Hey guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late night comedy guy, not quite. Unhumor me with Robert Smygel
and friends. Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman help make you
funnier. This week, my guest, SNL's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel, help an
a cappella band with their between songs banter. Where does your group perform? We do some
retirement homes. Those people are starving for banter. Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and
friends on the ice.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is,
getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is,
getting a new one put up in its place.
I'm Akela Hughes, and Rebel Spirit season two is about both of those things.
As I was watching these statues come down,
I was thinking about what it meant that I grew up in a majority black city,
in which there were more homages to enslavers than there were to enslave people.

I'm Sloan and I know basketball.
Today's guest is from one of the best basketball families of all time.
It's none other than Thanassus Atta de Coupa.
His journey from growing up in Greece to being drafted by the Knicks to winning a championship with his younger brother, Yonis, is a story you won't want to miss.
Tell me how to pronounce your last name.
Uh, Thanesis, Antitacumbo.
Okay, you're saying it too fast.
Okay.
Uh, introduction there.
So, Antetocumpo.
Okay, ready?
You're going to rate me on tete de cumpo.
Yeah, you just used the...
T twice.
Ttecumpo.
Yeah.
Oh my God, look at that.
Okay, so everyone now, we heard it here first, how to pronounce it.
I'm never going to get it wrong ever again.
Love it.
Okay, so thanasis, I'm 17 years old, which I know that was a really long time ago for you,
but I want you to set your mind back when you were 17.
Yeah.
And I want to hear what it was like growing up for you in Greece, especially in your teenage years.
Oh, man.
It was crazy.
I mean, just starting to play basketball and just like really having a big, big, like, just dreams.
And I'm still kind of in that kind of realm.
I just got, you know, just a little bit older.
And there's more responsibilities, I think.
But just, yeah, just chasing all the time and just like,
always worrying about my family and my brothers.
And same feeling I just feel now, honestly.
Yeah.
Speaking of that, sort of being like this is such a surreal feeling,
I watched the Disney movie about your family, which I loved.
And when I was thinking about that movie and thinking about this interview,
I wanted to ask you what, if 17-year-old Thanassas was sitting in this chair,
what would he think that you were now an NBA champion and have had a movie made about your family?
Wow.
I don't think I would believe it about you.
I don't think, and if I told my 17-year-old self, like, hey, all your brothers are going to be champions and you're all going to be playing basketball,
and you all going to, like, really, like, live your dream through basketball, you know?
And I don't know if I could believe it, because, to be honest with you, you just live in, like, segments, you know, right?
You just, that's how the human mind works.
You get to a certain age, and then you start thinking about the future more and more.
But I think if you were told me today,
and I had to travel like in a time machine back in time,
I'd be like, no, no, no, just let me focus.
I don't believe you.
Just let me focus.
That's what I would say.
I love that.
That's really cool.
So you started playing basketball much later than most NBA players did.
Can you tell us a little bit about how you got into basketball in the first place?
Because correct me if I'm wrong, but you started off with soccer, right?
Yeah, we did play soccer.
Me and my brothers, you know, we was going to,
I mean, because my dad played soccer professional, so that was our thing.
But then one day we just decided and start like, it was like, okay, let's try basketball
and then met some people and just decided to take this around.
And I loved it.
Actually, basketball just felt like just more engaging.
You know, I just felt like soccer for us at the time was great.
But like it was, you just really had to have love for a certain position in soccer.
Instead of basketball, you get to be everywhere at all, all time.
So, like, office, defense and something else.
How familiar were you even with the NBA being in Greece?
I mean, as much as we could, as much as I could,
I mean, we don't really have, at the time,
we didn't really have cable or, I don't know how you guys call it,
like, but we did have a certain, like, you know,
we have a big, big tradition with basketball in Greece, you know,
back home. So we did love basketball and we did have like this. And I think like after 2000 and
I want to say four, five kind of changed. I wasn't even born then. Yeah. Yeah, we kind of changed
the trajectory for us. Yeah. I talked about this in my podcast with Brian Whithorst talking about
team USA against Greece and kind of like that changed our whole way. Yeah, your mindset. Yeah.
It was like, oh my God, this is this is amazing. So can you name a specific European
player that sort of inspired your journey into American basketball.
Oh, so many, so many.
I mean, you have Spanoulis.
You guys, a lot of guys know Spanoulis,
Giammadi's, Papalukas, no guys like that,
like Nico Zishi's, like all of those, all those guys,
guys, sophoklis, Coglis, Cogniti's Baby Shack.
We call them Lazy Shack.
So all of these guys kind of like, with them winning
inspired like our generation to be like, oh my God,
this is, this is this is.
is doable. You know, you can, you can be a start in this, uh, on this big stage. Yeah. So I want to go back
to soccer for a little bit because I played soccer. Your dad played soccer professionally. And you
guys started off your journey playing soccer. So if you were to compare your soccer game to one
professional player, who would that be? Would that be? Messy? Nah. No, no. I was too tall,
too big. I would say more like a drug bar.
Did your drug ban.
I was mostly like, kind of I gave like speed and just like,
uh, direct thought like was, you know, just being big and, you know, just, uh, powerful
when I was like, I'll take shots.
Yeah.
Yeah, but, um, I mean, I don't know how you could be stopped in the box.
Like, if they cross it in, like, yeah, no, no, just use your body really good.
So I'll tell him.
Yeah.
That's, that's a good one for sure.
Um, what was your experience?
Like, I know you played pro in Greece.
What's the biggest difference you noticed?
you noticed playing basketball in Greece and then playing basketball in the United States.
I think just everybody just being athletic, you know, like when I play basketball in Greece,
you know, now now everybody's like the world, the whole world is starting to catch up.
Like if you notice like every.
I mean, the Olympics was not really run for us.
Yeah.
But at the time like it there was, you know, people weren't so athletic.
And I was always wondering like, am I going to be athletic if I come to the NBA?
or if I come to the States and play,
I'm still going to be athletic,
I'm going to look like everybody else.
But it was great, man.
I just came here and then I was like, okay,
I still belong to the 90% of the, you know,
being athletic and run and jump
and be able to defend and stuff like that.
So, yeah.
Yeah, and I've seen all these TikTok videos
that always amaze me,
where the fans in Europe are crazy.
Like, and I feel like maybe that's not allowed
in the United States.
I don't know what it is, but do you prefer playing there
because of the atmosphere?
So there's, I think,
there's pros and cons. I don't know if, you know, if it's not allowed per se, it just has to do with, like, etiquette.
You know, like, guys are, like, die-hard fans. I think people are die-hard fans, you know,
be walkie and Knicks and the Celtics. You do have die-hard fans. But, like, in the Balkans, it's different.
It's a different ballgame, and it's different when you walk in the arena, and it's 20,000 people,
and they're in the seats, like, two hours before the game. And, and, you know, and people would say, like,
you know, it's borderline.
It gives you chills.
It's scary.
Gives you chills and the same time makes you play.
If you have a fan base that has this kind of energy
and I play for a fan base like that,
you feel like Superman.
Like when you play, you do things that you,
sometimes you don't even believe you could do.
Yeah, because it like fuels you.
What NBA team's fan base do you think is most similar
to a European fan base.
I mean, sadly, none.
Really?
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, the closest to it, you see it in the playoffs,
that's the closest you can see.
Yes, not in a regular season.
Yeah, in the playoffs.
But no, no, even in the regular season now with the cup.
Yeah, how do you think the in-season tournament
has sort of changed maybe the fan experience?
A lot, a lot, and it's just, and it's really new,
the second year, but I think, like, from next year,
you will see more and more, like, teams and people, like,
really be
locked in zero
into the games and want to win
because for you to win the cup
it's like you got it with seven in a row
so so that I think that
what people see is going to like really
really get them to the seats and
even more like riled up
as they out of all right out of whatever
but a fan base I mean
the closest
you could see a fan base
I want to say doing that
it is the playoffs but
I mean, it's just weird.
You can't really, because you're playing so many games.
Yeah, it's hard to have that every time.
Yeah, it's hard to have that every time.
And you can think about that.
In Europe, it's like two games a week.
So you could have that a little bit easier.
I've noticed, obviously, I have a different experience than you because I'm not on the court.
But I've been to Warriors, Clippers, Lakers, jazz games.
I'm definitely trying to see more, meaning they played other teams,
but at their home arenas, the jazz fans are crazy.
And, like, I didn't expect that coming, you know, Utah.
But I feel like they're crazier than I thought.
So that was definitely cool to see.
Yeah, I think Utah has a good tradition with, like, basketball.
I think a lot of teams go out there and they kind of, I think, I remember we had a
illusion streak for a minute.
Really?
Yeah, in Utah.
Like, because of the crowd, the fun base, the players and the altitude.
Altitude, yeah, that's big time.
He was drink.
When Thanassas walked in here, guys, he was carrying a giant water.
It was crazy.
So I don't know why he has trouble with the altitude
because he drinks insane amounts of water.
Okay, I'm really interested in this.
So growing up in Europe, you obviously didn't go to college
because you went straight to the pros.
If you had to choose an American college
that you think you would have gone to,
which school do you think it would have been?
I've got to ask this before.
And I always say like kind of three of them.
So one would be Louisville,
like I'm like...
Really?
Deflections and steals and something like that.
And the other one would be Baylor.
I feel like, yeah, I'm definitely...
Yeah.
The type of like.
And then the other school would be Indiana, who's like with Vic or Depot.
I felt like I was watching Vic playing.
I was like, okay, that's cool.
It's great to be like a part of that.
Yeah.
That's cool.
I like your answers because I feel like usually when you ask European players,
they're like, oh, Duke or the best schools.
I like that you have those.
You really thought about this.
I can tell.
I like that a lot.
Because, you know, like, the only reason I didn't, like, go to college is because my mom and, like, my parents didn't really, we didn't really have money.
So we had to, like, go pro.
We had to, like, to get that, yeah.
To do that first.
But, like, looking back, definitely.
So you think if NIL had have been a thing when you were a kid, you'd have gone here?
We would have been in, of course.
Yeah, you would have come free.
Yeah.
Of course.
Just think about how many kids from overseas go now, NIL.
Oh, it's crazy.
Yeah.
Of course.
and then I kind of joke with some of my teammates because, you know, like, I like fraternities and stuff like that.
You want to be a brat boy.
No, no, but fraternities in the sense of like brotherhood and stuff like that.
So I was definitely was like, oh, yeah, I'll go to, I don't know how much like HBCUs, like if they have like, you know, like basketball, like stuff like that.
Just the, you know, step and stuff like that.
I could see myself do that.
Yeah.
Okay.
So because we were talking about NIL, what did you want?
buy with your first NBA check.
Did I buy? Nothing.
Really? You just saved it?
Yeah. I was already playing.
Yeah. I was with you.
So when I first played with the Knicks, I didn't really get like that kind of money.
Yeah, because it was more like a D-League.
Yeah, it was a league.
And then I got a call up.
So he wasn't really like that much of money.
But then when I came to the buck, when I came back to the NBA, I was already, you know, I was already the professional athletes.
Yeah.
So it wasn't that same experience.
Yeah.
And, you know, it was a blessing in disguise as well because, you know, almost.
brother's place. I never had to like say like oh I got to get my brother's this I got to do this mom
like we've always you've all gotten to do it together together at the same time so that's been a blessing
for us to be able to build off this and really like you know that's super cool um so we talked a little bit
about European basketball and the difference between European basketball and the NBA there's
been this concept you know that people have been talking about a lot online about this idea
take the Champions League in soccer but put that in basketball and have NBA teams
playing teams like Real Madrid, BC.
What do you think that that would be like?
Would you be an advocate for that?
Oh, yeah, 100%.
I would be an advocate for that
because I think be like teams and players,
like especially if they play like a couple of the Greek teams as well
that were from, they would lose their minds.
They would like, there's no way you guys play basketball like this.
There's no way.
Yeah.
And yeah, I think people would love it and they would create like a,
I think people of, I think the whole of,
the world would love it. Now in the States, I don't know how much, you know, how much somebody,
you know, really cares about playing a European team in their stadium. But once they, you know,
they lose, they definitely want to. Then they care. All right. So what was your NBA I made it moment?
Because you had a definitely a not traditional path to the NBA balancing, you know, between being
in Greek, being in the D League and then finally making it with a real, like, you know, an NBA team like
the box. No, I think, no, it wasn't even just making it with the, but I think it was when I
drafted you know because like just getting I don't think people realize this like you know
just getting drafted it's so crazy it's like 60 people in in like in the whole planet they get
picked every year right and just to be able to have you know three of them in your family like
you know I got drafted and Janis got drafted and courses got drafted and like then I was like
okay I'm I'm an elite professional basketball player it didn't matter if I was
going to play in the NBA, to be honest with you, because the NBA drafts based on potential
players, right? And imagine, like, now that aids because, you know, now, like, people
can be like, okay, yay. It's, you know, when you're older, people get to, it's the business side
of it, right? I'm going to get this player because this player does this for me, get that player.
But then when you're young, nobody knows you. Nobody knew me. Nobody cares. Nobody knew, you know,
nobody knew coach. Like, nope, they just like, you know what? We believe they have a potential to play in the NBA
someday. We're going to draft them now.
and let's see in the future.
So that that lets you know that you just have that NBA type of
athleticism and potential.
So that was the that was the moment.
Okay, obviously after you want to you want to say like,
obviously winning a championship.
Like, okay, it doesn't happen.
But yeah.
And I feel like it's also especially cool that you got drafted to the Knicks because being
a kid in Europe, that's one of the teams that you really know.
You know what's so crazy?
I remember when I got drafted.
People like keep saying like, oh, you got drafted first before Yon's,
that is not true.
Yon's got drafted 20.
I got drafted, I got drafted 2014.
After him, yes.
But nobody remembers he's not getting drafted
because I got drafted in Nix.
That's what matters, exactly.
And it was a huge thing.
I remember back in Greece, like, oh my God, he's, you know,
just this whole thing.
But for me, it was just a proud moment
because I really, really worked hard to, like, you know, do this.
So I think people have to sometimes just like,
you know, like really embrace and really,
change these moments and steps like that.
Because a lot of times people get caught up
in different different things
and they're like, yeah, and what's going on in the world?
But they don't really chase their steps
and go like, oh, okay, this is,
I've had an amazing, like, journey and stuff like that.
Yeah, it's the little moments that matter.
I love that.
What is a fan interaction that you will never forget?
Fan?
Um...
It's probably hard to pick one.
I'm sure you've had so many, but...
I do have a fan interaction.
So is this guy, his name is, um...
I mean, I don't know.
I don't want to say his name.
Okay, yeah, this guy, okay.
So I'm in New York, Goddrafted.
I'm kind of like, you know, looking for Greek food.
And then I'm looking for this specific Greek ice cream.
It's called Kaimaki.
And I can't find it anywhere.
So I, like, I don't know.
Did I tweet?
Do I say something?
I don't know what I said.
And I was like, guys, is anywhere in New York?
Your family has a history of crazy tweets.
So I don't know.
No, we don't, yeah, we don't really tweet like that.
Funny things, like Oreos and milksheets.
Yonis said crazy stuff.
But we, so I'm thinking I'm trying to find this ice cream.
I can't find it anywhere in New York.
I'm like, there's no way.
Yeah, it's nowhere.
It's New York.
Yeah.
And I couldn't find it.
And then this fan contact me at the time fan.
Now he's one of my like cool friends.
This is like, this is my friend now.
And he contacts me and he goes like, okay, I'm, um,
Like, send me an adage or something to ship.
I want to ship you something.
Send me an adjus or, I don't know.
Et cetera.
And I go like, okay.
So I send him a PO box.
Send him like my address.
And then he sends me a whole like ice cream machine.
Wow.
Yes.
And then he sends me all the ingredients to make that ice cream.
And at the moment, I was shocked.
I was like, is this like a, is this a whole ice cream machine?
And then and then the ingredients and my,
and mastica and this and that, and blah, blah, blah.
I'm like, wow, I mean, I'm gonna, oh, I'll make it.
But then what got me, I was like, wow, that, that's my,
that would be my family.
Like, my family would do something like that, you know?
Yeah, people care that much.
Yeah, my family would do something like that.
And I never, like, forget about that.
And I remember, I was like, hey, when I come to Canada, Montreal,
like, we, like, I'm going to meet you, I'm going to see you.
And I'm meeting him there and then, like, and then, shoot,
I saw him a lot, a lot, and I saw him like a couple of months ago,
my brother's wedding.
That's crazy, right?
That's amazing.
So, like, we're, like, that's my, like, we're friends.
That's so cool.
I love that story.
What about winning a chip was most special to you?
And the reason why I asked this question is because, you know, as, it's weird to call us normal people, right?
But people that aren't in the NBA.
You think winning a chip must be the most surreal feeling.
But I feel like a lot of the players that I've talked to with, one, have had different reasons that have made it so special.
And I'm curious to hear what yours is.
My, my.
reasons I think I have two reasons.
One is the obvious one.
Like, who doesn't want to win a championship?
Like, if you're a winner, you want to win.
It doesn't matter.
If you play, don't play, you just want to win.
Whatever you stand, whatever you walk to, I want this to win.
So that's one.
But the other reason is very, very personal.
Like, we really wanted to win.
I really wanted to win because my brother won the year before with the Lakers.
And we had this.
And I remember we were sitting in the table and I'm like, oh, my God.
like he just won a champ.
He was the first one at Chip.
Yeah.
And you know, and the way he wanted, you know, with the guys he wanted with like LeBron
and Dwight and the guys and AD and all these guys with the Lakers.
And they were like, oh my God.
Mind you, that season, our season, we were supposed to go all the way as well, but the COVID happened.
Yeah.
So just sitting in the table and he's like he's had, like he's had his hat on.
He's flexing?
No, he just got it.
He just flew in.
And, you know, other times, COVID.
So there's no, like, parade, no nothing.
But we did something for him.
So we had all our friends, and we did, like, a whole, like, convoy with our cars and our friends.
And we met him at the airport.
And, you know, the next day, we were just all sitting and he was talking about the championship
and, like, how crazy this is.
And then he got his ring.
And we did this whole video for his rig ceremony.
And while we were doing the video, I'm sitting with him, I'm like, we're going to win.
We got to win.
And I remember, you know, he was.
wasn't the usual, like dinner.
I was always like, oh, yeah, like everybody gets a dinner.
It wasn't just that.
It was like so full of motivation.
And I remember the day, the next day was so serious, like, hey, we got it.
Like, we're right there.
Like, let's figure this out.
We're right there.
And for us to win it the next year was so surreal because now we're like, oh, my God, this is incredible.
Can you imagine telling somebody like, hey,
this is how close to the chances are.
Like, hey, I'm going to win a hundred million dollars,
I'm going to win the next lottery.
And you go like, huh?
Yeah, that's so crazy.
You're right?
And then somebody next to you wins it,
which happens to be your brother, he wins it.
You're like, oh, my God, you just won the lottery.
No, I got to do it too.
But think about this, you say this out loud,
but people don't really believe that.
No.
They just say it just to say it.
Yeah.
But to say it out loud, to make it happen.
And then after the fact, come down.
sit and like, oh my God, we just did this. It's, it's special. It's special. It must be so special
for you guys, but I can't imagine how special that must be for your mom. Yeah, my mom. My mom is like,
you know what she's amazing and she's so proud of us. And she's so proud of us, you know,
regardless no matter what, but like she told us it like, don't wonder what are you guys going
going to win as well. I was like, yeah, you guys are going to win. I mean, you guys are the same.
your brothers.
If he could do it, you could do it.
Yeah.
I was like, okay, let's go.
And we did it.
So I can't complain.
I can't.
I always put my faith in my mom.
Yeah.
I know your mom was visiting L.A., right?
And I heard, I was like, maybe she was going to come on.
I was like talking to someone.
Like, I've gotten to talk to the coolest NBA players, but talking to your mom,
she's like superwoman.
That would have been so cool.
Tell her if she ever wants to come on a podcast.
She's very interesting.
I was thinking about doing an episode of my podcast with her.
So it's like, what am I going to talk about?
I was like, you have so many things to talk about.
Not just the, you know, the, because basketball is one thing.
Yeah.
Like mentality and raising us and, you know, my dad and the dynamic between, you know, like sports and us and who we are and character.
And how much you like you really put into the character and not the sports.
Yeah.
She never said like, you got to go to the gym and shoot.
No.
She was just like, I meet you, being your best, like, the best person, the best version of yourself.
And then that will trickle down to court.
Yeah. Well, clearly her parenting work.
Yeah.
It went well.
All right.
So I'm curious, obviously, as fans, we watch the NBA all the time.
But as an NBA player, how often do you actually watch games on TV?
So if you're a if you love basketball, you watch.
Like I watch, like I watch Euro League.
I watch NBA.
I watch everything.
Anything that has to do with basketball.
And especially if I have any remotely somebody who I know that's playing, like I would watch it.
Like I have like former teammates and people who have watched their games.
I haven't told them.
Like I've watched the game.
Yeah, Italy, he and then NBA.
Like I just watch the games.
But I won't like, you know, I won't tell them like, hey, I watch their game.
But I do watch a lot basketball.
Yeah.
And considering this is one of your first seasons in a while watching more as a fan because of your injury,
I want you to give me your NBA award predictions.
All right.
So we're going to start with MVP.
Yeah.
Tell me who you think that VP is this season.
It's going to be, I think it's going to be, now I'm giving it the realistic.
I'll give you the way I'm talking about my show.
Like it has to be, it's going to be between two guys, which is my brother and yoghits.
Like those two, you can be bigger than one in the end of the season.
So I prefer my brother.
Well, I figured you prefer your brother.
But yeah.
Okay.
You know, I'm being, you know, just.
Uh-huh. That's actually really nice because to be honest, if like that, if I was
honest and my brother was you, he'd be like, no, I want, I want, I want you.
win like he would never be.
Yeah, yeah, no, no, no.
But yeah, Janice is, yeah.
But obviously the same thing, Yogi, they don't,
those two guys, they don't play for the awards.
No. They play to. They're just that good and it happens.
Yeah, no, yeah, they just play to be better every day.
I'm just saying from the fans perspective, like watching them
playing consistency is different.
It is.
Who is your most improved player this season?
Most improved player?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's a great question.
Thanks.
You go, so let me.
I'll get back to it.
Go get to it.
Okay.
Okay.
Rookie of the year, which is a crazy one because my rookie of the year just got hurt.
I'm very upset about it.
Jared McCain was my rookie of the year.
I mean, that wasn't popular opinion.
It's so sad to see that now he can't really get the award.
So who's playing now?
So like Stephen Castle is probably, he's like the number one prediction right now.
Jalen Wells.
They're like up there.
I thought Rook of the year was going to be this guy from the Lakers.
Oh, Don Connect.
Yeah.
Kind of felt for him like,
him like because I saw him play and I was like oh my god he's so mature in where he plays yeah he'll
definitely fit in uh in uh you know in the championship team because a lot of times people don't
don't tell you this but like you got on it's a big big difference between being the guy between
coming to a big roster to play that's why a lot of young guys won't play um totally oh we have
we have fans watching this episode young guys won't play so but they'll be able to be mature and be like
okay this what I do this what I do this is what this is the way I can help this team so I got
dominate this point.
Yeah.
But Jeremy Kane was probably,
yeah.
Okay.
Lastly,
who do you think
is going to win the chip this year?
And I don't want to see any bias.
You know,
you ought to be straight up.
Any bias?
Apart from, like,
obviously always,
you know,
like, Milwaukee has a special place in my heart,
other than the box.
It's,
you know what?
Usually,
it's a lot of seasons
that you have like some people
that are clear cut
for winning.
But like,
apart from,
Obviously, you know, the Celtics did it last year,
so they kind of have like this little advantage over everybody a little bit.
Yeah.
But other than this, like, I think it's up there.
I think so too.
For whoever it's healthy in the end of the season
and for whoever it's more consistent in the end of the season.
You know, I'm a Warriors fan.
And at the beginning of the season, I had so much hope.
I was like, no way.
Steph's going to get his fifth ring, like 100%.
We were first in the West, whatever.
Now we're all the way down to eighth in the West.
This season has been crazy, crazy up and downs.
It's like, you never know.
I think the team was playing bad at the beginning of season.
Yeah, starting off.
And now, you know, we're wrong.
I mean, coming off the cup winning, exactly.
Okay, do you want to go back to Most Improved player?
Yeah, most improved player.
Do you have any names?
Do you have anybody?
I'll tell you.
I mean, there's a lot.
You could say Jalen Williams, I think, is someone you could say,
Scotty Pippin Jr.
You could say, I, my prediction at the beginning of the season,
unfortunately was, it was a bad one.
It was Brandon Pajamski from the Warriors who is a great player.
I can see why you said that, though.
I can see why you said that because, you know, you know, it's not.
But I do like Joe and William Williams.
I do feel like, we're talking about a certain person, OKC, right?
Yes, OKC.
Well, you know there's two Jalen Williams on OKC, but we're talking about this.
Yeah, there's him.
The 21 points per game, right?
Yes, exactly.
Wow, look at that stat.
Yeah.
So I did see him play.
I do feel like we kind of, it's crazy.
I told him something last year, the two years ago, he reminds me of a player specifically.
And he was laughing.
He smiled.
He was like, hey, that's the comparison.
I feel like you could do that on defensive end.
He reminds me of Drew Holiday.
Slow nose alarm.
Yeah, yeah.
He reminded me with Drew Holliday.
This is everything.
Everything.
It wasn't just his game, just like he's...
The vibe.
His body type, he's way, he's nonchalance, his face, everything.
He reminded me of Drew Holiday and I told him, I was like, hey, listen, you got to go look at the person that nobody's looking and the person who's actually signing after signing big after big, after big contract without nobody really realizing like this guy has, like, maybe.
like maybe top 10 career endings in the NBA, you know,
and always consider that I derated.
You know, so like you want to really have good examples.
And I thought, you know, I don't know how he saw it,
but I did tell him that.
Yeah, it's interesting that you say that, you know,
always considered underrated because I've been asking the question,
you know, I've probably been doing slow knows for about three years now
since I was 13, 14, and I've always asked the question,
who's the most underrated player in the league?
And people always say Drew Holiday, and it's like,
how has he been underrated for that?
that long.
Yeah, okay.
Some point is going to stop, obviously.
It's like gold medal NBA championship.
At what point are people going to stop saying he's underrated?
So I'll tell you why it is.
The reason he's underrated because he doesn't come off like this like mega super star.
Yes, he's not like a flexer.
But he does have, no, no.
So this is the thing about like super and mega start.
Like it's not like he's a flex or down the flex.
I don't know.
the word correctly, but those players just don't.
Like, it's just players who are known, like, across the globe.
Like, it's players who go across the globe and they know.
And they're recognized, yeah.
Right?
And I think, like, you know, he's in not that tier.
So because he's not in that tier, he's considered out there rated,
because what he does sometimes at some point,
it gives you those kind of moments, though.
I also think another thing is, I remember when Drew was called up
to the Team USA for the Olympics and people were like,
really Drew Holiday over Jalen Brunson and all these people,
But if you don't know the game, you don't understand how much of an impact he can make.
Like, he's the heart of so many teams.
He's incredible on defense.
He has incredible court vision.
And people fail to see that because they only see the big windmill dunks in the deep threes.
And they don't understand that it's a team.
It's a team sport for a reason.
And guys like that are as vital as a Steph Curry who can hit the last three, you know?
Yeah, man.
That's why you see him.
He always played.
And he always had to, like, vital role teams.
And this is the thing about, like I said, like before, you know, guys coming out of college is the same thing.
guys, you know, being a start in your team and then you go to another team that's a super
team. Yeah. And then that's how you got to, then you got to be some, you got just got to be
different for you to be able to play, you know, how LeBron is and Katie and stuff like that and, you know,
and Steph. Yeah. They're just different. That's why they're going to play. That's all it is.
If you cannot be that different, like really separate yourself above others.
It's going to be hard for you to play. Yeah. Totally. Okay. So now I want to move on to a section.
where I want to get to know your brothers a little bit more in depth, right?
So you have, including yourself, there's five brothers, right?
Francis, Kosas, Alex, Janus, and Thanassus.
And four of the five brothers have played professional basketball, three in the NBA.
And Francis played soccer.
He played soccer, right?
He took another path.
Okay.
So I'm going to ask you some questions, and you're going to tell me which brother this applies to.
Are you ready?
Yeah.
Okay.
Which brother is the funniest?
I'm between course.
It depends.
Okay.
And I know it sounds crazy, but it depends because we're all, we're all, I want to say, it's a harder thing to say.
We're all funny.
Okay.
But I think if I had to pick on between Alex and Costas, those two, yeah, I think they're younger and they're just like, you know, I think they're they can, they have everything in their arsenal, you know, from humor to dark humor.
They like everything, they have everything in their arsenal.
Which of the best brothers is the, sorry,
which of the brothers is the best overall athlete?
Overal athlete?
Me.
Okay.
No, seriously.
No, it's true.
You could be like a tight end.
But you know, something changed my mind.
Oh, what was it?
It was two, three years ago.
Something changed my mind.
Then I picked, it's crazy.
Then I picked Jan, Janis.
Because I saw him run track.
It was running track.
At the same time, I was like 11, like 10.
I think it was like 11.
something for like 100 meters.
I was like,
he's seven feet.
And I'm like,
okay,
but then,
but then I change my mind again
because I see Kossus
and Kossus has this like
48
vertical
so it's like overall,
but for the longest.
Well,
it's fair to say you as one of the most
athletic families on Earth.
For the longest,
I always was like,
no,
I'm,
to combine everything.
Yeah,
strong,
explosive,
jumping,
um,
lateral,
and like fast Twitch.
Yeah.
Okay.
Benetty.
Which of the brothers is the best cook?
The best cook?
I mean, it's not like we go out there.
Yeah, you could also say none of you.
Yeah, none of like, no, really.
I mean, I would say maybe, Custas, maybe.
Maybe.
I could see more of a group, like, you know, maybe him.
Okay.
I feel like you guys maybe aren't like chefs.
No, we're definitely not.
You more just get the food.
for you.
No, yeah.
Yeah.
Which of your brothers has the best style?
What?
You?
This is, no, this is, of course, of course me.
But if you see us in a setting, you'd see while we're brothers, like, we all like kind of
Have similar style.
What do you guys call this?
A little bit swag, a little bit of-
ORA.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
ORA, ORA, okay.
Who takes the longest to reply to a text?
Who takes the longest?
Mm-hmm.
I think the youngest.
like the young guys, I think either Costas or Alex.
Yeah, that makes sense.
I feel like that's me too.
I want to say costas, maybe.
Because my problem is I see the text and I read it.
And then I'm like, oh, I'll reply later.
And then it's like been like a week.
And I'm like, oh, my God, I never responded to my mom.
Yeah, it's bad.
It has to be costas.
He's like.
Who, which of the brothers is the best dancer?
The best dancer?
Mm-hmm.
I mean, we don't brag there, break dance or have any, like, competition or stuff like that.
But like, I wouldn't say the young, like, listen, I wouldn't say the younger.
I want to say like either cost or so Alex, let's give it to them.
Okay, okay.
Okay, this is very random.
But when I was in second grade or third grade,
we had a project to sort of learn how to take care of like a pet, right,
where they gave us a water balloon to a group of kids.
And they basically saw which kids could keep it like intact the longest and not pop it.
I'm curious, if you gave all of your brothers that water balloon,
who would protect it like the most?
Who wouldn't let it pop?
So I think it all depends because like,
we are very very like
we're boys and men
so it's kind of like we're very leader
like if you give us a balloon
I don't care
a little longer if it's a balloon
if it's a kid
no no if it's a kid that's
that's a that's
that's part of that's the
that's the pack
that's part of that nobody's
is doing nothing
to that kid
to that kid
yeah but if it was to like a
like a pet
pet I would say cost us maybe
probably costas is more of a pet
like you know
pet guy
Yeah. Okay, which of your brothers is the biggest mama's boy?
I think it's between Janice and Alex.
Yeah, baby, yeah.
I'm curious to see if I get one of your other brothers on here,
if they have different answers.
Yeah, they'll probably do it because they, you know,
they see life differently.
Yeah, different perspective.
Totally.
Okay.
Now we're going to move into a little bit of a rapid fire section.
I mean, I, I call my mama's boy.
Yeah, okay, you're a mama's boy.
Yeah.
What is your favorite clothing brand?
Favorite clothing brand?
Obviously, Nike and our brand.
Nike, like, we're obviously in our band.
Like I did the Kubros brand.
Yes.
Okay.
Those are the two brands I'll be rocking with.
But to be honest with you, so many new brands that are coming out.
And like I'm more of, usually not like fashion and stuff like that.
But at the same time, I like to like kind of like promote people too.
Yeah, underground stuff.
Yeah.
So in the past three years.
I'm into fashion a lot.
I have a lot of people who send myself and I just wear them and just wear them and
really tell them like my feedback on what I think.
But the same time I just promote it too because it doesn't nothing.
Yeah, totally.
What is your favorite food?
I mean Greek food and African food and Nigerian food.
Okay, what is your go-to cheat meal?
After a game you play well, what are you getting?
I'm getting pasta, broccoli, mushrooms,
mushrooms, parmesan, and lemon oil.
Wow, that's so specific.
Usually people are like Chick-fil-A and McDonald's, you have such a specific,
you like bougie food, I feel like.
No, I don't like bourgeois, but I just like fuel.
Like, I'm about to run and I'm about to, you know, I need to be good.
If you could make the Olympics for one sport other than basketball, what sport would it be?
Track.
Okay.
Track, when I say track, you could be the long jump, high jump.
Anything within the realm of track.
Okay, gotcha.
What is your favorite movie?
Wow.
I know I'm really asking the hard-in-quest.
You know, because I do have, like, franchises that I love from, like, the Matrix to Harry Potter.
And, like, I do, like, have franchises.
Now I love Dunes, the franchise of Dune.
Like, I'm obsessed now with that.
But, like, if I complete one movie, I'll pick the Godfather, whichever one.
That's my dad's favorite movie, too.
What is your favorite video game?
Favorite video game.
I used to play a lot,
not FIFA, but ProVolution Soccer, PS.
I used to play that game a lot with my brothers.
But then, you know, the next game is taken.
It's playing a game.
Do you still play, like, video games a lot,
even though you're an adult?
I mean, I don't, I don't think those two go ahead in hand in hand
because you have people making like millions playing.
True, true, true.
Playing.
But I think I would say I, after COVID, I've tried to really not, no, do really now play it because people just, this is what people do.
Just sit down and stay in front of a camera and play all day.
So I want to do the total opposite.
I want to, you know, with the limited time that I have, I want to like do stuff.
I want to, you know, visit places.
Play video games, yeah, totally.
Do you have any hidden talents?
Hidden talents?
Not really.
I mean, I don't.
I'm sure you do.
Okay.
well. We'll revisit. What is your dream vacation destination? That's a tongue twister.
Yeah. So I do want to visit Brazil, Japan, which is this place I'm in the two places I'm
too. I want to go so badly. I just love their culture and like obviously, and I'm a big fan of anime
and stuff like that, but I do love their culture. If you would to describe your style in one word,
what would it be? Well, okay, English word and then a Greek word.
word? I don't have a word. I'm like a chameleon. I could wear anything. Okay, Camelian, that's your
perfect. Okay, now say it in Greek.
Hameleodas. Wow, cool. Can you teach me how to say that?
Second? Teach me how to say that.
Hame. Hame. Laodas. Leodas.
Leodas. Hame leodas. So it's hame. Just use the word hame and then go with the word lion,
like leodas. Hame leodas. Yes. Yep, look at me. I'm basically fluent in Greek at this point.
What is your go-to emoji?
It's either fire or the emoji with the stars for eyes.
That's my favorite.
I always use that one.
What is your favorite candy?
Wow, so many candy fans.
I always gave me this kind of boxes with like all this rare candy.
Yeah, okay.
I'm so curious because I always used to see that on Janice's Instagram stories
where he just has those giant boxes of candy.
I'm like, where did you get that from?
I want it.
I love candy.
We'll send you some boxes for sure.
Oh, thanks.
Okay, good.
I'll send you some boxes with the company.
Just let me know what you need.
All, candy.
Literally all.
Today, before this episode, my friend and I went to CVS,
we bought like 10 bags of candy and we made a candy salad,
all of it and basically just ate it.
Like, that's literally, I love candy.
We got you.
Okay, good, good, good.
Just rare candy, but I think I'm, um,
I can't pick specifically now, but I would say, like,
jellos, like jellies, I'd say, yeah.
Not shower pads, but like, yeah.
That vibe.
Okay.
Who is the most famous person in your contacts?
Wow.
That's crazy.
Who's the most famous person?
I don't know how to answer this because, like...
Yeah, I'm sure you have a lot of famous people.
No, I'm saying, okay, take, so...
Okay, take the family out of it.
Wow.
And I've got to pick somebody not, not like...
How do, what's defining famous for me?
Oh, I see what you're...
Okay, well, just list them the famous people in your context.
You don't know how to say, like, the most famous.
Because there's different types of fame, right?
Actors.
singers, athletes.
It's,
hold on, let me see.
Okay, we're pulling out the phone, guys.
We're pulling out the phone.
Maybe just most famous follower,
if that's easier?
Hold on.
Let me check.
The Nas is taking this seriously.
I am taking this seriously.
His context is just basically like the A list
and like People Magazine's top people
and he just wants to.
No, it's not top people.
Do we, is it basketball?
Okay.
Is it?
What is it?
I don't know.
It could be anyone.
Just the most.
famous like if you have LeBron artist yeah could be an artist I don't
I'm not gonna put basketball because you could be yeah sure let's just eliminate
basketball okay we're eliminating basketball okay eliminate basketball so others like
actors singers I better not boy mm okay there we go there we go vert a boy you
don't want to call him you obviously call him I'm not gonna you guys aren't boys
like that we didn't you know what it's so crazy I know for sure I think he would be he would
pick up yes well I mean yeah he's got him to call from thanassas
no no no no it's not because that not because of that it's because I'm a good kid in general
like I because of that but okay but uh yeah no for sure for basketball wise but we all know
each other so we don't think you know I don't think that's considered oh famous to you
well maybe famous to us yeah mm-hmm okay who is your celebrity look like
uh well I got this celebrity somebody will okay so celebrity who looks like you
Yes.
D.K. Metcalf.
Crazy, right?
That's so funny.
You know how many times?
This is crazy.
I had some memes that people say,
like,
we've never seen D.K.
Athanasians in the same room.
I was like, guys.
That's so funny.
I really see that.
That's a really good one.
Okay.
Lastly, what's your favorite podcast?
You know, is D.
D.K. Mack.
I said somebody else.
Sorry.
And what's his name?
Brown, brown, brown, brown,
black, tech, tech.
What's,
wait, is he, is he, is this an athlete?
No.
He reviews tech.
He does his,
used for technology.
Techno.
Marcus Brownie.
I've heard that before, too.
He's also, okay.
But, D.K., D.K.
I see that one.
Okay.
Lastly, what is your favorite podcast?
I favorite podcast to listen to?
No, just your favorite podcast, Massas.
I'm sending you up.
I'm, I'm, giving you an hour you pronounce.
Slow nose.
No, but slow nose, but how do you, do you have, is it the slow nose show or the slow nose podcast?
It's just slow nose.
Slow nose.
That's just the vibe.
That's my favorite podcast.
Yeah, exactly.
Two and in.
Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers.
And guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And we were thinking I'm originally calling it.
One of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers was...
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas,
and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day and head writer Streeter Seidel

We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.

Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all,

All right, so now we're, like we said, slow nose, right?
But does the NASA snow? I don't know.
Look at that. I'm just really using that word big time.
I'm going to ask you trivia, Thanastas, about yourself.
About me?
Let's see if you can do this.
All right.
How many Greek players have there ever been in NBA history?
Okay, let me see.
I'll just count it right now.
Okay.
We need to put the really fast filter on this one.
You know, just like all your fans.
Yeah, I'll just count on.
He's locked in.
I want to say 10 to 11.
19.
19?
Yeah.
Tell me the names.
I don't have the names on here, but we'll get them for you after this.
We'll read them.
Please get them.
I know at least 11, 12 of them for sure.
Maybe the other...
I know at least 11 to all of them.
Like, I can just give you the names.
Okay, let's go for it.
Papa Giannis Papa Nicolau.
Cufos, Kalathis.
Jians Focci's.
Spanol.
Yeah.
Spanoulis.
Then it's Jan Scors Alex.
Okay, so that's what we have to Mark.
We'll look it up.
We'll get you the whole list.
All right, so in your D-League debut with the 87ers, which is such a funny name.
87-year.
How many points did you score?
I can't remember probably, like, I want to say I'm close to...
It's between 8 to 12.
Close.
14.
14? Yeah.
Captain Charles.
14 points.
Look at you.
In Canton?
Was that?
Oh, yeah.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
That was going to be my other question.
Who did you play?
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
So you made your NBA debut in 2016.
Yeah.
What team did you play against and who is the leading score of that game?
Shoo.
Yeah.
I'm really asking you the big ones.
Wow.
So okay.
So you were on the Knicks.
I'm on the Knicks.
Is it either two teams?
And Utah is either the Warriors?
Okay.
or the Phoenix Suns
It is one of those two teams
I'm not going to tell you
Is either the Warriors or the Phoenix Suns?
And
one of the games
Was this Steph?
One of the games?
Well, it's not the Warriors
So not the Warriors, okay
It's the Phoenix Suns
Oh my God, okay
It was the Phoenix Suns
And
Was you Melo?
Who was the Texas?
Okay, Carmelo had 19
but Devin Booker had 21.
Devin had 21?
Yes.
Uh-huh.
Okay.
That was close, though.
That was close.
So far, you really haven't gotten any points, but I'm going to be nice.
So I'll give you, like, a few fake points.
Because you've been close, you know?
And I feel bad.
Okay.
So when you played for BC and Dora, you played a huge role on the team.
And you got them out of their playoff drought of how many years?
Wow.
Yeah.
I didn't remember that because I remember when I first went to Spain and I went there to play for them.
They were like, hey, we haven't been in the playoffs.
We want to make the Kings Leaks Cup.
In a while, exactly.
How long, though.
Wow.
I don't know, I want to say like, I don't know, five years, 10 years?
No, 22 years.
22 years?
Oh my God.
Oh, there you go.
Yeah, look at you, Finassas.
That was Vita.
That's all finesse.
Thank you.
Thank you.
First of all, I want to shout out to Andorra.
So, Mung Paix.
I love you guys.
You guys.
Oh la Andorra.
Amazing fans, by the way.
Really?
Yeah.
I love Spain.
Okay, so.
It's actually won an award in Spain.
Yes, I saw, right?
Isn't it called Most Spectacular Player instead of Most Valuable?
Yeah.
And I was shocked when I won it because I remember
told me to go to travel to Madrid.
I was like, why am I going to this place?
And it's because you were the most spectacular.
No, no.
Yeah, but I think it was just like, I think they wanted to set a representative from every
team.
And then when I went there, they were like, hey, we actually wanted to surprise me because
you actually won.
But they didn't want to tell me what I won.
So I was like, you didn't know what it was.
But it was good.
Most spectacular player, I mean, I was good.
Also, most spectacular player is such a better name, the most valuable
player.
Like, that's like, so cool.
That gives you so much aura.
I love that.
Okay, next trivia question.
During the 2023 Basketball World Cup,
How many rebounds did you average?
World Cup?
Oh my God.
How would I?
I mean, it was four, it was four games.
I don't know.
Three rebounds?
Three?
Three.
It was five.
It was literally four or five games.
We literally, yeah.
Three rebounds.
I like to ask the most random questions possible.
Like, I'm not going to ask about how many points because you could know that.
Yeah.
Okay.
So including you and Janus, who played on the same team, which is really cool.
How many pairs of bros?
brothers in NBA history have ever played on the same team?
On the same team?
Yes.
Obviously, there's been so many brothers in the league,
but on the same team is a much smaller number.
I know four for a fact.
Okay.
But I don't think the number is four.
It has to be more, right?
It's the NBA, so it has to be more.
Okay.
So I'll double that eight.
Yes.
Woo!
Yeah.
And you know that when Brooke and Robin Lopez,
when they were playing together, they were you and Yon
who are also on the team.
So it's crazy.
Two of those pairs were at the same time.
Morris brothers as well and Gordon Draghi's brothers as well.
Yes, exactly.
So I knew those four.
That's a great segue into our last final.
Thank you, thank you.
Question, than asks us.
How many pairs of brothers are there currently in the NBA?
And can you name them?
Currently in the NBA?
Holidays?
Yes.
McDaniels.
Yes.
So that's two.
Just give me a hint.
How many more are they?
Oh, you just want me to.
Just hint, hint, hint.
Oh, okay.
Well.
I'll tell you, I'll tell you which ones are there.
Wait, watch this.
I'm going to do some crazy math in my,
okay, wait, wait, okay.
So there's, wait.
Just give me the number.
I'll tell you who will that,
no,
because I need you to,
oh, you want to guess the number.
You have to guess the number.
You have to guess the number.
Oh, got you, got you.
I was going to give you a long, like math.
Wait, now I want to think of that.
Okay, no, no, I'll give you the numbers.
So I'm going to nine years,
holidays,
Wagner,
three.
Yes.
To speed the process up,
I'm going to tell you that it's a much
bigger number than three. Okay. Yeah. Wow. I'm, I'm, wow, it's people I'm missing right now.
There's a few that are fairly obvious, but it's, it's confusing because you don't always think
of them in this way. Meaning, Morris, Morris? Is Morris? Well, yes, but they're twins. That's
obvious. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, Morris, obviously, but I just didn't say it because I saw
it, I said it, I said it before. Yeah. So it's more, way, so it's more, way more, so it's more,
way more than like eight?
Yes.
Not way, it's...
It's close to...
So it's 10?
No.
What is it?
14.
14?
Do you want me to read them or do you want to give guessing?
So I'll guess the...
So I get the number is 14.
I'll guess the cup.
So we said Magdaeons.
Yep.
We said Wagner.
Mm-hmm.
We said...
What else do we say?
Morris.
Mm-hmm.
I'm going down the list of every team and every...
Is it Mowbli?
Yes.
Mowgli's exactly.
Good one.
That was a big poll.
Okay.
That was,
I went straight to the back for that one.
I went straight to the bag.
So that's four.
So we got ten more.
Yes.
Holidays.
Yes, holidays.
Sorry,
okay, holidays.
I don't know.
Give me 30 seconds.
Okay.
You take this trivia very seriously.
I appreciate it.
Everything.
I take everything.
That's how you win.
That's how you win.
Yeah, winner's mentality.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Why am I stuck right now?
It's a West.
Give me the Aes-Wes.
There's brothers in both.
No, I'm saying which one of the more...
Oh, my God.
Okay.
Mostly.
West.
West.
Jones?
Yes.
Correct.
Good, good.
I'm there.
I'm in a good headspace.
I'm there.
Someone we talked about earlier on the show.
We talked like a whole...
For like two minutes about him.
He has a brother.
In the beginning of the...
We're talking about him.
Remember we were talking about, like, the most improved player.
Oh, Jimmy Williams.
Yeah.
Cody Williams, the brother.
I didn't know Cody was his brother.
The Nasus, they look exactly alike.
Okay, well, they're brothers.
Okay.
I don't know if they look.
They're not.
I mean, yeah, okay, that's good.
That's great.
You got your family lead.
That's tough right.
That's big time right there.
Yeah, what was, okay, just give me the name.
Go.
Well, the Lopez is.
The curry.
Yes.
Okay.
Which you didn't,
that's the one I was saying
was really obvious.
Oh, yes, but I don't...
Okay, you don't think what?
No, I thought it was going to be
the new...
But you guys,
I already knew in Lopez,
we just said that.
The Morrisses, the Holidays,
the Martins, the Balls,
the McDaniels, the Mobley's.
Huh?
Martins.
Yeah, you said.
Wait, Caleb and...
Yeah, they're...
Oh, okay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
May Daniels, Mowgli's,
Wognears,
Mourys, Shampognies.
Justin and Julian
the Jones is the Thompson twins
and the Williams.
Williams? Oh my God, this is genetics right there.
Three of those are twins. Pretty exciting.
Genetics right there.
I know genetics, but still your family is the only family to have
other than, no, the holidays have three.
So you have the moat. Look at that.
Good, good for you.
Thank you. Thank you.
Oh, you're leaving me hanging. That's all.
No, no, no. All right, then asks us my final question on Sloan knows.
This has been a fun episode.
Yeah.
Who do you want to nominate to be the next guest?
Who would I want to nominate to be the next year?
You've got to get Shaq here if you haven't already.
Shack?
Okay, I haven't had him yet.
That's a big one.
You should.
You shouldn't.
I think he's fun.
I think he's going to grace the podcast with his presence.
And he knows basketball.
Grace him with his presence.
Yes, he does.
Yes.
And like he's such a down-to-earth guy, so he would do this in a heartbeat.
Yeah, probably.
Okay.
If you want to call him, let me know.
Or if you want to call any other members of your family to be on here, also let me know.
It works for me other way.
You could.
You could get Giannis, post,
whichever one, just fake.
They're all funny.
How about all of them?
What about that?
Look at that.
Okay, look at Vanas and I
are just making business works.
This is great.
Well, thank you guys so much for listening.
Bye.

Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman

We do some retirement homes.

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is, getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is, getting a new one put up in its place.
I'm Akela Hughes, and Rebel Spirit Season 2 is about both of those things.
As I was watching these statues come down, I was thinking about what it meant that I grew up in a majority black city,
in which there were more homages to enslavers than there were to enslave people.
