NetSuite.com slash J-N-J.
NetSuite.com slash J-A-N-D-J.
All right.
It's a vegetables up front podcast.
Once again, Saga, the never-ending saga, has not ended.
God damn.
Where are we right now on the Kyrie Irving NetS saga?
Obviously, we're recording this,
we're recording this pretty late Sunday night.
but by the time we wake up on Monday morning, who knows what will be different.
There's no telling.
But as of right now, after some back and forth late last week,
Tyree Irving has been suspended by the Nets,
and the Nets have given him conditions that he must meet
before he is allowed back with the team,
six conditions ranging from an apology,
$500,000 to anti-Semitic,
charities.
What do you guys think of where we are right now?
And what do you think this is heading to as we move through the week?
I mean, I'm just at the point.
Like, I just feel like the damage is done already.
Right?
Like, like, I feel like there is like just, I feel like Kyrie has been like an anti-Semitic
evangelist of sorts who's kind of introduced like, you know, a whole new generation to
like this vile rhetoric.
You know what I mean?
I feel like, I mean, because, you know, with Kanye, he was on that bullshit.
No, but no one really gave a fuck.
You know, we know that Kanye's always on one.
We know that Kyrie's always on one, too.
But the shit that, you know, was specifically highlighted in this documentary that people dug in on was just, you know, it was some vile, you know, bigoted shit that just got introduced to a whole new wave of people who follow Kyrie.
Right.
Like, I'm sure there's some, you know, 16-year-old kid who thinks the world of Kyrie.
And now he's probably like, you know, diving down this rabbit hole that, you know, that, you know,
know was what started by Kyrie posting this shit.
So I mean, the apology, I, it just, you know,
Kyrie was just so firm on standing on this shit the whole time.
Then once that suspension with no pay came down, we got an apology like two hours later.
And you know what I mean?
Like, like, you know, motherfuckers change up real quick once some direct deposit stop in.
You know what I mean?
And everyone was like, you know, way to go.
I stand with Kyrie.
Bro, Kyrie ain't even standing with Kyrie right now.
You know what I'm saying?
And even Kyrie is like, you know, I'm wilder right now, basically.
So, I mean, I hope that the apology is heartfelt.
Like, you know, people bring up the point that, you know,
Kyrie seems like a non-malicious guy.
Yeah, I don't think he's a malicious dude.
I don't think he's a evil dude.
But the shit he's spreading is malicious and evil.
So you've got to be held accountable for that shit.
But like I said, I think the damage is already done.
Like, Kyrie has introduced a whole new, a whole lot of people to this shit.
You know what I'm saying?
Like we saw on Amazon, it's like the number one religious documentary now.
So I feel like the day.
damage is already done, bro.
I'm going to be honest with y'all.
I think we've talked about a little in the group chat.
I don't know if Kyrie introduced them because I think this way of thinking like
black Hebrew is real like, you know what I'm saying?
This belief system is pretty common, at least in, you know, amongst like, you know,
the black community.
You feel what I'm saying?
And I think he just kind of stamped it because like for a long time, I think Boe even
talked about this.
We kind of laugh at the motherfuckers.
You know what I'm saying?
saying, like, we see him out on the street yelling them motherfuckers. We just laugh at it,
you know, and then this was like probably 10 years ago. Then it started to become like,
you know, some of your friends may have converted, you know what I mean? You know your,
you have an uncle or a cousin and shit that they're talking about it. He's kind of like,
all right, all right, I know, your barber. We talked about it before. All right, all right,
you know what I mean? It's not that serious. I think having somebody like Kyrie kind of
stamped that type of belief, I don't, I mean, both talked about this too. I don't think,
I don't even know if Kyrie really watched that shit. I don't think,
I think we talked about we don't know if Kyrie's malicious or not.
It's,
and we don't think he's malicious.
But if you really watch that shit and it starts off with a quote from Hitler,
you know what I mean?
It's,
that's hard,
you know,
with his name spell wrong.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
So like,
and I don't,
I don't even know if Kyrie really watched this shit.
You know what I mean?
Like,
but.
I think Bo's theory,
Bose theory was that he was sharing,
something that like you said is sort of increasingly popular maybe with the circle of friends
and that but i think bow said that pretty early on he's like he's going to destroy his whole
career over retweeting a documentary he probably did not watch right because shit is three and a half
fucking hours i think maybe i think three and four hours something like that like there's no way he's
no one in america no no american has the attention span for a four hour documentary in
fucking 22 bro but regardless of it you know i think what people are getting confused with is that
he's getting suspended for his beliefs the beliefs is
not was getting suspended.
He shared a fucking documentary
that was anti-Semitic
that had fucking Hitler quotations.
You know what I mean?
And they're asking him to apologize
for pushing, pedaling that bullshit.
And he's getting suspended
for like, for talking around that
instead of a, and not apologizing.
You know what I'm saying?
And that's why he's getting suspended.
But people are like,
I can't believe that they're doing this,
Sakari.
You know, it's not because of the beliefs.
You know what I'm saying?
And I think that's what people are attaching to
and like sharing this and like retweeting.
I'm glad he's not,
he didn't apologize and all this shit before.
and it's getting out of support because people think he's just getting uh I have a lot of friends I have a lot of friends who are tweeting about you know I mean particularly like a lot of my friends in Long Beach or whatever tweeting about like good for him for you know they're trying to bring him they're trying to shame him they're trying to humble him why did why didn't why didn't like the white players in the NFL said the NWR have to apologize which I mean I mean I mean I mean I think they all did you know what I mean but like there's been a lot of that like see this proves him right like all that kind of stuff that's what's been so disheartening to me is like you said whether he
meant to or not. Tyler's right, like, much more so than the dumb shit Kanye was doing. This to me
is, like, brought a lot of friends of mine out with stuff where I've been like, man, this is
fucked up that you say and think this, you know? I wasn't aware that some of these, uh, beliefs were
attached in this way to a group of people. You know what I mean? Like, I, I don't know. It's been
very disheartening. I, I, I knew like, what's, what's hard with this shit is it, it starts
off with like like a foundation lead to some of the shit that they talk about talking to my
home girl about this she was saying like some of the stuff they talk about foundationally is like it's true
like in Ethiopia like there's like they've been you know black Jewish people from for millennia
you know what I'm saying but they'll use that truth and stretch it out so far and go places that
people with that it's like every conspiracy thing yeah you don't you know what I'm saying and so like
that's that's where it gets a lot of people but I didn't I didn't know that there was a lot of that
anti-semitism
within black Hebrew
Israelites, you know what I'm saying? I thought they just didn't fuck
white people because all the bullshit that they've seen
in the, you know what I'm saying? I didn't think it was
you know, what I've seen
online the last few days and I'm like
and even my people said that I didn't know y'all
were anti-Semitic like this like
I didn't know, you know that people felt
this way and
that's been shocking to me as a nigga that
dude like 99.49% of the motherfuckers
is it I fuck with or
is niggas and I know hell of people that fuck with this shit
and they've never talked to me about that.
You know, we talked about like how like this is the,
like it was nation of Islam before this
and now a lot of people are viewing this.
And like, people like Kendrick, the last three albums,
this is the foundation of a lot of the shit he's talking.
You know what I'm saying?
And I know it's connected to like actual hate in this way, it seems.
But I mean, I'm, all this shit been kind of shocking, gee.
You know what I mean?
You know, like, like, you know, we had this discussion
in the group chat too about how,
anti-semit you know anti-semitism is is unique in the way that it operates um you know it's a
particular type of bigotry that you know isn't quite like you know rooted in in tribalism like
most forms of bigotry are it's it's not the you know they're coming for our jobs bigotry
it's the they control gets jobs bigotry you know what i'm saying so it it's a form of
bigotry that i think people feel enlightened and and informed when they take part in right like
it doesn't necessarily, it's not the type of bigotry that, you know,
subjugates people and the stances, you know, I think these people are inferior.
It's these people are nefarious.
These people are evil.
You know what I mean?
That's the type of bigotry that it is.
So I think a lot of people move with that because it's like, it's the type of bigotry
where it's like, you know, look how enlightened I am for identifying, you know, the true puppet
masters here, you know, when they take on that type of bigotry.
It plays into all this shit.
We've been talking about the last couple weeks about,
you know, masculinity run amuck
on fucking YouTube and all this other shit for sure.
It's like I'm gonna be honest though
The secret. I've seen a lot of motherfuckers that weren't part of that demo
Talking supporting Kyrie bro.
It's this is my nicking.
This shit been kind of weird the last four or five days.
Has it not?
Yeah.
Like I'm seeing.
I told y'all I was actually used some screenshots of shit friends of mine
and posted on Facebook like what the fuck.
I'm like this is what you.
I mean but and and and when like I said the belief system itself like I
Like, I know people that fuck with it, and I didn't, I mean, the way they talked to me about it,
and we are super honest about how we feel.
You know what I'm saying about a lot of shit.
Yeah.
And so I don't know if it's directly connected to that, you know, anti-Semitism.
But it's been, I've seen a lot of stuff that I just did not know, you know, existed in the way it does.
Yeah.
Let me, I'll say this.
This is where I think, you know, Kyrie got crossed up and the NBA from my read.
I mean, this is not based on reporting.
This is based on my.
read on it. The NBA came back to the Nets and said, you better suspend this dude, was, you know,
he made the donation to the anti-defamation league. And then later that day, an Nets reporter
asked him basically to condemn anti-Semitism. And he didn't do it. He said, what he was
said? I can't be anti-Semitic. He said, I can't be anti-Semitic. And he said, like, do you
have anti-Semitic beliefs? Yes or no. And he said, it's not,
possible for me to, you know.
And I get what he's saying, but it doesn't,
what he's saying is he's original Hebrew, you know what I'm saying?
So he can't hate, he can't hate himself.
That's where he says, I know where I come from.
But here's the thing. And like, this is the thing about us trying to
continue to exist as a multicultural planet Earth.
You have to say no to that question.
Yeah.
Like, and you're going to be asked it, not just, you'd be asked about being racist.
You'll be asked about being homophobic, about being sexist.
And you have to answer the question and you have to then think about it in your own head.
I mean, I don't think it's Kyrie's responsibility to like self reflect in front of Nets beatwriters who might be assholes or not.
But like if someone says are you racist or do you think that racism is right, you have to say no.
Right.
Like that's a basic tenant of this of any of this continuing to function.
And I have to say I was really fucking bummed out to see like a lot of dudes in the NBA.
I mean, did anyone come out and say, I think being anti-Semitic is wrong?
You know, like, that's, to me is just a like, what's that?
Braun spoke out.
You missed that?
Yes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But, like, KD, like, no one else on the Nets, like, yeah, Braun.
Yeah, Katie was like, I wish we could have just kept this.
Katie was like, I wish we could have just kept this quiet.
Come on, Katie.
No, that ain't.
You know, but that, but that, but that, I have to say, like, that, that, that clip from
Kyrie really bothered me.
And I was not surprised that this shit reverse itself on him pretty quick because it's just like,
At the end, and you know what?
The reporter might be a prick from what some people have said about the dude
or I don't know the guy.
But like, that's the question at the heart of this shit.
That's the question of ours.
And there's an easy answer to that.
And it's easy to say no.
It's an easy to say no.
You know what I'm saying?
It's easy to say no.
And you could add context with that too.
Say no.
Then add the context you want to add.
Nobody's mad at you for your belief system.
But you know what it looks like.
If someone asks you a yes or no question about that and you don't start with no.
But Kyrie doesn't know what it looks like, bro.
Kyrie doesn't.
I don't,
I just,
I,
I feel like he's,
he's,
he's an,
he's an,
unserious person
and wants to be viewed
as an intellectual.
You know what I mean?
I truly believe
he doesn't understand
the full context.
At that time,
he didn't understand
the full context of what he did.
You know what I mean?
And it's,
and it's,
like,
you're sharing this video.
You,
you understand you're the voice,
I mean,
obviously has a voice,
he's a voice of the voices
and he steps back and says,
I'm just a human.
But you coming from that,
talking about
how big your platform is,
and sharing a video with fucking quotes from Hitler?
My gee.
Fabricated fake quotes from Hitler at that.
You know what I'm saying?
It's like, dog.
How fucked up is your worldview if you have to make up shit from Hitler, bro?
Like, I mean, come on, dog.
I guarantee there's enough out there for you, Bubba.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, that's, you really get.
Jesus Christ, right, right.
Like all, you know, I mean, all religious beliefs to some extent,
There's some amount of like, you know, I don't, I don't mean this in a pejorative way,
but there's some amount of metaphysical like, you know, fairy tale.
There's some kind of something, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's not all the way found.
You can't have Hitler in your shit.
Come on, man.
Right.
Fuck, bro.
But no, I mean, it's such, it's a, but it's become really complicated to me, though,
when it comes to like, you know, all, like the, the, what the result of it.
because it's like, like I said,
like I said, like people are viewing it with them
trying to quiet him down and, you know what I'm saying?
He's speaking truths and maybe he's speaking
truths to, as far as to your belief system,
but that's not why he is,
he is, you know, he has been, you know, suspended.
It's, you know, sharing some shit that was anti-Semitic
and then not saying that you are, don't fuck with that shit.
You know what I mean?
And that's scary and fucked up.
And I mean, regardless of, you know,
I don't really fuck with white people, y'all.
I'll be honest, you feel me?
But if a white motherfucker said that shit about a nigger, his ass would be out to lead.
You know what I'm saying?
Flat the hell out.
So I don't think this is a black and white thing.
This is what Kyrie's doing is just flat out wrong.
You know, how he's going about doing it is wrong as fuck.
But I think, I think Tyler hit it on the head, which is what I've seen from a lot of my friends, which is that they see this as a powerful versus not powerful issue.
And so even though Kyrie, it's difficult for me to buy anyone's argument that he's, it's the same.
cancel culture shit that all the other millionaires have tried to pull.
And it just doesn't work for me regardless of the race or background of the person who's
pulling it.
Like,
they see it as that.
They see it as like,
wow,
he spoke out.
And now he's being,
you know,
dragged and humbled and they're going to try and humble him and all this
of this other shit.
So that's what bothers me because.
That's pervasive.
It's difficult to reverse that.
Yeah.
I think I see that and I see them talk about the message,
which is,
I think,
reflects a lot of people's beliefs.
You know what I'm saying?
When it comes to them being the,
you know, the original Hebrews, you know what I'm saying?
Or the original Israelites, but.
Should we talk about Tony Brothers?
Do you guys have anything else to say about this fucking guy?
You're right.
It's such, it's...
All right.
Spencer Dinwiddie has said that NBA ref Tony Brothers referred to him as, quote,
a bitch-ass motherfucker after a technical foul.
Tyler, what, I believe your comment was just looking at a picture of Tony Brothers.
You were like, I believe him.
Yeah.
I mean, I mean, Spencer Dinwiddie's a, he strikes him as a very honest dude.
Like, he's someone who, like, I don't know if y'all remember it a while back.
Like, there was a threat on people who, like, went to high school with him and said he was a great kid.
Like, so yeah, Spencer Dinwiddie doesn't shock me, you know, no, doesn't come across to me as a liar.
Yeah, and Tony brothers for sure looks like on someone who calls people bitch ass motherfuckers all the time.
You can see it in his profile, bro.
Yeah, so I absolutely believe that happened.
I tweet, you could tell how high is Josh structured.
You know what I'm saying?
You can see it in that jaw, chin, how that connects.
You know what I'm saying?
A bitch-ass motherfucker come out of there, you know, a fluid, you know,
fluently comes out of there, dog.
He's got bitch-ass rolling around in the left cheek and motherfucker rolling around in the right one.
And you know what?
And you know what?
He meant it.
He really meant it, too.
You know what I'm saying?
He didn't just say, though, like, that's a motherfucker to say that and make that shit.
And I think I fuck with Spencer, but maybe.
And we all do some bitch asses.
shit sometimes. Maybe Tony needed to tell him that. Maybe it was a little bit too much flopping or something.
You know what I'm saying? He comes across as somebody who's on it, Spencer did what he does.
And Tony comes across as a motherfucker that's going to tell you what it is in the moment. You know what I'm saying?
I don't really question his ability to see the truth and speak to speak facts as well.
You know what I mean? So I think he, I think Tony brothers misinterpreted Spencer, uh, Spence clapping at a teammate or something is that he was,
he was doing something at him.
I think he whirled around,
dropped the tea
and called him a bitch-hats motherfucker
before he'd done all of his fact-finding.
I don't know.
I like a ref that's,
I don't think,
I don't think the rest should be punished.
I don't think there should be any repercussions.
As a ref,
you should be able to do that ever so long.
You know what I said?
Someone in that thread said they were a bartender
and Tony Brothers came into his bar.
And the bartender recognized him.
And he said,
you know, Tony Brothers was shocked
to somebody recognized him.
He was like,
hey, I appreciate that, man.
And he said the next thing Tony Brothers said to me
said to him was,
he don't turkle was an ugly motherfucker, ain't he?
So, yeah, so I believe,
I wholeheartedly believe that he called Spencer
did with a bitch-ass motherfucker.
Hey, man, we need more from him.
Yeah.
Hey, let's get Tony brothers on the show.
Right, right, right.
Yeah, Jackson, let's make that habit.
Come on, gee.
Yeah, let's get Tony brothers on the show.
You know what I mean?
And end his career.
immediately, you know.
Yeah, Tony brother can't be miced up.
And then you teed him off, bitch.
He had to learn.
Sometimes you got to love motherfucker
I know what time it is, you know what I'm saying?
Yeah, my ref, but shit ain't sweet,
motherfuckers, you feel me?
I wonder if Spencer actually respected it.
He probably did like, damn,
but also you were real nigger.
You know what I'm saying?
I can see that.
I want to talk about the best team,
the best story in the NBA we have not talked about yet is the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Lakers
to improve to 8 and 1. I think all three of us had the Cavs as being a fun team to watch this
year, fun league pass team, but I didn't see him coming out as a, you know, a team that was going
to really shake shit up in the east. Have you guys been surprised by the start the Cavs had?
And how much do you think that record has legs to kind of go the distance here?
I think all of us are pretty high on the Cavs, right? I think we got there.
people like probably like a top four seed like the bulls yeah yeah yeah they're gonna be like the
bulls last year which are really good yeah yeah yeah I mean bro you got Darius you got Darius
Karris you got Mowley you got Evan like that's that's mean that's a mean ass lineup um Darius
Garland and Donovan are looking like the best back court in the league so far in this young
season Darius Garland I'm super high on that kid I think um I think he's yeah I think he's a top five point
guard I think probably the only point cards you can say are better than him are you know Steph Dane
Jha Trey and
I wouldn't be surprised.
I think only fucking Stefan Dane are probably safe from, you know, Darius Eclipson
them in Jaha to, you know, this season.
So I wouldn't be surprised if there's hops up on those rankings before the season's
out.
So, yeah, big fan of what they're doing there.
I feel like they're just one guy away.
If they had one guy, an Ohio native by chance, perhaps, who has flirted with that idea.
They'd be a championship team.
But, no.
People were, people were talking about, like, what would you?
If I was Brian, dog, I'm going there for the low ski, bro.
You feel me?
For the low ski and get me a motherfucking shit, bro.
And if you're talking about Darius, bro, one of my main goals for this year
as far as the basketball.
And I tweeted it was, I want to watch as much Darius Garland as humanly possible.
I was driving to the driver range today, and I saw the Lakers were playing calves.
And I wanted to turn around, not because of the Lakers, not because Brian, who's like,
you know, my favorite player of all time, because I wanted to see Darius fucking Garland
to see how he's doing shit.
Somebody described his game as like having a lot of wiggle.
And that's the perfect explanation, bro.
That motherfucker, hard as fuck to stay.
He's shifty as fuck, hard to stay in front of.
Donovan looks great.
You know what I'm saying?
I mean, that Celtics game, you know, that was playoff.
I want to see seven of that shit.
Let's fucking make it nine.
Make it a nine game series, nigga.
You know what I'm saying?
That shit looked good.
That was great basketball early the season.
Love watching that, dog.
You know what I'm saying?
I mean, it was.
I'm really high on that team,
we talked about them being the Bulls.
I think they're better than the Bulls, man.
I think they can really make some shit shake
late in the season
and get pretty deep in the playoffs, you know what I'm saying?
I mean, yeah, they look incredible.
You know what I mean?
They're just not beating, like, beating teams.
They beat a really good Celtics team.
You know what I mean?
Came back, lost the lead, you know what I'm saying?
Then came back in one in overtime.
I mean, they don't see.
there's a lot of young talent on there
that doesn't play young.
Like Evan Mobley's what,
second year?
He played like a five year,
you know what I'm saying,
Vang?
You know what I'm saying?
Darius is what?
Is this fourth year?
Something like that?
You know what I mean?
Like, he plays like
and this is the first year
in the playoffs was last year.
He plays like he's been here,
been there before.
He's played championship basketball.
He ain't scared as shit.
I love this team, bro.
And Donovan's seen a lot of basketball as well.
I love this team.
They're going to be fun.
Fortunately for those of us
who do not want Bronch
and Cleveland Sierra Canyon is still located in Los Angeles.
So just kind of...
You can pull up with some Sierra Canyon games.
I want to see funny do his thing in a year.
All right.
Let's talk about...
We had a great viral highlight last week with Kevin Durant with a fucking vintage ankle breaker
that led to one of the fucking funniest.
You saw the photo, John?
Yeah, he was like whispering in the fucking ground.
He had his ear to the streets, you know what I'm saying?
Like...
fucking me.
That shit was crazy, bro.
You said he looked like he's trying to get a stock tip.
You feel me?
He's looking for a good place to eat dinner.
You feel me?
You know what I mean?
I was like, damn, gee.
I ain't never seen a nigga that flat after getting shook.
Like his face was like, that nigga's whole body was touching the ground.
You know what I'm saying?
I was like, damn.
You know what I'm saying?
Did nothing catch the fall?
You learned,
you landed completely flat on everything.
You know what I'm saying?
Made a nigga almost through the splits.
And what's funny you said is like traditional where like he gave him a little,
huh, huh.
It wasn't like he just, you know, it wasn't no newfangled shit.
That was an old school change of speed, change the direction, nigga.
You know what I mean?
Caught that man off guard, man.
That shit was beautiful.
And he hit the shot on his ass too.
Sheesh.
And the freeze frame of Katie rising up.
A homie just listening to the, you know what I'm saying?
To the squeak, squeak, squeak on the fucking crowd.
A nigga ain't never been that close to the hardwood before.
Jesus Christ.
How do you play in a crowded arena after that just happened to you?
I would, I'd go home, dog.
Like, I'm getting the showers, bro.
We're not going to do this anymore, man.
I'm not built for it.
I'm not built for it for it for a 16,000.
Right.
You just get up.
up and entered the offense after that.
Bro, that shit going to stick with you.
Your face was on the ground, bro.
You got to make your wood polish on your ear.
You got to rub the wax off your ear.
They talk about touching ground, nigga.
You ate ground.
You know, you was literally laying on the ground, bro.
And you can see he was like, damn, they're going to kill me online.
You can see that written all over his face.
They're fin to eat my ass up.
Fuck, he got me.
You know what I mean?

All right.
New Drake project dropped.
Tyler had the four-word review in the group chat of Grow Up Peter Pan.
What are your guys' thoughts?
I'm curious for, I feel like Grow Up Peter Pan probably sums up your thoughts pretty well,
What were your thoughts?
Yeah, it's, you know, like I mentioned,
it bangs, it's a really good album,
but it just feels hollow, I guess.
Drake is a unique rapper, like,
because, you know, I feel like all rappers rap about the same shit.
All rappers repeat the same subject matter, right?
Like, you know, push a team
and talking about Coke forever.
You know, a rapper like currency,
they're talking about weed and cars for forever.
But those are topics that you will never age out of.
You know what I'm saying?
You will never age out of talking about selling drugs,
You will never age out of talking about, you know, getting high and driving Chevys.
The shit that Drake is on where his whole brand is just the, you know, the toxic errant and jerk.
Like, that's 24-year-old shit, dude.
You are 48 years old now, sir.
You know, it is-old.
You know, it is time to grow up.
But like I said, the music bangs, but I don't know.
It just feels very weird for a 36-year-old man to, you know, consciously brand himself as like, you know, the king of being toxic, bro.
Grow up, man.
It's time.
You're a family man now, sir.
Please go to that.
You feel me?
I like, I like the music.
I feel like, I feel like, they said, I saw in Rolling Stone and said like they turned, he turned 21 into a side.
I thought 21 carried a lot.
I liked, I liked 21 went crazy.
I honestly think that like, Drake like turned him into a side, nigga, fucking, you know,
something like a feature artist.
I didn't feel like that.
I felt like a lot of songs 21 when, that was my favorite shit.
Yeah.
I think, like, the thing is with me is, like,
Like, it's with Drake, like, I don't believe a single fucking thing that comes out of his mouth.
I feel like he started off with that emotion shit, but then he's talking spicy now.
I'm like, nigga, you kind of went backwards and like, you don't get richer and then act harder.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, it seemed like you're going a little backwards with the lyrics.
And the shit, you know, I get it.
I mean, like the music, I get the music.
I fuck with it.
But you said it seems hollow.
I don't believe nothing.
So, like, even if the song slaps, you know what I'm saying,
I feel like he's officially lost the plot with this album.
Like, I don't see him making music that's going, like, move me anymore.
Even though I like Drake and I thought he might have had another,
another, like, you know, like, bangering him.
You know what I'm saying?
As far as, like, you know, take over the fucking airways and shit,
he might have some songs to do that, you know what I mean?
But, like, it just doesn't move me like it used to.
And maybe I'm old, nigga, and that's cool.
cool with that.
But like,
I think that's part of it.
Yeah.
I think part of it is your age, but also part
of it is the fact that he's
really, he's done it so much, right?
Like, um,
Sharre told me something.
The tough talk has been, I think he's
gotten more spicy. I think he's
talking tougher like, like shit
he'll do to a nigga.
I'm like, bro, Drake.
That man went after Serena's husband,
the Reddit co-founder.
That, that harmless white man
does not bother anybody, don't.
You went to Dr. Miami and got abs,
nigger, like, we don't.
I'm not.
Somebody says,
what did you see,
his belly butt was doing a cha-cha slide
because he got the,
he got the,
he said,
like, bro,
we don't,
my nigga,
I don't believe that.
And I don't need you to do that.
And did you see her,
did you see Serena's husband's response on Twitter?
Yeah,
he's like,
he leaned in.
He leaned in.
He responded like a 40-year-old
fucking family man should respond.
He responded and said,
you know,
in 2010,
I was doing this.
And like,
now that it's 12 years later, I've learned how to be a grown-up as a professional and in my personal life.
And yes, all of those changes have allowed me to be the best husband and father and the biggest fan of my wife and daughter that I could be.
And you know what?
That's the correct way to respond on an old person's platform, use an old person language to a fellow old person who is still singing like he's in fucking high school, bro.
You know who Drake is, bro?
Drake that nigger who like hung around.
Okay, you know, you know, I know, I know the exact dude, you know what I'm saying?
It was a dude that was like two years graduated, wasn't quite old enough for it to be nasty for him to be around.
You know what I'm saying?
So at that age, I was thinking like, damn, he got all the, he's getting all the chicks, you feel I'm saying?
Like when I was a freshman in college, like, but then when I got to, when I graduated college and like, you know, I realized that that's kind of weird.
You know what I'm saying, a motherfucker.
And I feel like us being older, we're looking at Drake.
Like, Drake, you're the nigga that's, you getting a little yadi so you can still appeal to this young group.
You're rapping for a young demo.
And that's not, you old now, nigga, like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, you look, you look weird.
You still got chucks on talking about what you used to do.
Like, that shit, bro, like, grow up, my nigga.
That's, those times gone, nigga.
Like, it just feels weird to me.
He's the nigga that's still trying to hang around young motherfuckers and raping for that demo when he's really like, bro, we, nigga, you old as fuck.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, but I don't know, bro.
That's how I feel.
He's texting underage actresses, bro.
I mean, I mean, I ain't going.
Well, that's, you go ahead and don't go there.
But yeah, that's the type of shit you'd expect from a dude with that mentality.
Like, he's just like, he still thinks he's in high school.
That hurt runs deep, bro.
Yeah, that's, Jesus Christ.
Yeah.
The thing is, like, you can, you can make music that is your age appropriate, right?
Like, fucking, like, you know, my favorite rap crew doing right now is like Griselda.
You know, they're a bunch of 40-year-old.
making rap for 40-year-olds.
You know what I mean?
They make rap that sounds like,
yo, this is the rap that we grew up
when we were 15 in 1994 or whatever.
You know what I mean?
They make that rap.
You can tell me that shit
with a different package every year
for the rest of my motherfucking life.
100%.
Yes.
And Drake's still out here trying to appeal
to like the 22-year-olds,
bro, like.
And that's...
He's getting Lil Yadi to write from which
people talk shit about Lil'i.
I think he's a fucking genius.
Oh, yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
I think like, you know what I'm saying?
Got the walking fucking polling and shit.
Like, nigga, that's just, that's, he's doing that because he knows it's weird and what
it's going to do on internet.
You know what I mean?
Like his last album was like so forward thinking with the, you know, the way he was
rapping and shit, I'm like, nigga, he's, and he switches up so much, I think he's brilliant.
And I think, you know, like, I think Drake knows that.
But Drake saying things that little Yachty would say sounds weird coming from Drake, but it
don't sound weird from Lil Yachty.
You know what I mean?
Because Little Yachty's a part of that demo.
You feel me?
Like, so that's, that's how I feel.
Like, it just, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and the young niggas probably still
fuck with it, and that's fire and whatever, you know what I'm saying.
But it's, it's that, but it's, it's that, Kurt, it's weird, you know what I mean?
It's that Kurt Vonnegut quote about whatever millionaire that was at the party with him,
you know, the dude's like, oh, that guy's got all this money.
And Kurt Vonnegut said, I have something he'll never have.
And he said, I have enough.
Drake got more money than me.
He's got more, whatever.
But you know what?
I go to sleep in my house.
happy with myself and my life and my family every night and it takes me 20 seconds to fall asleep.
The hole in my heart got filled a long time ago.
And if you as an artist are seeking to widen that shit for commercial purposes,
come on, bro.
Life's too short, dog.
Life's too short to try and be cool when you're old.
Go, cancel that.
You know what I'm saying?
I mean, this is a nigga that, like, started his own basketball league in his third,
at mid-30s and like, you know, like,
just learn how to play.
I still love that shit.
No, this one tripped me out, though.
This trip me out.
The nigga just learned how to hoop.
He's taking lessons to learn how to play basketball.
He's like doing things.
There's nothing wrong with that by itself.
You know what I'm saying?
But wasn't he a child actor?
He didn't really get it.
He didn't really get like a real childhood, right?
That's cool.
But then you also, the, the nigga that's taking shots it wasn't
that it's Serena's husband.
The owner of the owner of,
I've read it.
Like, nigga, really, really?
Really?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
Alexis O'Haney or whatever?
You know what I'm saying?
And then, you know what I'm saying?
And you talking tough?
Like, what you know?
Like, it just feel weird.
Bro, you're the singing ass nigga.
We saw you acting, bro.
You know what I'm saying?
You know, like you are a child actor.
You were singing ass niggie.
And now you're talking tough now?
It's just, bro.
At that age, you know, and saying shit that like,
you know, it's, bro.
It's just kind of, I don't know, bro.
Don't.
Hey, I've been playing it and enjoying it.
You feel me?
I've been enjoying the sound, but it just don't, I don't connect to it in the same way.
Yeah.
And that's it.
Maybe I'm just old.
Maybe the young nigga's going to say it.
They're going to be like, Nicky John, you're old, bro.
You're just an old nigga.
Maybe that's what it is.
Yeah, that motherfucker's old too.
That's the point.
You know, this motherfucker is 36.
I mean, what is he 33, 33, 34?
He's 36.
Like, I know that's the internet joke here 36.
He is legit 36.
Yeah.
Right.
Okay.
Yeah.
And the teenagers don't, the teenagers are already on to the next generation, bro.
Drake may as well be.
Did they think Drake old too?
Drake may as well be Kanye.
Drake may as well be.
Okay, okay.
That makes sense.
He may as well be some boom bop shit.
Oh, really?
Call that man, KRS 1.
God, right.
You may put it that nigger nose down, dude.
No, but damn, that's crazy.
That's crazy.
I remember that back in the day, like there was a generation that was like,
KRS 1's the best rapper ever
You know what I'm saying
I love being from
I love being from Southern California
I'm wrong lame ass nigga
You know what I'm saying
But I think that viewpoint
Held sway in like New York and shit
Right like at least in Southern California
Because this shit that was new when we were kids
Was coming out of Southern California
There was no one
You couldn't hold that opinion
For more than 30 seconds in any conversation
Because 10 people will be telling you to shut the fuck up
Bro, niggas was saying that shit
While P was like running shit
I don't give a fuck about no KRS 1, nigga.
You know what I'm saying?
You feel me?
Like, the shit I'm listening to is fucking flagrant.
I don't give a fuck about no lyrics, like, you know?
What are the chicks listening to?
Fuck you mean, nigga.
I can't turn that shit on in the whip with, you know what I'm saying?
I'm like, fucking 19 and shit.
Are you kidding me?
Crazy, crazy.
All right, objectively, you know, there was a lot of people worried
about what was going to happen with Elon Musk taking over Twitter.
And boy, I have never seen Twitter so United.
They might kick us off the, off the, we talk about Elon and my kick us off the app.
So he tonight issued a new edict because he got tired of people with blue checks changing their accounts to Elon Musk to Elon Musk and make a fun of him.
And Mr. Free Speech, Mr. I'm bringing free speech back to social media tweeted tonight.
Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation
without clearly specifying parody will be permanently suspended.
So it wasn't about free speech then, huh?
It wasn't about the free speech.
What's that John?
Y'all can see it.
Some dude can compare.
Now his name is Donald Trump.
Deceased tremendous parody to make sure that.
And he just tweeted, I have died badly.
getting hell engagement
but he's doing it legally
according to Twitter rules, you know what I mean?
Within the Twitter rules.
I have died badly.
Fuck, fuck Elon Musk, bro.
Like, you know, everyone's free to say
nigger all willy-nilly, but don't you dare
say, you know, I drink peepee.
You know what I'm saying?
Fuck Elon Musk.
Elon Musk gets eat shit.
I can't stand that motherfucker, man.
That tweet was a banger too.
Yeah.
I was like, damn, is this Elon?
I thought he, because of the blue check got me.
I was like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I was like, I was, I was like, I was making,
is he making fun of himself?
Does he have a sense of humor?
Is he, he doesn't take himself that seriously?
And I saw somebody else was climbing his ass.
I thought, that shit was hilarious.
That was, that was satire in action.
That's, right.
That's the purpose of the blue check.
You thought it was Elon Musk.
Yeah.
He's a, you know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Ben, Ben Collins, who's a, he's a, like, misinformation and, uh, online, uh,
horrible things beat writer for NBC.
He tweeted,
like I always say with content moderation,
every social media site owner
who is pro free speech
meets their line eventually.
For 4chan, it was animate child porn.
For Facebook and YouTube,
it was white nationalism.
And for Elon,
it was people making fun of him.
And that's it right on the head, bro.
That's it.
He's a big fucking baby.
He's a big fucking bitch.
He wants to be, look,
Like, like, we saw, we saw that corny-ass shit when he walked into the Twitter offices holding the same.
A billionaire bitch.
Oh, with the whole little, let that sink in.
I just bought Twitter Joe.
Right, right.
He must be a good tweeter so bad.
And it's just saying in them, bro.
You are not a good tweeter.
You are a reply guy.
Stick to that lane.
You are not a, you are not a content creator, bro.
You are a very rich guy who's very unfunny.
This is the best tweet I've seen on Elon Musk.
This is from someone named at A-R.
And this has like fucking 10,000 retweets.
He said, the hilarious tragedy of Elon Musk is he really wants to post, but he can't.
The man can't post.
It's not in his blood and it never will be.
He can spend all the money in the world and he'll never be a poster.
The real ones know exactly what I mean.
If it ain't in you, it ain't in you.
If you can't make a funny-ass joke about like a 7-Eleven hot dog or some shit, this life just ain't for you, bro.
You know what I'm saying?
This motherfucker went and brought a saint.
he brought a
what type of bald
his fucking avatar
like this you know what I mean
this will get them going
coming to a joke
and was like no no I own this place
you know what I'm saying like
fuck out of here man
lame ass nigga all that money
you still fucking lame
billion dollars couldn't buy you from being a bitch
ain't that some shit
that's crazy little bit
richest man in the world
And we'll never get...
$44 billion.
$4 billion.
Can't wash the bitch off.
Richest man in the world and it burns his soul that he will never get, quote, retweeted
with the cry-laphy emojis.
Right, right, right.
By only the worst people.
And he knows that.
He knows his only...
And that's the thing.
It's the same thing with Trump.
They know that the people who think they're funny are horrible.
Are unfunny.
They know they can't make no real people laugh.
They can't make real funny people.
will laugh.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Oh, shit.
All right.
Tyler.
I ain't go lie.
Trump,
Trump got a tweet over to you
that made me laugh, though.
I ain't go like that motherfucker.
That shit used to spook me.
He would go crazy, though.
I'm telling him like,
I'd be like,
I get him to guy.
He's mad at me.
Shark is mad at me
because I will occasionally
just pause and be like,
you have to admit that man is hilarious.
Some of his unintentional,
some of his intentional.
I didn't think he was hilarious.
But I had got him a guy now.
No, no, no.
When he told the,
when he told the,
don't Mike,
where is this?
But listen to me.
When he told he was on the phone with someone on Christmas Eve from the White House.
And he said, you still believe in Santa Claus?
Because at your age, it's marginal, right?
He was like, what the fuck?
He said that to a child, bro.
What the fuck are you doing?
Who is that?
Who is that congressman?
He talked about.
He said, he said, so-and-so looks disgusting, sweating out his shirt, nipples protruding.
And nobody rose Republicans better than Donald Trump, bro.
No one would talk shit on a Republican senator
funnier than fucking Donald Trump, bro.
That is a sad fact of America.
Fucking Elon Musk could never
He could never actually fucking make someone joke
Talking about their nipples, bro.
Yeah, but fuck both those guys in summation.
I'm muted Trump, so I ain't see them.
Same.
I get a goddamn he fried that nigga every so often.
I'm like, shee!
What's you going to do?
You're going to let them talk to you like that, right?
You'll be getting his issue, bro.
Tyler, can we talk about these Wendy's seasoned potatoes, bro?
I haven't fucked with them yet.
Have y'all had them?
I know you're a big Wendy's guy.
I'm a big Wendy's guy.
They don't have them in our Wendy's yet, though.
What?
Do they not have breakfast period at your shit or just not those?
They don't have those potatoes yet.
It says not available on the drive-thru window.
I did go to get them because they look fucking good as fuck.
They look like some fucking, you know, mom and pops diner type shit.
Like, yeah, they look good as hell.
Potato wedge, they're basically seasoned wedges.
And we need more wedges than fast food, bro.
I need, like, there's like no drive-thew I can really go to to get potato wedges.
It's only chicken spots.
Yeah, you got to go to like chicken spots.
Yeah, like, KFC will give you the wedges at the drive-thru.
But yeah, Wendy's, give me the fucking seasoned wedges.
Hell yeah, make that shit a all-day item, bro.
Wedges should have been popping, no, because that's like a, like you said,
there's not a lot of places you can go, so that's a market you could really tackle.
You feel me?
Not a lot of competition in the wedge, you know what I'm saying?
The wedge market is wide open fellas.
And the wedge market is, nigga, wide open, you feel me?
Throw some tots in there.
Let's get a potato fucking shack going.
You know what I mean?
Not enough place to sell totts is because tots always slap.
I've never tasted bad tots and nobody sells them shit.
Sonic's is the only fast food place that comes to mind.
You said what?
Sonic is the only fast food place.
Sonic's the only place.
Sonic's the only place.
Yeah.
And I'm always getting to touch.
I don't go to.
I don't really hit Sonic like that I used to.
But you know what I'm saying?
When I did, I got the touch every time I used to go.
But fuck, why want I not get the tots?
Who doesn't get the tots?
It's Sonic.
You know what I'm saying?
That's the only reason to go to Sonic past a certain age.
Yeah.
That and the cherry salmage.
The cherry lime is good as fuck too.
That cherry lime made.
And the drink.
Yes.
That chicken sandwich.
I think they had the Texas toast for the bread.
Went kind of brazy too.
You know what I'm saying?
They had some shit, dog.
The only tweet.
I just ain't a hot dog eating that's a nigga.
You ain't going to catch me paying for a hot dog.
Yeah.
I'll eat a hot dog
But I ain't paid for that motherfucker
You know what I mean?
Cookout hot dogs
That's crazy
And them shit's like
You said what?
You said what?
Cookout hot dogs
You said what?
I'm just saying that
Like I said I ain't going to order the hot dog
Can I get a hot dog
You ain't never going to hear me
I'm gonna get that motherfucker
I'm gonna get that a barbecue
You feel me
When that shit looked kind of burnt
And kind of hit me
Like oh that motherfucker
Look like hey
Run me that hot dog too
You feel me
That's how I'm gonna go about it
But cook out
Cookout got so much good shit
It's almost like
That's almost like
Cheesecake Factory
You know what I'm saying
At restaurants
Where it's like
The shit is staff
So much shit
But I love cookout
Bro
I've never had a bad meal
The cookout
Um
Shara and I went
And saw a black Adam
With the kids over the weekend
How was it?
It was that bad?
It's not even so terrible
That it's not even so terrible
That it's not even good bad
It's flat out terrible
It's right on the line
Of so bad
That it wasn't
enjoyable bad, it was like bad bad because they tried to do some allegories about Middle East occupation
and it was like, so are you talking about Iraq or are you talking about Palestine?
But either way, you are not landing this analogy. And if you actually carry the analogy
through to its conclusion, which I will not spoil the end of the movie, it's quite offensive.
Oh, wow. Oh, wow. And like they just, clearly they were trying to have it,
I mean, DC movies do this shit a lot where they're trying to have a movie that, like, Avengers.
And they're trying to have a moment that was in Avengers Endgame that was being built up to for 30 movies.
And they're trying to have it after building up to it for 40 minutes.
You know what I mean?
And I'm not going to, you know, spoiler-free review or whatever.
But like, it's just goofy, bro.
It was just like there's stuff that they wanted you to feel emotional about in the third act where it was like one person sacrificing another person.
And you're supposed to feel real sad about it.
and Sharre and I were saying afterwards,
I don't know that they did.
I literally didn't know they were friends.
They literally didn't tell us that these people liked each other.
Right.
So it's hard to fuck up the rock as black Adam, bro.
That's one of the biggest layups in comic book movies you could have.
That was like unanimously,
it was like, oh, they're making DC movies.
The Rock is Black Adam will be fire as fuck.
That's like Patrick Stewart as Professor X level obviously would be a great thing.
And they fucked it up.
The first third of the movie was interesting as fuck.
He was out there.
He was out there.
Yeah, probably.
You just got to.
I'll probably do that thing.
I'll probably go that route.
If you're trying to follow any of it, it's like.
But like the first third of it where they really looked like they were going to have him be an anti-hero and not the rock as black Adam.
I thought I was excited after the first third of that.
Yeah.
But then it was like, okay, here's his buddy, the 13 year old kid.
And you know what I mean?
God.
He's skateboarders everywhere.
Here's his buddy, the fucking Kandaki and Bart Simpson.
Oh, God.
It got real weird, real goofy.
Goof troop level shit.
It was tough, bro.
I wanted to like it, too.
I was hurt.
I was bummed out.
I watched the Tyler Perry movie this weekend and liked it.
There were some extenuating circumstances.
Yeah, I got high.
But I'm just saying, like, initially I watched it.
I'm like, man, shit kind of when I'm going to turn it off.
Got high, tapped back in.
And I honestly don't know.
It felt so good.
that maybe I was fucked up,
it wasn't paying enough attention at first.
So, and it wasn't like the, you know,
like the nigga had a fucking...
Which movie was a dread weave, you know,
or a fucking braid wig.
It wasn't none of that shit going on.
There was some, like some bad country actions.
Like, Mama.
I'm 19, Mama.
You can't hold me back, Mama.
I got to live my life, Mama.
You know, there's a little bit of that.
But, you know, the plot was.
kind of good, man. It was all right. It was all right. I learned a few things.
All right. Before we get out of here, I just want to say, we got a, we've had a handful of
messages over the last couple of weeks, really heartfelt messages from people, and we're not
going to read them or shout anyone out by name or whatever. But I just wanted to say from all of us
to everyone listening, if this show means something to you, we really fucking appreciate that.
And we think about that and talk about you all the time.
And so understand that that connection goes both ways.
And we appreciate you guys.
We appreciate you letting us know that the pod means something in your life.
It's a lot of fun for us to do.
But it's nice.
We've all been where you're at.
And so it's nice to know that we can help with some of the harder times for people out there.
And we appreciate you guys letting us know that we do that.
So that was for me.
I've just been thinking about some of those messages quite a bit over the last week.
And we just wanted to put that out there.
Yeah, man.
Greatly appreciate all y'all, man, for sure.
We do not take that shit for granted, for real.
We're just three friends shooting the shit
and to know that it means something to people
on a deeper emotional level that means the world does
because y'all are, you know, embracing the true genuine us.
You know what I mean?
So that's like the highest compliment to me.
Honestly, like it gives me a lot of purpose.
You know what I'm saying?
Like doing this shit, you know what I mean?
I'm like, damn.
We really helping people.
I feel blessed to be able to, you know what I'm saying?
To actually help you by being, this is a goofy-ass nigga.
Being me, you know what I mean?
Yeah, but you said it because, like, I have a day job that is fulfilling to me,
but, you know, there's a fair amount of, I wouldn't say, like, code switching.
There's a fair amount of, like, you know, button up the fucking dress shirt or whatever.
For sure.
And, John, I know the same thing for you.
But, like, this show is the thing that I do where I'm most, like, who I am when I'm by myself.
Right.
when I'm just with my wife or something.
And so it does mean something to me, and I know to you guys too, that like the thing
we do when we're most like ourselves has the best impact.
Like that, you know what I don't think that says something nice about us.
I just think that that's a nice thing about the world that the more like yourself you can
be maybe the more that means to people.
So that's nice.
For sure.
All right.
For sure.
I think that's all we got to say about that.
But again, thank you so much.
If you're listening, if you've been fucking with us, if you've been fucking with John and Tyler
since they were on SoundCloud.
and fucking, you know, posting every third or fourth episode they recorded because the other ones were lost to the ethers of the internet.
Thank you for sure.
If you just found us with the volume, thank you.
If you started this, your first episode, thank you too.
We'll be back on Thursday with another episode.
Thanks, y'all.
Bye.
Bye.
