of Kyler Murray scrubbing the team from his social media, but he hopes the two sides can find some harmony in their relationship. I haven't talked to Kyler in a while, but he looked good in the Pro Bowl, looked like he was having a great time throwing touchdowns out there. And I just hope everything works out the way both sides wanted to work out. That's really what it's all about for me.

I love Kyler. I love the Cardinals. And I want the best for everybody. He's a nice guy. Yeah, I mean, Larry's going to say the right thing. Kyler wants to get paid. He's been hurt twice. He's a smaller quarterback.

He doesn't like getting hit. He's like, I want to get paid. Well, I mean, it deserves to get paid too. No, no question. What is the question? Are you moving on from Kyler Murray? No. Not in that division. Sometimes with these contract negotiations, it feels a little bit silly.

Like, it's Kyler Murray. Just pay him. Just pay him. Yeah. It doesn't even really need to get contentious. And I don't really know what to make of it either. Maybe it's for that. Maybe it's, he just is rebranding why people do things like this.

What are they saying on the Internet? What are people? The Internet's are saying, and this is completely unsourced in every point. possible way. Okay. So it could mean absolutely nothing. I don't even feel comfortable saying it. That it's for a Super Bowl commercial.

That's what I've seen on the Internet. In the deep dark web. Well, remember Brady a couple years ago? He had a mysterious tweet or something and it ended up being a brilliant Super Bowl commercial? Yeah, it was like him, like, is he walking in of the tunnel, out of the tunnel? So yeah, I mean, maybe it's that. Maybe it's a contract negotiation.

Maybe he just wanted to clear all the old stuff of the social media and start over again. I don't know. But if it's contract, it feels a bit silly on the country. Cardinals part because he is clearly the future of the franchise. He's a huge brand, a huge talent. No, you haven't had the success yet that you want with him, but what are you going to do with Kyle? Well, 17 years with Aaron Rogers in Green Bay, he's got a Super Bowl. It's hard. It's really hard. Stop comparing yourself to Tom Brady. It's one of them. Really hard. And maybe very soon, well, let's wait until the Super Bowl first.

I think Joe Burrow in that conversation. But Patrick Peterson did the same thing whenever he was unhappy with the way the Cardinals were handling his situation. He scrubbed the Cardinals off of his social media. And Colomerie is eligible for a contract extension this off season. And they have until made to decide whether to exercise a fifth year option on his contract. He's currently scheduled to earn a base salary of $965,000. But with a $4.5 million roster bonus, it's fully guaranteed on the fifth day of the league year.

So essentially, he'll be making around $5 million, which in comparison to some of the other quarterbacks out there is obviously very small. in the salary department. Kyla Murray is the quarterback. He's the franchise quarterback there. I don't know that anyone's questioning that. In that division, the idea of not having a star quarterback is terrifying.

Just pay him, get it figured out. Yeah, I mean, just pay him. I don't even know what the discussion is. So the Titans announced yesterday that they have extended the contracts of GM, John Robinson, and coach Mike Rable. He joined the Titans in 2018. I mean, I think he should win coach of the year, right? Yeah, I would have given coach of the year.

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, he is 43 and 27, including the playoffs that ranks the highest in franchise history is winning percentage. AFC championship game in 2019, back-to-back AFC South titles the past two seasons, and they went to 12 and 5 and were the top seat in the AFC. Obviously, didn't go through the postseason the way that they wanted to or plan to, but they were also without Derek Henry for most of the season.

Listen, they had a ton. In fact, there's a stat out there. I think they had, didn't they have the most players on IR and the league? and ended up a number. You and I said at the end of the year, how the hell are they number one seed? We couldn't figure out. Yeah, I mean, they're a very consistent team, though.

I feel like the Titans, the Titans are sort of like the Toronto Raptors before they got Kauai. Just like a great culture, nice stars. Smart, well-run, well-coached, real respected, great regular season team. Playoff team. But just don't have enough juice.

A quarterback. They just don't have enough to just the quarterback. Yeah, yeah. But by the way, they tend to play, one of the things I like about them, they can play a little bit up to their competition. They remind me of a southern version of the Steelers. The games they lose sometimes are head scratchers, but when they go on the road and they're an underdog, like the Rams, and you're like, oh, they just push them around the field. They got a very Pittsburgh feel like they rise to the moment. Sometimes on Sunday they don't show up in games they should dominate.

They lost to the Jets. But I always think the Steelers and the Titans got smart people in the. the building. Yeah, and I mean, the Titans obviously have more talent on the roster right now than the Steelers do, but I just, the, the, the Tannahill thing to me is, uh, they had 54 players on, on IR throughout the season. I don't even know it was second. On the IR. That's insane. That is insane. And they were a number one seed. That's really crazy. So the Nets and Sixers reportedly held discussions yesterday about a trade centered around James Hardin, Ben Simmons. A lot of people think it's going to happen by tomorrow. ESPN's Brian Windhorst set up the trade. The sides are

absolutely talking, absolutely negotiating. Does this mean we'll absolutely get done by tomorrow? I can't say that. I can tell you how much James Hardin wants this. He is screaming in every way possible he can. I don't want to be here, get me out of here. That's what spurred this into being James Hardin's basic feeling of I don't want to be here anymore. The Nets are reportedly asking for Simmons plus two or three other pieces in the form of players or draft picks from the Sixers, which is perfectly reasonable.

I mean, James Hardin is still a top player in the league, by now this has gone this year. And Ben Simmons hasn't touched the court this year. and can't shoot. So despite that he might be a better fit with the Nets, it's absolutely within the Nets right to ask for extra pieces on top of it. It's not going to be a player for player trade. I do think we talked about this.

Ben Simmons fits Brooklyn pretty well. Because they need size. Length. He's a distributor. He's a defender. And Hardin would be great with the Sixers. I don't know. I don't know if the Sixers just don't get this done.

What are you hoping for? Oh, this is the best possible scenario. What's a better deal? This is a great deal. You're getting a star, which is what Daryl Moryo was wanted. You're getting one. Not only you're getting a star, you're getting a human that's going to be on the court. Yeah.

Like Ben Simmons doesn't play basketball for you. Yeah. So it's not like you're moving someone who is contributing as well. He's literally not even playing. So to add extra pieces to it, like just you need to get this done. Not just for the sake of like it being interesting. Like if you're going to move on from Ben Simmons, you're not going to do better than James Harden. That's it.

You're just not. So if you have to lose a couple extra pieces and maybe this isn't your year, we're at the, all start break anyway. So I don't know. Austin Echler, who had 20 touchdowns this year, was not drafted. Debo Samuel, who's probably the most versatile player in the entire league, was drafted in the second round. He is, it's just insane what he can do. He is the ultimate chess piece for Kyle Shanahan, who's one of the smartest coaches in the league. And you don't have to be a Niners fan. I said this multiple times this year. I love Debo Samuel. I can use him at running back.

So what's interesting, Debo, when you came into this league, you were a wide receiver. and then at some point the Niners said, okay, we got to get this guy the ball way more. What was the discussion like with Kyle Shanahan when he decided, Debo, I'm going to put your running back.

What was the discussion like? It really wasn't a discussion. Kyle came to me and he was like, hey, Debo, we're going to hand you the ball a little bit this week. And then I think from their own it's just starting to grow. Do you like being a running back? I like whatever it takes to get the ball in my hand When you do get the jet sweeps though Debo

You take more shots Do you do you is it You get beat up a little bit more running back Is that bother you? No sir not at all Because I'm really the guy delivering the blows out there How much do you weigh 220

Boy you look bigger than 220 to me That's all I know When Run bigger but that's probably why I look that way Yeah, yeah, you do. So what's interesting, Debo, you guys beat the Bengals and you beat the Rams. So I want you to explain to me. Let's start with the Bengals.

What is the strength of that Cincinnati defense? And maybe what is the weakness of the Cincinnati defense? Their strength is their front seven, of course. I wouldn't say it's even a weakness on the back end at all. Rams. What is the Rams strength as a defense? I mean, I think the world know what their strengths are the guys on the defensive line. Aaron Donald.

Yeah. One of the best defensive players they ever play the game. The Rams. If not the best. Yeah. The Rams and the Niners now have a very intense rivalry. I mean, you guys play, the games are going back and forth and back and forth. It's a pretty, like a college rivalry.

It's very intense. Yes, sir. When you watch the Rams in the Super Bowl, does it drive you crazy? Yeah, it definitely do. Just thinking about what happened a week and a half ago, it's just, you know, it's just built up fuel that I know that it's going to carry over the next season. Yeah. Take me to the Green Bay win for your franchise. You got hurt at the end of the game.

First of all, I'm not sure. You're from South Carolina. Had you ever played in a stadium that cold? Not only have I not played in a stadium that cold, but I ain't. never been that cold a day in my life. What was it like to get hit in zero degrees? Every hit hurt. Really?

Like real bad, the ground hurt. Getting tackled hurt. Even the hits that don't look like they hurt, they kind of hurt. Wow. So in the off-season, because you do, because of the way you play, you get hit a lot. I mean, you're a physical player. How do you kind of get back healthy, get in shape? What is your off-season going to look like? I mean, in the next two weeks or so, I'm going to hit the ground running.

My off-season consists of not too much of lifting weights, more of like stretching, yoga, a lot of conditioning, and, like, Kaiser machines just to get ripped up because I'm already like a heavier, thicker guy, so I don't lift too many weights in the off-season. Wow. So, Trey Lance is in the building. Jimmy Garoppolo is. And I had said it before is there's something about Jimmy Garoppolo. The guys like him.

There's just something about him. He's a guy's guy. If Jimmy Garopolo is traded, how do you feel about that? I feel fine with it. I feel like he was a great leader to Trey, showed him how to practice. I don't know too much about, you know what I'm saying? What was he teaching him about the playbook? But I feel like once Trey get a really good glimpse of what it takes to prepare to be a start in his league,

I feel like he'll be a superstar. Debo, you are in the final year of your contract. You're obviously a wildly valuable part of that franchise. Is that something that's on your mind? Do you think about it? Are you concerned about it, or is it not? I would say I'm too much concerned about it because, I mean, I talk to Joe and John. I talk to Cal.

I just feel like we're going to do what's right. I don't put too much into it. I feel like my agent and Jordan Cowell is just going to find a situation to get something down. Okay, so you are, I was reading your stats here. You only had six carries through eight games this year, and then you had 80 carries in the final 11 games, including the playoffs. When there's got to be a fit. Would you rather line up wide, or do you like the ball early in your hands? Do you like, I mean, do you like bubble screens, or do you like to run a pattern and get it downfield?

or do you prefer you get the ball early in the sequence? I would like it early in the sequence. Me personally, I feel like you give me a screen. It's liable to go to the end zone because I just got a feel for the, I just got a great field for the field, and then we got great linemen to get out there and block whenever we throw a screen to anybody. Were you in high school?

Did you ever play running back in high school at all? Yes, sir. My last year of high school, I had 900-plus rushing and 900-plus receiver. Wow. They figured you out in high school. It just took the NFL guys a while. When you didn't get drafted in the first round, did it upset you? Not really, because I kind of had a glimpse of what was going to happen due to all the injury history that I've had. I knew I was kind of going to fall. But when I went to the senior bowl, I think I kind of eased my way into the first round.

But it didn't happen. But as you can see, all the teams that gave up on me paying right now. All right. So Jalen Ramsey's in the Super Bowl. likes to talk a little bit. He's going to be facing Jamar Chase. When Jalen Ramsey has guarded you in the Niners Rams game, is he a talker? Do you have a conversation with him? So that's

Kind of a bigger receiver. You used him. You know what he reminds me of, actually, the late Aaron Hernandez for New England, who was this unique chess piece. But Aaron Hernandez, it was a tight end for New England. You could put him in the backfield. You could put him in the slot.

you could put him out wide. And for a coach like Shanahan or Belichick, kind of academic leaning, you can use these players in so many ways. But he's also just extremely physical. He's a great yards after the catch guy. Like he just said, like if you get the ball to me in a certain space in the field,

I'm going to get to the end zone. Some guys just have that ability. And he does. And he was hurt in college. He kind of has a, he's a unique player, but he has an old school field to him because he is that, like, so physical.

Well, in Kittle and Debo get banged up a lot. Yeah. But they're actually perfect for Shanahan's system. So, like, I always feel a little bit with San Francisco. They draft physical players because that is their stuff. Well, that's a big part of the reason why they gave the Rams so much trouble. Yeah, Rams are a prettier team. The Rams have the better pass blocking line.

The Niners feel like they have a better run blocking line. It's kind of what's interesting is Shanahan and McVeyer are very good friends. They really have different cultures, but both are great. One's very physical, very run-oriented. The other one's run-oriented, but it elevates the quarterback. They put more in the hands of the quarterback. One's a little prettier. One's a little more blue-collar and physical.

That's the record. He has it. All right, Matthew Stafford. Oh, this is very exciting. I don't think he wanted to be a pro wrestler. That's false. That is false. He did wrestle in high school, but he never wanted to go. Yeah, he was a great wrestler in high school. Ping pong is a, a very consistent hobby of athletes. Is it?

Yeah. I mean, it's very competitive. Anybody can play. I used to play my dad all the time. I'm terrible at ping pong. My dad was way better than I was. I remember that. All right, Sean McVeigh,

once beat out Calvin Johnson for Georgia high school player of the year, has the highest win percentage amongst coaches in the Super Bowl era to not win a Super Bowl. It was a sophomore in high school when Tom Brady won his first Super Bowl. Time out. He once beat out Calvin Johnson for, for Georgia high school player of the year? Do you know how good you have to be to be

the Georgia high school player of the year? That is false. Sean McVeigh was the high school player of the year in Georgia. Correct. Yes. He beat out Calvin Johnson. Who's a Hall of Famer?

Georgia has like 100 players that go to Bama, Georgia, LSU, Auburn, and Sean McVeigh was the best player. That makes no sense to me at all. Well, there you go. Two. You did pretty good on that. Not terrible. No, two truths and a lie, the Bengals and the Rams version.

We were saying this earlier. If you look at the schedules, that it should be a close football game because if you look at the Rams, they've played 20 games, 18 of 20, win or lose are close. So the Bengals play in close games. Close game with Tennessee. Close game with the Niners. Close game with the Packers.

Close games with the Chiefs. And if you look at the Rams, there's a couple more blowouts. They blew out a couple more teams and were blown out a couple times. But overwhelmingly, their games are close. The Rams have won eight of nine, should be nine straight, blew a 17-0-0 lead to the Niners at SoFi. So when you look at the numbers are four-and-a-half point spread, the wise guys like the Bengals, especially now that you get a little bit of a hook, a four-and-a-half. So, you know, my initial impressions of this, Rams have a dominating defensive line.

The Bengals struggle to pass block. It's going to be a mess. But the truth is, you can run a little bit on the Rams, and the Bengals are very good at it. And the Bengals don't get blown out. They win or lose close. They don't always blow you out, but they're in a lot of close games. And my perception is the Rams blow more people out. And the Bengals, you know, they got tagged a few times.

They didn't lost some overtime games, lost close games. And when you look at Cincinnati, who, they, you look at the top teams they played. They brought their best stuff against the top teams. They lost to Cleveland badly and the Chargers. Neither made the playoffs. But they packers, chiefs twice. Tennessee, Green Bay, San Francisco, really close efforts. In fact, I watched that Green Bay game.

It was really windy. It was kind of a special team's mess, and they had the Packers beat. And that was at a time we thought Green Bay was arguably the best team in the national football league. Don't change your plans, even though the weather is nasty in parts of the country. Change your wiper blades. They are available, Michelin Wiper Blades at Walmart.
