Starting point is 00:01:27 This is Get At Me with your boy, Tremon Green. And my dog, Baron Davis, was happening. That's actually what this is. This is get at me. This is where we will answer fans' questions. So make sure you shoot your questions. You might get an answer.
Starting point is 00:01:47 I'll take the first one. From Saeed, Syed, Syed, Syed, S-Y-E-D-9-3460. How well would JK fit with Jimmy? I don't know. What I do know is Jimmy kind of know how to play with anybody. and J.K. has a lot of talent, and Jimmy will figure out how to use that talent to the advantage of this team, and we will figure that out.
Starting point is 00:02:13 So I don't know how well they'll fit, but I do know at some point they will because they'll figure it out and making it work. But we're looking forward to getting them back for sure. All right, from Solo Sequoio, Sequoia. Sequoia. All right, never mind. From at S-O-L-O-S-I-K-O-A. Sequo-C-O-A-S-C-C-O-A. Solo, Sequoia? All right, I heard Draymond mentioned another day that Orlando was one of Steps Top Five Small Market Arena's to play in.
Starting point is 00:02:52 What are or were your guys' top five smaller markets to play in? So you have to understand for us, like when we go to certain places, it ain't like if the Charlotte Hornets go to that place. Like where we go, the Steph Curry show. It's sold out. It's loud. And so we were just discussing like smaller markets and like how, like where we had the most fun smaller markets.
Starting point is 00:03:21 And one of them was like every time we play in Orlando, it's a good game. Yeah. The fans turn out. Yeah. We always have fun there. Another one we discussed was Washington. Like when we go to Washington, it gets loud, fans be talking trash. It's just something about D.C.
Starting point is 00:03:44 And then also, you know, the years we had Katie on, you're going back to his hometown. Yeah, for sure. So Washington has always been a fun one. Obviously Memphis. Memphis, they crowd. They hate us. Yeah. Absolutely hate us.
Starting point is 00:04:03 So it's always fun to go play there. A smaller market team that, again, I'm not sure what Memphis attendance is, you know, the nightly. But I know when we go there, always sold out, always super loud, always rowdy. And so that was another one of the favorites. The last two were Indiana. Yeah. Indiana is all right. We bring up lit.
Starting point is 00:04:34 That's a good one. And it was one more. Portland. Like, we've had battles in Portland, obviously, in the play. You know, we have a lot of fun in that arena. We've spent a bunch of time there. And so those were kind of our top five arenas that we'd like to play in in the smaller markets, you know, not the state, not the TV guard,
Starting point is 00:04:58 not as a square guard. And the smaller market, like those were our top five. I played in smaller markets. So, you know, love Indiana, love Portland, going out west of Portland. Milwaukee was always crazy rivalry. I don't know if Miami is a small market, but I consider Miami small. And then I would say Dallas, you know, Dallas was always jumping, you know. But we play, I play for New Orleans, Charlotte, Cleveland.
Starting point is 00:05:30 Cleveland was rocking too. Cleveland is a greater arena, a great place to play too. Yeah. Cleveland is great for us as well. It's just special, though. You know what I'm saying? We have championships in there. So that kind of goes in a little different category for us.
Starting point is 00:05:49 It's always knit for sure. But we got a different thing with Cleveland. You know what I'm saying? Like you play somewhere, somebody four years in a row in the NBA finals. They see us every year. We see them. We know they go. we're going to see them.
Starting point is 00:06:01 They know they're going to see us. It's just a different thing there. So I don't really put them in that category, although they're a small market because it's just a different level of, like, special in that arena. Yeah, no, I get it. At 23 Isaiah 08 said,
Starting point is 00:06:20 talk about, talk about Braun calling out the media for protecting 89s era, especially to market and go MJ, and hating on today's generation of talents, especially, I think media as a whole was just different back then. People weren't getting TV slots because they could talk the most trash about somebody or figure out how they could shit on somebody else's name today.
Starting point is 00:06:45 Like, and how much controversy they can keep up. Like, that just wasn't what was being sold. Back then, media was building the game up. They were telling stories. They were learning how to market the game. And they were doing it from a space of, trying to grow this product, how do you best do that? Today, the game is grown outrageously, and it's just not the same.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Like, media gets attention for the hottest take they can make. No one checks facts anymore as who can say. You know what I mean? It's just the whole media climate. And so, you know, social media, right? Like, I think there's a lot of differences between the 80s and 90s, but I do agree that a lot, that's why it'd be funny to me a lot of times when you get. get like guys who came up during that time or were of that time and then they start saying stuff.
Starting point is 00:07:35 I'm like, they were in a sense protected, but also protected by the reach of the league. The reach of the league wasn't as big as it is today. And so, you know, I think most media just take the easy way out. And that is what is the hottest take I can make. and not you know a lot of media don't know the game no more you know what I'm saying so yeah it's not yes you know what it is it's the fans have a voice and so all like back when I play you know it was you had to make a name for yourself you come out of college you make a name for yourself so players already had a built-in fan base and a loyal fan base
Starting point is 00:08:25 based on the school the energy that they came from the media was really focused on the biggest stories and the biggest stars. And all the conversation around a fan, Hayden, or somebody hating on you or a high take, you had to go to the arena and shout that out to one of the players to get that off. Or if you see them in a club or you see them at a grocery store, yeah, try your chances, but there was no phones or, you know, now people can quickly pick up any media source and be first,
Starting point is 00:08:59 to respond, right, or first to create something. And when they create that asset, now you got every fan, whether a good fan or a bad fan, they're just having dialogue on these platforms. So the problem with the media is, yes, there is a hate of today's generation. It's not really a hated today's generation. It's a hot take, right? Because people want to hot take today's generation. Instead of figuring out ways to tell a story,
Starting point is 00:09:32 like I want to know more of the stories behind these players so I can love them or fall in love with their game more, understand, but everything is existing on the hot take. And we grew up in an era where stories were told. So you bought into the person based on the story and who they were, and then you appreciated their game, and then you love their game for what they do. Today, you're just following people because of what the algorithm is telling,
Starting point is 00:09:58 than it's telling you to do. I agree 100%. All right. March Madness is starting next week. How far do you have your Spartan dogs going? I can tell you they're not going to make the tournament. They're not getting in this year.
Starting point is 00:10:14 It's okay. And that's from Arena of the Mine. Who's not getting in the tournament this year? Yeah, I'm not getting in. Brother, we're about to be a onceie. What are you talking about? In the tournament? What? What?
Starting point is 00:10:29 You realize? One seat. You realize who you talk to? We're 15 and 3 in the Big Ten. Oh, for real? Y'allie. Do you realize who you're talking to? I went to Michigan State.
Starting point is 00:10:43 You're going to lose in the second round. You do realize I went to Michigan State. I think you might have me confused with, like, I went to Michigan State. And it's Mark. I played for time. It's a mark. Second round.
Starting point is 00:10:57 We're never losing a second round. This is the year. If we win the first game of the weekend, we're winning the second game. You're getting out that weekend, huh? It is tell you. You win me the first game. I win you the second game. So second round is just you not knowing again.
Starting point is 00:11:18 So I'm going to help you out. If you want a successful bracket, you better have Michigan State at least in your final four. I am, no Then bet something No, I don't know I'm talking Yeah, let's do a bracket I bet you we've
Starting point is 00:11:34 You know what? Trash as UCLA I don't know what C we're gonna get My arms is By the way You're making me turn into this person I actually love UCLA
Starting point is 00:11:43 I love UCLA We love UCLA We live right of the street Hey man We're in the big 10 now We're rivals But just stop
Starting point is 00:11:53 We are not Stop. I mean, yeah, y'all can't even compare. Yeah, you can't be rivals to us. We can't, the big dogs came into the big ten. Y'all ain't done nothing meaningful since John Wooden. He coached his last. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:12:11 He coached his last game 40 years ago. Come on, man. He coached his life. Disrespective Bruins. But John Wooden coached his last. Like I said that. Would you say that to Kavon Looney? he knows absolutely not
Starting point is 00:12:26 right it don't matter if offer got fired from Iowa Steve Offer was not the right right guy I'm saying like I ain't gonna lie we need us a Tom is on maybe Earl Watson
Starting point is 00:12:44 we need a top basketball we need like a we need somebody to be there for 20 years if I got to go back I'll do it I'll become the Tom is The bronze. Listen. We would smack,
Starting point is 00:12:56 UCL. I mean, we would smack Michigan State if I was a country, UCLA. Bro, we would beat us on some food stuff this year, but. 30, 30. 30. Only fluky. 30.
Starting point is 00:13:08 30. 30. 30. Probably felt the son. Felt God a little soft. We used to be in the phone. You're not the same Michigan State no more. It won't happen again.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Y'all not the same Michigan State no more. y'all better hope we y'all I don't even know if y'all gonna make the big 10 tournament the tournament come on dude you have to make the big 10 we made it we what fourth fifth in the big 10th are y'all that high I doubt it's taking fourth and fifth anyway we just minor adjustments
Starting point is 00:13:41 away from we can win it we can win down the stretch and that I know we got defense arena Arena of the money. You want a successful Don't do that. You're going to lose your office bracket.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Best sweet 16, maybe a lead eight for you guys. No, no, no. Why you keep moving up? First you said 32, not 16, nine lead eight. Keep going. I do not think Final Four at all.
Starting point is 00:14:12 At all. At all. If y'all go to eight, if y'all go to elite eight, if you're done. But I don't think y'all making it out the second round to be honest. I hope we play your second round too
Starting point is 00:14:24 so we can beat you all again That's a hot take Is that a high take? Very hot. Very hot. Burned up. Which one of those hot takes Are you willing to put your money on?
Starting point is 00:14:40 Or we ain't got to put anything. Since Michigan State is number one C, I bet you Michigan State don't go two rounds past UCLA. And I bet my bracket I bet my bracket And all the fans on my side They're going to agree with my bracket
Starting point is 00:15:04 OVO bracket and we should turn a bracket in We should 100% Because I want to see how much You know If you're going to have Michigan State To win it all being the number one seat You should I mean let us get the number one seat first
Starting point is 00:15:21 We still got to close out this big team It sounds like excuses We'll be drums and said By the way Whether we're one feet or five C We're going to five Four
Starting point is 00:15:32 I ain't tripping on that I'm just Let us get the number one C first because we still need to win We need to win out To get the number one feet But it's saying that I don't care if we're three
Starting point is 00:15:44 We're going to five four You heard it from here Ladies and gentlemen Hot take Michigan State In the final four That's pretty cold They ain't that hot.
Starting point is 00:15:57 Like, that's normal. Just so y'all don't want to see us in retirement. We got your number. God. Y'all not good. Man, we, to the fans that sent in questions, we appreciate y'all to these four that we answered.
Starting point is 00:16:16 Thank you. Excuse me. It wasn't, yeah. To these four that we answered, thank you for submitting those to those that did submit and didn't quite make the show, Please submit further and we will continue to try to cycle through. Get you on the show.
Starting point is 00:16:31 Answer some of your questions. Make sure we're taking care of the fans. We love y'all. We appreciate you. Peace. The volume.
