This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
Hey, guys, it's us.
The Jonas Brothers. I'm Joe.
I'm Kevin.
And I'm Nick.
And guess what?
We created our own podcast called, Hey, Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Well, sick and tired is a strong way to put it.
But, you know, tired and sick.
Tired and sick.
Listen to Hey, Jonas, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you.
you get your podcast. Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas. And I'm C.J. Toledano. It's our favorite time of the year on
our podcast point game, the playoffs. We're digging into the biggest surprises of the season.
And I'm looking back on some of my greatest playoff moments. If we didn't talk ever again,
I was harmed. You just understood. That's how personal it got. Wow. Then after that game seven,
Mark keep coming to him. He's like, you know I love you, dog. You know, it's all love. This was just
playoffs. This was just basketball. So listen to Point Game on the I Heart
Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Your husband is not who you think he is.
Your body is not what you thought it was.
Your identity is formed by a secret history.
I'm Danny Shapiro.
And these are just a few of the stunning stories I'll be exploring on the 14th season of
Family Secrets.
He kind of shoved me out of the way and said, move.
And he went out the front door and he jumped in a car and drove off.
And that was the last time I saw him.
Listen to Season 14 of Family Secrets on the IHeart Radio app,
Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is,
getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is,
getting a new one put up in its place.
I'm Akela Hughes, and Rebel Spirit Season 2 is about both of those things.
As I was watching these statues come down,
I was thinking about what it meant that I grew up in a majority black city
in which there were more homages to enslavers than there were to enslave people.
Listen to Rebel Spirit Season 2 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Every family has its secrets.
But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
That is not the look of an innocent man.
Is everyone lying to me about who they are?
I felt such desperation.
I felt it was what I had to do.
Listen to deep cover the family man.
on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Here we go. It is a Wednesday. We're in Chicago. Beautiful day. Live. It's the herd wherever you may be. However you may be listening. Whatever platform it is.
Thanks for making us part of your day. Joel clad in one hour. Got another look at the college football rankings, which becomes the college football playoff.
You know, I saw this morning certain things that just make me smile. I don't know if you saw this morning. I don't know if you saw
this, J. Mack. Do you know the highest graded quarterback in the NFL the last two weeks?
Oh, boy. Let me get a guess. I'll go Caleb Williams. Interesting. Isn't this funny?
Highest rated PFF quarterback all year is a former Trojan and currently the hottest
USC Trojan. I'm telling you, they're coming back. So I was thinking about this. Success
in any field. Any field.
It can be law, education.
It's mostly masonry, one brick at a time.
Great parenting isn't the weekend birthday parties.
It's Monday through Friday, 7A to 7P.
Caleb Williams was flashy last year.
Caleb Williams is still flashy this year.
But you want to know why he's the highest-guided quarterback?
It's all the masonry.
He proves that young-talented quarterbacks,
even super-hyper-talented quarterbacks,
they just need a baseline of support and common sense.
Ben Johnson takes this job.
Does he say, Caleb, I want more zany, flashy plays?
No.
The first thing he addresses, we got to get better at guard, center guard.
Not even the most dynamic offensive line positions.
The big uglies in the middle of the O line.
They get Jonah Jackson, Drew Dahlman, they get Joe Tuny.
Guard, center guard.
The second thing, he says, hey, I got to ask you something, Caleb, can you not run backwards?
I want to eliminate the negative plays and the pre-snap penalties.
Two basic masonry laying brick needs.
And suddenly, he's the hottest quarterback in the league.
Because when you're not first and 15 or first and 20 or second and 28 because you got sacked running backwards, you run the ball better.
And you run the ball more often.
and that helps the quarterback.
Now, Patrick Mahomes, the way he entered the league, Hall of Fame coach, great GM, great owner,
Hall of Fame tight end, Pro Bowl wide receiver, that car had no flat tires.
And Caleb entered the Bears with Iber Flues and that staff and a battle line.
There were four flat tires.
But Caleb was not terrible last year.
He was wildly flashy, 20 touchdown six picks.
it's all the little stuff that makes great parenting and great quarterback.
Yeah, we have much better protection, guard center guard.
We don't have any negative plays pre-snap stuff.
What did Belichick say about Brady?
What Tom, you're always playing in front of the sticks?
It's never first and 15.
It's never second and 22.
Move the ball ahead.
Because the wild dynamic running thing, that is really, really easy for Caleb Williams.
That's innate.
That's natural.
That's going to come.
Caleb's success this year is on all the minutia of the NFL.
Guard play.
No pre-snap penalties.
Last week, Minnesota had eight.
Last week, the Rams had no penalties.
Either side.
Efficiency matters, whether you're at meta, Fox Sports, or the Bears.
The Bears are just more, they're more efficient.
They're more stable.
I was looking at Caleb Williams' passer rating last year.
It was 88.
This year, it's 92.
You look at yards per attempt, 6.3 to 7.3.
It's not that different.
The one thing you see of the sacks, no negative plays, therefore you can establish a run game,
therefore you're throwing on play action.
You couldn't run the ball last year for Chicago.
Between the sacks and the pre-snap stuff, you were throwing it because you had to throw it.
Now you throw it because you want to throw it.
Totally different.
But as Greg Olson said yesterday, you know, the hyper-athletic stuff, that's just who he is.
He'll always have that.
What he needed was a grown-up coach to do the small stuff.
When things break down in today's NFL, which is going to be often,
past protection is very difficult, the rushers are very good, scheme is good.
you have to have a quarterback that can make second level plays,
meaning it's not the initial read, it's not the initial timing.
I got a playoff script.
He can do that as well as anyone as they continue to get him into more of the on-time
rhythm component of Ben Johnson's dropback game.
If that continues to develop, that's what Chicago thought they were drafting last year.
Yeah.
Caleb brings the sizzle, right?
He brings the sizzle.
Ben Johnson just brought in a better steak.
Success is largely masonry in every field, one brigade at time, the little stuff.
So I've always had a rule on my show, basically.
I have opinions, and you can have opinion on my opinion.
But I'm not going to have an opinion on your opinion on my opinion.
I'll make an exception because I think this is instructive.
So I said the other day, I said,
Micah Parsons is a stud athlete, but through the years, this summer I had a,
conversation with a general manager, and he said, don't be surprised if Dallas moves off him,
even though he's in his prime, because he's not a versatile player. He's a great athlete and a great
player, and he's going to be a Hall of Famer. But the Cowboys tried to use him at linebacker,
and it didn't work. He doesn't have fast eyes. He's one of those classic. Hassan Redick was
this. He's a much better player than Hassan Reddick. See quarterback, go get him. See ball, go get it.
There's no knock on that. He's a world-class athlete. Well, he didn't like when I said
that. He put up a tweet
yesterday, say, hey, we just held Sequin
Barclay to 60 rushing yards.
Our only losses have been holding teams
to 13 points. Man, sometimes can you all
please just blankety blank?
Stop giving people mics
or listening to trash.
So let me just say this
about your great job against
Sequin Barclay.
Seven of nine Philadelphia
Eagle games this year,
Sequin Barclay has rushed for 60 yards
or less. The Dallas
Cowboys held them to 60 yards. The Eagles can't run the football this year. That wasn't great
defense. That is the inability due to injuries and other reasons. Philly can't run the ball this
year. That's why they're not as dominant. That was not a great Packer performance. It was a
consistent Eagles run game performance. So the Cowboys defense last year was Micah 31st.
The Cowboys defense this year without Micah 31st. And again, but the argument here isn't about
who's right, me or Micah.
This is instructive.
There are certain players in the NFL, very, very infrequent professional athletes that do a bunch of stuff well.
Wembe.
Ball handle, hit a three, block a shot, post move.
Yokic can do everything.
Best passer on the Nuggets.
Best post guy in the Nuggets.
Best rebounder mostly on the Nuggets.
Best shooter at times on the Nuggets.
That is rare.
O-Tonnie can do everything.
thing. Most baseball players, the great ones, are Freddie Freeman. Man, can he hit. Otani can do everything.
Yokic and Wemby are versatile. Luke is a great score. Carmelo Anthony was a great score.
He wasn't a great playmaker, a great defender, a great rebounder. Mello and Luca are great
scores. And that, for great players, even great players, that's it. Christian McCaffrey's a versatile
player. Bejohn Robinson's a versatile player. Adrian Peterson was just a great running back.
Micah is essentially Tyreek Hill. For the record, both traded in their prime. Tyreek Hill's never been a
great blocker. He doesn't run great routes, but he'll probably make the Hall of Fame because, man,
he is great with a deep ball. But Andy Reid moved off him. Brett Veach, arguably second best
GM in the league, moved off him.
They moved off him in his prime.
And the Cowboys moved off Micah in his prime.
Cleveland's not moving off Miles Garrett.
Raiders aren't moving off Max Crosby.
Steelers aren't moving off T.J. Watt.
Why?
Because those are versatile edge rushers.
Mike is not.
In his run with Dallas Cowboys, they were 23rd against the run.
They got sacks.
They got pressure.
They were 23rd against the run.
So what Micah is, he's Tyreek Hill.
both traded in their prime, both unbelievable, both will probably make the Hall of Fame, both highly productive.
But Tyreek Hill isn't Larry Fitzgerald.
Okay, Larry Fitzgerald could do.
Drake London, maybe the best red zone receiver.
He can be an underneath receiver.
Drake London can block.
Drake London can be a deep threat.
Drake London can be anything you want him to be.
Larry Fitzgerald can be anything.
Tyree just goes deep.
Micah is a seaball.
quarterback, get it. And that has
unbelievable value. But the
Cowboys tried him at linebacker. I was
told by a GM, doesn't have great eyes,
can't put him into coverage.
It's not what he does.
And by great standards,
99% of great athletes,
not just average guy,
but great ones, are more
Freddie Freeman than Otani. They're more
Carmelo than Yokic or Wembe.
They're more Tyreek and Micah
than Miles Garrett or Larry Fitzgerald
or Christian McCaffrey or Bejohn-Robin.
Kyle Hamilton,
JSN for the Seahawks.
You can put him on the sideline, you can put him in the slot.
Remember the late Aaron Hernandez?
He can play like six positions.
Gronk's a tight end.
Gront is a tight end.
Aaron Hernandez, you put him in the back field.
You could put him in the slot.
You could put him anywhere.
So it's not a shot.
It's instructive on Micah.
Micah is what he's always been.
Stud athlete, five-star recruit,
disruptive pass rusher.
And Tyreek Hill is always what he was.
Man, can he get deep fast?
But very rarely do you get a player, even an all-timer, that does a bunch of stuff well.
Christian McCaffrey does so many things better than Adrian Peterson.
But if you told me I needed two yards and somebody to run over a linebacker, I'd probably take Adrian Peterson.
So there you go.
Got Belichick, New York giant rumors.
believe it or not
Belichick New York giant
rumors
I'm going to quiz everybody
this hour on the show
because we always talk about this
with young quarterbacks
how it's not linear
it's bumpy
it's up, it's down
who's your coach
who's your offensive line
it's very interesting
I'm going to ask
everybody watching our show today
you're the general manager
and I'm going to give you
every quarterback
under 25
25 or under
I'm going to give you everyone
and by
by the end of today, you have to decide on a $250 million extension.
Today's the last day.
You get two guys who would be your two.
Just kind of throw it out there.
I'm going to give you a couple minutes to study the midterm.
Every quarterback, 25 and under, you're the GM.
Today at the end of the business day, you have to make a decision on those 12 young
quarterbacks. Two. You get a sign today. You have to. So there's 12. It's about 12. I'll look at
the number again. Is Justin Herbert one of them? No, no, no. He's now eclips that age. He's
that cleaps 25. Okay. This is setting up so that Caleb Williams is one of the two, obviously,
yes, yes. I can tell already, you love the bears and Caleb Williams. Now you got me worried.
I had liked the bears against the Vikings, but this soliloquy you started off with, I am a little nervous. I think
Jay McCarthy shows up big this weekend.
Okay, good luck for that.

Hey, it's us to Jonas Brothers, and guess what?
We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news.
We created our own podcast called,
Hey, Jonas, we invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it.
We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
A pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts.
We're starting a trend.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name, Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
Oh, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band.
Before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast,
where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my life.
little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.
Listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Just listen. We don't care where you hear it.
What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast Point Game is about defining the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player to ever play the game. His IQ is at a level that we've never seen.
before. And he knows. Without Luca and Austin Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the challenges of the playoffs.
I think Joker's going to be exhausted this series because when they don't have Rudy in the lineup,
he has to really guard guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard Julius Randall.
And then he has to give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night basis on offense.
And when IT's friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson, we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nass would get that thing. That man, heck.
get the flying. He runs up the court, licking his fingers, why he got the ball. Like,
after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Oh, yeah. Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Will Ferrell's Big Money Players and IHeart Podcast presents soccer moms.
So I'm Leanne. Yeah. This is my best friend, Janet.
Hey. And we have been joined at the Hipsons High School.
Absolutely. Now a redacted amount of years late.
We're still joined at the hip.
Just a little bit bigger hips, wider.
This is a podcast.
We're recording it as we tailgate our youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey.
With all the snacks and drink.
Sidebar.
Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer?
Oh, they had a bogo.
Well, then you got it.
Do you want a white collar or something here?
Just take it.
What are y'all doing?
Microphones?
Are you making a rap album?
Oh, I would.
Come on.
Could you imagine?
I would buy it.
Cut through the defense like a hot knife through sponge cake.
That sounds.
That sounds good.
Oh, you're lucky.
I'm not a drug addict.
You're lucky I'm not an alcoholic.
You're lucky I'm not a killer.
I love this team and I'm really trying to be a figure in their lives that they can rely on.
Oh.
Listen to soccer moms on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Hey, I'm Deanna Maria Riva, actress, mother, lover, and a Gen X woman walking through life one hot flash and hormonal crying jag at a time.
You ladies know what I mean.
I'll bet you a paramedapapal chin here.
do. So let's talk about it. Join me on my new podcast. How hard can it be with the Adam
Maria Riva, where I call on my Gen X squads from Ohio to Hollywood as we navigate
Midlife's most fantastic BS. All of a sudden, I'd had hanginess happening on my own. I was like,
what the hell is that? I was married when I had her, so I didn't even consider how empty that
Ness was going to be. Mood swings, night sweats, fupas, sex drive. Wait, what sex? Dating at 45. How
How can it be getting naked at 50 with the new guy?
That one's kind of hard.
Well, that's lighting.
They say we can't polish a turd, but we're sure going to try.
So let's get blunt with laughs, tears, or tears of laughter, and dive into it, unfiltered
and unbothered and ask, how hard can it be?
I cannot believe I'm about to say this out loud in public.
Listen to How Hard Can It Be with Diana Maria Riva as part of my Cultura Podcast Network
available on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This is Saigon.
The story of my family and of the country that shaped us.
The United States will not stand by and allow any power, however great, take over another country.
From My Heart Podcast, Saigon.
Please allow me to introduce Joseph Sherman.
You don't think I'm serious about a free Vietnam?
I should stop talking so much.
I like hearing you talk.
One city, a divided country, and the war that tore America apart.
This is for Vietnam.
I've taken a hit from Japanese ground fire.
Do you rate me?
They're pouring petrol all over him.
He's holding matches.
I'm on a landmine.
Or freeze on.
Let's get out.
Freedom, bomb it.
No!
Sun!
Stigone, starring Kelly Marie Tran and Rob Benedict.
Sting, here's madness.
The world should hear about this.
There's a fire coming to this country, and it's going to burn out everything.
Listen to Saigon on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I'm going to ask you to be a lot.
the general manager before the end of the hour. You have to pay a quarterback, $250 million. 140 of it
guaranteed, 25 and under quarterbacks. Who would you give it to? So the Giants fired their
head coach on Monday during the show. And I said two coaches feel pretty obvious to me.
Mike McCarthy and Lane Kiffin.
Lane Kiffin coach Jackson Dart in college,
the Giants quarterback, and Mike McCarthy works with every quarterback.
Even won games with Cooper Rush.
A lot of pushback on that.
Lane's a college guy, which I think college and pro football
look very similar today.
They didn't 15 years ago.
And Mike McCarthy gets more crap for a guy that won a Super Bowl than any coach ever.
Bill Belichick's name has surfaced.
Belichick was asked about it as Carolina prepares for their next game.
Getting ready for a course.
That's all I got this week.
As anyone asked you or players or recruits want to know about your future?
I've been asked about it from time to time, but yeah, I've been done this road before.
I'm focused on all the way of force.
That's it.
And that's my commitment to this team.
And next week it'll be to our next opponent.
fourth but you know i'm here to do best i can't with this team listen i have defended bellichick's
relationship with one 20 year old i just don't i'm not going to give him jackson dart too
okay no i think you can look at belichick as the world has changed in football and you can look
at one player mac jones this is what worries me when mac jones was in new england
and josh mcdniel's was there he made a pro ball
this year with Kyle Shanahan has been the best bridge slash backup quarterback in the league.
Last week he was 33 at 39.
He can really play.
It's a franchise quarterback.
When Josh left took the Raiders job and Bill had him, he was awful, unplayable.
As many turnovers as touchdowns.
So there is a formula that works with young quarterbacks, and it's not saddled up side of 74-year-old, defensive coach.
It's not.
And so I know Lane Kiffin and Mike McCarthy aren't that attractive, but there's a formula
to this.
And I know Bill was great, but be very careful about memories and lore and tradition.
We love, love to glamorize and romanticize sports.
And we just do.
Baseball over the last two years has grown because of one reason.
they stopped looking in the rearview mirror.
They just made all sorts of changes.
They started looking through the windshield.
Baseball is on a two-year heater.
And basketball, by the way, basketball's ratings are up.
Well, they put more games on NBC.
They have more partners.
They've made their product more available, not just on cable.
New contract.
The NFL does a better job than any sport in my lifetime of always upgrading rules.
So, I mean, Tom Brady's last two years in New England,
Tom Brady had 53 touchdowns.
First two years in Tampa in the 80s.
So go look at Mack Jones, a young quarterback,
and the greatest quarterback, young and old,
in their years with Belichick,
when he had, remember, Belichick in New England at the end,
was controlling personnel.
Tom had nobody to throw to.
When Josh McDaniels was there,
For Mac Jones, Mac Jones was excellent.
I mean, for a young guy that's not super athletic, he was very good.
Pro bowler.
So that's my issue with Belichick.
Maybe he could work with a stable quarterback or a stable culture.
I don't want him near my young quarterback.
Just not interested.
McCarthy, Lane Kiffin, heartbeat.
Bill may be a legend, but it's rearview mirror stuff to me.
Jay Mack with the news.
No, no, no, no.
Turn on the news.
This is the herd line news.
All right, Colin, a few weeks ago, I said I was really sick of Pittsburgh, then they beat the Colts,
and then you saw what happened last weekend, another brutal loss to the Chargers.
Colin, they're fading fast, specifically Aaron Rogers.
52% completions against the Chargers?
I mean, Colin, that's the worst for Rogers in quite some time.
With the Ravens on their heels in the AFC North, Mike Tomlin somehow is not worried about
his quarterback's poor play.
I'm not going to, you know, chalk it up to an off night, but there are no long-term
concerns.
I'm just not going to allow your words to be my words.
That's all.
Sunday night was what it was, but I have no long-term reservations about his ability to
play the position and play the position at a high level for us.
It's my second favorite bed of the week is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Wow.
I like, first of all, they got beat on Thursday by the Bengals.
They're salty.
They're a better team at home.
Cincinnati's not very good.
They're coming off an ugly loss.
Aaron's worst game.
And the Chargers actually are pretty good.
I think Pittsburgh will rebound and they'll win comfortably against the really bad team in the Bengals.
Steelers aren't a bad team.
They've got holes and liabilities and weaknesses.
They still can't run the ball seven years in a row.
but Pittsburgh will throttle Cincinnati.
Interesting.
So, Bengals, you saw the big news this week, right?
Joe Burrow returning at some point.
He's back at practice.
I wonder if embattled coach Zach Taylor can use us as a rally and cry.
Hey, Joe's coming back.
We just got to pick up a win or two.
We steal one here.
We already beat these chumps, right?
We're right back in the wild card race.
I wonder if with a by week, this is a huge.
huge motivational space for the Cincinnati bagels, Colin.
Why not?
Why not us?
Everybody in the ASC is losing.
The Steelers, Tomlin's issue has always been.
He's a terrible Thursday night coach.
That's true.
So when they got beat by Cincinnati, you and I talked about this.
Tomlin's great on Monday night football.
He's terrible on Thursday night football.
So now we're back to a normal week.
Not a short week.
Pittsburgh's got the better roster, the better quarterback, home field advantage,
better coach.
I think Pittsburgh
Here's what we know about Pittsburgh
We don't know what they are week to week
Don't forget the two weeks ago
They destroyed the Colts
At home
That's... Wait a minute
The Colts turned it over six times
Like come on
They didn't hand them the ball
They earned some of those turnover
The Angel Jones kind of hand them the ball
A couple times
But the other thing on the Bengals gone
These divisional matchups
Second time around
There's some data that shows
Later in the season
These games are closer
because of the familiarity between the coaching staffs, the teams, I would be careful.
The number is five and a half.
It's a pass for me.
Plus, you know, I love to root against Aaron Rogers.
Next story, let's go to Detroit and Philly.
This is a great Sunday night football matchup.
I got to be honest, I'm a little surprised this is only two and a half.
Same.
A lot of respect in the market for the Lions.
Yep.
I mean, hell, when you smash Washington and score on seven straight possessions, you have to.
Dan Campbell, very excited for the matchup.
knows the margins will be thin in a clash of NFC powers.
This is a heavyweight.
This is a heavyweight match.
And, man, one misstep can cost you this game.
Now, that shouldn't make you tight.
That shouldn't make you play conservative.
Just understand, man, it's going to take all three units and every play, man, you've got to
give it your full attention and lay it on the freaking line.
you can't ask for anything better.
Yeah, I like Philadelphia.
It was one and a half.
I like them more than I do two and a half.
But I think Philadelphia knows what they are.
It's flawed, but they know what they are.
I would worry that Dan Campbell had to take over play calling duties last week.
That's weird.
Don't love that.
Didn't love the hire.
Don't love that.
So I just, you know, I know Detroit just played outdoors against Washington,
but historically that dome team going out of,
outdoors. It's just not as speedy of a team.
Ammoner Ross, St. Brown, not as fast. Gibbs not as fast.
Now, the Eagles are off the night game.
A short week, right, against the Packers.
That was a tough one. I got to check the injuries and the weather as well, but I don't see why.
I mean, you remember when Detroit went outdoors against the Chiefs?
That's just not the same team.
Right.
I don't know.
This to me seems like a slam dunk Eagles.
Maybe I'm missing something.
Maybe there's an injury I didn't see Monday night.
Now, one and a half, one and a half, it was a top three bet of the week.
I thought Philadelphia minus one and a half.
It's up to two and a half.
Philadelphia is the play here.
Yeah, final story, Colin, I love this one.
The Dallas Mavericks obviously fired their GM, Nico Harrison,
after the worst trade in NBA history.
Well, now it's getting real spicy.
There is an NBA writer named John Hollinger who is floating the idea.
Hey, man, Dallas ain't going to the playoffs this year.
Kyrie's not coming back.
Build around Cooper flagged.
Trade Anthony.
Davis, put him on the market, see what picks you can get.
And essentially, you know, the fan base, I'm sure you saw, I talked about this on my podcast,
Cooper Flagg's mom was basically retweeted someone endorsing firing Nico Harrison because the whole
arena's booing during the game.
And she's like, why do we have to put up with this crap?
Essentially, the Nico Harrison trade, there's just a stench lingering.
And I hate to say it, but Anthony Davis was part of that trade.
Yeah.
And I almost think you kind of have to move him.
just to move on from that trade, right?
You fired Nico.
Now you've got to move AD.
I'm putting you on the spot here, but do you have any landing spots for Anthony Davis?
And, oh, by the way, no Laker fan wants him back, just to put that out there.
Um, I don't.
He's still a little overweight.
He's still injured.
I think he's coming back this week they expect.
No, I thought.
Defensively, he's really good.
No, I said two weeks ago on the show, I watched two Mavericks games.
He looked heavy.
it did not look like he was in great shape.
And that earlier in his career had been an issue.
Yeah, I mean, I just think Dallas, it just kind of smells as a franchise.
It was a bad move.
I always said if you want to trade Luca, then you've got to get three first round picks.
Anthony Davis, Max Trist, maybe in Austin Reeves.
They didn't get enough.
I'm not anti-trading him, but you got to get more.
Because I do think the drafts going forward, this next draft, by the way.
Oh.
No, it's one of the best drafts in a decade.
I mean, the top three picks are like can't miss guys.
The Kansas wing, the Boozer Kid, BYU star.
Like the NIL is going to make all these NBA drafts going forward much more fortified,
much better drafts, much thicker at the top, eight or nine guys that can't miss.
I was okay moving Luca if I got Austin Reeves, three first round picks in AD.
They just didn't get enough.
And then when everybody got hurt, then it makes the trade look disastrous.
So I'm not one of these, you know, when the Chiefs traded Tyreek Hill,
oh my God, or Micah getting traded.
Dallas's defense was bad.
This year, it's bad last year.
I'm four trades, but you got to get more than the Mavericks got.
The problem, Colin, I don't think the Mavericks could go out there and be like,
oh, we're going to get two firsts for AD.
I'm sorry.
I don't think that.
I don't think anything close to that.
I mean, I don't want to say you sell them on pennies on the dollar,
but using your theory, if something's not working,
you just got to make them just cut bait.
They might just have to take a poo-poo platter of guys
and, you know, a not great first and a second round pick
for Anthony Davis, who, again, at the height of his powers,
he's a really good impactful defensive player.
J-Mack with the news.
Well, that's the news.
And thanks for stopping by.
The Hurd-Ly News.
So I was thinking about this.
Ask yourself, what draft picks
did we think we're going to be pretty sensational players
and they really haven't delivered.
I'll give you a list.
Travis Hunter with the Jags,
Ashton Jenny with the Raiders,
and Cam Ward with the Titans.
Those are dynamic players,
and they didn't do anything.
So there's a story,
Travis Hunter, they shut him down for the year.
He had 298 yards this year,
one touchdown.
Do you really think Travis Hunter,
if he went to the Chiefs, the Rams, or the Ravens,
would have under 300 yards.
That would be marginal defensive player, really talented.
So that's whenever I hear, oh, the Jets and Cleveland have a bunch of first-round picks.
My take is that's just giving money in the family
to the one guy that's irresponsible with money.
The Jags screw everything up.
The Browns, Jets, they screw everything up.
I don't want to hear about all your first round picks.
By the way, what rookies have actually been really good?
Oh, Will Campbell going to Vrable and Robert Kraft, the Patriots.
Oh, Tyler Warren, going to Shane Steichen, great GM Colts.
Oh, Omecca at Buka.
Tampa was a playoff team.
Oh, Gray Zabel, Seattle, well run.
I mean, go look at the first round.
Everybody said, oh, Cam Ward and Travis,
They're going to be unbelievable.
Look where they went.
The guys that are actually good
is the first guy that went to Mike Frable.
Now, I will say,
TMAC, the receiver in Carolina,
they're dysfunctional, though less so today
than two years ago. He's pretty good.
But when I hear about
all these draft picks, go look at Travis Hunter.
This whole flyer on
cornerback is dumb.
He's a wide receiver. It's an offensive
league. Get him the ball.
14 targets, 11 catches, two jet sweeps, one reverse.
He's a super talented player, but he's a receiver and a return man.
Get him out of corner.
Go look at the, we thought Ashton Genty was going to be unbelievable.
Travis Hunter and Cam Wart.
A lot of these guys are super talented.
They went to franchises that don't know what to do with the money.
Don't know what to do with the talent.
Bummer, but it's true.
Okay, you're the general manager.
You're the general manager.
You have until the end of today
to give quarterbacks a $250 million contract,
140 of its guaranteed.
We'll throw the 25 and under quarterbacks out there
and show you how difficult these decisions are.
Next, the herd.
Be sure to catch live editions of the herd

Hey, it's us, the Jonas Brothers. And guess what? We have some big news.
What's the news, name?
Huge news. We created our own podcast called Hey Jonas.
We invented a podcast?
Well, we didn't invent it. We just contributed to it.
We're the first people to do podcasts.
Pretty, yeah, pretty wide range of podcasts throughout there.
But this one's extra special.
So how do we actually come up with a name Hey Jonas, guys?
I honestly don't remember.
I think it was on a call about what we should call it.
And, well, we were thinking I'm originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers.
This is how you guys remember it going down?
Yes.
I have a very different memory of this.
We were talking about a thing, a bit for the podcast, where people could call in and say, hey, Jonas.
And then I wrote down on my little notepad, Hey Jonas, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast.
But thanks for remembering that, guys.

Hey, I'm Deanna Maria Riva, actress, mother, lover, and a Gen X woman walking through life

a parameda possible chin here you do. So let's talk about it. Join me on my new podcast. How
How hard can it be with Deanna Maria Riva, where I call on my Gen X squads from Ohio to Hollywood
as we navigate Midlife's most fantastic BS. All of a sudden, I'd had hanginess happening on my own.
I was like, what the hell is that?
I was married when I had her, so I didn't even consider how empty that nest was going to be.
Mood swings, night sweats, fupas, sex drive.
Wait, what sex?
Dating at 45.
How high can it be getting naked at 50 with the new guy?
That one's kind of hard, you know?
Well, that's lighting.
They say we can't polish a turd, but we're sure going to try.
So let's get blunt with laughs, tears, or tears of laughter, and dive into it, unfiltered and unbothered and ask, how hard can it be?
I cannot believe I'm a good.
to say this out loud in public.

So I'm Leanne.
Yeah.
This is my best friend, Janet.
Hey.
And we have been joined at the hips since high school.
Absolutely.
Now a redacted amount of years later,
we're still joined at the hip.
Just a little bit bigger hips,
wider.
This is a podcast.
We're recording it as we tailgate
are youth soccer games in the back of my Honda Odyssey

Sidebar.
Why did you get hard seltzer instead of beer?
Oh, they had a bogo.
Well, then you got it.
Do you want a white collar or something here?
Just take it.
What are y'all doing?
Microphones?
Are you making a rap album?
I would.
Come on.
I would buy it.
Cuts through the defense like a hot knife through sponge cake.
That sounds delicious.
Oh, you're lucky.
I'm not a drug addict.
You're lucky I'm not an alcoholic.
You're lucky. I'm not a killer.
I love this team, and I'm really trying to be a figure in their lives that they can rely on.
Oh.

What's up, fam? It's Isaiah Thomas.
And I'm C.J. Toledano, and our podcast, Point Game is about defying the odds.
Like LeBron heading into the playoffs without Luca and Austin Reed.
And finding ways to win no matter what.
He's the smartest player.
ever play the game. His IQ is at a level
that we've never seen before. And he knows
without Luca and Austin
Reeves, I got to manipulate the game.
We get a player's perspective on the
challenges of the playoffs. I think
Joker's going to be exhausted this
series because when they don't have
Rudy in the lineup, he has to really guard
guys like Nas Reid. He has to guard
Julius Randall. And then he has to
give us everything he gives us on the night-to-night
basis on offense. And when IT's
friends stop by, like Quentin Richardson,
we dive into some playoff history too.
Steve Nash would get that thing.
That man, hell get the flying.
He running the court, licking his fingers why he got the ball.
Like, after you go through a training camp with that, Isaiah, you figure it out real quick.
Get your ass up and down the court, and you're going to get the ball.
So listen to Point Game on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
This is Saigon, the story of my family and of the country that shaped us.
The United States will not stand by and allow any time.
However great, take over another country.
From My Heart Podcasts, Saigon.
Or free time.
Let's get out.

Fox College Football Friday is under the lights in prime time.
This week, it's a battle in the Big Ten,
as Minnesota takes on Dante Moore and number eight, Oregon.
Friday night, 9 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Pacific on Fox.
So Chase Daniel was talking the other day on a podcast,
and he knows the Sean Payton Saints Denver system very well offensively.
And he said when he watches Bo Nix,
he sees somebody that just doesn't, he's not seeing it.
He's not seeing the stuff that's open.
But it's interesting.
Everybody's good at spending somebody else's money.
But if you were a GM, and this is what GMs go through, I mean, Cleveland sat down in a room and said,
Baker's driving us crazy, we know he's talented, we're going to let him go, they probably regret it now.
Minnesota, you know, do we keep Sam, we pay him this, we let him go, Minnesota regrets it.
So, Stefansky's really smart, Kevin O'Connell's really smart, and they let go of Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold,
and now they're Pro Bowl-level quarterbacks.
The stuff is hard.
It's easy when you get somebody on a discount.
They're on a rookie contract.
You know, or you're spending somebody else's money.
But if I said you're the general manager and knowing that the minute you pay a quarterback big money,
the roster will not look the same.
Like, for instance, if you paid Caleb Williams $290 million today, new contract,
we got to let DJ Moore go.
We got to let Joe Tuny go.
We can't pay for all of it.
Can't get, you got to let, now I got Roma Dunzee and I'll still have Drew Dalman and Jonah Jackson.
I probably got let Joe Tuny go. Kansas City had to let Joe Tuny go.
With protecting Mahomes, they had to let him go, guard.
Okay, so all these things considered, here are the quarterbacks in the NFL, 25 and under.
There's 11.
Okay, so if I said you have until the end of the business day today to make a decision,
$290, $300 million contract, half of it guaranteed.
Who are the three you would take?
The easy one is Drake May.
Drake May wasn't great last year.
He was lousy in the opener against the Raiders,
but the last eight, nine weeks, that's a franchise quarterback.
Drake May's the easy one.
You need three total.
The next two I would take are C.J. Stroud,
who's hurt again and is passerating the last two years is 89.
Ain't great.
Not really a starter.
89.
And the next I would take is Caleb and his two years in the NFL year and a half.
His passer rating hovers around 90.
Not great.
Okay.
And even with Ben Johnson, it's like 92 and a half.
That's not great.
I'd like upper 90s.
Okay?
So the 3, 25 and under, and for our radio audience, I'll read you the quarterbacks.
Jaden Daniels.
Okay, I can't.
He's hurt for the fourth time, a year and a half in.
Jackson Dart.
Lives in the blue tent.
J.J. McCarthy, obvious reasons.
Michael Pennix, Jr., hurt in college, looks really, really disappointing so far.
Brock Purdy, small, hurt again.
Mac Jones went 33 at 39 last weekend.
Has Brock ever done that?
I'm just asking.
Cam Ward, who knows?
Bryce Young, probably not going to extend him.
So you start looking at all these.
My three, one with no hesitation is Drake May.
The next two, C.J. Stroud has a couple of playoff wins.
Heard again, 90 pass-er rating last two years.
I would re-sign him.
and Caleb, because I think with Ben, we're getting a truer version of himself,
and it's about a 92-passer rating.
But everybody bangs on Bo Nix.
Let me remind you of Bo Nix.
Two things I want to remind you of.
In the fourth quarter this season, he's basically number one at everything.
First downs, game-winning drives, total touchdowns, second-in-yards.
Really good in the fourth quarter, for the record, so is Caleb.
The second thing is he's durable.
He never gets hurt.
go look at that list again Jackson Dart hurt
James Daniels hurt Bryce Young hurt C.J. Stroud hurt. Everybody's
hurt. Everybody's banged up.
Bonix and Caleb Williams and Drake May
they don't get hurt.
Sean Payton this week on Bo Nix
and speeding up
his game internally.
I think it's a plus and a minus. I've said that before.
I think one of his great strengths is not taking sacks.
And so the clock in his head relative to that sense of urgency.
So I think there is a fine line.
I think that a much easier problem to correct than the latter, which is taking the sacks.
And historically speaking, it's proven to be much more difficult to fix.
Yeah, so he's probably letting go the ball a step early, not a step late.
He's playing a little fast, a little frenetic.
but you
I'm always amazed by people
that overlook durability
how many times is Brock Purdy
going to be hurt? How many
how many times is Jackson Dark
going to go to the blue tent? Bo Nix
never gets hurt. Caleb Williams never
gets hurt. I need my guys there.
So like I said this about Mack Jones.
Mac Jones
I don't see a lot of injuries.
Brock Purdy, hurt again
all the time.
I don't know how you can overlook that.
Cam Ward, it's almost unfair to put him in there.
He has no support.
He could be really good eventually.
But if I said you've got to pick three guys and you're going to write the check,
knowing when you write the check, you've got to let people go.
Now, Drake May, you could sign that check.
They're not paying anybody.
So they wouldn't have to let people go.
Travion Henderson rookie, Kyle Williams receiver rookie.
So they're in a good space.
Will Campbell left tackle?
Rookie.
They're in a really good space.
But Caleb, if you sign him, or CJ Stroud if you sign him,
you got to let people go.
So Bo Nicks, everybody's banging on Bo Nix.
Durable wins games, great in the fourth quarter.
What is Caleb this year?
Durable wins games, great in the fourth quarter.
I'm sorry, for me, I'm into that.
I've worked with people in this industry that are really talented.
They're just not dependable.
High and low.
Don't get them every day.
We talked about masonry.
So, I don't know.
you don't have to like Bo Nix and how it looks.
He's the best fourth quarter quarterback in the league.
Right now, he's never hurt and he wins games.
He's 18 and 9 in a division with Mahomes and Herbert.
And Harbaugh, Spaggs, Andy Reid.
J. Mack, I know this is a very disappointing segment for you.
This is an awesome segment.
I love this idea.
So I'm going to break it down for you where I agree.
disagree. So I think let's process of
elimination. Right off the bat, you can eliminate three
guys. They're not in the mix. Price Young
out. Michael Penix,
out, Bo Nix, out. Those three
guys are... You and I don't agree on that.
I like the durable guy that wins the games.
Well, again, you know, we have two years worth of
data and his numbers are not good
at all. Yes, he has been able to finagle some
wins with Sean Payton beat a lot of bad
teams, but I would eliminate Bo Nix.
Not enough data so far. Cam Ward,
I don't think you can make a decision. Jackson
Dart, I know we love him, but can't make
decision and uh j jay mccarthy you cannot you just he's had four starts okay so that leaves five guys
for do you want two or three spots three spots okay drake may i think you're right based on the
two years we've seen i think he's in i do believe you're missing on brock purdy and why is that
colin because he's played more than all these guys brock purdy has played way more games than
caleb williams he has more wins but you love obviously more touchdowns more games he had two
game winning drives in the postseason two years ago. I know Caleb has four this year.
Whoa,
who rock Purdy has two in the playoffs. Okay. Purdy has as yards per attempt or eight point eight in
his career. Caleb Williams only six point eight lot of dink and dunk. So I think Brock Purdy's a
lock. I think Brock Purdy is after Drake May. And then you go between Caleb, Stroud,
and Jane Daniels. And Caleb has looked good, but, Con, do you think you're being a little
emotional. You now move to Chicago.
Caleb's on a heater.
If I told you, you'd never seen anybody play.
I said, I'm going to give you this
significantly better athlete who
never gets hurt. Well, no,
he doesn't never get hurt. He just hasn't
been hurt. I mean, he's played like 25
games or something. Caleb didn't get
hurt last year. He didn't get hurt in college.
He didn't get hurt in high school. He's not hurt this year.
If I told you, you did it,
with Brock Purdy and Caleb Williams, you'd never
seen him play. I said,
one guy, much better.
arm, also significantly more athletic and way more durable.
It's not a GM in the league that would take Brock.
Well, yes.
Now, here's the big thing with Caleb.
So last year, he didn't look good at all.
Numbers were horrible.
Body language is terrible.
No, no, no.
Let's stop.
20 touchdowns, six picks, and a passer rating close to 90.
It wasn't terrible.
Those are three numbers.
There's a billion numbers that go out of the equation.
But he changed coaches and upgraded to Ben Johnson.
So now he has basically Brock Purdy has Kyle Shannigan and Caleb has Ben Johnson.
And Brock Purdy's data compared to Caleb's so far is night and day.
Brock Purdy's been the better quarterback by almost every metric.
But he has more starts.
And he has a veteran coach and he has Christian McCaffrey.
And he's hurt all the time and he's hurt again.
And Mack Jones just put up a Sunday better than any Brock Purdy ever did from the pocket.
I mean, Tyson Bajent filled in last year and was like capable.
Remember, he had a starter two?
No, nobody thinks Tyson Bajent is Caleb.
Mack Jones last week, that's a better, that's a better Sunday in the pocket than Brock Pertit ever had.
33 or 39 with backups.
Just by the completion percent.
Listen, I get it.
You're out on Pertie.
He had the shoulder injury in the playoffs.
And then the toe thing this year.
I mean, if he's injury prone, I don't know what Joe, that makes Joe Burrow.
injuries happen though i mean come on jaden daniels fluky putting his arm down hyper extended
mahomes has never hurt and josh allen's not hurt and caleb's not hurt and bow nicks isn't
hurt and elin manning didn't get hurt and i mean the truth is most of erin rogers career he didn't
get hurt and most of brady's he didn't get hurt and i think some guys are just brittle and small
by the way two is hurt and then kiler gets banged up and bryce young is hurt and
Brock Purdy's not big as well.
I don't think it's just coincidence.
Like, I don't think it's coincidence.
The Jags have all these great picks, and none of them pan out.
And yet, and yet Mike Brable gets his top picks this year, his top three picks.
They all work out.
I don't think that's, I don't think that's osmosis, happenstance, smart people.
Bigger, stronger, durable athletes over time is who I'm with.
I've always told you that before.
I like traits and trunkey and thick.
I like all that stuff.
That stuff matters to me.
If you're a little small, a little thin,
you become Jaden Daniels.
You know?

Here's something that should not be as complicated as it is, getting a racist statue removed.
And here's something that should be a whole lot easier than it is, getting a new one put up in its place.
I'm Akila Hughes, and Rebel Spirit season two is about both of those things.
