I am jealous because like T. Bob said, I'm freezing my ass off. I would have loved to sneak around a golf in this morning, but that's not happening in this weather. And then two, since I will be in Ban Rouge this week, if only I wasn't potty training Maddox on this weekend, I would love to go to my first LSU football game on Saturday. Damn it, Maddox. What are we doing?
Starting point is 00:03:05 What a waste, dude. I mean, look, I know what the book says. because I've read the book. I know what the book says because I've read the book. Both parents have to be there. It's like you can't have work or anything you need to go to. You need to have your kid naked 24-7 with like a toilet at hand ready to go. And I get it.
Starting point is 00:03:22 In 48 hours, you can do a lot of things. But you know what? You can't ever line up again. Being in Baton Rouge when CBS 230 is coming to town, everybody else is coming to town. Theo Vaughn, Drewski, Todd Graves. it's going to be a party in the Capitol City this weekend and it's starting with snaps tomorrow 5 to 7 p.m. And you're not calling the game on Saturday.
Starting point is 00:03:45 So that sucks, man. That's bad timing. You should, oh, wow, look at that. The CBS trucks are in front of Ralph Buces already. Yeah, you should postpone. You should reschedule a potty training. You go another weekend, dude. I need to see if Gary wants to come hang out with us tomorrow night or Brad.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Yes, please, please. I haven't seen Brad Nestler since a God, why is my hair so greasy and crazy looking today? I haven't seen Brad Nestler since a meal, a meal that we had, I believe, before the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl back in like 2008. Very random. That'd be cool to see him.
Starting point is 00:04:26 What up? Go ahead. Well, I was going to say, you know, I'm no longer a CBS employee, so we'll see if they respond or not, but we'll see if we can get them out. to walk on tomorrow see if i got any juice that'll be fun though uh what up and brad was that i said wait you'll show up brad for him brad will show up brad okay okay we can do that i get i can i can get him uh i can get him a nice bottle that somebody else gifts me uh moscona's got one of the
Starting point is 00:04:56 the afternoon guy here huge bourbon nerd and he has like a ton of bottles that he doesn't want so i was going to pick some up for him anyway maybe we can just re-gift one to nests act like I bought it for him, huh? Right? Getting his good graces. That's how it goes, boys. Shout out to you app. It's me all day and the best, Brian Burgess,
Starting point is 00:05:13 Kirby's Pfizer, Bob Ruthford, everybody else, A barge, everybody else hanging out here in the chat. Remember, go ahead and like it, share the stream. Subscribe the volume sports YouTube channel. And if you sign up for the Fandul's Sportsbook app, who ultimately we're trying to please Fandul here, right? With all this stuff, use the promo code snaps. It's a great place to get.
Starting point is 00:05:35 handle too. It's always super fun. And yeah, some to the pod. Some to the pod as well in radio and view it. All right. Look at that. Andy Jay says some good moonshine hookups in Boone, North Carolina. I believe that. Like, yeah, anywhere in the mountains, they're going to make some good shine. My wife's family's all West Virginia, Morgantown natives. And they make fantastic moonshine, dude. It's wonderful. Have you ever had moonshine here? I have had moonshine. And I would love some tonight to keep your boy warm and nice lubricated and entertaining during the game. So please. The first time I read moonshine, I was in high school. And it was this guy from Auburn who was in college already. And he might
Starting point is 00:06:22 have been a police officer at the time where he went on to B1. Remember he had a German shepherd that was an old police dog that we called the Dutchman because he only responded to Dutch commands because that's how he was trained. And I remember this guy would make his own moonshine first And I think we were playing like drinking games with it. And next thing you know, I wake up, shower running on me, no pants on, shirt on, and covered and just, you know, vomit. Not a not a great first experience with the shine there. But hey, what are you going to do? What are you going to do?
Starting point is 00:06:55 Right. That's what growing up is. You learn these sort of lessons and you learn how to avoid these sort of situations in the future. Do not drink moonshine from a pseudo-pub. policeman who has a German Shepherd called the Dutchmen that only responds to Dutch commands. It's just a basic rule in life. Okay? You know what else is a basic rule in life? Loving college football. And we love college football here on snaps. And because we're not going to be doing our normal top five games of the week tomorrow, you know what that means
Starting point is 00:07:25 right now? It's time for the top five games of the CFB weekend. And for the second week in row, we got a hell of a slate, mate. As I believe every game we're about to break down is a ranked on ranked battle. For the second we wrote at least five ranked and big battles. And yes, Andy Jay says it best. When the burning stops, it's time to put it down. Yes. Anytime the shine starts going, you're like, oh, this is smooth.
Starting point is 00:07:53 This is good. Yeah, that's when you may be getting yourself into a little bit of trouble. You know who may be in a little bit of trouble this weekend, Aaron Murray? the Mississippi State Bulldogs. And that's what we're starting. Number five on the list. Can Mike Leach slay the dragon of Alabama? And I'll start here, man.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Mike Leach giveth and Mike Leach taketh away, right? And right when you are ready to give yourself over to Leach, we told you all last week that Kentucky game was the exact kind of game that Leach goes on to lose and just kind of, you know, lives up to your low expectations. And you get upset about it. And you're kind of like, well, why were we ever believing in the first place? well that happened once again as well rogers couldn't do anything uh the bulldogs run the ball just 10 times for 22 yards well chris rodriguez carries it 30 times for 196 yards two touchdowns erin kentucky had the ball
Starting point is 00:08:51 40 minutes to states 20 and the only reason i bring this up is because i think bama zoh lines way better than kentuckies jameer gibbs is an absolute monster even better than christ roder you guess like if bama wants to and that's not even getting into bryce young bama should control this game no they should i think the biggest issue last week i saw mississippi state and the reason why it was so lopsided when it came to to time of possession is is the penalties i mean mississippi state man unforced penalties over and over again especially on the offense off inside the football you know full star holdings 13 penalties for 109 yards so both these teams are coming into this football game as two the most penalized teams last weekend, Mississippi State just alluded to their stats.
Starting point is 00:09:37 And we know Alabama was just a penalty machine versus Tennessee night last week. So both teams, obviously the goal is to play cleaner football, don't shoot yourselves in the foot. But the biggest issue that I see in this game is Mississippi State's offensive line. It was a problem versus LSU on the road. It was a problem on the road last week versus Kentucky, whether it was, you know, pressure on Rogers or once again, those guys committing full starts because they're trying to get a good jump against the defense, you're on the road again,
Starting point is 00:10:07 and now you're going against a better defense-aligned than those two defense-aligned. Alabama is, you know, with Will Anderson and company, is going to get after that ass. So I'm a little bit worried for Rogers. You know, the one good thing is that, you know, the ball does come out quickly, but the one area that you can essentially take advantage of Alabama
Starting point is 00:10:26 is the deep ball. So, you know, we've seen this year, right? That's what I'm saying. Like, they don't throw the deep ball. So that's the problem. Like what Alabama's not as good at, you know, versus Texas, last week versus Tennessee, is being able to stop those balls, the go balls, the wheel routes, the post, the big daggers. But as a quarterback, you need time to throw that.
Starting point is 00:10:47 And right now, Will Rogers is in the offense line has proven that he's not going to have adequate time to get two, three hitches into his drop to be able to hit those deep balls down. the field so this is just a really really bad matchup for mississippi state they're only averaging i'll go back to the completion 7.2 yards per completion um which is not a lot and especially in this league where you're seeing teams throw 10 11 12 yards per completion so uh it's going to be a little bit of a struggle they do got talent on offense i like rrah thomas and company but uh will rogers r i p you may get broken in half this game yeah and uh you know what we love to see here on snaps low touchdown Will Rogers games. Okay, one touchdown last week. Let's keep it to one or zero this week. We are going to preserve Aaron Murray's SEC touchdown record if it is the last thing that we do. I will
Starting point is 00:11:40 hire a hitman. Who is the old ice skater? Tanya Harding, I will hire someone to Tanya Harding, Will Rogers, if he gets too close. So let this be a warning, Will. For legal reasons, I am only kidding. None of what I just said was serious. It was all satirical. Yeah, look, I'm with here. I don't want to spend too much more time on this game because I don't, I don't think it's going to be much of a game. And it's not because I think Alabama's elite. It's exactly what you said.
Starting point is 00:12:08 It's just not a great matchup for Mississippi State. I guess we can talk about tomorrow too, but I just think. An angry, it's a lot of points. What is it, 21 right now? Yeah, 21 points. Okay. You thought they would have been angry versus A&M, though. I mean, you would think like after,
Starting point is 00:12:27 after losing the A&M last year, after all the back and forth between the coaches, you would have thought that we would have seen a pissed off Alabama at home versus, I would say, worst Texas A&M football team, and Texas A&M almost won the football game. And I don't think A&M is that good at the offense line either, though. I agree. In Mississippi State, but not great.
Starting point is 00:12:49 If this game were in Mississippi State, I think I'd be choosing the Bulldogs to cover that number. I don't think I'm going to choose them to cover in Alabama simply because I don't see Will Rogers in that offense having a ton of success. And I expect Alabama to lean on Tamir Gibbs. And then you got Bryce Young. And that's the thing, dude, if you can't like, like, how do you feel? And you probably studied their DBs more. Like, how do you feel about Mississippi State's defensive backfield?
Starting point is 00:13:21 Because even if you're equal with Bama's weapons, I don't love your matchup. because Bryce Young can make you wrong and make himself right. Like if you're a straight up better secondary or you got an elite defensive line that can get after Young, kind of like Texas did, okay, then I'm starting to buy in a little bit. But if you're even to lessen at those positions and you got Bryce Young at quarterback, I mean, what the hell is what he's supposed to do, dude? So even though Leach has the ability to punch up,
Starting point is 00:13:50 I'm going Alabama to cover it. I just say, I think Mississippi's It's a far superior team than A&M. I think we continue to get, and we're going to continue to get tricked by the name of Alabama. That's the problem right now. You look at the brand Alabama and Nick Sabin and Bryce Young, you think, okay, they're going to dominate. But they're not that team this year. I think we need to get over that.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Like strip away the Alabama and the A and just look at what they've done this year. Should have lost of Texas. Had some really bad moments and sloppy moments versus Arkansas, extremely sloppy versus A&M, almost lost that game. And then just lost to Tennessee last weekend was extremely undisciplined. Like all their top games against legitimate opponents, they have not looked good. No, that's true.
Starting point is 00:14:44 And I know A&M didn't have Bryce Young, but like they have not looked good against. Well, they looked good against Tennessee, though. They looked good against Tennessee. Not the defense. Not on defense. But yeah, but I don't know, exactly. But I don't think states all.
Starting point is 00:14:56 offense could take it. Tennessee is one of the worst defenses, though. But Tennessee is one of the worst defenses in the SEC. So take that into it. I'm just saying like, just strip the A way and look at purely what is the film? This is not a team people who are as intimidated about as years past. And they shouldn't be either. They're a good team.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Don't get me wrong. They're a good team. They'll be fair to win every game. And I would not doubt if they win every game. But 21 points is a lot of points when you're not playing great football this year. Yeah, it's You're not wrong I'm saying away from it
Starting point is 00:15:31 You're not wrong And I'm saying to be clear I'm staying away from it To be clear I'm staying away from it as well But I do think the larger More interesting conversation there Is what you were just talking about Because just before the show
Starting point is 00:15:41 I actually saw a clip from David Pollock Basically saying the same thing Where he was just like look I mean if this wasn't Alabama And you're just like the film I don't think they'd be ranked six I don't think we'd be particularly impressed with them So so then
Starting point is 00:15:54 Then this you know what? This game then will be a referendum on whether or not I still believe in that brand or can I finally make peace of the fact that maybe they're not that good. And then I can start to get my hopes up about LSU maybe beating them. Yes, dude. What's funny here last Alabama comments coming in, Brandon Pratt says Will Anderson got kidnapped by one of Mike Leach, Pirates, Sam Squatches, and Kirby Visor said Will Anderson on a milk carton these days.
Starting point is 00:16:23 This is what's funny about how frustrating it's got to be to be sometimes a great player, big time player. Will Anderson right now is second in the SEC in SACS. And everybody feels like he's had an awful year. And I get it. But I mean, the man is still second in the entire conference in Sacks. He is first in TFL's with 10 and a half and five sacks. And yet he sucks just because he's not doing the like exorbitant overwhelming things that he did last year. Let's be painfully clear.
Starting point is 00:16:53 Will Anderson does not suck. He's just not getting almost like two sacks a game seemingly. But he could have a big one this weekend. Those Mississippi State tackles are nothing to write home about. All right. That is probably enough Alabama Mississippi State talk. You know what talk I can't get enough of, Aaron? Turtle Box talk.
Starting point is 00:17:14 That's right. Teabobob, aka Turtle Bob. Teabobbob, what's the turtle box? It's a bad ass Bluetooth speech. outdoor Bluetooth speaker. I wish I had mine in my office right now. The only reason I don't is because I've been rolling around within the neighborhood when I tow my kids behind my bike and this little car thing. I put like the speaker back there. We're watching like Stranger Things music. We're rocking fall themes, princess themes, just cruising around the hood. I took it out tailgating when I was people probably very confused. I was blasting the Sing 2 soundtrack from my double wide stroller as I was walking around LSU campus. Like I had. I have taken this thing everywhere. It's 100% waterproof. Aaron, the turtle box is incredible.
Starting point is 00:18:00 So it's, I believe the website is turtlebox audio. Dot org. Sorry, I'm getting it right here. And you want to use the promo code snaps and you get $20 off your order as well as free shipping. That's the promo code snaps turtlebox audio.com. Guys, if you want a badass speaker, I really, I am, I know it's, I literally paid. I know I know I'm like I know I'm paid to say this.
Starting point is 00:18:27 I know I'm paid to say this. So it's like hard to trust me. But this is a quality ass product. Like I it's it is a little pricey. But the battery lasts forever. It stands at test time. It's waterproof. It's perfect for outdoors.
Starting point is 00:18:41 Again, promo code snaps turtle box audio. So Aaron, you've been listening to yours as well then. Yes. Can we bring can you bring your turtle box to our live show tomorrow? for the fans? Yes, that is a good idea. Please remind me. Otherwise, I'll forget.
Starting point is 00:18:57 But yes, we can show it off. Turtle Bob showing off his turtle box. It sounds like vaguely sexual, even though it's not. Daniel Basham, next team will be promoting Raid Shadow Legends. No, no, no. You only get the Raid Shadow Legends deal when you know you've made it. We've got to get a few more live concurrence here on YouTube if we're going to get the Raid Shadow Legends deal.
Starting point is 00:19:22 One deal we could get is a little big 12 deal because, you know, I'm very high on the big 12 here. And I love this matchup right here to Kansas State versus TCU. And I haven't thought much about Kansas State as of late. What are you seeing out of the Wildcats here that's making you kind of like them in this match? But three and a half points spread, TCU right now favored by three and a half. Well, let's just go back to last week. TCU with an emotional win. And we'll talk about the other team here in a couple games.
Starting point is 00:20:00 But that's a tough win. Down 14 points in the fourth quarter. You come back, you win, you go to double overtime. Like, that's draining. And you know what Kansas State was doing? They're sitting on their ass just chilling, relaxing, recovering, getting ready to go, game planning, watching that game and taking it all in. What are the strengths?
Starting point is 00:20:18 What are the weaknesses of TCU? How are we going to expose them? You know how they're going to expose them? they're going to run the damn ball. TCU giving up 170 yards rushing per game in conference play. Kansas State is averaging over 240 yards a game on the ground with Martinez and Vaughn. So I just love that matchup. I thought we saw some issues there with TCU going against Oklahoma State.
Starting point is 00:20:41 And right now the way Adrian Martinez is playing, he's a new damn man. He is a brand new quarterback, confidence, excitement. I love Vaughn at the running back position. I think them calming off a buy week is going to make this game interesting. It's a three and a half point spread. I think TCU finds a way to win, but I kind of like the hook. So if I'm someone right now that's listening and wants to get on Fandle before this thing goes down, I would get it while you still got that extra half point.
Starting point is 00:21:09 I think it's a three point game either way. I think these are two really, really good football teams. Gordersen Goki Nikovsky says in the chat, Clemson Money Line, TCU money line, Oklahoma State plus six and a half as a parlay. Wouldn't it be? Is it? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Yeah. It is Oklahoma State plus six and a half. All right. I don't, I don't, well, hmm, I don't love the Oklahoma State pick there,
Starting point is 00:21:35 but we'll get to that gokey here in a little bit. I agree with Andy J. What is it with K. State? Why do they always have some sort of short, super fast running back? Like, ever since Darren Sproles, they just go out of their way to try to find someone.
Starting point is 00:21:48 who is generally sprouls in. He is little. I know, so tiny. It's so cute watching. We talked to, we talked to Roy Williams about that after the Oklahoma game. And he's like,
Starting point is 00:22:00 man, you just, you, you, and I know, obviously it makes sense, but you literally can't see him. He's like,
Starting point is 00:22:04 as a safety, you cannot see those dudes. I mean, they are literally like, you're like, where is he? And boom, all of some pops out of nowhere.
Starting point is 00:22:12 And he's just like off to the races. It's like, it's literally, it's like, it is. about hobbits right they talk about how they have like kind of a magical ability to disappear and it's not that they're actually doing magic they're just great at kind of blended in get a little hidey holes popping out yeah that's there are those are those hobbits were those hobbits on our show yes on rings of power yes the harfoots are um yes they are they are one of the ancient kind of hobbit strands and eventually i think will settle uh in the shire i'm not sure if that's exactly where the harfoot's uh settle but yes those are those are hobbits okay uh all right here we go um I want to approach this from the TCU standpoint because I want to really kind of double down on something that I brought up last week, which is I'm excited to continue to see the rise of Max Duggan. Like as we said last week, that was your opportunity going against Oklahoma State in a huge rank-to-rank matchup.
Starting point is 00:23:06 If you won that game, you would leap TCU into the top 10. You would leap into the Heisman conversation. And that's something where both you and the team are not very used to being. And so now the question's become against all odds, looking like you were dead in the water, you managed to pass that test. Can you stay there? Or will you get found out to be a pretender? Because it's way different, Aaron, when you are the team playing chase, right, versus when you are the team that everybody is chasing. When you're the lead dog, which TCU is right now in that conference, and it's a very good conference, the second best in the country this year.
Starting point is 00:23:45 I put the Big 12 ahead of the Big Ten even arguably. maybe not in terms of the strongest teams, but in terms of top to bottom, top to bottom strength. Yeah. Top to bottom strength. I will go back. They may be number one.
Starting point is 00:23:55 They may be one. You want to talk about top of the bottom strength. They may be one. But like best conference, like no. Not in the sense of obviously. By like Big Ten, I would say the Ohio State Michigan puts them over the top. But top the bottom competitiveness,
Starting point is 00:24:10 if we're talking about the competitiveness of any team could be any team in any given weekend. I agree with you there. Well, and I mean, I think they'll do well, from bowl season. We'll see. Maybe I'll get played here, but I think they're going to be good. So now that you are in the cat bird seat and you're the one being hunted, can you handle that pressure? And the thing is, there hasn't been, this is very, like Tennessee ended up kind of overshadowing the horn frogs last year, but there hasn't been a lot of this in TCU's history.
Starting point is 00:24:43 I know people think about it as a good football program, but it's just that they're good. They've never been great. You've got to go back to 2010 to find the last great TCU team. And it was one. That was Mountain West. It was Andy Dalton. They went undefeated 13 and no. They beat a ranked Oregon State to start the year. They beat number six Utah on the road. They beat number four, Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. And they finished number three in the country. But the last time previous to that, they had a great team. You got to go back to 1938 when they went undefeated. And yet here they sit, six and no, winnable games on the schedule. schedule, very tough games, but winnable games, and maybe one of the guys that will end up in New York,
Starting point is 00:25:23 under center. So for me, it would be hugely disappointing if Doug N and TCU after somehow pulling it out against Oklahoma State would be tripped up this week against his Kansas State team. What? I will rear. I think they win the football game. I just like the spread on the game. I just think it's going to be a competitive lower scoring game because of the way that Kansas State wants to run the football.
Starting point is 00:25:54 I think they're going to milk the crap out of the clock. Like I said, you look at TCU and how they struggled last week on both sides of the football. Probably should have lost that football game. I love the way they fought, the way they're able to come back and win it. Kudos to them on that. That's awesome stuff, especially a team like Oklahoma State to get that done. But you, after that physical game to now go against. the most physical, I would say one of the more physical offenses in this conference with a
Starting point is 00:26:20 quarterback that is going to run it right down your throat. Can that defense handle that for four weeks after going four quarters plus two OTs in the win last week for Oklahoma State? I just wonder legwise are they ready to go? Because they don't think they have they had their they have had their by week. So they've had their by week, but still come off that last week. You know they're going to be a little bit tired. Yeah, and this is probably Well, and so this is probably going to be one of those games Or Max Duggan and that offense are just going to have to
Starting point is 00:26:51 Look, man, like we said, you want to end up in New York Dugs? This is the way that you do it. And I love, I love, nice call, I love Max Duggan As far as quarterback names goes. It sounds like if you're writing a movie script, it's what you would name your star quarterback. Dart James says Harfutts are straight up evil and I can prove it to anyone in this chat that likes that horrendous abomination of a show.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Okay, first off, I can understand the heartfoot being evil thing. We don't need to get into it. Secondly, though, rings of power is not horrendous. It's freaking awesome, James. So good. Yeah, it's phenomenal. It's phenomenal. House of dragons.
Starting point is 00:27:29 House of dragons. Yeah. Or rings of power. My wife asked me this other day. So I'm going to propose this to you. What do you choose it? I got to go with a classic fence sitting preface here. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:42 they are two wildly different types of fantasy, right? Like I keep saying, one's kind of historical fiction. Yes, but one's like historical fiction, political intrigue fantasy, and one's like a high mythological fantasy that said, if I'm being honest with myself, I think for me personally it's been House of Dragon. I love how Rings of Power finished. I really do think it's a fantastic show.
Starting point is 00:28:12 In fact, I'm kind of rewatching. right now being rewarded even more for that and realizing some things are even better than I originally gave it credit for, but I'd be lying if I said, didn't say that House the Dragon didn't have me hanging on essentially every single word yet, so far this year. So yeah, House the Dragon.
Starting point is 00:28:29 100% with you. It's not. Let's be honest. It's not close. No, see, I don't know, no, no, no. I will fight back against the not close. It didn't feel close at first. Rings of Power finished very strong. Excellent. Fourth quarter from me.
Starting point is 00:28:44 A lot. A lot. Yes. They were like, I don't know if they quite forced over time, but they, they, they, they rings of power with the backdoor cover. Yes. They were down. They were down to scores and covered six and a half.
Starting point is 00:28:55 Absolutely. Yes. Exactly. And I'm always proud of them for that. But yeah, for me to admit that means a lot because a lot, I'm obsessed with Lord of the Rings, y'all. It's like my favorite thing in the world. In fact, those are the miniatures that I'm painting right now are all Lord of the Rings
Starting point is 00:29:09 miniatures. Um, hmm. I agree, dude. They're awesome. And Andor's awesome, too. I can't wait for a new episode tonight. Even though I'm not going to watch until later because I'm watch Pelsen. What's up, y'all.
Starting point is 00:29:22 It's T-Bob here from Snaps, the college football show on the Volub Sports Network. And now is the perfect time to download FanDuel, America's number one sports book. Starting point is 00:29:59 No respect for the Orange Men? And I kind of love rolling with the Bruins plus six going to Eugene Oregon. But look, this is just the first pass. Okay. So a lot of more board studying. to get ready to do. What I love is with Fandual,
Starting point is 00:30:15 you can bet however you want. If you just want to do game props, you know a message spread, you want to do first half, first quarter, you want to do same game parlays, you want to do live betting with updated odds games

Starting point is 00:30:39 So hey, check it out. Let's make every moment more this season with Fandul. All right. So we talked TCU. The team that TCU had to pull it out against last week, Oklahoma State, no rest for the weary. The Cowboys
Starting point is 00:30:53 also, look, two big 12 games back to back here on the top five. The Cowboys also in a big matchup as they got the Texas Longhorns coming to town. And I don't think we've talked about it yet on this show, Aaron, but Texas did something very special last week.
Starting point is 00:31:09 And it's not that they were overly impressive, but what they did do, they won a one score game. And up to that point, they were two and seven in the Steve Sarkeesian era in one score games. In fact, I had an entire thing written out during that game about classic Texas. Here we go again, scurred it and up, blah, blah, blah, blah, but look, I kind of understand why it was so close, right? Ohio, Iowa State actually has the top defense right now in the Big 12. That was a classic look-head spot for Texas. I don't really care that they looked bad. I'm more care than they found a way to
Starting point is 00:31:44 win a close Big 12 game. And now I'm actually feeling pretty good about him coming into this weekend, dude. Oh, I think they smoke them. I think they smoke them. But the same exact reason why I said TCU may struggle a little bit in this game. You had to talk about Oklahoma State on the road last week. You feel like
Starting point is 00:32:00 you got it. You're about to be, you were the number one team in the Big 12 heading into that game versus TCU. Fourth quarter, you're like, man, we're about to really make a statement across the country that we are the premier team in this league. You give up 14 points. You're losing overtime.
Starting point is 00:32:15 Your quarterback Sanders look pretty bad there in the second half. I've said all year, I think Oklahoma State's a good team, not a great football team. Their defense struggles are the worst passing defense in that conference. I think Sanders is good and he's made and taking care of the football. I get that, but he's not great. It's just a good football team. And right now, Texas with yours is breathing new life. think you made an incredible statement there, T. Bob, about the way they found a way to win a game
Starting point is 00:32:45 against Iowa State last week. That was extremely impressive. But right now with him, Xavier Worley and Jordan Whittington, this is an offense that wants to push the ball vertically down the field, and I promise you, go watch the tape of every Oklahoma State game this year on the defense side of the football. They are trash on that side. I'm telling you trash, trash, trash. I am sipped in the U.S. Kool-Aid right now. So, I mean, but how weird, let's focus on Oklahoma State, Aaron, because have you ever seen, I've never seen this, I don't think. Have you ever seen one side of the ball drop off year to year as hard as Oklahoma State in 2021 versus Oklahoma State in 2022? You were talking about a defense last year that was the strength of the team.
Starting point is 00:33:30 Like, the offense sucked last year. It was really, it's a credit to Gundy, right, for just finding a way to maximize personnel. But like the defense was the reason why you made the Big 12 championship and why you were so close to winning the Big 12th championship. Last year, Oklahoma State was the number one scoring defense in the Big 12th. They only gave up 18 points a game. This year, they're sitting at 7th in the Big 12, giving up 32 a game. They were the number one total defense last year, holding opponents under 300 yards. This year, their eighth, they're giving up 437 yards a game.
Starting point is 00:34:05 and they didn't really lose, they didn't really lose the front seven. What they lost was the entire secondary. So, yeah, I've seen Quinn Ewers push the ball. What else I love about Ewers, this may sound dumb, Aaron, but I think he loves the big stage. Alabama and Oklahoma were by far the biggest stages that he played on, and he looked excellent in those games. Admittedly small sample sizes, but I think going to Oklahoma State, the anger and vitriol and kind of desperate that will be in that stadium, I think that's actually going to fuel
Starting point is 00:34:39 Quinn Ewers a bit. Also, Texas defense is actually good, right? Can we say that? Very good. I mean, they shut down Bama. They're second in the bit league right now, only giving up 18 points a game. Like, yeah, at some point, you've got to talk less about Quinn
Starting point is 00:34:55 and more about that Texas defense. So really, my only fear, my only fear, I've been listening to a lot of Vince Guaraldi lately, right, who does all the peanut soundtracks and everything. My only fear is am I, am I going to be kicking my ass on Saturday for once again trying to kick that football and support Texas? Because like, am I, are we Charlie Brown? Is Lucy just sitting there? No, no, come on, guys. It's everything. You just said.
Starting point is 00:35:23 The Oklahoma say defense is bad. Like, Quinn, you were as the Texas defense is doing me. Good. They'll definitely win and cover. Like, are we, are we Charlie Brown? I don't know. No. But, but I'm going to bet. I don't think so. You know what? I'm going to go kick that football again. it or try to. I don't think so because they have a quarterback. I mean, yours is going to be one of the first two quarterbacks taken, not this year's draft, but the following year's drafts between him and Drake May there at UNC. Both of them have one year left, which is kind of scary. The fact that they have a guy like that that can lead your team gives me confidence. Texas can win games. And you talk about last week's game versus Iowa State, and you talk about
Starting point is 00:35:58 Texas defense. Iowa State's the number one defense in that conference, only giving up 15 points per game. So it's not like they were going against some loosey-goosey defense like they're going to see this week. So I think they storm it up, man. I think they throw for a ton of yards. I love their skills. Sark as a play caller. I think there's a big statement win for them for Texas of,
Starting point is 00:36:22 hey, guys, we are here to win this conference and we're still alive because they are. They are still alive. And if they win this game this weekend and they win in a fashion where I think they can win, I think I said a week or two ago, I would honestly pick Texas to win the Big 12th. If they win this game in a fashion which is dominant throwing the football, playing good defense, and especially if they cover the spread, so they win by seven plus points, I think you start assuming that they have a chance to be the favorites in that conference. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Okay. I can't go there with you yet. I can't go there with you yet, but I am fully supporting you in Texas. covering this weekend. Quick question for the chat. Candy corn, yes or no? I am a huge candy corn fan. Brum, doing away in here as well.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Aaron, candy corn guy? I'm a huge candy corn guy. Yes. Okay. Okay, good. Then we got a bunch of good blue collar Americans on this show right now. All right. The number two game of the week, a little ACC action.
Starting point is 00:37:29 That's right. Every now and then, and Brum, I think you have Mike is still open, but every now and then, the ACC will shit out a game that is worth watching. And here is one right here, Syracuse and Clemson, Syracuse at Clemson. The only problem with this game, Aaron, it's not in the Loud House. Very disappointed. As instead, this will be in that fake-ass Death Valley they have over there in South Carolina. Fake-ass Death Valley, Dave, you're salty. I do wish the game was in Syracuse.
Starting point is 00:38:01 I love Syracuse Boy. I know you're a VFL for life. I'm a Q's boy for life. Go big orange. I love Syracuse. No, no. I love Syracuse. Look, I have written right here.
Starting point is 00:38:15 Bottom line. I love Syracuse. Oh, no shit. Okay. Let's ride, dude. Calm down over there. Orange boys. That me up, dude.
Starting point is 00:38:27 My dad literally grew. open Syracuse, went to East Syracuse Manoa High School. My brother was born in Syracuse. Yeah, I got Syracuse running through my veins, bro. Calm down over there. You fake ass. Okay, my bad. My bad. I didn't mean to steal any valor here. That's my bad.
Starting point is 00:38:44 All right. It's like you're trying to spin the dreidel over there or something. Hey, my stepdad is Jewish, okay? So I don't know. You tell me. Look, the bottom line right now. I love, see, I can't really be trusted to break down this game objectively because I love Syracuse and I just don't like Clemson.
Starting point is 00:39:05 Like Syracuse is hot. New York football's hot. Garrett Schrader, Sean Tucker, great defense. They're all giving up 13 points a game. Like they're so blue collar. Like when I think about who brings a lunch pail into work every day, Syracuse brings a lunch pail and a hard hat and they don't bitch. They don't moan. They just get down to work. And then you got Davo and Clemson. and their little freaking slide and all their lights and all that it's it's too much give me the loudhouse give me syracuse i hate clemson as a brand i love syracuse as a brand and you know what i don't know if they can keep up with clemson's horses but you know what they can do they can out tough clemson and i want to see them break dj uiunggile this week over their knee all right so one one quick comment to uh who was it someone said something about the carrier dome doesn't have a c
Starting point is 00:39:59 which is our ironic but it's not called the curio dome anymore it's actually j m a wireless dome but i did hear that they don't have Wi-Fi in there which is also ironic but now they got now they got a c how about that they do have they do have they finally they do have a C they finally lose the rename and they get AC it makes so sense dude it's unbelievable uh mr two X is this dude is delusional uh your name is mr two X meaning you probably engage in risky financial financial ventures. I think you're delusional. And I think if you like Clemson, guess what? Clemson sucks. And the bottom line is, I don't want Clemson rewarded with a playoff spot for playing in that garbage conference. It is the ACCC. It's not a power five. It's a power four,
Starting point is 00:40:44 except for Clems, except for Syracuse. You are just, you are just on one. All right. So let's get to you what needs to happen. One, Syracuse needs to keep playing on defense where they've been playing. I mean, they're the number one scoring defense. They're the number one in total yards given up in that conference so they're kicking ass my one big worry for for for our cues boys we're going to be we're to dub ourselves the cues boys this weekend because the trojans yes let us down last weekend um kees crew it's garrad straiter man the cues crew uh garrett strater worries me and he had two interceptions last week. He's been better this year, but he's just, he's just okay. And in Clemson right now,
Starting point is 00:41:25 they're healthier on defense. Breesie was back last week. That D-Line was back, and they look tremendous there versus Florida State on the road. You are going, I know it's a fake Tiger stadium, but that is a hostile-ass environment. So, you know, Sean Tucker's going to have to have a hell of a game. This is a low-scoring game, though. I don't know what the over-under is, but I think you have the two best defenses in the conference. You have two quarterbacks, DJ use playing better but you know I like the secondary for Syracuse and obviously clumson with it were their health on that side and at home is going to be big it's at 49 a half points right now I kind of take the under on this one I think this could be a low
Starting point is 00:42:04 scoring defense a game yeah big time defense a game so check out that under at 49 and a half on fan duel right now uh yeah no look at promo code snaps Fandil sports, we've got promo goes snaps. A lot of people are accusing me of being salty. I've never suffered at the hands of Clemson, right? Like as a fan, like I watched LSU just beat Clemson in a national championship. I have no personal issue with Clemson. I don't really care about the Death Valley Tiger Stadium.
Starting point is 00:42:36 I don't give a damn. The only thing that pisses me off is I feel like they sleepwalk through a bad conference every single year and get rewarded for it. They are an outlier. They're not having to battle week in and week out. And yeah. And so when I see an underdog Syracuse doing it in New York State, in the, in the, in the, you know, in the loudhouse, like I said, doing it with elite defense,
Starting point is 00:43:03 hard running of the ball with Sean Tucker. And hey, Garrett Trader, for whatever this is worth, a higher rated quarterback this year than DJ, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, Yungalai. I don't know exactly how the math there is done. He's one spot of. head of him. I agree with you. I'd be worried too coming into this game. But the point is, blue-collar Syracuse is just miles and miles more likable than Dabo loves the smell of his own Farts, Clemson. And so I can't be, I can't be object to about this game.
Starting point is 00:43:32 I'm taking Syracuse to cover because of this, right here. That thing that beats inside my chest, that puts blood all throughout my body, okay? The heart. That's what Syracuse has. Go baby. the orange boys cover this weekend was it 14 points i believe i'm saying away from that just because i i it's it's hard for me to trust syracuse because it's still syracuse and it is clompson and and and and so i'm going to stay away from the over or that but i am going to stick with that under at 49 and a half right now it's i think it's 13 love the under love that bet as i love the under so if i'm going to if i'm going to bet i'm going to go under that may be one of my last week actually right now.
Starting point is 00:44:15 Yeah, yeah, go ahead and send it off. Venmo me. A. Bart says, Q's just got the T-Bob curse. Okay, okay, boys, freaking relax. Okay. Have I cursed L.U. twice this year and bet them huge and the two guys, yes.
Starting point is 00:44:30 Did I maybe curse USC? I don't know they covered, but they did lose. So yes. But you know what? Fool me once, fool me twice. You ain't fooling me three times. Kuse rolls this weekend to a cover. hopefully to cover probably not but i hope so very badly um oh and Nebraska that's right okay i did
Starting point is 00:44:52 curse okay chill out a barge yeah i know you got the receipts relax uh i did kill nebraska as well but never forget everybody who goes on to play nebraska and beat nebraska ends up doing awfully the zombie hand of scott frost continues to uh to actually who who beat nebraska last week because they should be on upset alert this week whoever it was look it up all right right now we arrive at the number one game of the week erin murray and that is a little pack 12 action uh who per du by like peru it was peru who beat nebraska fade peru this week has a at wisconsin i don't know about that one fade peru hard it's all lined up you know i can i can smell it it's like a it's like something it's like it's like it's like i'm a fish and somebody's putting chicken liver in
Starting point is 00:45:44 the water and they want me to bite that hook uh-uh jim leonard and wisconsin gonna roll peru this weekend um all right number one game of the weekend pack 12 uh who i like much better than the acc and it's ucela versus organ once again aaron i got a lot of emotion in this game you betrayed me our first bonding moment on this show le petit russian boys we were supposed to be ride or die with Lincoln Rye Lee. And you bailed for Chip Kelly and the UCLA Bruins. You bailed for a team that can't even get 2,000 people in a stadium when it's ranked on rate games. Absolutely pathetic.
Starting point is 00:46:30 And so misery loves company. If my Trojan boys have to die, I want your UCLA Bruins to die this week. I want three, one-loss pack 12 teams. Wow. I just don't, my, my biggest worry for Oregon right now is who they've played. And you got your ass handed to you by Georgia. You play Eastern Washington. You play BYU, as we've seen right now, is not a very good team,
Starting point is 00:47:00 especially after they got throttled by Arkansas last week. Washington State, Stanford, and Arizona. Like, you've won some games. Good. You're 5'1. Awesome. But, like, who have you been? So I'm just a little bit worried that they've taken advantage of their schedule.
Starting point is 00:47:16 They're still a good football team. But, you know, Bo Nix, love him the death man, think he's talented. But Bo Nix and big games should scare the hell out of everyone. And I just keep reminding myself how dominant and how good UCLA look two weeks ago versus Utah. And then what Utah did to the USC this past weekend. And I think we all have to kind of tell ourselves like, man, this UCLA team is legit. They're physical on both lines of scrimmage, DTR. playing at an extremely high level.
Starting point is 00:47:45 Our Cabernet guy at running back is doing his damn thing. This is a really good football team. So I don't trust Oregon in big games. Plain simple. I do not trust Oregon in big time games. And UCLA has shown us that they can win games by being physical and they can win big time games against good teams in that conference. I'm going to roll with UCLA in this one.
Starting point is 00:48:06 And they're getting six points too, which is crazy. Yeah, wait. Okay. So right now, actually, on the Vandals, Sportsbook app here. and it's up to six and a half. So something shady is going on here because I'm with you. This is my first time actually seeing the spread. I just assumed that UCLA was favored by like three on the road.
Starting point is 00:48:27 So if that's where my head was at and now, maybe I take it back about wanting UCLA to you lose because I want to try to make some money this weekend. And I would definitely, I mean, I think if anything, I feel like it's going to be a close game. Like I don't see Oregon. Bo Nicks running away with this thing. It's on the road. So UCLA is going to get the added benefit of actually playing in front of people,
Starting point is 00:48:49 which gives you like a little more juice when you're out there on the field. So I guess as much as I hate it, I'm going to have to join you with the Bruins. Hopefully they don't lead us to ruins. Now let's let's screw my Bruins over just because you're, what are you talking? about dude i'm not jumping chip no don't you jump you're you are married to USC so don't try to come over no to the good brewing i like look look i like USC i still like USC okay they covered last week they finally gave me a two in one week again to break the slide on best bets okay uh and people
Starting point is 00:49:30 are saying that uh lincoln riley's teams light dog says can't control i can't compete the line of scrimmage USC's offensive line is awesome their defensive line sucks uh so you know half the time they can compete on the on the scrimmage so yeah no i Andy j says home fans will throw UCLA players off i guess there is that as well maybe they're so unused to playing with crowd noise and people in the stands they get all freaked down and wide-eyed by it uh who who who has a better chance of winning the pack 12 making the playoff do you think out of these two teams i think UCLA does like i just think they're the better team i think i think to me there's there's there's there's
Starting point is 00:50:10 I think they're both possibly very good. I've seen more from UCLA because of the teams that they've been. And I just don't know, once again, if Oregon is benefiting from their schedule, can Oregon take care of the football? But I like the Bruins. I like what they're doing. And both their schedules line up nicely. I mean, this is a tough game on the road for them.
Starting point is 00:50:33 And then UCLA doesn't really face another challenge until they play USC at the end of November. You know, they had Stanford, Arizona State, Arizona, and then at California. So if they win this football game, it's kind of smooth sailings to that game there in L.A. Yeah. Yeah. Unfortunately, we're not going to get the undefeated and undefeated matchup, but it still could be one that determines the fate of the PAC 12 and the playoff. T-PAT says, T-Bob swinging and swapping UCLA and USC, polyamorous L.A. fan uh that's right uh ever since i adopted the west coast uh like the rest of the west coast i've
Starting point is 00:51:11 adopted a loosening of morals and ethics i have uh foregone traditional marriage values and now i'm just into swinging and surfing bra and that's what we're getting ready to do this weekend let's go bruin's dude i'm with you aaron let's go roar bear up sick him i don't know what brun say um that's i guess i'm just doing a bailer thing because i'm getting the bears uh confused All right, hey, check it out. We love y'all. Okay, swing the big Blazer boys. You know what else they love?
Starting point is 00:51:40 Swinging and Slinging, the Rock, like Aaron did back in the day. And like I did in shotgun snaps. Make no mistake. Like I said, Baton Rouge is going to be popping off this weekend because people have hope. Like there's going to be a win,
Starting point is 00:52:31 so no mescal, but I will drink a lot of beer on Thursday night. with y'all um hey look huge thank you to everyone hanging down in the chat uh huge thank you for supporting the show like it subscribe to it check out the podcast rate and review it share with their friends especially sign up for the fan dual sports we've got promo code snaps and um yeah man we will is that tomorrow we will see y'all tomorrow hopefully uh either on youtube or in real life uh see you then for brand new snaps
