Starting point is 00:00:49 or text next step to 533442. Welcome to Jenkinson Jones on the Volume Podcast Network. It is Thursday, October 27th. And we're recording at the ass crack of dawn because we love our friend John so much. As always, Jenkins and Jones. That was a legitimate apology. I didn't even mean to hit it like that. But as always, Jenkins and Jones hosted by my good friends, Legerthro Jenkins,
Starting point is 00:01:28 aka John, aka Young Sunrise. Wasam Bubba, that's something buzzing through that door. You see me? Dragonfly Jones, aka Tyler. I was gorgeous for like four seconds, nigga. Hey, everybody. I'm Garty B.
Starting point is 00:01:47 A.k.a. Obi-1. Canobi. A.k.a. A.k.a.a. A.k.a.a. Thanks to our producer Adam for that. Greatly appreciated. Before we get going with today's pod, 2000, 2008, 2022. When it comes to the economy, those are some scary years.
Starting point is 00:02:04 Dot com, crash, housing crash, and the roller coaster we're going through right now. now. One thing is certain it's a dangerous time to not know your numbers. But over 31,000 businesses have the confidence and clarity they need because they rely on NetSuite by Oracle, the number one cloud financial system. I run a small nonprofit here in Long Beach and obviously being organized and having all of our data in place has been enormously helpful to us, which is what I love about NetSuite. NetSuite gives you visibility and control of your financials, inventory, HR planning and budgeting so you can manage risk, get reliable forecasts, and improve margins,
Starting point is 00:02:42 everything you need all in one place. How do you prepare for uncertain times? The answer is NetSuite. NetSuite helps you identify rising costs, automate your business processes, and easily see where to save money. That's why 93% of customers say they improve their visibility and control when they upgraded to NetSuite. So what are you waiting for?
Starting point is 00:03:01 Right now, NetSuite is offering a one-of-a-kind flexible financing program head to NetSuite dot com slash j nj right now that's netflict net suite dot com slash j nj net suite dot com slash j and dj all right let's talk some basketball last night uh i was a little surprised by this y'all were both pretty down on the suns uh when we did our little NBA preview and uh off to a very nice start to the season very much in the warriors heads last night beat them uh great game from booker obviously what did you guys think of that game and are you surprised by the sun's result or is this kind of what you expected that they'd have a strong regular season start and and not have it get them anywhere um yeah you know i'm not surprised at the i'm not surprised that the sons are good you know what i mean
Starting point is 00:03:55 i just i'm just i'm just skeptical on if that if they're going to do anything in the playoffs like you know what i mean like like i don't know i'm just you know chris paul has been struggling with the field goal percentage he's not shooting great he's still swinging that motherfucker i think he's averaging like 11 assists so far, but, you know, I think his old ass will figure it out. But yeah, I mean, I'm not like, like, I wasn't like, yo, this is a playing team or anything. You know, I expect them to be maybe a top four seed. So this wasn't too surprising. I think we had them in the sixth seed or some shit. You know what I mean? Like, I didn't think they'd have the best regular season because I thought a lot of people looked better. But I mean,
Starting point is 00:04:31 bro, we were just wrong. Like, I think that's what it was. I just feel like, you know, I mean, I don't think Chris Paul, based upon his postseason, would be that good this year. You know, I thought we'd start to see the decline. You know what I mean? He wouldn't be the God we've seen over the last, what, almost 20 years we watched Chris Paul. That's what it feels like. You know what I mean? So I thought they'd struggle.
Starting point is 00:04:53 I was wrong. There's been a number of things I was wrong about, too. I thought, um, this season so far. Well, we'll talk about the one I was wrong. It's about next. But I will say, I definitely thought there was going to be more, you know, we talked about this shit with Aiton in the off season. And I thought it was going to just look a little clunkier.
Starting point is 00:05:08 You know what I mean? They don't look like they have any kind of chemistry or hangover from any of that shit, at least just from what I saw last night. So we'll see. I mean, game one, Chris Paul, like, did, he wasn't even in the fourth. He had a horrible fucking game. And they set his ass in the big minutes, you know what I'm saying? So I thought that was what we're going to be seeing a lot of this year.
Starting point is 00:05:28 You know what I mean? Dead wrong. And I'm happy for him, too. I mean, I'll fuck a Booker. You know, I like seeing him talk his shit. you know what I'm saying swing it's nuts all over the court you know what I mean yeah for sure fun to watch the team I was wrongest about was the Los Angeles Clippers and if you've been listening to this show you know that I'm not usually someone who
Starting point is 00:05:46 overestimates the clippers but I really thought they were going to be I thought they were going to be the dragon this year you know what I mean I thought by the end of the regular season everyone was going to be like oh the fucking Clippers Paul George off to a nice start but Hawaii sitting with knee issues in game four they lose to the 3 Thunder to give the Thunder their first win. I think SGA had like 33 points. It was a comfortable win. I think the Clippers scored 90.
Starting point is 00:06:13 They have been the second worst offensive rating team in the NBA above only the Los Angeles Lakers, which is not a team you would like to be compared to at this juncture. What do we think about the Clippers? What's going on? Are they just clippering or are we wrong for having expectations for the Clippers? Yes. Are we wrong for believing in the clippers? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:06:39 You know, it's so early in the season. And like I said, I'm not counting any Tailu team. We saw the magic he worked last season without, you know, Kauai. So, you know, I'm not going to over-exaggerate too much because, like I said, you know, the captain's steering that ship is one of the best in the business. So we'll see. I think, like, we'll see the Kauai we know and love closer to the All-Star break, maybe around Christmas, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:06:59 So I think Desson will know what the fuck they really are, you know? And even though PG's starting all great, you know what I mean, people got to get used to playing with PG. You know what I mean? People got to get used to coming off the bench. They haven't come off the bench. They haven't come off the bench last year. You know what I mean? So I think it's just people getting used to their roles figuring out how they fit into a deep, deep lineup.
Starting point is 00:07:20 You can't ignore that lineup. They're like eight deep off the bench. And yet I agree with you because I, yeah, I know. But I agreed with you about the depth of the team being one of their biggest advantages. is. And if you'd have told me that a week and a half into the season, look at the Pacific division. The Warriors are scoring 120 a game. Makes sense. Sons are scoring 116 a game. Makes sense. The Kings are scoring 114 a game. The Lakers are scoring 104 a game. And the Clippers are scoring a hundred a game. That surprises the fuck out of me, given the depth of that roster
Starting point is 00:07:56 and the fact that I thought they were coming into the season healthy. I mean, I thought that was the storyline for them. I mean, like, Kauai, he's, you know, he has to get back and, like, he looks like a bodybuilder. We talked about that. You know what I mean? He's not in basketball. He's in good shape for a me, not in good shape for a fucking hooper, bro. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:08:15 Like, so, you know, like, I just feel like we got to, we got to give them a little time. I think we'll see who they really are closer to Christmas. You know, I think we'll see, and we'll see the real Kauai, you know, around that time or around an all-star break. He got to get, he got to get his feel back. This motherfucker looking like Mr. Roboto, you feel me? More than normal. Well, I would say this.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Shout out to Kauai for going on the Clippers, which is one of the only NBA landing spots he could have gone to where he is not being ripped the fuck apart for the injury history and the slowness to come back from injury because he was playing for the Celtics, if he was playing for the Lakers, if he was playing for the fucking kings. You know what I mean? People will be up his ass about that shit.
Starting point is 00:08:56 Like, I think it was Shannon Sharp said it yesterday, but it's like you can't watch any NBA coverage without hearing some Mr. Glass shit about Anthony Davis who has played like three times as many games with the Lakers as Kauai has played with the Clippers at this point. So I don't know. I don't really have anything more to say about that. I'm a Kauai fan. I am hoping he comes back to form, but it is a little bit crazy to me the way that the narratives run. Miss a full season comeback and now you only play two of the first four games? Like, my nigger. Are you a basketball player at that point?
Starting point is 00:09:32 You know what I mean? Are you just a fan? You're like, you know what I mean? It's just crazy. But it might be what... It might be what we talked about, that it's like the rational human reaction to getting a bunch of money
Starting point is 00:09:42 is not to start working harder. You know what I mean? That's not what I would do. I have shit I dreamed about being, but if you gave me $100 million, I'm not trying to beat my PR every day. You know what I mean? Anyway, all right.
Starting point is 00:09:59 I think of why different. But I agree with you. I agree, but the results are playing out a different way than what my impression was. It's hard to deny that at this point. All right. We're not going to talk about the Kanye shit, y'all, for a variety of reasons. If you listen to this show, you obviously know we're fucking anti-antyemitism. Yes, and I feel like the biggest reason is motherfucker Kanye.
Starting point is 00:10:24 I would like to go on record saying that. You quote me on that. He can go to hell. Just to spell that out. I mean, we haven't talked about, like, this whole media tour he's on opened with him announcing as though it was like a press release that he's off his meds for being bipolar. And so we've not been talking about any of this shit
Starting point is 00:10:44 and we're going to continue to not talk about it. But he's been off his meds for years, though. He said his being bipolar was his superpower. You know what I mean? Which, by the way, if you've ever loved anyone or known anyone who's bipolar, is the most bipolar fucking shit you've ever heard in your life to say that being bipolar is your superpower.
Starting point is 00:11:06 But yes. Fuzz show. We do need to talk about because this was the one enjoyable text that got sent to the group chat last night. Apparently, the one thing I have learned that I didn't know before all this shit went down
Starting point is 00:11:22 was it apparently the president of Donda's sports. Antonio Brown? How in the fuck? How in the fuck? Like we, okay, so we found out yesterday that Jalen Brown and Aaron Donald left Donda Sports. I think most of us knew that, right? But when I saw fucking A-B press up that fucking press release, basically, you know,
Starting point is 00:11:49 saying that he was sticking by Kaya and all that. And then he said, you know, signed off president of Donda Sports. You know, A-B's a clown. You know what I'm saying? Like, he's a fucking Photoshop. meamer dude, right? Like, I went and Googled because I legit thought this man was trolling us, but no, he's not.
Starting point is 00:12:05 That is the president of Dodda's Sports Agency. The man who has been waging a meme war on the most accomplished football player of all time about how he wants to sleep with his wife is the president of a fucking sports agency that had perhaps the best football player in the
Starting point is 00:12:21 world and Jalen Brown on it. Like what in the fuck? How did that fly under the radar, bro? Mr. Put that shit on. bro. I mean, that's what happens when you think being bipolar is your fucking superpower, bro. You know what I mean? Like, nigger, a sick person does sick things. You know what I mean? Like, so, I mean, I don't even think that's, I think it's shocking that it went under the under the radar, you know what I'm saying? If people still tapped in, even though knowing that,
Starting point is 00:12:49 I think all this is shocking being that we know how sick this motherfucker is, man. You know what I'm saying, though? But I don't think that decision itself is that shocking coming from that person, me what's shocking to me is Aaron Donald is like he's going to go down as one of if not the greatest defensive player in NFL history and I understand Ever. Yeah I understand if there's a guy who's
Starting point is 00:13:10 big enough to have any kind of bullshit just not matter it would be Aaron Donald but I was surprised as fuck I didn't know Aaron Donald was rep by Donna. I didn't know that until yesterday either so Jalen Brown I can kind of see that that
Starting point is 00:13:25 Jayla Jaylon Brown's been kind of disappointing me as we lay, dog. Yeah. He's been on the wrong side of a few things, and I've been like, damn, Jaylon. Bro, like, you know, Jaylon, Jalen, like, he was known for being super fucking smart. He is super fucking smart. He's smart. Not taking that from one.
Starting point is 00:13:43 Like, it was legit a concern on his scouting port that this kid is so intelligent. We're not sure if basketball is in the long-term playing's room, right? Like, this is a dude who turned down a fucking NASA, fucking internship after his freshman year. This is a dude who took so many college level courses. He was in master's level courses as a freshman at Berkeley. You know what I mean? Like super fucking smart dude. He's an MIT fellow.
Starting point is 00:14:06 He wasn't at Grand Canyon University. He was at Berkeley. Right, right, right, right. And this motherfucker signed with the agency with Antonio Brown as the president. Right. Dog, I cannot believe that shit. Maybe he's just bored. You know those people that are really smart and just choose a contrarian route because
Starting point is 00:14:24 they're just bored at always being right? You know what I mean? You've got those people like that? You know what I'm saying? You're describing, you ain't no motherfucking J.B. You're describing my exact reaction to Kyrie Irving's flat. You know what I mean? This is a dude.
Starting point is 00:14:38 Kyrie went to Duke, but that ain't, that ain't a nigger. I ain't going to say that. But Kyrie went to Duke. All right? He wouldn't have gone if he wasn't a Hooper. Jaylen Brown could have went anywhere he wanted to go regardless. They're two different niggas. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:14:53 And I mean, he's been on some odd end. of certain arguments. And I'm how I know. Like he might be that contrarian smart. Maybe he's going through that phase at this point in his life. But he's on that third. He's on the, he might not be on page 37 of the YouTube search,
Starting point is 00:15:08 but he's at least in the teams. Yeah, yeah. He's at least on page 17 of that motherfucker. And headed in the wrong direction. I'll join you soon after I get in a couple more of these 100 mile run docks. Read a more, watch a little more liverkey. I'll be there with you, J.B.
Starting point is 00:15:26 wait on me liver king jenkins is gonna be my favorite era ever I unabashedly you know that niggies roided up bro
Starting point is 00:15:36 my what he's not the liver king I thought it was the liver is nothing sacred right
Starting point is 00:15:48 all right let's talk about armpit fucking Oh wow Wow I want to say this though I was dead wrong about the Pills
Starting point is 00:16:02 I was dead wrong about the Pels Let's get in the armpit fucking I just wanted to say that You were wrong about the what Wrong about the Pels I thought they'd be fucking six or seventh in the West Bro they're legit good They're just not fun but go ahead
Starting point is 00:16:14 You just wanted to toss that in I just want to toss that in there before we get way off That Brandon Engrow Let me tell you Boy I fucking over the My Pelican's opinion, pretty tough. Before we jump right off the fucking deep end, dog, you know what I mean? I thought, I know me and Mike were high on them.
Starting point is 00:16:33 You weren't on board with the, with the- No, I thought that were going to be fun. I don't know. I think we had them on, I think we had them in the bottom half of the West. I think, I know I for sure pushed back on them B. I was like, yo, this is like a top four seed. I think Mike was with me on that too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:48 I don't know, man. Run the tape. Run the tape, Jackson. Run the tape. Roll that beautiful bean footage. But back to armpit. I remember none of that shit. Back to armpit.

Starting point is 00:18:48 I've done some research An urban dictionary search for the word bagpiping reveals the following Bagpiping Favorite sexual activity of many students at BYU as a way to skirt the Honor Code which forbids sex Example
Starting point is 00:19:06 Mike believes the allergic reaction on his penis was from Valerie's deodorant that must have got on there while he was bagpiping her Friday night it doesn't have to be this way man it doesn't what happened to the rebellious spirit of the youth why aren't y'all just flat out fucking man
Starting point is 00:19:26 I promise you no one cares bro not even fucking bring them young or whoever to fuck you think jesus looking down from heaven seeing you fucking an armpit that's not even what that shit is made for nigga you misusing the body like a motherfucker that is the peak of desperation nigga, you were fucking an armpit.

Starting point is 00:20:01 Hold on. Norman Jesus is not looking down from heaven at you having sex with an armpit, crossing his arms, nodding, and going, mm. You got me. The technicality, the workaround. They get up. Right.
Starting point is 00:20:13 They're doing, my children are doing it the right. way. Nigga, bro. Like, dog, I would just don't fuck. You know what I'm saying? Like, no, not all sex is good sex,
Starting point is 00:20:24 apparently. You know what I'm saying? Shit. I'd rather not be having sex, bro, than fucking an armpit. Nicka, can you imagine you in a room with a chick after a date?
Starting point is 00:20:35 And she offers you her fucking armpit. She rolls her sleeve. Put her hand under there and gives it a couple little armpits. You grab her by the shoulders instead of the cheeks and give her back shots through her fucking armpit. Nigger, you are disgusting.
Starting point is 00:20:53 What type of fucking, you, that, nigga, humans are doing this shit? It is wild. Nica, that's the most depraved shit I've ever heard in my life. Can you imagine your kid comes home with armpit crabs? Arm pit crabs? I don't, hey, bro, I don't, nigga, the fuck? Hey, you know what we were, you know, like during the first year of the pandemic when if you were out, like, even if you were just on a walk, you were like super self-conscious about not coughing, even if you just had like a tickle in your throat and you just were like, if I cough right now, everyone's going to be looking at me, that's if you're sitting in a lecture hall at BYU and you just need to scratch your armpit. You know what I mean? Everyone's in there just kind of popular. They said it was the cool thing to do, bro. It's the wave. Bro.
Starting point is 00:21:42 If this ain't the most anti-Mormon ad or anti-religious shit I ever heard, nigga, I don't know how a kid is like, I want to be that, nigga. Bro, they over their fucking armpits, digger, keep me away from that shit, dog. Dang, that is, whoa, does it get worse than that? You pull up to your date with a condom in one pocket and wet wipes to make sure you get all the deodorant off her armpit in the other pocket. bro that'd be so funny she offers her armpit do you have a condom
Starting point is 00:22:13 you know what I mean safety first nigger it's an armpit what the fuck put KY out and slap it under your arm that's disgusting listen we're a pro they're fucking armpits at BYU you rather fucking armpits
Starting point is 00:22:32 armpit craps it's an embarrassment Breaking news. Breaking news. I said, just bust it open on his play. Just fucking fuck. I mean, come on. Bust the pussy open, you weird, oh gosh.
Starting point is 00:22:58 Toot that thing up. Mama make it wrong. Come on. Yeah, I think when you're 20 years, old you would do just about anything to have sex but I in the words it was a meatloaf I won't do that
Starting point is 00:23:16 it's just you can't That was a banger Is that meatloaf? I don't know what I remember that song was a banger Yeah, I won't do that And it's true That's what it's where the line The line for me is the line
Starting point is 00:23:31 Between your arm and your body The line for me is like 17 steps before that The fuck? Where did it? You know what I mean? Bro, if I, listen, I'm gonna be, I'm gonna keep it a stack with you. If I walked into a room late at night, I'm in college.
Starting point is 00:23:49 We're grown at this point. We're doing grown people. I mean, we ain't all the way grown. Obviously, I was. And I was on some dumb shit. But, you know what I mean? We doing grown people things. And a motherfucker off a day hand.
Starting point is 00:23:59 I'm a holler at you. Nigger, I can buy alcohol, nigga. What the fuck am I doing with that? You know what I mean? Nick, I bring a condom for that. You know what I mean? Yo, have a good night. Wish you the best.
Starting point is 00:24:13 You know what I mean? And what does she size? Her arm. Hopefully I'll see her hand under her shirt. Gives you a couple armpit farts. Hey, man. Hey, if she did that,
Starting point is 00:24:22 I would, Hey, hey, bro, I might, we can be friends. We can be friends. But, dog,
Starting point is 00:24:28 I don't even want, nigga, like, what are we here? What are we here for? You know what I mean? Like, I'm not,
Starting point is 00:24:33 I'm not, I'm not playing with none of that shit, bro. That's weird. That is, that is, dog if you went to a room and somebody just offered you your hand at 21
Starting point is 00:24:41 this is an armpit like the hand would have been weird I would have talked to my homies like niggins she tried to give me a hand job it's fucking 2004 we're really doing this still I didn't come to college for hand jobs these motherfuckers are getting armpit fuck the fuck
Starting point is 00:25:00 oh my God anyway um I did y'all know um did you know the dude you things who sung that any thank for love song meatloaf? Did y'all know that he was an anti-vaxxer and he repurposed that into like an anti-vax anthem and then Corona took that as a challenge and no.
Starting point is 00:25:17 No. Did y'all know that? No. Meatloaf? Yes. Yes. So he did I won't do anything for love? He repurposed that song?
Starting point is 00:25:26 Yes. Yeah. He repurposed it as kind of like a little. Please. How did this song go? You know, that's shit we were just talking about. I would do anything for love, but I won't do that. That, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:33 But he won't get. He did. Yeah. And then Corona took it as the Michael Jordan on his laptop. I took that personally. And yeah. Corona ended with the Scooby-Doo. Right.
Starting point is 00:25:50 Were you Scooby? Won't get maxed? Shit. Yeah. Interesting little tidbit there. Drop the triple double on that nigga. Liver King on steroids and meatloaf is not a leading. scientific mind in our community. This is a tough morning for me, bro.
Starting point is 00:26:09 Crazy, man. I wasn't ready to receive this news this early in the morning. All right, this kind of ties in with the BYU shit a little bit. It's, uh, and let me start by saying this. You guys both know, I'm a boring individual. I don't drink, don't do any drugs of note outside of ibuprofen or whatever the fuck. So all the shit. What's funny is I do drugs, but I'm scared of ibuprofen. You're scared of ibuprofen? I don't like those drugs, but I smoke tree. You know what I mean? If I'm sick, I'll smoke some tree.
Starting point is 00:26:39 I don't like taking Advil under that shit for whatever reason. It's weird. Makes no sense. It is currently Red Ribbon Week at my kids elementary school. Did you guys have Red Ribbon Week? No, what's that? No, what's that? It's like an anti-drug thing.
Starting point is 00:26:53 It's like I choose to be drug-free thing. We all had Dare assemblies, though, right? Yeah, we had Dare. Yeah. Okay. I say this as someone who, you know, I guess the shit worked on or whatever. But I do feel like, like my kids came home from school with the red women thing and their first question is like, Dad, what are drugs?
Starting point is 00:27:13 It's so stupid, bro. It's so stupid. It's so stupid, though. I was not thinking about tree when I was going to the dare. Why is in first grade, bro? I was in third grade. They're talking about dare to be different. I'm like, nigger, different from what?
Starting point is 00:27:29 Don't nobody do no fucking weed here, bro? We ain't smoking tree in third grade. Niggin. We're learning our times tables, bro. We're having, playing around the world and shit, nigga the fuck. Dare was so not rooted in reality. Like, the whole premise is we have to prepare you for these drug dealers who are going to be offering you free drugs throughout your whole life.
Starting point is 00:27:48 Where the fuck are those drug dealers at? Right. Like, motherfuckers are so on the corner like, hey, you want some free crack? That doesn't, it's not how that shit ever worked, bro. Right? I mean, first of all, it's a business. And a lot of these dudes are really good businessmen. You feel me?
Starting point is 00:28:02 They're not giving away shit for free, you know, unless it's that addictive shit. They might hit you at the hair on and how you're stuck, Bubba. But I don't even know if I don't even know what that's going to happen that way. But it's just, it's just ridiculous, bro. You know what I'm saying? Like, you're actually educating me on drugs. And honestly, as ridiculous, like, at that age, it sounds really fun. You're telling me about a fucking hallucinage?
Starting point is 00:28:27 Like, bro, so I could be in, like, dude, that's like Disneyland. Maybe the way you describe fucking, you know what I mean? I mean, so that's what I wanted to bring up was like, I don't know about you guys, but for me, the DARE assemblies were very much reverse psychology. Like, I remember them talking about how impossible it was to get off of heroin if you got addicted to heroin. And I remember being in fourth grade sitting in the auditorium like, I bet I could get off of heroin. No, I never thought. That's shit, you wild and white. I bet it's not that addictive.
Starting point is 00:29:09 I don't know, man. But someone made the same point to me. He said, yeah, they were talking about, you know, a cop. And actually, we got the same story from the Long Beach cop who came to talk to our school. So it must just be in the dare package because this dude's from Northern California. But they're talking about, you know, some guys on PCP and they had to shoot him like 90 times or something to stop him from charging in him. And as a little kid, I remember hearing that like, wow. So PCP turns you into.
Starting point is 00:29:34 the Hulk. Right. Bro. All of the work that Dare ever did got like undone once rappers made it cool to smoke weed. Like I was like, you know, I was like, you know, I was like, yeah, you know, Dare told me weed was bad,
Starting point is 00:29:50 but, but Drey and Snoot, man, they said it's cool. I don't know. I think I'm rolling with Drey Snoot, bro. Also, they were very successful smoking weed, too. Like, you know what I mean? Like, they wasn't like they were that, that couch potato ass nigga that they would always show or whatever, but this is your brain.
Starting point is 00:30:04 drugs. Cracking heroin had me scared. When we got to that section of the crack and heron still had me scared. Oh, for show, bro. No parts of that. I think like shrooms I've thought about, that sounded fun. That still sounds fun. I'm just, I just don't. Like, I remember talking to a dude
Starting point is 00:30:22 about shrooms and he was like, don't, it's nothing to worry about, bro. The only thing to be fearful love is what's in here. And I'm like, bitch. Do you know what's in my brain? Right, right, right. I'm in therapy, nigga.
Starting point is 00:30:36 It's just your own brain, and it's like, yeah. It's my own brain, the scariest thing in the world. You feel me? Digger? And so I was like, that's why I've been, that was, they need to talk about that in dare. If they would say that, you're stuck in your own brain. Oh, for eight hours. God damn, nigga, like, all right, I'm cool on that.
Starting point is 00:30:57 You feel me? But yeah, like, yeah, man, but like weed and fucking shrooms. That always sounded fun when they described that shit. It's tough to be a fifth grade person, someone leading an assembly for fifth graders and be pitted against Snoop and Dr. Dre. You know what I mean? It's just like, you kind of already lost this one, bro. You might just pick it. Pick financial literacy or something.
Starting point is 00:31:17 You know what I mean? Pick something that the coolest people in the world to me are not diametrically opposed to. Right. Were they like, were your dare officers, actual cops? I think ours were. You know what I mean? So, yeah, I didn't. It was actually our friend's dead.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Was y'all saying ACAB in a fucking In assembly Sorry my nigga, but ACAP We were in the assembly with our friend Tucker He was going, that's a lie He's full of shit Tucker was that was it It was Tucker's day
Starting point is 00:31:52 And Tucker was saying He's full of shit I saw him here in the joint Just two days ago Fuck you me Those little garage breaks We know what you're doing in there, pops. Smoking Ed Reefer.
Starting point is 00:32:10 Dare to be dipping my ass. Copper. Oh, shit. All right, man. I will say, I guess I'm like the people who don't think sex ed should be taught in school. I guess that's me with dare. Like, just leave that to me. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:32:29 You don't need to make a week of elementary school every year about not doing drugs. We got this one. Dad, what's drugs? Maya Garnabasio, age six. Dad, what are drugs? Have you heard of heroin? She starts lifting off the fact. Barbiturates?
Starting point is 00:32:52 I still don't know what the fuck a barbituit is to this day. What the fuck is a barbiturate? A real. Barbitious is pills, isn't it? Isn't it one class of pills? Yeah, but like, that old boy was high off of when he pitched a no hitter? No, he was on LSD. I thought it was, oh.
Starting point is 00:33:13 You're talking about, uh, Ellis, uh, Ellis, Doc Ellis. Doc Ellis, yeah, yeah. Barb, dude. A high off LSD threw a, it wasn't a perfect game, but it was a no hitter. I think he walked like 11 people or some shit. Yeah. That's some high nigger shit. Like, I ain't dealing with this right now.
Starting point is 00:33:28 Like, he said the ball was this big. I did it with D big. barbiturates or any central nervous system depressants so like benzo or like any I thought he was on benzos That's what he said he said he was popping benzos Well they were all popping benzos But I think he was on LSD specifically
Starting point is 00:33:47 Because I always hear that as an LSD story Like you know what I mean From the people who are trying to get me to do mushrooms That's one of the stories You know what I mean It's just like It'll open up your brain You see everything super clearly
Starting point is 00:34:00 I got some of my homies is like really, really trying to give you to do that shit. You're just in your head right now, bro. You'd love it. And I'm like, so I should give you the kids' peer pressure pledge that they brought home from school, bro. Here's a list of things you can say
Starting point is 00:34:18 when your friends try and pressure you into doing mushrooms when you're fucking in your late 30s. You're trying to do that shit for like four years. Right, right. That's, bro, I've got more pressure to the troops now than I ever did. I've got better things to do. What's funny? What's funny?
Starting point is 00:34:31 Like, niggas, we was, bro. You didn't want to share your tree or your drugs back in the day. Like, you should share the truth with niggas that you love. You know what I mean? Nobody's just, hey, you should do shrooms. Now a nigga got extra money and trying to force the shrooms on you. You feel me? Like, I mean, it's always the goofiest shit to me.
Starting point is 00:34:48 I was actually just laughing with my mom about that. For all of the, like, you're so right, all the stuff they're trying to arm you with was like, everyone's going to constantly be trying to give. They had me like thinking high school was going to be like fucking euphoria, even though I didn't know what euphoria was. You know what I mean? Right, right. Like, and then, I mean, I've hung out almost exclusively with people who, you know, were heavy drinkers or who did a variety of drugs, including hallucinogens and shit like that since I was in like late middle school.
Starting point is 00:35:13 And not once has anyone ever turned to me in the middle of math and been like, take these pills. Hey, you want some drugs. Bro, I remember, I remember my homie Reggie wouldn't let me smoke weed. He was like, no, you're a hooper, bro. Don't do this shit. Don't do this shit. while hitting the joint. He's like, this is stupid, bro.
Starting point is 00:35:34 Like, you ain't this ain't, nah. You know what I mean? He was right at the moment, too. I probably would have been a totally different nigga if I smoked, like, as much as I would have, you know, back then. All right. Shall we do our House of Dragons recap for the final? The finale.
Starting point is 00:35:49 Liff finale. All right. First of all. They sent that nigga across the ocean on a fucking chihuahua. Bitch. That bitch barely had wings. niggins, nigga. Fuck it.
Starting point is 00:36:03 Through that nigga on the chicklets head, see you. You're on a hot wing. Good luck. God damn. I ain't no dragons were that small, nigga, that shit was crazy.
Starting point is 00:36:17 What they say, what they said, that Chrysler 300 looked like a phantom until a phantom pull up. Like that way. Right. Listen, bro,
Starting point is 00:36:26 soon as I saw that big motherfucker at the goddamn castle, I had to hop my ass back on that motherfucking dragon and dip. They're like, it's a lost cause, bro. We just got to talk his wife in the game, Mama.
Starting point is 00:36:38 Right. This was on you. Crazy. That's it. I was shocked at the, I don't know, we'll talk about the ending. You know,
Starting point is 00:36:47 the ending ending with old boy later. But like, yeah, bro. Like, I'm shocked they sent that little motherfucker across there. I'm like, dude. And I didn't, I'm, it seems less safe for him to be on a dragon.
Starting point is 00:36:59 Like, not with him. with the knights and shit. You know, I'd almost rather him just ride with the knights. You sent him butt-necked out there on a, like, you said a baby out there on a baby fucking dragon, bro. Like, that dragon could shake shit, nigga. Yeah, his, I mean, he's the one who suggested it. His whole thing was, you know, they were going to send a raven.
Starting point is 00:37:18 He was like, dragons are more impressive than ravens. Let me, you know, relay the message. But it was his older brother, right? His older brother, his older brother said it. And I was like, bro, your dragon, your dragon, I was like, bro, your dragon was, like, bro, your dragon was out there looking like a raven compared to that other dragon. That was a motherfucking pigeon. Like, god damn.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Bitch, that nigga, hey, homie pulled up in that big bitch. The big body. Oh, ass, nigga, what you're doing out here in the wild, nigga? Take your bitch asses. Nigel. You should have jumped this ass off the porch with that little shit,
Starting point is 00:37:53 nigga. I saw that motherfucker in the shadow. I was shivering Pats of shakes I'm like nigga what the fuck is that that shit looked like a fucking
Starting point is 00:38:11 jroth nigga that was that was a fucking 500 cedar jet for one nigga dog the nigga the fuck hell no bro
Starting point is 00:38:21 that little ass nigga out the sky nigga he ain't built for this fucking me god damn I knew Shara, Shara was like distraught from the moment the moment that
Starting point is 00:38:36 if I fucking forgot her name again what's his mom's name Tyler? Renera. Renera? When Renira said to her kid when she touched the back of his hand when she was holding his hand and she just stroked the back of his hand with her finger
Starting point is 00:38:50 it was like awe pure emotion was experienced something you're right exactly that show's so fucked up bro They're like the pure love between a mother and her child. Oh, you know he's dead. It's a rap. Love that used love is foreshadowing death.
Starting point is 00:39:10 That's horrible. It's not worked out. I'm sick though, man. The little homie had to go out like that, man. It's a fucking dick for that shit. Like, I mean, but I think the whole point that was being made here was like, you know, we saw Vassaris say it like first episode. like the biggest illusion that we have is that we control dragons right like and i think that
Starting point is 00:39:34 there's like some you know commentary there because we we can't forget that george r martin he was an anti-vietnam war hippie like he's admitted that himself you know what i mean and these dragons are by all measures they're weapons of mass destruction right and i think that's a big illusion is that if you possess weapons of mass destruction you're in control and the whole shit is if you ever use a weapon of mass destruction that doesn't end shit it just leads to more violence right it's going to be retaliation attacks, like the whole mutually agreed destruction, the whole shit. So yeah, it's like, if you look at them through the lens of them being like, you know, fucking weapons of mass destruction, there's a, there's a salient point there.
Starting point is 00:40:10 If I could get on my English lit shit briefly, like the whole thing with the fantasy genre, this fantasy epic was, it wasn't created by, but our modern conception of it is basically created by Tolkien with Lord of the Rings, right, and that whole world. And Tolkien was writing at a time when, I mean, the Lord of the Rings is basically, basically about World War II and about nuclear weapons and about what it takes to defeat Great Evil and all this other shit, right? But ultimately, because it was about World War II, it comes down in a positive thing. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:40:42 That it's like, yeah, you have to do some crazy shit and kill a lot of people to defeat evil. And what it was so exciting about Game of Thrones is in many ways, it's one of the first, because there's so many knockoffs of Lord of the Rings and fantasy literature and movies and whatever else, right? even superhero shit to a large extent if you look at some of the bigger Marvel epics of the 60s and 70s
Starting point is 00:41:02 and stuff it's a lot of it is just Lord of the Rings were redone you know what I mean the fellowship of the ring is the fucking Avengers or the X-Men or whatever and
Starting point is 00:41:11 and Game of Thrones or you know song of fire ice or whatever is really like you said similar to Star Wars like okay we're gonna do something about our era we're going to do something
Starting point is 00:41:23 about our politics which if you know anything about people who grew up during the Vietnam era, they weren't looking at their parents, aka Tolkien, being like, these people have it figured out, you know? They thought they were wrong about everything. And so, yeah, I think you're exactly right. And that's true about nukes, not just with the, like, when you fire them, you don't control what happens. It's like, you don't control what happens with the waste. You know, like, we have nuclear waste is going to be around for thousands of years after human beings
Starting point is 00:41:52 are gone or after the people who made them are gone. And we don't really have control. over that. Like that, you know, that's the number one reason we're not all running off nuclear energy all the time is like, you can't guarantee there won't be an earthquake that, you know, cracks open an underground vault that's storing waste or whatever. You know what I mean? So, yeah, I totally agree with you. And I think there's a lot of foreshadowing. It seems like for what's coming up with that, that it's like, you don't control the dragons. And when you go to war with dragons, everything burns, as she said. You know what I mean? And that's what you saw in that scene? Because neither of them want to it seems like the one I do just wanted to scare him, right? The little kid. Right. But the little kid's dragon responded the way I guess a dragon would and just fucking threw off a little fireball. And then the big one was like, all right. It's wild. Like, that scene to me made, I was afraid of him prior. I'm less afraid of him after that scene. You know what I mean? Like, he seemed like a real villain.
Starting point is 00:42:56 where I thought that he could even go head to head with Damon. I think Damon would rip him to fucking shreds now. Tear him limb from fucking limb after seeing that scene. He looked like a bitch to me after that. You know what I mean? He didn't look like the the scary villain I thought he was. You know what I mean? He looked like, bro, like he looked like a big kid.
Starting point is 00:43:19 He's a bully. You know what he wanted to do was bully. That's what he looked like. That's what he looked like. That's what he looked like. He didn't look like the, the, the, villain I actually thought he was. So yeah, I wonder how that's going to turn out too, because I don't know if they, you were talking about they were building him up to be like some, some type of, you know what I'm
Starting point is 00:43:36 saying, like frightening villain, you know what I'm saying? But he doesn't, that, that scene took a lot of that away. Well, actually in the books, per my YouTube viewership of clips that talk about the differences in the books, because I'm never going to read those motherfuckers. They said Amon deliberately did it in the books though so okay yeah it didn't look like it it was for sure I'm on mistake he didn't want to go that far on the TV show but in the books he deliberately did it I think the show
Starting point is 00:44:06 is probably gonna be gonna lean a little more heavily onto that that dragon shit you know what I mean the like uncontrollable side and so that that made sense to me as one of the changes that they made to sort of set their story apart a little bit you know what I mean but I agree John it kind of undercut him a little bit but that's where I that's where I assume they're going with the second and potentially third season where there's just like it's
Starting point is 00:44:28 basically just the war is the people could talk about whatever the fuck they want to talk about but it's about the dragons you know what i mean the whole thing is the arms race to get more dragons and that that was the other thing that jumped out to me was fucking damon saying we have more dragons by them well how many dragons do you have to equal that one dragon that they have bro like you don't have more dragons by volume of dragon right I don't know. They gotta get their dragon back too. Somebody kind of come get that
Starting point is 00:45:01 nigga dog. That dragon right there, that's, nigga. That monster don't need that motherfucker. Sheesh. That's crazy. That's like, I ain't gonna go there.
Starting point is 00:45:11 But anyway. Let's keep playing. Is that the end of the show? No, the last thing I wanted to mention was you said, you mentioned next season, it's going to be a wild, before we get the next season because they're not going to start filming it until 2023.
Starting point is 00:45:29 They said it's too early to even really think about a release date yet. They're trying to make me read these fucking books. Tyler, the fuck. Doug, well, listen, bro, like I said, if we got to wait two years, I'm, there is no way I'm not going to be high as hell one night and just read all the fucking spoilers out there. I do not trust myself to wait two years for this shit, dog. Bro, like, I think when I retire, I think that's what I'm, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm read that, I'm gonna read all of that shit.
Starting point is 00:45:55 I'm reading everything, you know what I mean? So there'll be a time when I read them books, just not soon. I think the fact that- I'm definitely not reading the next couple years. I got to be something on my ass. Yeah, you gotta, right. My kids are older, so I might, I might just, I might end up just reading them, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:46:09 But I think the fact that the show differs from the books is like helpful to. So I'm like, oh, I might not like actually spoil everything that's going to happen at the show, you know what I mean? You'll spoil everything. Just, it might not happen exactly how it happened in the book, but it's going to happen. you feel me yeah like the little the little nigger
Starting point is 00:46:26 flying the pigeon going to die he might not die how he died in the bookstore you know what I mean I just don't know how I mean because this is how it was with Game of Thrones right you watch a season that it might be a year and a half or some shit before you got the next one I don't know how y'all did that like honestly that's it wasn't worth it I tell you that much I'll tell you that much buddy the juice was not worth the squeeze on that one buddy the finale was good but it wasn't it wasn't like I I guess usually, like, to me, I mean, at least first season of Game of Thrones, episode
Starting point is 00:46:59 nine was the banger and then 10 kind of just set up for the next year. You know what I mean? So I think that's how they kind of do it. So it makes sense. But yeah. I thought people were saying they thought the finale was underwhelming. I just, like, when did these people grow up, bro? These motherfuckers did not grow up with the ABC family night on Friday night.
Starting point is 00:47:17 So I'll tell you that. Like, that fucking scene with a lightning crack that you can see the big dragon over the Dragon. That's the scariest shit I've ever seen. That wasn't on Family Matters. We didn't see that on TGIF. Oh, it was underwhelming. We was watching dinosaurs on TGIF. Of course we fucking enjoy this.
Starting point is 00:47:36 We're watching dog shit. If you thought that shit was underwhelming, go watch Dinotopia. Go look at what computer animation look like for the first. Don't. Don't. Don't watch that. Don't do it. That's worse than armpit fucking, all right? we were watching armpit fucking on Friday nights
Starting point is 00:47:56 the equivalent all right no gee don't watch that bullshit all right that's all we got time for today we'll be back on Monday I hope everyone we grew up in the armpit fucking era on television of cable television dog
Starting point is 00:48:16 bro the only what boy meets world was probably the only good show. You know what I mean? Boy Meets World was a hand. What else was good? That was the hand. Boy Meets Good was fucking.
Starting point is 00:48:28 Nah, nah. That was a great show. I ain't going to compare it because they were, it's boy meets world. But it was as good as a television show could be back then. And it still stands up to this day. I'll watch it at times. But yeah, man. Anyway, all right, man.
Starting point is 00:48:43 All right, y'all. Enjoy your weekends. We'll see you all Monday. Bye. Bye. Bye.
