Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Another podcast from some SNL, late-night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel, help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and friends on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque.
Starting point is 00:00:42 Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year. Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds. I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth. Listen to Superhuman on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:01:06 A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media. Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifers Show. This is a place for raw, unfilled conversations with athletes,
Starting point is 00:01:24 creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. So let's get to it. Starting point is 00:01:54 and favorite authors. Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s. 84 was a wild year. It was a wild year. I don't think there's a more important year for black people. That should always be the expectation.
Starting point is 00:04:31 All right, man, that you go on here. Welcome back to the Richard Sherman podcast. I got my guy on here today. Bobby Wagner of the Washington commanders now, and they ball in. Talk about it. What up, champ? What up, bet? I'm good.
Starting point is 00:05:03 Yeah, I'm really good. You got to be good, man. Good, man. Yeah, I was running. You know what I mean? Did me 10 miles today. Yeah, staying in shape. I told him they, he, he, he's not.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Y'all asked me to cover somebody that's a whole different ordeal. My growing ain't got that. It's okay. Right. And you can do that no more. I seen young Emmanuel Forbes get him a book last week.
Starting point is 00:05:22 I know. I saw that. I saw that. We got to teach him how to get to the end zone, though. What is with these dudes sliding now? Nobody want to return to football? Yeah, he got to speak on that. I can't speak for him on that.
Starting point is 00:05:35 No, but he did it. And then young Kobe in Seattle did it. I said, Kobe, it's your first pick. You're supposed to get some of this. I didn't see. I heard he had a good game, but I wasn't able to catch it. Yeah, he got, he's playing safety now. So there's running two.
Starting point is 00:05:49 He kind of overlapped over the scene. A good hooker in the past lane, overthrewing. Hey, these money. Nice. We love those. Yeah, got to get those. So talk about what it's like to have DQ now. You know, you're in year 13, you know, in time, all pro,
Starting point is 00:06:08 nine time pro bowler, all world Bobby Wagner compared to, second year Bobby Wagner that was dealing with DQ for the first time. Well, I didn't have to deal with DQ. I had to deal with y'all. Y'all was the biggest thing I had to deal with. But, no, it's been cool. Like watching DQ, obviously we've, you know, we kept in touch. You know, I watched him from afar.
Starting point is 00:06:32 You see the growth, what he was able to do in Dallas and Atlanta and all the places that he was at. But to be able to come back and come to this new. team and be a part of this culture and change this culture of, you know, team where, you know, last year, four wins. We're at five now. Just trying to stay on that hungry. Like, there's more out there to get. Like, it's good to be where we're at, but there's so much more that we can get.
Starting point is 00:07:01 And so being with him and obviously being back with North has been a blessing for sure. Yeah, I mean, it has to, I just know the dynamic has to be so much different. the love and respect that DQ has for you, and of course, Norton has for you. But it's just, when you first came in, you was your young pup, and now you're such a chiseled veteran. I know the conversations between you and Nort, probably as I think about it, no, they probably didn't change that much. No, Nord don't really, you know,
Starting point is 00:07:30 Nord don't really see me no different than when I was when I first got to the league. So the conversations with him, they've matured a little bit, but they're still on the same line for sure. I just saw KJ in San Francisco the other day you know, he coaching now. How crazy is that? So crazy, especially for 49-nish.
Starting point is 00:07:50 I'm being honest. Sheesh. But, you know, you guys, you know. You guys? I mean, your uniform is different. It's different, but we don't got to go there. Talk about the growth in this young team, man, because I know DQ had to lean on your leadership
Starting point is 00:08:09 and that's why he brought you in because obviously one of the best players in the history of the game, but he needed somebody to lead this defense, and you've done a great job, and you could see the growth of the young secondary. We talked about it before the season, how much potential they had. And you talked about guys could be really special,
Starting point is 00:08:26 and they're going out there and putting it on tape. Yeah, I think you just got a, you know, a lot of culture, a lot of just everything is just trying to teach people how to win. You know, like when you come from different places, you know, there's guys that won in college, but winning in college and winning the league is totally different because, you know, you can play a team that's one in five and they can get the best of you if you don't, you know, prepare right.
Starting point is 00:08:50 So it's, you know, preparation is how to watch film, is how to take care of your body throughout the week, how to study, you know, doing those things consistently. Once you get a routine, it's all those things. It's not just myself. Zach has done a great job on the office and to help as well. You know, he's put together really amazing. and coaching staff as well that has allowed us to be where we're out today too. So I think it's a collective thing between the coaches, the players, everybody just being on the same page,
Starting point is 00:09:19 and everybody just believing that there's something special here. And there is. And it seems like you guys are doing a great job on the football field, putting it on tape. You know, Stanford guys. You know, Zach was going, of course, be a great leader. He's a Stanford guy. What's all the best of course? And Howard Bice.
Starting point is 00:09:40 by the way. Oh, speaking of Howard Bison, how is that going, Mr.MBA? It's going great, man. Love being back at school. There's a little sarcasm. There's a lot. I'm a reading a lot of sarcasm. It's funny because when I was in college, I used to hate having to balance the football and school aspect. And who would have thought 10 plus years later, I would voluntarily do it again. So it's cool. Yeah, yeah, I wouldn't, I would have, you know, waited a year maybe, but I like, I like that you accepted the challenge. Are you going to any in-person classes or is it just all online? No, it's all online.
Starting point is 00:10:20 I try to pop in, you know, and be around and go on campus a little bit, but all on them. Okay, so why are you popping on campus? Because you want to go into the business buildings and, you know, you've got the football team there, like to show football team love. You know, they're sponsored by Jordan. they bless your boy with some Jordans, you know, some Howard Jordans. Did they bless you or did Jordan bless you because you're a Jordan athlete or because it's kind of...
Starting point is 00:10:47 It's all family, you know what I'm saying? It's all family. Clearly, I ain't family. I ain't got no Jordans. I look at my mom. I think you were, one, you had your own shoot. I want Jordan. That is very unheard of as a football player.
Starting point is 00:11:06 And two, I think they, Like when I went to campus, I saw your face on the building. That's crazy. It wasn't on the building. It's a sliver of a picture. By a building that looked like it was on the building. So, you know, and I think you were one of the first people that I can remember that had actual cobies on the field. So you got Jordan's phone number in your phone, right?
Starting point is 00:11:31 And that's probably not even the biggest number you got in your phone because I'm sure you got tigers. you got Jay Z's. I know I saw you meet Hove. Will Smith was giving you shoutouts. I mean, I'm such a sea level celebrity around Bobby Wagner that it's really childish to even have this conversation. That's why I got to keep it about football. I will not confirm or deny any of the names mentioned. I'm just saying, America, he's a big deal.
Starting point is 00:12:01 He's one of the greatest to ever play. Hey, let me see football trivia for Bobby. Bobby Wagner. Oh, man, here we go. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Cut this part out. You got 10 all pros. There's only four people in the history of the game that have four people in the history of the game that have more.
Starting point is 00:12:23 They have more? That have more. Four. A lot of ghosts. Lawrence Taylor has some more. Not one. Lawrence Taylor. That's a great guest.
Starting point is 00:12:39 That's a great guest. Ray? It's a great guest as well. I'm starting to think you don't even appreciate how great you are. I'm going with some grace here, you know what I mean? You're going with some all-timers. The offense, too, or are just defense? Everything's included.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Jerry Rice is up there. Yes, he is. Okay, okay. Who paid a long time? Now you threw me off with the Lawrence Taylor should have like a quadrillion. He should have. He should have. I don't know how they...
Starting point is 00:13:10 I think he only played 10 seasons, though. I think. Who's the other three? See, you would have been close with Ray and Lawrence, but they got 10, too. I said more. So just wanted to, you know, clarify that for you. One of them played for the Green Bay Packers.
Starting point is 00:13:29 Played for the Green Bay Packers. One of them played for... Didn't play quarterback. Reggie White. There we go. Got. Okay. Good.
Starting point is 00:13:38 The other two were tackles. Do Thames? Nope. I think he probably got 10, too. Hey, I'm going to memorize off. Anthony Munoz. You wouldn't have got that one. And Bruce Smith.
Starting point is 00:13:54 That was my next guest with that one. Those are the only people who got more all pros than Bobby Wagon. That's crazy. That's a good group to be a part of it. I mean, you're going to be a part of a lot of exclusive groups when they get you your jacket. and I'm going to be there singing in the back ground. I knew it the whole time.
Starting point is 00:14:13 We're going to make sure your mic is cut off. Okay, so see, okay. But you're going to be there right next. You're going to be all good, everything, cool, but we just going to. Okay, so no mic for me. Okay. Okay. So now, now you're setting yourself up for after football.
Starting point is 00:14:28 You got your NBA. You got crumbled cookies in Renton, Washington at the landing. For all you ladies and gentlemen, if you need some cookies and you want to support one of your, favorite players in all-time great. Make sure you hit that crumble cookie in the Renton Land. And you know what I mean? We all eat healthy.
Starting point is 00:14:46 We all take care of our bodies, but you need that one day to enjoy that dessert. So why not enjoy that crumble in Atlanta? I love it. I love it. Talk about young Jaden Daniels. Is he all right? He went out of that game,
Starting point is 00:14:58 and then young Mariotta was throwing a ball around the Yard. He went. Watching, Markets play was really dope because he prepares You know, kind of like somebody who knows he's going to be a starter. And he compares like that every single day. And so to get his opportunity and watch him was just fun. You know, Jay's going to be okay. It's been fun playing with him and being around him, young I.E. Native.
Starting point is 00:15:26 So, you know, we just keep growing and growing, taking over the league by storm. But it's been fun. He's real cool down the earth. You definitely would have loved to play with him. Yeah, he looks like a fun kid. It looks like he always cool and collected, never panicked, plays under control, and then he's trying to thread the needle. That boy's pinpoint.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Oh, yeah, his accuracy is crazy. Yeah, some of the past, I saw get in there, I said, ooh, I don't think, I don't know if everybody's paying attention. This boy is threading the needle. That's confidence, too. To his credit, he prepares amazing. Like, he's here early, leaves late, constantly watching film, constantly working on something.
Starting point is 00:16:07 So it's cool. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged. It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential. Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year. Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
Starting point is 00:16:30 I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth. Listen to Superhuman on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined.
Starting point is 00:16:57 And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment, and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music. The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast, it's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger. So, if you've ever supported me, or you're just chasing down a dream,
Starting point is 00:17:29 this is right where you need to be. Listen to the Clifford show on the IHeard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defying the odds.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed. And finding ways to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before. And he knows. Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game. We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
Starting point is 00:18:07 I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too. Steve Nass would get that thing.
Starting point is 00:18:28 That man, hell get the flying. man, he running up the court, licking his fingers, why he got the ball, like, after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick. Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app,
Starting point is 00:18:43 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This is Saigon, the story of my family and of the country that shaped us. The United States will not stand by and allow any power, however great, take over another country. From My Heart Podcast, Saigon. Please allow me to introduce Joseph Sherman.
Starting point is 00:19:03 You don't think I'm serious about a free Vietnam? I should stop talking so much. I like hearing you talk. One city, a divided country, and the war that tore America apart. This is for Vietnam. I've taken a hit from Japanese ground fire. Do you rate me? They're pouring petrol all over him.
Starting point is 00:19:20 He's holding matches. I'm on a landmine. For free time. Let's get out. Freedom from Vietnam. Run! Saigon, starring Kelly Marie Tran and Rob Benedict. Sting, here's madness.
Starting point is 00:19:34 The world should hear about this. There's a fire coming to this country, and it's going to burn out everything. Listen to Saigon on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, it's Edwin Castro, also known as Castro 1021. And I'm Conky, his best friend and business manager. And we've got a new show called The 1021 Podcast. I'm taking you behind the scenes on how I became one of Twitch's most popular streamers. We also love sports.
Starting point is 00:20:05 And with the World Cup right around the corner, we'll be breaking down the biggest storylines ahead of the big tournament here in the USA. Listen to the 1021 podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. So what's something that's different about this commander's locker room, building your routine that's been different than the, the years. Obviously, you're on the East Coast, and I know that time difference is slapping you in the face every chance. It's going to slap you in the Fells tonight when you
Starting point is 00:20:38 try to watch the Lakers game. It starts at 1030 Eastern. That's the biggest thing, to be honest. Like, everything else is cool. Like, the time difference has been cool. You know, you know, you know people on the East Coast, but, you know, you rarely travel over here. So being able to connect with those people, but that's been the toughest thing is like, you know, when you want to watch a Thursday night football game, you know what I'm saying? And why? watch your boy, you know, after the show, it's tough, you know, to stay up because it's like midnight by that time. So that's been the biggest adjustment, but, you know, you are one of the few people that I will stay up and, you know, watch a, you know, give commentating and have your
Starting point is 00:21:17 fun. So I appreciate that. I appreciate that. We got a really fun game with you all this year. I can't wait for that game. Yeah, that's what I'm going to be. Yeah. I think it's in Philly. Oh, I think so. Yeah, that's going to be fun. But, but yeah, man, that's what was blowing my mind the year in Tampa. I was trying to watch the Laker game, and you're sitting there. And you know, the Lakers just, they'll let you down. We'd be down 15, and you'd be sitting there like, I didn't stay up to 12, 45 to just watch y'all get beat by 30.
Starting point is 00:21:43 Or they'll be down 15, and you'll be like, all right, well, maybe it's a good time to go to bed. You go to bed, then you wake up, and they won by 20. And you're like, dang, like, y'all couldn't do that when I was up. Right, right. I stayed up the whole time. Maybe I'm bad luck. Maybe I need to stop watching.
Starting point is 00:21:58 No, no, you're not bad luck. but I'm pretty sure Lakers are watching this. Lakers, I do need a black jersey. Please, can you see you play a black jersey? Thank you. Send him a black five, four, four, five, nine, either one. I think he, oh, my bad, my bad. I thought it's college number and then Rams that one time in there.
Starting point is 00:22:19 Bronte got nine. You know what I'm saying? So, you know, just put five, four. You dope? It would be dope. It would be dope. I got one of those. bad player.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Should have known. No, it was when it was so terrible and they were trying to get people on the stands. No way. It was no way. They were like, hey, could you come to the game?
Starting point is 00:22:40 I came and they gave me a jersey and we did like a little presentation. It was probably 11,000 people at that game. Oh, man. Hey, but still, that's a dream for people in Kelly. I ain't going to lie.
Starting point is 00:22:52 I felt it felt pretty good. It felt good. So are you talking to the young guys about investing about, you know, Are you being that old head? You try to. I mean, I don't, you know, force it on. But you definitely have, there's a group of guys that are interested
Starting point is 00:23:10 and you try to pour into those guys. But you, you know, you more try to figure out how they can take care of their money and understand that this game does not last forever. You know, you definitely have to prepare for, you know, when that time comes and you can no longer be a part of his league from that perspective. and you want guys to walk away with something. I think it's unfortunate when you hear all these stories where guys walk away and they play,
Starting point is 00:23:36 then put their body on the line and they have no financial stability that they should have. And so I push that more than anything. But I think the thing that I think I try to push too is like using your platform and using this time while you have it to figure out what is your next thing. Like what is something that you're interested in
Starting point is 00:23:54 because, you know, the commanders, the Seahoggs, the Rams, they all have people that can help you into that world. You just got to think about it a little bit. I think we in a dope sport where, you know, unless you're Aaron Donald, you work out like three hours, and there's so many more hours that you can do with your time. You know, you had a couple more hours studying film. The rest can be, you know, growing and thinking about what that looks like. And so, you know, I try to encourage guys to think about that and look into that.
Starting point is 00:24:27 No, that's perfect. Have you got to have any conversations with Magic? You know, he's been incredible in just a venture, investment space, owning restaurants, obviously. We both from the Southern California area, I can say L.A., because y'all take it so disrespectfully out there. We all together. Oh, now we're together. Because that person was I.E., the Valley, you know. Y'all try to act like we don't exist.
Starting point is 00:24:53 That's all it is, you know what I'm saying? But now, y'all respects it a little bit now, you know. all good. I don't know. I don't disrespect nobody, you know? Mm-hmm. I mean, y'all exists.
Starting point is 00:25:06 I mean, we got, we got a document, you know, a lot of... But speaking of I, what's going on with Kawhi, man? What's going on with my guy? Uh, I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:25:19 I thought he was going. Yeah, I thought he was, you know, going to be in a good space. I'm not sure where he's at, but hopefully, I mean, he has you know, everybody that can help him get on the right track. And, you know, I'm hoping that he's able to get out there and help that team because the city is always, always, always on fire when the Lakers and the Clippers are doing well.
Starting point is 00:25:40 And guys going to that game and seeing that game is always a pleasure. So hopefully he's able to figure that out. Were you? Well, I can't ask exactly where you live in. But you're staying in a house, you stand in an apartment out there because I know your house in Washington, you have to miss it, you know, with your own. own private lake and things of that nature, just a beautiful scenic environment, you know, you have to miss that a little bit.
Starting point is 00:26:06 Of course I miss it. Of course I miss it. I also miss, you know, visiting your man-made pond that you made in front with all the fishes that you have to watch out, you know, for people to come and eat them because it's so crazy and rare. It's pretty amazing. They don't make land like that no more. But, yeah, no, I do, I do miss it a little bit.
Starting point is 00:26:32 Yeah, yeah, the fans said they miss you too. You know, even at your crumble event, you know, there were fans wearing your jersey and they sold out of your jersey. I'm sure the store was very happy that your event went so well because people are still buying Bobby Wagner jerseys, even though you're not playing for the team anymore. You meant so much to the franchise. What do these fans mean to you and their support,
Starting point is 00:26:53 even when you are playing for another team? I still hear fans talking about, man, I still cheer for Bobby. I don't know a lot about the commanders, but as long as he's out there, I'm cheering for him. Yeah, no, it's always been love. You know, no matter where I'm at, whether I'm there or somewhere else,
Starting point is 00:27:07 it's always been love. If I do something, you know, within the city, they always show love. And so I'm always, you know, grateful for them and always grateful for love that they show me. And like I said, before, I will forever show that love back, whether it's, you know, when I'm in the city, when I'm out of the city,
Starting point is 00:27:23 it's always a connection with me that I have, you know, for them to be able to embrace me 13 years ago and, you know, still show me that same love. I'm always connected and they always have a piece of my heart. And, you know, I'll be connected in different ways. You know, I think as the years keep going and hopefully we find a new way to connect. No question. I'm sure they'll find many ways to connect with you in a hundred years or whenever you want to be done playing this game because you get to play forever because your body don't fall apart. Mr. I take care of my body.
Starting point is 00:27:56 Mr. I was born in the lab. Mr. I just drink a lot of water, you know. I don't think that's, I don't think that's the only. Now I got a challenge for you. Seahawks, Mount Rushmore. Bobby Wagner and what other three? Man, I got a.
Starting point is 00:28:18 Yeah. You know, put me in that. And you can't say. They die line, die line, die line, die line. Can I get five? I give you five. I'll give you five. How about that? You said the question, you took your way.
Starting point is 00:28:36 I took one away already. I'll give you two more. I'm going, you, I'm going, Marshawn, I think I'm going to be biased in this one. No question. No, I'm going. You, Marshan, no disrespect to,
Starting point is 00:28:56 to any other the former players. It's much love. But I just, I was fortunate to play with some really amazing people. So that's, they're going to be in mind. It's you, Marshaun, Cam, KJ, and Russ. Great. And please, everybody else that did I mention is the, I only have that many slots. I had to choose.
Starting point is 00:29:21 Look, the big three going to be mad because we. Ask me next week, I'll change them. So don't be mad. Look, we know we never did anything before the big three. I know the big three is going, you know, Cliff, Mike, and, and T-Matt. Black, don't be mad at me. Me, Bain, don't be mad at me. Man, it's so many.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Earl. Earl, Doug. Don't be mad. Doug was going to be upset. You know, like, didn't even like, you know, you could, Big Wall, don't be mad. you know, large and they'll be mad. Right,
Starting point is 00:30:00 RIP Cortez. It was a lot of grace. It's so many grace, man. There's so many grace to say. So just minimize that. I think they're doing like a top 50 or something. Do you remember that one time we played basketball and you entered the game with an offensive foul?
Starting point is 00:30:16 When are we going to run that game back, you know, in a way that's more fair of an ending? You know, that doesn't end in controversy per se. I remember mind my own business, and I remember being challenged to play basketball. And I remember going into a hostile environment, that being your home. And, you know, it was a very big place, a lot of scenery, a lot of animals. I think your family was there.
Starting point is 00:30:49 There was a lot of things stacked against me. And, you know, ref was in your favor. He just wasn't in your favor in that one. You know, sometimes you got to do your pushups. You can run. You get to do your footage. I still got the footage. If there was an offensive file, you know, we slowed the tape down.
Starting point is 00:31:05 You can see your shoulder, you know what I mean, dipping down, you know, and clearly, you know, I. It's the basketball movement. The basketball movement. I've been working on my three-point shot. And, you know, I'm not going to brag that it's falling at a, at least a 23% tilt. But it's falling at about 23%. But I wasn't gardening. And so that probably brings it down to like 9%.
Starting point is 00:31:41 I don't know about that math. I'm going to check on that math. I'm about to go out in the back. You know, kind of ordeal. Oh, good. I mean, you could have a basketball. believe in your backyard for sure. No, no, no, no. See, now you're going somewhere
Starting point is 00:31:59 that we weren't going. If y'all think of just hosting a basketball tournament, you know, there's land that Richard knows about. And he can host at least like 54 teams. Wow. Well. Or 25.
Starting point is 00:32:16 Wow. A lot of teams. Can't host how many. Maybe not zero. Zero, actually. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged. It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque.
Starting point is 00:32:30 Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Starting point is 00:32:53 A win is a win. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
Starting point is 00:33:22 One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment, and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music. The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast, it's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger. So, if you've ever supported me, or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be. Listen to the Clifford show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
Starting point is 00:33:56 And I'm C.J. Toledano and our podcast Point Game is about defining the odds. Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed. And finding ways to win no matter what. He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never seen before. And he knows without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game. We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs. I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have
Starting point is 00:34:23 Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall. And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense. And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too. Steve Nash would get that thing. That man, hell get the flying. He run up the court, licking his fingers why he got the ball. Like, after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick. Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball. So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This is Saigon, the story of my family and of the country that shaped us.
Starting point is 00:35:04 The United States will not stand by and allow any power, however great, take over another country. From IHeart Podcast, Saigon. Please allow me to introduce Joseph Sherman. You don't think I'm serious about a free Vietnam? I should stop talking so much. I like hearing you talk. One city, a divided country. and the war that tore America apart.
Starting point is 00:35:25 This is for Vietnam. I've taken a hit from Japanese ground fire. Do you rate me? They're pouring petrol all over him. He's holding matches. I'm on a landmine. For free time. Let's get out.
Starting point is 00:35:39 Freedom from Vietnam. Run! Saigon, starring Kelly Marie Tran and Rob Benedict. Sting here's madness. The world should hear about this. There's a fire coming to this country and it's going to burn out everything. Listen to Scyon.
Starting point is 00:35:53 Saigon on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, I'm Jared Adano. You might know me as that loud guy who yells out, help on the internet. Help! Somebody! Please! But there's so much more to me than that. I'm an actor. I'm a comedian, and recently, I've become quite the helper myself. And on my new podcast, Hope from a Hypocrite, I'll be changing lives, helping people in need with my sage advice and thoughtful solutions. Sike, I'm a comedian. I'm not qualified to give good advice. Join me and my comedian friends as we riff, rant,
Starting point is 00:36:29 recommend some of the most legally dubious advice known to man. If I'm calling you, even if you're on your phone, let it ring twice. One ring is too scary. Oh, cream a chicken suit. Hey, cream, cream a chicken suit. This is Help from a Hypocrite, the worst advice from the dumbest people you know.
Starting point is 00:36:49 Listen to Help from Hypocrat as part of the My Cultura podcast network, available on the IHartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. How long are you going to play? Because, I mean, at this point, like, you look great. You know, I know you're not a PFF guy, but your PFF's sixth rated linebacker, and I remember a team picked up a few linebackers because they were PFF graded, and there was the grades that they, but that's the story for a different day. But you're...
Starting point is 00:37:20 Don't bring me a... You're playing at a high level. I'm not injecting you into controversy, but you're playing at a high level. You've been playing at a high level. You continue to play. What's going through your mind in some of these games, you know, I mean,
Starting point is 00:37:36 are you motivated by, you know, people saying you fell off? You know, sometimes you need that. I think it's just fun being around this group. I think playing with Frankie, Louvo, it's been amazing, obviously. Oh, he looks like he insane. He's, man, his energy is just contagious. What he's been able to do on the field, just been amazing to be a part of.
Starting point is 00:37:59 Obviously, Jayden, where he's been made amazing to do, like, this culture and, you know, being around these guys have been cool to be a part of and, you know, wanting to be a part of building something, which is cool. But, yeah, honestly, I just keep playing, man. You keep playing.
Starting point is 00:38:15 You really don't think about the end. You let it go. Obviously, I'm here this year, and I keep, you know, want to play at a high level. and then you continue to figure out what that looks like. Obviously, there's more business evolved now, more financials and things of the nature that plays a part in everything. But I'm happy where I'm at and I'm happy with how things are going. Do you get to do anything?
Starting point is 00:38:40 Because, you know, I'm more motivated by the slight, you know, me. They told me I fell off and I was like, yeah. But, you know, Bobby's way calmer and, you know, internally, most. motivated. I have moments. The cameras catch your moments. They don't really catch my moments. Right. Tusha. I was about to say, like you said, you're in the city. So you find yourself going, doing more things, walking to places, and just like kind of like getting the experience. Yeah. I mean, like I said, I haven't spent too much time on the East Coast. So if I come all the way over here and spend the majority of my time in the house, I just think it's, you know, not the best
Starting point is 00:39:18 thing to do. And so I try to get out, I try to walk to places that I like to eat or whatever as much as I can. You know, I try to go out with the guys as much as I can just experience everything. You're hanging out? You're hanging out, bro. If you give me the word, I come out. If it's
Starting point is 00:39:34 just on some random stuff, I might stay in. But no, it's been cool. I think the energy, even being in the city, you know, I haven't been in a city like this. And so to see the love and have that conversation where you walk up to somebody, and they say like, man, like, thank you for giving me something to look forward to.
Starting point is 00:39:53 You know, we've been wanting this so bad and to see you guys care and, you know, provide that for us. And it's been cool. So that part's been cool, too. Yeah, I bet. I bet. I mean, it's been a long time so they had something to cheer forward. This team looks, it looks good. And it looks like it's built the right way of the right people.
Starting point is 00:40:12 And you know, DQ, I knew DQ when he got in there that he was going to build it the right way. You guys obviously lost a big piece to the puzzle in your detackle, Jonathan Allen and went down. Just talk about him and just how important he was and how that injury changed things for you or just, you know, next man up mentality. I know how that goes. But he just seems like one of those guys that's been here and been a foundational piece of this organization for so long that that would have to sting a little bit. Yeah, for sure, because first of all, he's an amazing leader and a guy, like you said, been around here for a long time. And so he's been through the ups and downs and things like that.
Starting point is 00:40:57 And so, you know, you look at a guy like that and you want to win for him and you want to have success for him because he's seen it all from this organization standpoint. And so losing him definitely hurt. you know, you definitely want to play for him. He's a big piece on the field as well. You know, he's very disruptive. And so we just, you know, find a way to, you know, develop the guys younger than him and lean on deep pain and just continue to, you know, figure out how we can keep this thing going.
Starting point is 00:41:31 Well, I love it, man. It looks like you're having fun out there. You still having fun? Still having fun. So that's the thing with me. If ever has not become fun, that I, that's my time. But it's still fun. Yeah, it looks like.
Starting point is 00:41:42 It looks like it. And you got Norton. I'm sure he's having a good time. I can't wait to see him when we get your game in Philly. I get to see Norton and, you know, telling, you know, because the mind got to control the body. I don't know if you understood that. They don't know.
Starting point is 00:41:57 You guys don't understand. Don't let the body control the mind. The mind controls the body. That's greatness. Oh, man. It's something so small and like it was probably like he was like joking a little bit, but like the depth of that meaning is so crazy that people just don't understand. And he's so consistent with the messaging that it's pretty much just etched in your head.
Starting point is 00:42:22 Yeah. And so you just, he just, you look at him. He just do this. And he's just like, I'm tripping. Let me lock in. Let me lock it. Yeah. I love it, man.
Starting point is 00:42:33 I love it. Well, I ain't going to take too much more of your off day. I know you got things to do, people to see, business meetings to go to and things of that nature. but I appreciate you sparing some time for your boy. I'm going to check in with you later on in the season. Bring your best fit, man, for Thursday. Yeah, I'm going to bring something good for you. Something nice, man.
Starting point is 00:42:51 Yeah, I'm going to bring something super nice. Not, you know what I mean? I know it ain't nothing out of your collection. You know, I ain't on that level yet, but probably something right here. Not here. Yeah, because I still, you know, I still don't get other people's stuff. You have your own stuff. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:43:05 You get other people stuff like Jordan. Does Jordan send your own suits every year? Like, which Jordans are you wearing any games right now? Is it the three? I think I will wear the three this week, but 11s. Eleven's are my favorite. 11th are my favorite. There are a lot of sneaker heads that will go to your closet and pass out because of all the quality shoes you have.
Starting point is 00:43:28 And look at you. And then they'd probably be mad because half of them, they're not worn. You save them for a special occasion. They're just like, man, when are you going to bring these out? What occasion you save? I don't know. I don't know. We've got to figure out.
Starting point is 00:43:41 No, no, no, no. I want you to figure it out now. I don't take peer pressure very well. So you're not going to do that to me, huh? Another life lesson for the kids out there. Let nobody peer pressure, you do anything. Right, right. Don't let your friends peer pressure you
Starting point is 00:43:59 into telling them where you're going to wear the shoes that you're probably never going to wear because they're just sitting in your closet. Kids, wear your shoes. The shoes. Where? Especially if you have your Richard Sherman's. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:11 And also pick Remember, be careful how you pick your friends I still have my pair I wish you would send me a pair of Jordans I got to buy them from the store I just bought some. That's not sure I've been here class You have some Jordans too
Starting point is 00:44:27 You have Jordans, you have Kobe's that's never been seen before. Hey, hey, don't bring the mama into this. But saying, you got your own slippers with your face on it, you got your own shoes You know what I'm saying? It's crazy. This isn't about me. Between you and B. Small, I can't keep up.
Starting point is 00:44:45 You got your own venture fun. So let's not get crazy. We're talking about shoes. You got your own venture fun. He got his own fun. Not about me. Not about me. Oh, my bad.
Starting point is 00:44:57 I love that. What I say is that? Rich Surm podcast. Yeah. Yeah, about Bobby Wagner. How much jewelry do you own, Bob? Jewelry? I don't own to many.
Starting point is 00:45:12 I own watches. That count. My watch collection is pretty nice. We're going to talk about this. You got a brightling yet? Huh? You got Brightling? I won't for forever to deny what I have.
Starting point is 00:45:26 Okay, so now we're not talking. Well, I only say this to make a... Like this? No, I don't have nothing on right now. Oh, okay, okay. I've got to go get my Brightling and I need to go put it on. I just finished running.
Starting point is 00:45:37 I got a couple of Lexes, I got some APs, some paddics. You know. Well, you want to have to... have to get a Seahawks Brightling because they're doing a deal with every team. I'll show you when I get my, I'm aware, I'm aware of that guy. I'm aware of that guy. They say less.
Starting point is 00:45:53 You can see. Say less. Put me on. I'm going to put you on the guy. I think that's going to be sweet. Yeah, they only make it 104 of them, so you got to get yours why they last. Why 104? Well, they just did a deal with the NFL. It's their first year licensing with them, and so they're trying to make sure it's limited edition. So they're just making
Starting point is 00:46:13 a hundred and four each team. Exactly. Yeah, yeah. That's just something they're doing. Well, again, I'm going to let you, what you're about to go do now? You know, keep your routine, go into the facility. Yeah, probably going to yoga. I got yoga.
Starting point is 00:46:26 And then, yeah, then class. That's how you last in the league, kids. Flexibility. Body maintenance. Chilling, always. Right, right, all that. Appreciate you, Bill. I appreciate you.
Starting point is 00:46:40 The volume. podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel help an a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some retirement homes.

Listen to Superhuman on the I-Hard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On The Look Back at it podcast. From 1979, that was a big moment for me. 84 was big to me.
Starting point is 00:48:10 I'm Sam Jay. And I'm Alex English. Each episode, we pick a year, unpack what went down, and try to make sense of how we survived it. With our friends, fellow comedians, and favorite authors. Like Mark Lamont Hill on the 80s. 84 was a wild year. It was a wild year. I don't think there's a more important year for black people.
Starting point is 00:48:29 Listen to Look Back at it on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying.
