The volume. What out there? What's up, y'all? Welcome, man. It is FCC schedule release day here on snaps. What a perfect early Christmas present. As we will discuss the biggest 2024 matchups. I know I sound like I'm being a bit tongue in cheek here.

You are. But, well, I am. But I want to be clear about this. Yes, I do. And I am. Because I can appreciate how dumb we all are. that we're sitting here and we're like,

fuck yes, schedule release. But I also am sincerely excited about it. Like, I think it is actually awesome. The conference looks incredible now that you're adding

Oklahoma and Texas. There's just good matchups on everybody's schedule. The Georgia Bulldogs are finally going to graduate from the kids table. Welcome to the adults table, guys.

No longer will you be playing in the sandbox. It is the SEC East. You're now going to be in a real murderer's roll a couple of massive matchups and we're going to break it all down for you today on snaps. And we have my guy, my favorite coach that I've ever played for in my entire life, legend of the game, Tommy Moffitt, who now Mike Elko is hired to be the new strength coach

at LSU or excuse me, at TexanM. And Aaron, I think this is a massive deal. In fact, there's a bunch of tiger droppings threads. and my mentions are a light with LSU fans who are calling me a little bitch because I was kind of like bemoaning the fact that Tommy Moffitt is now going there and how strong will be.

doing all the Cup kick games and this this schedule's sexy it's a like like I I can't there's a couple teams that maybe have favorable schedules we'll kind of get into it but I mean nothing is for if you can go undefeated you are elite of elite I mean my God these schedules are freaking beastly so I don't know how many more 12 and other teams we're going to see going forward yeah gone gone are the days of um of 29 guys game win streaks, unfortunately. Yeah.

Which is just so crazy how like numbers work that, of course it couldn't get to 30. Just because like it's fucking hard. Anyway, let's talk the schedule. And how I wouldn't do this is I want to go through our three favorite, I want to go through our three favorite games in terms of overall schedule. Then our three favorite SEC on SEC games, or I don't know if you're graded. I did. And then we'll talk to win loss records. Love Tommy Moppaon.

Aaron Murray, give me your, we'll go one game apiece. Give me one of your top three favorite games of the year. Oh, it has to be Texas, Michigan. I think that's, if you want to look at like the biggest game in the SEC, like the sexiest brands or two of the sexiest brands in college football, two teams that could be fit. I mean, there's a really good chance that we're going to have Texas, Michigan, the national championship.

So you may get a rematch in Ann Arbor and in Ann Arbor. Sorry, still a little stuffy. so some of those don't come off the tongue as well. And we too of the season. Texas is going up there. Clash of the Titans. And it looks like Quinn yours will be back. Looks like Michigan will be returning their quarterback at TBD on if our ball ends up coaching Michigan next year or not.

So wait and see if he signs that long-term extension. But if he does return, you're talking about two of the best programs heading into the season in a rematch of possibly a national championship game. So I love that game week, too. Yeah, how could you not love Texas, Michigan? I agree. I got it on there as well. Texas is at Michigan also, which granted, it's awesome that at the beginning. It would be more awesome if it was like snowing and you had Texas having to go up there in the cold.

But, you know, whatever. I won't, you know, I'm happy with it still. That was on my list as well. I also got UGA at Texas on this list. And I hate to overrepresent Texas. but that's another really sexy man. Everyone wants a little Texas. Everyone wants a piece of Texas. Well, I mean, they're new, right?

And so the shiny new thing's always going to score higher in conversations like this. But like, I would take UGA in Austin any given year. Well, maybe not as much of Texas sucked, but now the Texas is good. They're back. They look like you're going to be. It's really all the same reasons you just gave for Texas, Michigan, only in Georgia, Texas. And it's on F1 weekend in Austin. So stupid.

Well, I saw some angrily. board's talking about how they're trying to make sure we don't take over their stadium by taking up all the hotels and everything by like like basically conspiracizing that f1 plan their schedule around behooving the the texas longhorns football team i think it's more of like i think it's more like f1 was set can you move that game around so it's not on f1 weekend is what their parts about. I mean, you look at the prices. I think Cole Kublich posted something yesterday on his Twitter. The prices of hotel rooms in Tuscalo when Georgia goes to Tuscaloosa is through the roof. The prices of hotels and flights to go to Austin is just, my dad called me today.

And he said the same thing. He's like, hey, saw Georgia's going to Texas. I think I'm going to go buy a ticket to the game with your mom and I. I was like, well, you better take out like a second mortgage or something to help pay for that damn thing. Well, where are you going to sleep? You better like rent an RV. or something or go camp out. Don't, don't tip pumper with a good time. He would do that. So, first, second,

Georgia fans, you ain't going to take over Texas stadium, let's just be on. This ain't Nashville. It ain't like you're going to Vandy. You may... You'll talk over LSU that one time when Kurt, I know you're on beat Kirby Smart's ass. In 17, it was actually insane. Everybody was super down on LSU.

Everyone sold their fucking tickets. The entire stadium was Georgia. And then LSU beat that ass. I don't think anyone's selling any stock on Texas any time. All right, my next big time game. I'm going to give your Tiger some love. LSU week one in Las Vegas versus Southern Cal.

Which team cannot suck on defense? I mean, well, let's go. You have two teams that are replacing Heisen Trophy quarterbacks. You have two defenses that were horrific this year. So what's the quarterback situation going to look like? Obviously, we feel a little bit better about LSU's quarterback situation with Garrett Nussmeyer. We've seen a decent amount of him over the past couple years. I know the staff's really excited to kind of give the reins over to him,

very different than Jaden, but still very talented quarterback. I don't think we still know who USC's quarterback is going to be and who they're going to get in the portal. It's a lot more questions for USC, but which team truly made the big steps defensively is going to be answered week one. Charles Clark, LSU, USC is the all-gas, no-breaks bowl? The only that pisses me off is it's seeming like LSU is going to keep Matt House. not a guarantee yet, but it's leaning that way.

I'm just mad that we're going to be cheated out of the toilet bowl of ineptitude that would have been Alex Grinch versus Matt House defensive coordinate against one another. Like, it's not fair. USC hired a good one. Indiana from UCLA. Like, what if their defense all of a sudden good? That's not fair. That's not how this game is supposed to be played.

David J. Garrett Nussmeyer, word on the street is Jaden Daniels is actually, thinking about playing in the bowl game again somebody needs to stop that right now stop it I don't know I think he wants to but I think every single he set a record what he set a record though what he set a record

for $4,000, $1,000 I think that's maybe been I don't think it's never been done before but obviously 4K1 case would say it wants to play to get the LSU record for most of yes yes which you know look more power to you and I'll never say like I'll watch

See, if I'm LSU, I would, I would rather that too, to be honest. Like, I know, like, Jayden, you're never going to say Jaden move on, but like, how good would it be to get Garrett all those reps to get Garrett a full game under his belt? Yeah.

And then kind of assess saying, okay, this is who we are. This is what we need to improve heading into the offseason and then kind of go from there. Like selfishly, I'm kind of hoping he moves on. No, me too. Me too. That's just like a dual benefit. Although, again, if I could just watch it and Dan, just play football again,

I'm always down for that. But yeah, you're right. And I'll see this too. I think a lot's kind of riding on this game for Matt House. If you believe you can be like, oh, still. Yeah, yeah, there is an outside chance once recruiting finishes up. I don't know, man.

If the fucking Luke fickle dairy raid that has been awful puts up points, you got some problems. You got some problems. All right. Anyway. So I'd else you USC on my list is. Well, so that's actually my three. What was your third?

Because you didn't have Georgia, Texas. I mean, Georgia, Georgia Tech, obviously. I mean, who does not get really excited about a little Georgia, Georgia Tech action? I think I had all the same ones as you. Maybe Alabama going to Oklahoma end of the season. Like, I'm with you. Like, let's, let's, let's, I'm trying to find like an Oklahoma game that I'm really excited about. Selfishly, again, Oklahoma and Ellis.

you will be playing rivalry weekend in Death Valley, and that seems tight as fuck to me. Yeah, that's pretty sweet. I mean, this is a no-brainer here, but we've kind of just been the Texas horse, but Texas playing Texas A&M rivalry weekend end of the season. Like, finally that game being put back together again, like that is a hell of a way to end the season right there.

Texas, Texas A&M and college station is going to be freaking awesome. So, I mean, there's so many to choose from. I mean, Georgia starts on the season at, you know, Clemson in Atlanta. You know, that's a nice little, little start to the season for the SEC as well. Well, this is,

this is, this is, you can just, I mean, your eyes and put your finger on this, I think this master document in front of me of all the games, and just put my finger down and look up and say, damn,

that's awesome. That's going to be a sweet football game. Like, very few blog games on the schedule. I want to say a majority of the teams, or at least I know Georgia and LSU do, have 10 of 12 power 5 games. I'm going to go on a limb and say that Kentucky doesn't

because Mark Soupes knows he's got a stack wins, not playing good teams. But like for the most, I mean, look at LSU plays USC and UCLA next year. What are they doing? A couple big 10 battles, dude. What are they doing?

A couple big 10 battles right there, bro. I mean, they've only two Cup kick games. They have Nicholas State and South Alabama. Nicholas. Nicholas. Nicholas. I'm the thing of like,

say, my brother with this Christmas time. You got to put some respect in that name. If you ain't gotten drunk and you got to understand. Nichol State's in Tibito, Louisiana.

That's what you probably went to Tibito. That's where the Manny Camp. I did go to TIPO. I got drunk in Tibito. Yeah, you probably got drunk at Rocks. It's one of the great all-time college bars. And it's so weird during Manny Camp

because you're in fucking Cajun country, Louisiana. You had this local college bar and you look over and there's like John Gruden and Andrew Luck. And everybody's like hanging out and drinking a beer. It's wild. Here is where I think it gets fun too, Aaron. We'll talk individual schedules and win-loss.

But if you look at it per week, remember how we were kind of Papuan week one this last year, not a lot to look forward to. This week one, you'll get Miami at Florida, Georgia versus Clemson and Atlanta. You have Notre Dame at Texas A&M. That's a sweet one. have LSU and USC and Vegas in this beer on Sunday. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me, dude?

Like, what are we talking? That's week one. Our cup overfloweth. And so really, you can go ahead and just choose any week here. Kind of maybe actually week two looks a little light. Week two is a little soft, but week two is a week too. But week two is Texas, Michigan at least to kind of, you know, make you feel a little better. There you go.

But, I mean, we're right back at it at week three as, You know, in-conference games are kicking off. So it's a, it's impossible not to, and to me, it's a preview of what college football is going to become in the Uber conference era, right? We're going to see a lot more of this good on good, on good. You're going to see a lot more. And now, and now with the 12-team playoffs, teams can be more accepting of losses. And look, you know what pisses me off about Alabama fans that. thing they keep saying about like,

what if we had scheduled Troy instead of Texas, you'd have it in the playoff? Well, yeah, but you, but like that's such a dumb argument point because the whole idea is the risk versus reward in playing these big games. Like, yeah, if you lose them, it's going to hurt you, but if you win them, look at what it did for Texas.

It launched them over the top. And so if you're talking about the end of the year, we're going to be deciding between a bunch of nine and three teams, who's going to be in that 11 spot? I think it behooves you to schedule hard because now you'll get more credit for good losses and for big time wins than you will have in the past. So I think you'll be rewarded more for scheduling hard la Texas this season. And I also think you can take more losses and still make the playoffs.

And so hopefully we see schedules go more and more this way. When you look at this, actually, I want to hold that thought for a quick second because I do want to get to the chat with Super Chat from Gabriel, shouting out from Dallas, Texas, y'all guys are dope. What two teams out of Texas and OU will have the best results first time being in the SEC? Well, I think, first off, I think Texas is the better team heading in,

obviously with their quarterback returning. Oklahoma's going to have a freshman, but a new quarterback starting next season, a young quarterback. So there's going to be some ups and downs with him. And I do think Texas has the easier of the two schedules. Oh, it's not even close. Yeah, it's not even too.

Your first five games for Texas are Colorado State, Michigan, which is not even an SEC game, doesn't really matter. UTSA, UL Monroe, Mississippi State. It's like, at worst, Texas should be four and one. You know, basically, I know. Take, this is an SEC-based question, right? So like you said, take Michigan out of it. Yes, Texas gets Georgia, but listen to the other opponents.

It's about as, and it's, yeah, and it's in Austin. But it's about as friendly, like, if you just look at this conference, this is pretty much the friendliest draw you could have hoped for. So outside of Georgia, you get Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky, and at Texas A&M, you know, and A&M should be better in all these things. But like Florida's more down than ever,

Arkansas, Kentucky, in the verge of firing. All right. It is a new coach. And there's Oklahoma in there, but Oklahoma's always been there. So now compare that grouping to Oklahoma, who I don't know who they fucked, but somebody first fucking them back.

They have, obviously they have Texas, but like I said, that's always here. But now they have at Mizzou and Como, which is going to be brutal. They have to end playing host to Alabama, then going to Death Valley.

I mean, they get to go to Ole Miss. They got to go to Ole Miss. Yep. And even two free is your number two, they got to go to Jordan Hare. Yeah. Like that is a incredibly hard schedule

for Brent. Venables as he looks to replace Dylan Gabriel, as he looks to replace Jeff Levy, like Oklahoma getting no favors done to them here. No, no, no, no. So between, you know, I think a better football team in Texas, if yours comes back, you know, potential top 10 pick the NFL draft, Texas is way more in a better position. That's like success. I want to bring up real quick the Florida schedule because Florida, if anyone got bent over,

it was the Florida Gators. Miami, Texas A&M, and at Mississippi State. you know, UCF, Power 5 team at Tennessee, Kentucky, and then that last five game stretch, I mean, my goodness, Georgia at a neutral site, at Texas, LSU, Ole Miss, at Florida State. I mean, does the SEC want Billy Napier gone? Like, do they truly want his ass fired?

Because they did not, you know, they set him up for failure. It's hard for me to feel like. That is a Florida team that has a chance to even go. bowling. Aaron, that is five games in a row against teams that are currently ranked in the top 15. That's 33% of the top 15 football teams in America at the end of this season. You will have to finish with.

And there's not a fucking buy week. Like, am I crazy? Yeah, no, there's no buy week. It's November 2nd night. No, like in that stretch. Oh, no, no, the last five weeks before Georgia. And then after that, yes, that's what I'm saying.

There's not a biweek in that stretch. It's the second, the ninth, the 16, 23rd, 30th. We get five the best. And then as you alluded to, you're also going to Tennessee, who I think it's going to be pretty good next year. You got UCF, who, who did they just pick up or we were talking about

they might pick up? Quarterback wise. Did we not discuss that on the show? I do too much fucking college football takes. God, there was a good quarterback name that now I'm blanking on awful radio, Bob. Way to go. So, yeah, and then even starting with Miami, as you said, which we all know that Krista fraud, every game is a coin flip.

Like, literally, look at his career. He's like 73 and 71. But still, it ain't making things any easier. So good luck to Billy Napier. This really feels like prime to Gainesville in not too long. You know, it's a pretty easy step. Not easy. Like, none of these schedules are easy.

But if there's a team that does have a chance to go undefeated, it's Alabama. Like, Alabama is a very, very, very, way, way, way, way. Very friendly schedule. Hold on, hold on. You're telling me the Alabama Crimson Tide had something helpful happen for them from the SEC offices. Oh, we're going to go play Wisconsin. Oh, that's going to be a tough game. And then you had a buy week before Georgia at Vandy, South Carolina, you know, at Tennessee's,

maybe the hardest away game and I don't get LSU, Missouri, but then by week before LSU, Mercer at Oklahoma, Alberg. Like, once you're like,

none of this is like, oh my God, this is easy, but this is... But relative. But relative. I'm judging this all relative. Yes.

It's a fairly easy schedule. Yeah. I would say over under Vegas, 11? 10.5. 11? 10.5.

I think with Georgia being on there, at LSU I think it would be 10.5 over under 10.5 win total. Yeah, I would say over under 10.5. Georgia's... I know Oklahoma is a good team, but when I tell you,

I don't think Alabama gives a fuck about going to Norman at all. I don't think they're sweating that game at all. Like, I'm sweating Oklahoma at the end of the year. LSU is, I don't think, I think Georgia and Alabama are a cut above right now. $5.

You have from Turner Young. You guys want to make good content but treat your big fan like shit and talk about Eugene George and Tech. Jake Butt, Pickle and Cublic, talking to you in Bama, Texas. Look, well, today's SEC schedule, we're obviously going to heavy here.

It is sad that that seems to be one of the biggest storylines of schedule release day. Like, you know your seat is hot when they make this big deal.

You do the big TV show. You do the release and everybody's just like, oh, Billy Napier's a dead man walking. He may be waving the white flag by the end of the season. He may be just saying, you know, no mom. Dion, baby, bring on prom time. How about he's out here and he's trying to, you know, he's trying to close off what is a damn good recruiting class, right?

They're fifth in the country. They're awesome. And like every recruit, anytime they turn on the SEC network or listen to anything, they're just hearing about how their coach is fucked. what's what's two things one appreciate everyone jumping in live with us again today uh over children strong at the moment go hit that like go hit that subscribe right now take two seconds to do that and uh let's let's continue our march to 11k hopefully have that by the end of the

week but let's be realistic with florida right now like i think you have to at least make a bowl game to be in the conversation of keeping your job i don't even know if going six and six would keep his job, to be honest. Can Florida realistically even go six and six and six in your mind? I don't think so. No, they've all, like all their good players are leaving as well. Amil says, but wasn't Billy Napier supposed to be dead man walking this year? Not year too.

Many, no, like, think about it, because I tried to bring, like, Aaron, many others who are very in the know, Chris Doring, Florida guys, everybody told you he was pretty like that almost no matter what he was safe year two. And they just went five and seven and he's still safe.

So I think that pretty much proved everybody's point. So no, many of us felt like maybe he should have been Dead Man Walking, though, to be fair, two years is, you know, you're probably looking a little tepper-like if you're doing that. But year three,

that's supposed to be the big year forward. and I just don't see how Florida gets it done. No. Poor Billy. Poor Billy. Poor Florida. We have our guess coming on? Well, that's what I am.

Sorry, fill time, stretch. I'll fill time. All right. Let's pick another team real quick. Can I go, who needs a big year in the SEC and what is their schedule look like? I want to go to the Albany Tigers. year two with that new coaching staff, I would say somewhat favorable too.

You get Oklahoma at home. You do have to go every year when you have to do go to Georgia and Tuscaloosa is never an easy thing. But let's look at Auburn schedule. Alabama, A&M, California, New Mexico, Arkansas, Oklahoma. You have your first five games at home, chance to go four and one, if not five and no. Then you go on the road to Georgia and turn around at Missouri, Kentucky Vaynerbilt, I would say two and one for those games, maybe one and two.

And then Yowell Monroe, Texas A&M at home, and then Tuscaloosa, Tia, I kind of feel like when you look at Auburn's schedule and kind of what we anticipate with Hugh Freeze in year two being a six and six team, a team that was on the verge of beating Alabama in year one, you look at their schedule. I don't think it's anything crazy either for the Tigers to take at least a step four to seven and five, if not eight, four. season. Well, and they should be better anyway because their quarterback situation should be more figured out than what they were doing with Peyton Thorne. I guess it's true. Like, what's their answer yet? Do we have an answer yet? I don't think we have an answer yet.

I don't think they have any. I'm surprised. Billy did this last year. You know, Charles, I can not fathom that they would ride with Peyton Thorne at quarterback. Charles Clark asked in the chat. He did this last year, too, where he didn't take a guy initially, waited to after spring, then got Payne Thorne Thorn. And, you know, obviously he was a starter

and better than what you had in the room than Robbie, but obviously not the long-term answer. So I was thinking that he would try and get someone more in this first cycle. Dude, does it feel bad to be an SEC East team right now? Because who wasn't it, Chad? So many, Charles Clark says, let's talk Gamecox. Who do you say, South Carolina? And so I'm like, okay, let's look it up.

And, I mean, they still have Kentucky. But now they got Elshue. They got to play Ole Miss. They got to play Alabama. They're going to play Oklahoma. They're going to play Texas A&M. They still get Vandy. Now Mizzou's huge, though.

And then, of course, they have Clemson. So, like, all these SEC East teams that have kind of been trading wins back and forth and propping each other up. Like, Mark Stub's got paid because he's been in that SEC East. Like, I feel like a lot of the East, and obviously not Georgia, like I was joking about earlier. But I do feel, Aaron, like a lot of the East is in for a bit of a rude awakening. Yeah. Yeah, a lot of more. I mean, we talked about Kentucky.

Kentucky's benefited from the past decade from an east that's been kind of down. You're not very consistent, not to level the SEC West with depth. And they've kind of built some decent consistency. Well, that's all gone now. Who in the chat said, obviously, there's a lot of people saying, Auburn needs a quarterback next year. Malik Murphy, quarterback for Texas, backup quarterback just hit the portal. Like his skill set, I like his size.

I think he's pretty raw, though. I don't know if you put him in there next year and he turns that team to like an eight nine win team. Like I'm going to put a little bit more experienced. Is Murphy not going to play in the bowl game now? Does he get to stick around? What? You just got to leave? I think he's leaving because he's going to start taking some visits, I'm sure.

Fuck, that sucks. That's a weird thing about the calendar. He literally led this team to multiple wins this year. Like he is a core part of this Texas. I don't know if you can. I don't think you can. This is the problem when you talk about quarterbacks. I don't know if I would say Malik led them to those victories.

Well, he's been all over back in the day, but he arrived at LSU with Nick Sabin Sabin back in 2000. And if you're wondering why LSU had a 20 plus year golden era.

It is because this man right here, he was the X factor. What's the common denominator between Nick Save and Ed O's Ron and Les Miles all winning natties? The multi-time strength coach of the year. This is a man who you spend more time with. That's what people don't realize. You don't spend time with your position coaches. You don't spend time with your head coaches.

This motherfucker is. is the one who's in your ass every single day trying to get you right. And even though it hurts my soul in some ways, so my favorite coach you ever played for, I'm so happy for him. Mike Elko's now hired him to go to Texas A&M, coach. I saw you the grocery the other day. You look great.

How hungry are you to get back in the game, bro? I'm so fired up. I can't stand it. I don't know. I was tired of sitting on the sidelines, man. Just tired of just watching college football and not being a part of it. I'm so jacked. I mean, you know, I'm so jacked.

I can't stand it. I can't. I don't even have words. I can't put words. If you want to cuss out T. Bob to kind of get the juices flowing again, like he's a great. He's a great punching bag. He's a great archie bag. He just want to let those juices flow.

Yeah. Well, so I was talking to someone last night about this. It was Jacob. It was Jacob Hester. And when my feet hit the gram, I'm going on autopilot. I will go blackout and it's natural. It's as much a part of me as the color of my hair. I'll go black out and it will be on autopilot from day one.

Now, here's, sorry, Aaron, real quick, because here's the thing, I don't want, because, because, look, yes, coach does all the classes, trade coach thing, he's a madman, he's, he's loud, he's aggressive, but I've always described coach as a warrior monk, right? Like a warrior scholar. It's not just meathead, dumb, right? Until they puke, dumbness. No, no, like, there's an intelligence. There's a plan.

While you've been out of it for a couple of years, coach, have you stayed, like, researching, stayed ahead of the curve and stayed up with like the latest technology. Yes, I never got out of it. I took a month off. I hunted, drank a little bourbon, worked out. But then I got back into it. And that was part of my podcast. That was part of the purpose of my podcast.

I've recorded about 55 podcasts in the last year. All 55 of those really were for me. They were opportunities for me to talk to the people that I love and respect in this industry. I took notes to every one of them. I'm releasing. I have one that I think releases next week. I've seen like five times.

It's just packed full of information. I had login credentials to some of my colleagues that are, you know, coaching right now that I could get in the back door of their platforms and look at what they were doing on a daily basis. So, yeah, I never got out. I've worked diligently every day because I hoped that this day would come. And I was so confident I sat down with Coach Elko for about three hours on Monday and interviewed with him. And it was actually a PowerPoint that I started working on the month after I,

Wow. And so I used, I've probably spoke, I think, a total of 16 times in front of groups. And then I've consulted with, you know, SEC schools, ACC schools, Big 12 or Pact 12, whatever those schools were called then and what they were. I don't know. And so I have a PowerPoint that's got probably 100 slides on it. And so, you know, I would, depending, on what the scenario was, I would hide or unhide slides. So I took that's my PowerPoint, my presentation, my presentation that was Coach Elko, was something that I've been through 30, 40 times in the last two years. So I was comfortable, confident, well prepared for the interview. And, you know, it's typical me, man, just going there, be over-prepared and ready to go.

So, yeah, I'm fired up, man. The amount of times, prior preparation prevents poor performance is drilled into my head, the five piece. And that's why you've done so good. Yes, sir. I have a new question of all T. Getting back into the game, there's very few places with all the bells and whistles that Texanem has. They have everything you want facility-wise. Like, what shocked you?

What more is there left that you? personally would want, like how good truly are those facilities from your standpoint of like, what do you need to get those young men right? Yeah, so they're indoors 160 yards. So, T. Bob, just imagine me. Oh, no. Oh, no. So it's 160 yards long to indoor.

You could land a plane in there indoor. So, you know, I toured to facilities. There are some technological pieces that we're going to actually do little upgrade in some of the areas with technology that they currently don't have. So on the docket day one, Saturday, I'm sure we're going to have a staff meeting. Saturday the 30th is our first workday. I'm sure we're going to meet with Coach Yoko and go through the rules of engagement, our marching orders. I'm sure that will happen. And then I will meet with my staff. We're going to go through our everything that we've got planned for the next two weeks. And then the next thing

we're going to do is go through the wait room. We're going to, you know, reorganize the weight room, make sure it's fitting for us. And then we're going to crawl through every closet that I can find on campus for gear, making, you know, we got to inventory everything. And then before the day is over that day, we're going to start placing orders for everything that we need. That is different. You know, there's different philosophies and different needs for everyone. And then on Tuesday, we're going to start programming. Now, we've actually, I have a couple, a couple of people in place already. They haven't been hired, but we've been working on this since the first day I talked to Coach Ejoko. And so programming-wise, we're way ahead of the

curve. And we'll start programming on Sunday. We're going to knock all. of that out for an entire week. And then the following week, our staff will go through every aspect. Guys always call it Moffitt one-on-one, but it's our in-service training for our staff, our interns, and everyone so that when the players come that first day, we're ready to roll. So technology-wise, they have a lot. They have a doctor in the Health and Exercise Science Department, Dr. Brian Mann, who is one of the best there is in the industry in both Sandoval. So they've got a great department. We're fired up about it.

Coach, how about this? You know Texas A&M. You've seen them from afar. And Texas A&M is odd because they do have everything. They even have the players. The only they don't have and hasn't had are the wins. You resuscitated an LSU program. 20 years ago. What is the first step? If I'm an A&M and I'm Liz, like, what's the first step to get in Texas A&M where they want to be?

Yeah. Great question. Number one, I have to calculate an attitude that I want a team to have. I have to have that attitude first. I'm going to be the person that spends the first, you know, four to six weeks with them more than anyone. So I've got to have the attitude that I want the Texas A&M Aggies to have. And me and my staff have to do that every. day. So culture is number one. Developing a culture of hard work, toughness, work ethic, doing things, a spree decor, doing things as a team, making sure that everyone's pulling on the rope in the same direction before we get into the X's and O's. The weight room is an extension of the field, and before they're ready for the coaches, we've got to make sure that we lay down that framework. Aaron, you're muted. Coach, I want to ask just the difference.

Obviously, the players will be different from Ellisian, especially Louisiana kids, the Texas kids. Everyone's personality is different. But how have you seen or learned how to deal with kids that are making money now? Like, it's one thing to yell at T. Bob, making jack shit. Yeah, you can scream and yell and custom out of what.

I thought T. I thought T. Bob was on salary while I even see it. Hey, I got one handshake Yeah, with a $20 bill in it one time after a game. But it was one of my friends, it was one of my friends' dads. But it wasn't even a random. Coach, do you treat guys differently in today's game because of the portal, because of the NIL?

Like, is there a way to, you have to finesse a little bit more as a strength coach? Well, I mean, I disagree because that was like T. Bob said in the introduction. I mean, that's not who I am. I mean, everybody wants to win. You know, I've been to NFL practices. I know coaches that have coached in the NFL. There's a certain way that you talk to people and how you treat people. And the important thing is that you don't do things to people, you do things for people.

And it's a learning process. You know, society has changed. Our DNA hasn't evolved to the point where we don't listen, we don't see, we don't pay attention to what leaders say or do. I'm a leader and I'm a mentor. And people, they're not going to look at what's on the outside of me. They're going to look at what's on the inside of me and they're going to remember how I treated them. And, you know, T. Bob, he'll tell you the stories about me. breaking out

and Margaret that's your quotes and you know it's a learning process man and

honestly the strength that I develop it lasts a lifetime the barbells the dumbbells

the sprints that's the vehicle developing character and a winning attitude that comes from there's more

to it than yelling and screaming at people and and brow beating people, the key is that there's a learning process, there's a long-term mental and physical adaptation that carries over onto Saturday and the playing field.

And so I'm going to, you know, I mean, I'm going to, I'm not going to change who or how I am because, I mean, when I went to the 2003 National Championship Reunion, And there were guys, they'd come up and they would hug me. And then I would apologize. And they would all say, coach, I love you, man. I wouldn't be here if it were not for you. And they went on and on and on and on. And these, like, I'll tell a quick story.

Joseph had died. You know, Joseph trained for me for, you know, while he was a player. And then Joe must have spent his last or his first five years in the NFL training with us. And he came to me after four or five years. years in the NFL in late July or right before training camp is just coached. Do you think it would be okay if I took a couple of days off? My wife wants me to take her and the family on a vacation. I said, Joe, you're a professional. Yes, you can go on a vacation, Joe. And Joe and I laughed and talked about that. You know, it's an attitude. And we're going to create an atmosphere that those

players want to be a part of and it's part of a growth mindset and whether they're making $5,000 a month or $50,000 a month, I'm not going to treat them any different than I would have treated anybody a long time ago because it's about winning and it's about developing relationships and it's about teaching and putting people in position to be more successful from having been a part of our program. And so that's, you know, that's part of it. And look, I would say, coach, that to me, the ultimate kind of proof of that is that even during maybe some of like the less miles down years when LSU wasn't winning to

the talent level on Saturday. And even when they weren't having the number of recruiting class, I always say this, but like, why was LSU putting the most players out of anybody in the NFL? Right. The development of this man gives you. It's unparalleled. I fucking hate that you are going to be in college station now. In those colors, I'm very happy for you.

And what I hate more than anything, what I hate more than I have really enjoyed making fun of Texas A&M for being soft. And I can- Not anymore, too, Bob. Not anymore. If there's one thing that A&M will not be, We'll see where the wins and losses shake out. But this team ain't going to be soft. No, I can guarantee that.
