We're trying to hit 6K, y'all.
Let's go.
Josh out.
Teabobb, you ready to talk about the back-to-back champs chances to three peter?
or you want to keep crying.
Don't worry, Josh.
We're going to get to Georgia.
And I'll try to stay awake during that portion of the show.
Because I cannot wait to see the analytics and how many people
immediately shut the podcast off because you start talking about the single most
boring school in all of college football right now.
Aaron, what's up, man?
How are we feeling on this Monday?
Feeling good.
I wish we were looking forward to the same type of Saturday that we just witnessed a couple
days ago.
But another good slate of games we'll get to later.
the week and I can't wait to teach you a little bit about how to bark at individuals to bring the juice like we saw this past weekend.
Yeah, for those that maybe don't know what Aaron's referencing.
Pram, I can't believe we didn't have you bring this up.
It's on me.
I just thought we were past it, but really cringe video of, um, UGA fans hitting all fours and being held back by a friend barking at UAB fans.
Like it was to the point when I saw the video, I assumed it was.
was maybe from like South Carolina week or from a big SEC game last year and that I missed it.
And no, no, no, turns out they were barking at UAB fans.
At that point, it was just kind of there to enjoy the sites.
You know, like, hey, it's Sanford Stadium.
Like, I want to see what is this about.
Whatever.
We'll, we'll get there.
Before.
And thank you, Tyler, Tyler, congrats to being the worst team of the SEC team out.
Thank you very much.
It's a big win, golden boot, baby.
Before we get to Georgia, we got a lot today.
going to go favorite in the in the SEC West right now a grade on UGA through four games
realistic expectations for Colorado of the Oregon beat down is Ohio State stuff tough I want to
shout out the left behind bowl Washington State Oregon State great game from Saturday I was calling
it battle the bastards left behind ball I think it's actually a fun of your name shout out j casso that's
right I heard it first maybe a little pack 12 talk and then we got our snap top 10 a lot to get to
And maybe if we have time, ruminations on Taco Bell and inflation.
But first, let's start in the SEC West.
Bama gets the big win against Ole Miss this weekend.
Aaron really just dominating the second half of that game.
LSU coming off a dominant performance gets all they work, you know,
gets all they could handle from KJ Jefferson in Arkansas,
does escape with a three-point home win.
Aaron, when it comes to the West,
is it down to these two teams,
or do you still have a third in the mix?
I think A&M can still be in the mix.
And I'm very fascinated by the A&M game versus Alabama.
I think A&M, we talk about matchups.
Like, where are your strengths versus another team's weaknesses
and how does that play out on a football field?
And right now for Ole Miss,
their strength was obviously not at the line of scrimmage.
That's where Alabama's just bigger and stronger.
They dominate up front.
Really, you know, Ole Miss couldn't do much on offense.
You look at A&M, like what is A&M's biggest weakness right now?
Because the offense is pretty damn good.
And I know they struggled a little bit in the first half this weekend for Salaubber,
but overall that's a really good offense.
I think we both can agree on that.
It's their secondary.
They got a good front seven.
Front seven's pretty decent, but their secondary is atrocious.
Just go back and watch the Miami game and you can witness all that.
And where does Alabama struggle?
throwing the football throwing the football it's like that's a matchup where a and m has played
well against bama for two straight years beat them two years ago almost beat them last year the games
in aggie land and your weakness is also alabama's weakness so like then all of a sudden you look at you
know can that be an interesting game i think that could be an interesting game lsu to me
struggles with the secondary a little bit but no no i'm saying more than a little i would say more
a little but what's it like that's not alabama strength like it's not like this is an
an Alabama team that can throw all over the ballparks.
If I'm in the SEC West this year and I'm trying to compete with Alabama,
well, having a weak secondary is not going to kill me.
It's not going to kill me.
No, I agree.
So that's where,
it's interesting you say A&M.
Real quick on A&M.
I agree with Uts here.
I have the same question.
Aaron,
do you think Max Johnson should keep the job for Bimbo Fisher?
I also appreciate the dumb,
dumb, lazy humor of Bimbo.
Bo Fisher. That shit's funny.
Is there a quarterback concert at college station?
I wanted to ask as well.
And I think you were pretty shocked when I texted you this over the weekend.
Like there was, it wasn't like a legit, legit quarterback battle in fall camp.
Like Max Johnson, everything I heard was balling out.
And I'm a big fan of Max.
I was a big fan when he moved over to A&M.
Unfortunately, he got hurt last year and wasn't able to really demonstrate his,
is what he's capable of doing.
But he's, he's, as we saw this past weekend, one of the most reliable back
up quarterbacks in America, I would honestly put him in the top 10 quarterbacks in the
SEC right now.
Like that tells you something about where the SECs are when it comes to quarterback play,
but also tells you how good of a quarterback Max Johnson is.
So like I don't think go back to the question, there isn't a quarterback controversy.
If Wegman is healthy, he is the leader on that football team.
But I also think too from a coaching standpoint, if, if he's not 100%, I would kind of put him
on the bench for a little bit longer if you're not feeling comfortable with him going out
they're playing.
I mean,
that's the hell of a quarterback.
Okay,
so I keep hearing that Wigman's,
you know,
obviously a leader,
but then I also hear like you said
that it was a close competition.
And like on Saturday,
Wigman was bad.
The offense looked awful when he was in there.
One bad half the entire season.
And you're going to.
Yeah,
I know.
I'm not going to bench him,
but I'm saying you may have to think about a little bit.
Like if he struggles,
okay,
well,
I will say this then when he comes back.
If he struggles,
you're going to tell me you don't have a shorter leash.
It went to a big game.
Yeah.
getting done. No, I agree with that.
I will say there's a shorter lease, but if he's healthy, he's going to get the first crack.
I'll say this on Max as well, which is crazy.
I have never seen a backup quarterback in the SEC enter a game with a 33 to 7 touchdown to pick ratio sitting behind it.
That's his stats.
Like, I've never seen in the SEC a quarterback that am asked that many stats that good of stats,
only get bits, whatever.
Okay, you think A&M, I'm not putting A&M in this conversation.
Really?
Why?
I think it's too flawed.
I think the more realistic third team is, um, it's actually Ole Miss kind of for the
matchup standpoint that you say because old miss, oh, look, I think LSU open up as three point
favorites in Oxford this weekend.
That's a sketchy game where old miss matches up really well against LSU.
I think LSU to your point actually matches up pretty favorable with Bama, right?
Probably the best offensive line to handle that Bama defensive line in the entire conference.
So I'm almost seeing.
a little triangle of winds here,
a little rock paper scissors starting to develop Aaron,
which that would be awesome because I love chaos
and it's fantastic.
But I don't know.
I mean, look, to me,
if we're talking to Best to West,
at the end of the day, though,
while maybe today,
maybe I think it's still LSU in Alabama.
Yes.
And I'm giving a slight edge to LSU because of Jaden Daniels.
And I think,
I think A&M beats Bama.
I do.
I think that game is in two weeks,
two weeks.
A&M as Arkansas at home this weekend.
And then they got Alabama after that.
I think A&M would win that football game.
I think A&M is just as physical up front.
I think A&M is the better quarterback.
I think A&M has the better receivers.
And I give that slight edge to Alabama
when it comes to defense.
But I don't know if Alabama is going to be able to go
on the road into that environment
and score more than 20 points.
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
I, you, you make compelling argument.
No, no, no, no.
That's, that's, that's a good point.
I guess I'm just kind of digging in it.
The game will have to look like Ohio State versus,
versus Notre Dame this weekend, which I think it will.
Like that's good, I think that's going to be the type of ball game.
But then that type of ball game, as we've talked about before,
comes down to turnovers and which quarterback's more prone to turnovers who's
turned the ball over every single game.
Well, it's Jalen Mill Row.
Yeah.
Him on the road.
All right.
That's going to be the difference in these close games.
It's that that's the big issue, man, and he's not solved it.
But do you agree that LSU is the face slight favor of the way?
I'm not saying overwhelming.
I think LSU is the best offense in the SEC.
I think right now they're the best playmakers.
They have a quarterback that's playing lights out at the moment.
I think they have a really good offense line.
The running game is going in the right direction right now.
The big weakness, secondary.
The secondary has been a huge glaring issue.
And I was a little bit surprised, too, against Arkansas this weekend that you didn't see
more consistent pressure on KJ.
And part of that could be the fact that you're going against KJ Jefferson and you,
you know,
don't want to kind of get out of your rush lanes.
Maybe you don't get after him as aggressively.
But still,
I was disappointed with that front four,
which I was anticipating with Mason Smith back and moving Harold Perkins around a little
bit more as more of a rusher.
You would see more pressure on the quarterback and I just didn't see it.
Yeah, I think, yeah,
I mean,
I agree where I was wrong in predicting this game,
you know, because I thought LSU would win handily.
I didn't show nearly enough respect to KJ Jefferson.
He started to think over that game late.
He got in the flow.
He ran the RPO perfectly.
And Arkansas O-Ly was probably better.
But let's focus on Jada Daniels right now because he had a rough start for about a quarter and a half.
He was bad.
And last year, you would have seen Daniels flatline and remain bad the rest of the game.
This year, he ends with a 20 out of 29 stat line,
300 20 yards, four touchdowns, one pick, and LSU scores.
On their last thing, it was seven or eight possessions, including the final field goal,
where they waste five minutes and just control, you know, win the game.
And right now you look up, and this is so crazy because locally there's like constant
conversations about whether Jane Daniels is good.
It's mind-liminally dumb.
I don't, you give me a quizzical look.
I can't.
It can only be, it can only be explained by just the passionate insanity of college football
fans are so close to something that you have no perspective and just like maybe a tinge of racism.
But right now, Jaden Daniels, let's look at his SEC.
Louisiana.
Chill out.
No, chill out.
Okay, Georgia, glass houses.
Right now, Jaden Daniels, 324 yards per game.
That's first in the SEC.
12 touchdowns first in the SEC.
172% completion.
That's first.
Well, I was doing passing.
That's fourth in the SEC.
A hundred eighty nine quarterback rating.
That's first in the SEC.
It's 10.5 yards per attempt.
Remember, the big knock last year was kind of check down seven,
half,
no, 10 and a half yards per attempt.
He's also averaging 50 yards of game on the ground.
He's a back-to-back SEC offensive player of the week.
So if everything comes down to quarterback,
and the question is, who's the favorite in the West?
That's the guy that I'm,
and he's played a good sample size, right?
I mean, Florida State, Mississippi.
state and Arkansas now. So three or four good games. Like that's the guy that I'll bet on.
So that that's why I'm answering this LSU, not just because I may be tinged with a bit of homerism myself.
There's, there's two quarterbacks in this SEC this year because it's been a weak SEC when it comes to
quarterbacks. Like I just told you like, I think Max Johnson is a top 10 quarterback in this.
He needs a backup. Like that's that's telling you the quality of the starters and a little bit to
obviously how good we both believe Max Johnson is. But there's two quarterbacks that have,
played at a extremely high level.
And Jaden's one of them.
And I would say Spencer Rattler is the other one.
Like Spencer has been incredibly impressed on this entire season.
And it's kind of had to shoulder the entire burden without much to help him out at all.
But go back to the woes.
Like, yeah, he was just, he was late, man.
There's some throws where, you know, he worked on his deep ball accuracy this offseason.
I saw it in spring.
You saw it throughout the first few games of the season.
And he was just a step late where the receivers were having to stop, slow down.
DPs were catching up.
But then once he kind of just got the rhythm and timing, it was, obviously, we saw off to the races and this offense get, like when he's playing like that, which he has for 90% of the season.
There was a quarter of his Florida State and then the quarter of course, where he just was a little bit late with some of the throws.
When he's playing at a high level, which he's more than capable of doing and improving to us he has done that, I don't know how you stop this offense, especially with digs at running back and what he's being able to do.
So, okay, so feeling strong about UGA.
I still think LSU.
I think LSU is, the major glaring weaknesses
to the extreme of what we've seen from A&M and in Alabama at times are not there.
Like if you want to go position by position,
LSU is stronger position groups.
I think the majority of them if you want to compare the teams.
Yeah, I mean, look, the offensive line is so damn good.
It's the best, it's better than the O line group in 19 that won the Joe Moore award for LSU.
Like, it is, it is.
it is the most dominant LSU group I've ever seen since I've been doing this job.
J.B.
asked an important question.
Why do both ghosts have pirate beards?
I don't know about you, Aaron.
My mustache doesn't connect to my beard.
Like does yours at all?
Mine does not.
It's very sad.
I wish it did.
I'd probably have a food man.
Is it the definition of a pirate beer?
It's not not a pirate beard, right?
You think about the old Tampa Bay Buccaneer logo, one that you should be very familiar with.
What kind of mustache do they have?
You think about.
uh, Paxton Lynch back in the day.
I always got like vaguely pirate vibes from Pasxton Lynch and that's what he had going on as
well. Um, it's a good question.
Oh, J.B. I look. So you mentioned the best quarterback's the SEC. Statistically one guy who's
right there, but you didn't mention is Carson Beck. Um, let's talk Georgia, Aaron and let it
off your chest, buddy. Just let it off. No, no, no. Again, again, guys, look, I got to thank
Georgia because I'm someone, you know, my brain spends like a million miles an hour and sometimes
like I've been having trouble sleeping. Normally I do like an audio book or something.
Lately, I just turn on like a Georgia football podcast. And I mean, I'm talking within five minutes.
I am snoozing like a little, I'm just feeling good, dude, right? Because the same questions
are being asked over and over. Is Mike Bobo acts good? Is Carson Beck actually good? What's on
with this? What's on with that? What's wrong with the running back? There's injuries there.
Do we have a kicker? Blah, blah, la la la, because there's nothing.
actually exciting within the game to talk about.
So how would you grade Georgia through four games thus far?
I would give Georgia a nice, solid B right now.
Just a B.
What's so funny about that?
That's the most grade you could possibly get.
I know, but it is boring.
It's boring.
Oh, my God.
Yeah.
I mean, would have we done a Georgia game breakdown yet this season?
He said, no, because why would we?
I haven't watched, besides the game I covered versus UT Martin to start the season off,
I haven't watched a Georgia game live.
I watched part of the South Carolina live, but then I got it ugly and kind of moved on.
But like I go back and rewatch it on my iPad and just watch the, you know, the coaches copy
because I'm like, I'm not going to waste three and a half hours of Georgia football when you
kind of know what the outcome's going to be.
Like I'll just wait to breeze through it in 45 minutes and not three and a half hours of agony.
True.
Just, uh, it's unfortunate. It sucks. Like, I mean, yes, like as a fan, it is boring. And I, and I, it drives me crazy that fans like this shit sometimes. Like, fans want to go to a game that's a blowout. Like, they freak out like, no, I want the Ohio State Notre Dame game. I want 1714. Like, no one like like, like, why, why are we so in tune now to think that a 1714 game is not a good game? That was a quality football game. Like, that was an NFL.
game not a lot of mistakes at all not a lot of penalties not a lot of turnovers back and forth
back and for just hard nose good football and fans don't like that they want blowouts they want to be
you know you know at the bar in the fourth quarter and georgia fans right now are kind of i don't know
i think some of them are torn like they i think most would i say most but like fans freak out when
when games are close drives no no but that's but but also i still think that's probably one of the
Okay, but look, let's, I'm sorry.
I could, because I have derailed this, we are talking about a truth that is self-evident to all.
So let's look at the actual games themselves, Aaron, where again, kind of like we predicted before the year, the stats have been very good.
Um, the flow within the game hasn't always felt great because of how stuff like the AP poll works, they're always going to remain at number one, probably no matter what until they were loose.
So I would frame it like this.
when it comes to winning an SEC championship,
are you more or less sure about when Georgia runs into a good team
than you were preseason four weeks ago?
I'm less sure.
No,
no,
no,
listen,
I'll regress.
I'll take that back real quick.
I think I am more sure because of the way they played in the second half first USC.
And that's a team that like,
okay.
I love Kirby's half time speech,
all time good half time.
I love win the moment.
A great halftime speech.
Win the moment.
And that's the type of game that I want them to have.
Like I talk about like there's been all, like the USC game was not a board game.
Like that was a that was a four quarter game.
Everyone stayed in their sand and they're in their seats the entire game.
So one of four to start the season have been a legit battle, which it shouldn't have been.
You were significantly better than USC.
So that's why I'm kind of torn right now because you are a significantly better team.
North Carolina dominated the trenches, trenches versus USC had nine sacks.
you weren't able to do that.
You struggled on both sides of the football in the first half
for a team that you were significantly better than
so that concerns me.
And that should concern Georgia fans.
But what also should get them excited
is the fact that you do have some dogs on that football team
that can go in the halftime, make the adjustments,
and then dominate the second half and find the way to win the football game.
Like that's what we needed to see.
Georgia's had that team for two years.
You saw it versus Missouri last year.
You saw it at times a year before.
when things aren't going perfect, can you just find a way to win the football game?
And at least they still have that DNA in them that they can go do that.
So mix bag.
And I love, I love Kirby Smart because of that.
Like, I mean, we all know he's an elite coach because of the resume.
And we all know he's an elite coach because of recruiting rankings.
But to me, it's every time that I hear Kirby Smart talk that I'm like, oh, shit, like I get it.
Because, you know, I think we all, we're all, you know, everybody sees that.
that first half against South Carolina,
they're expecting like,
what the fuck are we doing at half?
And he,
and he being a good coach always knows,
when do you leave with the character,
when do you leave with the stick?
And he was like,
no,
my guys need to be lifted up a little bit right now.
They need to be reminded
that we've been here before.
And we need to narrow the focus.
You know me.
I love the saying one snapping clear.
That is,
that is the football goal to rule my dad raised me on.
And that's essentially what Kirby's getting at,
saying, you know,
win the moment,
win the moment.
Because when you're,
when you're oriented in the present,
when that is a friend,
a mind that you form a relationship with time with, you're not afraid of failure because the
outcome is future-based, right? And you're not worried about what just happened. You're not worried
about screwed up because that's the past. It doesn't matter anymore. When you're rooted in
the present, all that matters is what am I doing at this moment to try to accomplish what I'm
seeking to do. And there's real value that, especially in the game of football and Kirby knows that.
So, UJB, yeah, yeah, B, absolutely. And I don't think they're going to get challenged for for a while
again.
Auburn is not going to be a challenge.
Kentucky is,
I think, a good team,
not great team.
But, I mean,
they're a better team.
They're a better team than South Carolina.
Yeah, another boring team, too.
I think Florida is a game this weekend.
We'll talk about that.
Vanderbilt, obviously, no.
No, no.
I don't even think we need to go to the rest of the schedule.
I would just stop.
I'll get to the Florida game.
Let me just get to the Florida game real quick.
Oh, Jesus.
Because I've been on some sidelines this year,
and I've seen these teams what they look like.
And I will be honest, Florida has the players that you look at and say, my God, that looks like an SEC football team.
Okay, okay.
Like they have, they have players on both sides of football that that have the size, that had the speed.
And I know the game this weekend wasn't, wasn't anything sexy.
I was on the call for it.
And they drove up and down the field.
They just couldn't execute in the red zone, but that's kind of a pandemic that's going on right now in college football.
Offenses just can't score in the red zone for some reason.
but they and they were a little bit banged up at the receiving position.
They were missing some of their key guys.
This is a Florida team right now that has a quarterback who's,
I know you give me shit about this,
but Grahamerts is playing well.
They have two really talented running backs.
They have some pretty talented receivers.
And they,
I think they have the best front seven in the SEC.
Like,
their front seven with that Dean line of those line.
I'm guilty of not watching Florida closely enough.
I'll take that.
I'll take that.
Just watch.
That front seven, like the secondary is suspect.
But you can,
we've named multiple.
teams in the SEC that we put on a high bar that have suspects defense of backs a lot of sussex
front seven is really damn good for florida it's like i'm telling you i was all in the field pre
pregame because i always like to say like what did this team look like do they look physically imposing
like do you have guys that walk off the bus and scare the shit out of you florida has multiple guys that
you walk they walk for the bus like damn it's a good looking football team that billy napier has right now
well um oh so we'll see uh i i also is kind of laughing all for george again
has been at home as well, which is kind of crazy to think about.
So Georgia's got a path to be sure.
We'll see where it goes.
Let's talk Colorado.
They fall to Oregon on Saturday, Boe-Nicks, absolutely spectacular.
Dan Lannning, absolutely spectacular.
You know, I want more, I want more personality from anybody, okay?
Yes.
I love when Prime talk shit.
I love it, Lanny talk shit.
I may criticize with somebody like
Jay Norvel goes on there and talks shit,
but I love what they talk to it. It makes it all so much
more exciting. So don't take
my like love of
one meaning you hate the other. No, I love all the
bullshit. I love the drama. I mean, hell, that's what we
do here. But Oregon
does exactly what they said they were
going to do. And when most of us thought they were going to do, they go out
there and they dominate Colorado
beginning to end. We talked about the game
on Saturday. So don't do that. I want to talk about going forward,
right? As we're constantly
adjusting our expectation for this
bus team.
What do you think is realistic?
I feel like I actually have this math out perfectly.
Like, I feel like I know exactly what the correct win total for them should be.
Well, I do want to go to one chat in there.
I go for talent.
The chat says, is Sanders and Hunter out of the Heisman race?
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yes.
Especially with Hunter being out for a couple more games.
That's obviously a loss momentum.
And then.
Yeah, no, it's not Hunter's fault.
He got hurt.
You can't get hurt and win a Heism.
You can't get hurt and win a Heism.
And then for Shadur's standpoint, too, when there's three legitimate Heisman, and now, I mean, the Washington State quarterback had a-
Cam Ward, baby.
Cam Ward, I told you about him for his season.
When you have three or four other Heisman trophy quarterbacks in your conference, who you're going to play and they're going to have better games than you, you can't win the Heisman.
No.
You can't.
Like right now, if you had a Heisman vote, there's no way you could give a vote to Shadur and not Bo Nix after what happened this week.
It's unfortunate because it's not fair because they're on a better football team, but like, it is what it is.
And what else is unfair?
I don't even think you can give it to Bo Knicks, but Michael Pinnix is right there.
Or Caleb will.
I'm like, yeah.
No, I get no, I'm reinforcing your point.
I'm saying, yes.
Yeah, is no, it's not like shooters playing bad or anything.
It's just, no, we're going to get to the pack 12 quarterback list in a little bit.
It's unbelievable.
Anyway, I think eight wins pre-bowl game would be fan of.
Fantastic for Colorado and it's very doable, Aaron.
Eight wins would be eight and four.
Okay.
So right now you're three and one.
So we're going to assume a USC loss to push us to two to two losses out of the four that you're allowed.
You have to beat Arizona, Arizona State and Stanford, okay, which all you should.
You'll be favored in all those six.
So now we're the other two, you have to go.
So now you have to go two and two against UCLA, Oregon State.
Washington State and Utah.
And I'd favor them against UCLA, right?
So I'm thinking, I'm thinking then not a big favorite, but I would.
So I'm thinking, can you steal one?
Can you steal one of Oregon State, Washington, State, Utah?
I think you can.
I think you can be good.
So seven, maybe more realistic, but if they can get to eight, seven,
or a bowl game, that is unreal good.
I think, I think seven, I think seven is, could happen.
I think eight with a bowl game.
I think seeing what we saw this weekend from Washington State, I think that concerns me a significant amount.
So seeing like they're actually pretty damn good.
And I think Oregon State is so a very good football team too.
Yeah.
But I was kind of looking at that as like, okay, I don't know if the coogs, how dominant they could be this year.
I think maybe they could have snuck in that win.
But going on the road there to their home, which is a tough place to travel to, I think that that's kind of that eighth win that I had penciled in last.
week that I'm kind of taken back now. So I would say seven is the goal. Six is realistic. But
once again, man, even if you go to a bowl game, can win eight games in a bowl.
Yeah. It's a hell of a season. I mean, you know, especially we almost where they came from.
So Colorado, far from being done this year. I'm interesting. I'm very interested. I'm very interested. I'm
sure we'll break this game down because it's Colorado versus USC and USC's you know coming to
town so a lot of excitement but like I want to see because Dion had a great post game speech like
didn't make excuses said listen we got our asses kicked we're going to get on that bus on the
plane we're going to go back and we're going to figure this out and you can't change your identity
in a week we talked about it yesterday like I would love for this team to find some way to run the football
but you just can't sprout 300 pound offense line out of your ass you are who you are right now
USC is still not a super physical football team.
So maybe you do somewhat commit to the run this weekend and try to create some more of an identity on offense.
Besides just just Sanders running around trying to make plays, you know, because of a subpar offensive line.
But I just want to see like Ken this team who was obviously first game against TCU, all the hate, all the doubters come out there in one.
You kind of built some momentum.
You win three straight games.
You're on cloud nine.
Everyone's talking about you.
Now you kind of get knocked off.
pedestal a little bit people are hate all they hate all the haters are now out now yeah totally they
they they get fueled off the haters which is a good thing too but how do they respond are they front
runners which i'm not expecting them to win this weekend but i just want to see a team that that that
that can at least be more competitive than what they were last week on the road versus well and i mean
look i haven't watched a ton of USC this year i'm guilty of kind of ignoring them after that shitty
san jane hos state san jane has a state showing from the defense early on um but i think organ's defense is way better
than USC's.
I don't think that's that crazy of a take.
And so you should have like Arizona State just put up 28 and they don't have a
quarterback.
You should,
you should be able to have some success against USC's defense this week,
especially at home.
I want to talk more SC later in the week.
So after Notre Dame Ohio State,
we talked about the Ohio State comes away with the walkoff last second victory.
It's what football is all about, man.
One play.
one yard. Are you going to get it if you win? If you don't, you don't. I mean, that is football
distilled down to its purest form only. Notre Dame is 10 guys in the field, right? But whatever.
Ohio State still gets the end so they win. And after the game, here's what Ryan Day had to say
that old bastard Lou Holtz. Like, I like to know where Lou Holtz is right now. What he said about
our team, what he said about our team, I cannot believe. This is a tough team right here. We're proud to be
Ohio. It's always been Ohio against the world. It'll continue to be Ohio against the world.
But I'll tell you what, I love those kids and we get a tough team.
I mean, okay, again, I love this. I want to celebrate this, but I desperately want to make fun
of it from so many different angles. First off, I never think about Ohio. So I don't know if it
is actually Ohio against the world. Like, as I kind of float through life, I'm never just like,
God damn it, fuck Ohio. Like, I don't know, sure, whatever, dude. But, but mainly he,
Here's the question.
You know, not even getting into him taking exception
what an 86 year old man said on a show
where he's talking to a Lou Holtz impersonator.
And yes, I know it's constantly everywhere's provincial problem.
Shut the fuck up.
Sorry, that's our producer talking in our show chat.
Here's my question, Aaron.
Is Ohio State actually tough?
Because I would say resilient.
I'll accept mental toughness.
I don't know if I'm accepting line of scrimmage toughness.
I mean, they could not gain those short-to-game situations this game.
It burned them multiple times by the end of the game.
They're running jet sweeps on fourth and one.
They're trying to throw it.
Hell, hell, they got in by six inches and they're only in 10 guys.
And they ran it right to where the 11th guy should have been lined up.
And they still barely got in.
So it's like, I get it what he's saying a bit.
It's an exciting game and everything.
But like, I don't think, I think Michigan is still.
going to whip Ohio State's ass in the trenches.
No.
You want to rethink that?
I don't know.
I don't know if I agree with that.
I don't think it's going to be as big of an ass whooping in the trenches as
previous years,
which may give Ohio State.
Like,
I do think,
I will say this,
and I know they were better defensively to start the season last year,
and they kind of fell off towards the end of the year,
obviously with the loss of Michigan and then, you know,
how they performed versus Georgia in the playoff game.
This is a much better defense.
because that was a quality of
Notre Dame offense.
That was.
Like to hold Notre Dame
to 14 points at home
signals to me
and what does Notre Dame want to do
and what have we praised Notre Dame
for who their identity is this entire year?
That's a hard nose
get after an offensive line
with some big ass running backs
that just want to just beat you to death.
And yeah,
and Notre Dame ran the ball
somewhat effectively
by the end of they only scored 14 points.
I know.
Like you held your own
on the road
in a big time environment.
So I know you focus on the offensive side of the football and the offense line maybe not as dominant,
but like Trayvon Henderson looks like he did a few years ago.
Like that's a, that is one of the best running backs in that conference.
You still have elite playmakers on the outside.
You have a young inexperienced quarterback that only made his fourth career start.
He's going to take what he did this past weekend and hopefully continue to get better and better and better.
So if the passing game gets better and the quarterback gets better,
that's going to help the offensive line when it comes to running the football even more effectively with Trayvion.
So and then you have you have a better defense like I disagree like this is a more physical
football team in years past are they as physical as Michigan probably not yeah but they're
they are more physical than than who they've been plus they're still better at the skill position
than Michigan which gives them a better opportunity to win that football game I saw Michigan
winning but more of a chance more of a chance I mean yeah you make good points dude I'm just being
a hater going into that environment and find a way to win the game that is toughness i'll give you
that it's just that i think it's you know they just really i'm mainly just focused on the o line you're
also we'll say this though erin i don't know about you that legitimately may be the first time i've
ever heard ryan day speak to me he's just in like a like a human lego figure like a just for men
Lego commercial figure basically.
And so you know
what? Maybe I need to listen to Ryan Day
more because the first thing I hear it out, it's kind of
give me a little juice. He's pretty fired up.
I kind of love it a little bit.
I feel like I had one more Ryan Day
joke, maybe. I can't
remember it. Oh, well. But Ohio State
massive win, right? Mass and
massive win. Passing the first big test.
All of a sudden now, too, Aaron.
Notre Dame's playoff hopes. I'm done by
any mean, but took a big blow.
I mean, took a big blow.
If, if, uh, if they, if they had gotten that one, your boy would have been victory
lapping about the Notre Dame playoff call.
Now, maybe not so much.
Uh, okay, last thing here, Aaron, and until we get our top 10, and we'll go through this
quickly, but I just had to mention it.
And I know this doesn't, you know, this is in some of the big names that we're always talking
about, but we got to shout out the left behind bull.
Just an absolute classic out in Pullman, Washington, the Battle of the Bastards.
Cam Ward, yet another excellent pack 12 quarterback.
Watching this cat is so much fun, dude.
It's like watching somebody play backyard football.
He's just running around back there, extended plays, launching it downfield.
He finishes 28 of 34 for 404, four touchdowns in the air.
He ran for a fifth, and Wazoo pulls it out 38, 35, came down to an onsen.
side kick at the end in which like it was an incredible outside kick actually washington
it screwed up they barely get on it and they escape with a huge ranked it's their first over top
15 opponents is 2018 huge win uh this was probably the best game of the weekend besides the the the
third best game yeah i guess i don't know if you take away i guess if you like offenses
i'll take that back because i do i do appreciate like i said earlier in the show i do appreciate a good
quality football game that's 17 to 14
like those are my type of football games.
Notre Dame Ohio State were better in this one.
That that's completely fair.
Oregon State made a late this was a year to make it exciting.
But it was it.
But no, no, no, no.
It's fine.
It's fine.
It's their best.
It was a good game.
It was a really good game.
Cam Ward's a freak man.
I mean,
I think all of us were,
a lot of us,
including myself,
have been very enamored with DJU and the storylines of, you know,
how well he's playing this year and a new,
new, new,
new, new,
new,
Jersey on and obviously you see in Clemson struggle at two and two to start the season off.
But this wasn't about him.
This was about Cam Ward and him coming out there.
I think like 19 to 20 to start the first half.
And not just dink and dunks to like go up the first drive.
He's throwing bombs down the field and right on target to those receivers where they're catching in stride and making plays against a very good Oregon State defense.
Very impressed with Kim Ward.
I would say that.
Another another another, another high's been contending quarterback.
in the PAC 12.
Well,
that's another one.
That's what I want to look at real quick here to say it's a chart.
I was on the Wazoo money line.
You know why?
Because of Pullman, Washington.
You always have to be careful going into Pullman.
Do you know there's only 32,000 in the city of Pullman, 32,000.
All they give a fuck about are the coogs.
Okay.
And when the coogs are hot, so is Pullman.
Be careful.
Like Corvallis, 60,000 people in Corvallus.
Might as well be New York City.
compared to the homies over there in Pullman.
All there is to do is just watch football.
Also, how about this?
Have you seen Cam Ward sets?
Oh, we're about to get into it.
75%, 13 passing touchdowns, zero interceptions,
and then another three rushing touchdowns on top of that.
Wait, how about this?
There's a Janikowski kicking for Washington State,
but no relation to Sebastian.
It's a random Janikowski.
I've got the chances.
All right, let's look at these, because you're right,
this this cam war thing sending me down a hole if you click top rated quarterbacks right now in the
pack 12 alone there you get caleb williams at number one with a 223 which leads the nation
15 touchdowns zero picks 74% completion and 12 yards per attempt then you get michael pinnings
junior who's at 209 16 touchdowns and two picks 400 yards a game
12 yards for completion and 74%.
Then you get Cam Ward who's 74% 10 yards completion 13 to 0 touch out of the picks.
Then you get Bo Nix 1101, Shadurr 1101, Dante Moore 8 to 2.
Like it is insane the amount of talented quarterback play in one conference right now.
It is. It is.
And the defenses aren't horrendous by any means.
Like you could barely say like, oh, you know, offenses in the Pacti have always been great.
and there's just a massive gap between the offense.
Like there's some quality defenses.
Like UCLA is a really good defense.
Oregon State's a good defense.
Oregon's a good defense.
Like there's,
there are good defenses in that league.
It's just the offenses and the quarterbacks are on a different level.
As you're like,
you can go down the list and there's five quarterbacks right now.
That could be potential top two round quarterbacks over the next two seasons.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, it's, it's, it's, what a time.
What a time.
The, the, the Shakespearean irony of the Pac-12's demise continues to play out in front of our face.
And it's glorious, sad, but glorious.
Finally, Aaron, it's time for a little snap top 10.
And already immediately, we mean you signed in the stream lab today.
We started fighting because you try to pull some bole.
shit with this top 10.
So do you, why don't you just go ahead and, uh,
lead us off, lead us off and tell us who you think should be the top 10 teams in the
entire cut.
Or no, don't do that.
We're going to go and crap.
This is like we always sit by bit.
Um, I think, I think, okay, you, you start.
Yeah.
Okay.
I'll just give my first two and then we'll go from there.
I have Georgia one FSU two.
Okay.
All right.
Then what the fuck are we doing?
Already, this is so flawed.
and so stupid.
Georgia and Michigan get treated with the same respect or disrespect in these rankings.
This is not the AP.
We don't have to give credence to championships of the past.
I don't see steps have been in on this team.
Okay.
So no, get the hell out of here, dude.
If you are going to bump Florida State ahead of Michigan.
We talked the entire season about why is Georgia one in the preseason?
Because until you knocked the king down,
he will stay at number one.
For the AP poll, this ain't the AP poll.
We don't have to be beholden to that sort of stuff.
My point is, you want to put Florida State at three,
even though they got the two best wins in the country,
best pair of wins, put them at three.
But you're not split, you're not like,
what has this season, not last season, this season,
what is the difference between Michigan and Georgia
that Florida State you jump one and not the other?
The mindset of until the top team of the country loses,
until the back-to-back defending national championship team.
I just said taking out the back-to-back element.
How can you take out the back-to-back?
What have you done for me lately?
Okay, this season of football.
Who are the top 10 teams this season of football?
Okay.
Fine.
We'll take out the back-to-back national champs.
We'll take him out.
They're the champs.
They will be the champs until someone else wins a championship.
But we'll take him out.
We will take him out.
The number one team right now,
if we had to just purely pick off what has happened this season,
regardless of where you were ranked in the preseason,
regardless of what happened last season,
the team that has the best resume,
but that's the problem too.
It's not about just resume,
like who's looked the best.
Yeah, and the mixture of resume and looking the best
would go to Florida State.
And that's what problem.
Florida State has to be better.
They have to be better on first, second down.
I'd put Texas at one then.
I'd put Texas at one.
Texas has vastly underperformed outside of the Alabama game.
Watch out.
Hey, it's a mixture.
It is a mixture.
Not this past weekend.
They whipped Baylor's ass this weekend.
So don't.
Oh,
Baylor's awful.
You know Baylor's awful.
What are you talking about?
Boston College is awful too.
And Florida State almost lost to Boston College.
I don't care.
I care more about your big wins.
I care more about your big wins.
They went into Tuscaloosa.
Yeah.
And you just saw FSU go into Clemson and beat LSU to start.
And look bad.
And we talked about yesterday.
Clemson had multiple opportunities with self-inflicted wounds that should have kind of run away with the game at points.
Should have created double the needs.
Yes.
I will play that game.
Florida State was not the more, Florida State was not the better team in that game.
They found a way to win.
Congratulations.
A hell of a win.
They were not the better team in that game.
Clemson played the better football game.
Look, you sit here and tell me all the time about how band,
is like an eight and four team and yet now you want to suck off Texas for being an eight and four
Bama what is it then we'll be it what is it okay you tell me that LSU is good and it was
clinton and we look at the end of the season clumson has a better chance to be aimed for than
Alabama does right now Texas is one wind does not beat Florida states too and also Texas
I'm just like looking at but once again it's not just the you just talk about it's not the
resume there's there's a part of this that is an eye test for me as well and also
Texas to me looks like the better football team than FSU.
I'm going to see what they do against Kansas this weekend.
It's a good challenge.
I agree.
I think it's a big idea.
Kansas is catching 17.
I put the bet down immediately.
Plus 17 for Jalen Daniels and the Hawks.
Tell me you don't like it.
I do like it.
I saw that this morning.
I was like,
oh, kind of like that.
Yeah, exactly.
Exactly.
But that does less to do with Texas and more of like Kansas is a very good team with a very good quarterback.
I think FSU would have a great chance
of beating Florida on a neutral field
or believe in Georgia on a neutral field right now
or Michigan.
I think Texas is the better football team.
So what?
You want Texas one?
I would put if I had to just purely put
regardless, like this is a brand new ranking.
We're starting fresh right now.
Once again, nothing to do with last season
and Georgia winning back to back national championships.
I think Texas has looked the best to start the season.
The best football team to me.
You know how embarrassing.
it's going to be if we put Texas one and then Kansas goes and beats him.
And I love Kansas.
To be clear, Kansas just keeps making us money.
The snaps boys love Kansas.
We do.
All right.
You know what?
I would still rather in our top 10 honor resume and what you've actually done.
So yeah, sure, fuck it.
Texas one, Florida State, two, Georgia, three, Michigan, four.
Amy, if you want to go resume,
Or bump Ohio State up to three.
Then bump Ohio State up.
Okay, fine.
Texas, Florida State, Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan.
No, like, like, if we're going, like Georgia, Michigan, I haven't done shit.
So like what's like, and it's not like they've looked extremely impressive either.
We're just purely going out the fact that, you know, everyone assumed these were the number one and number two teams in the country heading to the season.
I still think they're going to be there, but you haven't done it yet.
And they haven't done it against a quality opponent.
And neither team has looked extremely dominant this year.
Yeah.
so let's ding him for it so let's dig him for it.
Fuck him for it.
Fuck him.
Good.
Hell yeah.
Okay.
You need to change my shit up.
All right.
So one FSU.
I gave you that.
One Texas.
I gave you that.
Two FSU.
Ohio State.
Yeah.
For Washington.
Yeah.
Now we're fucking cooking.
Yes.
I agree.
Then.
I go five Oregon.
I'm not that.
impressed by the Colorado win right there's levels to this right would you like already even
even Washington a little bit like you've just been so dominant every week that I'll take it but
even Washington I can you know I want to play a good team you know get that good notch on the
bell is this is this is we go back to okay now five Georgia yes yes yes okay five
teams ahead of FFF looked really really good plus they've had some good resume builders
yes I agree five Georgia six
six Michigan seven I put in Oregon above Penn State I still don't believe in Penn State I don't believe
in Penn State uh really because uh Jake Hester told me this morning he thinks that Penn State could be the
best team in the country no are you putting at seven Oregon now put Penn State at eight
uh okay I don't believe in Penn State offense yeah yeah I'm not believe in Penn State's offense
at all at all you do not have the playmakers on the outside uh I think Olar is good I don't think
elite. And when you have a good quarterback plus average receivers on the outside, that that that that
worries me versus when you do place Ohio State and when you do face Michigan. Yeah. No, I mean,
look, that valid concerns. I mean, what was it better offense? Who has a better offense?
Notre Dame or Penn State? Are you taken? I'm taking Notre Dame. I'm taking Notre Dame. I would take
Notre Dame. I take Hartman. Yeah, for sure. And look what Ohio State just did to that, that offense.
All right.
So I'm obviously USC 9
I'm guessing right
Right
USC 9 I got LSU 10
LSU 10 is there an undefeated team
That should be in ahead of LSU
I don't think so
I mean you got
You have Utah which they're a hard team
The judge because I just can't give you
I mean
Yeah like what's going
And they're injured it's not just him
They're injured to all hell
Like I'm not even
I feel bad for Utah because if they're getting
like they may be getting fucking
just purely by injuries.
I think if Oklahoma would have dominated Cincinnati this weekend, I would have
maybe, maybe, maybe, because they have looked, they've looked better this year.
The defense, I mean, but that's a good thing.
Like the defense has been really well.
Let's throw an OU.
Let's throw an OU.
No, I still, I can't not put.
I think LSU is one of the best teams in the country.
Okay.
All right.
I think that's a list.
I think that's a list.
Jesus Christ.
Texas number one on a snaps top 10.
I love it.
Did I just get gaslit?
Is this how you used to take women home in college?
What just happened?
I don't even understand exactly what just happened.
I'm still just hung up on Ryan Dacey and it's Ohio versus the world.
Like, is there like a French small business owner right now?
He like runs a cafe and I don't know, like northern France.
And he's just like, fucking high and pay.
The no one, the no one believes in us, you know, it's our,
small community against the world has literally been done for thousands of you.
I don't push.
Look what Kirby did last year.
What did Kirby do last year?
No one believes me.
You're seven and fucking five.
It's George against the world.
You can see the community.
The comedic potential of somebody in Afghanistan just fucking sitting there and smashing their Turkish coffee because they're so fucking furious at Ohio State winning the game.
Damn it.
