You know, for sure you stayed. You know, that was the time. They gave you three days in the bullpen, right? So I'm like, all right.

My lawyer's there. They're trying to work some shit out for me to come out that night. They had just started, you could do the same. So my lawyer's talking to the DA. I go in the fucking jail. I'm not the jail, the precinct, 40th precinct. Right by my store now in the Bronx. All of a sudden, they're like, yo, Joe, you know, your lawyer's a good lawyer.

They're working it out. I'm about to go see the judge that night. The whole fucking building starts screaming. Niggies banging on the wall. They opened the door. Big pun, my nigga, with a leather suit. The hat and a bottle of champagne. They walked in the cell was this little.

I said, pun, what you're doing here? B. He said, yo, twin, we made the papers. We made the news. We're the biggest in the fucking game. You thought I was missing this shit? I said, yo, pun. They said, yo, pun had a warrant too. So the nigger comes in for sure.

I got to spend the night in jail now. You know, this is I'm about to go to 161. This nigga fucked up the shit. I'm so pissed at him. I'm sitting in the same. cell with the nigger. I'm like this sideways like good times. He take up the whole shit. With a leather

suit, they let him keep the shampers. Yo, let me tell you something. Bold to the story is we spend the night in 161. They left the cell open for big pun. They gave the nigger the phone. He had a problem with the phone.

He had like a phone. He got to call his wife every two seconds. So they gave him the phone in the cell in 161 and he would You ever slept with the cell open at 1-6-month? Nobody. I'm up in there with this nigga. I've been locked up 50 times.

I realize what's going on here. I'm like, yo, this shit crazy. Jimmy Barnes Cafe coming there with steaks, lobsters, seafood, rice, sodas. This, he feeds the cops, the inmates, to everything. And every time I went back to the back, I would see you and you were cheering for me. And I was just like, this is so amazing. But singles is like, it really challenges me in a way of like independently. So figuring out and problem solving within myself and understanding and seeing like what's going on on the court, what am I doing? And I have to be like more in tune with myself. I'm a natural leader. So doubles to me, I kind of am more external. And I'm able to kind of adjust based on what's going on.

But I really try to make my partners feel comfortable and like just feel good, right, so that they can play their best because I know it's kind of like it's crazy because like I know I'm good. So I want to make sure you're good so that we can be great. That's kind of like what happens. And is it almost like basketball? Do you watch tape on the other girls and be like, all right, she don't like it here? Yeah, so I don't watch a ton. I watch more things of myself because I like to see what I am doing. Because when you're on the court and what you think is happening versus what's actually happening are two totally different things.

The gap can be really big. So for me, sometimes I look at myself and say, well, I thought I was doing this or I felt this. but actually I was doing that. That's really good or I can do better. So I look at myself more. I lean more on my coach to give me, like, game plan and tactics and stuff like that because, you know, you can get in your head a lot

and feel like you can start overthinking, especially when it's a person that you've played and maybe are familiar with. I'm not going to act like I'm the tennis king, but I see a lot of players when they start to mess up, they start blaming the coach. Yeah. They start looking at them like,

you told me that, like, nah, they throw it on them. You know, Jay is the king of that when Fat Joe fuck up he'll throw that flag on me to divert. Yeah. Oh! Throwing, let it fly, Joe. I caught it, though.

Let me tell you. Let me tell you. It may not count. No doubt. I see them tennis players, they start like, soon as shit get a little funky out there, they look at the coach,

like, yo. Yeah. How is that? How does the coach from the stand? Yeah. It's actually. More eye contact, right? Because it's not when you get a break.

Because he ain't. No, because it's so far away, but it's funny. because my coach gets so mad at me because I don't look at him. He was like, can you like, and I'm like, he was like, did you see me do this? Did you hear me?

I was like, no. I could tell you right now, as good as you are, he is actually correct. The one thing you can step your game up is looking at your coach because you got to understand. They're watching everything

and they see what you ain't seeing. Yeah. Even though you're independent, you feel like I'm good enough to this, they see that one little thing that you don't see. They got that visual For sure. You know that, what we call that, the, peripheral. Peripherial view.

It's really the bird's eye view. Birds eye view. Because you're on the top. Yeah. So I definitely, I agree with you. But I'm not the kind of person that, like, blames people. So I'm like, if that didn't work, that was on me. Me too. If it worked, great. Like, I'm going to keep doing it. So, like, for me, I don't play the blame game. So for me, if it's like, I'm the only one that's out there, you can tell me something, but I have to execute. It's going to be on you. Yeah. I'm pouring this to die. and working out regimen.

How often do you work out? Sinish, you do a hell of a lot of moves. Yeah. No, it's very important. I mean, we're in our off-season right now, which is, you know, very short. But it's very important because we don't have a lot of time to really build.

Like, we don't have a true, like, our off-season is like six weeks. So, and we play basically 11 months out of the year. So a lot of the maintenance happens. I see you on that yacht and all that. We was at Maldives. No, I was in town. Turks and Cago.

Oh, Turks and Cagos looked at that night. Yeah. I love Turks and Cickekeke. That was my first time. But you looked like, I thought you was out there. No. It was beautiful. Man, that was the most clear water and the most beautiful place like I've ever been in my life.

Because athletes from other sports, For some reason, golf is their shit. Yeah, my dad said the same thing.

He was like, you would be really good. But he was like, you would get annoyed because it's a very, like, much skill, you know, very fine things. Like a little bit here, a little bit there. But that's tennis too. Like, if you hit the ball a little bit off, you just make a small tweak and it's going to change everything. So it's like, I think mentally I would understand, like, how to make changes. Who are some of the girls? I know we're going to get you for the real show.

And so from an inspiration standpoint, we wanted to be like them when we were coming up. And, you know, like my sister got a really bad knee injury that kind of like changed her trajectory. But ultimately, like, they were a huge inspiration for me. Just because I feel like visually you're seeing two black women doing this at the highest level and, like, showing you that it's possible. And I think, like, that's why I take so much pride in, like, what I do and showing up the way that I do because, like, I understand from being a young girl playing the sport how important representation is. Man, I love when I see you on your vacation

and you and your girl, the other tennis girl. Naomi, yeah. Naomi and y'all jumping up and down. You allowed to have fucking fun. Exactly. Tennis is one of them sports where another thing is, I hate injuries. Yeah.

Like you said your sister had a knee injury. So say like the Joker, it's one of my favorite tennis players. Okay. But, you know, I see him struggling in all of the kids. tournament because he got back problems. You know, it's a toll on your body. It does, but he's been playing for so long

and at such a high level. Like, it's bound to happen. Like, you can't beat the clock. And, I mean, it's amazing that he's doing what he's doing at this age. But it's not easy. I mean, again, we travel 11 months out of the year. You're playing constantly,

basically living out of a suitcase. Like, you really have to find your home, like, on the road. Like, you have to find things that make you feel at home when you're on the road. So it's like, it's really, it's not easy. It takes a toll mentally, physically, but yeah, Novak, he's amazing. And he's one of the few players that really hasn't had, like, many major injuries. Like, you know, thankfully, I haven't had any injuries, you know, that are major.

He's out of a bag in her garage. I do. She cooks a hell of a chicken. I'm watching, girl. I can't let me watch my Instagram story. He told me he was like, you have a very interesting life. You cook, you clean. I'm like, it's just regular shit.
