Hey guys, it's us
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen.
We don't care where you hear it.
Another podcast from some SNL late-night comedy guy,
not quite.
Unhumor me with Robert Smygel and Friends.
Me and hilarious guests from Bob Odenkirk to David Letterman
help make you funnier.
This week, my guest, S&L's Mikey Day and head writer, Streeter Seidel,
help an a cappella band with their between songs banter.
Where does your group perform?
We do some retirement homes.
Those people are starving for banter.
Listen to humor me with Robert Smigel and Friends on the I-Heart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Last night, a blown call changed a game.
This morning, the internet lost its mind, and nobody's telling you exactly what happened.
That's where SportsSlice comes in.
I'm Timbo, and every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the biggest
moments in sports and giving you the real story behind the headline.
And we're going straight to the source, the athletes themselves, their locker room
stories, their reactions in the moment, and the stuff nobody gets to hear.
Listen to SportsClace on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you
you get your podcast. And for more, follow Timbo's Slica Life 12 in the TikTok podcast network on
TikTok. Winning on Clay is an art. The rallies are relentless. And at the French Open, only the toughest
survive. I'd know. I competed there for decades. Join me, Renee Stubbs, on the Renee Stubbs tennis
podcast for no nonsense breakdowns of the biggest matches, the toughest players, and the moments that
define Roland Garris. She's an outsider to win the French win. And she likes Clay.
Listen, Lennar Rabakina is arguably the best player in the world right now, and I actually can win on any surface.

Imagine an Olympics where doping is not only legal, but encouraged.
It's the enhanced games.
Some call it grotesque.
Others say it's unleashing human potential.
Either way, the podcast's Superhuman documented it all, embedded in the podcast.
the games and with the athletes for a full year.
Within probably 10 days, I'd put on 10 pounds.
I was having trouble stopping the muscle growth.

Welcome to the favorites, the podcast presented by Bet365.
We are part of the Volume Podcast Network live from our Tommy John Home Studios.
I am Chad Millman of the Action Network.
This is our Sunday night episode.
We're going to review.
The faves five picks.
We put into the contest.
We're going to dissect why we left games without preview the early lines we already like for week 16.
I'm joined.
As always, by my co-host, my companion, my compadre, my BFF professional better, Simon Hunter.
Hello, Simon.
Hello, Chad.
Well, look.
I'm looking.
Here's the upside.
We avoided our worst instincts.
We did not include the Panthers as short favorites or the Titans as big home dogs or even the
giants as 16.5 point underdogs.
We nearly included the Jags at three and a half, but we avoided that.
However, however, every team we did choose today in what.
is an 0 and 4 start, basically self-destructed at the exact same time, except for the Cleveland
Browns only because they were in the early window.
In a season of bad luck and bad calls, this one was truly special.
I'm going to recap just a couple of them because, like, to do it in each individual game,
almost feels like we're not doing it justice
because you need to absorb them all
to truly understand how epic all this was.
The Lions finally cut it to 10
with 12 minutes left in the third
and the fourth, they go for an onside kick.
The Steelers are driving down 2013
inside the red zone in the third quarter.
Najee Harris just drops a lateral. Eagles go on to score, take a two touchdown lead.
Jonathan Taylor of the Colts. We have the Colts plus four and a half. Just drops the ball
a foot before he crosses the goal line to put the Colts up 20 to 7. They don't score again the
rest of the game. James throws multiple picks into the Chief's end zone. If you haven't
figured it out already, we had the Browns plus four and a half, the six.
Steelers 5 and a half, the Colts 4 and a half, and Detroit, 2 and half in the day games.
Thank God we have Green Bay tonight.
Thank God, like my wife and I have a list of shows we want to watch right now.
Bad Sisters, Lioness, say nothing, no good deed.
Thank God I'm not going to watch this game tonight.
We're going to dig into everything.
Plus the discussion on the Jags, who by the way, probably should have covered,
if not for a meltdown type call by Jeff Ulbrook of the Jets,
which was truly idiotic.

We're going to begin this painful process, Simon.
Kansas City of Cleveland.
So we had the Browns four and a half.
We nearly kicked this one out for Jacksonville this morning.
It really came down to Jacksonville, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh for our final two.
I don't even know.
I mean, there's so much to say.
I just want to get your take before we dig in because I've unloaded so much epically bad beats in the last five minutes.
I got nothing that said.
This is your baby.
I told you, can we just avoid this game?
And you push it all week.
You put it in there.
You got to live with it.
It was, you knew right away too,
was a bad bet where that guy on that first punt fumbling that ball.
It's just, I once you're saying to myself,
why are we even involved in this game?
Why do I have money on this game?
Why do I have to watch this game?
I was cursing your name right from the get-go,
because I just said, I knew we should have just avoided it.
We can't get a read on either of those teams.
We knew the chiefs were eventually gonna be the right side.
And the Browns had just about everything go wrong.
Winston had the Winston game that we fear,
which is can't stop making stupid turnovers
and can't be consistent at all and was just never in rhythm.
And I mean, they benched him what,
midway through or early in the third quarter.
So yeah, terrible game, terrible spot.
The Chiefs long overdue for them just to catch a break
in a game where they get a bunch of turners,
which we talked about it, going to that game,
I think they only had 10 or 11 turnover.
And, yeah, they got a bunch of fumbles, a bunch of interceptions.
It just, it all went the Chiefs way other than obviously the Mahomes injury,
but it seems like he avoided anything serious after getting x-rays done.
So, yeah, just a really ugly, sloppy game.
What did they, went 21 to 7, and the Browns had a kick return.
So it was just like we couldn't get anything going with that Brown's offense.
So it was just a miserable experience to watch.
Well, look, with both Pittsburgh and Kansas City,
we feel like we've been tempting fate.
By continuing to bet on the trance in the case of Kansas City,
fading them as favorites of more than three.
We thought last week was the spot to back Kansas City.
To your credit, to your credit,
when we wrote down the Browns on Tuesday,
your note, I remember I wrote it down,
avoid, it's gross.
I think personally, me and Kevin Stefansky,
we've both been seduced by James.
I don't know if that'll be the case going forward
because Dorian Thompson, Robinson, did take over the game.
The Browns fumbled the first punt of the game.
The Chiefs scored a touchdown off that.
Late in the first half,
James threw in a double coverage in the Chief's end zone
from the Kansas City 35.
It was picked, blowing a scoring chance.
Later in the first half, he made an inaccurate throw to Nick Chubb.
Nick Bolton intercepted.
Chief scored a touchdown.
second half they're driving again.
James throws another pick from the Chiefs 35 into their end zone.
I just feel the Brown's defense, they only gave up.
I think seven points, you know?
And like they scored 14 points off of James' turnovers.
I will say this.
I bet on the Jags at three and a half.
And at 3.30 this afternoon, the Jags were winning and the Browns were down 14.
I still felt like the Browns had a better chance to cover.
I did not, I never believed in the Jags in that game.
Never once did I believe in them.
I just assumed it was going to go badly for them.
Well, it makes you feel better.
You have a terrible read on the board right now,
but you nailed that one then because they were up five,
and I think the action app gave them a 70% chance of covering the three and a half.
And yeah, they're up five with five minutes ago.
And I was not cursing your name, but I was just like,
God damn it, Chad.
Why do you make this so hard?
I just was begging for you for multiple times to take the Browns out and just put the
Jags in because I felt like it was a better number.
But yeah, you got lucky.
You got the gambling gods on your side because that was the fukiest dumb coaching Jets moment
the reason that they covered that number.
We got to talk about that for a second.
I mean, I'm not going to lie to you even though I bet on the Jags in that game.
I was really hoping O'Brick was stupid enough to go for a touchdown.
So I did not have to eat it with the jazz.
Jags cover in that game because what a fucking idiot.
That is like, that is why this team has been failing.
I mean, they've been failing for a lot of reasons.
But the fact that he let them go for a touchdown with a minute five left and the
Jags having two timeouts instead of just kneeling down and making them take the
timeouts and kicking the game winning field go with no time left.
if I made Jags better who like had really gone all in on that I'm watching that like with a
pit in my stomach knowing there's nothing you can do to get out of the way of that it was dumbfounding
truly dumbfounding that's me I bet heavy on it was one of my biggest pets was my biggest bed dog
of the day and uh yeah it sucks but it's like we talk all the time it's we got away with one last week
against the Jets this week by there being idiots in their own right, they somehow covered that
number.
So yeah, just that's, that's betting, baby.
Like, I love it, but it's also, like you just said, it's sickening where as soon as
Devante Adams caught that ball and there's no one around them, it's like, oh, this is
really about to happen.
They're not going to cover this number now.
So, yeah, pretty brutal, no cover.
Pittsburgh at Philadelphia, Steelers were plus five and a half.
This was the other game we nearly kicked out for Jacksonville.
I felt more strongly about this than Cleveland.
It's similar to fading Casey as a favorite.
We like to play Mike Tomlin as a dog, period,
even though he hasn't lost in this spot this year.
And then Jalen just had his best game of the year.
First half, 12 to 13, 146, two touchdowns,
AJ 5 for 65 in a touchdown in the first half.
I will say Jaden still looks bad if he doesn't get his first read.
but this was about
Najee Harris fumbles
can't catch the lateral
the Steelers, the Eagles go down
the Steelers have him third and nine
inside the red zone
they can't tackle gain well
after a four-yard
pass
he gains the first down
they get a touchdown
that's the sort of
end of the game
to me
but that was really frustrating
I just do not get this whole
Chad Millman
is Nick Wright thing you got going on on Gailen Hertz.
It's bizarre a world.
He's bad if he doesn't get his first read.
What the hell are you talking about?
He was 25 of 32.
My favorite was J.
L.L.Hertz was trolling the media,
repeating back to them what they're saying about him,
that if he doesn't have the first read,
he just pulls it down and runs with it.
And Chad thought he was being serious
and was quoting him to people about that.
He's trolling you, Chad.
You don't think he makes the read outside the first read?
Doesn't seem like it.
It didn't seem like it today.
Yeah.
No, he had a great game, but everyone saw that coming.
The book saw it.
We just talked about that.
Line stunk.
Another game I wish we had avoided.
We didn't, but it was another game.
Not that I put it into punish you, but I was like,
Chad needs to have this one in.
He will not get over, not having this one.
If Pittsburgh would have covered,
and I made you have taken it out.
I was like weighing the decision of never hearing the end of it from you,
especially I would thank Chris Raybon.
Once he put it in that Google Doc, I was like, God damn it.
Now it's guaranteed to be in our favor.
five but yeah it just I told I totally saw where you came from right the Tomlin thing about him
covering as a dog but um we both knew that was a fishy line and everything that could have gone
wrong for Pittsburgh basically went wrong in that game right they had a bunch of stupid fumbles
um they were sloppy in a lot of ways and you know even how bad they played it was still 17 13
and a half and I was like maybe we'll get lucky in cover because they played so bad nope they
played even worse in the second half.
So just a total
let down game, letdown spot for them.
And yeah, they have a brutal stretcher.
Now they get the Ravens and then like five days
after that they got to play the Cheaps on Christmas.
It's just a brutal spot
in the schedule for this Pittsburgh team.
There was a point. Again, Chad, say something
nice about Gellon Hertz because
they are clearly a class above
a lot of teams right now in this league.

we created our own podcast called Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say,
Hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad,
Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

You know I love the Eagles.
I've been all over the Eagles.
I love their defense.
May come around on Jalen Hertz.
Thank you.
I haven't loved him this year.
He was excellent today.
He was excellent today.
There was a point.
This all happened within about three minutes.
You talk about the Steelers self-destructing a little bit.
They were finally driving.
They're down 2713, plenty of time in the game to make a comeback.
They kill a drive with a personal foul.
The Lions give up a third.
and four to, I forgot who caught it.
It was a Dawson Knox who was double covered.
The Colts give up a 60-yard hunt return that leads to a Broncos touchdown.
And that was after, oh, then they had the double pass for the pick six.
Let's go on to the Colts because it was so astonishing.
Oh my God, Jonathan Taylor.
We had the Colts four and a half.
They're up 13 to 7.
They're kind of dominating the game.
They'd made Bo Nix look silly.
He had three picks through three quarters.
They hadn't been able to get any offense going.
Neither had the Colts.
Like Anthony Richardson was truly terrible.
Average less than three yards per attempt in the first half.
but Jonathan Taylor breaks a big one
and then what happens
but no
before you get to that though
you're sure right about the Bo next thing
is that he had three picks
like the fact that
we had a game that went exactly
what we said we thought was going to happen right
that he would be sloppy
and the coach's defense would step up
that I didn't even know he threw
through picks I knew he had a couple of picks
but three picks and we don't even get close to that cover
but yeah the Jonathan Taylor
walking touchdown untouched
It was that thing too where they keep cutting back to it on TV where it's like what are they even reviewing here?
He wasn't even touched and it's like oh my God, did he let go of the ball?
Now they showed the angle.
I didn't get, I never saw the angle of what they were talking about of him actually releasing the ball for they crossed the line.
But clearly they must have found some TV angle with that on camera.
And yeah, we went from being up 20 to 7 to 13, 7 to bone X.
to, yeah, I was gonna say, it's 13, 10,
to, again, Bo Nix is still doing nothing,
and Shrain Stuyken calls some bizarre plays,
and that pass a back across field in that spot was just,
and like the announcers were like, well,
they needed to do something, it's like, why?
Why did they need to do something there?
It's like, I don't know, even if, even,
maybe that was at 1713, I forget with the exact score
at that point, but it was just a very bizarre play call
and like you just said, once that happened,
you're down with Anthony Richardson against a defense that is pretty good at rushing the
passer and getting pressure.
And yeah, he burned us.
Another game, I think, let's look at the numbers.
He's 17 of 38 passed in Anthony Richardson.
So, yeah, not where we want to be when we're backing him.
No.
As soon as when they were down 2413, I'm like, this is kind of over, like, unless they got
another Jonathan Taylor, ready to get open.
I'm like, yeah, this is not going to go our way.
I just want to see where did that game's over.
Anthony Richardson ended up with seven carries.
And 46 rushing yards.
Kudos to Billy Ward because Billy Ward had a negative correlation parlay,
a plus 450 for Anthony Richardson,
over 45 and a half rushing yards,
but under nine and a half rushing attempts,
it's like one of three bets that I won today,
was that bet.
And he got 23 of those yards on the first drive of the game
when he scored a 23-yard rushing touchdown.
And the Colts, you just said it, like,
they were perfect through two and a half, three quarters.
and like the wheels came off after that Jonathan Taylor play.
Like they just,
they completely lost their composure and gave the game.
They just gave it away.
Like they had that game.
That double pass for a pick six.
Are you freaking kidding me?
There were so many crazy coaching decisions today.
Ulbrick, not kicking the field goal.
Dan Campbell, going for the on-site kick.
the double pass that leads to a pick six like what happened today it was so weird it was but it's
also i mean like we talked about that just there's some games where um not that three quarters are
meaningless but like you just said that the colds dominated that game for three quarters and
one or two little plays went sideways and they completely flipped the entire game and you know credit
to Denver, like I should say that, Bo Nix had three picks. They somehow overcame that,
which again is mind-blowing. Like the fact that they were able to overcome that when you can
just, you know, it was like that Tennessee game. Like, when we were betting on these bad
quarterbacks, they just have these explosive moments where they just have meltdowns for a
quarter and it completely flips the whole games. So, yeah, pretty brutal day for betting these ugly
dogs. Bo Nix was so bad in the first half while Anthony Richardson completed less than
than three yards per pass attempt.
Bo Nix only completed 3.5 yards per pass attempt.
So he was atrocious and still figured out a way to win that game,
thanks to some really bad decision-making and poor mental errors
on the part of the Indianapolis cults.
Buffalo at Detroit, as we continue our journey down, torture lane.
I mean, Jesus.
Detroit, two and a half.
I don't know about you, but after that first half,
I kind of felt like Detroit still could be in it.
The bills were perfect,
and the lions were not,
and yet the lions were only down seven,
and then the bills came out,
and within the first 90 seconds,
scored a touchdown.
I'm like, all right, well, there's a dead bet.
Yeah, I mean, it's stuff to say.
like never totally gave up but the issue for me was just Josh Allen we've already talked about this year he's been
probably the best second half quarterback in all football like he's just been dominant in the second
half and um you know him and joe brady the adjustments they make against the the teams they play
is just special and they're they're they're just clicking at a really high level right now and um
Yeah, golf didn't have his A game.
Dan Calvin had his A game.
And we joked that wasn't come down to fourth downs.
And it kind of did, right?
That was Josh Allen capitalizing on fourth downs and big plays.
So, yeah, I bet that unfortunate wish it was three because at three, we both talked about how we liked taking the bill side.
And we probably would have got there with it.
But at two and a half, you know, probably not the best decision, I guess, looking back now because we talked about this line's defense.
the injuries were gonna catch up to them
and we talked about, we thought it was being the playoffs,
where they're facing really good offenses.
And we've seen that now tonight and last week against Green Bay.
It's gonna be interesting watching this team going forward
where it's like, you saw it today too,
where they had to call up Josh Adams to play,
or Jamal Adams, I should say.
And it's like, you know, when you see those moments,
you're just like, this is scary back
in this team right now as a favorite,
but we knew what the deal was heading going into it,
that if Josh Allen kept playing like,
he is playing. We were going to get burned and
you know, we just, we haven't seen something like this before. This guy is just playing
at this insanely high level right now. And yeah, it's, it's
pretty scary going against them, betting wise.
The Lions just scored a touchdown
on a two point conversion. They're down
six with 12 seconds left. No, they just kick an extra point, but yeah.
Oh, is that what it was? Uh, all right, so it's 48, 42.
Think if they hadn't done that
onside kick. Would it be a different game? Like, you don't know. But that seven points that the
bills then scored immediately put this game into a different trajectory. It's astonishing. The only
thing the bills did wrong in the first half, they missed a 24-year-old field goal, they had 325 yards
and 10 yards per play. Josh Allen averaged 13.4 yards per attempt.
in the first half.
Like, he was sick.
He was sick.
That Jonathan Taylor play, by the way, happened exactly when James Cook scored to open the
second half for Buffalo.
Like the confluence today of plays that went against us that happened at the exact
same time, that it's like a full beat down.
We were in an alley
fighting 27
Kung Fu Masters
and every single time
someone had a kill shot
That's what it felt like
Yeah just about
Again, how special this season is for Josh Allen
Like I think his name's Ty Johnson
Who's his running back
Josh Allen's throwing to this guy
In like the clutchest biggest moments of that game
And this guy is making these insane plays
A guy that's like
Their third back
It's
It is bizarre world
Like this guy is 114 yards receiving today.
And every time he touched it, it was a big play in a big moment.
And yeah, like you talk about it.
We've had some bad reads today.
We've had some bad luck.
But overall, some of the bets we made, we kind of knew going in.
The lines were a little fishy.
And it felt like you wanted to touch the hot stove chat and you touched it.
And you got burned.
It's not just me.
Don't act like you're parenting me.
in this situation.
What games were you warning me off all week?
Tell me the games you were warning me off.
Listen, at any point today, you could have said,
let's go with Tampa Bay.
I want to get in the jet.
Tampa was never brought up.
I mean, again, I know it was a bad mess.
You didn't want to do Tampa Bay.
I'm talking about this week.
We should have avoided Pittsburgh.
We should have avoided Cleveland.
That's what sucks.
It's like we're looking at O and 4.
I don't fault us for the lines.
That, to me, was a bet we both loved.
And the Colts?
Yeah.
And then again, the Colts,
I feel like, again, even midway through that game, it's like a good bet.
But it's just brutal that.
Like, now we're relying on the Giants.
I mean, the Green Bay.
We've never going on for five, and it's like, whew, it's a lot to put on to Green Bay tonight.
The only game we would have considered putting in.
Huh?
The only game we would have considered putting in were the Jaguars.
Yeah.
So it wouldn't have mattered.
I mean, that's one way to look at it.
It's also there's different ways of getting blown out.
I guess.
I mean, we could do the scooch thing, the right side's the winning side.
So it doesn't even matter if you don't cover it by three or you get blown up by 30.
But no, I'm just saying it was a tough week where it's like you knew some of those lines
stunk and we put them in anyway.
That's what I meant about you touching the stove.
You just, you couldn't help yourself.
Like that Pittsburgh one, we knew, we knew.
And I hate that it went the way it did because we knew with, we knew with both of them.
We were always on the other side of that one usually.
We knew with both of them.
it's not a it's not a me thing it's a we thing we both knew you didn't back off like
i mean listen to me i have on i hop on social media i can hear how many people call me an idiot
for going against the eagles don't worry yeah uh on thursday go back and listen to the tape you you you
were like trying to warn me off it and then you fully came around to the stealers
at the end of your analysis.
Because I was going to walk away from it
because you were so confident about the Eagles
because the wise guys were coming in on the Eagles
and you were hearing so much about it.
But in the end, you're like,
we got to go with the Steelers.
Yeah, you're right.
Obviously, Tampa on the number didn't matter.
I wish we got Tampa in there.
It's just a typical thing of like, we have three.
I bet it heavy at three,
but for some reason our contest,
we have to put in two and a half.
And we've talked about two and a half
has become one of the more important key numbers.
So that was the whole thing that scared me off on it.
But yeah, obviously looking back,
I mean, Tampa beat the shit out of the Chargers.
Exactly what we said it was gonna happen there.
The better team, Mike Evans,
dominated that matchup, had the game of his life.
Ladd-McConkie came back early,
didn't look himself.
They were just stagnant offensively.
And you know, whatever happened that Herbert ankle injury,
obviously I didn't know much about,
I don't know if you heard about it,
but it's like clearly whatever happened there,
I think he had two sacks
and the guy landed right on it.
And from that point,
They didn't score a single point.
Like they had 70 points at that point.
And then the offense kind of just fell off from there on.
So definitely something to keep in mind going forward with this Chargers team.
Like they're major injuries and major positions right now heading into late December.
I am looking at our list right now.
The games that we had talked about for Thursday, we talked about Miami, that wouldn't have worked out.
the Jags, that wouldn't work out.
We talked about, we were split on,
there was a split.
You said there was a split between Tampa Bay
and the Chargers.
Seattle was one that came up
that the wise guys like, but we're sticking with Green Bay.
Detroit, I don't know that we would have won any games,
no matter which games we chose,
except for Tampa Bay.
No, it's fair.
Uh, Simon, we got to talk.
We have Green Bay tonight minus two and a half.
Please, please, Jordan, love.
Play like you've never played.
Save our day.
Played like you've never played before.
We need you.
We need you.
Look at us chasing out winter on Sunday night with a favorite.

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, news?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called, Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to a first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
We were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

what are we looking at for week 16 you tell me don't be so upset chad i'm not upset you sound like you're
upset we both are o and four right now i'm just trying to let you know this week if there's a game
i keep saying to you can we please take this act can we just maybe think about taking it out uh here we
go Thursday night Broncos Chargers the open up Chargers minus three we just talked about
Herbert having an injury yes then we just take the three right now with Denver yes so there's
a couple games like that that pop up here yes on the Saturday chiefs are plus two and a half right
now against the Texans by the way it's moved down from three and a half when we started the show
so that's the book saying it's Carson once in their mind yep but we just talked about that their
x-rays came back negative I'll grab the two and a half right now it's
another position we could take out we want to
but even if it's Carson Wentz
Houston man I don't know how much of that
Miami game you watched you watch you watch a lot of it
I didn't but like I just saw
different parts pop up and I was just like man
there luckily two is throwing three picks in this game
or whatever it was four picks I know he had a lot
there's just something's off about them and everyone's kind of had that same
sense and like you just said people
any professional that came in on Miami and like it's
they had good reason to this Houston team is really questionable right now
So yeah, that one jumps out to me two and a half.
Pittsburgh's six and a half right now against this Ravens team on Saturday.
You know what?
I saw that.
Are we suckers again?
I didn't want to say anything.
It's cross, it's above six, though.
We have to take it.
It's Tomlin above six.
Because we have to.
We have to.
Because I knew we were going to be having a hard conversation about how much I like the Steelers.
Well, we can't put them in the contest anyway.
Unfortunately, it's Saturday game.
Thank fucking God.
Really? I would love to put this one.
I don't know. This feels like another really nice Tomlin spot.
Again, it burned us today, but historically Tomlin,
especially it's above six as a dog.
He's a great bet not only on the money line, but on the spread.
Matt Mitchell is saying we might be good with Saturday games
because they aren't stand-alone.
So we may be able to consider this.
That'd be cool.
Another line that just jumped out from the Sunday slate
that just seemed really fishy.
Jets are plus three at home against the Rams.
It's another week where it's like,
it's going to move down,
and I'd much rather be on the Rams at minus two and a half
than I would be on the Jets.
But like, that right now seems like a professional side.
Like I can easily see the pros coming in on the Jets at plus three.
Well, there's no reason they wouldn't come in on the Jets, right?
They've been on the Jets every single week.
Yeah, that's true.
Including, by the way, this week.
So they were the first.
favorites. It got down to three and went back to three and a half. So I can't see why the wise guys
wouldn't be on the Jets. Yeah, just interesting though, that the book opened that at three.
Like you just said, though, that's, I guess that that's with them knowing they're going to get
action on the other side. What do we do, Ted? Do we go against our Colts after today who just
burned us so horribly? Because they're plus four now. Tennessee's plus four of the Colts.
I'm seeing four and a half. And I feel like,
it's so hard to bet this Tennessee theme.
Like I did bet them today a plus six and felt decent about it.
And then their defense-
Yeah, they're up 14-7.
You're feeling pretty good.
Feeling pretty good.
And like their defense could not stop anybody.
And Will Levis then just self-destructed,
like every other quarterback who's from that draft class at this point,
just self-destructing.
So like we couldn't even get Bryce Young to continue to be,
like Bryce Young today
that one feels iffy to me
but but
if you're going to say we have to get it in
I'll get it in
I might
I might you never know
interesting number
this Minnesota team they're minus two right now
against the Seahawks
that one just sticks out to me
because they're playing a divisional game Monday
and then our short week they're traveling to the Seahawks
so it's like
I would want to bet it but if the Seahawks
lose tonight, I might be able to get a three.
So I'm not in a total rush, but
that's a side that's like I could see us end up being
on the Seahawks in that spot just because it is
a good number and a good
position against the Minnesota team like we just said.
In a short week, late December, that's
pretty tough for a lot of teams.
That one just jumped out
to me. I mean, there's no way I get you
back to Jags again, can I?
Oh, I circled that in
red 100%
Jags plus one and a half
against the red. How are we not?
I'm worried that's going to flip those.
So that's going to be one that if it flips,
are we going to avoid it?
Because we've had terrible luck with lines that have flipped this year from plus them being favorites.
I don't know about that.
But like,
is a better looking at it right now,
I want to play the Jacks.
Like just forget about.
If you have a book that is one and a half,
that's a nice throw it in a teaser.
Like Max Crosby is done for the year.
Done for the year.
Like quarterback situation is not very good.
This team at some point,
they're not going to officially tank, but they're on track for Cam Moore, Travis Hunter,
Shador Sanders.
You know, they can make a significant upgrade to their team.
So I like the Jags as Underdogs here a lot.
Yeah, this last one, I'm worried I'm overthinking it, but it just feels like it's too easy.
Once again, a line that feels too big.
Commanders are plus four against this Eagles team where this number feels like it should be
plus three.
We're getting a nice bump here because Washington had a little meltdown, right?
They're up 17-0.
Saints come all the way back.
The flip side, this Eagles team who was doubted today,
just rolled public and professional players alike
that bet the Pittsburgh team.
I want to bet this, but again,
I feel like another number that can I be patient here?
Won't this go up rather than come down?
Well, it's already down to three and a half.
All right.
Chat just told you then, so I guess I'll grab the four now while I can.
Yeah.
If you can get a four, you should definitely get it.
I see one four out there.
The rest I'm seeing are three and a halfs.
Uh, because again, done this game is the hard time I was giving about the hurts.
I was really just busting her balls where like this, this kind of feels like a hurt spot
that he'll, he'll have a shit game that you're talking about like a let down game after
that performance he just had because as much I love her, it's 25 of 32.
That's not who hurts is.
Hertz is 20 of 32.
Like he got five today that were, you know, not usually on his record books.
So a nice letdown spot.
And then on the flip side commanders, I just honestly liked the way they're match.
their offense can match up with this Eagles team.
You know, McLaren obviously had an incredible day today with Jane Daniels,
but that read option,
Jane Daniels and Robinson in the backfield,
it is pretty deadly.
Like when he pulls the ball and runs with it,
especially when he's obviously getting smarter now not taking the contact.
It's a really great weapon to use.
And we talked early in the year when the Eagles played that Ravens team.
The throws were there because the defense was sucking up.
Lamar just had an off night.
He was missing the throw.
So I think if Daniels can kind of hit those throws,
the blueprint's kind of already out there.
high can tack this Fangio defense.
So yeah, to me, Chad, I grab that plus four now.
If you're like you just said, if it's down to plus three and a lot of books,
I'll rush now and try to get the plus four before it moves.
He is so smooth, Jaden Daniels.
I watch a lot of that Saints game today.
And he makes those run options look like he's moving in slow motion
and yet still gliding by everybody and then casually walking out of bounds.
the way he was able to avoid getting hit today was great.
Any other on your radar?
Because there's one more on my radar.
I mean, obviously there's a couple more we can talk about, but I'm not, I won't go too crazy.
What do you got to jump out to you?
Well, the Miami Dolphins at one and a half against San Francisco, very short home favorite.
Two teams that are essentially out of the playoffs.
But, like, Chua had a terrible game today.
like really made some bad mistakes really bad throws but i don't know anything about this this niners team
right now obviously mcalfrey's out debo seems washed there's no iuk purdy was making bad throws
i would take miami at home because miami at home against bad teams is what you do and the nineers
right now are not a good team and i feel like i'm getting about half
point to a point of value on Miami because people have just seen them lose as well.
But I think Tua is playing at a much better level.
And I don't know the status of Waddle right now, but their short to intermediate game
can be really good.
And they only lost today because Tudel made two or three really bad decisions because
they were in that game against the Texans the whole time.
Yeah, I honestly think, like I'm gonna go back and watch that one because I wasn't able to watch a lot of it, but
Just looking at the box score just like another day of
Miami was probably the better team. It was just the QB play that kind of bit them and
You know even defensively it seemed like they got a lot of pressure on
CJ and what you just talked about stays up to me with Brock Purdy is you know Trent Williams has not been there and you know that does affect him in some way where he's had to deal a lot of pressure in his face
and for some reason whatever it is going on with him and kiddle like that should be a safety valve
but instead he's turning to Debo Samuel who's just been disappointing all season with the drops
and you know I got what they were trying to do last week but you mean me and you bet them like
we thought it was going to have like a j today a jr brown had a touchdown in a hundred yards
receiving that's what i honestly thought it was going to happen with debo it's like you just kind
of force feed him and make it make it work out for you're not going to you know let it fail again
this weekend it did feel like you just said you're probably learning maybe I'm over thinking
because I honestly wanted to take the 49ers in this spot but you're probably right where it's
like no this is actually when you back Miami like them at home in this exact spot against bad
teams this is when they dominate and we have to come to terms with like this 49ers team is a bad
team I mean they literally had a guy quit in the third quarter I forgot what quarter it was maybe
it was in the before the half but it's like that the the mojo in that locker room as
bad as it might be in Miami right now. It's nowhere near as bad as it's 49ers. They are a team
that's just going through it right now. So I'm with you, Chau. I think that's a good read.
What do you think of your bucks now at four and a half on the road against the Dallas Cowboys?
I hate it because it's like I want to take the Cowboys, but the Bucs are a good team. Like we've
talked about, like they feel like they are a good team, but we've talked this year. They
feels like they play their competition level.
So I don't know, maybe it's, maybe I'm just a little speak
because I actually watch a decent amount of this Cowboys Carolina game.
Because like we talked about, we're, I bet Carolina, I'll be first to admit it.
I like love them because I got him at one and a half and it was like, oh, I got the smart
number, beat the books.
This will land on two or three and I'll be the smart one here.
And now they get rolled because Cooper Rush had to me the best game he's had since he's
become a starter.
Unreal. Off balance throws, corner pocket of the end zone, like no problem.
You know, this was a superstar game for the Cowboys too.
Like C.D. Lamb, monster game. Michael Parsons, monster game.
Can we bet on that carrying over, Chad?
Like, that's what we're going to need.
Like, we'll need to cover this number.
But it feels like early here, the right side of this number is probably the Cowboys.
Like, this is too much respect to the Bucks team.
But this probably should be closer to three, four and a half.
That's egregious.
So I'm fighting this one or now because I think you're right
where it's like I know what I have to do here,
but we got burned so bad today.
It's taken a lot from me wanting to just bet an ugly dog like this in Cooper Rush.
Look, I don't want to make any bets right now.
I'm going to firing away right now.
That's how we're so different.
I'm a sicko.
I'm like, get the stank off and let me just fire away.
Get back into the game.
I don't know if I'm going to make a bet until next Sunday.
I'm burning the tape from this week, brother.
Just moving on.
Gotta.
All right.
Because this one is just absolutely stank.
things now. So yeah, that's for a line that's one of the more overvalied ones. I mean, again,
we didn't even talk about the Bill's Patriots number like that's 14. There's going to be a lot of
that this week where it's like ugly teams are going to be really down in the pits because there
were so many bad blowouts this week, right? Like the dogs got pretty smoked for the most part this
week. And that's what's going to be really tough for me to avoid because we've talked about.
We've been trying to put more favorites in because the favorites have been hitting. And like
This is another week where there's going to be a bunch of big dogs with value
that we're going to try to have to avoid in some way.
Because there's just so tempting.
Like right now, I want to fire away on the Patriot's plus 14.
But it's like, can we do that with Josh Allen playing at the level he's playing at?
Exactly.
I'm the same way as you where it's like I don't really want to step in front of them again.
So we all let's look.
We didn't do that with the Giants this week.
No.
And I just, I did the Stucky move.
I just took the Ravens first half because I was just like,
I want to avoid it.
Got crazy lucky.
One more threw a touchdown with like 30 seconds left to whatever it was.
So yeah, again, the favorites, the public, it's been breaking right from this whole season.
