Here we got him live from Dürdenhares Stadium.
What are the best to ever do it.
Mr. Aaron Murray.
Look at him, dude.
He's got all the ESPN regalia behind him.
Aaron, what's up, dude?
Dude, not as good as you right now.
I know. That weather
delay kicked my butt. I mean, it felt like
everyone around the country tonight, there's some kind of weather
delay going on.
Yeah, A&M got stopped forever.
I mean, there's nothing worse than
when you're already called a game that somewhat
kind of is what it is.
And then you have to deal with like a two-hour
rather delay on top of it. But, Aaron, we're very
happy that you're here.
Where are you at? First off, we're about to dive into UJ. Oregon. I'm
in my office.
I have been drinking.
I watched Lord of the Rings last night,
and so I brought my wizard costume to work tonight.
How was it?
I have not had a chance.
I actually went on the town in Auburn last night.
My plan was to watch.
Did you get lost in Skybar?
I got lost in this place called 1617.
Okay.
I didn't realize.
I didn't realize how good Auburn was.
Alvarez was a good time.
I've gotten lost in the maze that is Skybar a couple of times in my life.
But okay, first off, I want to pick your brain, because I want to talk UJ.
Oregon in a minute here because fuck you, go dogs, trying to tell you, fuck the ducks.
But how did Auburn look tonight?
Because I got major questions about Brian Harsen and Cuppet.
No, I thought they looked good.
I thought they looked really good.
You look at Auburn defensively, I think one of the best defenses in the SEC this year.
I think they got a lot of talent on that, especially the front seven.
I think the back end's pretty darn good too.
You know, TJ looked good.
T.J. Finley, you know, had a couple interceptions.
Second one was, it was kind of tough.
It was a tough coverage.
Corner rolled back.
You didn't really see it.
I don't blame them for that.
Robbie asked for, though, running the football,
dude's a beast.
He showed me some stuff throwing it as well.
But when you got that defense, you got tank,
you got Jack West Hunter.
You bring in Robbie to run the ball as well.
I think there's a team, you know,
they look at their schedule, five straight home games.
They got a chance to make some noise.
To me, them and LSU's same vote.
I think they're going to win some games.
A lot of people did not expect them to win this year.
Okay.
Okay, dude, shout out Auburn.
Sounds like, is it the Auburn band bag there?
Do you hear that?
They're feeling it.
Yeah.
Yeah, I know, of course they are.
Where do they play?
Two bits, four bits, six bits a dollar.
Auburn's so lame, dude.
That's Florida, bro.
No, Auburn does it as well, dude.
They got there.
No, Florida does it also.
But the swamp, but the swamp is intimidate.
orbiting. Auburn does two bits as well, and they have their stupid little person leading, like they stand on top of the dugout.
They're like leading to whatever, dude, Jordan hair. We always wanted Jordan hair. I ain't worried about Jordan hair, dude.
Swamp, I got respect for. I got no respect for Jordan hair, dude. Let it be known. Aaron may respect it here on snaps. I do not. I want the record to show.
Speaking of respect, Aaron, Georgia.
We talked about the birth of a dragon tonight.
We have not talked Georgia, Oregon yet.
We've been waiting for you.
Give me your initial reactions.
How about our boy, Studson?
Studson.
Can we make some snap Stutson jerseys, please?
I think we need to make that happen.
Yes, absolutely.
With the high top fade in the gold chain.
Yeah, definitely with a high top fade in the gold chain.
We might need to bring.
Maybe you'll see if we can bring.
bring stuts it on for a guest appearance.
You know, let's, let's definitely get that, make that happen.
Oh, no.
Yes, now we're talking to.
I mean, he was, where's yeah, there he is.
There's the gold chain, man.
No, I, first reaction was, wow, you know, I knew they were going to be good.
I knew they're going to have some weapons on offense.
I didn't think they'd be that good week one.
I mean, there was not a single flaw when he watched that football game.
I mean, Stets is the majority of the game.
his only incompletions were the ones he had to throw the ball away because he had some pressure.
That was it.
The man was on time, in rhythm.
The one guy that I really was impressed with was Kenny McIntosh.
You look at Georgia last year and James Cook.
Like James Cook was that dude.
Like you moved James around.
He was able to catch, obviously run, but obviously match him up against linebackers.
I was like, who is going to be that James Cook this year?
And Kenny looked really darn impressive.
Nine catches, 17 yards.
You obviously, he's able to run the ball as well.
you know, I'm a big fan of Lad.
So, like, the positions that I was concerned about, you know,
for the past few years have been receivers.
And then heading into this year was, you know,
finding that James Cook type player,
I think all that was answered tonight.
And I was very confident, I said last week,
very confident the receiving position.
You know, when you got Lad, you got AD, you got Kearis.
And then you throw in obviously those tight ends.
Like, that's, I don't know how to defense covers that.
And, you know, the first drive to me was,
was some of the best play call I've ever seen.
They're mixing up formations.
They're mixing up tempo.
They're mixing up personnel groups.
You're 12 personnel, 11 personnel.
You're splitting out, you know, Kenny, you're splitting out Brock.
You're splitting out Darnell.
And, you know, defense has to figure all that stuff out.
You know, they're reacting.
And it's too much to react to because who do you try to stop?
Is it Brock?
Okay, well, then we'll just go to one of these receivers.
Or we'll go to Kenny or we'll go to Darnell and, you know, shoot,
Garrett, you know, Gilbert really didn't play a big role tonight.
I mean, that's a huge weapon, too, that is going to have a catch, dude.
I know.
So, like, how do you stop this offense?
I don't know.
I mean, we talk about some of the offenses across the country that have, you know, an elite quarterback,
an elite receiver or running back.
And, you know, it's like a three-headed monster.
But when I look at Georgia right now, it's like a five, six, seven-headed monster.
And, oh, you know, the defense did their thing.
I got to go back.
obviously I watched the Ohio State game.
I've yet to watch the Alabama game.
I'll watch that tomorrow and you know,
we see they did their thing.
The Alabama game.
What do you need to watch the Alabama game?
You need to watch Alabama beat up on Utah State.
What are you going to gain from watching that?
How do you not move?
How do you not move Georgia at least number two in next week's poll?
Absolutely.
No, no, no, no.
Yes.
100% Georgia.
Georgia should be number one.
I say,
bumped down.
I mean, let's just do this.
I don't care about how good.
I don't want judgment.
in my rankings. Pace it off for results. Nobody had a better week one win than Georgia.
You should, GGA should be one, Bama should be two, and Ohio State should be three.
I put Ford up there, though. I think Florida's win to me was, obviously, the winning 49.
Well, they jump in the rankings. They jump in the rankings, certainly, right? Like, they earned their way in.
They were weird doubting him. Absolutely, what a win by Anthony Richardson.
There's a program. I mean, we said he had to, we said last week, he had a half. We had a
have a Heisman-like moment if they were going to win this game.
He has now put himself into that conversation.
And then if they go out there and do that next week versus Kentucky,
who was a very shaky early on in that game this afternoon into tonight,
if they go 2-0 and they'd be Utah and Kentucky and he continues to play like that,
my man's going to be top three, top five, along with Stutson and the Heisman conversation
after week two.
So, okay, okay.
And it's funny that you say Stutton and Heismund
because 100%
Welcome to the Heisman conversation, Stetson Bennett.
Not just because the objective play was so good,
but like we we love storylines, right?
And granted, you know, anytime there's a blowout,
it gets really boring because you keep hammering these same kind of ideas.
And I was probably with everybody else about to lose my fucking mind.
If I heard one more time about how this was his first offseason as QB1,
but it is fascinating.
And it's such a.
Because even, Aaron, when I was at SEC Media Days,
there were Georgia beat riders coming on my show
trying to create quarterback controversy,
saying that there had been calls for other guys to play,
other guys to start.
And this was such a validation of Stenson Bennett
getting QB1 ranked the entire offseason.
I mean, if anyone ever says anything negative about Stetson going forward,
they can just take their Georgia,
card and go away. There's nothing more he can do. I mean, he won you a Natty or he helped lead you to a
natty. Oh, it was the defense. Oh, it was the defense. It was events. Okay, well, you know, he was the
MVP of both the Orange Bowl and the national championship. And what he did in the fourth quarter
quarter was incredible. And then now coming into a full off season, playing a game like that week one,
probably the best quarterback performance of the weekend against Oregon, uh, against a coordinator
who knows you and Dan Lannning, that that knows your strength, that knows,
your weaknesses and you made them look completely silly in his first you know his first head coaching
you know game so yeah if if to me there was about 10 to 15 percent of Georgia fans that were
still you know hey we want Carson we want Brock if that 10 to 50 percent doesn't shrink down
the 2 percent they they need to go away Carson played out of you I like no time to be a stud
yeah no that's fine he's going to be a stud but Stetson's the guy Stets is the guy right now and it's
obvious. And again, think about the Georgia tight end room, right? An overwhelming room. Darnell
Washington looks like an offensive tackle that can run. It's unbelievable. But when you look at the
stats at the end of the game, to your point, the leading receivers, a half back, the next two will
wide receivers, then you get to the tight ends. For all the hype about the tight ends,
Stets in the first half, Aaron, when it mattered, right? Second half does matter. First half,
18 to 21, 2.54, one touch under the air, one in the ground, but most important.
importantly, seven different receivers.
He was in complete control.
Aaron, I'll ask you a question that many are going to be asking
throughout the sports week this week.
Was this more about Georgia being that good,
or were we over-hyping Oregon?
I think we're over-hyping Oregon a little bit.
I think they were getting a little bit too much hype.
I think it's, you know, honestly, I think it's both.
I think right now we were thinking Oregon, and they still do, obviously, with Utah losing tonight.
And, you know, the Pact 12 is wide open.
So we don't know who's going to end up winning that conference.
But I think we might have overhyped them a little bit, but I also don't think we're giving Georgia enough credit.
And I think that was the issue because once again, I said this last week, everyone believes you can't be safe.
And everyone believes that no one can do what Alabama was done for the past 15 years.
and if anyone's able to do that,
everyone is setting up their program to be able to have that kind of success,
it's Kirby.
I mean, you look at the roster.
Look at the five stars that are flooded on that defense.
Like, oh, they lost six guys, the NFL draft in the first round.
And their defense can't be anywhere near as good as they were last year.
They've looked pretty damn impressive tonight.
I mean, with Jaylen, the freshman corners, you know, you got Keely, Chris Smith,
Tyke, Nolan.
then they're still who got five six first who got this second
who's the freshman they got he's the first or second pick where he climbed up and it was just
it was just like at that point i was like okay they transcended to alabama level
or anybody who was talking about what they lost what they lost yeah it doesn't matter like
it doesn't matter georgia is now where okay georgia is now where
if you sit there and talk about what they lost it's a fruitless exercise because they've
replaced it with more elite talent.
Yeah.
No, they're four and five stars behind them.
And you throw that in with the coaching, especially on that side of the football that you
know you got, let's not forget, they got Kirby and they got Mush Champ focused on
that defense.
You know, you talk about two of the best defensive minds in college football on that
side.
So you put in enough four and five star talent that they've accumulated over the past, you know,
three, four years.
Those guys are just hungry getting ready for their turn along with that great coaching.
So, yeah, Kirby, to me.
tonight. This was a bigger statement for Kirby than it, maybe anything else because this is now
him saying, I am at that level. You know, we, we break down the tiers of coaching and we always say,
you know, Nick is, you know, Nick Sabins won, you know, that next tier is Kirby and Davo and
Ryan Day and, you know, whoever, wherever, but Kirby's inching closer to getting to that.
And maybe he needs to win one more national championship before we put him in that. But I'm telling
He's closer than anyone else, and tonight was a huge step in that direction, saying,
I can win a national championship, I can turn around the next year and produce a team that
right now should be probably the number one team in the country.
Shout out to our boy, Tommy Montoya, go Lobos, right on, New Mexico.
Bob Miller says, Oregon's O line is probably the most experienced one that Georgia defense will face this season
until the postseason, and the dog deep played a lot of containing his dog's office.
The beginning of that, Oregon's O line is probably the most experienced.
I agree that.
Like, I don't think this is actually a commentary almost at all against Oregon.
Oregon will still maybe win the PAC 12.
They're still a very good college football team.
This was all about Georgia to me.
Like I said, this was the birth of a dragon.
They burned him out.
Oregon is, Oregon's good on the defensive line.
They're good on the interior defensive line.
Everybody's shitting on Bo Nix.
Bo Nix is going to look way better than he did today.
how many quarterbacks would look good against that defense that you saw.
And in that building,
because let's be clear,
the Georgia dome was intense today, dude.
Like it was literally the Georgia dome.
It was,
I mean,
you could feel the energy vibrating.
Yeah,
it's going to be like LSU tomorrow night versus Florida State.
It's going to be essentially a home game for them.
So,
yeah,
I mean,
I was getting pictures all day from buddies that are tailgating outside.
And,
you know,
It was 90% Georgia fans.
It was a continuation of a celebration of the national championship.
People are still feeling juicy, feeling excited, ready to keep the party going.
And this party ain't stopping any time soon.
Like, I wish I was in Athens, Georgia tonight.
Like, I enjoyed Auburn last night.
Athens tonight is, ooh.
Well, Athens is the best caught down.
I'm not to get in the truck and drive back to Atlanta soon.
And, you know, depending on how the juices are feeling, I might have to go out and
Yeah, maybe a little what, maybe like a little sand bar, a little like hogshead.
I'm trying to remember other Athens bars.
You know, you know your bars.
What can I say?
Dude, there's there's like 80 fucking up and like a two square mile radius.
Uh, I will say, yes, I agree.
It just, it kind of pains me listening to you talk like this because as an LSU fan, you know, there was that same carryover excitement.
Can we be that team again?
And now granted it was COVID and all this other stuff.
And we went out and lost to Mississippi State game one and KJ Costello through for 600 yards and like seven touchdowns.
Like you just had Georgia beat Oregon 49 to 3.
Like that is you could.
You could not imagine a like both teams were presented the same opportunity, both programs presented the same opportunity to prove, okay, we're going to build off this, Natty.
It does not matter how much we lost.
And it's like I told you in the run up to this game.
That's where the difference was.
Georgia replaced.
they don't rebuild. They were placed and they did and they beat the shit out of Oregon, dude.
It was impressive to watch, man.
It was one of the few times where a 49 to three game is interesting because of the just raw power of it all.
Aaron, what did you think?
We talked a little bit about it here.
I know you had to kind of watch it out the corner of your eye.
Thoughts on Ohio State Notre Dame.
A plucky, a blucky, bluckner, whatever, a plucky performance.
out of Notre Dame.
Yeah.
I mean, listen, to me, if I'm a
Notre Dame fan, I'm feeling pretty good after that
game. You know, it sucks to lose, but you're on
the road. 17 point
dogs, you know, Marcus,
you know, Coach Freeman's first opportunity
as a head coach. And to me,
I left watching that game.
You know, I watched a lot of it, you know, kind of
like you said, the corner of my eye. And then, you know, we had the
rain delay, so I watched the majority of that second half.
And those dudes will fight for him.
And you saw that as soon as he got announced.
So I'm feeling like, man, this program,
is in good hands right now.
Obviously not the game that Ohio State wanted.
They were expecting some big, sexy win.
I think a lot of us were expecting that.
But I think you have to remind yourself.
This is the Notre Dame team.
I think going back to the conversation of us,
George and Oregon and what was more surprising,
I think we doubted, or at least myself,
and a lot of people there doubted,
how good could this Notre Dame team really be?
New coach, you lose Kelly, you're on the road.
This is an elite offense for Ohio State,
and they show up the play, man.
give them credit. Notre Dame showed up the play, especially on the defensive side of the football.
You obviously didn't help that Smith and Jigbaugh was hobbled and out the majority of the game.
You're talking about the best playmaker, one of the best playmakers in all of college football.
So super impressed that CJ was able to essentially battle through that to have the performance that he had there in the third and fourth quarter.
Wait, wait, wait, can I'm sorry, Aaron.
I don't want to interrupt you, but I want to pick your quarterback brain here,
This is something that me and the vast,
vast majority has, like, no perspective on when you're an elite quarterback,
and you have an elite wide receiver, and you lose that guy.
Like, what kind of mental, emotional, like, what kind of morale hit is that?
Well, I can give you a great example.
My freshman year, I lost AJ Green for the first four games of the season.
You know, I'm thinking like, hey, man, I'm the freshman.
I get AJ Green, you know, him and who are the best two receivers.
You know, I got one of them.
I'm about to go off.
And all of a sudden he gets suspended for four games.
I'm like, well, that sucks.
There goes, there goes, you know, throwing seven touchdowns a game.
And, yeah, you find other ways to battle through.
Obviously, I didn't do as good a job because we started the season off one and three.
And he obviously found a way to win tonight versus Notre Dame.
And that's, you know, to me, he's still the favorite to win the Heisman,
to win a game like that, nation's watching, you know, that last touchdown in the scene route.
They brought an all-out blitz.
I thought that was absolutely tremendous by him, recognizing the defense,
retreating, being able to throw up his back foot, put Tamar under it,
let the receiver catch the ball to kind of separate it,
and get to 21 to 10.
So, you know, to me, once I'm encouraged by Notre Dame,
the fact that they were able to hang in a game like this.
But I'm also encouraged for Ohio State to know that, hey,
defensively, what was the big question for Ohio State?
Like, you know, defensively, they were just complete crap last year.
So defensively got better.
offense found a way to win it without your best receiver.
If I'm all right,
I feel like,
man,
this wasn't the 40 to 10 game we thought,
but we got a defense.
We won and we didn't have our best player or our second best player in the football team.
So I think both teams are walking away from this thing.
And like,
okay,
we got a chance.
And shoot,
the way the ACC looked this weekend and the way the Pack 12 look this weekend,
Notre Dame is still,
Notre Dame is still right in the mix.
to make the playoffs if they go 11 at 1.
Very, yes, yes. Absolutely, it's funny too, because we actually
arrived at the exact same conclusion on that game.
I felt kind of boring saying it earlier, so now I feel validated in the same way
that Stetson got validated at night and that, yeah, it's good for,
it's, I think it's solid for both teams.
Can I ask you about that Blitz when they made it 14 to 10?
Did you, because all night, Notre Dame had stayed too high, right?
They were forcing everything underneath them.
They were relying on the athleticism because they had.
have a legitimate defense. Like, regardless of what you want to think, like they have a good
defense, right? Did you think that Blitz was not missed time from a play call standpoint, but it felt
like the safety started it very deep? Or is that just the reality of the situation? Like,
I mean, they were kind of creeped too early because, because CJ Stroud saw him kind of creeping up
and immediately knew what he had. Well, you have to, you have to show it at some point. I mean,
you can't come from 12, 15 yards of death unless you're running like a 4-3 for goodness sake.
It's like you've got to start getting in there.
And then, you know, it's more the fault of that nickel corner because, you know,
you have to understand with cover zero, you have no inside support.
There's no inside help.
You want to funnel essentially everything outside.
You want to make it as hard of a throw for the quarterback as possible.
So you have to keep inside leverage.
So more, less issue on the blitzing safety is more piss poor performance by that nickel
giving up his inside leverage, allowing the receiver to cross his face.
and catch the touchdown and get it to, you know, get it to 21.
So, no, I think the call was fine.
You've got to be aggressive in that situation.
You know, the mindset, too, is, hey, if you're able to put pressure on CJ,
if you're able to knock it back, you make it a more difficult fuel goal, too.
You know, that's kind of the mindset that goes along with a defense coordinator calling it.
Yeah, yeah.
Essentially an all-out blitz cover zero blitz at that moment.
Well, and, I mean, and look, that's why that's why it's so great,
having Aaron on this, right?
I mean, you think about quarterback play at the level that Aaron played it at.
And there's literally a handful of people on the planet at any time that can do that.
So I really love hearing that about the nickel because that's not even something that I realized earlier.
Okay, let's talk.
And to TJ Stroud credit, the defensive end actually won his rush very cleanly.
And Stroud just saw it so early that he still got it out.
Like you said, back foot, put the air in it.
It was a perfect throw, perfect read.
And that's why C.J. Stroud is your highest one favorite.
Other games on the day, second biggest game today, we talk about a little bit about it here.
But Utah, Florida, of absolute battle in the swamp, dude.
But at the end of the day, bro, it was Anthony Richardson.
I mean, it was Anthony Richardson.
Oh, Tony, old Tony got it done to.
What do you think about what you got to see out of UGA, or excuse me, out of Utah, Florida?
it was a great game i mean it was the game that we thought you know it was hey if if i wanted
to watch one game this weekend which game would it be and it was going to be that utah versus for
the game and it did not obviously did not disappoint and anthony richardson did not disappoint either i mean
his ability to things aren't there to pull it and run you know this is one of the better
you know better running performances i've seen for florida a long time this looked like you know
this looked like you know florida back in was it like oh seven oh six to ten when tis
Bo was there.
Like just zone read dominant, you know, and then the running backs have an opportunity
to Johnson went off and ETA went off.
Like, you know, those guys all of a sudden now there's so much focus in the zone
read game on slowing down Anthony Richardson.
You saw those backs hitting the hole and no one was touching him until they got to the third
level.
So he's a playmaker.
He's a difference maker.
He is a guy right now with a victory like that at home has just been skyrocketed into
the,
the Heisman discussion as he should be.
But they're going to have to keep going.
To me, this is a huge win for that program.
A first win for a new coaching staff.
But you've got to turn around next week.
A top 10 win.
A top 10 win. For a very good Kentucky team, absolutely.
And being from the East here, and you might know more about the Kentucky
Florida series than I do.
I know that Florida won it for like 31 or 33 years in a row.
And now maybe Kentucky's either won a two in a row or two at the last three.
I think it was closer to 38.
I think it was like 38 to 40 years.
38?
What?
Holy shit, dude.
That's insane, dude.
Like you got a trip and fall into a win at some point.
But what are you in the same mode?
Like we talked about with Notre Dame and in Ohio State, like it's, it sucked for
Notre Dame to lose, but they, you know, it was a, they were on the road.
It was a tough game.
They looked good.
Yeah.
And it's something to build on.
Like, I still view Utah as at least.
football team like cam rising is a dude and that last place sucked but he's a baller and that defense
is good yeah coaching staff is great they got players you know that yeah to me i i still walked away from
this game saying utah is a legitimate chance to go 11-1 win the pack 12 and if they do that and their
one loss is by three points on the road against florida and in florida could possibly be an
eight nine win team then then they still deserve an opportunity to go to the playoffs so i i i still
still would not hang my head low if I'm a Utah fan.
No, no, absolutely.
Look, you think of 11 and 1.
Yeah, absolutely, right?
Yeah, they can't lose anymore.
Like, I didn't think that Oregon was overvalued because they were at 11, right?
I think that maybe Utah was a little overvalued at 7.
And obviously, Florida was drastically undervalued, mainly because of Anthony Richardson.
But also, like, I don't know, man.
I'm like you, though, Aaron, I came away in prison of Utah because I know how tough the swamp is.
It's humid as hell.
they're not used to that.
They held up great from that regard.
And I come away impressed because just watching the game,
like a lot of times Florida looked bigger, faster, and stronger.
Now, I don't know how much of that is Anthony Richards and kind of warping my perspective.
But like there were a lot of times in this game where I thought that Florida was about to run away with it.
Like even with Utah was winning the beginning, it felt like Florida was leaning on him.
And then every time you'd be like, oh, well, that's it.
Utah would come right back and they'd punch him in the mouth.
And then at the end of the game, I started to come around.
I'm like, you know what?
I've been wrong this whole time.
Utah's going to win it.
And that's when Anthony Richardson announced himself to the world.
And that's what he did, dude.
Like, it's funny.
We were joking earlier.
Like, we had that Cam Newton thing.
And, you know, it's very funny because it's kind of clickbaited, but everybody clicked on it.
Right.
The episode did well, people, people listen to it.
But in the episode, we're like, no, no, no, no.
There's no way.
There's no way that he's that good.
But this is go look at the beginning of Cam Newton's year that year.
and I don't want to be too much on him, but Cam Newton got better as the year went on.
He had a lot of early season battles where it was like overtime with Mississippi State.
I think there might have been like an overtime with a Kentucky or South Carolina mixed in there as well.
And he got better and better, better.
This was a huge, huge opening statement from Anthony Richardson.
Oh, it's it's mega.
And to me, just how watching him and in watching how, watching how.
smoothy is. I mean, he is, you know, for how big he is at what, you know, 6-4, 240, 250, whatever it is,
and you see the way he moves and the way he's able to, you know, quickly put his foot on the
ground, whether it's in the pocket or running, and it's so elusive. It's a good mixture of a lot of
great quarterbacks, a good mixture of obviously Cam and Tebow and you talk about VY, Vince Young
back at Texas and how smooth he was when he took off and ran. Like that's, you know, he is a mixture of
all that. And it's hard to really compare him. And, you know, let's not
go crazy here and crown him as like, you know,
hey,
he's going to leap forward to an undefeated season this year
and he's going to win the Heisman and he's going to have that,
you know,
once again,
2010 camp season.
Like,
let's,
let's pump the brakes,
but you had to start somewhere.
You had to start somewhere.
And his start was lucky for him,
the number 17 in the country in the swamp.
So you could not have asked in my,
but you could not have asked for a better stage for him to have this coming out
moment.
So I applaud him.
you know, as a Georgia guy, you know, obviously, you know, I'm, it's hard for me to root for Florida,
but I, I will applaud great, great performance.
Bro, we can, hey, Aaron, we can be united.
Yes.
No, dude, we can be united on that.
Screw Florida.
But it's like I said, I'm as an LSU fan.
I'm real, way more worried.
Yeah, real recognize real.
Absolutely.
And I'm way more worried about Florida than I was going into this game.
Um, I said Georgia Dome earlier.
Ian Lowe says it's Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
I'm sorry they like Atlanta more New Orleans.
Fuck Mercedes Benz.
We got, unless they're a sponsor volume, I apologize.
But we got the Caesar's Superdove in Norris.
You know what?
Screw.
Actually, you know what?
I'm sorry, Brum, uh, screw Caesars as well.
Cause it's all about Fanduel promo code snaps.
Hit up Fandul promo code snaps.
Forget about them all.
Okay.
Forget about Cesar's Mercedes Mercedes Benzadee.
Fan dual promo code snaps.
Call myself.
I apologize there.
Right.
We were going to get some deal with Mercedes.
You know, we need to edit that out because, you know, I'm about to have my second kid.
We got to get an upgrade with a new car soon.
So don't be screwed you out in a new car deal.
I'm a blue collar local radio man.
I drive a Toyota Sienna minivan, baby.
The murdered out mini.
Black exterior, black interior, black wheels.
That thing is fire.
You have not experienced joy until you have sliding doors in a full parking lot.
All right, Aaron.
Let's wrap up here with a little Arkansas.
Arkansas Cincinnati, a very confident win from Arkansas, I found.
And again, I don't know if I'm being wishy-washy here,
but I guess it's because we're only talking about the good games of the day.
But like, I came way impressed with Cincinnati.
They interplay so many NFL guys at that school.
You can't normally do that.
And yet it was a battle.
But in the end, Fayetteville, the past rush of Arkansas,
and KJ. Jeff's not being statistically overwhelming,
but like making the plays that he needed.
to win the game i mean i don't know you look at his stats he was 18 and 26 223 3 touchdowns
62 yard i mean i would say four touchdowns okay never mind you know 29 yards of
combined yard is a hell of a game for kj you know kj made big plays in big moments i'll give him
that like you know when it's when it's you know laying the game and it was third down and two or
it was third or fourth down whatever it was and you knew who was getting the ball like kj is going to run
the damn thing and he was able to get it and kind of you know continue that the clock
winding down like i thought he took you know the big question was can he perform without
trailing berks you know trailing was his go-to guy last year and to me it wasn't extremely
flashy in the passing game but it was an efficient game and and yeah i know Cincinnati lost
a lot on both sides of the football they lost what five guys the nfl draft on the defense aside
you know they lost oscarner all that good stuff but still for kj to take in my opinion that next step
as a passer and, you know, involved Knox, involved landers and Hasselwood and, you know, Thompson,
you know, start dishing it out more instead of just being able to only focus on one guy like it did last year,
he's taking the next step. You know, he's a beast running the football. He's another guy that,
I think if he plays like that going forward, you know, Arkansas is going to have some chances,
you know, in the next, you know, looking at their schedule right now, you know, obviously you beat Cincinnati.
You know, you get South Carolina at home. I think they can beat South Carolina. I think they're going to beat
Missouri State.
Texas A&M sucks.
They're going to be A&M 2.
They're going to be 4 and O before they face Alabama.
Oh, we didn't even get into the false king or the usurper of the turn
clover before we go.
We're getting.
Okay.
Do I mean,
okay.
Did I not tell,
did I not warn A&M fans that Hates Pied and the dude?
I try to tell them,
man.
And it still may be because of the lack of receivers.
But if you think Hain.
skiing is going to win you again throwing the football you are in trouble in trouble
texananan fans yeah and it feels that way dude and we're going to talk about plenty on snaps coming
up this week every single day on the volume sports uh youtube channel we're at 2 p m eastern 1 p.m central
every day um i'll see this no trailing burkes but that dude tray knox looks like trailing burke's
6 5 240 6x 7 7000 7 over are two tuds pretty damn good look aaron look aaron
Aaron, you have a two-hour drive home.
So everybody in the chat, let's give it up for Aaron Murray, dude.
Unreal, dude.

Shout out to Ryan Brumley, our wonderful producer back home as well.
And Ryan,
if you go ahead and line this up um i want to end with our boy from iowa being pissed
he's not sleeping you think he's sleeping because he's a little big and he's kind of asleep on his
chin but he's so upset with the iowa offense i believe here that um yes he's after they got their
second safety and he's so upset he's not even cheering the safety okay but this right here this man right
here this is the exact beautiful quirkiness of college football that we were talking about to start
the show as well as that unbelievably odd seven to three score line. Aaron, thank you so much.
