Starting point is 00:00:00 The volume. Welcome to Jenkins and Jones on the Volume Podcast Network. What's funny? What are you? Yeah, you had the motherfucker hair clip put a... Oh, I got the hair clip. That's our directors. That's our director's tablet or whatever.
Starting point is 00:00:33 It is Sunday, April 2nd. We're recording a night. Live show Sunday night. Just getting ready for the playoffs again. If you listen to a Sunday, thanks. If you listen to it, Monday, everywhere else, thanks for listening. as always Amazon AMP for the live episodes I think this week we're going on Sunday night
Starting point is 00:00:49 obviously right now and then Wednesday we'll probably do earlier in the day but we'll tweet that schedule out and then we got our this might be our last Saturday episode for a minute or at least our last interview one coming up this weekend with Pablo Torre so y'all definitely want to check that out
Starting point is 00:01:05 and then I think we get onto a playoff schedule which will yeah big playoff boys then you feel me playoff boys as always Jenkins and Jones hosted by Legetro Jenkins aka John Wasamp Bubbles. Dragonfly Jones, aka Tyler. Hey, everybody. Have a good.
Starting point is 00:01:20 I'm Garty B. A.k.a. Mike. Mother fucking Mike. Mother fucking Mike. Miquette. And let's start where we got to start, man. Let's talk about the women's basketball national championship today. LSU beating Iowa, Angel Reese.
Starting point is 00:01:38 Has there ever been a more accurate first name than Angel Reese? That angel. Big fan We'll never root against her My entire life I don't give a fuck What time it is dog Um
Starting point is 00:01:54 Historic season Set the NCAA record For double doubles this year NCAA champion The post game discourse Uh Let me just pose a question To y'all like this
Starting point is 00:02:04 I left this in the drafts On Twitter.com But the podcast is a safe speak If you use the word Classless Do you guys think you're a pussy Or a bitch because it has to be one of the other.
Starting point is 00:02:16 Can it be both? You're probably... You probably erase as high key. Like, I mean, that is turning into the new hard R and not the hard R that podcast motherfucker was talking about. When I see classes, I already know what angle you're coming from, dog. Especially when we're just talking fucking sports. And the people saying it, the fucking group...
Starting point is 00:02:34 Like, bro, we got fucking Dave Portnoy calling motherfuckers class list. Are you kidding me? Are you fucking... The motherfucker, the CEO of bar students... calling motherfuckers classless. Bro, motherfucker, you are a Trump fan boy. Yo, your motherfucking website or whatever the fuck is
Starting point is 00:02:51 y'all whole brand is fucking being, you know, the brash, you know, frat boy humor type shit. No safe space. It's here. No snowflakes here. And you call it motherfuckers classless. Like, bro, this shit is getting out of hand. You feel of me? Flat the fuck out. Man, what's funny? Before you hop on Tyler, me
Starting point is 00:03:07 and Mike said the same thing. When we see literally, word for word, what you just said. The exact same shit, bro. That's what we hear when you say class is hard are. I said it. I said it because they won't. You know what I mean? That's exactly what they want to call her.
Starting point is 00:03:21 You feel what I'm saying? But it's just wild to me, bro. Because y'all said and watched that same girl she did it to do the exact same shit to her opponents. The whole fucking time and we all loved it. We told y'all if the shit switch and angels doing that shit to her, y'all going to do exactly what the fuck you did. And they still do it. They are who we said they were.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Nica, you feel what I'm saying? Y'all doing the exact. And you can't even help. yourself, bro. It's just disgusting to see. And then people like Keith Oberman, you know what calling her a fucking idiot? For what? This is basketball, my nigga. Basketball. They hate her because she's winning and being black as fuck at the same time. That's what they hate that. They ain't doing it, but she's not doing it by their rules. And she don't give a fuck what they think, bro. It's a whole lot of fuck what you're talking about in Angel Reese. And they see that shit and they
Starting point is 00:04:09 despise it, bro. And I love her for that. Like I said, I will never root against her. I don't give a fuck what time it is because it's like she said it was this is bigger than just her and it's bigger than basketball how she moved and how she's acting afterwards i love to see it bro i love to see it good for her good for her she's this was what we call standing on business she stood on business that's what the fuck i'm talking about you feel me she gave it a dumb out to ring celebration stuff did that last year in the third quarter niggins they have a problem with it angel doing it being black as fuck you know what i'm saying did the same shit that she did to other opponents and now he got the issue we know what time it is We knew who you were already, bro.
Starting point is 00:04:45 Fuck y'all. We ain't here to no more, though. We big fans. You feel me? Fuck you mean. She says she got up in the press conference and said, I'm too hood. I'm too ghetto. Y'all told me that all year.
Starting point is 00:04:56 But when other people do it, y'all don't say nothing. So this is for the girls that look like me. Then she got on Twitter and tweeted in all caps, I love being a black queen. Fuck. Hey. Fuck what you're talking about Keith Holberman. You feel like, right. Keith old man.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Bigger. Somebody need to beat his ass too on the sneak, nigg. Come on. Black, these are your scheme ass that motherfucker real quick. Sneak his ass. Bro, you can't be out here doing that type of shit. Call her a fucking idiot. Bro, that shit, that shit had me hot. Anyway, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Sorry, my mom. But I was going to say, I love that she stood on it the way she didn't. I love that she gave us. I love that she gave us the details. And she said she's doing it for black girls who look just like her. Because here's the thing, I think so many times when shit like this happens, white people think the worst thing they can tell you is you let white people down. Right?
Starting point is 00:05:43 And fuck Angels was like, bro, I knew that y'all were going to lose y'all shit. We don't give a fuck about you. I didn't do this for y'all. I did this for black girls who look like me. That's who I did it for. White people really overestimate how much black people value their opinions. And this is like a shining example of that, though. Bro, on Twitter they're talking about, now you see why we move out.
Starting point is 00:06:03 Nika, thank you. Now you see why we move on your neighborhoods. Who the fuck? You got it all the way fucked up, okay? Like Tyler said Like Tyler M said Why would we be mad about good news Fuck you mean
Starting point is 00:06:16 We ain't trying to impress y'all Digger You feel me? Get the fuck out of here You kidding me I mean we all knew The race war was inevitable I did not think it was gonna start
Starting point is 00:06:29 Over NCAA women's basketball I didn't see that as the first shot fired Truth be told Truth be told this is a great fucking thing For women's college basketball A race war saved the NBA in the fucking 80s with magic and birds. A race war is a great thing
Starting point is 00:06:45 to happen to your sports league. And for one, you know, everyone's coming back just about next season. Like, you know, that fire is still going to be stoking. So this is great for, you know, for NCAA women's basketball. And it's great. And I love that Angel isn't letting it get to her.
Starting point is 00:07:00 And we need to, you know, cover Angel. We need to protect her. And we need to keep that shield, that guard up around it. Because I love how she's handling it so far. And I just hope that she doesn't let the bullshit get to her. She seems to have the, exact right perspective on it. I know John interviewed her for Buckets and said
Starting point is 00:07:15 she was just perfect, down to Earth, super kind of, you know, very appreciative of being interviewed and had a great time talking about, you know, exactly what you just said. Like she has the perspective. She grew up playing in Baltimore, you know, playing with, playing with male members of her families, playing with
Starting point is 00:07:31 her brothers. Like, so to her and by the way, I would add, because I do think that this is getting lost a little bit in the post game discourse, to Caitlin Clark too. Kailin Clark hasn't hopped on Twitter. talking about some, you know, oh, this is classless. Both of these women understand that their game, they are pushing their game forward into a place where shit talking competitiveness and stuff is part of it.
Starting point is 00:07:54 That's how they both grew up playing. Caitlin Clark, like John said, she's been doing this shit. And we loved it too. We loved it too. Bro, I love watch Caitlin. I love, but it's the bullshit that's attached her. That's the problem. Like what we've been seeing today.
Starting point is 00:08:08 But as far as Caitlin, bro, I'm glad. The dumb out you can't see me. me, motherfucking waving off. Oh, I love that. But when the rolls are reversed, you got to be willing to take that. That's what comes with talking shit. If you take her L, they on your head, you feel me? And that's what she was on. That's all Angel Reese was on. Hey, you can't do all that shit talking. I expect nothing to happen when you, no, we go, we don't get you. It's going to be some get back. And that's fine. And that's beautiful. And that's part of the sport and sports period. It's also part of the entertainment. And that is the most important
Starting point is 00:08:38 thing here. Ronnie Flores, who's a California high school basketball. guy very well respected in California. He made a great point today. He said, I've watched every women's basketball final four for the last 30 years. He said, there's a difference between watching it and being excited for it. There's a difference between inviting people over because you really don't know who's going to win the game and you're emotionally invested in this storyline on both sides of it. And he's right. He said, I've had men who have never talked about women's basketball texting me about Caitlin Clark or texting me about Angel Reese and LSU winning the national championship. What they're doing for women's basketball is enormous. And I think they said the final four got more
Starting point is 00:09:15 viewers than anything ESPN has put on of the NBA this season. This is a huge step forward for women's basketball. And I would say, too, look, we were talking about this with the men's tournament. The San Diego State buzzer beater in the final four, that's a legendary moment. That'll live forever. But by and large, you take the sweet 16 and up. Women's basketball tournament vastly outpaced the men's basketball tournament for me this year. Man, it was exciting games all the way around. Yeah, yeah. You know, the thing. about, you know, everyone talks about with men's college basketball, we all love the upsets. Okay, we love
Starting point is 00:09:45 those the first weekend. We love those, the first two rounds. We don't want to see the fucking 11 seeds in the final four and shit. You know, like, respectfully. Right, right. We love seeing the scrappy underdogs, you know, in the first couple rounds. The later rounds, we want to see the hard hitters,
Starting point is 00:10:01 the blue bloods and such. So, yeah, but you know, that's something that often works to women's benefit is that, you know, you're not getting anything lower than like a five seat at the lowest in the national championship or in the final four, right? You're going to get powerhouses, you know, in the final fours with the way that, you know, their brackets playoff. So that's a benefit for them for sure. But yeah, I've been watching much more of this ladies game. You know what I'm saying? Like, I am a
Starting point is 00:10:23 fan, bro. You know what I mean? What Caitlin was doing this in time, bro, Bekeh's talking to these shit about what she was doing. What's amazing? Never seen a player like that man or woman. And what she did with on the tour? We've never seen anything like that, period. Incredible. You know what I mean? She just wasn't on the right side to this. Go ahead. Go ahead. I was going to say she's got that there's no such thing as a bad shot from her green light. She's one of those rare players. Yeah. Every time it leaves her hands, if it's from 40 feet, you think it's cash.
Starting point is 00:10:50 Right. You know what I'm saying? Like she got that Steph Curry green light. You know what I'm saying, bro? Incredible what she did. But dog, man, like, I just hate that it's sullied with this bullshit. Because it was a great game too. Even when they was up like 19, no.
Starting point is 00:11:04 I remember I tweeted. I'm like, bro, they better be cool. Because, and it's not just, and it's not just Caitlin. That Iowa team is a... The big was a dog. They got some fucking shooters, and they played well off Caitlin, cutting to the basket.
Starting point is 00:11:17 You know, when you turn your back on them trying to spy Caitlin, they always cutting. They play some really good, smart basketball. Caitlin just didn't have the best game or whatever. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:11:25 But, dog, you know, and also LSU, I mean, just hoopers, bro. Hands moving at all times on defense. What Morris did, incredible, bro. So much fun to watch. So much fun to watch.
Starting point is 00:11:35 What Morris did was incredible. How she guarded Caitlin and they hit big shots on the end? You know what I mean? I mean, love to see that, bro. But y'all, it was great basketball, period. You know what I mean? I was watching, like, this is hoops.
Starting point is 00:11:46 This is the hoops we came for. Like you said, I want to see more. I want to see the dog's hoop. You know what I'm saying? I want to see. I want to see. It's cute of San Diego State, you know what I'm saying? But we ain't here for cute.
Starting point is 00:11:58 You know what I'm saying? So, like, yeah, I loved it, loved it, love it, love it. Great, great turn you on the woman's side for sure. I will say for San Diego State, that is well known as the party school in California, San Diego State. And I tweeted, I said, that, that is, you know, it's going to be visible from outer space. What's going on in San Diego? I don't, I don't be in a satellite like, it's cracking over there.
Starting point is 00:12:21 You feel what I'm saying? Right. I think Yukon's going to probably win comfortably on Monday. But that party, Shar's actually leading a student tour high school kids on Tuesday at San Diego State, probably right as the team gets back. Right. I said, every one of those kids is going to be trying to go to San Diego. Diego State next year, bro.
Starting point is 00:12:43 Yeah, congratulations to Angel, bro. Like you said, like you said, I interviewed her. She was great. She was so kind. You know what I'm saying? Like, thanked us for interviewing her. Like, bro, you, you do. Like, thank you for coming.
Starting point is 00:12:55 You know what I'm saying? Just so kind, so sweet. And I love to see her stand on business. You know what I'm saying? Like, bro, like just the way she move is beyond her age. You know what I mean? And there's going to be a lot of girls that appreciate her in the coming to future because they got it, they're going to have to deal with her.
Starting point is 00:13:09 She's just too good. It's going to be a lot of fuck what you're talking about in the next 10, 15 years. I mean, every black high school basketball player that the 5-6-2 follows on Instagram is like, I mean. She's the only person. This may as well be a national holiday to them. They're so excited for Angelsawre now, bro. I've interviewed hell of people, bro. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:13:29 Hell of people. And she's the only person, my little sister, Jazz people, you know what I said? I'm jealous. Bro, I was in front of Shaq. You know what I'm saying? Jamie Fox. You don't know what I'm going to fuck about none of that, bro. She said, I'm jealous when she saw me in front of Andrew Reeves.
Starting point is 00:13:43 You feel what I'm saying? All right. Let's talk about the NBA. I got a chance to watch Bucks Sixers and then the end of Nuggets Warriors. You could feel the playoffs right now. Is four games left for everybody? You could just feel it right now. The Bucks came out.
Starting point is 00:14:01 They knew they got dogged by the fucking Celtics. They needed to wrap the one seat up and they needed to do it emphatically with a statement win. and they fucking beat the shit out of the Sixers, bro. Janice was doing that extra two and a half second hang on the rim after he got news and dunk.
Starting point is 00:14:17 You could just feel it turning up right now, man. I'm so excited for the East once we get to the semifinals. Yeah, I mean, the bucks are still a team to beat. Like, you know, I think we've kind of been so focused on the fucking logjam in the West where fucking seatings change like four times a night that, you know, it's a two-team race.
Starting point is 00:14:38 in the east. It's the Bucks and it's the Celtics. I do not believe in the Sixers and being going to have to show me something. He's a phenomenal fucking player, but, you know, it's a different ballgame in the playoffs. So, you know, I'm going to need to see something from them. But yeah. I could see the Sixers. I can see the Sixers beating the Celtics.
Starting point is 00:14:54 I agree with you. I can't see him beating the Bucks. But I think that that Celtics Sixers series might be something special. I don't know. We'll see. It could be fun, but it also might be a gentleman's sweet. You know what I mean? Like, I don't see it.
Starting point is 00:15:07 I don't see it. I'll enjoy it, but I don't think it'll be as competitive, like the series as a whole as the games will. You know what I mean? Okay. There's a lot of dogs on the sales team, bro. And you know what I mean? I'm not going to sit here and say,
Starting point is 00:15:22 I just fully expect Doc Rivers to be super confident in the playoffs. But I'm excited for that series. I think that's going to be a fun series. The nuggets beat the nuggets without Yokic. Without Joker, yeah. looked a little statement-ish as well, to be honest with you, playing great defense. They're an interesting team because the analytics, when you look at them, especially the analytics around Yokic defensively, the numbers are, it's not good. But when you watch them play, the commitment as a team to defense is impressive.
Starting point is 00:15:54 You know what I mean? But I think they said, I think I was reading it's like, it's been however many decades since the team below 11th in team defense won the championship, they're like 16th or something like that. but watching the way they defended the Warriors tonight, the defending champions, I don't know, I can see what maybe it'll look like a little differently in the playoffs, but where are you guys on the Nuggets? We'll talk about the West as a whole,
Starting point is 00:16:17 but where are you on the one-seat nuggets and how you think they're doing? I know none of us think they're winning the championship, but what do you think of them going into the playoffs? I can see them going to the conference finals if things shake out in a favorable way for them once we see all that fucking bracket looks over there. But I don't think that they are ready to be a championship,
Starting point is 00:16:35 team just yet. I mean, I think that you know, I've talked before that there's only like, you know, five or six guys who can lead you to a championship. I do believe Yolk is possibly one of those guys. I do see the glow in him. I think he's that talent of a player. But I mean, him and MPJ on the same court at the same time, bro, like
Starting point is 00:16:53 those are two turnstiles in the fucking subway on the defensive end, right? And they're so important to that team. You need them out there. You need them to have, you know, a lot of minutes. But it's just, you know, the defensive concerns for them, it's a legit thing. man. Yeah, when your best players just food all the end. You know
Starting point is 00:17:10 what I'm saying? It's not ideal. You know what I mean? It's much going to need them out there. I feel the same way about the Nuggets as I do as the Sixers, man. It'll be fun to watch. I like the Nuggets. You know what I like? I like Joker. I think they're a good team. You know what I'm saying? I like NBJ. All of them, you feel me? You know what I mean? But I just don't feel like they're, like Tyler said,
Starting point is 00:17:28 not ready to win a chip. They don't look like a championship team to me. It looks like a really good regular season team. You look like the sons have looked the last couple of years. Right, right, right, right. stack you know what I mean um the Los Angeles Lakers it was a great night of basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers they are currently basketball against the Rockets last night they are well I'm not I'm actually not even talking about their game by the way shout out to Mero Jackson said Mero's in the in the chat what's up hey what up Mero hey man you really got me with that weak ass uh pregnancy
Starting point is 00:18:00 shit you posted bro come on man real niggas don't feel real niggas like that dog that I was like, let's go. Celebrate, man. Come on, man. Anyway, go ahead. Merrill and I are going to spend the next two months texting each other videos of our son's baseball highlights. That's just what it's like, I know we're supposed to be locked in on basketball playoffs.
Starting point is 00:18:20 It might not be happening. The Lakers, as things shook out tonight, are currently, first of all, they're six and one in the last seven. They are currently the seven seed. They are a half game out of fifth with a game coming against the Clippers who are currently in fifth place. The Clippers are 11.5 back of first in fifth. The Warriors are 11 and a half back in six.
Starting point is 00:18:43 The Lakers are half game back of both those teams in seventh right now. Looking at the schedule, it is very possible that the Lakers end up. Yeah, they play the jazz twice. The jazz are very excited for their chances to draft Victor Wampiominyama at this point. Sit everybody. They play the sons and they play the Clippers. That's the Lakers last four. How many of those games?
Starting point is 00:19:08 Two against the Jazz, one against the Clippers, on the second night of a back-to-back, and one against the Sons. How many of those games do you think the Lakers win? And what number do you think they end up in these weird-ass Western Conference standings? I can see them winning three out of those four. I think they can go on that type of run.
Starting point is 00:19:24 Is a four-five Lakers warriors? Is that numerically possible here? Do we know? Like, it's so much math in this shit, man. No, the sons are two and a half. half game. The Sons are in fourth and are two and a half games clear of the Clippers in fifth and the Warriors in sixth. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. So they're good there. Um, well, shit. I don't know. They're going to take that Sun's game mighty serious because that might be the fucking four or five
Starting point is 00:19:48 matchup and shit shakes out. So right. Sheesh. That'll be wild. A K.D. Braun series in the first round. Are you fucking kidding me? That's insane. That's going to make me feel really old for some reason. Like that shouldn't happen. You know what I mean? I know how I was shaking out. It's been weird. But that we shouldn't see them, you know, that early. But yeah, man, I don't know, man. I mean, I'm confident. I don't know about that son's game. I don't know about that son's game.
Starting point is 00:20:13 Katie's back. You know, we might, you know, might not be ready yet. I think we'll be ready in the playoffs, man. I think we could beat out of seven. But one game, I don't know. The clippers, we should be able to, I think we could knock them clippers off, man. But isn't it a weird situation where you're like you'd rather be in sixth or seventh? Like, you'd rather, would you rather play the kings and the grizzlies than
Starting point is 00:20:33 the like I don't I don't want to play the sons I might rather play the Nuggets than the Suns if I would I like I would rather play the Grizzlies and the Kings I know either the Grizzers are second but I don't know like that Kings team bro ah I don't know the exact but they have the exact same thing as as the Nuggets they don't defend who you're talking about you're talking about the Kings yeah I don't I don't know that guard play bro they good bro you know what I'm giving up 118.3 points per game right now that is number Number three in the Western Conference. And the Grids have the difference of player the year.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Yeah. I don't know. The Kings will screen you to fucking death. And this is a team that I feel like throws in the towel, the Lakers on the defensive end. And when you go up against, when you're a team that gets lazy on defense, you go up against a team that will screen you to death. And he's going to score 130 points maybe in game one.
Starting point is 00:21:24 Yeah. And I think they got upset rid and all. Like, I think, I don't know. I think they, I think they'll, they could do some shit in the playoffs because I think they're so young. They don't know. You know what I mean? I don't think the pressure will affect the Kings as much we think that.
Starting point is 00:21:36 I was thinking about it a lot. I don't really think that's going to happen, bro. I think they're going to play. Go out there and play and have fun, and that's a scary team as good as they are, too. It's not a lot of fun in the play. I mean, look, I love this Kings team. I just want to be clear about that.
Starting point is 00:21:49 Love this King's team. That's actually probably other than the outside of the Lakers and the Bucks. That's the team. That's my league pass team this year. I've watched more Kings than most of these other teams. One of the funest teams in the league, for sure. For sure. But I don't know that I agree with you that that,
Starting point is 00:22:03 that style travels into the playoffs well with a young inexperienced team. You know what I mean? Like their crowds are going to be crazy, but that's a team that could go, that could get cold and it could get ugly for it because they don't defend. You know what I mean? So I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:22:18 I'm excited. 26. Yeesh. Yeah, yeah. So it's going to be off the two offense is going against each other. And I think they got to, you know, we'll see. We'll see.
Starting point is 00:22:28 We'll see. But all I'll say is this, because I know it's, we're talking about some teams. we don't normally talk about and I know it's probably some fans that they're like, fuck these dudes talking about the king. And I get it.
Starting point is 00:22:38 You're right. Love these teams. I totally understand what you're saying, but there is, like, there's certain trends that I believe in because of how frequently they've been repeated statistically
Starting point is 00:22:49 and how bad defending teams do in the playoffs is a really good indicator of what happens in that transition from regular season to the post season because there's no bad teams. You're not just going out there and outscoring the Rockets and the Jazz. I know,
Starting point is 00:23:02 the Lakers obviously get a nice win over the rockets, but like that's not what the playoffs look like. It's repetitive. And it's a like the value of an Anthony Davis, if he's healthy, sky rockets in the playoffs when a cerebral defender with high physical ability sees you three, four, five, six, seven games in a row.
Starting point is 00:23:21 You know what I mean? So that's where I'm, I don't know, but they're going to be fun as fuck. And the West is going to be fun as fuck. And as you said, the standings flip flop all the fucking time. It does look like we're starting to see
Starting point is 00:23:32 who the top. 10 will be the Mavs could still get into the you know into that top 10 but if you look at from five through 10 there's three games separating these teams with four games left it's fucking it's real nasty down there man it's real nasty dog oh oh shit okay i'm like it this king's team the more i've been watching them though so i don't know we'll see we'll see we'll see there's a real energy behind him and I do think there's a special thing that happens in basketball that does not happen in most sports when a fan base meets a team's energy and the synergy right now between the Kings on you know on the court and the Kings fans in the arena is so much fucking fun it's hot
Starting point is 00:24:19 it's going to play to be hostile but these fans can't play the games so I know I completely understand that you know what I mean but I mean shit we're all we're all old enough to remember when Arco Arena was the toughest fucking place to play of the league. You know, Sacramento's always had insane fans. Can I just say I've covered a number of games at Arco Arena and that is the shittiest professional sports menu that I've
Starting point is 00:24:44 ever been in. I cannot believe that after Game 7, 2002, those fans suffered the worst fucking loss of their lives as King's fans and Shaq said that he mooned them motherfuckers when the bus pulled off. Like, how would you feel you come the worst fucking sporting experience of your life
Starting point is 00:25:01 and you see Shaq's big bare ass just riding that Granted It takes you Up against the window Pushed up against the window too
Starting point is 00:25:09 Just As so big It takes 20 seconds To get by you Right You know Steam on the windows From the heat of his ass
Starting point is 00:25:17 Bro Nasty work dog All right Can we talk about Let's have some Let's do some Legacy talk Chief Seaholic
Starting point is 00:25:26 Where does he belong Is he on the Mount Rushmore of American criminals? No. I'm leery about this guy. I ain't going to lie to you. I feel like there's going to be some tweets or something that's going to pop up and be like, yeah, fuck this guy. That's how I really feel about it. I embrace myself for the disappointment with this dude.
Starting point is 00:25:45 I am investing in the story because it's a wild-ass fucking story for the people who don't know. Like, you know, he was a cheese fan who was going on road games and robbing banks in those cities to finance his road games and shit. So I am interested in this story. But like I said, I'm leery, bro. like motherfucker who's the dude the goddamn tiger dude the motherfucker
Starting point is 00:26:04 y'all know what I'm talking about the tiger dude and Carol Baskins and shit man Oh oh Tiger King Jackson Young Brain
Starting point is 00:26:12 No what's his name What's his name No no hold on We know Tiger King Tiger King Tiger King We don't need to know his actual name
Starting point is 00:26:20 We know who he is Remember how we all Remember how we all loved his Joe exotic Gordon Jackson That's a Joe I'm sorry, you're right, Mike. We needed to remember that name.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Did y'all just both Google dude? Oh, okay, fucking Jackson. Jackson. Jackson. I thought y'all Googled a dude from Tiger King. No, no, no. Dude from Tiger King. Do you remember how we were all in love with his crazy antics until we found out he was like a raging racist?
Starting point is 00:26:48 Like, it's the same type of feel. I got out this cheapaholics, dude, bro. Kansas City, too. Kansas City. You know, but let me fill the story out. bank robber who would as you said go on the road oh okay what's a bank on the way to that game I'm gonna just stop in real quick like it's a Chevron you know what I mean for 20 thousand dollars you feel me let me cash out I'm right back he was using
Starting point is 00:27:14 that money to fund being a super fan so he was paying like the big tickets to go to the players charity event so he's got pictures with patma homes Travis Kelsey all these dudes Like he was really out there as a Chiefs fan He eventually gets arrested People were like Initially the way this came out was people were worried That he'd been in a car accident Because they were like oh we knew Chiefsaholic was on the road too
Starting point is 00:27:40 I think it was a Texans game Texans or Colts or something He never checked in like what happened Like I hope he's okay Where's Chief Seholic Where's Chief Seholic? He was really a chiefaholic bro This is some Support my drug habit as shit right here
Starting point is 00:27:56 had a huge future on the chiefs to win the Super Bowl this year. They won the Super Bowl and he used that money to bail himself out. No way. Really? Yes. And then he cut off his ankle monitor and is now on the run, bro. I'm going to tell you, bro. That's a professional criminal.
Starting point is 00:28:17 That's a professional. If you're going to be a criminal, don't mean us this tic-tack ass petty shit. He ain't on no petty shit. nigga robbing banks running from the feds nigger you know cutting off ankle monitors i want a 10 at least eight episode netflix doc on this man bro you know what i mean and there's some there's some fucked up tweets some fucked up tweets in there put them in there too put them in there too but you know what i'm saying i want to know everything i can about him bro i just like i hope he doesn't fuck it up and hurt anybody i tweeted this you know i don't want them to do anything bro keep keep it like
Starting point is 00:28:53 keep it like this. There's going to be a lot of podcast segments getting deleted if he heard somebody, bro. Yeah, for sure, for sure. It's because everyone is. But, you know, like, but if you think about it, if this shit happened in 1926, we would all think it was hilarious, right? It would just be the most like, oh, he did what? It's even more amazing now. Like Tyler said, happening now, you're like, oh.
Starting point is 00:29:17 But it's, but it's, we don't know what's going to happen on the Twitter. He might pull up some old tweets. Twitter matters. So much, dog. Oh, they milk shake ducked Chief Seaholic. Hey, look, they're coming for Hasbulla. Nobody is safe, dog.
Starting point is 00:29:31 If they're coming for that, too, they have called that man a cat abusing fascist. Like, the agenda is strong. Hey, they're trying to get Asbel out of here for pitching his cats here, bro. Come on, that cat is the size of a tiger to Hasmala, bro. He's not just beating up on a cat, though. Come on, don't, don't.
Starting point is 00:29:49 We ain't got to take up for Hasboolah, bro. He'll be a-a-e, you know. They don't care about that where he's from, bro. You know, we got to live here, you know. What do we talk about? We're talking about, oh, Chief Seaholic. Yeah, anyway, Tyler's right, but I don't know. I'm a Chiefsaholic, I'm rooting for you.
Starting point is 00:30:08 You got to get to Mexico. And then did you see the Kelsey brothers are trying to get them on their podcast? Yeah, I saw that. They said they'll fly wherever and they'll keep it anonymous. Can they do that? I know, I know it won't happen. but legally could they keep it anonymous like that?
Starting point is 00:30:27 I mean, there's going to be a number of... And he seems like a chiefaholic enough motherfucker to try to make it happen. He'd at least think about it. If he heard them say that, I feel like law enforcement would have to get involved of your interview that, dude. That's how I feel.
Starting point is 00:30:40 They would try to trace his IEP address or some bullshit like that or something and try to find a dude. I don't know. I don't see how it can happen, but logistic... I'm saying, okay, yeah, that makes sense. That makes sense. But it is an interesting thing.
Starting point is 00:30:51 Like, say he ends. up in a country with no extradition. Well, people could go visit him and interview him. Didn't that happen with Edward Snowden? He was doing interviews. He just couldn't come back to the career. What are you going to do? Yeah, like he can't come back,
Starting point is 00:31:03 but they can't charge you for talking to a citizen of this other country, right? I don't know. That's not the field of journalism. I mean, I don't talk to dudes who are like you really want to make this happen. I get it, bro. I do too. I mean, I don't listen. Go ahead and do it, man.
Starting point is 00:31:19 I don't listen to a lot of podcasts, but if they have a, if, If the Kelsey brothers have an interview with Chiefsaholic, I will tune in live for that shit at any time of day. I think that's the exact type of podcast that I listen to. Right. I'll be heard they're not on the volume. I'll be heard they're not. That's a volume type of, you know, pro players talking to people who are interesting, bro, you know? You feel me?
Starting point is 00:31:44 That's a Saturday. That's a Saturday episode, man. You know what I mean? For us, Chiefsaholic are friends. Okay. Let's talk about I want to talk about the content of the video first And then we can talk about the format of it
Starting point is 00:31:58 And how weird that is But a video circulated this week of a woman Claiming to Have sex with her man's Not once, not twice, not three times But six times a day And I was so happy And maybe it's just because I'm in
Starting point is 00:32:18 Almost 40s slash 40s Twitter but I was so happy that the universal response of everyone that I saw was this sounds like hell there was nothing of feeling at all of that shit to me and and you know like we were talking in the group chat bro we talked about married with children I was like I remember being a kid watching married with children and you know the running gag was you know Al Bundy bust his ass he worked so hard selling shoes and then he has to come home to a wife with the unrelateless sex drive And that is a hell that you do not want to be in. I remember being a kid thinking, bro, Al is tripping.
Starting point is 00:32:54 I'd be wearing peggy ass out. But I grew up. And I understood. I completely understood. You can keep the pussy after some of them long-ass things I work, dog. I promise you you can. That is yours. Not my.
Starting point is 00:33:07 That is your responsibility. Okay. Six times in a day. Ain't no way in hell. Damn. Ain't no way at hell. Dude, tears. Tears, bro.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Crying. emotional do I have to do I have to please don't make me I just want to go to whole foods I can't go grab some eggs without nothing first bro leave me alone that is craziness I can't believe she out in the dead did that shit we realized what it was after you know like so that okay so that's what I want to bring up because this ends up being to me almost as interesting is just making fun of the weird engagement clip right like she put it up there for engagement but this is um so first of all this clip was presented on instagram and ticot as though she was a guest
Starting point is 00:33:57 on a podcast she was not on a podcast she was just filming herself talking into a microphone and looking off to the side like she was answering someone's questions and apparently this is an increasingly common like viral engagement trick so she's an only fans actress and she is one of like I said, this growing number of people, specifically in like the Gen Z generation that is filming themselves on a fake podcast and then putting out clips to get engagement. Like, on one level, this makes sense to me. I can follow each step that has happened since the internet was founded to where this makes sense.
Starting point is 00:34:36 And on another level, I take a step back and it feels like a very clear sign of the apocalypse. Mike. Everything is a sign of the Apoclema's to you. You did the same thing last week with the Ghost Kitchen. I'll guarantee there was something before that. What was it? What was it last week? The Ghost Kitchen, the Ghost Kitchen.
Starting point is 00:34:56 Oh, yeah. The Ghost Kitchen is definitely a sign of the Apocalypse. But we did order Mendocino Farms. There was, there's a, somebody sent me this in and he's a, he's a fine, offended a pod. So hit us up if you hear this. But he said that there was somebody that couldn't afford. to start their own restaurant
Starting point is 00:35:15 that started a ghost kitchen. And then they got popping from the ghost kitchen and then now they're able to build out. And so that's a different approach to the ghost kitchen where people that don't have access or can't get entry into it
Starting point is 00:35:30 because of the cost up front. You know what I mean? It's starting a whole restaurant can start a ghost kitchen, build there and then... I mean, there's positive this coming from it. I actually did a lot of research into the ghost kitchen in Long Beach that the Mendoes is in.
Starting point is 00:35:46 He's gross, bro. It just is gross to me. Like, because they're gross as far as the concept. They're literally gross. Like, that's nasty. No,
Starting point is 00:35:53 like the concept. Like they had pictures because they're trying to get more people to leave spots. But there's, I think it's 18 restaurants in this spot in Long Beach. And it's like, when you look at what the people rent and then you look at the building that they're in,
Starting point is 00:36:05 it's like, I mean, I understand that there's like a factory thing to all restaurants to some extent. and like I've, you know, I've been behind the gate or whatever in restaurants. I know what it looks like back there. But this is like, they're all packed into this building where it's like you have your station
Starting point is 00:36:22 and there's no window. There's no customers. There's no, you know what I mean? Like you're just in there. Did you do some investigative journalism? No, but I did get some photos of the inside.
Starting point is 00:36:33 And then like I said, they have some, um, they have some like ads up of like what your workstations would look like and stuff. And it's, I absolutely like it's a, maybe it's a, good way for some entrepreneurs, like you said, to sort of like start a lower overhead thing.
Starting point is 00:36:45 It feels dystopic. Barry. I mean, y'all saw the pictures I sent you with the shipping crate shit, but it was, it was like that, but kind of worse because they didn't even have their own doors. You know what I mean? Wow. All right. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:36:57 You know what it feels like to me? Yes. It feels a little bit like what John's example is a little bit like when people get their medical bills paid on GoFundMe. It's like, this is one example of a good thing that happened, but this is a, the fact of this has to happen is a huge problem. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But I'm glad people got ways to, you know, people going to find ways to get, get their way in, you know what I mean? So I'm, I'm, I'm glad for homie to hustle the system, you know what I mean? And it does, I will say one thing that
Starting point is 00:37:27 does bother me quite a bit, but it's become very popular to do on Twitter is when, like, someone does something nice for a human being and then, like, a news company writes about it. And then everyone quotes it and, like, this is a sign. capitalism is wrong or whatever. It's like, okay, yeah. But could we also like appreciate that the human being is taking care of the other human being? Like, are you so, are we supposed to not take care of each other until the system is fixed?
Starting point is 00:37:53 Are we supposed to not appreciate people taking care of other people and only right about how bad the system is? Like, I just don't understand what the, it just feels like a trendy thing to say right now and I don't actually understand what people think that that means. I don't know. Healthcare system is bad. That's the headline. Like, yes.
Starting point is 00:38:10 It's still bad. It's terrible for me right now personally. But if someone paid my bills, I would want them to get some shine. I don't know. Hint, hint, no, I'm just kidding. Hey, man. No, I'm kidding. Hit the group chat, my boy.
Starting point is 00:38:26 You're here. No, we're good. All right. Last thing, we went family ran a 5K this morning. We went out and got some breakfast afterwards. Vinnie and I both ordered a little combo. We got our bacon crispy. we asked for crispy bacon.
Starting point is 00:38:41 And it occurred to me, every time I've ever been at breakfast with someone that asked for bacon, they've asked for crispy bacon. Why are we calling it crispy bacon? Why do we not just make that the default bacon? And if you don't want your bacon crispy, you have to order soft bacon or some shit.
Starting point is 00:38:59 You see, I'm really a soft bacon dude, but crispy bacon on breakfast sandwiches, that works. Important, important. I would not eat just a straight up crispy strip, though. Really? I would not raw dog a crispy strip of bacon.
Starting point is 00:39:18 I actually, Jesus. Yeah, yeah, I mean, that's that, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, it feels like a process. But like, though, like, but, um, soft bacon on burgers. Oh, you know what I mean? Crispy bacon on eggs. Oh, yeah. You want, you want, you want, you want that, you want that, you saw you, when you went to Wendy's, it got the, it got the dollar, was it a dollar?
Starting point is 00:39:39 09, the double bacon cheeseburger? 99th, junior bacon cheeseburger. They had the double one too for I think 10 more cents. That's why I, you know, anyway. But yeah, so, but I got the, it was, you want to your shit crispy? It was always crispy at Wendy's.
Starting point is 00:39:55 Actually, Wendy's is the other place I make this argument because when they added vanilla frosties, I was irrationally upset about it because I'd say, give me a medium frosty and they'd say, do you want a vanilla frosty or a chocolate frosty? It's like the frosty is chocolate. Like you've added another flavor.
Starting point is 00:40:13 The option is vanilla. But the, right. If I say I want a frosty, I want the chocolate frosty. Can I be honest with y'all, bro? I do not like chocolate ice cream like that. Chocolate ice cream does not be slapping like that, bro. I feel I can take it a leave of myself. I'm not crazy about it.
Starting point is 00:40:28 It's not a big. Honestly, when we had the neapolitish shit, bro, chocolate was in the house. Chocolate was the one that was at the end, bro. It wasn't strawberry. It wasn't strawberry. I feel like strawberry was chocolate, nigger. I feel like strawberry was always the Tito Jackson of it.
Starting point is 00:40:42 For sure, for sure, for sure. I feel you. But in our house, bro, that chocolate just wasn't getting that type of love. We did not fuck with it, bro. It was not. Maybe it's genetic. I don't know. Can taste be passed down through jeans and we don't like,
Starting point is 00:40:54 the whole family doesn't like chocolate ice cream like that? But very seldomly do I fuck with chocolate ice cream, bro. You know, they say, like, if you want to judge a restaurant, you go order the most simple dish there. Like, you'll find out what an Italian place is really about if you get, like, spaghetti, bolognais. balls or whatever. Chocolate ice cream is like that for ice cream for me.
Starting point is 00:41:13 Like if you're talking about some like right aid ice cream or thrifty ice cream, whatever, like no, I would never eat plain chocolate ice cream. But Hagenas chocolate ice cream that's got a real high cream content. That's a different. And I didn't have that as a kid either. That's why I definitely. We were in food lion brand. You're eating the shit out of the white, but the white two-gallon junk for sure.
Starting point is 00:41:34 And it's basically just like ice crystals with a little suggestion of chocolate. Yep. That chocolate was a lie, niggas. We left that for the end. It was that, it was like that, that big ass plastic jug, bro. You feel me?
Starting point is 00:41:49 With the handle that bit through five layers of your skin the moment you picked it up. The sharpest plastic on Earth. And it was cold too. Shee. All right. That's all the time we got for Jenkins and Jones.
Starting point is 00:42:04 We'll be back on Wednesday morning. We'll let you all know on Twitter when that live record is going to happen. but as always, if you're not following us for the live records on AMP, you can tap in on all the other platforms. Jackson, we have anything in the chat to answer or shout out.
Starting point is 00:42:18 I forgot to ask people for questions. I'm going to give you 30 seconds if you haven't asked us a question in the chat. I'm in a filibuster for 30 seconds and someone can lob a question at Jackson. Do we have anything right now, Jackson? No questions, but just people agreeing about
Starting point is 00:42:36 Angel Reese, Pablo Torre, Hint, hint, potential future J&J and friends, I guess, apparently tweeted, my theory of sports and shit talking is pretty simple. Games are always better
Starting point is 00:42:46 when an ego is at stake, which I think is a great take. Brilliant man saying something brilliant. You know what I mean? Fucking Pablo. Yeah, that Pablo Tori interview on Saturday, everyone definitely check out.
Starting point is 00:42:56 Yeah, for so, for so. All right. All right. There's no questions. If there's no questions from the class, we're going to dismiss. Mike, sign off, dog.
Starting point is 00:43:03 Damn. Bye. Bye. See all on Wednesday. Bye. There's no clusters from the crash. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Ah
Starting point is 00:43:13 Ha ha ha ha
