I see you chuckling there, Aaron. I didn't say hello, friends, simply because you're in a master's polo, though your master's polo may have incepted me in some sort of ways because I don't think I've ever opened a show like that. In fact, I don't think that I plan to start the show like that.

It just kind of ended up happening awkwardly, and I rolled with it. Whatever. The point is, sorry, I haven't been live last. couple of days. Hope you enjoyed the breakdowns of the playoffs. I feel like I really had to teach Aaron a lot. I feel like he grew a lot. And I cannot wait to come back on Monday's snaps and kind of, you know, recap just how right I was about everything. And I think this show today, this Fets Fed show is going to be a continuation of the last couple of days because I don't just like my best bets today. I love my best bets.

Bob will be regretting some of his decisions he made this this week, and I can't wait to rub it in his face come Monday or or Saturday night. I don't know. They're doing late night steps. I'm not sure. I think we do late night steps. So maybe a little Saturday night. New Year's rubbing in the face kind of night. So I'm excited for that. Love my bets. Love my bets. It's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's a little bit interesting bowl season who's motivated, who's playing, who's opting out. There's a lot to kind of break down.

But I feel really good about what I got today. So let's go three and no. Let's finish the season with a boom. Let's go baby. Let's go six and oh this weekend. Can we hit? Hey, we were four and two last week. Okay.

Solid boat boys two and one. Can we get our first six and oh week here at the finish line? Fingers crossed. Let's see what we got. I'm starting here with the Alabama Crimson Tide. This is one of those lines where, you know me, okay, I am not an Alabama fan. Now, unfortunately, the Alabama discourse has been such that I find myself having to defend them at every turn now because people have run so far with this idea that the Empire of Sabin is over.

The empire is down. The empire is not out. And the empire's culture is such that Bryce Young and Will Anderson are playing in this game, even though it's not a playoff game. And it's just a bowl game. And they are literally the number one and two player on all the major scouts big boards. It's absurd. Those two have chosen who play in this bowl game in today's day and age.

And so when I get on our wonderful benefactors sports book, fan duel and I see Alabama minus six and a half playing in New Orleans in a stadium and city that they have basically made their second home and they're going against Kansas State who is good. Don't get me wrong. I like them. But from a pure town level is not even in the same stratosphere. And even from like an execution level is not really to level of it. And I see six and a half, not even seven and a half.

I only need a touch. Are you shitting me? Like, I had to double check. I mean, me and Brum were talking about it before the show. And he was like, no, no, no. Surely that line was set before we knew that Young and Anderson was playing. But no, you get on the site. It's there. I mean, I immediately went and threw down on it.

I hate that I'm here. But yeah, I think Alabama covers the six and a half and feel very comfortable about it. It's not even a slight against Kansas State. It's just that the death of Alabama has been greatly exaggerated. So I was almost made an oopsie and almost made a prediction on this game, but I will actually be on the call for ESPN Radio. So tune in if you're on the road or if you're not enjoying the, I don't even know who's calling it on TV,

but if you're not enjoying them, you can always get the mute button, try on the ESPN Radio, listen to your boy. I would appreciate that and send some feedback. But don't, listen, a little bit surprised on that. I will say, you know,

having Will Anderson back, having Bryce back, I think was a, sent a message into the locker room for Alabama that we care about this football game, that we should be excited to be here. This game actually means something because if they didn't play, then the mid-time locker room would be, okay, guys,

like, we don't have our best two players. This game really mean anything. It's a bowl game. It's that we're so accustomed to being the playoffs. Do we even care to play? We're in New Orleans, let's go, you know, turn up and have some fun. But I think having those two leaders there really got everyone's mindset.

And I do, I will disagree with you. I do think Kansas State's a really good football team. They are. I think, I think we'll have, I think, I think we'll have a good quarterback, you know, Ducet running back. They got some talents. They're going to come out swinging, man. Like, you know, everyone always wants to knock down the big dog.

And there is, you always say, you always use the phrase, there's blood in the water. There's a little bit of blood and water right now for Alabama. They have shown some weaknesses this season. They've been vulnerable at times, obviously losing two football games, have been close against Texas and, you know, close game versus Texas A&M. They're not as elite as we think they are with or without Bryce Young. This is still a good football team, not a great football team. So I think you need to get over that point.

And I think Kansas State looks at them and says the same thing. Like we've watched the tape. We've had three or four weeks to prepare and see who they are. They're not as scary as they've been in years past. We are not scared to face Alabama here in the Sugar Bowl. So listen, I don't know. I'm hoping for a great game. because I'll be on the call.

I don't want to blow out. But you know what? Like I said, I'm not going to make a call for bets. I didn't say it's going to be entertaining. I didn't say blowout, but I do see 10. I think Alabama wins by 10 here. And again, it's not even a slight against Kansas State.

Alabama can be slipping and Kansas State can be peaking, but just given the last decade where the two programs have been, Alabama is just in a much more well-seasoned Yeah, I agree. Like, but I think it looks like a cast iron skillet. I will give this to like the fact that Alabama with all that talent and,

and a lot of youth gets those extra practices. Yeah. I think it's pivotal because you give 15 more practices to Nick Saban and a bunch of five star athletes. That's, that's a little bit dangerous. To me, it's,

it's also, it's a New Orleans factor. Man, they're so comfortable in that building in that city. in that process. They played their time and time again. So Alabama money six and a half. Aaron Murray, your first best.

All right. My first best bet, you better bet this one, just for what it means. Mississippi State versus Illinois. Mississippi State getting one and a half points. Mississippi State plus one and a half. You talk about ultimate motivation right now for the Bulldogs.

You lost your coach, a guy that has meant so much at college football. And I'm sure I cannot wait to. see on January 2nd, the ceremony that's going to be happening. I had the bowl game, the Gasparola Bowl in Raymond James Stadium this past Friday. And I'm looking at the ship and I'm just like, man, I cannot wait to see. And I think they're actually going to have special helmets with a, you know, like a buccaneer on the side, a pirate on the side of their helmets from Mississippi State.

They're going to be motivated. We always talk about in bowl games, what team is motivated to play, which team is not motivated to play. Illinois, their top running back. Brown is, I don't know, is he played or not. I know he's declared the NFL draft. I will look at it. So I don't think, I don't know if he's playing or not.

I should look that ahead of time. He has a current NFL drafts. I would assume that he's not playing in this game. I think that's a big loss. Always in Mississippi State, you know, they lost the running back. They also lost Ronald Thomas to the other Bulldogs, Georgia Bulldogs. But still, James Brown has opted out. He is opted out.

Yeah, that's bad for Illinois right there. There's a team that, you know, obviously it's how they score points. It's how they move the football. And I like Mississippi State on defense. I like Will Rogers on offense. and I just think that there's that motivational factor as well. Hey, guys, we want to win this one for our coach. And we want to finish the season off with a bang.

So for all those reasons, give me the same, they're game points as well. So go Bulldogs and go Mike Leach. Yeah, I agree. I think you hit the nail on the head in that I feel like I have to put money on that game out of principle. I want to throw my energy behind honoring Mike Leach. and again, it's heartbreaking because it would have been the perfect bowl game for him to coach. It is also very suiting that such a preratically themed bowl game would be the game that his team would be playing in immediately after his passing. So I will be swinging my sword.

I'm with you there. My next pick, much of the year, I've been La Petit Trojan boy. That said, I do live in Louisiana. and probably my favorite story in all of college football, have been the Tulane Green Wave. They've been fantastic, not just good at winning games, but incredible against a spread. In fact, still the best team in the country against a spread this year.

However, I mean, whenever you do these best bets, you kind of look at things that jump off the page. And maybe this jumps off the page too much, and it's a bit of a sucker line, but it looks like Caleb Williams is going to play in this game. I haven't found any discussion otherwise. In fact, he has said that he definitely wants to play the game. He's looking forward to it.

USC minus one and a half. And Tulane's offense is very good, especially running ball. USC's defense is garbage. And Julian's defense is pretty good, whereas USC's offense. I just think Caleb Williams is too overwhelming here. Yeah. Right? We talked about it a bit earlier in the week.

Now, I know we fell on different sides of McCarthy versus Duggan in the context of the two teams. But Caleb Williams here is just too overwhelming, too many points. And though Tulane will score, I don't think they can keep up enough to win this game. So give me the Trojan minus the one and a half here. It is in, why am I blank right now? Is that it in New Orleans, right? No, where is it again?

Not every game can be in New Orleans. No, no, no, it's in down. It's right, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, yeah. No, that is in Dallas. Yeah, give me the Trojans minus one to have. Though I would not be mad if I was wrong here. And Tulay wins this game because that would be massive for the local school.

But I think the Trojans cover. Yeah, I think Caleb's just too, too strong for that game as well. If he's healthy and even 90%, I think they win that football game. By least a touchdown. All right, my next best bet goes to the orange versus orange in the Orange Bowl. It's going to be so much orange in that stadium. that's going to want to make your head explode. Tennessee getting four and a half points.

Give me that all day of the week. And you just go to the quarterback matchup, just straight up. Just go to the quarterback matchup. You got both backups. You got Club Nick on one side. You got Joe Milton on the other side. Who do I trust more?

Because both teams have been really hurt by guys opting out. Clemson lost some guys on defense. Tennessee's awesome guys on the opposite side of the football. I will look at what quarterback do I feel comfortable enough to move the football down the field to put his offense in the best position. I think Joe Milton's a good quarterback. I know he's had some struggles in the past. I think he's matured this year.

I've really liked what he's done when he's come in. And either in garbage time or been the starter versus Vanderbilt, he's looked good. I don't know if I'd trust Cape Clubnick just yet. He's still very green. He could be a really good quarterback next year. Give him an offseason. We'll see.

I still like Tennessee in this football game. What they do on defense, a lot of exotic blitzes, a lot of pressures. I think they're going to find ways to confuse him, force him into some bad situations where maybe you get a couple turnovers if you're Tennessee. But at the end of the day, I think this is Joe Milton's opportunity to really put a rubber stamp on this position. He's got some competition.

You know, the Nico kids already there. He's practicing with the team right now. You have another quarterback, a talented quarterback in Tavian Jackson, who's also on the roster as well. This is Joe Milton's time right now to say, 2023 is my year. I got more talent than maybe

anyone else in the country. I've had the opportunity to learn from Hinden Hooker. I've sat back. I've been humbled. Now it's time to go out and ball out. And I believe in him and that staff and that he's going to go out there and make a statement heading into next season. So I like, I like this matchup and I like the fact that they're getting points. And I'm just not a believer just yet. And Clubnik being able to put up a ton of points. So I've got some good news, Aaron. And I've got a question for you. First off, it looks like you were getting plus five and a half. Give me more.

Sparndal sports books. So a little extra juice for you there. Are you at all worried that when Tennessee has been at their best this year, the running game is what starts everything. And you are talking about a pretty elite Clemson Rush defense. So you're all worried that if- I think a couple of the guys, a couple of the guys have opted out from that defense-aligned.

So, you know, just like everyone else, they've lost some guys up front. So that's a little bit of a problem there. I'm not saying Tennessee is going to go and be the Tennessee that we've seen this year and score 40, 50 points. I think they can do enough to score in the 20s. And once again, their style of defense with banks at the defense coordinator will confuse Clemson, who has not been great on offense at all this season, confuse them enough to put them behind the chains and then maybe take advantage of a couple turnovers here there. I think Tennessee wins the football game, honestly. Like I may put some money on the money line.

I think Tennessee wins this game outright. What bowl game is this? It's the Orange Bowl. It is the Orange Bowl. Oh, that's right. Duh. Orange, orange, orange. Huh.

I wonder if Jesus would beat Tennessee in the Orange Bowl. I don't know. Okay, my last pick of the day. Okay, yeah, I see your face. It was a bad joke. It was maybe taking a bit of a dabble shot of the name. I'd like to say it didn't work. The setup was bad.

not even knowing it was all bad. You know what? Just cut that. Just cut that from the episode. My next bet and the best bet of the weekend and the sickest bet. Speaking of jumping off the page, there is one game this bull season that is as much of a beautiful disaster as you could possibly find. In fact, I love following the sickos committee on Twitter. It's a group of college football fans that look, the dirtier, weirder, more obscure, more bad, the better for these guys. And when you look at Iowa, Kentucky, both without their starting quarterbacks, between the two teams, due to opt-out transfers and everything else, only one starting receiver playing in this bowl game between the two teams.

When you look at this game and then I look at the total and I see 31 and a half, I mean, I have to play the younger. There's just no way to go about it. So out of pure principle, I have no great insight because I have no idea how these backup quarterbacks are going to be. Out of pure principle, though, I've seen, I mean, Iowa under was a sure bet all year long, Kentucky losing Will Levis when they didn't actually run the ball that well this year. Give me Iowa, Kentucky, under 31 and a half.

And shout out to everyone else on the Sickos Committee, who will be sitting here, enjoying this game with a malevolent grand. on their face. Listen, I've won a lot of money this year on betting the Kentucky under. So I fall with you on this one. It's going to be probably one of the harder games to watch if you like offensive football. All right. My last best bet of the weekend, we're going to go to the Rose Bowl. And last year's Rose Bowl, for those to remember, obviously different teams this year was awesome. Points on points, on points, on points, on points. I think we can get something similar. Maybe not to that extent. Utah, first Penn State. I'm going to take the over 51.5.

points. Both offenses have been played well this year. One scoring 40 points per game, the other scored 36 points per game. Really like the quarterbacks in this matchup, love their both teams' ability to run the football. Don't really love either defense. I think Utah this year has had their moments. They look good versus USC. But I think for the majority of the season, they've just, they've been okay, not great by any standards. You know, I do like Penn State. They're same thing. Like a lot of teams, losing guys to they're opting out. They're losing one of their top corners. who's opting out of the bowl game, getting ready for the draft.

So I think this is going to be another high scoring game. Like I said, both offenses have had a lot of success this year. I think both teams score in the 30s, which clearly puts us over. So what's the Rose Bowl? I know, I mean, I was almost stumped there, honestly. Utah versus Penn State over 51.5. Go put your money on it. There you go.
