This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.

I'm Michelle McPhee, and I've been unraveling the strangest criminal alliance I've ever
reported on, a Mormon polygamist and an Armenian businessman.
Multi-million dollar house, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, private jets, a billion dollar fraud.
But how long can this alliance last?
Tell me what you know. Is somebody coming after me?

At McShay 13 does an extraordinary job on this stuff,
known taught for a lot of years.
He was on with us.
Recently, we're bringing him back as the draft begins in earnest on Thursday.
So I want to start with this.
And I had heard this about four or five days ago,
that the giants in the room are split on Shadur Sanders,
which would lead me to believe,
They're not taking a player at number three.
They're split on.
You've been around these teams.
A lot of people have said day balls more Jackson Dart,
Shane's more Shadour.
How can you be split at this juncture, or is this common?
Let me ask you this question, Colin.
There are so few in the league that actually are really,
really good at developing quarterbacks, working with quarterbacks.
And there's a handful of guys who are, like,
consider one of like the better offensive minds, right?
Right.
And so I don't care if who you drafted quarterback even outlasts the head coach.
I'm utilizing what his special trait is.
The reason why we brought him in as the head coach is what he's been able to do with quarterbacks and offensively.
And so if Dable doesn't like a guy or if he likes a guy, aren't I trusting that opinion over the scouting staff?
And like, you know, I'm kind of a scout by trait.
and I believe in marrying the personnel with the coaching staff.
But in this specific instance,
I'm going with the coach that believes in the quarterback
and wants to work with the quarterback.
And so what I'm hearing matches up with exactly what I expected.
I've been saying for two weeks now,
I can't imagine Brian Daibol is kind of going all chips in on Shador Sanders.
Brian Daibald's worked with, you know, Jalen Hertz at Alabama,
Josh Allen and Buffalo.
He got the best out of Daniel Jones, a quarterback.
never thought should have ever been drafted where he was, but he got the best out of him when he was
healthy. And so Jackson Dart lines up with what Brian Daibow is looking for in a quarterback,
sturdy or build, mobility, energy on the ball. So I've always said, I suspect that Brian
Daibol is a Jackson Dart guy, or maybe even Tyler Shuck, or maybe developing Jalen
Milrow. But I can't imagine, especially in that division, in that weather,
that Shadour would be the guy that he said, we've got to have it.
And so it doesn't surprise me at all that this information is coming out.
The Shador and Dart thing is fascinating to me.
The same principles we're applying to Daeball apply to Kellyn Moore in New Orleans.
He's worked three O.C. jobs with Dak Prescott, Justin Herbert, Jalen Hartz.
Those guys are more in line with what Jackson Dart is.
So quarterback is not going at three from everything I can understand.
And you just pointed out.
I think it will be Abdul Carter if it goes Ward 1, Hunter 2.
So then Shador falls to 9.
Everyone's saying for about a week, and I was saying it's not New Orleans.
I don't think it's Shador, New Orleans at 9,
and I don't think it would be Shador to New Orleans at 40.
So now it becomes, what's the market for Shador?
And everyone's pointing to Pittsburgh, and I do have from pretty good sources,
Mike Tomlin does like Shador,
and there are people in the building that do like Shador.
But we thought for a little while, that's the hard floor.
That's where he's going to, you know, worst case, he goes 21 to Pittsburgh.
I was told Sunday night when I landed here in L.A.
But someone I trust that probably is much or more than anyone out there.
That's a softer floor than people think.
And it makes sense.
Like I think Pittsburgh would rather trade back.
They gave up the number, the round two pick with D.K. Metcalf.
So now we're in a situation where maybe it's like, hold, hold on these quarterbacks.
And we get into the 20s.
And yes, maybe a team like the Giants moved up a little.
bit for Jackson Dart or New Orleans
tries to get up ahead of them for Jackson Dart.
I don't see the team out
there and no one I've talked to sees the team
out there that if Shador gets past 21,
they're going to go racing in the
first round to go get him. So I'm
not saying he won't go in the first round.
We found out the night before
on Baker Mayfield. We didn't know about
Michael Pennix last year.
There's always one team kind of lurking.
And so can he go
in the first round if it's not Pittsburgh? Absolutely.
But I don't have a team where I'm like
they're going to come and be the parachute for Shador Sanders.
So we have heard, and almost everybody's told me this,
it's a remarkable running back draft.
So let's do some comps on this.
If I say Travian Henderson, Ohio State,
who does he remind you of,
or Amarian Hampton at Carolina?
Who do they remind you of?
Give me a comp, because you've said before,
and I've heard this from multiple people in the league.
It's like, this is a running back draft.
There are guys ranked 15th to 18th that may play early,
and be like regular starting backs in this league.
It's that good of a running back draft.
Take Trayvion Henderson at Ohio State.
I liked him.
I thought he was pretty good.
Does he remind you of anybody?
I think Jemir Gibbs is an accurate assessment
if you're trying to do like shades of or comparison.
And I'll tell you this.
And I said this at the Senior Bowl talking to people,
and that's when people are just talking ball
and they're not now trying to give out information for specific reasons.
There was some late first love in Mobile.
He wasn't there, but just talking to people on the field,
the Senior Bowl, and people just talking then.
And now as we get closer, it was, well, okay, it's going to be,
it's going to be Ashton Ginty in the top 10.
We'll get to that in a minute, by the way.
And then it's going to be Omarian Hampton.
Maybe he goes shortly thereafter.
Worst case he goes 20 to Denver.
I'm starting to get the sense,
And in part because this class is so good at running back and it's so deep that the running backs
could fall a little bit. And I'm also getting the sense that it won't be shocking if Trevion
Henderson goes before Omari and Hampton. And so it's just something to keep an eye on.
There are some teams in the 20s that I know of that have a lot higher grades on Trayvon
Henderson than people would like to think. Now, will they take a running back in the late
first when there's the end of the offensive tackle run is going to be there? The end of the
edge class run is going to be there.
So that'll be interesting to see, but don't
be shocked if Henderson goes before Hampton
and also don't be surprised if we
don't have, like remember 2017,
Colin, right? With that great running back
class, 30 running backs were drafted.
One of the best classes ever. It started with
Leonard Fournette and Christian McCaffrey.
Alvin Camero was in that class.
But there were only five running
backs taken in the first 85.
Because everyone in the league knew, we can
target our guy and different flavors
on day two, on day three.
Saturday. And so we saw a couple more go, but from pick 105 to the end of the draft, there were
23 running back selected. I think this class could be a little bit more like that.
So it's interesting. There's always a player, so the first round's over, and then everybody
goes out, has a cold beer, and they go to the lobby of the hotel, they talk, and all of a sudden,
there's one player, like a mecca, a Buka of Ohio State that didn't go, and whoever's got that
first pick in the second round, everybody's like, because I think that kid, I have taught, nobody I've talked to doesn't love him.
But, I mean, if he can do sideline, more of a slot, runs the right routes, work, you can see the work on the field.
So I have this feeling that he's going to escape the first round, and all of a sudden, there's going to be people that will move, everybody's saying it's a move down draft.
I could see people moving up if he's not drafted in the first round.
So my question is, is he a first rounder to you or very top of the second?
Because everybody likes him.
I agree.
If he's sitting there top of the second, he's a guy that you do move up for.
Yeah.
It was interesting.
I was at Ohio State for the pro day.
And it was Nick Bose's year.
There were some stars at receiver.
And Haskins was a quarterback.
So I was sent out by the network to go cover the.
these star players. Everyone I talked to, inside the building, coaches, people that worked in the
staff there, equipment managers, like, hey, this Terry McLauran guy, you have no idea how
important he was to this team. And he wound up going, what, third round, I think it was.
A mech is kind of the same. It's like, you watch him on tape, Colin, and it's not this, I made this
ridiculous comparison, right? It's not like when you go out to a nightclub or a lounge or somewhere and
You see this beautiful woman and she jumps up.
Like, there's no special trait with a mecca, but it's like the friend group you have.
And there's this one girl or guy that it's like always there, trustworthy, makes you laugh a lot.
Yeah.
And then over time, over time, you're like, I just, I like who I am when I'm around him.
Yeah.
I trust this person.
That's a mecca.
You trust him implicitly.
He's a force multiplier in your locker room.
You know what you're going to get 80, 90 catches out of them.
It may not be 18 yards per catch, but it's going to be like 11 or 12.
We're going to get first downs.
He's going to be a best friend to a quarterback in the league.
I don't think he gets out of the first round, but if he does, I'm with you.
I think teams should, but let's make a call overnight.
I checked in this hotel, by the way, and the first thing I saw, there's a tap in this hotel.
It's the herd pilsder.
So they'll grab a herd pilsner, right?
Can you believe me?
I walk in here, I got all my bags.
I got all my stuff.
and I see the herd-talesner tapping here.
So I had to get that on.
Well, hotels got good taste.
Okay, I want to end with this.
Abdul Carter.
He's been advised to get surgery.
He doesn't want to get surgery.
Drew Rosenhaus, very persuasive.
But that's, that worries me.
Like, I know he's talented.
I watched him play six times this year.
Is that a deal breaker?
Is that weird where he's got an injury?
Everybody's him, broke.
get surgery. He's like, I don't want to get surgery.
What do you make of that story?
I've talked to teams in the league, and they're not overly worried about it.
And it's kind of been left at that.
So I, you know, and I've talked to people like they've set their board.
One team I talk to today, they're doing their final.
Like, they've got their psychologists coming in, their doctors coming in.
So, like, different teams are in different parts of the process.
But ultimately, I haven't gotten any word from a single team where it's like, yeah,
that's something that we would shy away from.
Okay.
So I, let me, before we jump off, I just want to get to this.
This, this to me on Thursday night is going to be fascinating, okay?
I think Abdul does go three to the Giants.
Yeah.
I think Will Campbell does go forward to the New England Patriots.
I think this is a class where everyone I've talked to lines up with a lot of my grades.
There's no offense, the offensive tackle would have been the fifth,
fifth best tackle last year.
The wide receiver would have been the fifth best wide receiver last year, okay?
but we're going to see those positions bumped up because specific teams have specific needs,
like the Patriots at left tackle with Will Campbell.
I'm hearing now Jacksonville.
Think back to Trevor Lawrence and Justin Ross and T. Higgins, those six four receivers,
4,000 yards in 2018, 2019, 42 touchdown catches.
That's when he was at his best.
There's a six four wide receiver out of Arizona called,
a name Tederoa McNillan.
And I don't have him rated that high, but maybe he's the pick at five.
And then six, everyone says Ashton Jinty to the Raiders.
I'm hearing it's Armand Membue, the offensive tackle, or maybe an edge.
So we could have a group because of picks four, five, and six,
and specific needs at tackle and wide receiver that are there,
all of a sudden we get to seven in the Jets.
We get Carolina at eight.
We got New Orleans at nine.
The Bears at 10.
And they could have a situation where these edge rushers are still on the board,
Jalen Walker included.
We could have Ashton Jinty falling to the,
the Chicago Bears at 10, Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland.
I've talked to so many teams in the league, they all have them in the top nine or ten players on their board.
All of these, and Mason Graham defensive tackle.
So picks four and five are going to set the tone for this draft,
and the teams drafting after two and through Chicago could be looking at players
that they had rated three, four, five on their board that are still sitting there.
I can't wait.
Todd McShade, the run.
Todd McShade.
the ringer. Good seeing you, buddy.
Good seeing you, too, bud.
Yeah. It's
it's so funny that Hampton
and Ashton Janty are getting so much
publicity that people
are overlooking. Travian
Henderson at Ohio State, who's a stud
and if you looked up and said,
oh yeah, he made like four Pro Bowls,
you'd be like, yeah, yeah, I mean, he is a
burner. I mean, he is
big time, when that guy gets like a second
step, it's like, buy
So I don't know.
He's one of these classic guys is because Gentie is such an interesting player,
five and eight and a half out of Boise State.
Everybody's glomming onto him.
He's a very good player.
I think we're forgetting Henderson at Ohio State.
But can I push back on Henderson for a quick second?
He was on a loaded team.
I mean, they had two receivers who are incredible.
But they did not have a great offensive line.
It was good.
In the playoff, it was dominant.
I mean, listen, I like Henderson a lot.
I had him in first round in some mock drafts and some people were like a
and he's more of a second.
But he's great value as a second round running.
Like, you put him on the Rams?
He will be what...
They don't have a second round pick, but he is...
There's two guys from Ohio State.
This is why I keep asking about him.
Yeah, the other guy, too, who...
The receiver in Henderson, if they're not taken in the first round,
they have to be the first and second guy taken in the second round.
Those guys are start day one.
I know, but a lot of this, Colin...
We talked about Devante Adams earlier, right?
Awesome in Green Bay.
Goes to the Raiders.
Puts up numbers.
They didn't win anything.
Goes to the Jets.
numbers. They didn't win anything. You've got to be on a good team with a good coach.
Well, the other thing, Devante was expensive.
These guys' second rounders are free. So when you get
Devonte, okay, well, then there's people I can't get
because of the salary. I'm just telling you,
if those two Ohio State guys do not go in the first round, you can't tell
me it's a bad draft. Those are day one
exceptional starters. Those are really good college players.
What about your boy Will Howard? Or no, Riley Leonard.
Any chatter on those two?
A lot of people don't have my ability to see the future.
I saw the funniest stat on the Louisville quarterback.
What's his name?
Shook, Tyler, or something?
Everybody tells me, dude, he is literally 27 years old.
He's older than Trevor Lawrence today.
So he played in college for seven years.
He started for one season.
That's it.
Now, he had a lot of starts, like spot starts.
I said this.
Dude, when you go to college, remember when you went to college
in your freshman year you're in the dorm?
and there's the resident, the old...
Resident advisor.
Resident advisor, the RA.
And he's the one guy with a beard,
and he drinks like expensive beer.
And he's got like the nicest car.
And you're like, that guy's a winner.
No, he's just older than everybody.
He's just the old guy that you're like, man, he's drinking like,
he's not drinking Milwaukee's best.
No beast for that guy, yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's 27 and you're 19.
Right.
He had a bit of an edge.
So I would say that quarterback is the R-A of the drive that.
I like that.
Okay.
It's good.

So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
for people could call in and say, hey Jonas,
and then I wrote down in my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis. And I know firsthand because I competed
there myself. I'm Renee Stubbs. And on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast, I'm breaking down
everything happening at Roland Garris. Every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win
on clay.
Jenchian went. I mean, she went down to three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lennar Rabakina is arguably the best player in the world right now.
And I actually can win on any surface.
Because if she's serving, well, good luck.
Consider this your court side seat to the French Open.

Presented by Capital One, Founding Partner, a partner,
I heart women's sports.
J-Mack with the news.
No, no, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
All right, let's start with my guy, Jason Tatum and the Celtics.
They had a nice game one win over the magic.
Interestingly, our guy, Eddie House,
nobody, by the way, watches this show and texts me during it,
like Eddie House.
He is a big watcher of the herd.
He had a hot take here on Jason Tatum.
I don't know if you're going to like it.
Tatum was not among the top three MVP finalists.
And Eddie House is angry.
Most disrespected superstar in the league.
Wow.
Most disrespected all-NBA first-team player in the league.
It was it three straight years that he's been all-NBA?
He's disrespected.
And that's okay because sometimes that's fuel for the fire
and for the greater good of what the Boston Celtics are doing.
I think it's turning him into a monster, you know,
and eventually he's going to get that MVP.
Well, yeah.
I mean, he's a great player.
I only push back on one thing.
He's not the face of the league.
It's the only thing I've ever pushed back.
Well, should he have finished top three MVP?
Because it's SGA, Yokic, and Yannis, who all had his historically great seasons.
Yeah, but I would take Jason Tatum.
If you told me today, Janus or Jason Tatum, I don't trust Janus with two and a half minutes to go in a playoff game.
Dude, I don't trust him.
I get it.
No jumper in his game.
None.
He's got no jumper.
He'll get to the rim.
Okay, great.
No, by the way, physically he's had injuries.
Tatum hasn't.
Tatum does everything well, including late in games, hit free throw.
I love Tatum.
You know that.
I just don't think there's a case here for him to be top three MVP.
Janice's season, when you look at the numbers, they're like historically great for MVP.
He's going to finish third.
It's crazy.
Did you watch that first game in the playoffs?
Yeah, he had like 40 and 20.
Ridiculous numbers.
His teammates stunk up the joint.
Now he gets Dame back tonight.
Or whenever game two is, I, uh...
Stay away game.
Zigzag, stay away.
Yeah, ZigZag.
Look at you.
I'm not, I'm not, I will say this about Jason Tatum.
How about this?
If you said all things considered, salary, age, temperament, everything.
Who would you start your franchise with today?
Now, a lot of people would say Wembe.
Sure.
Okay.
And then, um...
Luca?
Uh, well...
Yokage.
I would go Yokage to...
How about this?
SGA or Jason Tatum?
Tough call.
I don't think so.
You know where I'm going on this.
Where are you going?
Tatum.
It's a good.
He's really good.
He had an amazing season.
No, I like, but I'm saying is if you started your franchise today, I think everybody would say Wembe Yokic.
I think a lot of people would say Ant number three.
He's more explosive.
Probably Ant.
I know it's close, but Ant made more threes than anybody.
And Ant is rising.
He's not in his peak yet.
I feel like I'm in the middle.
of Tateham could guard four positions. He can guard point cards.
Long off. I'm a Tatum guy. I like Ant a lot, but I go Tatum over.
So I would say Ant 3, and then I would get into the SGA or Tate.
You should rank the best American NBA players.
That would be a good list for you because it sounds like you think Ant might be at right now, number
one. LeBron has a case. I would say, that's tough. I would say
because SGA actually is Canadian. I'm sorry.
Best American player.
SGA is Canadian.
Yes.
Best American player.
Let me think about this for a second.
So let me give you the names.
Tatum is up there.
LeBron is up there.
I'm not doing LeBron.
He's not the best.
Okay.
Anthony Edwards.
John Morant.
No.
Cade Cunningham.
J.
Jalen Brunson.
Okay.
Okay.
I would go...
It is a coin flip.
I'd go ant because I do believe there's even another small level to his game.
Ant one.
Tatum 2.
Kewaillan.
Again, you've got to play more than
37 games.
LeBron's too old.
No, I mean, this is an issue with the NBA.
It's gotten very international at the top.
I don't think that's an issue, man.
Well, it isn't for us, but it is.
Listen, it matters when you go play at Duke,
Carolina, Yukon.
The Cooper Flag is going to be on this list next year.
Why? Because he went to Duke.
Yeah.
Okay.
And he's awesome.
So I would say Ant 1, Tatum 1A,
who's three?
It's not easy.
Yeah, I need some more time.
So do I.
That's a fun topic.
Who is number three?
Domestic player.
It's interesting.
I mean, listen, I can't even do
Jamal Murray.
He's from Canada.
He was on the Canadian national team.
I'll throw one at you.
Don't say Paul George.
Devin Booker.
Kevin Durant, Devin Booker.
They deserve mention it.
You've not given me a 39-year-old.
I like D-Book.
I like him, too.
He's in contention for three.
Steph Curry.
How about, here's another one.
I know he's 37.
Here's another one.
Shalen Brown's 4-5?
No.
Curry's above Jailer Brown.
Come on.
Are you doubting Curry?
No, I love Curry, but you're literally going.
I feel like you're reading in 1988 Sports Illustrator.
Was Curry even born in A.
I'm joking.
I'm thinking of all the young guys, and I would go, Ant, Tatum, Booker,
I guess I shouldn't eliminate Steph and those guys.
I shouldn't.
Yeah, I love the Amen Thompson as a step-per-stop.
Goofall. Donovan Mitchell.
He's up there? He's got to be...
He's above Jalen Brown.
Yes, yes, yes. No, Donovan Mitchell's top two or three. He's three.
And Tatum, Donovan Mitchell.
I apologize to that. Spida is great.
Yeah, well, that's...
Yeah, okay, let's move on to the Browns.
And GM Andrew Barry said last week that Jalen Milro may be the only quarterback that's
faster than Lamar Jackson when he gets to the NFL.
How about this one? This will surprise you.
Tom Pellasaro said that Milro is, according to coaches and scouts, the greatest runner of the football they've ever seen at the position.
No, no, I was told that.
I was talking to Steve Kime about that.
A month ago, and now Steve Kime and Clutch Sports represent him.
But Steve said on tape, he goes, that's the best I've ever seen at quarterback.
Listen, I love Milro.
You know, I'm high on him.
I would take him in the first.
There's nobody that could convince me that he's a better runner than Michael Ville.
was at Virginia Tech. Michael Vic was unbelievable.
I would argue Lamar's faster than Michael.
Yeah, according to 40, time.
But do you remember Michael Vick can we show Vic highlights?
Go on YouTube.
Michael Vick is otherworldly.
I mean, that guy was his story.
You're not going to get me to say a bad word about Lamar.
Mike, Lamar Jackson, and I loved Vic, but I've never seen anything in my life like
Lamar Jackson, anything.
I mean, you're splitting hairs here, but it's, yeah.
Mill Road may have, Mill Roe may be better than Lamar's straight lines.
speed, but Lamar's crafty. Yeah, he's like that. Final story is the Vikings, Colin. They made the
decision to move off Sam Darnold. J.J. McCarthy's their guy. Well, apparently he's working his way
back in preparation for voluntary workouts, which kicked off yesterday. Here's Kevin O'Connell on his
QB1. We might not be talking in the same lens that we did a year ago when everything was brand new.
That's the beauty of the year we've had with him, albeit without the physical reps since the injury,
but there's been a lot of time on task.
And just once again, I want to credit JJ for how he's handled really these last two,
two and a half, three months or so where I think he's ready to hit the ground running as of today.
So last year you had the Denver Broncos as your like team of destiny.
That was your team.
I've hit, let's be fair.
I've hit about four of those in a row.
All right.
Pat yourself on the back more.
I'm going to make the Vikings my team next year.
After the Jets.
I do believe, I'm a buyer of J.J. McCarthy.
Chicago is going to be way better.
Than the Vikings?
No, no, no. Chicago is a team.
Coach O-line, Chicago's going to win 10 games.
Did the Vikings win 14 last year?
Don't act like Sam Darno.
I thought you said they're going to be better next year.
They're going to be the team that I think has a sneaky run to like the NFC championship.
Minnesota?
Love their offseason.
Let's see what they do in the draft.
It sounds like you trying to drop me into Carolina.
two years ago. So you were out, you were fishing in the Caribbean, but Aaron Jones, the former
Packers running back who's in the Vikings. And during the commercial, he was telling me some
stuff about McCarthy. I'm all in on JJ McCarthy. Aaron Jones was hiking about up. They won 14
games. You think they're going to be better? Well, that is, maybe. What are they going to go? 17.
No. I don't, maybe not on the score. Okay, Jordan Love's not going to get hurt again. Chicago's
going to be notably better. And Aidan Hutchinson's
back for the line.
Ooh, I'm terrified.
I have Vikings winning nine.
Vikings win the division.
Boo ya.
Oh, I would bet you a...
That's your...
Oh, he was going to say a million dollars.
Well, I don't have a million dollars.
You might, Mr. Elitist.
Whatever.
Mr. Caval to...
Sitting next to the Kardashians tonight.
I'm the elitist.
I'm out there, upper deck with a bud light.
Whatever.
Are you done?
Yes.
Jay Mack with him.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The herd line.
News. I'll be,
why'd you make a sign? Can you take a sign?
NBA doesn't let you tonight. Hey, J. Mack.
Let us all see. Where's something bright orange or something?
All right. Enough of me. Let's get back to you.
Caviardt.
Okay. We take a break. We come back. It's the herd.
Be sure to catch live editions of the herd weekdays in noon Eastern 9 a.m. Pacific.

Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, news news?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast.
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how did we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Oh, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis.
And I know firsthand because I competed there myself.
I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast,
I'm breaking down everything happening at Roland Garris.
Every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on clay.
Jenchian went. I mean, she went down in three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lena Rubakina is arguably the best player in the world right now.
And I actually can win on any surface.
Because if she's serving, well, good luck.
Consider this your court side seat to the French Open.

Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports.
All right, good show today. Nick Wright, Todd McShay crushed. We appreciate that.
We had Nick on, you know, Nick as a LeBron loyalist, and there's nothing wrong with that.
I do think eight days off and facing a hungry, well-coats, underdog is not as easy as it thinks.
We all probably should have seen that coming.
The Lakers just played with no physicality until it was way too low.
late. Here's Nick on a down 0-1 heading into game two for L.A. tonight.
The Timberwolves over the last few years are in the regular season, I think 21 and 3
when Anthony Edwards has eight or more assists and the three losses, they scored a ton of
points. They just couldn't get stops. They are at their best when Ant is playmaking. I thought
the Lakers approach would be and I think it should be. Ant, you're going to be single-guarded.
and if you score 40, we'll deal with it.
Basically, what the Timberwolves did to Luca.
The Timberwolves said, Luca, if you get 40, so be it, you're not going to get 10 assists.
The Lakers had the opposite approach.
I think that's a mistake.
Yeah.
Odds makers have the Lakers favored by five and a half, which feels big the way they were pushed around in game one.
So that is the classic zigzag theory is something like Milwaukee was boat race by the Pacers.
Now, I think Indiana's got better players.
So that one's different.
I think the Lakers have better offensive talent.
So that's a fascinating story.
We were thinking during the break about domestic players.
It's not as though there's not a lot of them.
Ant 1, Tatum, 2, Donovan Mitchell, 3, Booker 4.
Halliburton's got to be up there somewhere.
He's tremendous.
Obviously, John Morant's consideration.
Zion Williamson is in the discussion.
I don't know if he cracks top 10.
Palo Boncaro.
Oh, Palo Baner.
I think definitely he's got to be like nine or ten.
What about a mellow ball?
No, no.
A lot of highlights, no thanks.
Paulo Bancaro is...
He's very good.
Yeah, he's going to be beaten.
By next year, what is he average?
24 a game, 23 a game.
Remember when Trey Young would have been on this list?
Like, when he took down MS.T?
He has had a bad regression.
Yeah.
And he's had some pretty bad, big spot performance.
Tyrese Max are your boy?
Remember last year this time?
You were loving Tyrese Max.
No, I like him.
It's just Philadelphia.
He's on a boat in Cancun right now.
Probably the same boat you want fishing on.
Hey, let me tell you something.
You go, when you bring those snapper in in the Caribbean,
that's not what they are actually.
You know, it's a, it's fun.
Get out there and go fish.
Was it, were they just biting left and right or?
Oh, no, yeah, yeah.
I mean, they were in the water.
Caribbean fish is great.
Water's 12 feet deep.
You can almost see them.
Will you jump it into swim with them or no?
No, no, you throw most of them back.
But the most, you know, but the people on the boat,
boat, that's dinner.
They love it. It was fun. They were funny people.
Fish it is a lot of fun in the Caribbean.
You know, it's not rough seas. It's aqua water.
What about you with the SPF? Are you like a 30?
Are you a 50? Yeah, I'm a 50 as well.
Yeah. All right. So,
I've got to tell you
this draft is interesting.
There is a, you know,
here's what I don't like. How many stories
just connected to the giants
have there been? No, I mean, seriously, there's
one when we entered the show today,
a rumor about Jackson Dart,
and there was one during the show today,
is that both Cleveland and the New York Giants
are considering moving down.
There's just too much noise around the Giants.
By the way, you know who there's not noise around?
The Jets?
Aaron Glenn has shut it down.
Glenn and the new GM?
Super quiet.
Like, there's no leaks about the Jets right now.
There's leaks galore giants, all the bad teams, of course.
Yeah, you know, you can say what you want
about the quality of the draft.
But there's going to be a lot of players that go in the late first round, like these Colston-Lauvelin guys and Trayvian-Henderson guys.
The top of the draft may not be good.
There are a lot.
The second round wide receivers, four to five guys will get drafted.
All will play early.
There is, it's stars no starters everywhere.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers.
I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick. And guess what?
