are you going roasted slash baked ahead of grilled No I'm going behind grilled I'm going through a grilled chicken Is for sure

The only problem with grilled chicken Here's the issue with grilled chicken It can get dry Especially if you do individual chicken breasts it can get really dry. But again, but that's mostly on the assumption that there's going to be some variance on how well it's cooked.

It's not like it's a guarantee that if you put it in the oven, you're somehow miraculously never going to get dry chicken. You're just as likely to get dry chicken if you're ordering. I disagree, okay? Because if you cook it in the oven, you're going to cook it like in a, not on a cookie sheet, you're going to cook it in like a baking

sort of pan, right? And then all the grease and oil and stuff collects at the bottom, so there still is the moisture there. Like, you can overcook it, but there's still the moisture there. Whereas when you grill it, okay, especially when you grill individual chicken breasts, the likelihood of it being dry is great, and then all of the juices have all gone into the actual grill. I get your overall point, but I think you're just as likely, because to his point in the tweet that he landed.

Sorry about that. I thought we're debating. We were getting debate. I was going to go into debate mode, right? That's what I was going to do. Sure, sure. I think that's just inherent to white breast meat chicken as you run a high risk of it turning out dry, regardless of in the oven or on the grill.

Yeah. I mean, I think I sauteing it. I think grilling it is the highest percentage chance of it being dry. And breasts are very, very difficult. Although I do think that you can grill it and you can marinate it. And the flavor of the grill is outstanding. I mean, on the high end, a grilled chicken thigh is pretty tough to beat. I agree.

I actually have some chicken thighs that I may grill tonight. There you go. That's a good call. By the way, you're not one of these guys that do you do, do you take this, do you buy the skinless chicken thighs? I mean, I do, but it's mostly out of number one convenience and number two, my wife's preference. but in terms of like in a general sense, like I have no problem with chicken that has the skin on it. No, I understand.

It's just a lot more flavorful. No, definitely. But no, I mean, I would disagree. There are people out there that are like, I want no part of the chicken skin for sure. But that's mostly out of health, right, not out of taste. I think some people get... Do people not like the way the chicken skin tastes?

I think it's a texture thing more than anything. Oh. When did we create all the... It's like peanut allergies. I don't remember people have... People having peanut allergies. Now everybody has these texture things. I don't like this texture.

Like, I don't know. The texture is part of the joy to food. 100%. I can't take the different textures. Well, then you can enjoy life. You want everything to be mush? You know, I don't understand that one. I actually think the mixture of textures is one of the things,

and the mixture of flavors is one of the things that is absolutely, absolutely great. Man. Where are you, Jay Stu, on this debate? Are you hopping in in any? Are you disagree? in any way because there's a lot of agreeance here and that we got fried, rotisserie, smoked, and then the only disagreement is where we put baked

and where we put roasted slash, roasted slash baked versus grilled. I'm so in these culinary conversations. I feel like less of a person when I hear you guys talk about this. I don't cook. Never have been good at that stuff. So are you just like a you eat food for fuel?

You're not like that. If you're willing to make me food, I'm willing to eat it and I'm going to love it. But I will say this. I have been known to stop by the local supermarket and pick up rotisserie chicken and throw it in some lettuce. And that's delicious. Rotisserie chicken is, I think it's pretty underrated. And it's obviously easy.

It's ready made for you right there at the market. Listen, the ultimate single guy or I don't know what to buy food, whoever, okay, the two guys, greatest changes in our lifetime as men is one moving back the extra point in the NFL and whoever decided to sell these rotisserie chickens for $9.99 or less where you can just walk in, buy rotissory chicken and walk out and have a meal. Those two things have changed our lives more than anything else. I would say air conditioning, cruise control, indoor plumbing somewhere along the lines of top five. I think we solved the world's problems today. Enjoy the NBA draft. No, look, Brony's not getting drafted tonight.
