Hey, everybody, have a good.
Starting point is 00:01:47 I'm Garty V. A.k.a. Mike. Mother fucking Mike. Mother fucking Mike. John had to have those breakfast fries. I feel you live it like a fucking Londoner out here, huh? Having some chips. I'm going to listen to a lot of Dave and Stormsy, nigga.
Starting point is 00:02:03 I'm from the mood of London. Oh, you're fucking with Dave now? Dave. That psycho drama album was, bro. Like, like Twitter. Yeah, yeah. Twitter hit me to that because like right around the time More Life dropped and, you know, Drake had a bunch of
Starting point is 00:02:16 Brits on this shit, everyone was clowning. And people were like, bro, I enjoy a good, you know, bloke and fish and chips joke as well, but you got to listen to this Dave kid. And they told me to peep cycle drama, and that album blew me to fuck away. And the kid was only like 19 when he made it. You know, bro, he got some shit, dog. And Storms, he got some shit that feel like gospel. Like, nigga, I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:02:34 Are they real puckie? Look at all pucky. Look at all Christmas gifts. How pucky are that? Was that Gibbs? Was that Gyms? Was that Gyms? Yeah, I think. Jibbs or Jibbs?
Starting point is 00:02:44 Gives were to be that. He blew his moment though. He blew his moment. Look at all turkey. But yeah, Dave go hard, bro. I laughed alone until I cried the first time I heard the Look at all Christmas gift for him.
Starting point is 00:02:56 Look at all turkey. I'm like, nigga, bro. Ain't all really love them breasts. Briss. Bro, you got a Drake. You got a Drake feature and nobody told you that shit was weak, bro. Yeah. You know all the checks and all the checks you had to go?
Starting point is 00:03:12 through in order to, you know, get that shit through. Bro. Come on, man. Those Brits who fucking Drake threw on more life, they're the only ones ever who, like, the Drake stimulus package didn't work on. Like, that shit worked on the Migos with Masachi. It worked with little baby.
Starting point is 00:03:26 You know what I'm saying? Like, it worked with motherfucking, you know, all types of people. Like, you get that Drake feature. You know you out of here, but that shit did not take off with any of them. Bro, but the UK got some shit now. Little Sims album was crazy.
Starting point is 00:03:37 Dave crazy. Like I said, Stormsy. Was it Central Sea? I thought the nigger was white person. It's a white nigger saying a nigga, but no, he got some nigger in him. I did the research. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:03:48 You got his 23 of me back? I got his 23 of me. I had to run it real quick, see what time it was. But no, they got some shit. And what was interesting about that, too, is the UK, the whole diaspora's there. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:04:00 Like, in a totally different way. Yeah, Caribbean, African. A lot. Nigel might be an ended-ass nigger in a second. You know what I'm saying? We'll see. We'll see. We'll see.
Starting point is 00:04:08 John's getting puckier by the moment, by the minute. I admit it. Hey, man. Before we start the show, you guys have heard us talk about the GameTime app. That's the fastest growing ticketing app in the U.S. If you're looking to get out to any NBA, NHL games and NFL playoff games this week or even a concert, Game Time has amazing last minute deals on tickets to all of those.
Starting point is 00:04:31 I will be going to a game this Friday to see the Lakers and the Grizzlies. We're going to see LeBron James and John Morant. Thanks to the Game Time app. and if you've followed me on Instagram you saw, I'm taking my son to his first ever NBA game. We took him to the Summer League. He was losing his mind about that. He was so jacked up about getting to go to NBA games.
Starting point is 00:04:52 So thank you to Game Time for making it easy for us to do that. And having cheap deals for last minute tickets, definitely go check them out. I was surprised, you know, I haven't looked at some of the other apps. We've been wanting to take him for a long time. But if you are a Lakers fan, you know, these are not the Indiana Pacers, my friend.
Starting point is 00:05:10 They're giving out more than $20 for half-course shots. So the tickets are expensive, whether they're shitty or not. They ain't broke boys, nigger. They ain't the brokies. Did you see like there was like a couple of other people that did the same thing and gave out 10K? The Kings gave out 10K, bro. The King, you tell me the Kings are 25 times less cheap than the Pacers. But no matter where you live, you can get out and have some fun this week.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Download the GameTime app. Enter your email and redeem code J&J for $20 off your first purchased. Terms apply. Again, create an account with the GameTime app and enter code J&J. That's J-A-N-D-J for $20 off. Download game time today, last minute tickets, lowest price, guaranteed. All right. I actually, I'm very excited about going to the game. But he's just like counting down the minutes. It's going to be awesome. Want to see John Morant dislocated shoulder to fucking dunk on a nigga, bro? Yeah, let's start there. I mean, that's what that was a, that was one of those dunks that stopped time. and all of the freeze frames of him cocking it back to waist level behind his back
Starting point is 00:06:13 or it just defies imagination. Bro, Jai, like, Iverson said he saw a lot of himself in Jai. And I was like, I can kind of see what you're saying, but, you know, AI was not the athlete Jai is. You know, no shots. But he is, it's like, there's like four on a planet. Right, right. It's like, but Jai is, Jai, I do see the fearlessness in AI, you know, you know, in Jai that, was an AI. So this motherfucker is like, is as fearless as AI with like the athleticism of
Starting point is 00:06:42 Russ. You know what I'm saying? And the same fucking guy. So yeah, that is the dunk of the year that we just saw for sure. I mean, it might be the dunker to like, like the last, what, two, three years. You know what I'm saying? Like, is there been a, and the what's crazy is he owed us this. And he owed this to himself as well. Bro, he's probably going to have the best reel of almost dunks ever of any NBA player. He has the best misses ever, bro. And like, I've been hurt by some of the misses we've seen. I know he has. So finally he has one where he, bro,
Starting point is 00:07:14 like he should have the best, the dunk in the year the last three years. You know what I'm saying? Like, you know what I mean? Like, it's just crazy. But it's just insane, like, to see, like, how explosive he is and the way he approaches the rim. It's like, bro, like, it's like he's a seven-footer. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:07:31 He comes at you like he's the bigger guy. The man probably weighs a buck 80. You know what I mean? coming at these bigs like they are food. It's wild. But it's just, it's so disrespectful. It's so disrespectful. This locates his shoulder.
Starting point is 00:07:46 You see his shoulder protruding out. It's cocked out. I physically can't do that on my feet, let alone in midair. You know what I'm saying? My body just don't move in that way. And it just booms in the nastiest way, bro. Jodd just different. He's just a different dude.
Starting point is 00:08:02 But I'm glad he has, he finished one of them fucking insane. you know, dunks that we've seen or attempts we've seen over the last few years. I do need all of the Los Angeles Lakers to remain healthy. So you can see somebody get beat up
Starting point is 00:08:19 dunked on? Well, just so like, you know, I mean, like you take your kid to a game all of a sudden and I mean, it was, you know, game time's money, but it's still, you know, I'm like, the money was paid.
Starting point is 00:08:30 You know what I mean? So I'm really not trying to have Vinny be a school next week. Like, yeah, yeah, yeah. we went to the Lakers game. No, no, no, not the one where Braun played. Oh, man. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:08:43 I'd be sick. I'm going to be stressed as fuck. They got two games between now and Friday. I'm going to be stressed as fuck. So everyone stay healthy, please. Begging you. As long as Brian does and Jod does, you'll be Gucci. And they say, they say, AD, ramping up, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:08:58 Like I said, I love a good ramp up. I love a good ramp up. You know, I mean, I love a good ramp up. So, you know, you feel me? So, yeah. How long would it take you to? ramp up to bending your cocking your arm that far behind your body i don't know bro like i got to do some band exercises and shit i got to warm up my shit right here already stiff just doing this bro with nothing
Starting point is 00:09:17 dog i got my left shoulder will dislocate if i if i triangle back bro you ever try to reach back in the car seat while you driving and your whole fucking the whole fucking side of your body will like go into like paralysis or some shit like no these motherfuckers are not human dog being old is crazy though because that ain't happened when I was young that happened when you get older bro when your whole shit like you reach back to get some out of the car and you feel it the next day like nigga did I hurt myself from you know what I'm trying to grab this smart water out of the backseat nigga like the fuck crazy yeah I'm on the DL for two weeks for handing a pen to Maya in the backseat.
Starting point is 00:10:04 Damn, gee. Crazy. This motherfucker eye-level with the rim punching all fucking literal giants, digger. You know what's weird? What's weird is? I knew he was athletic.
Starting point is 00:10:15 And I know there's that NBA workout, jump in athleticism. But like, Jaws athleticism seemed like it. You know what I mean? It, it spiked in a way. I didn't even see this potential athleticism.
Starting point is 00:10:30 You know what I'm saying? When he was playing in college, I knew he was a dog, but like, he seems more athletic than the aliens he plays with now than he did when he played in college. You know what I'm saying? Like, you feel me like, like in comparison, like in comparison to college, he was an athlete, right? And you knew that. But he seems like the comparison with the most athletic people in the world, it's even higher now. But don't they say if you're really getting the most out of your body, your body peaks at like 27, 28, right?
Starting point is 00:11:02 Right, physical peak, yeah, yeah. And so, I mean, that's what's crazy is. You see these dudes come into the league in their early 20s and they're crazy athletes, but yeah, like, I mean, I know Braun, he was so good at 1819. It was like you didn't feel like there was a decade of improvement in him, but there was, you know, physically. So me, it's more like, like, okay, when I looked at Bronn,
Starting point is 00:11:23 like when he went to the league, he didn't distance himself more from his peers in the league and athleticism more than it was in high school. he was he was I would say we came closer even though it wasn't close what's weird with Jai is like he looked like an athlete
Starting point is 00:11:40 in college right but it seems like he's even more athletic than people who are more athletic you know what I'm saying in an NBA which is like he distanced himself distanced himself further than his you know
Starting point is 00:11:53 than his peers in the NBA or from his peers in NBA which is wild does that make yeah it totally makes sense because you know coming into the league, I thought that, you know, the kid was going to be great.
Starting point is 00:12:04 I did not expect him to be in the conversation for most athletic point guard we've ever seen. Like, it's him Rose and Russ. Like, that's the discussion. Like, I did not expect him to be, you know, on that fucking pantheon of shit. So not even close. And in the, and in college, when I saw, uh, Westbrook play, I was like, we saw that athleticism. We saw that he would be a top athlete in the NBA. When I saw Rose, bro, I saw him, it was, I think it was UT versus Memphis.
Starting point is 00:12:31 he caught one off the rim at the halftime. I ain't never seen a point guard do what a nigga just did. Cull it off through two hands in. Yeah, like he's going to try to take the fucking rim off. I'm like, oh, point guard's doing this shit? God damn, nigga, like, this shit's scary. You feel me? So we saw that, but we didn't see that in job.
Starting point is 00:12:47 And now, so it's just, it's interesting to see, like, the leap he's made. Athletism is, like, I don't know if I've seen that from a player, that big of a leap from a player, especially from the point guard position. Yeah. And something so unique about Jai is he is trying to end
Starting point is 00:13:05 motherfuckers one-handed all the time. Like Derek Rose, his trademark was the two-handed Tomahawk, right? Like he fucked Doran Drogic up that one time. You know what I mean? Like that was his whole shit. Jai is coming in one-handed, you know, reaching all the way back to motherfucking Nashville with his shit,
Starting point is 00:13:23 you know, trying to end the motherfucker. There's a beauty in that, man. He pausing there, sing some country music in bow your motherfucking ass Boots scooting boogie boom on your motherfucking ass I'm gonna talk
Starting point is 00:13:42 some NFL playoffs but before we do I have to just say that last weekend the last week of the regular season two weekends ago I had the distinct privileges I know John did although it wasn't watching football
Starting point is 00:13:53 of getting a care package of grilled meat smoked meat from Tyler and boy you fuck up by not being friends with Tyler in person. There you are. We just letting y'all know that. Sorry, guys,
Starting point is 00:14:06 you know what I mean? It was, I felt it was disrespectful. You let that, that meat see another day, bro. That meat ain't supposed to see Monday, nigga.
Starting point is 00:14:15 I told Tyler is on my, I plan a week around my box of meat from Tyler, bro. I go, I go by 30 Hawaiian sweet rolls from the store. And we had, Sharr and I had the jerk chicken for dinner one night. I had two days of eating the pork shoulder and watching football on the Hawaiian sweet roll, which is the best.
Starting point is 00:14:37 And then I had an afternoon I was at home by myself, I have the sausages. So it's just, you know, you got to spread it out though, bro. I can't just go crazy. I smack them. They came in Saturday. Gone Sunday, nigga. They ain't seen no weekday, nigga. They ain't seen no weekday.
Starting point is 00:14:53 You feel me? By the time, when we hopped off the shit, I smacked them. You know what I'm saying? Right. Sunday night. Out here. Out of here, bro. Fuck you mean.
Starting point is 00:15:03 Gone. I ate for a week. And I know, you know, I know Tyler appreciates both methods. Hey, what's the gift
Starting point is 00:15:10 is given? Enjoy it however you sew shoes. You know, that's how the shit work. Nigger. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:15:16 you feel? me? Lamb-knit. Motherfucking lamb. Thanks to wife to give me all the okay on that. Because, you know,
Starting point is 00:15:23 like I told you, she don't like me cooking that shit for no one. She's like, this is my thing. I appreciate her. You told her we said
Starting point is 00:15:29 thank you. I genuinely mean that. Yeah, yeah. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Yeah. So basically, you know, to all the listeners, like, this is some shit that I started doing New Year's 2021 because, like, you know, 2020 quarantine was going on.
Starting point is 00:15:41 And I was always a dude who I would just throw some shit on the grill, you know, hit the homies up, tell him come through or, you know, I'd be like, bro, I'll do some shit on the grill. Where you at, I'm going to come bring you a plate, you know, let's put one in the air, whatever the fuck. And I miss that shit. So, mother fucking much during quarantine, right? So at the start of 2021, I was like, bro, I'm going to cook some shit up for the
Starting point is 00:15:58 homies. I'm gonna go drop this motherfucking plates off and shit. And, you know, of course, I had to, you know, overnight some shit to the homies over there. You know, I didn't Cali, my brothers and shit. So, yeah, so this year I did, you know, pork shoulder is always the motherfucking. That's the foundation of the shit. You know, I bought like a motherfucking eight-pound pork shoulder that. God damn, I slow smoked for like six hours.
Starting point is 00:16:17 You know what I'm saying? My dick is so hard. Jesus. I got 51 weeks to go to the next meat delivery. Right, right. Right. Right. So this year I threw in pork shoulder, pork tenderloin, sausages, you know, hot Italian sausages that I get from my butcher. I did the grilled chicken skews that I told you I was my new shit, you know, that I just tried.
Starting point is 00:16:40 I fucked with the jerk chicken, bro. And I've never fucked with the jerk chicken that was not from, like, Jamaican. No, right, right, right, right. I told you, I did that shit because I got a bottle from my favorite Jamaica spot in the city. Jamaica House for all my Richmond folks listening. They sell their shit. out the bottle. So I was like, okay, well, let me goddamn, you know, do what I can do with that. This was no Trader Joe's jet to find shit, you know, some real legit, you know,
Starting point is 00:17:04 eerie tings vibes on that one. So it wasn't some, yeah, my Jamaican sauce. Right, right. From Trader Joe's nigger. So it was pork shoulder, pork Tandalloy, you know, jerk chicken skewers, sausage and lamb chops. And yeah, man. So I'm glad y'all enjoy. Like I said, y'all know cook is my love language. That's how I spread love with the homies. So I always love to spread love with y'all with that shit, man. I eat your shit like It's like the sides are just meat
Starting point is 00:17:29 Like You know what I mean The main course is what thing The side is meat And the second side is meat Yeah I'm I mean look look bro When you overnight and shit We are not wasting
Starting point is 00:17:38 You know grams and ounces and pounds On like fucking asparagus You know what I'm saying Oh no no doubt No doubt Yeah it's gonna be straight up meat Me to that motherfucker
Starting point is 00:17:47 When I'm saying When I'm saying when I prepare my shit When I'm for me to eat at the crib I just eat the meat Like it's a like it's a like This one meat to It's just meat, meat, meat, nigga And I'm smacking it up
Starting point is 00:17:58 The Hawaiian sweet rolls for you So that you could just try it I'm telling you It's like I haven't been a sweet A perfect combination Of Tyler and Southern California Is what it is
Starting point is 00:18:11 It's perfect I need I used to Bro I used to smack the sweet The sweet rolls I haven't really fucked with them Since like 28 28 But I thought you know I need to Yeah I need to tap back in
Starting point is 00:18:21 That's the thing about pork bro Pork bro the best fucking meat that you can smoke. It takes smoke better than any other meat. The pork soda that I make, you know, like I make a rub that's basically half brown sugar, half salt, you know,
Starting point is 00:18:36 then like a bunch of other seasons, like onion powder, garlic salt, you know, a little cayenne pepper, you know, some ground black pepper, a whole bunch of other shit to get that. You want that whole combination of spicy, salty, and sweet with that shit, right? So I know that some Hawaiian rose probably set that motherfucker off too. But yeah, yeah, that's why
Starting point is 00:18:52 I feel sorry for people who don't eat pork because I'm like, bro. Like I can understand you not eating like a McRib, but you're not wanting to eat a motherfucking, you know, dry rudd, brown sugar, salt, fucking pork shoulder that's been slow smoking for six hours. I do not want to live in that world with you, dog,
Starting point is 00:19:08 at all. Nah. I can understand you not wanting to eat a sausage McBuffin. You know what I'm saying? But yeah, you're missing out like a motherfucker Adam. Adam. We got a message from Adam and Jackson skipped out on us today. So Adam Garcia is our only producer on call. I do
Starting point is 00:19:23 always feel like whenever Jackson's not on the show, even though I think Jackson and Adam are both younger than us, I always feel like dad's out of town. You know what I mean? Like, we're just hanging out with Adam now. Jackson is the most responsible 25 year old I've ever met in my fucking life. Jackson is definitely, well, dad energy crazy. I just cannot believe how responsible he is. But I mean, as much the accomplished as this young age, you know, it makes sense. But it was nice, like the three of us were talking to Adam for five minutes before the podcast. And at no point, dad, I'm saying, all right, let's do the pod. No, he did.
Starting point is 00:19:58 But it wasn't, it wasn't 10 minutes in. It was 20 minutes in, you know what I mean? Right, right. There we go. Yeah, Jackson gave us 20 and Adam gave us 30. You know what I mean? So there we go. Adams are cool, dad.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Yeah. Adam's weekends and holidays, dad. All right. Well, I did not have, unfortunately, for this playoff weekend in NFL football, I did not have a box of smoked meat from Tyler, but spiritually I did because it was a good weekend of football. Tyler, it had to be the Chargers, bro. They're up 27 to 0.
Starting point is 00:20:35 I turned the game off. I went to go cover an NCAA volleyball match. A couple people started texting me, two-score game, a couple people started texting me, and then all of a sudden it was just the Chargers, and they gave up a 27-0 lead, in which the winning quarterback through four interceptions in the first half. I don't fucking sunshine
Starting point is 00:20:56 was out there stinking it up I just don't understand what it is with the charges it's like bro they've been this team for like the last 20 years or so like they're the team that like we saw you know
Starting point is 00:21:12 the Philip Rivers Ledainian Thomason you know fucking um charges and it was like bro they have Phil Rivers Ladani and Tomlinson and Antonio Gates together for like an era and got shit out of it. Right, right.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Winning like 12 games every year and we all knew that they weren't going to do shit with, you know, in the postseason, right? Like, it's just, I don't know. I don't know what to make of the charges because it's like, you know, we've seen, you know, some media pundits going in on Herbert. And Herbert ain't the problem, bro.
Starting point is 00:21:43 Herbert is a motherfuckerballer. And just like Philip Rivers wasn't the problem with the charges. Philip Rivers was a fucking baller. It's just, they just got some bad fucking jukees. you or whatever. They got that Atlanta Falcons Dallas Cowboys stench on it where you know you already
Starting point is 00:21:58 know you're never out of it no matter how big you go down with them. Yeah. I don't know. Yeah, they need to sacrifice somebody. You know what the nickname for the Chargers owner was because he's kind of a like tyrant sort of a dude? His nickname in the organization was the Lord of No Rings. That's hard, bro.
Starting point is 00:22:21 That is. That is the most you think you're serious, but you are so Unserious-ass nickname. That would sting me to my core if I was that dude, bro. The Lord of no rings. God, facts. Let's see, the Niners blew out the C-Might. I'm a big Niners fan.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Niners blew out the Seahawks. Brock Purdy rookie looks unbelievable. The bills thought about losing to the dolphins, but ended up not losing to them. The Bengals last night beat the Ravens on a 98-yard fumble return for a touchdown, which is the fucking stupidest. shit of all times. Did you see that clip?
Starting point is 00:22:55 I know you were flying home. They were trying to quarterback sneak and the dude punched it out. They're trying to quarterback sneak it for a touchdown. They tried to like reach over the top shit and a dude from the Bengals punched it out and it fell right to one of their delimmy. He ran 98 yards for the game when he touched him.
Starting point is 00:23:10 Un fucking believable. How are you letting the Bengals make you the Bengals? You know what I mean? Like that's the shit that happens to the Bengals. You know what I'm saying? But hey, it's some real shit. shit going on with the motherfucking Ravens
Starting point is 00:23:24 and Lamar, bro. Like, we saw the tweet out there that that did not sound to me like it was in Lamar's voice. You know, it was him, you know, just explaining the injury and, bro, I'm not going. And then we saw, you know, coach Harbo saying, well, that's news to me.
Starting point is 00:23:40 Like, you're probably getting, you know, you can connect the dots that, you know, the Ravens wanted him to go. And Lamar's like, hell, no, I'm not going. And I don't know. I don't think, I would be surprised if the Ravens, if he's, if Lamar Jackson's Raven next season. I really will be. Oh, I don't think so. Yeah, at this point. I mean, it's just, you know, and the NFL former players, it's the most yes-ser, no-sure group of
Starting point is 00:24:03 athletes out there, like maybe even more so than baseball since baseball is such an individualized sport. But all the TV commentators saying Lamar should suck it up and go out there and play hurt and stuff. Like, I'm with Lamar. Like, y'all told me I'm not the franchise quarterback. Y'all ain't cash me out of that. So, y'all are you all the fucking. Y'all are you all out on the line. And as, as someone, you know, who was a Washington fan in a former life who saw what they did to fucking RG3. No. Protect your mentors, protect your chickens like a great philosopher once said.
Starting point is 00:24:32 Big facts. Absolutely. All right, the Giants also beat the Vikings, which was hilarious. But I know Tyler and I need to, before we move off the NFL, talk about this Cowboys Bucks game tonight. Tom Brady's never lost to the Cowboys in his career. He's 8-0, which I think is the best record that a player has against a team career. Mike McCarthy says he's confident.
Starting point is 00:24:54 He said they've had a great week of practice, Tyler. What do you think? The Cowboys are just, I'm just ready for the shenanigans. And I feel like we all know that this game is going to in a very hysterical way. I feel like that is the Cowboys way. So, yeah, I'll be tuning in. I'll be tuning in for the same reason. You know, you kind of like, you know, tune in to see some fuck shit go down.
Starting point is 00:25:18 So, yeah, I'm interested in this one for reasons where I'm just want to. to laugh at the Cowboys. And we're either going to laugh at the Cowboys or we're going to be like, bro, Tom Brady, you do your whole family way for this. It's like a win-win for us. You and I are having a great time Monday night. Yeah, whatever happens you and I are winning. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:35 I mean, I'm either hitting my motherfucking homies and my family in the text who are cowboy fans are clown. I'm hopping on Twitter and clown and Tom Brady for throwing his whole family way for this. So either way, it's a win. We call that a win-win. If we're going to talk about a lose-lose, John? They did your boy so dirty with Tatum's first shoes. And I have to say, I really, I mean, you obviously have got the city connection.
Starting point is 00:25:59 And I know you feel deeply for him as a human being, which I don't have that connection with it. But I genuinely felt so bad for him when I saw that shoe design. What was your thought? I mean, obviously they're fucking trash. And I hate that because, like, dude, it doesn't have to be this way. I don't know how. There's been one shoe that Jordan has made outside. of the numbers
Starting point is 00:26:23 that has been dope. One, and it was that first jump man. The first joint. I feel like you can see the silhouette from the first jump man in those a bit, but they really fucked it up, though. Bro, somebody said... The trunners were tough, too.
Starting point is 00:26:37 Do you remember the trunners? The trunners, yes, they were. They were, with a little strap on them. Yes, they were tough, too. And you can say the ones that kind of looked like the 12s. People were fucking with them. I wasn't a fan, but people was fucking with them.
Starting point is 00:26:47 So, maybe like, but that's maybe three shoes. And I think that the first jump man's came out when I was in eighth grade. They came out. They came out. Summer 96. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:55 Summer 96 they came out. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? Like that, the red was in the blue ones. And I was like, oh, those are, bro. Three shoes in almost 30 years that we think are decent shoes. Like, that's fucking disgusting, dog. And you have the future of the league. Not just Tatum.
Starting point is 00:27:13 You got Tatum, Zion, and fucking Luca sign of Jordan. All of their shoes weak. All of them, bro. All of them. What the fuck is you doing over there? bro. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's wild. But somebody said, why do I feel like this shoe was smiling at me? They said he had the joker smirk on it, bro. And I cried because it does look like it. It is a hideous, hideous shoe. There's nothing creative, interesting about it. It's just bad. And it's
Starting point is 00:27:48 wild to see. Like, dog, like, I think he'd have to give it the okay. But maybe this is the best of the obviously he probably got because Jordan just doesn't design good shoes. And it shouldn't be this way. It doesn't have to be this way. It's so wild to see, bro. You know, it's, it's, I like Josh shoe. It's a nice shoe. It's a fit him. Right. He'll get a little more sauce to it. You know what I'm saying? It reminds you of a Kobe Dodo. That's the, that's the look, though, right? You know, it's a nice shoe. It's a nice shoe. You know what I mean? And they're like, why the fuck can't you figure it out? Jordan ain't figured it out with one motherfucker.
Starting point is 00:28:23 Look at Westbrook shit. The why not? Them shits are a fucking mess. Literally. I would say, a bunch of different shoes together. It's horrible. I don't know shit about sneakers or who designs them or whatever.
Starting point is 00:28:34 But I would say to me, just looking at them as a novice or whatever, like all of the Jordan, like everything that you've been referencing, they all look like they were designed by someone in the 90s trying to design. something in the future. Right, right. Like how we'll see, like, I think demolition men was supposed to be probably around this time. Right. And what they thought the future look like and it don't look shit like the future.
Starting point is 00:29:01 You know what I'm saying? Like it looks like dated. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The jaws look like a 2023, like a Gen Z shoe designed by a Gen Z designer. Like that's what they look like to me. The Tatum's look like my friend in 1996. Jordan's 15. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:29:19 What some of the 96 thought what 2023 would look like. Right. Right. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, but the Jordan, the one through 14s, that's the best run we've ever seen in sneaker history. Ever, ever.
Starting point is 00:29:30 Period. Like, I think that that run was like 13 for 14. I think the twos are the only missing. A lot of people love the twos. I just can't get into them. But every other. They got some low top tools and they've made them look better. They look good on Jordan.
Starting point is 00:29:41 But yeah, I can see. They were am missed for a long time. People just got, like, really started fucking with him for real. over the last, I guess, like, five, six years, you know what I mean? Right. And, Mike, and going back to what you said about how, how it looks like they're trying to draw into the future and they're fumbling, Tinker Hatfield, who was just, you know, the, the fucking designer. Like, he pulled inspiration from everywhere.
Starting point is 00:30:01 Like, the Jordan Fives, he said, he looked at World War II fighter planes for inspiration there. Yeah. The motherfucking tens, you know, that was the first full sneaker that Jordan wore after coming back from retirement. He modeled those after a lawnmower, a non-mechanical lawnmower with the, blades and shit. Wasn't the 14 of Ferrari or something like that too? Yeah, the 14s were designed after Ferraris. The 13s were the black cats.
Starting point is 00:30:26 If you look at the soul, it looks like a cat's paw. It had the hologram on the ankle that looked like a cat's eye. So yeah, like, you know, he found inspiration from everywhere. And that fucking run that he went on was just phenomenal. But, but yeah, these shoes, they just, bro, I looked at those motherfucking taiters. I was like, I feel like these are shoes for like big guys, you know, for like 300 pound dudes who need to wear like size 16 triple E's or whatever, right?
Starting point is 00:30:49 Yo, yo, what was that brandon niggas was fucking with? The big dogs. Like, big dog. Big dog. That's the nigga of big dog t-shirt. You know what I'm saying? Don't jump off the porch ass, nigga. They're going to put them on. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:31:06 And it's just, it's just wild. Like, Tinker was a god, right? You know what I mean? And he made the best shoe. But he didn't design the Kobe's, which I think it's like, I thought the pennies might have been second, but after Kobe did run, he had it towards the end of his career, I think he's second.
Starting point is 00:31:21 You know, I don't even if he designed the pennies. You know what I'm saying? Who designed the jobs? Kyrie and KD. have dope shit. You know what I'm saying? They have dope, niggins. Those KD.
Starting point is 00:31:30 Sixes were crazy. Niggas was wearing KD. Sixes like they was motherfucking, like they was, you know, everybody had a pair of them. Everybody. I swear every fucking kid on the planet had a pair of KD6s back in like 2013, you feel me?
Starting point is 00:31:42 I, I bought a pair of KD6s. I was wearing a motherfuckers with everything. with jeans. You know what I'm saying? Like, so it's like, dog, we see, we see,
Starting point is 00:31:49 but Jordan, for whatever reason, everything's beefy too. It's beefy. It's beefy. How do you make a low top sneaker beefy? Beefy as fuck. You even do that.
Starting point is 00:31:59 You're defying, you know what I'm like? Bro, and also all designers take, you know what I'm saying? Inspiration from all types of things. There's a, Jordan designers just ain't got it,
Starting point is 00:32:08 bro. It just ain't it. It doesn't have to be this way. It doesn't have to be this way. But it is. And I, It makes me wonder that Jordan logo doesn't look good outside of, you know, like, can't it look good outside of a shoe that Jordan had on his foot? I have, you know, it's just hard.
Starting point is 00:32:25 I'm wondering, is it like, it's Under Armour's logo, they figured a way to make that shit look dope. And Jordan hasn't figured a way to? What, the place would have to be weird? It's, it don't. I just, bro, it's just so sad to see because it don't got to be like this, nigga. You fucking Jordan, you can get the best of the best in the world. And you don't. And you don't.
Starting point is 00:32:44 You don't. I think he might be sabotaging just to keep his legacy. I've seen people tweet that. He's sabotaging his own brand though. His own brand, dog. I don't know, man. Like his own brand? When the last time you've seen somebody
Starting point is 00:32:58 in a pair of Jordan basketball shorts? Niggas don't wear Jordan at all because Jordan don't come out with cool shit. They still make it the same shorts that they was making it when niggas was playing and won and shit. You know what I mean? The only shorts that made you could put a whole sandwich into the pocket. Right.
Starting point is 00:33:14 A 12 inch. The McDouble flew out of some Jordan shorts for sure, bro. That nigga has some joint shorts on, hooping shoes, no socks, nigga. Musty as fuck. McDouble like a motherfucker.
Starting point is 00:33:31 Slid across the motherfucking shit. Spin move. Smash McDuffles and leaps. That motherfucker probably came out like the sham guy, nigga like, ugh. Got him.

Starting point is 00:35:18 I am the stereotypical white guy who thinks that Martin Luther King Jr. is the greatest American that ever lived. I agree to. I genuinely read his speeches, not just on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but I think he was maybe the best writer we've had in the country. Certainly the best speaker. And it brings me no joy to bring up on Martin Luther King Jr. day. And it brings up on Martin Luther King Jr., Luther King Jr. Day, the statue that was unveiled in, it was in Boston, was it not? Of course it was in so much. That explains so much. The statue is called the embrace.
Starting point is 00:35:55 It is meant to represent the moment that he was released from the Birmingham, Alabama jail. I hugged his wife, Corretta. It is from one angle only a sculpture of his arms embracing her arms and that moment that they shared that none of us could ever really put our heads into exactly what's going through his mind at that moment. Unfortunately, the statue cannot only be viewed from one angle. It can be viewed from many angles.
Starting point is 00:36:22 And none of the other angles make it look like an embrace of that kind. And I would love your opinions on what else the statue could look like. Well, let's talk about what the internet said, you know, said it looked like a nigga eating ass Freddie Gibbs said that somebody else has said stated that it looks like you know was it jerking off
Starting point is 00:36:51 you know what I mean so those are the things that the world is seeing people other than the artist is seeing on a huge scale the shit is like a fucking well how big is it
Starting point is 00:37:06 it's enormous it's so big so so so so big but yeah I mean so we'll start there. So Tyler, continue. I just want to give some context to those who may not have been on the internet. I think we cannot ignore the factor that Boston
Starting point is 00:37:22 plays into this here. I think that given their reputation, given their history. Do you all remember the Abraham Lincoln statue in Boston? The emancipator, whatever the fuck? Where, okay, Google that shit. It was a statue of Abraham Lincoln with like an
Starting point is 00:37:38 enslaved man groveling under him and shit. And it was supposed to be, you know, oh, Abraham Lincoln, you know, great guy, freed the slaves. And it was just borderline racist as fuck. And this fucking, you know, I don't, I don't know how you can do abstract. Oh, this is, yeah, you see that shit? It's terrible. It's horrible.
Starting point is 00:37:56 It looks like the slave is shining his shoes. Right, right. But yeah, it's, it's, I don't know. I don't think you can go for abstract concept art or something like that, bro. They selling, they selling images of it on, for $2.99 on eBay, if anybody wants to buy a poster on the shit. Hell no. I think they took that shit down, too.
Starting point is 00:38:17 Fuck this shit. They did, they did take it down. On Google it says it's permanently closed. If his statue is closed, that means it's not there anymore. I need to go to some motherfucker Richmond statute to see if they're closed permanently. You closed a lot of statues in Richmond lately. And for good reason. For you all.
Starting point is 00:38:38 I would say this. As someone who's been involved, and pranks in my life. If an artist were given the challenge by his artist's friend to come up with a statue that most closely looked like someone eating ass but was
Starting point is 00:38:54 not a crime, but was not a crime. That's the statue they would have built, correct? Y'all think MLK was out here eating ass? I know he was wild and that's what the report is saying. I know that that nigger.
Starting point is 00:39:11 That was definitely. Wilder. We was talking a little bit off camera about the shit. I'm not going to get to what we got into. But hey, man, yeah. I don't know, man. He mighter. He mighter. He might. He might. He might. He might. So maybe that's the artist. He wanted to show all
Starting point is 00:39:26 size him okay. You know what I mean? The, the, you know, all size? You said all size? Sides and sizes. All size. He's a, you know, he could change multitudes. You feel me? So maybe that was it
Starting point is 00:39:43 I don't know man I mean It's wild that we see a statue Of like you said The greatest American Has lived You know what I'm saying We all would agree upon that
Starting point is 00:39:54 And American man who live That's live And think of like As eating It's just He deserves better And Tate him deserve better Than his shoes too
Starting point is 00:40:04 I don't think any of us Have the sanitized view Of the whitewash view of MLK That you know White American He was out here slung in that thing. Yeah, man, he should have.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Like, one of my favorite stories about MLK is when John Lewis got out of jail for, you know, protesting. First thing MLK said to him when he went up talking, said, little nigger, where you been? I was like, bro, he's just like us. You know what I'm saying? He just like us.
Starting point is 00:40:30 But he was MLK, like that's the right, exactly. Right, right, right, right, right. He was Martin Luther King when he gave speeches, you know what I'm saying? He was about K, okay, when he was. He was with the homies, you feel up saying? So, Mason. Yeah, and I mean, the thing that's so annoying about the whitewashed version, not just of his
Starting point is 00:40:49 personal life, but of his actual legacy, what he was actually talking about is, like, it gets rid of all of the interesting stuff. Yeah, he was a radical, bro. He was, he was a radical. Like, I mean, people who want to whitewash him, just go read his letter from Birmingham jail where he was calling out white moderates, where he was like, you know, the biggest hindrance to social justice in this country is the white moderate who who is more devoted to order than justice like go read on read up on that shit mokay was a radical bro he wrote a whole
Starting point is 00:41:20 diatribe from jail against the in this house we believe signs that would not exist for 60 years after he passed away bro like until after he was killed like you know what i mean like he's writing like that's the thing that's crazy when i whether you're in the 90s and we were growing up reading this stuff or you read it now he's writing about people you know from 60 years ago he's writing about people you know that that's fucking you know you know lincoln is a great speechwriter great or whatever with his fucking goofy ass voice but i never listen to anything lincoln said the second inaugural the man like uh you know gettysburg whatever he's not talking about anyone i know he's talking about history m lk he's talking about today from 60 years ago
Starting point is 00:42:03 that's what's so crazy about it that's why i don't understand the yeah you know the the whitewash Right, right. It's just fucking absurd. People have whitewashed and distort the MLK to make him be the, oh, we all just need to hold hands and all get along together. That was not MOK. MOK was like, bro, if you are not riding with us on getting evil white motherfuckers out of here, you are worthless.
Starting point is 00:42:24 That was the shit MOK was on. You know what? And he was talking to white people particularly about that. Do you think a man that has to go up against what he's going, what he has to go up against? You know what I'm saying? Living in the way he's living would exist in that way? You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:42:39 be like, let's just hold, no, nigger, he was actually, you know, he was, he was fighting a fight that that is unfathomal to me at this, you know what I'm saying, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in, in the type of danger that is like, you know, bro, of course, it's, it's, it's just crazy to think that people would think he would move in that way, you know what I mean? You have to be a radical to fight what was existing during that time period. And that's why the, the, the, the, the, the, the simplicity, the black and white stereotyping of like Malcolm X wanted people to want black people to go to war against white people and MLK wanted black people to turn the other cheek. It's like that is so removed from the reality of life.
Starting point is 00:43:18 Yes. Like MLK felt strategically that the best way to get from point A to point B was this strategy. The goal was the same note. He personally thought, you know, oh, white people deserve absolution. We should like there's none of that in his writing. In the, in, I have a dream speech. There's none of that, you know, that everyone, like, he said, the dream that we have not reached, obviously still today, is this world. He didn't say, if you don't think this is how things currently are, you're racist or your, you know, whatever. I mean, it's just, it's so insane. But yeah, like when he, when he was killed, his biggest project was advocating against poverty.
Starting point is 00:44:00 Right. He was in Memphis, he was in radical, he was in Memphis supporting sanitation workers who were striking. when he got murdered. Like, yeah. And that's the thing, like, like I said, he was a radical because in his later years, he kind of took a shift where he realized how capitalism played a big part in, you know, racial exploitation as well. And he started to tackle that.
Starting point is 00:44:24 So, yeah. Did he question the method, too? Wasn't he starting to question the method a little bit? Like the, you know what I'm saying? The method he was using as far as, like, I think. I think he felt that they'd achieved a certain. Yeah, I mean, from his writings, he felt that they'd achieve some things under a method of nonviolent protests, which obviously is true for the people who think it's like there's a right or wrong way. Like, obviously they achieved quite a bit.
Starting point is 00:44:47 But yeah, no, I mean, he was, like, and if you look at what happened to America in the 70s, he would have been a very different figure in the 70s for sure. To be a radically anti-war, anti-poverty, black American in the 70s, it's not I have a dream era for the country. for anybody, you know? All right. Did you guys see that the University of Toledo hired a soccer coach named Batman? Batman? Is that like his last name? No.
Starting point is 00:45:17 That's the coolest fucking last name ever. Can you imagine a nine-year-old with the last name, bro? Like he, what? That was his last name? That was his last name? Yeah. Oh, that's cool as fuck. That name is so cool.
Starting point is 00:45:31 I would think it's a typo. You're supposed to be like Bateman or something if I saw it. Is there another, like, is that the only Batman family on the, like, why wouldn't we know? I've never heard of a Batman in my life. His name is Mark Batman. Mark works. I'm sure he pronounces it Batman or something, but his name is Mark Batman. He's the most white Midwestern soccer coach you could possibly think of.
Starting point is 00:45:58 I think he's from Ohio. I think Mark is, we should have put Mark on the list of names that are just, yeah. I know he names Mark. Yeah. But let me just read you a couple lines from his bio. In 2009, Batman guided Ohio Northern to its first ever NCAA tournament appearance. Batman came to Ohio Northern after assistant coaching stints at Savannah Arts and Design, Dubuque, Iowa, and his alma mater, Wilmington.
Starting point is 00:46:23 Wait, he, Savannah has, Savannah Arts and Design has sports? I didn't know that either. I didn't either. Yeah. I thought Batman helped his team make two sweet 16 appearances in the NCAA Division 3 tournament. Motherfucking can do everything. You give him enough time to plan and he'll win you a soccer game.
Starting point is 00:46:43 Good old Mark Batman. I always can count on him. Mark's motherfucker bad man. A name you can count on. All right. Did you all hear about the mystery skeleton that they found at UC Berkeley? Hell no. Talk to me.
Starting point is 00:47:00 Okay. I'm just going to read you. This is a story on CNN. the University of California Police Department is open an investigation after a human skeleton was found on the UC Berkeley campus. UC Berkeley police were alerted to the skeleton Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:47:14 The skeletonized human remains were found in a building which has not been occupied for many years. It is not clear how many years they have been there, the police said in the statement. There are no outstanding cases of missing individuals from the campus community. They are going to be conducting an autopsy, but they literally don't know.
Starting point is 00:47:33 was this someone who was killed and dumped? Was this someone who got locked into a room somewhere and forgotten about? Where did the body come from? I have to say, a real who done it. Just a good old fashion. Good old fashioned. Have they run any like fucking, you know, tests so they know how old the remains are or anything? They probably just found it.
Starting point is 00:47:58 They just found it. Yeah, they just found it. Yeah. I want the remains to be like 600 years old. That's the, isn't a building. How old is a building? The building is not going to be that old. If the building is from like the fucking
Starting point is 00:48:11 1910s, 1920s and white people didn't give a fuck about where they were building, it's a possibility. Yeah. It's not under the building. It was in the building, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:22 It was in the building. Oh. Yeah, they're like unlocked a part of this building and they're like, oh, there's a fucking human skeleton. Like America's barely 600 years, right? Was it? So we saw how old is America? America's old as fuck.
Starting point is 00:48:34 A hundred. America is only 200. I mean, I mean, the United States, United States, you know. Out of America. Yeah. Wow, John. You're right. Not on MLK Day, John.
Starting point is 00:48:43 I'm on MLK Day. We're not doing that. You got me. You know there are already people here when Columbus got here, John. Apologies. Apologies. Apologies. Apologies.
Starting point is 00:48:56 To the native homies out there, listen. You feel? No disrespect. No disrespect. back. Did you guys hear about this made quite the stir on Twitter this week, the leopard that escaped from the Dallas Zoo, but it turns out it did not really escape from the Dallas Zoo. It went to the monkey habitat. Was it fucking the monkeys up? What? Why is that funny? Yes. That's a valid question, right.
Starting point is 00:49:22 Was it fucking the monkeys up or was it fucking the monkeys? I did not say what the fucking the monkeys. Goodness gracious. I was not thinking about monkey and leprudgeon. I was going to pivot that quickly into which enclosure would you try to go to if you were escaped leopard and over to the monkey enclosure no I saw the two where the Dallas it was like this is a cold purple or whatever
Starting point is 00:49:46 where there's not a dangerous animal loose but we are missing a leopard we're like who who the fuck is a leopard not dangerous dog like that's what I was tripping off too bro I'm like big that's that's not yeah big cats are the most refined killers in the animal kingdom you're saying this isn't a
Starting point is 00:50:02 fucking threatening you know cold color whatever the fuck yeah that was that yeah cold purple that's a cold red nigga fuck you mean it's a different color it's not a purple it's a higher level it's not a purple it's a more alarming color it's not a friendly ass color like purple it's not a calming color oh right right if a leopard runs up on one of us we are out of here dog
Starting point is 00:50:26 right there's an unarmed us just at the zoo you know you know taking in the sights a leopard runs up on us it's a crap, dog, we're done. Cooked, easily. Hey, so was it fucking the monkeys up, though? No. Is that question? No, it was just chilling with the monkeys?
Starting point is 00:50:44 But it also, they also said that it looked like someone intentionally cut an escape in the leopard enclosure for it. Was it a snow leopard or just? Another who done it. I think it. Another good old fashioned who done it. So see, I don't, I don't know. I think cats are probably hardwired to think anything smaller than them that moves
Starting point is 00:51:02 is prey, but maybe a snow leopard doesn't. doesn't look at monkeys as prey because, you know, they don't share the same habit. That's like, I'm sure a fucking South African leopard would look at a monkey and be like, yo, that's lunch right there, but a snowman. Unless they're even those cool-ass snow monkeys that be in the hot springs and shit, those motherfuckers are cool as hell. Those are like my favorite animals, dog. Like top three.
Starting point is 00:51:22 Yeah. None of the monkeys escaped and none had been harmed. Good. Good for everybody involved. Yeah. That feels like a cold purple. I'm sorry guys Maybe I'm going against

And it's not funny because they ended up killing it. But the gorilla's name was Jabari and it jumped over the wall and went on a quote 40 minute rampage that injured three people. That's something that Jabari would do though. A Jabari would jump to fish and get the bucket on niggas squaring off.
