And as always, Jenkins and Jones hosted by my good friends, Dragonfly Jones, aka Tyler.
Starting point is 00:01:09 Hey, everybody. How's again? Jetro Jenkins, aka John. We should address him as a KD's big bro because he got to call him big bro from around out, bro. He'd be sunning his ass on. In front of the whole world, you feel me.
Starting point is 00:01:23 I'm going to be a. Mike. That's exactly where we're starting. That's exactly where we have to start. Two monarchs went down last week, the Queen of England and Kevin Durant. Once again... Both got cooked.
Starting point is 00:01:39 Tyler, what? It's so funny to me. The way I find out that you're embarrassing Kevin Durant on Twitter is that people text me about it. And so I just texted you and John in the group chat like, you did it again, huh? Like, it's not even like, it's regular. It's another day at the office at this point. You feel?
Starting point is 00:01:59 Like, yeah, man. I mean, he hopped out there crazy again and had to hit him with the, as always. I mean, he'll learn one of these days, I suppose. But, you know, it all started with. with this tired-ass argument that I'm so fucking sick of. And it's the skills argument in basketball. Worst fucking argument, perhaps on NBA Twitter.
Starting point is 00:02:18 And NBA Twitter has a lot of terrible fucking arguments. All right. So it basically came down to, you know, people once again saying, you know, Janus isn't skilled because they said he relies on physicality. So my whole point is,
Starting point is 00:02:30 bro, that is a bullshit argument. Because I said, like, you know, every player leverages their physical advantages, right? Like, there's just this skewed perception of what skill is
Starting point is 00:02:39 in this NBA discussions because I think it feels like people think that skill has to be something that is like devoid of using any physical advantage. And that's just a stupid fucking way to look at what skill is. You know, like I said, every Hooper leverages their physical advantages. And I brought up how people, you know, always discredit Janus. They say, you know, all he does is rely on his height advantage and being bigger than everyone who he's scoring on him. My whole shit is, bro, Janus ain't the first seven footer in NBA history. You know what I'm saying? Why can't a guy like Javale do the same things that Yannis does? If there's a lot. no skill involved. And I brought up how like, you know, we never hear this argument for,
Starting point is 00:03:14 you know, when seven foot KD is like shooting clean over a six foot six defender. Because, you know, that, right? You know, that is for sure Kevin Durant leveraging his physical advantage over defenders. And there's for sure skill involved in Kevin Durant getting buckets, you know, over small defenders because, you know, fucking Ben Simmons is 611. You know what I'm saying? He gets bashed up with six foot five guys all the time. And he is by no stretch of any imagination of Kevin Durant. So, you know, like I said, my whole. whole point was, you know, every player leverages their physical advantages. Like, shit, Michael Jordan was the most athletic guy in the league.
Starting point is 00:03:47 You know what I'm saying? First three Pete Jordan that was, you know, old man back down game, second three Pete Jordan. He wasn't the most athletic guy in the league. But first three Pete Jordan, the best mid-air adjust of the game has ever really seen, you know, what I'm saying. And that's what skill often is. It's like, it's physical advantages being leveraged, you know, MJ getting buckets while adjust in midair because he's up there forever.
Starting point is 00:04:07 You know, KD getting buckets, shooting clean over six, six guys. Janice leveraging his, you know, his speed and his strength, you know, to get to the cup and being the best score in the league at the rim. So that was my whole point was that, you know, physical advantages often intertwined with skill and skills often the leveraging of physical advantages. And then some dude said, well, yeah, if Janice was six foot one, he wouldn't be in the league. And I said, okay, if MJ was five foot nine, he'd be an insurance salesman, right? Like, this is a very dumb way to look at shit. You know what I'm saying? Right?
Starting point is 00:04:38 But he's not six foot one. If Shaquille O'Neal has been 10 foot five, he might have killed someone. It's just like if Kobe Bryant was one foot four inches tall. I mean, she's like, right? What is it in, bro? You know what I mean? Right, exactly. It's a stupid fucking way of looking at that shit.
Starting point is 00:04:57 Well, you know, I tweeted that. And here goes fucking Kevin, you know, quote tweeting me, purposely missing the point as he always does, you know, and throwing out those little snarky at, he threw out the little snarky-ass tweet. what would you be if you were 6-6? You know, and I saw that. I was like, okay, all right. And let me tell you, let me tell you, let me tell you, let me tell you where y'all
Starting point is 00:05:17 fuck up interacting with Kevin Durant on Twitter. Y'all think he is on Twitter to have good faith conversations about basketball. And he absolutely is not. You know what I'm saying? Like, there was that time last, he is a troll. You know what I'm saying? Like, there was that time last summer where, where, you know, that reporter hopped out there. It was like, Kevin, you know, we'd love to hear, you know, some comments on this
Starting point is 00:05:37 situation that you have now. And Kevin was like, what you want to know? And that dude ran off like five, six questions. And Katie was like, L. well, nice try. Right? Like, KD is not out there to have good faith conversations with folks. You know, he bates him in a banking there are.
Starting point is 00:05:50 Then he clowns him. They fall for it. Bam. Next thing, you know, you got 10,000 quote tweets of people laughing at how KD does body to you. So I make it a point to never explain myself to Katie when he hops out there, you know, crazy my mind. I could be like, oh, no, Kevin, you misunderstood. I wasn't saying that, you know, all Jordan had was his height.
Starting point is 00:06:05 I was saying it's a skewed. No, I wasn't going to do that shit. I'm a big fan, bro. like no no exactly he threw out some snarky shit so i said hey okay so he asked me what would i be if i would i be if i had some leverage and that standoff you just had with your side like you know what i'm saying if we we want to take it to the snarky hypothetical tweets let's talk about that so yeah man so katy hopped out there crazy and i had to bust his ass again it is what it is i also like trying he keeps trying it shows he's a competitor he won't give up you know what i'm saying he won't give up and i think
Starting point is 00:06:38 that's one thing that's good about it. But it's just, it's odd, bro. Like, you dunked on him last time to the point where, I mean, for me, that's like me getting knocked the fuck out by a motherfucker that should knock me out, that you think should knock you out. I'm not going to fight that motherfucker again, bro. I'm like, that motherfucker got them hands. I learned my lesson I'm moving on.
Starting point is 00:06:56 He keeps coming back, baby. You know what I'm saying? He's trying to get that. It ain't coming, though, man. He's coming back. He's putting the back. I'm holding very firmly to the lick, Kevin. You will not.
Starting point is 00:07:07 You will not. take it from my grips. You will never get that lick back. You're only accumulating more licks. There is no legal lick refund that I will be dispensing to you. The thing that's weird to me is that you mentioned he's always coming at you about weird misinterpretated shit too. Like that's what I don't understand.
Starting point is 00:07:30 It's like, I mean, I guess the thing we were wrongest about or you were wrong us about, he can't really come at you about how you were wrong about Joe Sop. I guess. He doesn't really have a lot of ground to stand on to throw a punch at you about that shit, I guess. But like, but for it to be about this, it's like, man, you ain't had no response. You feel me? So I told his ass, boy, shut all that. Jibba jabbing up all that dilly dally and come back to work.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Yes, sir. Okay. I just don't, but it is just weird the shit that he, that he's come at. you about is like so, I don't know, it's like, it's, it's trying to throw a haymaker as someone who knows it, to use John's analogy. It's like trying to start a punch back here on someone outside of bar who actually knows that a fight. It's like you like get you with something better than your joke about MJ or something. I don't know. Because that whole, the skill physical advantages shit, that's how we know nothing interesting happened in the NBA in the last
Starting point is 00:08:33 two weeks. I thought we were done with that shit, bro. That's the worst hoops conversation ever. I would rather go back to 1994, like, who's the next white superstar? That's a better hoops conversation than skills versus physical advantage to me. I hate that shit, bro. It's all, like, it's all physical skills and advantages. That's the whole, like, you cannot untangle those things. You cannot untangle those things. There's no point in trying to.
Starting point is 00:08:56 It's like people think that it takes no skill to get buckets in the NBA inside a 10 feet or something. You know what I mean? If you're inside of 10 feet of you're at the rim, footwork doesn't matter. Touch doesn't matter. This motherfucker is seven foot Euro stepping through fucking six six motherfuckers. You know what I'm saying? Finishing soft with the rim or booming on your ass. You got options.
Starting point is 00:09:16 You know what I mean? Like, I mean, there's a lot that goes into getting buckets in basketball. You know what I mean? When it goes to crashing or, you know, hitting it to the rim or shooting jumpers, you know what I mean? So like the fact that he's doing that, you know, like you said, like, you know, why is there Javelle doing that? There's a lot of skill in somebody, his size being able to. to do what he does. And it seems like you just,
Starting point is 00:09:39 you guys have never played basketball. They're skilled in Javel, being javeled. That's like, come watch a high school or college basketball game with a seven foot dude who's not going to make it to the NBA
Starting point is 00:09:49 and tell me that the worst seven footer in the NBA is not skilled. I mean, give me a fucking break, bro. It just, it makes, being on court with, we're like Bradley Bill. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:09:59 By far, way more athletic than us. He got his foot in the fucking in the pain. And he boomed that bitch. You know what I'm saying? Like, the most athletic person I may
Starting point is 00:10:06 have been on the court with every in my life, right? But you could see the skill there. You could see the skill that even though he was much bigger and much stronger. You would feel the exact same way if he's on the court with fucking Janus. And so I know, I know, Katie was going, you know, going, they went seven, went seven against Janus, you know what I'm saying? In the playoffs, you know what I mean? Like, dog, like he's played against Janus a number of times.
Starting point is 00:10:27 He sees that. Everybody in league sees that. You know what I mean? So it's like, like you said, it's like he's not trying to have a real basketball conversation if he was, he wouldn't even, you know, fuck with that shit. You know what I mean? He wants to get that lick back and it ain't coming, baby. No refunds at the lick store, buddy.
Starting point is 00:10:44 All lick sales are final. Right. All that all final, baby. Shout out to Kevin Durant for participating in the increased representation in the fantasy world that Lord of the Rings and Little Mermaid are, they're giving us black elves and black mermaids and KD's giving us a black troll, you know, like you said, Tyler. So diversity.
Starting point is 00:11:07 Also, like, it was weird with Katie. People were saying, like, you know, not using KD. Like, Katie's, like, the most, to me, an absolute fucking free. You know what I'm saying? To me, when I look at him and Janus, they're just as freakish. You know what I mean? Like, physically, you know what I mean? Like, one's more stronger.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Just like, and what Katie can do with the ball. It's not just skill. He was fucking blessed from God starting off. You feel me? He was born with shit. Niggas ain't born with. So it's like, I don't know how people don't see that comparison. Like those two, if anybody, should make most sense, you know.
Starting point is 00:11:40 I think there's a sensitivity. There's a sense because what KD thinks when he hears people talk about athleticism, right? And the coded word of athleticism is he's thinking about how obsessed he was with basketball and how there were dudes who were his height who were not shooting, who were not sleeping in the gym, we're not doing the stuff he was doing. So I think it's similar to the height thing. There's just a sensitivity of these dudes. and we've talked about it on the pod before,
Starting point is 00:12:04 if you're 6'10 when you're 15, 16 years old, none of us have any conception of what that life is like. They lived it like, even if you don't make it to the NBA, you're living a completely different life. You're never able to just be in the background for your whole life, right? Everyone's able to see you and look at you and think thoughts about you and talk shit to you, whatever. And so I think there's a sensitivity that we don't talk about how weird it is
Starting point is 00:12:28 that these dudes who are the, for my money, I take them over soccer players, football players, whatever. the most athletic, incredible collection of athletes in the world, right? And they're sensitive about, I got to pretend I'm not seven foot. Or I got to pretend I am seven foot. Like it's the goofies. I made the analogy in the group chat. Like, this is people lying about their height and weight on their driver's license, which
Starting point is 00:12:51 we all do, like, you know, which regular humans do at an insecurity. You're a multi-millionaire Fortune 500 CEO because in part of the physical gifts you have. And you're like, hey, could you put down that I'm six foot 10 instead of seven foot? Like it's the weirdest shit that sensitivity about those physical gifts. But I understand it too. But what's odd to me is like, you know, talking about like obsession. Like who's more obsessed with basketball to Janus? Like it's his obsession is story just like KD's, right?
Starting point is 00:13:22 You know what I mean? And also have we ever seen a KD before? Have we ever seen a Yonis before? They're just as rare. So that comparison makes so much sense to me. So if you're going to use that, like, I mean, for me, if I'm, if I'm KD or if I'm like, you know, Tyler, like, or I'm looking at what Tyler's saying, that comparison is the perfect comparison. And, you know, they're just as rare. It's just in different ways. They're just as skilled as in different ways, too. And we, but we don't see it the same way when that's, that's odd to me. But, like, I just, I just, like, people just don't, they, they see basketball in one particular way. And these are a lot of people that have never played basketball. Because just, like I said, if you get on the court with fucking Janus or Katie, you'll be just as impressive. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:14:06 I guarantee that. You won't be thinking about one's more skilled than the other. They both going to dominate your ass. It's going to feel the exact same way in just different ways. You know what I mean? It's such a dumb argument because you see people's aesthetic bias come through. You know what I mean? Like, you know, like I said, seven foot Katie shooting over a guy. He's a half a foot tall of him.
Starting point is 00:14:27 That's him leveraging his physical advantage. Katie, Janus being bigger, stronger, faster than Dan's. and everybody on the court and getting to the cup and, you know, scoring there. That's him leveraging his physical advantages. They are both leveraging their physical advantages. But it's like, you know, people think that, you know, what KD is doing, you know, because it's the pretty mid-range, you know, fadeaway game. They think that's more skillful.
Starting point is 00:14:44 Like, people will think a fucking 29% step back is more skillful than an 80%, you know, drop step. You know what I mean? Like, I don't get the fucking math there, bro. If you ask me what skills is to find is, I look at it as results, right? I'm not saying, you know, championships, you know, acclays and that. I'm talking about putting the fucking ball in the basket. Like that's what fucking matters in basketball. Point blank.
Starting point is 00:15:05 You know what I mean? You know, if you put a gun to my head and asked me to find it, I'd say getting the most out of your body is what every athlete in every sport is trying to do, right? You look at LeBron James. Is that the most physically gifted human being we've seen play sports? Maybe. Is he getting the most out of it? Fuck, yes. God damn right.
Starting point is 00:15:25 You know what I mean? And so to me, it's the same thing with KD. him being seven foot but able to shoot the way the seven footers had never been able to shoot. That is skill development. That is getting the most out of being seven foot. You look at Janus. I'm sorry, did these skill fucking wah-w-w-w-waz on Twitter not see what that dude look like when he got
Starting point is 00:15:44 into the National Basketball Association? You think adding 100 pounds of muscle happened accidentally? You know what I mean? Like you think that the development of physical dominance is not also the development of skill? Like these are the people who don't appreciate Shaq, who don't appreciate the footwork and skill that Shaq had and just, oh, he's big and dominant. Being big and dominant is a fucking skill.
Starting point is 00:16:08 That's why there's not a ton of big and dominant people walking around. I mean, I've seen Janus step from like, Eurostep one dribble from fucking, it was like three-fourths court. Like it was like right, it was between half court and the other three, other three-point line. one dribble euro step my nigger have you ever seen any seven-footer do anything close to that nigga never seen no show bro if that ain't skill in basketball what the fuck you're looking for i mean
Starting point is 00:16:37 it's incredible you know what i'm saying so i just like that's a guy that understands the game and understands his body and like you said he's getting the best out of his fucking body yes he is fucking abnormal but everybody in the fucking league is like you said there'll be no other athletes if you stand every group of athlete together basketball players would by far
Starting point is 00:16:59 be the most oh my God is that I saw I saw Josh Smith Josh Smith the one who who beat the clippers by himself
Starting point is 00:17:07 I saw Josh Smith in person I saw Josh Smith could punch me from across the fucking street that motherfucker like six eight his arms
Starting point is 00:17:14 they look bro they looked like it was dragging behind him I saw him at the Linux fucking mall bro you know I mean
Starting point is 00:17:20 and I mean it's dog it's like it's all these guys are freaks So, okay? I saw Tres in a, I saw Montres Harrell in an open run with college basketball players. Division 1 NCAA basketball players.
Starting point is 00:17:31 And he looked like Jesus Christ. You know what I mean? No, it's there, these measurements are weird. It's not just seven foot. The measurements are just crazy. You know what I'm saying? Like the wingspan, all that shit. But dog, man, I mean, like, I just don't see how you can watch that guy do what he does and think there's no, there's not an immense amount of skill there.
Starting point is 00:17:50 You know, you're ignoring it. It's ridiculous. Yeah. You're missing a lot of beautiful basketball. looking at basketball. It's fucking art when he does. And the problem is the analytics movement and we're all
Starting point is 00:18:00 I'm not anti-analytics, you know, et cetera, et cetera. To an extent it's you're just talking about intelligence. But when we were kids, what there was was an acknowledgement
Starting point is 00:18:07 that everyone who is on that sort of all-star tier was an incredible basketball player that we all looked up to and wanted to be. And you just argue about who is your favorite. This is my favorite.
Starting point is 00:18:19 He does shit that's my favorite shit to watch. And now, because analytics, have convinced people that arguments are solvable, which the whole point of these arguments is they're not, it's now who is the best, who is better because of this metric, who is more efficient at this? And I'm not saying that those conversations don't have some value. I'm just saying they're boring. And there's no point to having them. Like, let the numbers say
Starting point is 00:18:44 what the numbers say. And then like your heart and your eyeballs say what they want to say. And to me, I mean, we've talked about Kevin Durant's like one of my favorite two or three basketball players ever. I love Kevin Durant. I don't give a fuck about skill or about the true shooting numbers, whatever. He's a big motherfucker who does some crazy big motherfucker shit. You know what I mean? Look, we all get paid to talk about basketball. Maybe that's a caveman thing to say, but that's also how I feel about basketball. Right, right. I was on that Deadless Shrimp video, there was a guy that said he wasn't one of the best shooters in the league. He was one of the best big men that you could shoot in the league.
Starting point is 00:19:25 I'm like, the motherfucker shot 40% from the three-point line. If he shot one of fucking game, that's one of the best shooters in the fucking world ever. 40% 50-40 for his career, nigger, you feel me? When you get into this type of weird shit, I'm just blocked the motherfucker. I never want to hear you say anything ever again on this fucking planet. You know what I mean? It's these weird conversations.
Starting point is 00:19:45 And one of my homies got an argument. I'm like, bro, it ain't worth it. Like, you right? The motherfucker didn't, it wasn't good faith. You know what I'm saying? These motherfuckers period, overall in these arguments, is not a. about good faith. It's about, you know, trying to, they just want to get on here and argue and try to prove somebody wrong for no fucking reason. Come on, gee, you know what I mean? I just,
Starting point is 00:20:01 it's these arguments as a whole, I just can't even participate in them. I respect Tyler for being even jumping this shit, bro. I mean, I'll be, I'll be just liking his fucking tweets. Like, boop, yeah. You're right about this, this, this and this. Retweet. But I have nothing to say to these niggas, man. I got no time for it, bro. That's weird, bro. I would fucking die for Janice. I love that guy. Oh, yeah. I will argue any time on the internet for you, Yonis. I think you argue for fun, bro.
Starting point is 00:20:29 I think you, I think you argue for fun on some, man. I'd be, I'd be hot sometimes. Like, nigger, shit. Like, you. But I think you just be, do-da-do. That's what's funny about Tyler and Katie bumping into each other on the Twitter streets. Is there really the same dude? Right, right, right.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Tyler's just better at doing it. Right. Tyler's just a Katie of Twitter. Katie's a Katie of basketball. He's the Tyler of basketball. You know what I'm saying? I will grant KD that he's better at Twitter than Tyler is at basketball. He's great, but as we've said before, he's great at Twitter for an NBA player.
Starting point is 00:21:06 Tyler is great at Twitter for a human being. Get in on the Monday night football action with Fandul, America's number one sportsbook. Starting point is 00:22:32 gambler or visit fanduil.com slash RG. All right. Let's talk about the queen dying. Gentlemen, a lot of discourse. I don't want to talk about any of the discourse, but that was one of the funniest days I've seen on Twitter in quite some time, bro. bro, that picture where someone tweeted, my grandma turned 97 today and someone quote tweeted, unlike some people, oh, my fucking guy. Jesus Christ. Are you kidding me?
Starting point is 00:23:01 They had Kobe crossing the fucking queen, nigga. I'm like, y'all niggas is wild, dog. You know what I mean? And I don't, I don't give a fuck about the monarchy or the royal family. I saw see it pass. I'm like, okay, you know, continue to eating breakfast. forgot about it. Looked on fucking Twitter.
Starting point is 00:23:20 And I'm like, they're putting hands, feet, head button, your motherfucker elbows, knees. I'm like, they have beef. I didn't know, I mean,
Starting point is 00:23:32 I know like what, it's ridiculous, it's racist, and what they, what they, we talked about in a group chat, somebody said that, uh,
Starting point is 00:23:42 somebody in a group chat said that English, England was putting up. England was putting up. What was that? Braun numbers? Brawn numbers invading other countries. Invading other countries. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:23:53 they got beat for show. I could believe that the graph was, the stat was only 22 countries on planet Earth have not been invaded by England. That's the craziest shit. And I said England's, the colonialism was putting up brawn numbers. Only 22 countries on Earth.
Starting point is 00:24:11 Out of like 108 years of shit, right? That's right, right. Well, and England is not the Mongolian Empire. England is like California. bro. England is an island in a shitty part of the world with shitty weather and not physically advantaged human beings. Yeah, I was shy. So yeah, but to what you said, John, it's like we all know, you know, fuck all that stuff. But I, I wasn't aware that I, first of all, I wasn't aware until she died
Starting point is 00:24:37 of her personal direct connection to some of that stuff or how much of that she was, you know, was happening while she was ruling. Right. I didn't know she'd been the ruler since, you know, all of the scary years in the fucking history textbooks. Once we was reading about like, fuck, that motherfucker. It was that motherfucker. It was that motherfucker we were saying, fuck.
Starting point is 00:24:59 I was unaware, but yeah, they were fucking lighting her ass up something proper. The homie Aaron tweeted she saw a black elf and her body disappeared like a Jedi. Oh. It was on her ass, bro.
Starting point is 00:25:19 They was clowning. You all see that? I was shit. No, I saw people saying, like, I saw people like fighting back, like trying to, like that, you know, respect the royal family or actually cared. And it was just funny seeing how they got jumped too. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, bro, anybody could get it.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Was that tweet about old, was that, was that tweet really for somebody from London that, that tweeted that their son was locked himself in the bathroom and she's certain that he was jerking off and at a time like this? Was that real? I just spin by it and laugh. I think that was a joke. Okay, okay, okay. That was me on 9-11, though.
Starting point is 00:26:03 I was in the shower, just, you know, being fucking 17, having a good old time. Oh, 9-11. My mom had the news on, and I was just immediately, I was raised around Catholics, and I was immediately like, what have I done? He julated, came out like, Grandpa was right Shit shit
Starting point is 00:26:30 man I mean Ireland like we thought black Twitter was me though Ireland went crazy they were in soccer games singing
Starting point is 00:26:40 They were at a soccer game and the whole stadium was singing Lizzie's in a box bro the whole stadium did you see that tweet with old boy
Starting point is 00:26:53 that's in I forget the TV show. You don't remember that shit. But the TV show is really good, though. Picky Blinders. That plays the place, like the head lead character. Killian Murphy. Yeah, y'all know his name.
Starting point is 00:27:05 But yeah, but you see when he, like, Irish never forget. He wanted a. They said he moved to London for work. Realized his kids were getting the English accent and moved back to Ireland and said, I heard about that. I heard about that. He's like, he wanted to stick, homie, man. He's like, right.
Starting point is 00:27:23 I'm going to pretend for the second, nigga, but... Yeah. Love that. Love that mean. Crazy. All right. Let's talk about Tyler. You had another tweet I saw last night that made me very happy.
Starting point is 00:27:34 USC football is back. Colin Cowherd called it. Uncle Colin. He did. Right on the NCAA football shit. But wish he called it. But wish he called it. I love your tweet about he, this man made USC football relevant again.
Starting point is 00:27:50 And people really want him to feel emotionally back. about leaving Oklahoma. They wanted that man to stick around in Oklahoma and have gravy and biscuits supper with Paul and Ma. I was like, bro, supper doesn't even exist in Southern California. I was like, if you eat supper,
Starting point is 00:28:10 you are in a bullshit-ass state, dog. Hey, that's a hell of a, that's a hell of a point right there, dog. Yeah, listen. Supper's good.
Starting point is 00:28:21 Supper's good. But the state is always. trash, nigga, you know what I mean? Yes. I feel like I don't technically know what supper is, but I think supper is like a break that you take from if you live in a dry ass, dusty-ass state and you coming in from working the land and the land been busting your ass all day, right? Like I said it's like, you know, supper is like a TV timeout that wasn't implemented by like, advertisers, but was implemented by like the dustbow. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's basically how I put that supper. Supper is dinner in red states to me.
Starting point is 00:28:52 You know what I'm saying? Like you in a red state, you eat supper instead of dinner. You know what I mean? Like there is a culture around. There is a culture around it. Like when we're in Montana and North Dakota, they have like supper clubs. You know what I mean? Which is like a little bit different.
Starting point is 00:29:07 You know, but like, yeah, when I was explaining to the kids that lived out there, you know, they're like, well, what do you do? It was like, we just play basketball until 10 o'clock because it's fucking the perfect weather, 390 days a year. You know what I mean? You don't have to take shelter. for two hours to extend your evening meal. Take shelter. We had a good cultural exchange when I was out there, man. As a teenager,
Starting point is 00:29:36 they showed me that they shoot animals for fun. You know, they'd fucking shoot the, what do you call them the little shits that come up out of the ground? Not ground halls. Prairie dogs. They shoot prairie dogs.
Starting point is 00:29:49 They go out to like a prairie dog area area. And they just like shoot prairie. doctor's fun. I'd be like, that's cool, man. We just mostly talk to women. I, you know, like... Gary y'all ain't fucking with nobody. Y'all a bit clapping them up. Fuck wrong with y'all. But, you know, show, show, everyone's got their own shit. Let's talk about... Let's talk about Jameson's advanced analytical analysis of the human body. This was my favorite... This is my favorite shit that happened on Twitter this week.
Starting point is 00:30:20 Tyler, can you explain the new science of anatomy via... James Winston. You know, when someone says something that's just right there, but then you're like, wow, never thought of it that way. He was basically talking about getting his body right. And he was talking about how, you know, everything's symmetrical on the body. I was like, yeah, of course. We all know that. But then he was like, you know, wrists are just arm ankles.
Starting point is 00:30:46 I was like, oh, shit. Then he was like, ankles are just leg, wrists. and he was like, all, and he was like, elbows are leg knees. Knees are leg elbows. And I was like, wow. And he says shoulders are just the, the hips on the upper part of your body. Like, it was right there. What was the reason for this?
Starting point is 00:31:10 What was the reason? He was talking about like conditioning and shit. He was talking about working out different parts of his body to make sure that like, you know, he stay. So it's like, okay, hey, if you want your knees to be healthy, you got to work on your upper body too. Okay. You want your shoulders to be. be healthy. You got to work on your hips, too. And so he just started talking about, and you can see the media had the same reaction. Everyone on Twitter did of like, oh, wrists are leg, our arm ankles.
Starting point is 00:31:36 He just like, he just like kept going at that point. He was like fired up. He turned John's brain inside out. Look at John. He lost me after having to work your shoulders to get your hips right. I don't, that is crazy. Oh shit. All right. If you're an NFL quarterback, maybe you and I don't need to work our shoulders to get our hips healthy. If we're an NFL quarterback, you know.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Okay. I mean, we've seen that dumb shit, Dak be doing when he's warming up. What the fuck is that? James does that. It's a turn. Yeah, you get that. It's okay, man.
Starting point is 00:32:21 All right. Got to work his hips and shoulders out. his upper and lower body hips. Maybe is he saying that they all, everything works in unison. You know what I'm saying? Everything relies on one. He's just saying it in a more interesting way.
Starting point is 00:32:36 Yeah. Yeah, good for him, man. More poetic way, I'd say. I'd go that far. You know what I mean? Someone give him a book deal. I need the full analysis. I need to know what my lower body eyeballs are.
Starting point is 00:32:51 I'm lower body. All right. Tyler, you put this perfectly. I've been trying to figure out how to talk about this because I wanted to talk about it on the show, but about the fact that Sharr and I are watching all of them. But the fantasy world is increasing representation and diversity and not just having everyone have English accents for some fucking reason. And so there are on the Lord of the Rings show this out on Amazon, which we're enjoying. there are black elves and there are in
Starting point is 00:33:23 the new House of Dragon show we're talking about in the midweek episodes there are black Targaryens and as we mentioned with Kevin Durant we have black trolls as well and you know obviously Star Wars has been
Starting point is 00:33:37 black characters Asian characters where it was previously it had been a whole galaxy that was everything revolved around one white family so this is really bothering some people and I would have been trying to figure out a way to talk about it.
Starting point is 00:33:53 And then Tyler is usually just cut straight through the bone with his tweet that was just like, you know, it's like when we were kids, racist were like you were sort of scared of racist, right? Of like what they could do. And now there are people on the internet who are angry about the new little mermaid trailer. Like grown ass men angry at a mermaid dog. What the fuck? I mean, it's also fucking stupid. But, like, races are really out here mad at elves and mermaids and fucking a show where there's dragons. Like, bro, like, it's, you don't, it's fucking fantasy world.
Starting point is 00:34:30 Like, who gives a fuck? You know what I'm saying? I don't even care if this shit has to be, you know, like, like, people are like, well, it's hypothetical. You know, technically it's impossible because, you know, there's not a lot of sunlight under the sea, so she wouldn't have melan. Like, really, bitch? Like, who gets a fuck? It's a motherfucker. It's a motherfuckerane.
Starting point is 00:34:47 They don't exist. Let's start there. That is the fucking foundation of this discussion, you dumb fuck. But yeah, it's so fucking stupid, man. So stupid. Am I supposed to say something? I think Thomas said everything. I mean, what gets me weird?
Starting point is 00:35:08 Yeah, what gets, what's weird to me, too, is like how they bring in history. The history of, motherfucker, you know what I'm saying? There is no history to this shit. All of it's fucking made up. None of it ever existed. So, yeah, man. I mean, I didn't see that conversation, but we've seen him in the past. It's just ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:35:25 I love when I can tell when John hasn't been on Twitter much for a couple of days because Tyler and I will bring up the stupid things people are saying on Twitter. And John is making faces that are like, what? Why would say? They're still doing this? Like, we've had this exact conversation about different things probably 17 times. You know what I mean? Like how many times in this pot have we had this conversation about somebody making up?
Starting point is 00:35:50 You know, I'm like, why they are mad, a fairy tale land has black people in it. You know what I mean? Or, you know, it's just, or people that didn't exist when they first made the fairy tale land. And they bring up the history of it. And motherfucker, you know, or like bringing actual science into a fairy tale land story. Like, it's ridiculous. So I thought it was, I thought, I was hoping we'd move past that. You know, we seem to have moved past the $200 dates.
Starting point is 00:36:19 You know what I mean? Like, I was. I was actually against that as a kid, bro. You know, I was like, nah, I ain't broke no more, you feel me? So I ain't really mad at just one another day. You were anti-together. That's a regular day.
Starting point is 00:36:32 I wasn't against. I'm just like, yo, don't expect. I never actually said anything in that argument. I never was like, but I also, you know, was like, yo, I go to Cheesecake Factory. You know what I'm saying? It's been $110 on a great fucking evening. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:36:49 Like, and that, That's if we're getting, you know, the fucking, the appetizers and dessert. You feel me? And so, like, I was like, I ain't spending $200 on the first day. First of all, because I ain't really have it like that. You know what I'm saying? Like, $200 was a lot of money. I was getting paid like a stack every two months.
Starting point is 00:37:05 I mean, I mean, every two months. Every two weeks. God damn, bigger. That's actually 36K. No, but I was getting back a stack every two weeks, you know, like take home. $2?00. That's an eighth of that for a stranger? I don't know, bro.
Starting point is 00:37:20 $200 date to me. Yeah, it was a little excess. Even, I don't know, even in my broke days, I was always down to spend whatever to have fun with a beautiful woman. Like, that was never a problem with me, dog. I'll worry about them overdraft fees next week. I mean, we have a fun right now.
Starting point is 00:37:37 I was fucking in cars and shit, like, in the field, in the park. So, nigga, they had to spend that $200, I won't go spend it, gee. Like, if you're going to let me pull up, you know what I'm saying? Bring a few drinks. to tax you know what I mean who whom's dem I? You need to argue with you. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:37:59 Giving me that joy for 1550 or whatever the fuck. You know what I'm saying? I pay it on them drinks. So yeah. I don't think we, I don't think if you don't count going on vacation, I don't think Shar and I have probably had more than a handful of $200 dates. It's just we didn't have money when we were first together. And then when we have money, it's like let's spend it on going places or you know
Starting point is 00:38:19 what I mean, like whatever. So I don't know, we don't, I don't, I don't drink. So it's also harder to get to $200. Right, right, right, right. Rinks in there too. Right. Drinks that up. Tyler, where were you spending $200 at, like in your mid-20s? When you first got cool. Yeah, this is one spot out here. I don't know if it's, if it's a nationwide chain or whatever, Texas Day, Brazil, you've heard that? Is that the, is that the joint where it's like a red, yellow, green and you like can turn and It's a Brazilian steakhouse where there's like 15 fucking different meats that they bring to you. And it's literally $100 a plate for a person. A person.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Yeah. It's so worth it, bro. Like they got lamb chops, fucking, you know, pork tenderloin, fucking, you know, like German-type sausages and shit. It is well worth it, bro. I mean, I was in St. Louis, bro. Nah, bro. You know what I'm saying? Like, I'm talking about White Castle on the way to the career.
Starting point is 00:39:13 You feel me? Like, I assumed that. Because to me, at least, like a super expensive restaurant would not ever be where I would want to have a first date. I assumed a $200 first date was like you were doing three things. You were getting like a nice meal and you were going to the movies and then you were getting dessert or something. Like you could add that up to $200. But $200 at a restaurant. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:39:35 I can't think. It's probably only been. It's always been a steakhouse. It's probably only been a handful of times in my life. I've spent that much at a restaurant. See, see you don't drink. That's a cheat code, bro. Like drinks be like $15 a pop.
Starting point is 00:39:45 You know what I'm saying? You got like four or five of them motherfuckers. You know what I'm saying? You had like 75 right there. I think the thing with me too is I didn't really date a lot of strangers, like where I just had it like, it was somebody. It was always somebody that knew somebody or I knew them in some way. You were more hanging out in a romantic way with them than you were going on a, yeah. Yeah, we meet up at the hookah spot and drink beer and like have some like, you know what I'm saying, some little joints.
Starting point is 00:40:06 And it would, you feel me? But like, it was like we just meet up and kick it. We already had kind of met each other for real. So like, I wasn't just, I didn't like, I didn't like, I, I didn't like, I, I, I didn't have a whole bunch of strangers. I was like there was like I was really, you know, fuck with it at the time. So maybe that helped you.
Starting point is 00:40:21 But I think being in St. Louis also helped too, because I didn't really, we didn't really frequent any, any places where you'd have to spend upwards of $200 for a meal. You know what I mean? Like, like, nigga. I mean, I think up until like 30, the most I'd spent on a meal was like maybe two,
Starting point is 00:40:39 a little, barely over $2 on it with the tip. And we went to a spy in Chicago with the person I was dating at the time. And we had been there like six, seven years. And she was, she used to watch this particular, like this reality TV show that they own a restaurant. So we went there. And it was great. Like, it was like, these motherfuckers made this from like this taste good, but also a scientific standpoint. We're like, I know they put this in there because I was going to affect my brain because I left there feeling particularly, like way different than every other meal I've had before.
Starting point is 00:41:07 But, dog, yeah, like it was, I mean, so I don't, yeah, I don't think we even had access to shit like that for real. I'm wondering. I mean, Richmond's similar to St. Louis, too, but I don't know, man. That y'all East Coast niggas, man. Y'all, y'all boozy over there, man. Richmond is a great restaurant city, bro. Yeah, it makes sense. I believe it.
Starting point is 00:41:25 I believe it. All right. Just when you thought all dumb food-related arguments had been solved, John took the pin out of the grenade. This is not dumb. This is not dumb. No, no, no, no. I'm not saying your argument is dumb.
Starting point is 00:41:39 I'm saying the argument, it's set like, you know, it's like in the category of dumb food arguments. We should not be arguing about this, right, right, right, for sure, for sure. John, state your, state your case. I just want to say this, okay? What I tweeted was that cherries are what we portray strawberries to be, and cherries are actually a much better fruit. I will say this.
Starting point is 00:42:02 The peak of a strawberry is better than a cherry, right? But that peak, you know, you hardly see it. You know, it's rare. Like one out of eight strawberries hit that peak. You feel me? You feel me? When you buy it, when you buy a bushel, a bushel, whatever the fuck you want to call it,
Starting point is 00:42:21 a bushel of berries, a bushel of them strawberries. Oh, you buy a bushel of them. He's getting them motherfuckers from the corner, the old lady in the corner, you buy it a bushel of them. I like a bushel of them berries. But no, like,
Starting point is 00:42:32 you buy a bushel of a bag of strawberries, whatever container. You know, 30% of them going to be good. The other 70% is not what you paid for, bro. Matter of fact, the other 30% Like the final 30%, you might not eat because they're going to be absolute fucking trash. Cherries, there might be three cherries that aren't what you pay for.
Starting point is 00:42:54 You know what I mean? And cherries are really good. You feel me? So like when we averaging it all out, I think the cherry is a much better fruit. I know what I'm going to get. The best comparison is Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A, all right? When you go to Chick-fil-A, you know exactly what you're going to get.
Starting point is 00:43:11 It's good, but it's not the best fucking chicken. sandwich you ever had, it's just really good and really consistent. Every time you're going to, and that's what a cherry is. A strawberry is the fucking, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's fucking banging. But 70% of the time, the motherfucker's in the back, going to put too much mayo on that motherfucker. The letter's going to be all this shit.
Starting point is 00:43:35 You know what I mean? And it ain't going crisp, like, it ain't going to crunch, like it's supposed to crunch. You know what I'm saying? But, but chick filet is going to be consistent. I think that's why cherry, you. is as a whole a better fruit because my experience
Starting point is 00:43:47 eating a ball of cherries or a boil of strawberries is going to be much better from eating cherries. That's how I think about it. That's a lot of thought
Starting point is 00:43:54 going into fucking which fruit is better. And I'd be really bored tonight because I'm a kept man and that's what
Starting point is 00:44:02 I spend my time doing, either reading or thinking about that bullshit, you feel me? I'm going to be honest
Starting point is 00:44:09 with you. I'm not that big a fan of like black cherries. I love Rainier cherries. Renier cherries. are fucking amazing.
Starting point is 00:44:15 But black cherries, they're cool. I like cherries in general. And obviously it's taste. But I think like, you know, but I think like the, the propaganda behind strawberries and how they're like, a peak fucking fruit is bullshit.
Starting point is 00:44:30 You know what I mean? And Mike made the point. He's like, you can't get strawberries from, somebody was like, you can't, you're eating corporate strawberries. You can't get strawberries from a store.
Starting point is 00:44:40 And I'm like, so I can't go to the place they sell, strawberries to get strawberries. I got to keep my ear to the street to get good strawberries. That's what I need to do. And I respect that, though, because, you know, I fuck with the corner motherfuckers, but I don't know in L.A.
Starting point is 00:44:56 where they selling strawberries on the street, you feel me? And, like, I can just go to Trader Joe's right down the street. I go to Target and get a good bag of strawberries, you feel me? Like, it's just so much more convenient and easy, like, so I don't know. I'm, I'm going to tell you a cheat code I use this. I get, like, the little fruit sales. or whatever they got pineapple and strawberry. And whenever I eat a strawberry, I eat a pineapple chunk with it.
Starting point is 00:45:19 Because, you know what I'm saying? To balance out that tart? Yeah, pineapple. Pineapple is bat 1,000. Every pineapple chunk you ever going to eat in your life is going to be perfect, bro. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. So you throw a goddamn pineapple chunk in for some goddamn, you know,
Starting point is 00:45:33 sweetening with the strawberry, you good money. But you shouldn't have to do that. I want to be clear on that. You shouldn't have to do that. Especially with how strawberries are portrayed. You feel me? Yes. I got to keep my ear to the streets.
Starting point is 00:45:45 I got to mix them in with a motherfucking pineapple. You feel me? You know what I mean? Like I got to do a lot of shit in order to get a good bushel of berries. You know what I mean? When a cherry's just sitting right there, you feel me? And I understand like there's a pit. But we're adults.
Starting point is 00:46:00 It's not that hard. People are like, it's too much work. Too much work? How old are you? Bite into the cherry softly and spit the fucking pit out. I do that without even thinking. because I am an adult. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:46:15 It's not that big of a deal. You are an adult who buys this fruit at Target, God damn it. And your opinions will be respected. I don't buy my shit at Target. But I could get a good bag of strawberry or cherries for fucking Target if I wanted to. That's the point. Well, now that the Target fruit aisle opinion has been delivered, allow me to rebut.
Starting point is 00:46:38 Go ahead. Go ahead. The floor is yours. we have a dissenting opinion. If you lived in fucking Oklahoma or whatever, okay, you live in L.A., bro, there's strawberry. I mean, I live in Long Beach. Maybe it's different in L.A.,
Starting point is 00:46:52 but in Long Beach, just strawberry stands all summer on like every fucking corner in this shit. You get a little discount card. The old lady gives you. So every five bushels of strawberries you buy, you get one free. You're privileged, Mike. You're privileged. We don't have that where I'm in.
Starting point is 00:47:08 That is fucking false. There is no way. I know we have fans at L.A. No, there's no strawberry stands all over SoCal. Although in L.A. there's a fruit stand where you can get the mixed fruit with the little seasoning and all that shit. And they'll have peanuts. They might have watermelon for sale. They'll have oranges.
Starting point is 00:47:26 They don't have strawberries for sale. They might even have cherries. I've never seen. I'm not talking about the man. I'm talking about a stand. It's a stand that gets built up. It's a chain of them in Southern California even. The last time I've seen that and I'm, what's up, Benny?
Starting point is 00:47:39 the last time I've seen that was like driving out outside of Atlanta. Like in a very country, in country cities. In supper cities or summer states. That's the last time I've seen strawberry stand. I don't see them here. My point about a strawberry stand is because I understand what you're saying about the ratio. And I don't disagree.
Starting point is 00:48:02 And that was why Sharre agreed with you because she's always felt that way about strawberries. You go buy the shit at fucking Ralphs or whatever. And a third of it. it is really good, a third of it is bad, and the middle third is not what you were, you know, not what was paying for. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? But if you just go buy them from the actual farmers that fucking pick the strawberries, which is accessible to people who live in real cities, like the ratio is completely
Starting point is 00:48:26 different. It's three quarters the really good strawberries. None of the bad ones and a quarter of them that are just the mid. It's just the, just the texture that I'm enjoying or whatever. And to me, you said, the peak is such that the argument you're making is it's just it's not it's a I agree with you that cherries are underrated I absolutely agree with you about that I'll take that but I have a weight class issue with your argument cherries are just not in the this is like oh black widow's my favorite
Starting point is 00:48:54 superhero so I think she could beat Thanos it's just a weight class issue bro have you had reneer cherries are different of course I have reneer cherries we don't talk about that any city in America you could go buy a strawberry banana smoothie it's no cherry fucking banana shit ubiquitously throughout our culture, bro? Of the propaganda. The propaganda is consumer command for the superior truth. The man don't want us to eat strawberries, okay? I'm trying to free you
Starting point is 00:49:21 from the man's clutches. You feel me? Hey, we need to get Jackson to chime in on this, man. How big a Renee a cherry in Washington? In Washington. So, cherries in Seattle is a huge deal. Talk about strawberry stands. There are cherry stands fucking everywhere in Seattle, at least where I'm from. I bet that's a religious experience. Oh, those are amazing.
Starting point is 00:49:41 Those are absolutely amazing. But you know what? Strawberry's a better fruit. Wow. Wow. Okay, that's cool. But I'm going to say this. I'm going to say this.
Starting point is 00:49:48 We're near cherries. The way, this is how. Hold on. Let's hear more from Jackson. You were right. You should hear more from Jackson. Yes. Strawberry is a bad.
Starting point is 00:49:55 Hey, Jackson. Hey, tap back in. I agree with Mike about strawberries and that if you, I guess I agree with everyone. That if you, if you're going to routes, you hit or miss. But maybe. That's true of fruit generally to me.
Starting point is 00:50:09 I agree. I'm not seeing the individual strawberry stands that Mike is describing, but there are hundreds of farmers markets in Los Angeles. That's the fact. You can walk down. There's more farmers markets than fucking bars in Los Angeles. You can go anywhere in the city and go to a farmers market and get an exceptional bushel of strawberries.
Starting point is 00:50:30 I'm going to try that. I'm going to test that theory because when he was saying, I was thinking like, we do have farmers markets. So I'm going to try that. Give me a nice bushel. But I'm going to see. If 75% that kind of changes it. But for the most part, I mean, and, bro, like, this is a hard truth to come.
Starting point is 00:50:45 Like, I fought with myself for years. I've been buying strawberry, strawberry, strawberries. This summer was the first summer. I'm like, I'm going to quit playing with myself, man. Let me get fuck with these cherries. And I've been banging them. But I think Renier cherries are so good. Where they're on the, like, there's a, there's very, like, there's like the God tier type fruit, right?
Starting point is 00:51:07 And I'll say maybe cherries and strawberries are close, but maybe strawberries the best are in another level. But it's close. It's close to me. But Reneer cherries are up there with like mango steams. Like the best of the best fruit. You know what I mean? So I think that kind of balances out a little bit.
Starting point is 00:51:25 You know what I mean? But yeah, there aren't too many up there with it. It's going to be good every time you have them. You know what I mean? And I think only available in most cities, most cities like two weeks a month. So. You know what?
Starting point is 00:51:38 I ate a lot of this summer was nectarines. I became a huge stone fruit guy this summer. I actually tap in with nexerines. Yeah. Go ahead. Go ahead. Cherry plums every summer? Bro.
Starting point is 00:51:50 Y'all got to fuck with them. It's like my favorite fruit on the planet. And it's only like a two, three week window for him at trader shows every summer. They're so fucking. Yeah, I missed a window. Because I was, you were talking about them earlier this summer and I was looking. I didn't really see them. And I would say that is one major cultural advantage of California is because so much
Starting point is 00:52:06 fruit gets grown here and because so much shit gets shipped into the ports in Long Beach in LA, you could pretty much get whatever you want produce wise year round. When Shar's brother moved from Southern California to New York, that was one of the first things he texted her. He was like, you can only get fruit here half that like certain fruits like two months, three months, six months out of the year. California, when our orange season is done, we get oranges from Brazil. You know what I mean? Like so you just, it's like you're so close to that shipping route or whatever, you just get whatever year round. And we're for sure fucking spoiled.
Starting point is 00:52:40 And I definitely don't take enough advantage of that. I don't do that with mangoes or watermelon, no. I'm a stickler. You know what I mean? I rather got me on the mangoes where like mangoes in the summer are just way better. And that's a fact, bro. If I'm buying the mangoes in October, they ain't going to hate the same. And just watermelon being a country nigger, man.
Starting point is 00:52:56 I just say, I don't even know if watermelon tastes good in November. You know what I just refuse to try. You know what I'm saying? Like, we all want that motherfucker in the summer. That's what I want me some watermelon. you feel of me so I feel about watermelon the way you were describing feeling about cherry like like if you don't get a good
Starting point is 00:53:13 although I would not not what the percentages but if you don't get a good watermelon it's like the saddest shit in the fucking world to me Shardeshire inherited a watermelon selection technique from her dad you can miss you got to tap that motherfucker got to get that that's what she'll be in there like playing the bongos in the fucking watermelon section she's always right though
Starting point is 00:53:30 but when I have to pick the shit out it's hit him you want one with the yellow a fellow spot on the bottom, too, bro. You want that motherfuck that been sitting there. You know what I'm saying? So you got to tap with it too.
Starting point is 00:53:43 But yeah, man, like that, that's a, that was a scary game I was playing for a while before I, like, got kind of hip to the shit. You feel me? Yeah. But yeah. But you know what fruit that I think is overrated
Starting point is 00:53:52 that just talked about so much? It's a good fruit, but it's not as good as people make it. Apple. Bananas. Apple. Bananas. Bananas, I, I, I, I had to learn to like bananas.
Starting point is 00:54:03 Like, I, because I remember we would eat, like, yeah, apples. to me apples, it's like, they're a good fruit, but they're not a peak fruit at all. They're just a mass consumed fruit. They're just readily accessible. You know what I mean? It's easy to grow. I think
Starting point is 00:54:18 oranges are way better than apples. Oranges are better than apples, but apple juice is better than orange juice. Honey crisp apples are exceptional. No, no, no. They're good. They're good. Amazing. There is no exceptional apple. There is no
Starting point is 00:54:34 exceptional apple. And I think pink ladies are the best. That's my preference. And Honeycris are good. Honeycris are good, but I love a pink lady. But there's no exception. I've never been in an apple. And I'm like, this was exceptional.
Starting point is 00:54:47 I've never had that. I never had that. The person next to you. Like, oh, exactly. I'll eat a mango and be like, motherfucker. Take a bite of watermelon. God damn.
Starting point is 00:54:56 Maybe even a nice orange will be like, that motherfucker hit, you feel me? I've never been in an apple. I've never been like, God damn. And if a fruit don't make you say, God damn.
Starting point is 00:55:07 You know, if food don't, Nick, bread, I might eat wheat bread and bite them motherfucker. God damn, that's some good ass bread. I've never done that with an apple. If it don't make you say,
Starting point is 00:55:16 God damn, it ain't passed a test, baby. You know what I'm saying? I feel like apples are fighting an unwinnable uphill battle from how disgusting red delicious apples were in those where all we had as kids. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:55:26 Like, I feel like every, you know, all these new hybrid apples that have popped up the last 10, 15 years or so. It's like you always got the frame of reference with like a red delicious where that's always in the back your mind. Like, you know, this has got to be better than those trash-ass red delicious apples.
Starting point is 00:55:39 And yeah, they always are, but it's still like, it's good, but it still kind of reminds me of a trash-ass red delicious apple. You know what I'm saying? I feel like that's something, that's a hurdle that you'll never get past eating an apple. What's it called? Red delicious. Fruit propaganda. It's a marketing. Agreed. You feel me? You feel me? Red delicious. And it was nothing delicious about that motherfucker. Okay. These motherfuckers taste like chalk and perfume, bro. They are a disgusting fucking apple. It tastes like breathing granny's house air.
Starting point is 00:56:10 You know what I mean? I'm cool, though, that. That white diamonds-ass fucking fuck that shit, bro. That shit is trash, dog. But no, there's some good apples. Good, good apples. I would never, I just, I've never had a stellar exceptional apple. Never.
Starting point is 00:56:28 Maybe that's on me. I need, I mean, you know what I'm saying? I've had a, a, a, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead. You guys have me turn around. I'm excited to try, like, the fried green tomatoes and shit. You guys have me turn around on tomatoes. I felt about apples the way I feel about tomatoes, which is I don't really fuck with them by themselves, but every time someone processes them into something else, it's tremendous.
Starting point is 00:56:47 You know, I love apple sauce, love apple juice, ketchup. Yeah. Obviously, tomato soup, I love, I really everything that comes out of a tomato except the tomato. Let's be honest, man. Soups are good. I used to clown a good soup. You know, I'm out.
Starting point is 00:57:03 I need a stew. I need meat. I want something with a, hey, a good tomato soup slaps, bro. You feel me? Grill chicken. What was supposed to be some grilled cheese and you dip that motherfucker in it? I, I knew. I knew, girl.
Starting point is 00:57:15 And that was a $2.50 dinner of choice one day a week for the first 35 years of my life, bro. I used to clown motherfuckers like, you drink in flavored water? Why would I want that? You know, I mean, I would look at motherfuckers eating soup for lunch. Like, what? Hey, a suit? sometimes a soup hit the spot, bro. A soup will make you say, God damn, some days, bro.
Starting point is 00:57:36 Well, we get a little deeper into fall. We might need to do a soup episode. But speaking of soups, we need to talk about John's. Soup, soup episode for fall, stew for winter. I know, Tyler, you probably got some crazy stews going on. Tyler, I told you, I told you, I'm, yeah, I'm stepping into being a crock pot guy for this autumn. Me too. Hey, hey, crock pot chronicles.
Starting point is 00:57:59 we might need to get that goddamn second. I'm literally, after we're done with the show, opening up the fucking crock-bock cookbook we have to pick out what I'm making for crock-pot night this week. My home girl used to make, use the crock pot to make a chicken pot pie homemade. Nigger. I am intrigued.
Starting point is 00:58:19 Hey, man. Hey, we need, I'm going to get the recipe from it. We're going to tap in with that. Before we get out of here, speaking of soups and stews, we do need to talk about John. Saturday nights with Somies. It was so me.
Starting point is 00:58:34 The sweetest baby in the world put our boy through the fucking ringer on Saturday night. And now before this gets turned into more anti-baby propaganda, let me put out there that my wife and I left our two children with her mother on Saturday night and had a lovely date night out. So it does get better, my friend. I don't want to be anti-baby. I'm not anti-baby. I want another one of these motherfuckers.
Starting point is 00:58:59 Maybe a few more, you feel me? But definitely at least another one, you know what I mean? And Somi is so much fun. I have a ball with her. We go to swim practice. We'd be fucking laughing. She'd be high-fiving now. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:59:12 I have a ball. That's my nigger. She my nigger, you feel me? She didn't say, my mom for like seven days. You know what I mean? Like me and her be having fun, you feel me? But, dog, she beat my. And this happens.
Starting point is 00:59:24 It's happened. So I want to, I'm not anti-baby. It's part of the relationship. This part of the relationship. You know, she looks at her. to me like, what the fuck wrong with you? Anyway, but so, so anyway, Saturday night, Saturday night, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:59:36 Great night. Jackson invited us out to this, to his home girls, art showing. We went to that shit, you know, before that we took her to fucking highly likely. We had her to have some brunch. She was kicking it. A motherfucker said she's a cutest baby in the world. I agree, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:59:52 But I am also biased, but that's what they said, you know, because she is sweet. So, you know, we had a ball. Great day. Get home, you know. I guess, you know, she was a little tired. She had a long day, you know. Gets into the fucking high chair,
Starting point is 01:00:04 fucks it up. She's not just not eating her food. She's eating it, spitting it out, then putting it back in her mouth. It's a fucking mess. Everything's ruined. I'm like, goddamn, I got to clean all this shit up. You know, that's my deal.
Starting point is 01:00:16 The cooking, usually dinner, and then bathing her, and then Rother puts her to sleep because, you know, she don't fight right at all. She's with me, she wants to play. I'm the unserious parent. Right. So anyway, I take her to the bath.
Starting point is 01:00:28 me bathing. I like to let her sit in the water a little bit because she loves water. Let her play a little bit. I've always wondered could something happen do to me allowing her to sit without that diaper for a long time? And it happened last night. She shit while in the fucking tub. She leans back. Legs in the air. Eating like playing with this little play ball she's using. And I hear like just like big. I mean, just juice and liquid. And also. more solid than I'd like. And I go, God damn. You know?
Starting point is 01:01:04 You feel me? Shit in the tub. Rather grabs her. She rather, I'm like, fuck. You know what I'm like? Anyway, rather grabs her, tries to, she brings her to the shower to wipe her down. She's like rather laughing. She's taking a real light, you know.
Starting point is 01:01:20 She's much better at this than I am. But in these situations. So anyway, she's been shit on like four times. She learned through the fire. So she's shit So she starts shitting in the fucking shower Start shitting in the shower
Starting point is 01:01:32 All this like Hey can you bring me to Clorox On some like Wild laughing Like what you needed for She's shit in the shower too And here comes a baby right now Yeah we talk about you
Starting point is 01:01:41 Shaw She looking at it It was crazy I wish you could see her face What's crazy is When she first shit She looked at I look at I'm like
Starting point is 01:01:51 What the fuck wrong with you? I'm like oh shit God damn She's looking me like Nigger what the fuck wrong with you You knew what you did When you had me You brought me in this
Starting point is 01:01:57 Come with you Clean my ass, motherfucker. You feel me? But anyway, while people are having normal Saturdays, I was cleaning up shit, okay, from the tub and the shower and off our bodies. Because that's what happens as well. You know what I mean? So I hope you enjoyed your Saturday.
Starting point is 01:02:15 I did eventually, not quite as much as Mike or Tyler. Shit. God damn, man. Those are the fires in which the bonds are, forged though. That's what they say, but fuck it. What's wild is?
Starting point is 01:02:32 I occasionally have those moments with my kids looking at them where I remember them throwing up on me or whatever and I just start smiling. You know what I mean? It's just like a funny, horrible thing that happened in the past. What's funny is I wanted to be like
Starting point is 01:02:45 have kids, they say. Like people don't tell you the other side. No, they tell you the other side. We still have them. It's not like we didn't know we were going to get shit and pissed on and she were going to jump us. We all knew it.
Starting point is 01:02:57 And we still have kids. And that's what's crazy. So I couldn't complain on Twitter like I wanted to. Because I decided to, I asked her to jump me. I wanted her to be born. She could shit in the tub. And I'd have to clean it on Saturday nights. I asked for all of this.
Starting point is 01:03:14 All right. That's all the time we got for this week. We'll be back Thursday with another episode, including our House of Dragons run through and all that good shit. And maybe John don't get pooped on between now and then. You never know. Pray me, I don't. I've had enough
Starting point is 01:03:29 No. Bye. All right, y'all. Bye. Bye.
