You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Michael Robinson, a Super Bowl champ, four years with the Niners. Seahawks, now an NFL network analyst, looking very regal today on the East Coast. Look at that. So I want to ask you, you played, I mean, Seattle and San Francisco, you talk about intense teams you were on. Philadelphia is similarly. That's an intense city. The media is tough.

The fans are tough. Players can't quit, but the time. tackling. Have you ever been on a team and you came out in the tunnel? And Michael, you just felt like this isn't it. Because that's what it looked like. And when I'm listening to broadcasters say, yeah, I don't like the body language. And the first series, you're like, we got problems. Have you ever faced that? I mean, first of all, what's going on, Colin? Hadn't talked to you in a while, man. But yes, I have been on teams where you come out the tunnel and you're like, this is going to be a very uphill battle today,

but we still didn't give effort like that when you talk about in terms of tackling, when you talk about in terms of not finishing blocks and things like that. That Philadelphia Eagles team, they quit on Nick Siriani, and it looked like this entire team, especially the last half of the season, there was a lack of leadership.

And you can look squarely at Nick Siriani due to the fact that, first and foremost, you outlined it before you came to me, the fact that he lost both, coordinators and really didn't have a real plan to replace those guys in all season, the same issues just kept showing up. That's number one. Number two, I can still, I can look at Jalen Hertz as well. He got paid this past off season, and to me it just didn't seem like he played with the same urgency and the same, I don't know, attention to detail that we saw him play with last season.

The time where it happened to us, it was I was with the Seattle Cautics. It was right after Beast Quake, we had just beat the New Orleans Saints. And we had to play the Chicago Bears in the divisional round. And I remember just stepping out to that game like, bro, for the last two weeks, we've been in basically in the playoffs, the last week of the regular season and then going on the wildcard weekend. I'm not sure we got enough juice to finish this game, but we still went out there and tackle.

We still went out there and put a great product or a decent product on the football field for our coach and staff. So, yeah, to second what you said, that Philadelphia team, they quit on Nick Seriani last night. So we watch two quarterbacks, and I've always said this, I root for quarterback play from young people because the league's more fun to watch when the quarterback plays good. So Jordan Love was bad in October.

Matt LaFleur was critical of him post game at the podium, and Matt's like a player's coach. Jordan Love now is just it. And C.J. Stroud, who, you know, his comp was Jared Goff, maybe, whatever. I watched those two. You know, you broke into this league at a Penn State. I just Those guys are

There's a phone So there we go Are you surprised How good Jordan Love and C.J. Stroud are first year starting Because right now CJ Stroud looks like a top five quarterback And I don't think that's being over the top

And Jordan Love looks significantly better than DAC Athletically, accuracy, confidence. Are you surprised by young guys being that good in the playoffs now? Well, no, not by these two young guys. First and foremost, joy and love.

If you really watch that game against the Dallas Cowboys, the Green Bay Packers owned the line of scrimmage. Matt LaFleur had a masterful plan at attacking the Dallas Cowboy defense. And quite frankly, the Dallas Cowboy DeFes, I've been talking about it on NFL Total Access for the last couple of months. The Dallas Cowboy Defense from a personnel state, at the linebacker level, they're just not built to defend the run. So if you're not built to defend the run, every single time that the Green Bay Packers turned around,

or Jordan Love turned around to stick that football out to Aaron Jones, the entire defense had to pause. The entire defense had to do something. And what that did was it opened up some one-on-one opportunities on the outside for Jordan Love to go out there and do his thing. And then when you look at the Houston, Texas, I'm the, I'm a huge, I'm the biggest surprised, by a C.J. Stroud just because I wasn't so sure that he was going to look this dominant in the National Football League. And it was toward the back half of the season. Everybody was talking about the tight window throws against man coverage and his lack of success against man coverage. And he just went out there and he completely diced up the number one defense in the National Football League. I love his pocket movement. I love his command of the offense.

He always seems to be on attack. Yes. You blitz C.J. Stroud, he's trying to beat you with a big play down the football field. So the fact that Jordan Love had a run game and the fact that C.J. Stroud is just being nurtured by our coaches staff and a team. No, I'm not surprised by the success of these young quarterback. You know, this is an interesting time. We were talking about this yesterday. I said, I think Seattle's a good job because they need a quarterback, but I like the roster and their cap situation. Washington has the most cap space. there are jobs I like Justin Herbert Chargers.

That's a good job. Left tackle, Keenan Allen, him. Dallas is fascinating. Jerry loves DAC. Dak's going to be a $55 million cap hit. I like Dak. I don't love him. I like him.

He struggled against good teams. And I said, the owner medals, you got to deal with that DAC's salary. You're going to have to pay CD, Micah, and DAC a hundred large in a year and a half. said, I don't know if Dallas is a great job. I like Washington. I like Seattle. You tell me, if you were a GM, not a broadcaster, you're a coach, is Dallas all things

considered? Pressure. Jerry, Dax salary. Is it a great opening to you? No, it's not a great opening just to be frank with you and answer your question. But I do believe it's a good opening if Jerry Jones can look at this team and realize that the only constant over the last 30 years of them not winning a Super Bowl, not making it the conference championships, the only constant has been Jerry Jones.

And if he can find some way to step back just a little bit, nobody's saying you still can't be the guy and this, but just step back. Maybe not a radio show every single week. Maybe not a press conference right outside the locker room after a team wins or loses. Maybe you cut back on some of that. And yeah, I do think this job is very attractive. I don't know if you remember. It was a show called All or Nothing that used to be on Amazon back in the day when they followed the Cowboys.

When Jason Garrett was the head coach, remember before every staff meeting? Who had to speak to everybody before the head coach? Jerry Jones. And to me, I think you just hurt your head coach if you do everything that has to go through the owner first. So San Francisco, we've been arguing all year. I like Brock Purdy, but I like the coach in the roster. and I said, Jordan Love's going to drop 21 points. That's what Green Bay does.

They can run it, the coach, they're going to score 21. If I told you, it's 27-all San Francisco Green Bay. I trust Jordan Love more than Brock Purdy. Now, Jason's got him, he thinks he's the next something, and I'm like, we have to contextualize it. That roster's Hall of Fame guys. What do you make? I mean, you're a Penn State guy. You're an all-American level player, Big Ten co-offensive player.

here comes last guy in the draft and now he's starting a quarterback don't you think some of those Niners are thinking it's more about us than him like do you buy you are a Niners what do you make of Purdy he does process

well and I'm just again this is what everybody's saying this is what I see on tape but again as a former player as an analyst I like the Jordan Love side of things just simply because when you just talk about straight quarterback play. I like the fact that he learned from Aaron Rogers, all those things. He sat, all of those

things. And Brock Purdy, yes, he has a Hall of Fame left tackle. I mean, Trent Williams has been the best left tackle in football for probably a decade now. The best left tackle in football. He has the best running back, right? Debo Sam is one of the premier wild receivers. Oh, yeah, and I haven't even began to talk about the defense, the linebackers, the pass rushers. I mean, this team is put together And this is where it really gets interesting. To me, Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch, they moved up in the draft to get Trey Lans, not just Trey Lans, but a guy with a certain tool set for a reason. See, I believe he's had a guy like Brock Purdy before.

He had a Matt Ryan. He had a Jimmy Garoppolo player. Well, he's been to the Super Bowl. But when he gets there, he needs a guy that's going to elevate above the X's and Ouse. To me, that's why he went so hard after a guy like Trey Lantz. and unfortunately I believe I know it's my former team but I do believe at some point the last pick in the draft Brock Purdy will show up that value

will show up hopefully it's not in this year's play Yeah I mean even the Niners passed on him six seven times So that's the reality of it All right Michael Robinson in a chair fit for a king I don't know where that is but that you just take that wherever you go It's very regal I like the look of it Michael NFL Network he's on NFL Total Access weeknight Six Eastern NFL Network

There's something about watching a football car crash. Like last night with Philadelphia, I'm like, how bad is this? To watch a big brand Dallas, Philadelphia, erode in front of your eye, watching McCarthy, the camera shots. I couldn't believe how big. I mean, the Packers, Cowboys. Can you imagine the number if it had gone to overtime? Well, how about this? Who does more for the number next year?

Belichick in Dallas or Harbaugh in Dallas? Harbaugh by a mile. Interesting. I would largely agree. If I own Fox, I would call Jerry and say, listen, we'll half the contract with Harbaugh. We'll give you half the money. Get Harbaugh to Dallas. Would that be?

I mean, they're going to have, they would have like five or six primetime games for sure. Well, you can only do like, there's only so many night games or primetime games. Max him out, basically. Can you imagine that? Yeah. Harbaugh on the Cowboys and Dak and expectations. Oh, Mike. Oh, my.

You're about to win a piece of pizza in 45 minutes. Is it legal for networks to pay for coaches to go play? Who knows? Harbaugh and the Cowboys versus Belichick. Oh, yeah. Harbaugh goes to the Cowboys. Belichick goes to the Eagles. Both NFC. What's some good NFC?

Oh, my God. You got to phrase the Brian Kelly thing differently. Some people might have, listening on the radio, might have just heard that. What? Brian Kelly to you. Maybe he could go there if Harbaugh leaves Michigan. I find that one hard to believe. I find what's harder to believe?

Kelly to Michigan or Belichick to Philly? Well, the Brian Kelly thing's interesting because you have to go big after Harbaugh. You got to go big. And Brian Kelly's big. He's done the north. What about continuity with the kid more who filled in the younger coach, not kid, but. Assistant to a legend? How often is that work?

He knows the team well? Oh, yeah, they all do. Fair. Go to the legendary coaches retire. They give it to a loyal assistant. The hit rate's about 10%. Just is. J-Mack with the news.

No, no, no, no. Turn on the news. This is the herd line news. You know, George Pickens is a really talented receiver on the Steelers. You're talking about them all season. So after they got eliminated last night, Pickens kind of went off

blasting the reps for multiple bad calls in the wild card loss. Yep. People are going to think what they're going to think, so it'll probably change a few perceptions. But like I said before, you can't play the bills. And the refs, you see what I mean, at the same time. So you're out there and you're trying to make the plays you are personally,

and then they're just taking away calls, throwing clear paths over Miles Jackhead, and called the P.I. It's not catchable. So just politically, when guys go back and watch this game, watch the refs, for sure. Oh, boy. Yeah, that's it. He is really talented. That guy, he's good. But listen, there are two teams in this league. Pittsburgh and Seattle. if you just put a dude at quarterback, both could win a Super Bowl.

Well, you also need a coach to rein in the receivers. I mean, you know, D.K. Metcalfe, he's been here. He's a guest on the show. He's gotten, he gets in foul moods. Now Pickens is like this third incident this year. Deontay Johnson's had some. Tomlons got a lot of headaches to deal with besides quarterback. This guy Pickens, man.

He's talented, but, ooh. I said before the season, I picked the Steelers to get in as a wild card team. I said they'd be a one and done, but I'll say it again. This roster in Pittsburgh is not the issue. I love it. I think their roster's outstanding. Really? Just not the quarterback.

I love Seattle and the Steelers. But they're built around like expensive Minka Fitzpatrick, expensive T.J. But again, but again, two receivers, two backs, a tied end, like their O line. They just can't get the coordinator and the quarterback right. All right. All right. Next up is Max Crosby. in Vegas, he's doubling down in his campaign to get the job for Antonio Pierce,

who did a great job as the interim coach. Speaking on his podcast, Crosby talked about how the Raiders screwed up in hiring Josh McDaniels over interim coach Rich Basatia in 2022, and he doesn't want the team to make the same mistake again, or else. It would be absolutely ridiculous and insane if we didn't bring back AP and give him an opportunity. I mean, like I said, we've already had the opportunity to do this, and we went, you know, we didn't stick with what we had and, you know, we, we, we, it all up.

I'm going to have to, you know, consider everything. You know, honestly, nothing's off the table. Clearly, I've made it very, I made it loud and clear that I want to be a raider for life. I want to be here. I want to win here. I want to retire here. But, I mean, if you go and start from scratch again, I mean, I got to consider everything. Well, he's not wrong with the McDaniels thing.

If they get the quarterback right, Well, they got to get the coach right first. Well, you've got to get the quarterback. How about this? Would Vrable to the Raiders maybe entice Max Crosby to stick around? He seems pretty hell-bent on Pierce or I'm out of here. Well, you have to be very careful. I love Max.

You have to be very careful about players deciding personnel. Well, continuity matters. You know that. Yeah, no, no, no. The players like him. Antonio Pierce, you know, if you get the quarterback right, you'll win. I mean, that's the league. If you get the quarterback right, if the Raiders draft the quarterback and it works, you know what?

It's funny. Jimmy G., we thought was maybe the guy. No, we didn't. Well, it's like a stop gap, like a Baker Mayfield. We didn't think he was the guy. We thought he was to stop. What do you do with Jimmy G? He's not coming back there, right?

You go draft a quarterback, and it doesn't matter. Aiden O'Connell's good backup. Doesn't move well. Good arm doesn't move. That's not the answer. I think you go get like, can you go get a Pennix or a Bow Nix? I think you can. Final story.

What are you cringed? They're both talented. What look was that? All right. Well, let's just move on. I got a better take on this. It's like you spilled something on the carpet. Ugh.

They're both good. So the Saints here in the last 30 minutes have fired their offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael after 15 years as the O.C. Now, remember, after Peyton left, Carmichael took over play calling duties under Dennis Allen. The offense was a train wreck to put it mildly for their car company. Is he the problem? Well, he was the longest tenured OC in the league. So this will be, if memory serves me,

Carr had like a couple different ones with the Raiders. This is like his fourth straight season with a new offensive coordinator. I don't know if he, is Carr the guy? Well, they paid him like he is. I mean, whether he is or not, he's got the contract. So do you let Carr have some insight into the OC here? I think you've got to get this right. You've got to win the division next year.

It's there for taking them. I'm always a little concerned about giving players personnel leverage. That's not their expertise. I don't even like coaches having it. Well, hopefully Dennis Allen doesn't make the hire. Conservative Dennis Allen, come on. They need to open it up. Sounds like you lost a few Saints' bets this year.

I had one loss all year that I was bitter on. And it was a doink, and it was a Saints game. It was like week four, week five, something like that. Let's bring him on Mark Sanchez, Fox Sports NFL analyst. Decade in the NFL. All sorts of stuff. Oh, he got video later. Double time on the video.

There was a guy in a Saints jumpsuit with a baseball bat looking for you. Yeah. By the way. Yeah. Be very careful. So we were saying this yesterday. is that there in the middle of the season

I don't know if it was middle but there was an article that came out on Sean McDermott was very critical 25 sources and Tom Compton had a similar situation you were probably in New York it was about 2006-7

probably a little early I think Strayhan talked about it quite a bit that they knew Cofflin was good but he was rough on players and rough it was just adversarial and the Mara family

said, bro, we like you. Lighten up. Talked to his wife, and he could have been defensive, and Kaufflin said, no, no, this is a good organization. McDermott hasn't lost since that article. And I was talking to somebody in the league that knows him, and they're like, he's a very thoughtful guy. He's a tough guy,

but he's a smart guy. And there is something about, when I used to cover the late Jerry Tarkhanian, when you get attacked, like it goes two ways. And Buffalo, this is the first time in like three years, I'm like, no, this Buffalo I like. Have you ever been in one of those Circle the Wagon's atmospheres?

Mid-season like that, not quite that way. This was an example to me that if the players didn't have a relationship with the guy and think he could change and think he could be the answer, they would have revolted, right? There'd be a mini riot or something and they would have been like, yeah, let's keep this story going. That's right. You know what I mean? They kind of came to his aid and once again, circled the wagons.

Let's take another look at this thing and embraced him and felt the change coming, knew he could change, knew he had the capability to change a little bit. And when, you know, I want to say it was in one of those, you know, where they recapped the whole year for America's greatest game. They recapped the Super Bowl year for certain teams. But Strayhan said, you know, it was like, this is the wrong example, but something to the effect of, like if I wear blue or red socks in practice, you know, who cares? And sometimes coaches have this rigidity tone where it's just,

this is who we are and all the details matter. Well, yes, all the details do matter. However, I don't know if the color of my socks are in practice matters if I'm going 100 miles an hour and I'm one of your best players. Like those kind of things, let it go. But we know how to turn it on. We know when to turn it on. We know when it's time to work. And so this team clearly has, has the ability to flip the switch. I just feel like this is their chance. If they're ever going to catch KC and they get them at home, you know what I mean?

After this, there's no excuse or else it's just going to turn into one of those things. Like, you know, you couldn't get them. This was your kryptonite. Mahomes and KC and Andy Reed and Spaggs, like that was your cryptonite. And you couldn't overcome that. This is a chance.

A team that's, you know, a Casey teams that's a little shakier than before on offense. They can't play from behind. Exactly. They're just not quite as strong as they've been. And teams go through that. And if teams go through an eight-year run, there's four or five of those teams that are just better than the other three years,

but they still get to where they should be and at least have opportunities. So this is the weekend. Josh got to play smart. He's going to get his. You guys mentioned it earlier in the show. He's going to get some. Now just take care of the ball in those critical situations. Don't give the chiefs a free opportunity.

This is going to be a good one, though. So I, people think I'm nuts on this. Veteran San Francisco, two weeks, doesn't play. They've been arrested some of their guys Week 18. And here comes young, hot Green Bay, house money, four receivers, five receivers. Niners don't have four corners. Green Bay is also the best first quarter team in the league. This has the makings of Niners going to get a little.

Are you calling it? I've just saying. Are you calling it? Say it with your chest. It'll be close. Eggo waffles over here. Just say it. No, I do the same thing.

I don't like picking you there. It's silly. That's what... Green Bay is... Young teams don't want time on. They're going to walk in. How are they going to respond? How are they going to respond to success?

This is a young team. They don't know. They've been on this incredible ride the last six or seven weeks. Beating teams. They're in uncharted territory. I feel like the Niners are like, yeah, dude, We're exactly where we wanted to be. You saw how they celebrated after that,

watching the iPad or whatever they were watching, to make sure they got the number one seed. I mean, it was like Debo and Purdy and C-MAC. Yeah, let's go. Let's go. We're the one. Okay, boom. We get our week off.

We get time to rest. And they're going to come out like gangbusters. So I wouldn't just say it's a lock. I understand where you're coming from, though, because Jordan loves playing at an elite level. Wow. This team is starting to gel together. This Joe Barry defense.

You know, they confused the Cowboys a little bit last week, and they made it tough on them. It's the same kind of game plan that Arizona used on the Cowboys earlier in the year. They ran it right at them. I mean, and Aaron Jones, how about the guy on the sidelines whose job it is to just put the sunglasses on Aaron Jones? Like he's James Brown or something, then they come rip off the cape. Like, that was awesome.

You know, you could tell they're feeling it right now. Young teams don't know what they don't know. You don't know what you don't know. You're kind of in your own bubble and blinded by your success. So it's okay, this is what we do. We win games on the road. Apparently, let's go do it again. And they don't even think about the adversity, the noise, whatever.

You're just locked in. So I asked Michael Robinson this, that, you know, when you were the Jets and Rex Ryan, those were intense teams, and you were teams that were grinders, so this may have not been something you can associate or connect with. But when announcers are saying early in that game, I don't like Philadelphia's body language. I'm like, oh, that's not good. If Tampa could have made catches,

it would have been over and eight years. It would have looked worse, yeah. It was just a dispirited. Have you ever been part of a team that you came out of a tunnel, Mark, and you just felt like we're not locked in? Just flat as a pancake, man. Like a bad soda, and you've got to go tell the guy, hey, man, we're missing something.

There's no fizz. And it was the way they went into the playoffs, and we say this all the time, but you've got a crescendo. You've got to be peeking at the right time. That means getting healthy. That means on the page with your coordinators, anticipating calls,

understanding the why, understanding the how this defense is going to attack us, and what's my checklist, what's my contingency plan for some of these problems we're going to face? We're going to have, you know, questions on this final exam. I need answers. And when you start to have those conversations seamlessly, and you can tell the teams that do,

the ones that are questioning stuff, the injuries were mounting up, they're limping into the playoffs. You don't think the bucks felt like, hey, bring them over here. Let's go. We'll go. When their team's down, you keep them down. You step on their throat. You don't even let them breathe.

And you could tell the bucks were right about there. I think a couple catches. And this thing looks a lot worse. But, I mean, you got free runners on Jalen Hertz all game long. And they come out with no juice, no energy. This isn't like, they didn't look like the NFC East juggernaut that they did at the beginning of the year. year or last year where they were running the table. It just didn't look right. And, you know,

credit to Tampa. Look at free runners everywhere. No answers. No quick answers. And he didn't have the quick answer of A.J. Brown. Okay, one-on-one on the edge, you want to send free rushers? You don't think Todd Bowles knows that. So you're not going to just throw up jump balls all game? Okay. Go get his butt. Go get his butt. Sorry. Go attack him, you know, and they did. What do you think Todd Bull is going to do? I mean, that's his calling card. I'm coming after you, dude. You better have answers.

And if you don't have answers, I'm bringing it again. And I'm not even going to let you breathe. It's very Brian Flores. Oh, absolutely. So you had noted last week, you said you're not too caught up on Dallas. They beat a bunch of bad teams at home.

So your feeling was Dallas was overvalued. J. Mack and I didn't have the courage to take Green Bay, but we did say this offense is... Upside alert. There's a lot of good receivers. How about this? They don't have to pay a receiver a tight end for four years, and they're all good. Oh, they're doing an excellent job. They've all improved.

Absolutely. they're executing at a high level. So let's talk Jordan Love first. Yeah, I think it's important when you have a first year starter in a new environment. I know he's been in the league for a while, but he hasn't started a playoff game. You want to equip your guys with answers. And anytime you get an empty formation in getting close to the red zone, getting close to the goal line and stuff, you can expect all-out pressure, especially a rookie quarterback or a first-time starter. Meaning, let's see if this guy's got an answer. And generally, an answer for empty, all-out pressure, you've got to communicate to your tight end and you've got to be ready to get rid of that ball here's how empty

protection works there's five guys okay so think of red uh green yellow and red at a stoplight they rush four you got five on four we're in the green they rush five it's one-on-one across the board you're proceeding through the intersection yellow light with caution i got my head on a swivel ball's got to come out six red light sirens bells whistles everything's going off sOS all hands on deck either stop before the intersection or you got a problem. So they're going to bring six in this first deal, and Jordan Love sees it. Roll the clip. So he's got to communicate and add.

There's his five receivers. Nobody in the backfield next to him to help him. Where's the tight end? Go get me my big guy, because these two guys interior are coming and they already got four down known rushers. Hey, get over here. I need you as number six. I got to communicate that.

Boom. Now I got to get my quick motion off. This all happens with like three seconds left. on the shot clock. So what does he get? He gets a guy in his face because they don't pass off this game properly, but he feels there goes Wix inside and outside. Excuse me, there goes read out inside. There goes Wix outside on a veteran corner, but they got combo coverage. I got two in breaking routes. He's going to have the leverage on this post, rips the corner's face off, and he has to clutch this ball because they missed the game in front. He should be

protected. Watch him almost start to throw this ball right away. And then he has to avoid 14. So he gets him in the popcorn machine. Shout out Chick-Hern. And then throws an absolute strike down the middle of the field off his back foot, fadeaway trick shot. Shout out Aaron Rogers. Are you kidding me?

Are you kidding me in your first playoff game? Number one, he had the answers. Number two, he's got the athletic ability and the awareness. And then number three, I mean, the dude's a gamer, man. You can't tell me he's not now. Now he's got that little juice in his head, like, boom, a notch on your belt, man. Heck of a job for him.

That was impressive. And you could even see Matt Lefleur after the game when he described him. He was just like, he's growing up in front of my eyes. Did he not like? Yeah, and also, Mark, some of this stuff, you can practice it.

But that play... He had the answer, and it should have all been covered up. The only guy he should have had to worry about, and I was shocked about this, but when you bring the tight end in with a stay call, somebody's covering him man to man. That guy just kind of flogers.

in no man's land. A lot of teams, they say as soon as you see the tight end block, go, fire, just to mess with the quarterback and cover up one of those lanes. You think if he had two guys in his face right there, he makes that same throw? I don't know. It's hard to say, but I was just a little shocked that they didn't fire that guy. Regardless, all right. Excellent play. Now we have DAC. For DAC. Okay, same thing. You're getting these formations to get information from the defense. Think of like forensic files. Okay, we got a little DNA here. Boom. That's one thing. Okay, we have cell phone records from this. Boom, there's another clue.

Okay, I'm going to find this guy who committed a crime, all right? This is how it works. Well, I'm getting information as soon as I motion people and where I formate these players. Who's who and where are they lined up? When you line a tight end, a running back, somebody non-receiver outside, well, who's going to cover them? If it's man, it's a safety or a backer.

If it's zone, it's a cornerback, right? Well, defense is trying mix it up for you. So watch deck. He's going to motion this guy first, and he feels the guy run with him. That tells me right now it's zone. But that's not a, or that tells me it's man when you run with a, when you run with a motion.

Right. But not that player, not that linebacker, not Campbell. He ain't covering CD Lamb. And look at outside. There's a cornerback on Ferguson. You can't cover those guys man to man like that. So personnel told me the story. Now you got triple slant.

Dallas runs this all the time. You read it inside out. Window number one, window number two, window number three. this should go Cooks to CD Lamb to Ferguson and Ferguson probably gets the ball because he might miss Cooks on the inside. If you do throw to Cooks, it's got to be on the number three, bang, bang, and you've got

to throw it before Quay Walker on the opposite side. Dax stares right at CD Lamb, Savage takes his shot, knows he can pass off the inside slant of Brandon Cooks to the backside defender. Just a big mistake. He looked right in on it and they started the game so

slow and then it was almost like he's got to force a couple to CD Lamb and it just looked like they were off, Dax sped up through his read. You got to trust the timing and the read of these things. You've got to steal the information from the defense. He's either got a dot cooks with the ball immediately or wait for Ferguson on the outside. Excellent play by Savage. Excellent look by the defense. Joe Barry and that defense really starting to peak at the right time. And they're going to need stuff like this next week. You don't think Brock Purdy's going to be prepared for that. Like, you better have some. Show me something else. You know, you got to see the whole picture with

just motions and formating guys. So, I thought Joe Barry had those guys rolling. One more question. Tua in the cold weather. You were an L.A. guy. Went to New York. Did you say they need to bring in somebody for cold weather? I said.

What are these guys, relief pitchers? Yeah. Get out of here. I'm just saying. Hey, dude, you're our quarterback. You're our pro bowler. You drove for 4,500 yards. All right.

Other guy. Let's go big, strong guy with a big arm. It's 30 degrees or less. You can't bail on Tua. He's too town. They just happen to play a cold game. I mean, hopefully you get at somebody at home. Hopefully you get a dumb team or something.

So you don't make that. It just happens. I mean, it's unfortunate. You know, play better in the last couple weeks of the season and host the games. Look at, look at the bucks. Look at the lions. You don't think playing at home helps? You don't think potentially they could lose that game in L.A.?

Although half Detroit would be here anyway because it's L.A. It's freezing out there. Regardless, you know, not my best examples. But, I mean, this is just, it happens. It's just the way it goes. you're a warm other team. You see, you remember your first cold game? Have to go.

Oh, God. Where? The half millimeter wetsuit, dude. Well, we played, it was the last game at, the last game at Giant Stadium against Cincinnati. Then we had to play them the next week. Oh, you told me that. Both games were under 20 degrees. L.A. kid.

Then the championship game against the Steelers. It was like seven degrees. Oh, it's brutal. It's brutal. But we had done it multiple times. Yeah, it wasn't like my first time. We didn't play in a warm. weather city.

But he's not, this was win, too, Mark. I mean, he's not a big, strong kid. It just happened to be

where they play. I mean, what are you going to do? Only, I need a guy in Miami who can only play in cold because we're going to be on the road

in the playoffs. I mean, I don't know. He had a rough game in general. It's a tough environment. It's something, it's not everything,

but how are you going to fix that? Right. Because my takeaway is McDaniel and Tua work. Oh, they look great. They were basketball on grass. They were,

a play here or there towards the end of their season changes where you play that game. If that's going to be the problem and playing on the road and this was also what top three coldest games ever. So if you're planning for that I mean a little bit of you might be wearing foil on your head. Hey so what well you know I'm more and worse. Okay, how about this? Belichick to Philly.

Harbaugh-Dalas Dallas. I don't know. Can you imagine Harbaugh Dallas. Wouldn't that be? I think he's more chargers. So do I. I think he wants a little more control. And I think with Jerry, you just know you're not going to get, you know, it's Jerry's organization. Press conferences.

Three a week. That's a lot, man. It's a lot to deal with. I mean, you have to answer what Jerry said. You've got to answer to stuff like that. And then it's, you know, it becomes a thing. Always. And you're constantly, you know, once again, fighting the war on two fronts and it just spreads you thin. That's a great way to put it. Yeah, Rex Ryan occasionally would say something.

Well, but that was Rex personnel. That was just him. It's not a bother you thing. It just becomes one more thing you deal with because, and the problem, the difference is like you put up with that stuff when you're winning. Winning covers up a lot of awards. As soon as you lose like this, then it just becomes another thing. God, that was such a pain in the butt all year to deal with.

Well, that's because you just lost. All right. Mark, you've been great, and we appreciate you stop. Hopefully we'll get a few more Mark Sanchez appearances with all this film stuff. We absolutely love it before the end of the year. Packers, San Francisco, I'm going to say it with my chest. You don't got it. You don't got it.
