That you go on here. Welcome back to the Richard Sherman podcast. And what an incredible week. Some crazy games, some upsets, some contenders getting back to their ways in the Baltimore Ravens. But the most surprising game. was obviously this Detroit Lions versus the Dallas Cowboys game. The Detroit Lions had their way with Dallas the entire game.

It looked like a preseason game where they're just practicing, figuring out things that they like. You don't usually see this in National Football League, people. You don't usually see teams practicing, hey, we're going to throw it to this lineman. Hey, we're going to try this trick play. They ran four or five trick plays in that game. I said it before. I'll say it again. I was not a fan of the Zimmer hire for the Dallas Cowboys.

And you're seeing it. You're seeing it. What he does is just not the right fit for the league at this time. And the players aren't responding to his system. They're not playing well in it. And they're undermanned right now. They're banged up without Demarcus Lawrence, without Micah Parsons. They just don't, De Ron Bland at corner. They just don't look like the same defense. but you still shouldn't get blown out 47 and 9, and it really wasn't that close. They could have had more. There were a couple times they got too cute in the red zone where they were trying to complete trick plays, trying to make up, trying to give a middle finger to the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League and the referees

that took away their touchdown last year because the offensive lineman didn't report. Like at the point Dallas took their starters out, the Detroit Lions had 457 yards, to their 168 yards of total offense. That is embarrassing. I can't emphasize it enough. You can't win a National Football League like this. This is their third straight loss. And they had another horrible loss earlier this season,

44 to 19 to the New Orleans States at home. And this is their worst home loss since 1988, fifth worst loss in the history of this franchise. Jerry Jones said before the season started, They were all in. They've given up 40 plus points twice at home in three gangs, but they were all in. Made no free agent moves that were substantive, had any substance to them. So you made no crazy free agent moves.

Your offensive line is worse. You lose Tyron Smith. You draft a rookie. Still going to develop. We don't know what he is yet, but he's not Tyrant Smith. and although Tymer was banged up, he still was a very solid player, high-level player. This offensive line is a big part of the problem. You can't run the football, so you can't run the football.

You're a one-dimensional team. You're expecting that Prescott to have the season he did last year, but last year the running game was better. And when you're able to run the ball, when you're able to play a good defense, it takes pressure off the quarterback, and they're not doing that. I don't know. I don't know what you're, I expected from. but I expected this game to be a lot better than what it was.

Micah Parsons, people are talking about him doing his podcast and the distractions and the team. They're three and three. They're three and three. So they're fine. They're in the middle of this NFC East race that just doesn't seem like as strong of a division this year. The commanders who look like a real, really cool, fun team to watch, lost to the Baltimore Ravens in a close game. Philadelphia Eagles beat.

The one in five Browns by four points at home, you know, their fans are booing Siriani and calling for him to get fired, and he's chirping back at the fans. So there's a lot of chaos in the NFC East right now. So it's not out of hand, but it just doesn't feel like a season where there's a lot of hope, even when you have hope. I'm sure Dallas Cowboy fans don't have a lot of good things to talk about offensively. They look disconnected, disjointed, Dak Prescott, 17, and 3,000. 33, 178, no touchdowns, two interceptions and just two bad interceptions.

There were overthrows to branch. He made the good play. He caught the ball. I mean, I can't say he made a great play because he was overthrown footballs. But he made the play. Almost took one of them back for a touchdown. He was sacked four times. Could have been sacked more than that, but he got rid of the ball.

C.D. Lam, seven catches for 89 yards on 14 targets. Just hasn't had the production that we're expecting. we've expected from him. And after my comment last year, everybody got on me and killed me. Oh, you're looking at you wrong. Now, you know, everybody's coming back to Earth. And that Prescott's coming back to Earth.

C.D. Lamb is coming back to Earth. And it's because it's offensive line more than anything. And he needs a number of two receiver. We thought, you know, you hear rumbling straw training camp. It's Tober. It wasn't Tober. He had a big drop. And a lot of people were saying, hey, maybe it's a.

son and the glare of that stadium. Jerry, this has been an issue in this stadium for years, and it's time to get it fixed. If it's affecting your players and it's affecting the other team, then it's not a home field advantage of any kind. So you need to put, I don't know if they're going to shade that or put some tin on the windows or something because it's an issue when you're looking in that direction and the sun is positioned in a certain way. I play in that stadium, it becomes a really big issue. And it was an issue in one of Dak Prescott's intercept. it appears. But let's talk about the Detroit Lions because Mitchell isn't here today because he was at the game.

So I don't want to go without speaking about the Detroit Lions, that Honolulu Blue wearing team. They got their revenge and they kept their foot on the gas the entire game. Even once the backups came in, they were still throwing the ball, trying to get a touchdown, caused the turnover. Defense caused two turnovers once the backups came in. So they weren't, they weren't slowing down. at all. Jared Golph played an incredible game, 18 to 25 for 315, three touchdown, zero interception, and it just looked so easy. He looked like he was throwing playing pitching, catch,

in practice against the scout team the entire game. He looked comfortable in the pocket. He did get sacked a few times, but that's going to happen. But this offensive line bullied the Dallas Cowboys the entire night. David Montgomery had 12 carries for 80 yards, two touchdowns. Jamir Gibbs also had 12 carries for around 67 yards, I think, no touchdowns, but they were able to get what they wanted on the ground. Sam LaPorta had the one catch off the flea flicker for a touchdown. Looked really good. On the other side, there's a lot of calls for concern and prayers go out to Aidan Hutchinson, who has been having an incredible season, a phenomenal season, leading the league and sacks. Got a sack in this game.

On that play, tragically, it appeared that he broke his leg. You hate to see any kind of injuries like that, especially an injury that just looks so devastating and gruesome. So prayers go out to him and his family that he has a healthy, a fast, quick recovery, and he's able to be the same player or a better player than he was before the injury. Because he's a big part of the heartbeat of this defense. He's a he's a great analogy of what this team stands for, who they are, hardworking, gritty player works hard, playing in and play out, does everything, does all the little things, does all the dirty work, and was really, really, really a big-time leader on this defense,

and a big-time playmaker, and that's a huge loss for this Detroit Lions team. So prayers go out to him. Brian Branch and Kirby Joseph both have interception in the game. They played really good games. They're secondary, their team. You just feel like this Detroit Lions team is starting to jail and starting to arrive. After a season where you lose an NFC championship and you get all the way to the promised land and you kind of surprise people and sometimes surprise yourselves,

sometimes there's a bit of a lull and sometimes there's a bit of a hangover, a disappointment. of what you could have been, but Ben Johnson came back and his play calling and is more creative than ever. This offense looks as good as ever. He's finding ways to get everybody involved. Jameson Williams, who's a big-time playmaker, had three catches for 76 yards. He found him in a number of ways. And that's something that he seems like he's focused on spreading the ball around. Obviously, Amun Ross St. Brown got his in this game, a really cool touchdown reception at the end of the game, corner to end zone, front corner to end zone from Jared Gough. But I'm just really feeling like this team is going to be there late in the season,

late in January and competing for the Super Bowl this year, potentially are at least an NFC championship again. San Francisco 49ers picked up a big win this week, but coming off a really, really concerning loss to the Arizona Cardinals, who again got their faces kicked in this week by the Green Bay Packers. and did not look good. Only scored 13 points in the ball game. But I think this Detroit Lions team is the B's knees.

I think they're one of the best teams in the NFC. It's going to be tough. I want to see how they compete against the Minnesota Vikings because they're the cream of the crop right now in the north, and I know it's unexpected. But they're 5-0. They're playing good football. They beat some of the NFC's best,

mainly the San Francisco 49ers out in Minnesota. So this is a division opponent. This division with them, Detroit's 4 and 1. Minnesota's 5 and 0. I think the Chicago Bears are 4 and 2 now. Caleb Williams is starting to come around and play good football, went out to London, and had his way with the Jacksonville Jaguars. So this is going to be one of the toughest divisions in football. It already was. We just talked about the Green Bay Packers, putting a whipping on the Arizona Cardinals in Lambo. They're 4 and 2. It's pointing towards some really, really fun matches. some really, really fun, meaningful games in November and December, and I can't wait to see it because they're likely going to put at least three teams in the playoffs this year.

That's the way it's trending. And of course, one of them is going to be the Detroit Lions and that offensive line. Again, these teams are built in their trenches and the teams built in the trenches usually have a lot of success in the playoffs. And speaking of that matchup, we're getting that matchup that I'm talking about. Next week, the Lions are in Minnesota to play the Minnesota Vikings coming off a by week. I can't wait to watch that game. The Cowboys have a buy week to think about this 47 to 9 drubbing that they just took at the hands of the Detroit lines.

I mean, they just look better in every possible way. And that's why our Uber Eats almost, almost perfect defense. Everybody on this team came ready to play. This defense is going to be a problem going forward. And this is after they lost one of their biggest playmakers in a game,

which is an emotional blow, a physical blow, and obviously a personnel blow to this defense. It did not change the structure. These guys played even harder, even better. Now let's move on to that my favorite game, my game in a week that I thought would be a really fun matchup between the Washington Commanders and the Baltimore Ravens. Jaden Janiel, I wanted to see how he would stand up against a true contender in the AFC, a team that was in the AFC championship, that's been perennial contenders, that's

always got a really strong defense. Lamar Jackson does not lose the NFC teams for some reason, he did not lose this day. Jane Daniels was 2435, 269, two touchdowns, a pretty solid game. Didn't get as much on the ground as he had in previous games. They had a good plan for him. They put a lot of pressure on him. Terry McLaurin, six catches for 53 yards, two touchdowns. Dante Fowler had two sacks.

He was an impact player all day in this game. But Lamar Jackson, again, incredible. 20 of 26, 323, one touchdown, did throw the interception. earlier in the game, but Derek Henry continues to make this team go and continues to be the engine that this team relies on early and, of course, late in ball games, 24 rushes for 132, two touchdowns, leads the NFL with nine rushing touchdowns. He's been a factor. This team, it seems like the Baltimore Ravens, again, on the ground, getting their mojo back, getting their consistency back after a really head scratching loss against the, the loss.

Vegas Raiders and a loss that you can understand against the reigning Super Bowl champs and the Kansas City Chiefs. They have fixed their formula. They're running the ball more than ever. And when they're not running the ball, Lamar Jackson is finding his way through the air, being efficient with the football, taking his shots when he can. They're running more quarterback powers and he's getting some gains there. But having Derek Henry, I think they're over the last seven, six games, they're the greatest

rushing duo. to ever step foot in the National Football League. I'm talking about quarterback and running back together. It's been incredible. They've won four straight. Derek Henry is the first player since the Danion Tomlinson in 2005 with a rushing touchdown in six straight games. And he's not just getting a one-yard touchdowns.

He's getting long gains, big gains. He's wearing defenses down. He's the last of the great, you know, every downback, downhill, eye formation, full back in front, downhill backs. that is left in a national football league. There are some really good backs in it, but they're more versatile. Alvin Kamara.

You got Christian McCaffrey, who's obviously injured right now. You got a lot of backs who catch the ball out of the backfield, Sequin Barkley out in Philadelphia. But he's the last of the old school, old school football backs that just, hey, line him up in eye, downhill, downhill, downhill. 24 carries. He's going to wear down this off, I mean, this defensive line, wear down these linebackers and continue to punish them.

And Baltimore Ravens are playing just incredible football, both sides of the football. They're playing incredible ball, both sides. And defensively, they were able to corral Jayden Daniels in a way that teams haven't been. This is the number one and number two scoring offenses in a national football league. They were able to hold the Washington Commanders to 23 points. And now it's time for our brightling players in prime time, brought to you by our friends and partners over at Brightling. Y'all know what it is. And this week, it had to be Derek Henry. His 24 carries for 132 yards and two touchdowns. I mean, nobody wanted to tackle him on that football field. He just continues to impose his wheel each and every week, six touchdowns. I mean, a rushing touchdown in every single game this season. He's a dominant force. I think he's the factor that the Baltimore Ravens were looking for,

and I think they're going to continue to lean on him. And when the playoffs come, we're not going to be talking about, man, they should have ran the ball more. They're going to give it to Derek Henry 20 to 25 times and see what happens. If Lamar Jackson can continue to play at the level he's playing, this team is going to be very tough to get out of the playoffs, even for teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens, I mean, and the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Texans,

It's going to be some fun, fun, fun football late in the season. I can't wait for it. Shout out to Jared Kimery, our primetime player of the week this week. Great game. And I know, I know, I know. Don't keep beating up Trevor Lawrence.

I mean, it's enough. He's seen, I know, I know. Trevor didn't even play that bet. I'll give you that. Trevor didn't play an awful game. He did have the interception, but didn't fumble the ball, didn't have a lot of turnovers, did have a turnover. But they're not getting a lot from this defense. And Caleb Williams, who struggled this season at times, you know, to diagnose defense, holds the ball a little bit,

especially when you disguise coverage a little bit, had his best game as a pro. Caleb Williams has gotten better, and I've seen growth in him. He's getting the ball out quicker on three of his touchdown and explosive passes. The ball was out in under two and a half seconds. That's a huge growth and a huge improvement from where he was at the beginning of this season where he's holding the ball waiting for plays to develop, trying to get the home run hit. Now he's understanding, hey, you can get a home run off a line drive.

It's going to be an infield home run. But he's getting the ball to his playmaker's quick. Keenan Allen being back and healthy is a huge part of that. He threw a dime to him early in the game for a touchdown. That's a great safety blanket to have. Cole Comet had a really good game. They're being creative. That's what I really like about what I'm seeing about in the Chicago Bears

is the creativity offensively. I'm seeing a lot of motion. I'm seeing a lot of screen games. I've seen plays that I only seen from Kyle Shanahan and Andy Reed before. I mean, you're talking about the fake tunnel screen to the fake bubble screen. to the seam straight down the middle. I saw Kyle Shanahan do it against Seattle Seahawks. A number of years ago, I saw the Kansas City Chiefs do it against us.

And when I was in San Francisco in 2018, I seen them do it a number of other times. But it's that kind of creativity that takes some of the pressure off the offensive line and makes the defensive line kind of take a step back and think a little more than they have to. They don't just get to pin their ears back and go after the quarterback with no thought. of, hey, it might be a screen.

It may be this. It may be that. You're putting their eyes in different places. You're spreading the defense. You're putting a lot of hesitation and doubt in the defender's heads. And that's what's allowing Caleb Williams to continue to thrive. He's seven touchdowns to one interception, 74% completion percentage, 122.8 pass a rating in the last three games.

That's an incredible deal. We were very tough on the Chicago Bears' offense. line and some of it was warranted and some of it is on the quarterback holding the ball too long and taking unnecessary sacks. Both sides have improved. The offensive line is playing better for the Chicago Bears. Caleb Williams is getting the ball out quicker. He's making better decisions. Throwing the ball away when he doesn't have it. Those are some of the things you learn as a young player. You get better. Another revelation that's coming into the fold is DeAndre Swift. 17 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown that rushing attack, again, helps a young quarterback to thrive.

It helps him. It makes sure that the D-line has to respect the run. They have to respect that, hey, we will gash you in the run game. So you can't just rush past. You can't just rush up the field. You have to play for the run, too. So all those things, help a young quarterback, help a passing game, help an offensive line. And that's what's happening.

But then on the other side, this Chicago Bears defense has been. been legit. We talked about the number one defense since week eight of last season, continuing what they started from week eight last season. They're playing good defense. They're getting turnovers. They cause the force fumble. They got an interception. They're causing issues all to every team, not just the Jacksonville Jaguars. They went over to London and they packed their defense. They packed their run game. It's really cool to see in this very, very tough NFC North conference to see the Chicago Bears playing this well on both sides of the ball, finally allowing all these playmakers to shine. Caleb Williams did have a little blemish on his performance,

an underthrown ball earlier in the game that got intercepted. You can't have it. You got to complete that. DJ Moore ran a good route, was wide open, should have been another touchdown pass for him, but it ended up being a turnover. But those are just some of the things you got to clean up. You know, as a young player, he's going to have those moments. He's not going to be perfect. He'll learn from him. I'm sure DJ Moore is frustrating like, hey, come on. Like, why do you have to mess up mine? Everybody else got to eat. I want to eat too. But those are things I think he'll get fixed. I thought, you know, Jacksonville played solid. Their third quarter just was, I mean, it just was penalty field. It looked like it was penalty after penalty after penalty

after penalty on one of the drives where they had a chance to stop to Chicago Bears and maybe flip the momentum back to their side, they just could not get off the field. Every third down, penalty, every third down, penalty, every third down penalty. They're just shooting themselves in the foot. And people are calling for Doug Peterson's job. And I get it. Your team's not winning. They're one in five.

They're a really talented team. But when you're one in five and you just paid a quarterback, $55 million, you have to start pointing the finger at more than the coach. Like, did you, did the, did the quarterback is, is he not factoring into this? I mean, he had, he was 23 of 35, 234, two touchdowns, and interception. Sometimes, again, these wins and losses, you give credit, you give money to these guys to play at a high level and you have a high regard for him. And I, I was told, oh, man, Trevor Lawrence got him to the playoffs, but he didn't get him to the playoffs until Doug Peterson got there. And then when he got him to the playoffs, I was told Doug Peterson was the answer.

That's what I was hearing from Jacksonville fans. Man, they were so happy. They were so got a coach that can unlock the hidden talent of Trevor Lawrence. But now they're calling for Doug Peterson to get fired. And this is the same Doug Peterson that went to a Super Bowl with Nick Foles after Carson Wentz, who was having an MVP-type season when I would injury, won it with Nick Foles. and I just don't, I don't think that that coach is the issue. Now, maybe he's not doing a great job. Maybe, maybe there's other things factoring in, but ETSN is a good player.

Evan Ingram is a good player. I think Gabe Davis is a good player. I think you have solid players on defense, especially the defensive line. And I just don't, I don't know, I don't, I'd love to hear what other people think the problem is. I think you have to put some blame on the quarterback. You have to put some blame on the defense.

not getting stops. You have to put some blame on the head coach, but does firing Doug Peterson get it done? Does that solve your issues? You fired Doug Peterson and who do you hire? Maybe Ben Johnson, I guess. It'll be a top candidate this year. You hire another offensive coach,

so then you give Trevor a couple more years to blame another offensive coordinator as a coach and say it's the coach's fault again because he's not developing. I just don't know. I don't know if they made the right decision paying him. And now you're one in five and you're likely going to be picking in the top 10 in the draft next year,

and you're not picking a quarterback because you just paid him $55 million. If you pay a quarterback $55 million, and you're picking in the top 10, and he has something to do with it. Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal but encouraged. It's the enhanced games. Some call it grotesque. Others say it's unleashing human potential.

What are y'all doing? Microphones? Are you making a rap album? Oh, I would. Come on. I would buy it. Cuts through the defense like a hot knife through sponge cake.

That sounds delicious. Oh, you're lucky. I'm not a drug addict. You're lucky I'm not an alcoholic. You are. I'm lucky I'm not a killer. I love this team, and I'm really trying to be a figure in their lives that they can rely on. Oh.

Congratulations to the Chicago Bears and the growth of your young quarterback. the growth of your team, the growth of your offense, the steady play of your defense and special teams. That's been really impressive. I'm looking forward to see these NFC North matchups because I think it's going to be a great game. And I'm sure everybody in that building feels confident and feels good about where they come as a team after dealing with everything they dealt with last year. But on the flip side, Jacksville, Jaguars, they got to figure it out. They got to figure it out.

you're staying in London, which I don't know how you feel about that because you just got your butt kicks there. But butts kicked there. And now you have the New England Patriots coming into town. And Drake May didn't have the worst game in the world, but he's still learning. He's a rookie quarterback. They don't have as much talent as he probably needs to really thrive. But he made some cool plays out of 40-yard touchdown. So this isn't going to be a push-over game either.

This is two relatively bad teams by NFL-South. standards coming in to play each other. And if the Jacksonville Jaguars lose this game, I would expect them to make a move to remove Doug Peterson from the head coaching job. I don't think it's the right decision, but I think that the noise would get too loud for them not to make a move, for them not to fire somebody. Somebody is going to have to go if they're one and six after this week and lose to the New England Patriots in London, which is their pseudo home game in the UK because that's a fan base that follows them. That's where they, they, they, put a lot of their resources.

And so I'm really going to be paying attention to this game this week because they're playing early enough for us to watch that game. It'll happen before the 10 o'clock games even start. And we'll likely have an answer on their playing right back of what they're going to do, what the fate of Doug Peterson, who I believe is a good coach is. And then what Trevor Lawrence is going to have to do in the future because he's going to be a $55 million quarterback no matter what. You just signed the deal.

He hasn't even started making that money yet. So you got at least two years with him before you can move off of him. And I don't think he's the answer. And I didn't think he was the answer in the first place. And I had a lot of questions about how they came to the decision to pay him. It was like, hey, he's solid. So let's just give him all the money. Like, no, no, no, no.

That's quite a quarterback you franchise and you make prove it again. But now you're stuck in that contract. Now you're blaming head coaches. So if you get rid of the head coach and bring another head coach in and it doesn't work, then what? Then they're like, oh, Jacksonville is just cursed. Well, I saw Blake Bortles take them to an AFC championship. So I don't know. I don't know.

I got ridiculed for the Gardner Men'shoe comment. But if you're saying, oh, Trevor Lawrence, he took this team to the playoffs. And if he can do that, then he deserves, well, y'all wasn't trying to pay Blake Bortles. And I know it was Saxonville and one of the greatest D-lines and one of the greatest sack performances of a defense's had in this decade. but still, Blake Bordos took them to the AFC championship and was really close to getting them to a Super Bowl. So when you make that argument about Trevor Lawrence, it's going to fall on deaf ears because football is a lot bigger game than that.

And that argument is, it gets crazy once I start bringing up other facts into it. So let's not get too crazy. But moving on, the bears are getting a much deserved by week. We're going to move on to the Eagles versus the Browns. which was just, I mean, not a fun game to watch. I thought both defenses played solid. There were times again that Deshaun Watson looked like his old self. Second half, he started off with eight straight completions.

Not long completions by any stretch, but completions. And found a little bit of a rhythm. They were getting a little bit of a rhythm on the ground. Foreman went out for a while but came back. The Philadelphia Eagles really missed all. day always open. A.J. Brown, he had a huge game. He came in and made a huge impact immediately. And that's where Jalen Hertz was looking early and often. Devante Smith had a big time grab in the game as well. But they only beat the one in five rounds 20 to 16. And when you have your head coach,

who's obviously a human being. And when you're a human being, you hear the noise. When they're chanting fire you during a game in which you win. I personally would have turned around and said, hey, I got some choice works for y'all too. Like, y'all, I can't say it on air. You know, this is a PG show. PG-13. But I would have had the same energy form. But in this league, when you have that energy form, there's going to come with a lot of conversations,

a lot of questions, a lot of ridicule. And I expect them to have to answer some questions. That was a big win, but they did not win by the margin that you expect them to be. a one in five team. And which are two weapons back, you expected them to just play and perform better offensively. You got the new coordinator defensively. Vic Fangio system seems to be starting to growing guys and guys starting to understand. I thought Quinion Mitchell had a good shot of interception, but CJ Gardner Johnson, you know, they came together. He was a lot of frustration, but there was a chance that had to turn over. I thought Jalen Carter had a lot

to impact this game. He's starting to figure this system out. They're playing like they're capable of on the defensive side. But again, when you have discourse and you've got chaos of fans coming after a head coach and blowing them at home in a game, you're winning, and then you have the coach going back at the fans that just doesn't make for an ideal scenario. For anybody, I'm sure it'll be addressed, and I'm looking forward to hear what he thinks about that. The Texans continue to roll, and Mitchell's not going to be happy

because he thinks his Detroit Lions need to move up to third. power rankings, but the way the Houston Texans are playing, they put up 40 plus points for the first time with C.J. Stroud at the helm, he threw for 192 yards, three touchdowns, and the one interception. Joe Mixing, man, he came back with a vengeance, had 102 yards in a touchdown. Stefan Diggs had six catches for 77 yards in a touchdown. Will Anderson. Will Anderson and DeNeil Hunter are just fun to watch. You just see the pockets collapsing every single time they're rushing up the field. He had three sacks in the game, four TFLs, three quarterback hits, obviously.

But he is becoming the player that they always knew he would be. I mean, three sacks in this game. And as I said before, they are just built the right way. The foundational pieces that you want to build your team around the Houston Texans have, the left tackle, Laramie Tonsal, one of the best in football. You got the past rushers now in Daniel Hunter and Will Anderson. You got the corner in Stingley. You got the receivers.

Obviously, Nico Collins is down for a while, but it was leading a league in receiving yards for a while when he was available. You got a good tight-in in Dalton Schultz. You got a good running back, a really good productive running back in Joe Mixon, who has been a revelation. I think he's been better than even they expected him to be coming off the injury. He just looked fantastic in the past game and a run game.

And then when you lose a guy like Nico Collins to have, have a veteran outstanding number one receiver who's been a number one in this league for a long time and Stefan Diggs just step up and move right into his place. Tankdale, again, making an impact. It's just a cool team to watch. And I still think they're going to be there near the end causing problems. I look forward to seeing which team they play later on in those rounds. Is it going to be the Baltimore Ravens or the Kansas City Chiefs?

Because either way, I'm going to be sitting there with my popcorn watching. I think C.J. Stroud is going to find a way. way to get it done. He's the gamer, and he's one of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League for a reason. Moving on to the Green Bay Packers in Lambo facing the Arizona Cardinals. Three fumbles recovered in that game. This defense leading the league in turnovers, my guy, Jeff Hathley, at the helm, making sure he gets these guys in the right plays, gets these guys in the right call. We had Xavier McKinney on, and he just says he has a way of talking to players, accepting criticism, accepting feedback from the players, what they want to run, what they

don't want to run. And it has this defense rolling. They're humming. They're a true contender because offensively, they're playing really well. Jordan Love playing well enough. Again, they're doing it by committee. You don't know, Romeo Dobbs had two touchdowns today. Reed had one, whether it's going to be Reed, is it going to be Watson?

You don't know whose day it's going to be, and I don't think they care. Josh Jacobs continues to run the ball really well, but this defense is causing turnovers at an alarming rate. And that is why they're a very dangerous team, especially late in the season. This Packers team really abused Arizona Cardinals who were coming off a huge win against the San Francisco 49ers in which they ran the ball well. They threw the ball well. They defended well. And they had no answers for the Green Bay Packers. But this defense has held opponents below 20 points.

in four of their first six games, which is incredible. This defense, I think, has the makings of one of the best defenses in the national footballing, and they're coming together. And again, Jeff Hathley is a big reason. He's a big change. Xavier McKinney and his five interceptions and the six turnovers is also a huge part. Some of the additions they made, along with Jair Alexander, and guys like Kenny Clark continuing to develop, Preston Smith, continue to be a menace.

I think all those guys, Kishon Nixon, again, they, they. They've built a really strong secondary, a really strong defense from the front to the back. And it's been impressive. I look forward to seeing when they run into the Detroit Lions, when they have to deal with the Minnesota Vikings, which they've already played. And it didn't look great early. And then they found, started to find their rhythm and come through. I think it's going to be some really fun again games in November and December for this team. The Colts find a way to win again with my guy, Flacko.

Flacco is just getting it done. He's from the old guard. He has a poise about him. It's not going to be perfect, but he's going to get it done. You call the right plays. He's going to feed the right guys. He's going to hit the open guy, make the right decision. And he's playing with no, nothing to lose.

What does he have to lose? And the Indianapolis Colts could have started Anthony Richardson this game, but they decided to go with Joe Flacco, the veteran, and continue to let Anthony Richardson watch and learn from this guy. And they're continuing. They won this game. They had a chance to win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Unfortunately, they didn't get it done, but it wasn't because of Flacco.

That's for sure. He threw for $3.59 that game, and he had another good games. 11 play, 75-yard, game-winning drive. Deserves a lot of credit and a lot of praise for the way he's played last season with the Browns and this season with the Indianapolis Colts. If they make the playoffs, he'd be a big part of it and a big reason why. And I'm very proud of you, Flako. As one of the guys from the old guard, keep holding it down.

for the veterans. Well, the Buccaneers found their way to put up 51 points in the rivalry game against New Orleans Saints. Now, this game I've been a part of this rivalry, at least in my short tenure with Tampa Bay, and it's always chaotic, heated. I've never seen 51 points put up by either team, I don't think, that I can remember. But Tampa Bay has put up 30 plus in three straight ball games. Baker Mayfield is playing some of his best football. He threw for four touchdowns, but he did have the three interceptions, trying to get aggressive, trying to put the ball into his playmaker's hands. It didn't always work out great,

but this team continues to play well and do things defensively. Again, Todd Bowles finds a way to get the most out of his players. They got the guys to get it done. Vita Vaya had a good game. Levante David looks like his old self. They're covering well. They're forcing turnovers at a high tilt. Baker Mayfields threw for 325 yards.

four touchdowns, three interceptions, his 15 touchdown passes, lead the National Football League, at least for now, before the Sunday night game, because Joe can throw for four and be leading the league again. Chris Godwin, again, the most underrated receiver in National Football League has 11 catches for 125 yards and two touchdowns. And one of those touchdowns came, he had to work for it, broke multiple tackles, probably broke four or five tackles on that play to help break this game open for the good guys. Tampa Bay Buccaneers come away with the game where they score with a win scoring 51 points versus their hated rivals. And I know Cam Jordan got on the podcast and said it's not a rivalry to them. Their rivals are the Atlanta Falcons. But Tampa feels

it's a rivalry. And putting up 51 points, Saints might want to take them a little more seriously. That's for sure. Well, again, thank you guys.
