This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel
and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged. It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's
superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Hey, what's good, y'all?
You're listening to Learn the Hard Way with your favorite therapist and host, Kear Games.
This space is about black men's experiences, having honest conversations that it's really not safe to have anywhere, but you're having them with a licensed professional who knows what he's doing.
How many men carry a suit or armor it?
It signals to the world that you're not to be played with.
And just because you have the capability that does not mean that you need to.

Hey, this is Robert from the Stuff to Blow Your Mind podcast.
Joe and I are both lifelong Star Wars fan, so we're celebrating May the 4th with a brand new week of fun,
thought-provoking Star Wars-related episodes.
Join us as we tackle science and culture topics from a galaxy far far away,
such as the biology of tauntons and wampas on the ice planet,
or the practicality and corporate business sense of the Sith rule of two.

NFL kickoff week, sponsored by Las Vegas, your home for all live sports.
Every game, match, race, competition.
It is always on.
Las Vegas.
Greg Jennings, Fox Sports, decade in the NFL, second round pick.
Played in Green Bay for a long time.
Well, it's interesting because Alan Lazzard's banged up.
And we said it a couple days ago, Greg.
You got three rookies.
Sammy Watkins struggles to stay healthy.
Randall Cobb is a good slot guy that passes.
is prime. There's Amari Rogers, too, who nobody mentions. It didn't get on the field much. So you got a lot of
moving parts. And I do think people evolve in life, but to this point, it takes a while for Aaron to
trust you. That's his resume. That's not an opinion. Do you think Aaron's going to have to change a little,
Greg? He's going to have to trust some guys right out of the shoot. Watson, the kid from Nevada.
Do you think he can do it? I do. I think he understands that he has to be a new.
version or a different version of himself, but still the elite MVP caliber quarterback that we've all
seen over the last couple of years. Do I believe he can do it? I do believe he can do it because he
ultimately wants to win another championship. And in order for them to win a championship, he understands
that these guys are going to have to gain experience early often so that later in the year they are
ready to make a run. So the only way you do that is if you give them opportunity,
opportunity to make these mistakes early and have success early. They're going to do both. You want to
lean on the side of success more than you do the mistakes, but the mistakes are bound to happen across
the board, but you want to have those happen early so that later in the year there's trust,
there's chemistry, and you're off to the races when it comes to the postseason. You live in
Minneapolis. I think the Vikings are going to be really interesting. They elevated their pass rush,
got Zadarius Smith.
The defense won't be as good as Green Bay.
I think it's maybe the Packers' best defense in 10, 15 years.
But they have a lot of weapons,
and I do think Kirk Cousins is the kind of quarterback that needs support.
You know, John Elway was still great when he was fighting with Dan Reeves, right?
But there are some guys, they're better when supported.
And I felt like last year with Kirk, he and Zimmer,
there were just obvious fissures in the relationship.
And then we later found out, like Brian Flores and Tua,
there were. It was reported by multiple people. So I tend to think Kirk is going to play about as well as
Kirk can. I really like their receivers. You're in Minneapolis. You read the newspaper every day.
You see the practices, local TV. What are your expectations for the Vikings?
I really like this team. This is the team that I have winning the NFC North. A large part, because of
Kirk Cousins and his consistent play at the quarterback position because he does have the support,
not only in the coaching staff, but around him, a healthy Dalvin Cook, behind him in the running game and in the passing game.
And then you obviously have the guys on the outside at the skill positions, Adam Thielen, and Justin Jefferson, who is an emerging top three, if not already, wide receiver in this league.
And Irv Smith, if they can get some more production out of him.
But this offense is going to be a juggernaut for any defense.
And then when you add what they've, if you look across the line and you see what they've added on defense,
will they be improved, of course.
But will they be elite?
That is to be seen.
But this is where they, this is one of those years where we'll see either a MVP level, Kurt Cousins,
or in the team will have great success, or it'll just all fall apart.
But I don't believe it to be the latter.
I believe it to be the former.
You know, we talk about Traylands Jimmy Garoppolo from a quarterback perspective, but let's talk about it from a wide receiver perspective.
Jimmy Garapolo, for all of his limitations, is accurate.
And this team, Brandon Ayuk, George Kittle, Debo Samuel, all excellent after the catch.
Get him the ball, let them make people miss.
Well, Jimmy Garoppolo just puts the ball right there.
Trey, much higher ceiling, not terribly accurate.
So from a receiver, I mean, we talk about this, from a receiver's perspective,
I can see guys by week two getting frustrated being like, hey, you just got, it's a nine-yard swing pass.
You got to put it on the numbers.
That's something we don't talk about.
In that receiver room, discontent by week three or four, do you think that's possible?
I definitely believe it's possible.
There's definitely going to be a learning curve for Trey Lance and growing pains.
From what you're talking about, Colin, this is where my concern arises when we talk about
Trey Lance and then bringing back Jimmy Garapolo in the fold.
Because now you have a guy who's behind your guy that you're giving the keys to the car
to and saying, drive us.
you have a guy that I know as a receiver,
well, he was able to get it done.
He was able to get me the ball where I wanted it,
when I wanted it, and let me do what I do best.
Trey Lance and a lot of young quarterbacks where they struggle,
it's not even so much the accuracy.
It's velocity.
Like knowing when to throw hard,
knowing when to add touch,
that is where he's going to, in my opinion,
struggle the most because when you're dealing with the team
that extends the run beyond the,
the tackles with their receivers, with their skill positions, you have to be able to hit
90 to 95, 100% of those throws when you're trying to execute them and extend the run and
basically use those plays as extensions of your run game.
So that's where I think he's going to have to improve quickly and drastically.
And if he can do that, then everything else we expect him to have a bit of a learning
curve, being more accurate down the field, going through his progressions, all those things.
But if he struggles out the gate doing those simple things, getting the ball on the quick
screens, the quick smokes, the quick hitters to Adivo Samuel, I, these are guys who get the
ball, as you alluded to in their hands and make things happen, then you're going to be seeing a
lot of cameras pan to the sideline, conversations between the receivers and Jimmy Garapolo.
Like, man, can you talk to them?
Can you get them to just take some off the ball?
Put it on us. Let us do what we do best. That's what I think he's going to struggle with if he doesn't hit that right out the gate.
You know, it's funny. I was talking to somebody the other day about this. I forget who was on. And I said, I really like Russell Wilson. But among players, he was voted 61st best player in the league, among players. And I always hear this about Russell. Oh, he's always promoting Russell. You know, whatever. I think in the NBA that's understood. But in football, it's kind of a team game more.
And I don't know if Russell's loved by all the cool guys in the NFL.
I don't know.
I like him a lot.
But it is interesting.
Aaron Rogers has his own opinion.
Kyler Murray did it his way.
Russell did it his way.
We pay these guys now 40, 50 million bucks a year.
They're like NBA stars.
They're like international soccer stars.
What do you make of the talk about, you know, Russell's kind of a, you know, he's very, you know, pro-Russ, let Russ cook.
You know, some people feel it's not always authentic.
How does that land for you when you look at Russ?
Because you played with two iconic quarterbacks.
I did.
And one of the things that I will say about Russell Wilson is he has been consistent in who we have seen him and known him to be.
So I don't mind Russ being about Russ.
Everybody is about themselves to some level of degree.
However, when you're playing the quarterback position as a receiver and a former receiver,
I want my quarterback to want the ball in his hands.
I want him to want to cook, if you will.
Because that benefits us as an offense because ultimately I feel like receivers are what makes this offense and this league thrive.
With Russell Wilson being about himself, it's not mutually exclusive to himself.
It is spread amongst a cast of individuals, that being his offensive line, his skill position guys.
They get that residual effect of him being the Russell Wilson cooking chef in that kitchen as well.
So I don't mind it at all.
I think this new destination for Russ is going to be great because they're not going to buy into what they've heard.
They're going to take what they receive.
And I believe Russell Wilson will be really good for this team.
I don't think they'll come out of the AFC West as division champs.
But Russell will definitely improve this roster.
Finally, you won a Super Bowl.
Rams just did as well.
I look at it and I think to myself, it's a good culture.
It's a good team.
I don't think they'll be quite as good in the offensive line.
And, you know, once you win one, it's never, you know, maybe you don't have quite the drive.
I don't know.
I think they'll be a little better at linebacker, a little better at safety, not as good in the O line.
A little better at running back because Camakers is going to be available week one.
take me to the year you won the Super Bowl the following opening week the following year is it a little harder to be motivated
it actually is not harder to be motivated i think the motivation is always there it's what comes with
that motivation now and what's tagging along as a partner of that motivation it's this subtle sense
of entitlement like yeah we've done it the expectation is that we're going to do it
again. And with that bravado, everybody feeds and gets fueled off of that. They look at it as
an arrogance. When we didn't get together in the offseason and get and pass and throw and do all
the different things, everyone's like, oh, they're high off the Super Bowl win. We came out
guns blazing, excited. We knew we were the target of everyone else, but we also never left or
never left the position of being a predator.
We weren't going to just be prey.
That's the Rams.
They're not just going to sit back and let everybody just target them.
They're still targeting other teams because, believe it or not,
we're not really talking about the Rams defending their championship.
We're talking about the Buffalo Bills.
We're talking about the Kansas City Chiefs.
We're talking about Aaron Rogers and the Green Bay Packers and can he get them back to where
they should be.
The Tampa Bay Park.
We're talking about everyone but the Rams.
who just came off a Super Bowl win.
And you've got a lot of those players on that roster who did get injured,
who really didn't have a full season to be a part of what was so special in the end.
Greg Jennings, Fox Sports.
Good seeing you, my man.
Likewise.
Take care, Colin.
All right.
All new lineup, by the way, on FS1, Craig Carton Show.
I got about 10 minutes of that yesterday.
Great new set.
He's all full of energy.
Skip Shannon.
Our show with JMAQ.
First things first now.
Wilds, Broussard, Nick Wright,
that got a cool-looking New York set,
then speak, Joy, Acho, after that.
So all new lineup, very exciting times.
Think about your happy place.

Do you remember when Diana Ross double-tap Little Kim's boobs at the VMAs?
Or when Kanye said that George Bush didn't like black people.
I know what you're thinking.
What the hell does George Bush got to do with Little Kim?
Well, you can find out on the Look Back at it podcast.
I'm Sam Jek.
And I'm Alex English.
Each episode, we pick it here, unpack what went down,
and try to make sense of how we survived it.
Including a recent episode with Mark Lamont Hill,
waxing all about crack in the 80s.
To be clear, 84 was big to me, not just because of crack.
I'm down to talk about crack on day, but just so you all know.
I mean, at this point, this is the second episode where we've discussed crack.
So I'm starting to see that there's a through line.
We also have AIDS on the table right now.
Thank you for finishing that sentence.
Yes.
I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Really?
Yeah.
For me, it's one of the most important years for black people in American history.
Listen to look back at it on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Welcome to my new podcast, Learn the Hardway with me, your host, and your favorite therapist,
Keer Games.
And in recognition of mental health awareness month, I'm bringing over a decade of my own experience in the mental health field
and conversations with so many incredible guests.
I'm talking, Tripp Fontaine, Ryan Clark.
Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing, we get so wrapped up in the chase that we don't realize that we
are in possession of the thing
and we're still chasing it
and we don't know when we've done enough
because people scoreboard watch. Life becomes
about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross
because you find it important to be a good
person while you hear on earth or are you a good person
because you're afraid? Because that's two different
intentions, bro. Absolutely.
And that's two different levels of trust.
I want you to just really be a good person.

JMAQ with the news.
No, no, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
For the first time since 2007,
this is a surprise,
no rookie quarterbacks
will start in week one of the NFL season.
Wow, that is, so you're talking 15 years there.
That's interesting.
Yeah, this season's, you know,
this year's,
wasn't one of the more star-studded ones. It was Kenny Pickett, who had a chance. He missed out.
According to Foxbet, the over-under for his first start of the season is set at three and a half games.
So, Colin, when do you think Kenny Pickett will take over as the Steelers starter?
Well, I think they're going to go on the road and there's going to be limitations to what Tribisky can do.
Not all of his fault. It's a very shaky O-line. And so you're going to be 0-1, and you're going to watch
Burrell looks so effortless, then I think they're going to give Tribisky another start because the
Steelers are not going to be impatient or rash. That's at home against New England.
Okay. And I think Trubisky, they may win it, but, you know, New England is Belichek will make
Trubisky work for everything. So then you go to week three. Week three at Cleveland and
Miles Garrett who can wreck the Pittsburgh offensive line. So that's the interesting one, because if you
lose at Cleveland, and even if you're one and two with you.
the win at home against New England,
you could certainly talk yourself into hosting Joe Flacko and the Jets
as a Kenny Pickett confidence booster.
Because you don't want to open him at Buffalo the following week against Josh Allen.
And you don't want to open him against the goat, Tom Brady.
So that Jets game, if you lose to Cleveland and Cincinnati, you're one and two,
and you have clear offensive limitations with their excellent
receivers. I could see them saying at home, it's the Jets, we're favored. Let's get him a shot.
Let's get him some snaps before going to Buffalo and then facing Brady. It would have to be
the over, right? That's the only bet here. I cannot envision a scenario outside of injury where he's
starting one of the first three games, right? Pittsburgh's not rash. In fact, they fault
on overly patient. There you go. Perfect. All right, next up Colin. Odell Beckham,
I'm still a free agent with the season kicking off tomorrow night.
He tweeted out, though, whoever wins Thursday, can't wait.
With devil crying and wink emojis.
I don't know what's going on with OBJ.
You know, what's that mean?
I don't know.
This led to some people on Twitter thinking he was hinting, as you can see here on the screen,
about joining the Bills or Rams.
Odell, a notorious frontrunner, wanted to go to two of the best teams.
When he was asked about it, he replied, don't hold me to it.
I only half mean it, and that he thinks both these teams could make it to the Super Bowl.
All right.
Sounds like a bored guy.
Just firing off emojis.
Well, I think they want to just sit and wait and see if Van Jefferson comes back.
And they have a couple of young receivers they're hoping grow into closer to starting roles.
So they got the one in their two.
And if Van Jefferson could play by week three, then I think they'd be more willing to move off OBJ.
But if it's one of those things where Van Jefferson's going to have a tender,
knee until Thanksgiving. I don't think
you move off OBJ. They still have 7.5 million
cap space. There's also some of the whole
like, look at me guys. Remember, I still exist.
I'm Odell Bekham. Of course. You know,
people like that. These guys are obsessed with
having people talk about them on social media.
And finally, Colin, we're going to go back
to Russell Westbrook and Patrick
Beverly and their contentious
relationship. For those
who missed it, here is Patrick
Beverly talking about his excitement
to playing with Russell Westbro.
Super excited.
I was asked this question, I think, a couple, two, three years ago about someone I always wanted to play with, and he was the first name.
Just a player with that, you know, competitive spirit, that fire, that wheel, that dog, you know, that NASCAR, that gnastonist, that grit, you know, to have a running mate like that, you know, I've never had that.
So I'm super excited.
I'm super excited to see where it goes.
Obviously, like any relationship or any marriage, you know, things, you know, we go out of tough conversations.
I mean, that's what comes to winning.
But I'm excited about those conversations.
I'm excited about the practice
and I'm just excited to be able to compete with someone like that.
Interesting body language.
Yeah.
You like the body language stuff.
I didn't think about it, but it is, you know, your body language.
They're a body language expert.
There are.
When he's talking, he's rocking.
He's rocking around.
Not looking to anybody in the eyes.
Not at all.
Well, it's weird.
So when Donovan Mitchell got traded to the calves, that shocked me.
Because I thought Knicks, Miami,
and then he went to Cleveland, a really interesting young nucleus of players in Cleveland.
And I was like, whoa.
So a lot of these, I was thinking about that.
And then the Kevin Durant stuff, we heard a million things, and in the end, he didn't go anywhere.
So a lot of times, I think they're moving Westbrook.
But if you go look, maybe I'm wrong on this.
If you go look back at the last five or six big trades, a lot of Kevin Durant to the Warriors came out of nowhere.
The reporters are always wrong.
Always.
So, you know, I think they're going to move Westbrook, but I don't think we know who the trade partner is yet.
It's a mystery team out there.
Well, a lot of us made of the Pacers who want to move miles.
Turner, who is about a 12-point-a-game front-court guy with Anthony Davis's injury history.
If he misses games, Turner is a good backup.
I like that.
That's the one that, and by the way, Westbrook, Pacers just want his contract done.
So I could see bringing in Miles Turner, if you look at AD's injury history, as a competent backup, 12-13-a-game guy.
And then at times, if you had a big lineup on the floor, they could play together.
That one is interesting.
The one I floated is the San Antonio Spurs.
By the way, they have the lowest win total in the league, which is still shocking to me.
And right now, like, there's nobody going to their games.
You can't name three guys on the roster.
It's that bad.
So would Popovich say, you know what?
I'm going to do Russell Westbrook a solid.
I feel bad that everybody's killing him.
Let's bring him in here.
We're not going to win a lot of games with or without him.
Let's at least have a bit of a draw.
And get a draft pick.
We're going to get a top draft pick.
In addition to the Lakers picks.
So I can see the Spurs as a potential landing spot for,
Russ. But wouldn't that mean that Lakers would have to inherit some bad spur contracts or some clunky?
Don't you think LeBron would do that in a heartbeat to get rid of Russ?
No, I think my takeaway is you got to give me something in return.
Like if you can give me Miles, I've got to get something back.
I'm giving you draft picks. It can't just be about getting Russ out of the building.
You got to give me, I got to get some capital back. I'm giving you draft picks.
And let's be honest about Westbrook. He is productive.
Yeah.
I mean, he gives you a lot of minutes and a lot of points.
You got to give me something beyond just, see, or us?
I got to get a player back.
So the Utah Jazz had been speculated, Boyan Bogdanovich.
I like, no, see, I like him.
Yeah.
He's a solid wing, three and D doesn't play a ton of D.
No, but he can shoot.
Remember, LeBron, I think, created the, somebody could check it,
second most open three-pointers in the league for teammates.
So Lakers had a lot of open threes.
Didn't have anybody could hit him.
So Beverly's not a terrible three-point shooter.
Not terrible.
LeBron's not.
Bogdanovich, absolutely.
I don't know what the salary match is.
But I would, if you, see, again, that's something.
Yeah.
You got to give me a shooter.
You got to give me a wing.
They don't have any wings.
Deficion on the wins.
Jay Mack with the news.
Well, that's the news.

Sometimes when we're in the pursuit of the thing, we get so wrapped up in the chase that we
don't realize that we are in possession of the thing.
and we're still chasing it
and we don't know when we've done enough
because people scoreboard watch.
Life becomes about wins and losses.
Steve Burns, Dustin Ross,
because you find it important to be a good person
while you hear on earth?
Are you a good person because you're afraid?
Because that's two different intentions, bro.
Absolutely.
And that's two different levels of trust.
I want you to just really be a good person.
Join me, Kear Gaines,

All right, we're going to play a game.
I think it's called Josh or Joshan.
We have a trivia game today.
Well, tomorrow the NFL season begins.
So the L.A. Rams at Sofi Stadium, you can bring that over here anytime you want.
L.A. Rams host the Buffalo Bills.
Bills are favored in the game, which is weird, because the bills have not been
a very good, what you would call, a very good close game team.
Bills last year were 0 and 6 in one score games.
The Rams were 7 and 1.
And by the way, Sean McVeigh has never lost an opener.
Offensive coaches are very, very good in NFL openers.
Andy Reed, Sean McVeigh, usually because they spend off season coming up with schemes and tricks.
The defensive guys like Belichick, even the legends, are not always good out of the shoot.
So here we go.
It's a game called, is it Josh or Josh?
And I have to guess random trivia about many people's favorite to win the MVP,
Buffalo Bill, great quarterback, Josh Allen.
If you crush this, Jeopardy may be in your future.
Josh or Joshan, Josh Allen has more touchdown passes than Tom Brady in the last two seasons.
True or false, Josh or Joshan.
I think that's Joshan.
Correct. Well done, cowards.
So Brady actually has...
Didn't Brady lead the league in touchdown passes last year?
83 touchdown passes.
Josh Allen, 73.
Okay, all right.
All right.
So one for one, not bad.
Next up, Josh Allen has more rushing TDs in his NFL career than Lamar Jackson.
I think that's Josh.
I think it's true.
Dang, dang, you're on fire.
Two for two, Josh Allen, 31 touchdowns rushing.
Lamar Jackson 21.
Now, Lamar missed most of that one season to start the quarter.
Think about that.
31 rushing touchdowns
as a quarterback.
We never talk about his injury risk, right?
We talk about Lamar all the time.
Well, he's six, six and jumps over, Pete.
He's built like a tank.
All right, next up, Josh Allen had a higher completion percentage
than Daniel Jones last year, true or false.
Okay, this is very much trick question territory.
I know this staff.
So they're trying to psychologically think that he didn't.
but I am a little concerned with my answer.
Josh, I think he did have a higher...
Oh, really? What was it?
You overthought it, Cal, you were right the first time.
Daniel Jones 64.3. Josh Allen, 63.3.
So Daniel Jones, a little more accurate.
I don't know how much that means.
All right, all right.
Nice one. All right. Let's get to next up.
Josh or Joshin.
Josh Allen has the most TDs of any player through their first four seasons.
All right, so none of the, yeah, take away the last, I mean, this is going to be.
You want a hint?
So I was going to say Herbert, but he's only played two.
Herbert had unbelievable numbers his first two.
Burrell hasn't played four full.
So you're eliminating a lot because in the new era of offense, it's going to be somebody in the last 10 years, right?
I mean, John Elway was great, but you just didn't throw the ball as much.
He's got the most total touchdowns of any player through their first four seats.
It's not going to be a running back, right?
Correct.
It's not a running back.
Okay.
I'll give you a hint.
It's going beyond 10 years back.
Well, then you're telling me it's Joshin.
Oh, I didn't give it away.
We said it's more than 10 years.
Oh, I did give it away.
Damn it.
Yes, correct.
Dan Marino 135 touchdowns.
And Dan didn't run a lot.
Second, yeah.
Dan Marino lightening it up like 48 touchdowns.
Oh, God, he was.
People, you know, I feel bad.
So, like, if you're 27 years old, you can go to YouTube.
Dan Marino had, first of all, he was huge.
He was like 6'5.
It felt like he's 2.30, which back then was like huge.
He had Aaron Rogers release, Elway's arm strength, and he was incredibly clever at the line of scrimmage.
He was very crafty.
Marino never won a Super Bowl, best quarterback 9th to win a Super Bowl, easily.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, best quarterback easily.
Is he and Kelly?
No.
No, Marina was better.
And Kelly was great, but Dan Marino was better.
I gave you that one, bricking.
I'm getting ribbed here in the studio.
Next up, Josh Allen listens to songs by Elvis as part of his pregame ritual.
He's a small town kid.
Did his dad, did his dad listen to Elvis maybe?
Because that's where you get the influence, your musical influence, when sometimes for kids.
I'm going to say Josh.
Bingo, yes, that is true.
I don't have any other information.
Josh Allen, through the most interceptions in the.
the AFC last season.
Josh or Josh?
Josh.
Their whole line's not great.
He had a couple of, he had a couple of rough Sundays.
He did.
Yeah, I mean, he had a cut, I mean, most interceptions in the AFC.
So let me think about this for a second.
Of the guys who throw picks.
And Mahomes didn't throw picks.
Lamar doesn't throw a lot of picks.
Let me think this.
Mack Jones didn't throw a lot of picks.
Zach Wilson was gone for a month, so he wouldn't have led.
Burrow throws a lot of picks.
Hold on.
So it's down to Burrow or Josh Allen.
I'm going to say Joshan.
Joshin.
He did not throw the most picks.
Correct.
Trevor Lawrence, 17.
Josh Allen, 15.
Okay.
Burl had, Burl was up there too.
Joe throws some picks.
Joe does.
I'm not anti-pick guy.
You got to let it go.
You got to let it rip.
Okay.
Next up, Josh Allen finished last season with a higher passer rating than your guy, Derek Carr.
That's it.
because Derek doesn't throw a lot of picks,
and Derek had an unbelievable stretch at the end.
Oh, passer rating.
Yeah.
How much does running around help your passer rating?
It doesn't do anything, right?
QBR's the one.
I'm going to say, I'm going to say Joshin.
Jeez, coward.
Yeah, Derek Carr 94, Josh Allen 92.
So close.
Boy, the staff.
Well, part of what makes Josh Allen and Lamar so dangerous
is they have a mobility component that is not only above average,
it's like trend setting.
Like nobody's as fast as Lamar,
nobody's as productive as Allen.
So it's like I don't need 104 passer rating at this point in his career.
Final question.
Josh Allen has his own bills themed cereal.
Oh, that's a Josh.
I guarantee you.
I'm surprised they didn't have nine car dealerships.
Very on brand for Josh Allen.
By the way, you a big cereal guy or no?
I used to be, not anymore.
I can't do milk.
Josh is Jack.
There it is.
Yeah, you strike me as a frosted flakes kind of guy.
That's what I was as a kid.
Apple Jacks, Frosted Flakes?
My mom did not let me drink soda.
Maybe we couldn't afford it.
I mean, that could have been.
We were milk and juice, but she let us have cruddy, you know, count chocula and frosted flakes.
Oh, yeah.
Special Saturday morning treat, right?
Oh, it was a Tuesday morning treat.
We weren't.
If you don't know your numbers, you don't know your business right now,
NetSuite by Oracle offering one-of-a-kind flexible financing programs.
go to net suite.com slash herd, HED, HED.
So I did not make an amendment.
Yeah.
For the first time ever, I make my NFL standings in the summer, and then I get two amendments.
I watch for injuries.
I watch for weird stories.
So, you know, like, for instance, the Trey Lance, Jimmy Garoppolo thing, you think I would drop the 49ers,
but I didn't have them in last place in their division.
That's Seattle.
They're tanking.
I didn't have them in first place.
I think the Rams are the best overall team.
So I thought about flipping.
Arizona from third in their division, because I picked them third in the NFC, San Francisco second.
In fact, I'm not even sure where I have them now.
That, to me, is a coin flip to the end.
I think Baltimore, Cincinnati battle it out until week 16, 17.
I'll take Cincinnati over Baltimore.
I think that goes either way.
I think Cincinnati's schedule is a tad harder than Baltimore, if I recall.
The end of their schedules.
It's brutal.
So that's a go either way.
I kind of feel San Francisco, Arizona.
I don't even remember the order.
That's a go either way to me.
I am fascinated by, I really think an interesting game that may not look like an interesting game on paper.
Is San Francisco at Chicago?
So, let's face it, a defensive head coach, Matt Eberfluse, going to throw a lot of looks and tricks at Tray Lance.
He's talented.
He has very few starts.
So there's going to be a lot of confusion for him.
I also think San Francisco will probably have a very conservative game plan for Tray Lance.
So the game's going to go fast.
It's going to be a lot of run of the football.
The game's going to shrink.
I think it's going to be very, very close.
Even though in college, it'd be a blowout.
The rosters would be a blowout.
But I think between San Francisco's conservative game plan
and Matt Eberflu's throwing the kitchen sink at Trey Lance,
I think that's a fascinating week one matchup,
and I can't wait to watch it.
So that will be, you know,
that'll give us kind of a sense of Trey Lance and how September goes.
Great stuff today.
I want to thank Greg Jep.
Jennings who stopped by.
Joel Klatte was amazing.
Peter Schrager.
We are ready to go.
