This is an IHeart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.

Winning on Clay is an art.
The rallies are relentless.
And at the French Open, only the toughest survive.
I'd know.
I competed there for decades.
Join me, Renee Stubbs, on the Renee Stubbs tennis podcast for no-nonsense breakdowns of the
biggest matches, the toughest players, and the moments that define Roland Garris.
She can win.
She's an outsider to win the French fame.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lina Rubakina is arguably the best player in the world right now.
And I actually can win on any service.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Welcome back to the Richard Sherman podcast, and I know it's been a while, but there's going to be some changes this year.
Every single week, we're going to have my guy, Big Play Slay on the show to co-host with me, discuss Pittsburgh Steelers, the league, cornerback play, whatever's going to.
on. Big play, talk to him.
What's up? What's up, everybody, man? As y'all know, man, I'm here with my boy,
Sherr, man. I'm proud of being on the show. Looking forward to it, man. It'll be a great year
for us, man. So we finally got that thing going, man. At least we could connect in some kind of
way. No question. No question. We got to connect, but we got big news already. Let me see that
ring. You know, that thing looked like a mountain. Come on now. You know, you know it. You know
is here. You know what I was here? Finally got, hey, you had to go get that boy.
Yeah, you had to. You had to. Do it feel good, don't it? Man, look, felt better than
It makes the winning feel real.
It's like legit.
Legit, legit.
I'm talking about just watching it and then, man,
you put that thing on your finger.
I went home with it, man.
I had the whole city looking at Marine.
I love it.
How was the ceremony?
How was all that, seeing the guys?
I mean, the ceremony was good, man.
I had some mixed emotions in there, man, just seeing my guys, man.
Every coach, everybody that came to me that's in the front office,
like, man, slavery really wish you was here.
And, you know, but, you know, the business,
part of is the business part of, but man, that's
going to always be home. I appreciate
the affiliate organization for sure
and all the fans there. So I'm always thankful
for them, man. That's it. You know what I'm saying?
I'm thankful because I got, I'm a champ.
I'm a champ. If y'all want me there,
then y'all don't let me walk away then.
Y'all didn't, y'all wanted me there so bad.
They got dang it, give me a little change
and I'll be right there with the Philadelphia Eagles
number two on my chest.
But, you know, y'all don't want it that bad.
You know, everybody say how bad they want it,
you know, when you're gone.
Oh, man.
We show do wish you.
We let you get away, but you let me get away.
Hell, yeah, man.
But it's all good, man.
It's all love.
There's no hard feelings at all right now, for sure.
I can't be no hard feelings after no Super Bowl win.
Yeah, I mean, in a good note now,
we would have lost at Super Bowl.
It's probably not hot.
Right, right.
Well, let's talk about your new team then.
Let's talk about your new team because you're in Pittsburgh now,
Pittsburgh Steeler, Big Place Slay.
Y'all got A-Rod now.
It's a lot of speculation in the offseason,
whether he was coming to Pittsburgh, whether he's not coming, you know, he's retiring.
Tell me how that's been.
Obviously, you guys have gone through OTAs and minicamp,
and there's always this kind of, I don't know, this, I don't know,
this understanding and kind of perception of what A Rod is and who he is as a player,
who he is as a person.
How has he been to you?
Man, he's been great, man.
You know, he came directly at the minicamp, you know,
so we had a couple days to hang around and talk about.
And, man, he had to host his own little team meeting himself, man, and talk to the team and let us know, like, hey, man, he's all in.
He's looking forward to winning, man.
He's always been, you know, competitive.
He always loved his Pittsburgh Nation, the fact of how their fans travel and all this kind of stuff.
So he loved to play for this kind of organization.
So it's been good, man.
He's been a good dude.
And with him coming in, definitely me and him as veterans on both offense and defense,
can get some knowledge off to these young guys, man, because, you know, this is something new for the Steelers.
stills ain't been this type of, type of guys in the minute,
know, making these big trades, these type of big signings
and, you know, looking forward to winning.
Yeah, and then on top of that, you got that.
But then you got T.J. Watts signing a record deal.
I mean, with three years, $120 million, let me hold something.
I'm talking about telling you, man, he made, he made,
in three years, he's probably going to make more than what his brother was.
And his brother was really that dude, too.
So, and that's what's crazy.
That boy, that's a money and rich he deserves,
because he is arguably the best player,
defensive player in his league.
And so I'm happy for it because it dues me justice
because I need him getting after that quarterback or like ASAP.
No question.
Then you talk about Cam Hayward had it all pro season last season,
another great veteran presence.
Then you look up and you think in the secondary,
you got Joey Porter Jr.
You got Minka Fitzpatrick,
but then you don't got Minka Fitzpatrick.
And all of a sudden you got Jalen Ramsey.
And have you had a chance to connect with him?
And, you know, I remember you saying y'all used to have a group chat or something.
How has that been?
It been good, man.
We and him been chatting the whole time and not knowing, like, I had a feeling that he was getting traded to us,
but not knowing what the trade was, you know what I'm saying.
So he called me a day before, man.
We were just chopping it up like, hey, man, Slate what is how it is over there,
just giving him the updates and then we know, like, man, it's good over here, man.
You know, just hard work.
You know, the guys are ready to learn and da-da-this.
and, you know, giving a little blueprint I know
because I'm new just as much as he knew.
So, but when I saw the trade go through,
I'm thinking at first, it was just,
it's just like some draft picks or something.
I thought it would be me, him, Mika, all those back.
I'm like, look here, boy, it'll be crazy.
Then I've seen the final results.
Like, okay, this is a little different.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
So I'm just looking forward to it, you know.
You know, I met Mika for a couple times down there, man.
He's a, man, smart player, man.
He is what Pittsburgh Nation is for sure.
because definitely being in that building, man.
He's 10 toes down.
He hunts to work.
He leads by example.
So he was a great, great little teammate for me for the six days I was there around
that.
I was looking forward to seeing that because that was been my real true first time
actually coming in with another all pro at that safety position.
Instead of that guy, I kind of earned it with already.
You know, I earned it with GQ.
And shoot, that's really it.
That's my only all pro safety I play with GQ.
And I play with Pro Bowl and I play with Coondry did.
but a guy that was already fully established
that knows the game, that's been there.
This is going to be my first all pro,
but now, you know, I'm replacing with another all pro,
and I feel like it's one of the best in the game as well,
that's Jaylon Ramsey.
So it's going to be great, man.
You know, I get to play alongside another all pro.
It's going to be my first time doing this.
So I'm looking forward to it, man.
I'm excited.
And, you know, we go see what it's going to do, man.
Yeah, that's for sure what we're going to do.
We're going to see what it's going to do
because that's a lot of stuff.
in that corner room.
And, you know, with them trading for Minka, it makes me feel,
and, you know, just outside looking at in, I don't got no insider information,
that Jalen's going to have a role at safety and nickel and play it like that.
And maybe they bring a safety in on nickel downs,
and he bumps down to the nickel out of the safety position.
But you got Joey Porter, Jr., who's been there and established himself as a starter
in Pittsburgh.
Then you come in with an all pro like yourself and all pro like Jalen Ramsey.
I'm interested to see how he responds both mentally or, you know, outwardly.
And because you, you've got to respect it.
You got to respect the talent that they brought in the old heads.
And if you, if you receive it right, I think there's benefit there.
You know, you bring to all pros at your position.
You soak your knowledge.
You become a better player.
You elevate your game.
You elevate your practice habits.
You elevate your film study habits.
You learn things you couldn't have learned otherwise because you've just been learning from
yourself.
You had Pat Peterson there a couple years ago when he was young.
He had Pat there, so I'm sure he soaked up knowledge there, but you got two more coming in.
So, you know, it's one of them years for him where it's a contract year, money on the line.
You're only signed for a one-year deal.
So, you know, if he handles this right, this could go really well for him.
But, you know, young dudes sometimes don't handle things like this right.
And it ends up being a detriment.
And I don't think that's going to affect you or Ramsey, because you, you know,
You guys are pros.
You guys are pros, pros.
You guys have been in this game long enough.
Hey, y'all gonna show up,
strap your cleats up, go out there and put it on the show.
Come on now.
Hey, there ain't nothing to it.
Just go out there and just pause, man.
So like I said, it ain't,
nothing I've never been in.
You know, I've been challenged before.
I got guys that come in.
I had draft hits coming in that's supposed to be replacing the slate.
All it is is, is, hey, man,
I'm here to give you the knowledge.
I'm always going to be competitive,
but I'm a competitive in a way of just, like, helping.
You know what I'm saying?
I'm not here to, like, downplay nobody.
I'm not here to sit inside,
I ain't helping the kid get grade or none of that.
That's not how I operate because that's not how I was done.
So I'm here to give him everything, every tutor,
and the best man wins.
How will we do it?
I don't even know how the packages go look.
I don't know what Jaylor am doing.
Exactly.
All you know is you coming out there and you're saying,
hey, who you want me to cover any cover?
Yeah, that's it.
I'm just there.
You know, I'm here to do my thing.
You got familiarity with this defense and this coordinator, though.
Yeah, yeah, a lot, man.
You know, that's my D.C.
in Detroit.
gave me my first all pro.
You know, he's considered as basically one of the corner of the gurus for me.
He kind of like set me down and I was in his re-room every day almost with him and the
DB coach learning.
They taught me how to study film.
They taught me a lot of things.
So, man, you know, I'm like his first little young protege for his first defensive coordinator.
And, you know, I panned out very well.
And he always called me top five, top five, top five, top five.
Top five, top five.
Top five, slug.
Top five, son.
and he ain't fine.
Yeah, yeah.
So that's my dude, man.
So I'm looking forward to get away with TA again, man.
It'll be fun.
It'll be fun.
I know one thing about TA, man.
He'll go make sure we have some fun.
No question about that.
And speaking of fun,
training camp starts this week.
I don't know a lot about Pittsburgh's training camp.
All the training camps I had were on site.
You know, I mean, we in Seattle, we in Seattle.
Yeah.
San Francisco, we're right there at the stadium doing training camp.
Is Pittsburgh's in Pittsburgh?
Or, you know, I remember they said Tomlin goes to some camp,
some college or something.
Man, look, they said we go to somewhere call it looked like a Harry Potter world.
So I'm like, I remember going down there, you know, when my first joint practice I ever had was in, what,
15, went down there and went to Pittsburgh.
We went to some little crazy, like, D2 school or something like that, and they had dorm rooms and all that.
Yeah, so I heard we were in dorm rooms and all kind of crazy stuff, man.
So I'm like, this is going way, this is probably worse than college.
How this sounded?
You know what I'm saying?
But it's all good, though, man.
That's a tradition they have.
And, you know, I'm here to buy it all in.
And whatever it needs done.
I'm there to get the work in because no matter the location, where is that,
we're here to get better and win games.
So that's the really thing that's only matter.
I'm excited.
I'm excited.
You know, we're going to be checking in with your own training camp
and seeing how that goes, that dynamic we're talking about, you know,
you can't give us too much inside of information.
But if I see anything rumbling or anybody saying anything in the media,
I'm going to have to ask.
I already know you.
I already know, I already know, man.
I already know, sir.
So, hey, believe me, I'm going to be here to tell you.
I'll be here to tell you.
So, you know what I'm saying?
But, hey, I know.
That's why I'm waiting on.
The switch to hat.
You know I got to switch to hat.
It's a lot of drama going on in San Fran right now.
It's like it's drama every other year.
Like, really, every year.
Not even going to say every other year.
It seems like somebody always wants big money.
And I know y'all just got rid of a,
trade it of a big money guy.
So the guy that was behind him won't big money because he do a lot of dirty work.
And I feel like I got a lot of respect for him, man.
So, man, Jen is like, he won a new contract or be traded.
Like, how you feel about that right now?
It's sad, man.
It's sad because, not because of Joanne.
Joanne deserves what he deserved.
And he put on a, he had almost 1,000 yards last year, 77 catches, did a great job,
does a great job separating, doing all the dirty work, run blocking, pass blocking.
Like, hey, whatever, whatever.
needs to be done he's willing to do. And I think he would thrive if he was a number,
you know, two receiver for somebody and really getting targets like the way he deserves.
Like I think most of the time he got his high targets when most guys were out, you know,
and he's the only guy there. Then he got 10, 11 catches. And he looks the part. He's making
big catches. Third and Jawan. He's the guy they used to go to on third down anyway after
Kendrick Bourne left. But it does seem like this has just set precedent for the 49ers.
Because every year somebody's done it, you know, whether it was when Big Trent, Big Trent wanted more money.
And he deserves it, best tackle and football.
And then he held out and did what he had to do to get his money.
Nicholas John Bolsa coming off a defensive player.
Or he, yeah, coming off a defensive player at a year, needed my money.
Need that.
Sat out, did what he had to do, got his money.
Brandon I, Uke last year.
And so when you continue to have guys do that and have success, you know, and get what they're asking for,
it's going to embolden other guys to be like,
well, if it worked for them,
might as well try my love.
Might as well.
Might as well try.
I mean, why not?
Y'all folding?
Yeah.
And that's the hard part because you're going to have to put your foot down
somewhere with someone and you don't just want to be the guy.
It's like playing musical chairs
and being a guy standing up when the music stop.
Yeah, yeah.
You can see that happening, though.
They got to put their foot down for somebody
because that's the fact that if guys feel like they're producing
in a higher level,
they go all stand 10 toes down.
So somebody will be a simple.
And I feel like it might be him just to the fact.
But I think they might do something.
You know, I don't think they give them any more money.
I think they may take some of the money from the year two
and try to push it forward.
So they could try to at least appease him, a Band-Aid,
you know, push the issues back.
They got a lot of dead money this year.
They'll have more money next year
when some of these dead money,
big contracts come off the books.
but I think you've got to do something, you know,
because you do not want another distraction
kind of just lingering on into the season.
Yeah, because y'all don't, they don't set the tone already,
you know, paid your quarterback, you know, paid your tight end,
you already got your running back, got your left tackle,
got your middle linebacker you just paid,
then you got your corner you just paid.
So they doesn't start to set their tone
to make sure they're going to be a championship team.
But you got this distraction coming in here
with another guy wanting money.
It's just like, come on, y'all.
like it'll get to a point of the tingleblah, hey, man, that's play ball.
I know everybody wanted their money, but people are trying to win too as well.
People are trying to win.
And that's where it's tough because I know the fans are fatigued by it, you know,
because they're just like, man, when is enough enough?
Like when are we going to just have an offseason where guys just show up and play?
But this is a NFL, you know,
Juan Jennings played really well last year.
And he just wants to be compensated for him.
I'm not mad at that, but it's just what comes with the business of football.
You know, everybody understands the front office side of business.
this is the player's side of business.
And he's standing on what they call business.
And so you got to respect it.
You can't.
That's too.
It's a much.
You got to.
And we're going to speak on big money because you saw Sauce Gardner got his money.
Highest paid corner in the National Football League.
Congratulations to Sauce Gardner deserved all your money.
Played well, two first team all pros in your first two season.
What do you think of this deal, Slay?
I mean, I remember when we was fighting for $14, $15 million,
was the highest played at 16.7?
Look, that's what I'm saying.
I'm like, I was scratching and calling for that.
And boy, and that was like, what, four years ago?
I'm talking about they done double that thing.
I'm talking about double.
I'm talking about I went from 16.
They're going to 30.
I'm like, goodness, boy, can we just go back in time five more years for me
to be making 30 million?
Well, look, I can only imagine what you would have been asking for right now.
Oh, geez, more.
I'm talking about 35.
We might with a set history as being a quarterback that might be the highest non-paid quarterback.
The quarterback.
Look, I would have loved that.
But that's the stuff that I get frustrated when people go back in history and they're talking about me or my game.
I had 20 picks in my first three years.
Like, that wasn't, I got mad when we was even negotiating at the negotiate table.
I said, what are we talking about here?
You find somebody who could have done more than what I did.
Like, you find that 20 picks in like, how many games that I played?
26 games, something like that.
Like, I did what you needed me to do.
We won a Super Bowl with number one defense.
I led the league in interceptions.
You tell me something more I could have done
with what y'all tell me to do.
Y'all tell me who to cover, where to cover.
I do the job at a high level,
and that's what Sauce did.
That's why he got his money, and that's big time.
Yeah, and he got that with three picks.
You were talking about, you know what I'm saying?
You're talking about 20.
Right, three, three.
Look, it's a different game.
Hey, and I know that people are going to mention that.
But, you know, he's not getting targeted at time,
but he also drops him.
And it's also, you got to catch, man.
He got to catch, man.
He got to get them hands in order now.
He, my, that's a little brother, man, you know.
So I've been watching him from afar and in person because when I played in Detroit,
man, I went to his high school a bunch of time watching him play live.
He always been at one of my little camps I've been hosting his little skinny 6-1-2,
6-1 dude, skinny, probably about a buck-tee and look like out there.
I'm like, well, look, yeah, I don't know what you're doing.
but you need to eat.
But, man, no, you know, watching him,
now, you know, he is the highest paid corner of the league,
watching him doing his thing, man.
I'm so thankful for it, man, to be just a good mentor to him.
And, you know, he's one of the best in this game right now.
So he's doing his thing, man.
He's doing his thing.
I'm happy for him, man.
I'm very happy for him.
I always love that about you, Slay, the way you go,
you know, I mean, back to the trenches.
You're watching these kids in high school,
and you go on to work out with them at parks and dirt fields
and, you know, I mean,
getting it out the mud. That's old school. That's old school, man. That's all
that phrase, man. That's like I do it, man. I just think a lot of guys that's out
profession, man. I know it can be unsafe. It can't be because what it is in the world right now,
but I feel like guys like us can be very impactful to the younger kids and this generation
that's playing this sport because, like, I ain't see that coming up. So me going to stay cities
and just knowing that, hey, man, I'm human just like y'all and I'm going to work just how
you need to work. And I'm going to show y'all, you know, how to get there. You know what I'm
I'm saying some people is blessed enough to be talented enough to get there,
but at least you got a chance to, you know, attempt and know what it would look like to get there.
No question about it.
No question.
I appreciate that.
I'm sure them kids appreciate it and they're going to go back and maybe get back to the next generation
because of what you did for them.
I mean, that's the way it should be.
Hey, it's us, the Jonas brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, huge news?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up
with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Oh, we were thinking I'm originally calling it
one of the early names of our band
before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast
for people could call in and say, hey Jonas,
and then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis,
and I know firsthand because I competed there myself.
I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs' tennis podcast,
I'm breaking down everything,
happening at Roland Garris, every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on Clay.
Jenchen win.
I mean, she went down at three to Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lina Rabakina is arguably the best player in the world right now, and I actually can win on any surface.
Because if she's serving, well, good luck.
Consider this your court side seat to the French Open.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,
embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Speaking of corner play, there's some good corners out there playing right now.
And I know sauce just got paid, but who are your top five corners in the National Football League right now?
You know, I got to go off with the defensive player of the year for the show, man.
And, you know, and Pastor Tam, man, I've been watching him from a long from Lone.
Like, that man, that's nice.
He's nice.
But I feel like the most gift that won for show out the bunch is this guy right here.
And he's in Houston, Texas.
You know, I said, stingly.
Stingley got that.
He might be the most gifted one out of the bunch, man,
just for the fact that he reminded myself with the Sherman Elite ball skills.
I appreciate that.
You know what I said?
The one that can just really attack the ball at every angle,
see the ball, can turn to the receiver within a matter of seconds.
You know, it took me a minute to turn to the receiver.
I think DBR time the ball down.
He thinking his mind's not.
It's mine.
I'm thinking, I'm thinking catch it until I ain't got no choice.
Yeah.
But I think Sir Tand.
is one of the most technically sound corners to play.
I mean, in the game in general, not just this decade or anything.
I mean, you look at this tape and compared to any of the greats, anybody.
Like, I'm not saying he got the interceptions that Charles Woodson got with 65 or all that.
But when you look at the tape and you talk about how you should be playing press
and what you look, the patience he shows, his off coverage, his pedal, his transition out of the pedal,
his stem and weave.
You're like, boy, this boy looked like he had a park by himself
just drilling on cones, except this real game situation.
Hey, that's the privilege of having a first round daddy.
Touche.
He'd been in the backyard peeling since the daddy was in the league, man.
And, you know, so shout out to Pat Tartan, senior, man,
from really getting your boy right, man, because your boy like that.
Your boy is like that.
And then you talk about Stingley.
He got just such a natural feel, ball skills, the technique.
He catching in space.
Like, he's got it all.
He continuing to chase past Sartan.
Then you got Soss.
Soss play playing at a really high level in New York.
Got all the eyes on him, all the scrutiny and everything he's been dealing with,
especially with Aaron Rogers being there and Sala and the issues they've been dealing with.
He's looking forward to.
With that money comes expectations, though, Saut, they are going to be, you drop interceptions.
It's going to be prime time news.
It's going to be headline news.
You go through and you have a zero interception year and you give.
up a touchdown, they're going to make you feel it.
So, you know, with New York, no question.
With big money comes big responsibility, but I know he's ready for it.
Who are some of the other corners you think are up and coming?
I mean, we talked about the three obvious ones and stay away from the teammates.
We ain't going with your biased teammates and your new teammate.
Hey, I'm going to be, you know what I'm going to leave my teammates out of because I'm
will be sure they all my dogs.
So they all are going to be taught guys too as well.
But a guy else that's coming up, man, that that's contract coming up to as well.
So I ain't going to be, like I'm not going to be surprised if he surpassed,
depending on how the organizations is, you know what I'm saying?
Because they win championships over.
That boy Trent, Medefi, you know what I'm saying?
He's been all over the field, man, and he plays nickel.
He travels.
He does it all.
He started off as a nickel and made all pro at a nickel.
Then he went outside to play corner, made all pro as a corner.
You know what I'm saying?
He's up there.
And I ain't going to be surprised if he's not the next highest paid corner,
if they get his deal done because he's next up.
No question.
I mean, it's a lot of young guys playing well.
You got Christian Gonzalez out there in New England.
You got Witherspoon out here in Seattle.
You got, I mean, we, we, we sleeped on Jalen Johnson out in Chicago.
You know what I mean?
J.L. Johnson was playing.
And J.C. Horn.
You know what I mean?
And J.C. Horn.
He coming along, too.
So it was a bad wave.
We had a bad batch of court at one point of time.
We had a bad bunch of them.
You know, we had a couple of that sprinkled a little bit.
but these last about three years,
it's been some real,
real deal corners coming into this draft.
I'm talking about ones that's deserving
as a first round draft picks
or your early second round draft picks,
they all panning out like crazy.
You know, they,
so I feel like the staff doing a great job right now
and finding these corners
because them boys coming out of him playing.
I think so, too,
and they're playing well early.
They plan well early in their career.
I'm talking about to come in,
be today starters and be dominating.
And we didn't even mention your boy,
Quignan-Metre.
out there in Philly who was out there letting in hang,
Super Bowl for rookie year starting.
Yeah, I'm talking about doing it and getting after, you know.
So he'll be up next too.
And I told him, I've been telling him all the time, like, hey, well, I love,
you came at a perfect time.
You're doing your thing.
You start off hot.
All you got to do is, hey, climb every year.
Just climb every year.
And he's going to do that, man, because you got to work for it.
So he'll be one of the best ones too coming up.
No question.
No question about it.
Hey, I know one thing about you because I've been watching you for the longest.
And, you know what I'm saying?
You don't like these, you know, these coaches and out of that because you prefer to be
players to be the scouts.
You prefer the players to be all these stuff that rank these guys because we go against
them and all that.
And they just put out the dog on top 10 quarterbacks.
And of course, there Mahomes at one, Allen at two, Borough at three, Lamar at four,
you know, Jaden, Daniels, that's.
five, Stafford, six, Herbert, golf, Hertz, and Baker-Macon.
That's the top ten right now.
I know you don't like the exactness.
You, they be having stuff all wrong.
You know, I ain't with them either.
I don't like them either.
Yeah, I mean, I don't dislike them, but, like, obviously the top three, top four,
top five probably are going to be, you know, your preference.
Like, if there's some people that's going to put Lamar at one, some people going to put
Burrow at one, you know, my homes is getting.
deservedly so, the MVP's, Super Bowl MVP's, the winning,
the just constant, like, inevitability you feel when,
when you see him play teams.
Obviously, yo, Philadelphia Eagles took him behind the woodshed in the Super Bowl,
made him look really bad.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So, again, but so some people don't use that game to drop him a little bit.
Yeah.
And so I can see why they put Jayton Daniels there taking his team to the NFC
championship and his really.
rookie year, a team that wasn't expected to do a ton, wasn't expected to have more than single-digit
wins. The only person I have a problem really being on this list is the only person who hasn't,
you know, outside of Baker-Mayfield as well, hasn't been to a championship game, at least.
You look at this, you say Mahomes, multiple Super Bowls, Josh Allen's been to AFC championship games,
Burroughs been to a Super Bowl, Lamar has been to the AMC championship game, Jaden Daniels,
was NFC championship game.
Herbert's won one playoff game.
Gall has been to a Super Bowl with the Rams.
You know, played in big time games.
Hertz just won a Super Bowl.
Yeah. Been to another.
Mayfield hasn't.
You know what I mean?
I don't know if I would put Mayfield at that 10th spot.
You know, again, I'm a Brock Purdy guy,
so that's probably who I would have put in that 10th spot.
But I could see why Mayfield got there with the season he had last year.
With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
he was playing really high-level football.
really doing a great job with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin before he got injured and really,
you know, elevating that offense to the point that he deserves recognition.
But Herbert has all the tools.
He got all the tools.
He got them all now.
He looked fantastic.
He looked at 6'4, 6.5, 2.30 can run like the wind.
Beautiful arm.
Accuracy is there.
But the excuses keep stacking up for him.
You know, every year, it's like, he doesn't have got enough help or this happened or
somebody went here or the coach and it's this and it's that.
And it's like, it's getting to the point you got an established coach.
Mm-hmm.
They're getting you some weapons.
Lab McConkey had a pretty solid year of rookie, but he'll get better.
They'll get you more weapons.
But you got to win playoff games.
You got to win in this league.
And I know you're in a tough division with Mahones in that division, you know, you've got to deal
with Mahones.
Denver's getting better.
And that defense, when Denver is, it's all.
always top five.
But you've got to win.
And so people keep putting,
I'm just thankful they're not putting Trevor Lawrence in there no more.
Like,
because that's the kind of stuff that gets you,
get me questioning y'all credentials.
Like,
that's the more you can get me with every time.
That's what we make you the executive is bad.
Like, hey, brother, Trevor Lawrence come on.
He, yeah, yeah, I know he's.
You got to put it on tape.
Like, you didn't got too many coaches fine.
Yeah, he got too many five.
Now, he got some good ones for all.
He got a Super Bowl champion coach for hard.
So, right.
Come on.
It ain't him.
It can't be.
And you got the weapons.
Brian Thomas is what looks like he's going to be one of the best receivers in the
National Football League.
If he gets consistent quarterback play, they just got you.
Travis Hunter, who likely play both ways, but make an impact on offense as well.
And so at some point, you got to start to look at him and say, hey, y'all paying this man over,
what are he getting, 55?
50.
You're giving him top five quarterback money,
but the top five quarterback play ain't matching it.
But that's the story for a different day.
You know, everybody in Duvall getting mad when I talk about him,
but the tape say what it's say, and they say what I'm saying.
Hey, hey, I'm witching with you right, darling.
I went you with you right, because I'm moving looking at the list too.
I was like, all right, it's some people can be for sure move.
I feel like Hertz can easily move to, to Farn.
I think Stafford could be easily stuck at 60 people.
It's just what if you feel like your preference.
He's not...
But Stafford.
Stavre could go, look, Stavford could play
as close to as top three as any of these dudes.
And in that game against y'all,
he gave you everything you can handle.
Like, talk about, look,
we were thinking like, we already knew it.
We're like, hey, this is the only team that's possible
that can beat us, you know what I'm saying?
That's the only team.
And nobody else we felt that's in the NFC can beat us.
But dumb boys there because the staff way he's capable of doing.
Like, he's not a guy that gets shit.
shy of when turnovers happened to him.
Oh, I don't care.
I'm going to come back and smack it again.
Like the same throw, he'll throw it again.
Like, you've been to pick a out route, but he'll throw it outwrap six more times.
You better pick it six times in a row then.
You know what I'm saying?
That's one thing about Stafford, man.
He's not a gun shy.
He's ready.
He's competitive.
Tough, tough-minded dude.
And, you know, he knows what it takes to win.
And definitely the playoffs, he don't care about no stats in the playoffs.
No, he don't.
And look, if Jailen Carl's, if Jailen Carl's, if.
If Jalen Carter, I talked to Sequin about that,
if Jalen Carter don't make that play late in the game,
and from what I understood it, he faked a stunt and got himself free
and did some real, like, just individual, talented, hey,
hats off to Jalen Carter made a play.
If he don't make that play, it looked like they had something developed
that could have made that a lot more interesting of a finish.
I'll just say that.
I'm telling you right now, that play is crazy because that's playing with so set up.
J.C.
That's Jalen.
J.C.
came in there and was like,
he did the first stunt and got the sack off of it.
And he faked it and got that one off of it.
I said, both sats off of that stunt.
Wait, one of them, he did it for his whole way.
Next one he faked it.
Because they did it like three times and got it.
And Nolan got a sack off of it.
He got a sack off of it.
And then they're going to do it again.
Faked it.
I said, oh, thank goodness.
Because I saw it.
I saw it in action.
Like, I'm like, oh, he looked like he fitted throwing to this little option route.
And he was coming back to the middle of the field.
Oh, it would have been ugly then.
Then it would be like, oh, slave fault because the fact that I got us all way down
and with the out went up, it would be, oh, yeah, everything would have been on me for a second.
But then I made up the last of the last play of the game.
No question.
I think Hertz for sure, though, should be moved like maybe five, you know,
because the fact that four years, full Super Bowl appearance, I mean,
four playoffs appearances, two Super Bowl appearances, one one, one,
Super Bowl MVP, you know, you got to just, you got to just,
involve him winning. I can see what people feel about the talent aspect of just how his
statue look at. He ain't six three like all these guys that's coming in here or he ain't a magician
as in Mahones as everybody says. But from winning standpoint, you got to have him top five.
Yeah, I think so too. I think you could easily make an argument for Burrow being one.
Yeah. You know, and I think I think if you went back and asked these executives and they took
their biased aside and you said, hey, I don't care if you to Baltimore,
Ravens. I don't care if you to Buffalo bills.
I don't care if you outside the
Kansas City Chiefs. I think the Kansas City Chiefs picking my
homes over everybody every single time and they're not
even having a question or conversation about it.
I think that's true.
But I think
Buffalo,
y'all love Josh Allen,
but if somebody said Burrow and
Lamar, it would be a conversation.
You can't just sit there and be like, hey, no, there's no question.
There's no way we would ever take anybody
else over him. Like, that's just biased
because it's not
anybody head and shoulders above anybody.
Like, Lamar Jackson is one of them ones.
And Joe Burrow is one of them ones.
Every time they just can't stop a nosebleed on defense.
Like, they refuse to pay anybody.
They so bad on defense, they drafted a dude in the first round.
He said, I don't want to come to play.
He said, I'll go back to college before I play for y'all.
That's what the crazy part, man.
They got to get Joe Ben some defense to help, man, because, boy, look here.
They tried.
Look, they don't want to pay.
And they don't know why they want to pay that young man, man.
Pay that man that's money, man.
Pay the man against money.
But Joe, man, he easily would have been an MVP if he had at least made it to the playoffs.
But the fact that he ain't made it to the playoffs and...
I mean, we saw him live a couple times.
And him and Jamar Chase and T. Higgins and everybody else, boy, they, hey, he, he, it's, it's art.
It's art what that man does.
He's out there dissecting defenses.
And these are, you know, at that point, Baltimore had started to play better.
They, they were struggling early on.
but that was the point where they switched things around
and Humphreys and Marlon was playing really good football
and still Joe said, hey, ripping y'all to shreds.
And he, look, I want to say, I got to look at the scoreboard,
but they, 45, 46, something like that.
Yeah, look, those boys put up points.
I'm telling you, they was averaging.
We went to that, we was like, all right, man,
we got to stop their offense.
And they was averaging about 26, 27 points.
And Joe was slanging it.
Like, he was already Dan there.
two thousand yards, you know what I'm saying,
weighed above everybody.
You're like, well, look, yeah.
But we just knew our offense
going to put points upon their defense.
So we said, hey, bro,
we got to stop the boy about five times,
four, three, four, five times.
We're good.
You're good to go.
And look how it turned out because we control the clock,
making big plays,
and kept that boy out there field.
No question.
He's out there, he's making plays.
And it's so silly.
And we talked about this before,
but this whole MVP conversation
just frustrated me last year
because I thought Josh Allen had a better shot at it the year before.
And then people called me a Lamar Jackson hater because I said, hey, he got 24 total
touchdowns.
I don't know if this is the year he'd get it.
I mean, he won it with like 44, 43 touchdowns, the MVP year that he wanted.
I don't think they're going to give it to him with 24.
And lo of a behold, they gave it to him.
I think Josh Allen had 30, 38, 40 touchdowns.
He was going crazy, but he had like 17 interceptions and turnovers or something.
So somehow they punished him for that.
And I said, okay, that's a little weird, but whatever.
This year, Lamar has a crazier year than he had on his first MVP season.
41 touchdowns, only four interceptions on the entire season,
one of the most efficient seasons for a quarterback in NFL history.
I'm talking about one of them Aaron Roger's season.
Aaron Rogers has got four MVP's, and they look similar to that.
37 and 3, 33 and 4, you know, stuff like that, get you to MVP.
And not that Josh Allen had a bad season, but Lamar's numbers were better, in my personal opinion, and objectively they were better.
And they gave it to Josh Allen.
And then you hear MVP voters talking about, oh, well, it was because, you know, Lamar, he's more valuable to his team than Lamar.
What the heck are y'all talking to every quarterback that's starting in a national football league.
That's why they're paying them 50, 60 million, because they're the most valuable.
They're the highest pay because they're the most important.
take them off those teams, those teams are going to be substantially worse.
Maybe one or two of them still make the playoffs.
Sure, but they're going to be worse.
So that argument is null and void.
That's a nonsense argument.
Every quarterback is the most valuable player.
And if you took them off that team, their team is a lot worse off.
So that's not an argument.
Is he having the best season?
Like, he wasn't arguably the best quarterback.
So when you talk about giving MVP,
that's like giving defensive player to a year to a player.
and you're like, he might be the second best
at his position, but he's the defensive player of the year.
I think that can't be how it works.
It's crazy because the fact that everybody was complaining about
Lamar be able not to pass and do this and do that.
Now he has his best passing statistics.
And now he's like, oh, dang, I answered what y'all didn't.
Like, I still ain't he win the MVP.
That's what I was mind-blown because y'all was complaining about him
not being able to throw the ball.
Now it's like, Lamar is just this amazing that throwing the ball now.
Like, now, like, it was wild to me.
I thought he went by a mile.
And he ain't got no all pro receivers out there.
He had a pro pro pro pro receiver
and his pro pro pro pro receiver party
had, what, 1100 yards.
I think.
And now, you know what I'm saying?
And that's what they were arguing for Josh Allen.
They're like, he got these young receivers.
And he did.
He had young receivers and this young team,
but they were well coached.
They played well on defense.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Lamas should have been three feet easily.
It's like, don't laugh.
Hey.
Hey, I know it got me too, man.
It gets me too every time, man.
It gets me too.
I swear to goodness.
Look, and we're going to speak because a lot of stuff is changing with the NFL
in this draft situation.
And something's changing for the first time in the NFL history.
The Houston Texans signed Jaden Higgins to a fully guaranteed deal.
It's like not just first rounders, a second rounder.
So everybody else said, hey, I ain't showing up until I get mine guaranteed too.
And now you see in deals
guys, Nick M.
Worry, with the Seattle Seahawks
gets a four-year
$11.6 million
fully guaranteed deal.
The number 35 pick got a fully
guaranteed deal. And then
the tight end,
Elijah O'Royo from the
University of Miami, gets a
four-year $8.813
million deal with $6.8
of it guaranteed. I love it
for these young men. They're getting more
guaranteed, more security for their families, for their future, and they get to play the game
they love.
I'm never upset with that.
Yeah, you can't be.
You know what I'm saying?
You can't be.
I can't, what?
Second round is getting a fully guaranteed money as a second round of, you know, I was just
looking at this dude did $4.11 million.
I was a 36 pick.
I was one pick above him.
And, I mean, behind him, and my contract was a four-year, like, five mil.
He'd get $4.11.
God.
Sheesh.
She's.
I'm just looking at it, you know what I'm saying?
But I'm happy that they're doing it, man.
I see it's a good thing for the kids, man,
because the fact that they're coming in and getting, like they said,
setting your family straight.
And that's what a lot of guys play this game for.
You know, some people play the game because they love it.
And, you know, but a lot of guys in this game plays this game
because they want to provide it for their family, man,
get their kids, a better future and all that.
So it's good that they get their money guarantee
because it's been a lot of people in this lead
that comes in the lead and sees.
two or three years.
You know, that's the average, you know.
And at least now they get full guarantee,
these guys don't pan out,
hoping for all them to pan out,
that, hey, you know, made $11 million in four years.
Yeah, and you can't be mad at that.
I mean, look, I remember some of these SEC guys coming in
saying they're taking a pay cut coming to the league,
but that's actually true now.
That's actually starting to happen.
That dude's coming into the league getting picked in the fourth round
and they were coming off a multimillion-dollar NIL deal.
I said, this is just a different time.
We're going to get to the time.
Well, we seem like we might be already here with Shamar Stewart holding out,
not even coming to the Bengals training camp, not coming to minicam, not coming to anything.
They're saying if he holds out to a certain point, he got to go back to college.
He got to go back into the draft.
Yeah, Bob said.
And that's crazy.
You know what I'm like, I don't know why they won't get the job done,
but it must be something about something going on that we don't know.
But that ain't my problem, but, hey, hopefully the kid get his money because he got,
y'all drafted him.
Y'all thought he's worth it.
So y'all should get me.
So, but to go back to college,
he'd probably go get probably more money at college anyway.
No question, no question.
Hey, it's us, the Jonas brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news,
huge news?
We created our own podcast called,
Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to a first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with the name,
Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

The French Open is one of the toughest tests in tennis,
and I know firsthand because I competed there myself.
I'm Renee Stubbs, and on the Renee Stubbs Tennis podcast,
I'm breaking down everything happening at Roland Garris.
Every match, every upset, and what it really takes to win on clay.
Gentian win.
I mean, she went down at three to, two.
Rabakina, but I'm delighted.
She's an outsider to win the French for me.
And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lena Rubakina is arguably the best player in the world right now.
And I actually can win on any surface.
Because if she's serving, well, good luck.

Last night, a blown call changed a game.
This morning, the internet lost its mind.
Highlights are trending, opinions are flying, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
That's where Sports Slice comes in.
I'm Timbo.
Every episode, we're cutting through the noise.
Breaking down the plays, the controversies, and the stories behind the headlines.
We go straight to the source, the athletes themselves.
Their locker room stories, their reactions, the stuff nobody gets to hear.
The laughs, the drama, the triumphs, the moments that never make the highlight real.
From viral moments to historic games, from buzzer beaters to controversial,
calls, we break it down, give you context, and ask the questions everybody wants answered.
SportsSlice brings you closer to the action with stories told by the people who live them.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast, Superhuman, documented it all, embedded in the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Now we can talk about these NFL wide receivers.
I do got an opinion about that and how they rank, because these executives and coaches and scouts,
ranked the wide receivers, and it looks like for the most part they got it right.
But the first one, obviously, Jamar Chase, Justin Jefferson is two.
Those can be interchanged.
Tyree Kiel was three.
C.D. Lamb was four.
AJ Brown, all day, always open.
A.J. Brown was five. Amon Ross St. Brown, six, Malik Neighbors, Young guys.
Seven. Oh, see him a little early.
Nico Collins, eight, Mike Evans, nine, Garrett Wilson, 10.
Reaction.
Hmm.
I like Nico, for sure.
I thought Nico was on his way to
earlier before he got hurt.
I'm going to toy to tell the ham.
What's crazy?
He ran past a dude
tearing the hamstring.
Right.
And scored.
He was looking Julio-ish to me.
I'm telling him he remind you
with that body frame,
but he gave me more of a prime
Josh Gordon.
That's what he gave me that feeling
to the swole.
Josh Gordon,
I'm telling you, I'm telling you all like,
he was my sleeper for a long time
because I was watching this film, like,
bro, this boy, here's nice.
But then right when I say he's a sleeper,
everybody just jumped on the bandwagon
and was like, oh, this kid here.
I was like, dang, I can't use him as my sleeper no more.
When I people are like, boost him up
because now everybody wishes me.
They're like that.
Right.
But, yeah, so good.
That list, it's, I don't know.
I don't know.
Like, it's for sure, you know,
I'm for sure in agreeing with the AJ situation.
AJ has five.
It's, look, like, look, AJ,
A out of eight, everybody in that first five, I feel as in, it's besides Tyree, because he unified
with fast and everything.
He fastened in everybody.
So, but everybody on that list is from top four, is mostly scheme open for me.
As a, this is a DB.
I've seen Chase line up in the backfield.
I see Justin line up in the backfield.
I've seen Tyree be getting in three points sands, by the damn tackle, go hard, and
be motioned across that.
All I see is AJ Doran is line up at X.
come see about me.
And still,
you're all pros like that.
See, that's what I don't, like,
when people would talk about, like, schemes
and they like, like,
because that was the argument they used to make with me,
like, oh, man, it's the scheme that got you over.
I said, you know how many,
you know everybody run cover three?
Yes.
And you know how, for some reason,
I'm the, I make it look like it's something else.
I make it look like it's some kind of special,
new coverage, new, like,
with these guys I play with.
And then it was like,
but if you really like that,
I don't got to move.
I don't got to do nothing special.
You got to come over here.
I don't got to chase you down.
I don't got to move our scheme.
Look, if you go over there,
you're running from me.
The scheme working.
We know where you're at.
Yep.
Because if you know you're up here,
you'll get solo action.
You're getting solo.
We'll lean the safety to you if you go over there.
But if you come over here, we can dance.
Yeah.
That's what I'm saying.
That's why I'm trying to tell folks
when I was just say with AJ, like,
he's sitting up here,
Like, if you want to see by me, I'm over here.
You know where I'm at.
I'm not going to go in this backfield.
I'm not motioned out of there and getting in,
get isolated on a lineback or none of that.
I'm coming to see your best dude to make your best dude look like that's your worst dude.
And I'm on the line.
And I'm on it.
And I ain't, man, look, I don't seen it.
Like, he don't run from no smoke.
So people having him at five and then with it being said,
besides a lot of guys, like,
people want to talk about the quarterback play.
All these guys got, like, real deal, like, professional, like, pro-pro type of quarterback.
They always say, Hurks this and Hurts that.
Out of all of them, when it comes down to his passing, but, like I say, Hurts throw the best deep ball.
And guess what AJ Brown most likely is the best at, catching that deep ball?
So for people to be talking like that to have him at 5 and folks that be complaining about how Hertz is as a quarterback as in passing, it's just crazy.
Because AJ's still been first team all pro three years in a row.
I felt that ball he threw it was a nine ball.
in the playoffs.
It was like third down for the game,
maybe against the Rams.
Was it the Rams or was it?
It was third.
It was,
dang,
who that was.
I know you're talking about,
though.
It was like third and long.
Yes,
and through a crazy one.
And through a dime.
I said,
y'all just lined up and said,
go ball on third and nine.
AJ.
AJ.
AJ Brown.
That's what separates AJ.
from a lot of guys.
I feel asking the truth for show
Jamar Chase can do that,
but they do put Jamar back there.
I feel like Jamar Chase
can be, all of them can do it.
I don't know.
I didn't see him if Jamar Chase
just catch a hitch
and take it and take a yard.
Yeah.
Not arguing that Jamar Chase came down.
I said Jamar Chase can do it.
I don't seen them.
Like, I went against him.
And when I tell you, like,
he's just as hard to tackle
as it is with AJ Brown.
Like, AJ, right.
But Jamar, like,
he probably one of the best dudes
I've seen besides,
Tyree because he's just unified, but to stick that foot in the ground and get vertical,
like he's not scared of you hitting him.
Like, he ain't trying to avoid none of that.
Like, watching the family play the woods, and that man, Jamar Chase caught that screen on
Baltimore and took that mug 80, like I said, look, yeah, boy, look, we got to tackle this boy.
If we don't tackle this boy, he's going for 200.
200.
200.
So, and Justin, too, he's a tough dude.
Like, everybody thinks Justin's skinny and stuff.
he got that he got that freak wiggle that that you got yeah just can get active man
but the only thing i don't know i sleep on too man that i don't really kind of like like the list
too much because i'm not saying i'm biased because i'm saying this is my dog but i know i ain't
biased but people really really might be a little biased um people who are sleeping on smitty right
i'm telling like garrickerson is a dog but like if garrick like he he's getting the targets he
deserve to get like he getting the we got to feed sayquine you got to feel a j then i feed
dallas dallas at a tight-in position then you know then hurts you know i can't say the same but you know
if it's 30 passes hurts drop back it'll be least five on them will be runs when he goes and and they'll
sleep on pukin the cool i know you've heard that i was going to say him too that's what i'm going to say to
him too like that like I feel like for show
Nico Collins should be at
I ain't gonna lie, he might be for me honestly
he might be at six. Yeah it before he got hurt
earlier in the same. Before he got hurt he was at three
phone. Yeah, before he got hurt easily three or four. But right now I say six because
I'm not, Amon Saint Brown, he's a dog. He does it all. He gets it down.
But for sure, me Lee, I feel like, I feel like
poker is.
Yeah, I feel like
you got, it's hard because
he did break those records and he got
all of them targets and he got on the catch and he's
an issue to deal with. I just feel
like it's really going.
It's one of those teams that is just
you know, I want
to see him with a better quarterback. Hopefully,
you know, either Russell Wilson or
James or Jackson Dart, whoever gets to
start and plays and plays better than what
he was dealing with before. But
what about Tyreek running
10, 10, 1 and 100 at 30 plus, like people, people ain't really talking about that.
Like, when I seen them do it, I'm like, hey, boy, look, because we went to high school around
the same area.
I said, that, that, that's a, that, that motherfucker up, I still pass.
That shit, boy, that shit, me don't sit at age.
And he just go out and just do it willingly, not like, like.
He ain't training?
People think he really training for it.
Like, he really just training in shape.
Like, he's training, like, he really take his time.
I say he sat down and not took a beating on his body and football for a whole year.
and run, man, he will leave me, I ain't going to say he'll beat people like the Olympic runners,
but he'll run, he'll running the nines.
I don't think people really understand what 10-1 is, like, what 10-1 is.
Like, you can talk about 40s and 4-2 and 4-3 and all that, but 10-1 at 30, what is he,
32, 31?
By 31?
Like, and he's still running it.
Like, I just ran it the other day.
I don't train for this, I don't do it.
I woke up one day, put on some stuff.
I might have done some sprints the week before,
and then I ran 10-1,
and I play in the National Football League.
Like, that's a stupid fast.
That's what I'm saying,
and I don't like to go against people
that would ask that take that sports as a,
as they likelihood.
Like, you know, that's what pays their bill.
But folks don't understand the fact that people are like,
oh, he got football speed.
Like, he can't bring that up.
I'm trying to tell you, like,
this kid, Tyreek, man, he's the kid,
but this dude here,
literally, he took a whole year off
and, like, let his body, like, heal from getting,
getting hit for 20-some weeks in football and just, like, train and got in that type of work.
Like, not saying he'd be the fastest man in the world, but he will be out here competing.
Like, D.K. did it. D.K. came out of nowhere and just busted out of 10-3, just waking up.
Like, I'm going to take about five weeks and just try this.
And he two-thirty.
No, I'm saying. That's the only thing that kind of, like, be getting me when I be hearing these.
Because I've been seeing these little stuff that be on all on the Internet.
And see these track people, like, see what I'm going to say?
You know what I'm saying.
Look, look, look.
Let's do this.
We're probably going to get in trouble for this.
I don't know.
But the track people, like no law and all those guys,
are very special individuals.
They do a great job.
Like, he's really fast.
He got an Olympic gold medal.
I dreamed to play in the Olympics.
I wish they had football.
I would have got a chance to play in Olympics.
I thought our sport could do that.
But he is closer to you in your sport
than you will ever be.
to him in his sport.
Like he, the fact,
he could probably break 10.
And if he breaks 10, it's not like y'all living,
Usain Boat ran 9-5, but Tyson-Gay ran 9-6.
Yeah.
Nobody else has run under 9-7.
So if you said Tyreek Hill ran 9-9,
which I'm sure he could do,
at 30-something years old,
but then it's still an all-pro football player.
Like, not just a football player,
not just I played football in national football,
pretty professional.
I've been at the top of the top.
I've been the best.
I've won the Super Bowl.
Like you,
for him to go into your sport
and run even remotely in the same stratosphere,
that's world-class speed that he showed.
You, I don't know if anybody could come to football,
if they could say, hey, I'm going to put on a football jersey
and be almost as good as Tyreek Hill.
No, you're not.
Oh, you're not close.
You're not even going to run.
register.
You're not going to make the P squad.
Come on, man.
So, wait.
I'll be saying the same thing because I have some guys that be at my facility,
you know, that be, that's track fanatics.
And they all up in here in Houston, you know, they'd be like, you know,
that's all it is in Texas.
That's all they do is run, run, run, run.
Everybody's doing it.
But I'm trying to tell folks, like,
y'all don't understand, like, what we're trying to come from when we'd be saying,
like, it's only to be saying it because the fact that we are way
closer than y'all are to y'all support than y'all all the hours like y'all will not be
competitive you come over here you'll be who but we go over there like we can be a little we might
can be talked about like i could be on the four by one team and be and make us win a world he could be on
a football one team right now and they can win a and win a goal and win a goal man be and be competitive
he'll just look out of place yes and so that's where where it's tough when you talk crazy
to him you know what i mean like don't talk to him like that don't talk about him like that like
You don't even be close.
Like you're not running 9-7 every time.
You run 10 flat sometimes.
You run 10-0.
You run 10-0-6, 10.
And he ran 10-1.
So if you have one of those 10-0 races and he has a nine race and he runs a little better,
then guess what?
That day he gets you.
And if he ever did that, that's why Noah Liles didn't want to race him.
Because if he ever walked in and beat you at your sport,
you would never be able to walk out and say another word.
You can't talk about nothing.
It's a guy who just came.
He ain't doing this for fun
and walked through and beat you in your own sport,
and you could never go to his sport and do that.
Yeah, he can't.
And that's why I be arguing for.
I'm with you, boy.
I'm telling you, boy, I'm just to have an argument
with these dudes in the longer.
I swear, because you know, I'm a cheer.
Yeah.
Yeah, you know, I got to have.
I know, I got a real job.
I'm like, I'll be like, you know,
I'm more of like, oh, y'all, you think it's slick.
but we're going to move on we're going to make it quick because we got to we got to close up here
eventually you know but teddy bridgewater i know you're seeing what they suspended him for for giving
impermissible benefits and they talked about him like he was paying the kids or something when it was
him giving them ubers to practice making sure they got treatment making sure they had team meals
and making sure the the field got painted along behold teddy bridgewater wasn't an actual
employee of the school. He was a volunteer, so you cannot suspend a volunteer. He was there
volitionally. So you cannot suspend him. You cannot sanction him. You can not do anything.
You can go coach somewhere else if he felt like it. But what do you feel about that?
I mean, I was hurt by it because the fact that I know Teddy, you know, I'll be in Miami a lot
because my son and moms, he's from Miami. So we used to go down there a lot. I don't know Teddy
for a long time. And he only mean nut but good to the community. When I say him and Lamar Jackson,
man, they guys that really goes down into the community, hands-on, no security, no nothing,
showing nothing but love to everyone.
That's why you see them guys stay down there.
That's why they don't leave because they show so much gratitude.
But them to do that to a guy that took his time out, brought the program back.
Everybody know about Northwestern where I'm from down south.
I'm from down that way.
I'm right there in Duval, around that way.
Bronze of Georgia, though, but it's right all that right there.
So, but then to bring back Northwestern to what it was to like a championship team
because a lot of guys came out of there.
a lot of great ones, Xavier Rose, everybody.
And so he'll do that and bring them back,
and he doing it in the right way because what he didn't have in high school,
they probably went doing it that way in high school,
taking care of his body, showing him how to be a professional at a young age.
That's all what it is.
It's just like he's just teaching them how to be a pro early.
And you see what they had to do.
They won a championship in one year.
Like, I don't know what they're mad about with that, but.
Is they mad because he's doing it?
You know, these private schools have been doing it for years.
You're not mad at IMG,
Dorney, you're not mad at all these private schools
paying for these kids to come here,
paying them thousands of dollars,
professional trainers, training rooms,
like weight rooms, like,
spending all this money.
This dude is 200,000 out of his pocket,
not putting it in kids' pockets to say,
hey, come to my school,
but putting it into them,
investing into those kids
to make sure they're taking care of
so they can do things the right way, man.
Get out of here.
Hey, look, man,
and you know what you don't want to say it,
but it'd be,
it'd be them people, man.
I don't know what I'll be them people.
They don't want to see them win.
They don't want to see them win, man.
They don't want to see that man build that community up.
Because that community is not, you know what I'm saying?
It's not the best shape.
Right.
And what brains the best stuff to that type of community?
Sports, football.
Right.
Once the team in the city started winning, the city come together.
City started putting stuff together for the kids.
Next thing you know, start having a vent for the kids.
And probably a lot of people don't want to see that.
That's why I'll be doing.
No.
And I know how I go down down there because I had it.
They mad that he won.
They mad that they won a championship.
So I'm sure the team he beat or a team he beat along the way is the ones that
reported and hated on him.
So it's sad, but that's how it goes.
Your boy, your old teammate in the Adomicon suit retires.
I want to give you a chance to give him his flowers.
Hey, man.
Shout out to my boy, Sue, man.
The Dominican man, he's probably one of the best OGs I had outside of the DB room.
I played with him from in the Detroit.
when I tell you, this dude here set the standard of what a professional need to look like,
he set the standard for us at definitely Detroit.
And, man, playing alongside him, man, he's been one of the best ones.
One of the best deters I would play with.
I got a chance to play with him and Fletcher, even though me and Fletch play together in college.
But them two guys there, man, poo.
Shout to my boy, man.
He won the best to ever do it, man.
I don't know how they're doing, but I'll for sure put him on my first ballot, you know what I'm saying?
Because he did, was a game right.
record. I watch five people try to block him for it and not successful. You know what I'm saying.
So shout out to my dude, man. Much love to you, man. You know, we still connect. He in Houston
as we speak probably right now. And I'm telling him right now I'm pulling up to your crib and your
crib is my crib. So you got to check in with me. Well, I appreciate your big play.
Well, like I said, everybody, Big Play will be joining us every week during the season,
maybe once or twice during training

We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions
because we're sick and tired
to be and ask questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it, but, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.

Unhumor me with Robert Smigel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel,

Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
